Sidestory: To you, 7000 years ago.

23rd Millenium. Universal Calendar.
Planet Galaxia.
West Valkyrie Academy of Chrono-Engineering and Titan Operations.
A young man is standing in front of a holographic board. His eyes are downcast.
Disappointment.
There are many words written on the holographic board. The words are in the Galaxian alphabet.
But if one is a Galaxian, one can read it easily. The biggest words on the holographic board are at the top.
It read as "Titan Pilot Qualifiers," and below the title are lists of names of young men and women, mostly students from the Academy.
''Failed once again, huh." The young man said with mirth and disappointment.
He shook his head and straightened his uniform.
The bright sun above, orbited by Security Omniphages, emphasized the features of a young man.
His appearance is young. Probably a teen. His hair is stark black. He is wearing a dark blue blazer, blue pants, and a tie that has an emblem of the West Valkyrie Academy on it. The emblem portrays the silver helmet of a valkyrie with black wings.
The young man continued to walk on the open field of the academy. He plans to go back to his dorm room until—
"Oof!" The young man stopped abruptly as something—nay—someone bumped on his chest.
"Mou! Mal-chan, did you fail to pass again?" A rather cute voice echoed. It came from the person who stopped him.
It's a woman. And it's hugging his chest.
The woman has pink hair. But she is rather short. And her breasts….
The young man shook his head. Focusing back on the topic.
"Hey! Why do you do that every time?time! Also, it's not 'Mal-chan!', it's Malcador. M-A-L-C-A-D-O-R. Do you understand?" The young man, known as Malcador, scolded the woman.
"Ehhhh! But that's what I've been calling you since we were children!" The pink-haired woman pouted cutely.
"Hah…And I have to remind you everytime…" Malcador stated. As if he had done it a hundred times.
Then the face of the young woman became serious. She stared at him.
"…What, is there something on my face, Julis?"
She placed both of her arms behind her back and tiptoed around him.
"But you are sad, aren't you?" She empathetically asked him.
"…" Malcador did not respond.
His pink-haired childhood friend suddenly stopped walking.
"…Do you really still want to do that? To pilot a titan?" The pink-haired girl named Julia asked him.
"…..Yes." Malcador responded with a grunt.
"But your sister wouldn't want you doing tha—" She was cut off by Malcador.
"But this is the only chance that I have to find my sister! With the authority of a Titan Pilot, I can ask for her whereabouts!" Malcador said rather forcefully.
"…Mal-chan…" Julis said while looking at him. She wants to comfort him, but she can't.
"Then, Mal-chan, if you want to become a pilot, then…Cool head first, baka…" Julis whispered under her breath.
"….Julis…" Malcador called her name, with care in his eyes.
"…Hamphh!" Julis clapped her face, then said to Malcador—
"After class, we will go to the park, and you will win me my teddy bear! I want my little Angron!" Julis said enthusiastically.
"You still wanted that...stuffed toy…" Malcador said, remembering the figure of the so-called stuffed toy that Julis wanted.
"Hmmm, you can't decline! After school! Never forget!" Julis immediately ran off without warning.
"Hey wait, Julis—ahhh damn it!" Malcador suddenly said. But this time he is smiling.
=I=
Malcador continued his walk towards the academy. Then he saw people congregating on one side.
"Hey, they are here again, The Four Valkyries, the Great Student Council!" One man exclaimed.
"I hear that the four of them have the highest aptitude for piloting a Titan. It is said that they are all candidates for piloting one of those Castigator Titans for the Great Federation!" One man in the group watching said.
"Heh, that's not everything. They are also absolute beauties! The cream of the crop of the Federation elite!" Another man exclaimed.
Then the Four Valkyries walked down the hallway. All of the people stayed silent.
Regality and Beauty.
Strength and Respect.
The people watched with admiration as the four women walked in tandem.
"Heh, look at these small fries. Like damn parasites, they congregate." A voluptuous young woman with green-hair and a sword on her right hip said with a hint of disgust. Her arms were behind her head, like a woman not taking everything seriously.
"Ahhh! That's Isabella Beauregard! She came from the Beauregard House! It's a noble house famed for their space cartography and explorations! It is also said that she has a rather explosive personality. Once, there was a man who dared to ask her out. A moment after his declaration, she decked him with the pommel of her sword!" One of the young men in the group watching the woman said.
"Isabella, control your disposition. It's not fitting for a noble woman like you." A young woman with blue hair said while tilting her eyeglasses in position while holding a clipboard and an ornate sword beside her left hip. Her voluptuous breasts swayed as she made the movement.
"Hey! It's Sophia Fairchild! According to my data, she is the scion of House Fairchild!" one of the watchers echoed.
"Wait…F-Fairchild!? The noble house of Fairchild? The daughter of that Star-General Fairchild? That Star-Fairchild who was famous for clearing the Anaxias Prime of the Orks!?" One of the watchers in the crowd echoed.
"…..Too noisy…." Another one of the Valkyries said. She is different in a sense that she is absolutely not paying attention to anything. She is wearing a laboratory coat. Her hair was violet, and her eyes were heavy with bags. Though it did not reduce her beauty. In fact, such things increased her appeal, along with her gigantic breasts.
"That's Lysandra Winterbourne! She is from that famous family of Winterbourne! It is said that her family is the forefront at the Genetic and Chrono-Robotics research! In fact, I heard that the last Consul of the Republic awarded her family a distinguished award for creating a weapon that combines time-dilation and solar atomic splitting!" One of the watchers said.
"Nee, Aurora-chan, why don't we hurry up already! It's boring here!" Isabella Beauregard cheerfully asked to the foremost woman walking at the front.
"Isabella, we are here to do our duty. So, let's do it properly." The woman with long albino hair said coldly and stoically. Her beauty, compared to other women at the academy, belongs to the absolute.
Her disposition is that of a Lion. Prideful and Regal, never looking at anyone below her as they are not worthy of her attention.
"Sheesh.. Cold as always, Aurora-chan!" Isabella said rather jovially.
"T-t-t-hat's, Au-Aurora Nightingale!" One of the young men watching declared with excitement.
"It is said that the noble house of Nightingale is the one that owns the planet of Hyperion, famous for its commerce and bleeding edge technologies!" One of the young men declared.
"And not just that, I heard that her family was one of the main producers for the Titans of the Federation!" Another one declared.
"Heh! You are all outdated. Did you know that there are rumors that Student Council President Nightingale participated in the Battle of Artemis Delta?"
"A-a-Artemis Delta!? Isn't that the planet that was just besieged this past year by the Aeldari? She fought the Aeldari!?" One of the young men cannot hold his exasperation anymore.
"Oi Kaichou, how does it feel to fight against the Aeldari?" Isabella asked with a grin.
"It was a good fight." Aurora simply coldly replied.
"Ah shucks! I want to fight against them too. Fucking arrogant bastards." Isabella said with a vicious expression.
"Didn't I tell you to stop doing that beastly face?" Sophia Fairchild scolded Aurora once more.
"Che! Shut the hell up Killjoy!" Isabella responded with resentment.
Then they commenced their daily stare down contest.
But soon their petty fighting stop as Aurora glared at them.
"Sasuga, Aurora-chan…" Said Lysandra as she yawned.
And they continued their walk.
Well, at least until they saw an oblivious young man walking across their path.
The young man, seeming oblivious to the world, continued his path.
The Four Valkyries, not knowing that he was oblivious and thinking that he would avoid them, kept walking.
Then somehow, by the work of Warp or Chaos, a nanite can that should have been cleaned by an Assistant Android made its way to the feet of the oblivious, dark-haired young man who kept walking.
He stepped on the nanite can.
And then he tripped….
Directly to the breast of Aurora Nightingale.
=I=
'What in the warp are they talking about?' Malcador thought in his head as he kept walking with his hands on his pocket, ignoring the commotion.
He kept walking absentmindedly, reflecting on his failure earlier.
He did not see that, in his opposite direction, four voluptuous women were walking.
He also did not see that a nanite can suddenly rolled into his path, just a few distances away.
He kept walking.
And then he stepped on something. But it was already too late.
He slipped.
'What?' Malcador thought blankly. He closed his eyes, bracing for impact.
But instead of something hard, his face met a wall of soft pillows.
'So soft…' Malcador said with comfort while squeezing the "soft pillow".
'Wait soft—what?' Malcador immediately woke up from his daze.
He looked up.
And then he saw eyes that chilled him to his core.
Ruthless and prideful eyes that killed many people.
He stared at the emerald eyes of Aurora Nightingale herself.
She did not speak.
Malcador blushed and then scratched his head, "I-ah-I-guess I'm sorry…" he stated.
The Four Valkyries simply stared.
Many young men gathered in the congregation exploded, saying, "H-H-HE-HERETIC! "HOW DARE HE ENJOY PARADISE BEFORE US!" One of the young men suddenly exploded in anger while being held down by his friends in fear that he might escalate the already escalated situation.
"Pff—PFFFT! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Isabella immediately exploded. Laughing at the absurd situation.
"Isabella—" Sophia once again decided to reprimand her, but was cut off by Isabella once more.
"D-did yo—AHAHAHAHAHA—did you see that? That's the first time I saw a man does that to Kaichou! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Isabella continued her laughter.
"Wu-wu-what? I didn't do anything! It was an accident!" Malcador reasoned out.
Aurora Nightingale did not speak. In fact, she is silent.
Unbelievably silent. Like a Haunter at Night.
"H-hey, I'm sorry, alright? I didn't mean it. What is your name again? Ni-nig-nightingveil? Nightingvan?" Malcador asked obliviously.
Sophia Fairchild almost exploded in anger. But she kept her cool, as always. But it doesn't stop the insult that flew out of her mouth.
"It's Aurora Nightingale, you imbecile peasant!" Sophia corrected the young man rather angrily.
"Ahhh! Aurora Nightingale! Right!" He said as an imaginary lightbulb appeared on Malcador's head.
Aurora wasn't smiling. She just kept staring at him. Not once changing her expression.
"A-anyway I'm sorry, I didn't mean it! Be-besides I already have a girlfriend!" Malcador, the imbecile that he was, misunderstood something.
But you ask if he has a girlfriend? No, not yet. He's a wizard after all.
"A-anyway! I apologize and that is that, bye-bye!" Malcador declared and immediately ran away from the site, going back to his dorm lightning fast.
"….." Aurora Nightingale did not speak. She did not even show any signs of anger.
Absolute humiliation.
It was the humiliation of the century. Even the Aeldari would not humiliate her like this.
"K-kaichou?" Isabella nervously asked. Gone was her happy-go-lucky disposition.
"…Sophia…." Aurora said with a whisper.
"Ye-yes my Lady?" Sophia replied rather submissively.
"Run your database. Search the name of that wretched being." Aurora Nightingale asked Sophia. But what is strange is that there is no anger in her voice. It was too calm.
Too calm in fact.
"Y-yes, my lady." Sophia Fairchild ran her database, which is on her holographic clipboard.
After a moment, a result comes up.
"Ah, I found his identity, my Lady. He's a student at this school. His name is Malcador Perturabo. He's currently attending as a first-year student in the second semester…." Sophia Fairchild wants to continue, but she stopped speaking.
"Continue." Nightingale simply stated.
"Y-yes my Lady. It seems that Malcador tried to apply for the Titan Pilot Qualifying Exam. But every single time, he failed. In fact, this is his 20th try. He tries to apply every week." Sophia Fairchild concluded.
"Heh! Rather pathetic, don't you think?" Isabella Beauregard said with mockery in her voice.
"….Malcador Perturabo…." Aurora Nightingale whispered.
"You are finished." She simply stated. Her eyes are utterly blank.
=I=
Malcador kept running until he couldn't see the site of the situation anymore.
"Warp damn it! I just failed my latest application, and this happened! Can this day get any worse?" He asked with incredulity.
He soon stopped running after he saw that he was near his assigned room.
Malcador sighed, "It's been a long day…I want to rest."
Then, Malcador opened his door with a retinal scan.
"Access granted."
He was absolutely tired from his endeavors.
He did not see that there were foreign apparel and equipment beside the couch in his living room.
He walked upstairs to his bathroom while removing his clothes, by instinct.
He is now openly naked. Everything is revealed.
And then he opened it.
Then he saw something.
Blonde hair. Golden eyes. Apex of Beauty.
"…" Malcador simply stared at the person in front of him.
Naked. Breast of the ancient Aphrodite herself. Ambrosia lips. Tantalizing form.
Innocent.
"…" The woman in front of him didn't say anything.
They kept staring at each other for several seconds.
Then they both shouted.
""AHHHHHHHH!""
=I=
"…Pervert…." The beautiful young woman glared at him.
"Hey! I can say the same to you! No woman has seen my private parts yet, you know!" Malcador irritatingly replied.
His day did get worse.
"And why are you even here in my room? Why don't you get your own room? You look like a noble anyway!" Malcador countered.
"I-I was enrolled here by my parents!" The blonde woman replied.
"Yeah? And why don't you get your own room?" Malcador frustratedly asked.
"Be-because this is the room I was assigned! I didn't know someone was in here!" The blonde woman replied.
"Huh? Where is your proof?" Malcador demanded.
The blonde teen immediately scrounged her luggage for something.
"Here!" The blonde woman angrily showed her room number card made of nanites to Malcador.
"'WVACT #303….. It's indeed the same room as I am…" Malcador stated with such confusion.
"See! I'm not wrong." The woman was smug.
"Now get out of here! This is my room now!" The young woman declared.
"W-what!? You can't do this to me!" Malcador countered.
"Yes, I can!" The woman replied back.
"You know what? I will just call the dorm manager." Malcador said immediately.
He grabbed his holographic tablet and dialed a number.
The irritated man and wrathful woman waited for a moment until—
"Hello? What's the problem?" The female dorm manager appeared in the holographic tablet and asked both of them.
"You gave her the wrong room!" Malcador answered.
"This is MY room! So why is this imbecile here." The young woman asked.
"Huh? That can't be right… What's your room number?" The female dorm manager asked.
""304"" both of them answered.
"Hmmm…..Oh! There it is! According to this….." The dorm manager reviewed her database.
Then the dorm manager smirked.
"Well, according to this, you are both in the correct room." She stated.
""WHAT?"" both of them asked.
"It is; here, look at it." The dorm manager showed them the database.
What appeared was a picture of two people and the room assignment number "304".
"B-but I am a female, and he's a male! That should be a discrepancy!" The young woman demanded.
"Y-yeah!" Malcador, for the first time, agreed with her.
"It is approved by the West Valkyrie Board themselves. Look, here is their sign." The dorm manager showed the board's approval sign on the holographic tablet.
"…" The two people in the room were silent.
"Well, I guess that resolved it, huh? I guess you just have to deal with it until graduation. Happy school life! Until then, see ya!" The female manager declared and cut off the communication.
The two people were silent.
No one breaks the silence.
Until the young man sighed and chose to initiate.
"My name is Malcador Perturabo. What's yours?" He forced himself to speak.
"Shut up peasant." The blonde woman muttered under her breath.
Both of them were silent.
"Look, I don't want this either, but we just have to deal with it ourselves." Malcador stated. Clearly not liking the situation.
"I will introduce myself again, I'm Malcador Perturabo. What is your name?" This time, he asked with respect.
"…" The blonde woman stared.
Malcador also stared at her.
Then she sighed and stood up.
She positioned herself the way a noble would position when they introduce themselves.
She began to speak.
"I am Anastasia Von Laurent. The heiress to the throne of Aetheria. Kneel before me." She said with an arrogant yet innocent smile.
And so, destinies intertwined at the twilight of the golden age. An age before the grimdark future.
=I=
And so, Malcador continued his harem shenanigans.
Also, Fifth chapter is being made. This is just a sidestory.
