Chapter 51
[Silence]
It was morning.
"Are you curious, Tomura Shigataki? About this boy, Izuku Midoriya?"
Those were the first words that the League of Villains leader had heard from Kurogiri, since he had returned to the bar with the Figure in tow. Tomura couldn't answer that question however since someone else came into the bar through the door. "Shigaraki." It was Giran's voice. "Your League of Villains has been the talk of the town for the last several days. Word on the streets is you're about to start something big."
Tomura then clenched his fist, decaying the picture of Izuku that he was holding in it as he responded to his dealer. "And?...who did you bring?"
The black market dealer merely smirked and opened the door all the way, letting two people come through the door. The first one was male, had black hair, black clothes, and many purple patches of gnarled skin on his face and arms. The second was a girl with blond hair messily done in twin buns, having many strands of hair sticking out from different angles on those buns, and she wore what looked like a plain school uniform.
The male of the pair spoke first. "So it's really you, huh?" The three League members looked at him as he continued to speak. "I've seen you in pictures, but I gotta say, you're way grosser in person." He sounded unimpressed.
Then the girl spoke. "Wow! It's the weird hand guy! You're friends with my Hero, Stain, right?" She sounded excited as she kept speaking. "Cool! Let me join the League! I wanna be in your group."
Not even ten seconds after those two spoke, they left their impressions on each of the three. The League Leader then said. "Kurogiri, get rid of these two."
"That was fast." The Figure commented.
"I can already tell that they're just as much of a problem as you." Shigaraki responded to the Figure's comment. "A brat." He referred to the girl. "and a guy with no manners." He referred to the man.
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST The Murderer's Eye]
"Now now, Tomura Shigaraki." The purple mist Villain replied. "They came all this way. The least we can do is hear them out. Give them a chance." He then looked towards Giran. "Besides. This broker is respected in the underworld. They're bound to be valuable assets."
"Like em or not, you still owe me a finder's fee. In cash." Said broker pointed out. "I suppose I could introduce the two of them before I go." He then gestured to the female. "This one looks like an adorable highschool girl, right? She's actually the suspect in a series of deaths where the victims all bled out. So far, her name and face have been kept out of the media."
"Toga Here! Himiko Toga!" She exclaimed. "Life is too hard. I just want to make it easier to live in this dumb world. I wanna be Mister Stainy! I wanna KILL Mister Stainy! Come on Handy Man. Please let me join your League of Villains!" She was very enthusiastic about this opportunity, and the Figure actually liked that kind of sadistic glee. It reminded them of some fond memories.
"You gotta be kidding me." Tomura replied, a little freaked out at how excited she was. "Is she crazy?"
"Well she can hold a conversation. For the most part at least." Giran replied. "Come on, she can be useful."
"Maybe." The Figure spoke up, bringing the broker's attention to them. "You got what I asked for?" The grey haired man smirked and reached into his vest, pulling out two folders and handing them to the Figure. "Good."
Giran then gestured to the man. "And this guy. Hasn't committed any flashy crimes, but he's taken Stain's ideology to heart."
"I don't like this." He said. "Is your group really dedicated to the Hero Killer's mission? I can't imagine you are if you're gonna let this little psycho join you." He referred to Himiko, who only responded with a light giggle.
"Grow up." Shigaraki stated. "She may be a psycho, but at least she knows how to introduce herself to people." The Figure didn't show it, but was actually surprised that Tomura defended her. "Don't just stare. What's your name?"
"Right now, I'm going by Dabi." He introduced himself.
"I already have one anonymous member in my group. Give me your real name." Tomura ordered.
"I'll tell you when you need to know it." Dabi insisted. "In any case, my new purpose is to carry out the Hero Killer's will."
"That wasn't what I asked you, patchwork." The League leader commented as he got off of his chair. "Geez. Why is everyone so hung up on Stain? He's all I ever hear about." Kurogiri knew what was about to happen and urged his master to not do what he does, but the boy didn't even listen as he said "Every damn day. It's PISSING me off."
Kurogiri already knew what was about to happen and sprung into action, while The Figure and Giran just watched.
[Silence]
"You two are DONE." Tomura reached out to grab both of them. Dabi stuck his arm towards him as his palm began to emit smoke, like he was about to ignite a fire. Toga pulled out a knife and thrusted it towards him. But all three attacks were negated as multiple small warp gates appeared in front of their arms and blocked off their attack routes.
"Please calm yourself, Tomura Shigaraki." The purple void Villain urged. "If your desire is to be realized, then we must increase our numbers. Now that we're in the spotlight, our chance is at hand. You must learn to be more accepting." He then moved his head towards the boy's ear and whispered to him. "You must use them, and the ideology Stain has left behind. Just like how we must use our anonymous ally's thirst for power and vengeance to our advantage."
Tomura pulled his hands out of the warp gates and walked past the pair as they pulled their hands out of the warp gates. "I'm out of here." He said, no longer interested in doing any interviewing.
"Where are you off to?" Giran asked.
"Shut up." The League Leader responded before leaving the room through the door and shutting it.
"I try to make a point of not complaining about a client, but he's too young. And far too immature." The broker commented.
"Really thought he was gonna kill us for a sec." Himiko said, still keeping that smile on her face.
"That guy makes me want to vomit." Dabi added his two cents.
"Shall we get back to you about recruitment at a later date?" Kurogiri offered.
"Who said the interview was over?" The Figure spoke up, once again bringing the attention back to them.
This caught the two League member hopefuls by surprise, and Dabi spoke up. "And who are you supposed to be?"
"Like you said before, I'll tell you when you need to know." The Figure replied.
"Hm...fair enough." Dabi left it at that. "But I still gotta ask. Does this League really want to carry out Stain's ideology?"
[Play KH3 OST Strange Whispers -cutscene-]
"I personally couldn't care less about society." The Figure said. "But I do know that this League of Villains wants to change this world, by eliminating the people's hope in Heroes. I'm coming along because I'd like to create some of that chaos, and after that, make a certain few individuals suffer for what they put me through."
Dabi's expression seemed to change slightly, almost as if he resonated with that last part, before he said. "Hmm. I can understand that."
"Me too!" Toga agreed with him. "Changing the world for the better. Making it easier for us all to live in. All the Heroes ever do is enforce a strict code that favors people like Endeavor and steps on people like us."
"And by removing the people's trust and hope in Heroes would make the world a whole lot easier for us to live in, because no Hero praise means no favoritism." The Figure concluded.
"YEAH!" Himiko cheered.
"I guess on that, we can agree." Dabi replied.
The Figure then got off of their chair and walked to the pair. They looked at Toga. "Your enthusiasm..." then to Dabi. "and your devotion to your goal. Both of those are very good characteristics that will help you go far. But if you REALLY want to change society for the better, then I think it would be best for you to show me."
"You want me to kill somebody for you?" Himiko got all giddy. "Where? When? How? Can I take their blood?"
"Eugh. You're talking like a horny vampire." Dabi commented. "But, I get it. Actions speak louder than words. So what do you want us to do to prove ourselves?"
The Figure then created a dark corridor and turned to Kurogiri. "I'll be where you found me last time." They then turned to the pair. "Follow me if you want help in achieving our shared goal." They then stepped through the void.
Toga didn't have any second thoughts and immediately walked through the void, having an excited and literal bloodthirsty look on her face. Dabi stayed still for a moment, thinking about what he had just heard, then he lightly sighed and stepped into the dark corridor. As the corridor closed, Giran and Kurogiri were left alone and the broker spoke up. "That guy is a good sweet talker."
"Indeed." The warp gate Villain agreed as he poured an alcoholic beverage for his current guest.
[Silence]
The students of Class 1-A were inside their designated classroom, waiting for their homeroom teacher to arrive. While most people were in a good mood, some weren't. "E-Everyone..." Mina began to speak, on the verge of literal tears. "I'm looking forward to hearing...all your stories of...how fun...camp was." She wasn't the only one down in the dumps, as Denki, Ejiro, and Rikido also shared equally disappointed expressions.
Izuku, Hanta and Sora were conversing with the four of them and the green haired boy tried to raise their spirits by saying "Maybe they'll end up letting you go. There might be a last minute twist or something."
Sero put his hand on Midoriya's shoulder and spoke up. "Stop it, Midoriya. By saying that out loud, you're just jinxing them."
"Come on Hanta. At least let us give them some hope." Sora said. "We know Aizawa's got a soft...ish side."
"They said whoever failed the exams would have to skip training camp and live summer school Hell." Kaminari pointed out as he faced away from Izuku and Sora. "We didn't pass the practicals so we're doomed." He turned around and poked at the green haired boy's eye a bit too hard as he raised his voice. "Don't you get it Midoriya!? OR DID THAT SAIX GUY KNOCK ALL THE BRAINS OUT OF YOU!"
"Ease up, Kaminari." Sero told him. "I'm not sure I'll get to go either. Our team only passed thanks to Mineta. I got knocked out. And since we don't know how they're scoring stuff, I might have flunked."
Denki took his hand off of Izuku's face and then faced Hanta as he begged. "At least bring us back some camp souvenirs please!" letting Midoriya put his hand on his eye while Sora and Ochako checked on him to see if he was okay.
The door to the classroom swiftly opened and Aizawa spoke up as he arrived at his class. "Once the bell rings, you should be in your seats." He stated as everyone who wasn't sitting down very swiftly got to theirs and promptly sat in it. The homeroom teacher then walked in and greeted his class. "Morning. Unfortunately there are a few of you who did not pass your final exams. So when it comes to the training camp in the woods..." He then put on a...strange smile for a brief moment as he said "Everyone is going!"
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST U.A. Corridors]
Just as Izuku said, it was a last minute twist. Kirishima then spoke up "We really get to go to camp?"
"Seriously?" Mina excitedly said, on the verge of crying happy tears now.
"Yeah." Aizawa confirmed. "The good news is that no one bombed the written exam. Five failed the practical, badly. Two teams of course, and then Sero failed as well."
Hanta had a distraught look on his face as he facepalmed and said "Crap, I knew it. Mineta made it to the gate, but I didn't do near enough to pass."
"Allow me to explain." The 1-A Homeroom teacher began. "For the practical battles, we purposefully and heavily lowered the capabilities of the Organization members so that the battles would be difficult, but passable. Otherwise, you never would have stood a chance. We were interested in observing how you each work together and approach the task at hand."
"Except for Sora, right?" Mashirao pointed out.
"Like the principal stated before, Sora personally fought all of the members you each fought, alone." Aizawa stated. "Like it or not, Sora is in a league of his own, so fighting a member at full strength by himself would be the only way to properly test him the same way we tested the rest of you. Besides, the training camp will focus on building your strength. Those who failed need those lessons the most. We were never going to separate you. That was just a logical deception we used."
[Silence]
Sora then spoke up next. "Like what you did back on the first day of school."
Tenya then stood up and raised his hand, exclaiming "Mr. Aizawa, this is the second time you've lied to us! Aren't you afraid we'll lose faith in you!?"
"Uh...a little blunt there Tenya." Uraraka commented.
"That's a good point." The homeroom teacher noted. "I'll consider it. But I wasn't lying to you about everything. Failure is failure." He reminded the students who failed. "We've prepared extra lessons for the five of you. Frankly, they'll be far tougher than what you faced at summer school."

Elsewhere, deep in a remote mountain forest, a dark corridor opened and out of it came three people. The first, was the Figure, the one who had created said dark corridor in the first place. The second was Himiko, who followed the Figure without hesitation. And the third was Dabi, who had followed them, but had a slight uneasy feeling that he didn't physically show. As the three stepped out, the dark corridor vanished, leaving them all here until either another one was made, or should Kurogiri decide to come see them.
The Figure then turned around and said. "Good. Nobody's here to interrupt this time."
"Interrupt what?" Dabi questioned.
"When the league took an interest in Stain, we didn't just let him in and talk about himself." The Figure explained. "Before that, he had an encounter with me, and I had him show me what he could do. Until we had to cut that time short due to Heroes arriving."
The pair of unhooded Villains both glanced at each other, already knowing what was about to happen. Toga had knives in each hand as she looked back at the Figure, while smoke once again began to come from Dabi as he also looked back at the Figure.
[Silence]
The Figure knew that the pair knew what was coming and said "Good. I can skip the explanation." Before vanishing and reappearing a couple dozen yards away. They then brandished their Keyblade and pointed it in the pair's direction. "The Hero Killer lasted a full minute before we had to stop. Try to last a little longer than that."
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST Vanguard Action Squad -All Out Attack-]
As the Figure stood in place, the pair knew that their opponent was waiting for one of them to make the first move. Toga was about to go in, but Dabi stepped forward and pointed his right arm towards the Figure. Smoke came from his right arm and then small blue flames began to come out of his hand. Himiko figured it would be best to step back and when she did, a massive wave of azure blue fire erupted from Dabi's hand and flowed towards the Figure.
The Figure stayed in place but raised their blade in front of them and telekinetically spun it in front of them like a fan. When the fire reached them, the blade was able to block the attack with relative ease. The Figure then ran forward while keeping the blade spinning in front of them.
Dabi could see his wave of fire being ineffective as he saw his stream get smaller and smaller. The blue flame user stopped his attack, but when he was preparing himself to go on the defensive, Toga ran past him and went directly towards the Figure, who had grabbed their blade by the hilt and prepared to use it against the dual knife wielder.
Himiko threw one of her knives towards the Figure, who used their Keyblade to block the blade while still running towards her. As the two closed the distance between each other, the figure went to slash her chest, only for her to slide under them and attempt a slash at their shins. The Figure jumped off the ground and front flipped over the attack.
As they landed, they saw Toga throw her other knife towards them as she grabbed the first one. The Figure caught the weapon with their free hand and quickly threw it back towards her. The girl caught the knife easily and licked her lower lip before running straight towards her opponent once more, ready to continue her test to prove that she's League Material.
While the two continued going at it, Dabi watched and circled around the pair, watching how the Figure fights and waiting for the proper time to strike. He also watched how Himiko fought and saw that she would prioritize evasion. He could use that to his advantage. Once the two separated, and he was behind the Figure Dabi made his move.
Toga saw Dabi make another massive wave of blue fire, and then saw the Figure turn their attention to that, making the blade spin telekinetically in between them and the fire. The girl once again threw one of her knives towards the Figure, only for them to once again catch it with their free hand. She didn't stop there however and ran towards them.
The Figure saw Himiko come towards them and when she closed the distance, she attempted to cut their leg, but the Figure used the knife that they caught to not only parry the attack, but also disarm the wielder of it. The knife that Toga used was sent a good distance away, but the girl focused more on dodging the Figure's counter slash with the knife in their hand.
The Figure then ran towards Dabi again and forced him to stop blasting his fire by getting close. The Figure then slashed at the flame user, but he dodged the attack and pointed his arm towards the Figure, before sending out a large burst of blue flames at his opponent. As the fire cleared, he saw that the Figure had backed away a good distance to avoid the burst.
As the Figure was about to go on the offensive, they heard something get thrown and turned to see a knife a few feet from their face and coming in fast. The Figure barely avoided the thrown weapon but then saw that Himiko was now back in their face and on the offensive, slashing at them with her second knife while smiling like a kid playing with her friends.
The Figure once again avoided her rapid amount of slashes and when she thrusted her knife towards them, they sidestepped the attack and got behind her. They were about to thrust their blade into Toga's back, but suddenly another wave of blue fire was sent to them and it reached their location before they could do their spinning blade trick a third time.
Himiko grabbed the blade she threw and watched as the azure inferno engulfed the area that the Figure was standing in. There was no way they could have blocked that in time. Dabi thought the same thing as he stopped shooting the blue fire and watched as it burnt the area their opponent was standing at. He smiled and enjoyed the bright blue view.
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST Iron Battle]
Suddenly, Dabi felt a cold rush all around his body and before he knew it he suddenly found himself covered in ice. As he was in shock from the sudden cold, he couldn't process what had just happened. Toga could, as she saw the Figure walk from behind him and look towards her. The girl then jumped back and retreated into the dense trees of this forest, while the Figure swiftly followed her there as well. As soon as they went in though, they lost sight of the girl. That didn't matter though, as they could still sense where she was and knew that she was still close.
The Figure stayed still and looked around the area, scanning their surroundings to see all the places that they could be ambushed. As this was a dense section of trees, there were of course many places from above and the sides, but the Figure has dealt with this kind of stuff before while keeping the Heartless population in check in this area. They stood still and waited.
Himiko watched the Figure's actions from the shadows and observed how they scanned their surroundings. She knew that they were looking at all the potential places to ambush them, and she gleefully watched as the Figure did so while she prepared her attack. She's dealt with people chasing her and luring people into places like this was her element. Now that her prey was in the perfect position it was time for her to strike and get some delicious blood.
Toga blitzed out of hiding, running directly towards the Figure in a frontal assault. Out of all the ways she could attack, the least expected was a direct one. As the Figure barely managed to catch on and attempted to slash at her, she jumped in the air and flipped over the Figure. The girl then threw her blades towards the Figure's back whose she was close and managed to get both of her knives to pierce their target. She was surprised to see that her opponent had no reaction, but she chalked it up to being that the knives didn't pierce the skin. That wasn't the case.
Himiko then saw that the blade went through the Figure's body, which was now opaque and motionless. The girl then felt her leg get grabbed and she was suddenly thrown out of the air and hit her back on the base of one of the trees. Before she could even process what happened, she suddenly felt her leg get grabbed again and she was thrown back out to the open area that Dabi was left in. The girl skidded on the ground for a moment and then rolled herself back onto her feet, only to see the Figure blitz past her. She then felt stings everywhere on her body.
The Figure watched as she dropped to the ground and then looked towards Dabi, still trapped in the ice. As they walked away from Toga and towards him, they noticed that the blame user was actually smiling, as if being frozen was actually something that would give him an advantage. As the Figure got closer and closer, Dabi then spoke up. "I gotta say. I wasn't expecting ice powers. But since you got em, I might as well thank you for the cool down. I really needed it."
Then, a massive amount of Blue fire erupted from Dabi's body, melting the ice away in seconds and somehow seeming to make him even more powerful, which legitimately surprised the Figure. "So ice doesn't weaken you. It actually, resets you." They realized. "Good to know." The Figure now knew what to do. If ice resets him, then he can overheat. So then the solution was simply to fight fire, with fire.
Dabi then sent out another massive wave of blue flames towards the Figure, but instead of blocking it like before, they sent out their own blue colored dark Firaga blast and when the two fire blasts met in the middle, they created a torrent of bright blue and purple flames that cancel eachother out. The intensity of the clash had created a heat and shockwave so strong that it forced Dabi back a few feet, made the Figure brace for a brief moment and sent Toga tumbling back into the trees.
The blue flame user saw that his opponent also had very powerful flames as well and got serious. He spread his arms out and had his azure flames engulf his hands. As he began to charge up this attack, the Figure raised their blade straight up and a bright purple fire began to form at the tip. The Figure was now also charging up a powerful flame attack that would either cancel out, or overpower Dabi's. As the two took a brief moment to finish charging, they were ready to let loose and finish the fight
Both fire blasts went off at the same time and clashed, creating an even larger and wider torrent of bright blue and purple flames. But Dabi wasn't finished as he turned up the heat and forced more fire out of his arms, soon overpowering the purple flames and making a gargantuan blue wave of fire. As the fire engulfed the area in front of him, he suddenly felt arms give out from the full power fire blast and he was forced to stop and look at the blue hellscape he just created with a calm yet cocky look on his face as he had expectedly overpowered his opponent's fire.
That feeling of accomplishment quickly went away though, as he suddenly felt a body slam into his back and cause him to stumble and fall to the ground. He looked and saw that it was Himiko's cut up body that had hit him, and when he looked in the direction that she came from, the Figure was there, blitzing towards him. Dabi raised his arm and sent out a small burst of blue fire towards his opponent, but the Figure dodged the attack, circled behind the blue flame user and blasted him in the back point blank with a dark Fire attack.
Dabi's fire went out and he finally dropped to the floor next to Toga, physically exhausted from putting so much effort into that last large attack, and succumbing to the heat that he couldn't handle anymore. The Figure stood over both of them as the blue fire began to burn the trees behind them.
[Silence]
As the Figure looked at their defeated opponents, "Agh...damn...I FELT that one." Dabi commented as he laid on the floor.
Then there was a weak giggle coming from Himiko as she then began to creepily sing. "You're burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrning. I'm bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeding. Our hoooooded friend is seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeing. Uuuuuuuuuuuus down, oooooooooooon the ground. I woooooooonder what we'll doooooooooooooooo now."
[Play KH3 Re Mind OST Destai ~ Organization 13 -cutscene-]
The Figure was silent for a moment, before letting out a dark chuckle that ended up turning into a laugh as they leaned down and spoke to the downed pair of Villains. "I like you two." They then raised their blade and suddenly a green aura surrounded the three of them. As both downed Villains no longer felt any pain, even feeling rejuvenated as they got themselves back to their feet and saw that Dabi was no longer burning, and that Toga was no longer bleeding. "Go get your knives, then follow me."
As Himiko went to get her weapons, Dabi spoke up. "I'm guessing we passed?"
The Figure made another dark corridor and said. "You lasted longer than Stain." They then stepped through the dark corridor. Dabi then shortly followed and then Toga quickly followed him. The dark corridor then closed as the blue fire continued to burn the trees in the area.
Back at the bar, Giran had just finished his drink and said. "Reload." signaling Kurogiri to refill his glass. As the alcohol filled the cup, the dark corridor appeared in the middle of the room and out came the three of them. The broker then spoke up. "So, how'd it go?"
"They're worth your price." The Figure stated. "I'm sure Shigaraki will think the same when I tell him the results of our little... 'sparring match' when he gets back."
"Really now." Giran replied. "That's good to hear. I'd hate for my contributions to go unnoticed." He downed his alcohol before continuing what he was saying. "Or unpaid."
"Will that be all Mr. Giran?" Kurogiri asked.
"Just pay me the finders fee and I'll get out of your hair." The Broker said. The void themed Villain warped in a small case, which when opened, revealed to have a very large sum of money in it. Giran took his time counting the cash to make sure that it was the correct amount, and when it was confirmed that it was, he slid his once again empty glass back to Kurogiri and began to walk out the door with the case in his hands, while Himiko and Dabi followed him.
"Before you go..." The Figure spoke up, making the three stop. "Can you two keep a secret?"
"Depends on the info." Dabi answered.
"I can when I want to." Toga responded.
"Outside of this bar, until I say so, I don't exist." The Figure told the pair in a very threatening tone. "If it doesn't stay that way, then it will be you who doesn't exist."
After a brief moment of silence. Dabi spoke up. "Deal."
"Okay!" Himiko happily replied. "Hope to see you soon, mystery person!"
And with that, they left The Figure and Kurogiri alone in the bar, closing the door behind them. The purple Villain then spoke to his anonymous ally. "You certainly have a way with words."
"I know how to get people to do what I want." The Figure stated.
"Something that could be very well taught to Tomura Shigaraki." Kurogiri pointed out.
"Maybe." The Figure agreed. "But that depends on if he's willing to learn it."
The two ended their conversation there and each went about their own business.
[Silence]
Back at U.A. classes went on as per usual and the day went by pretty quickly. Nothing interesting really happened during the classes, or lunch, so when school was out, it kind of felt fast. It was probably due to the class' excitement about going to Summer camp. "This is gonna be great." Ojiro said as he held a Training camp guide in his hands. "I'm so glad that we're all going together."
"Looks like we'll be at the Training camp a full week." Iida noted as he read the guide in his hands.
"I've gotta find a bigger suitcase." Midoriya thought out loud.
"Yeah, I don't even have a bathing suit." Kaminari mentioned. "Guess I need to buy some stuff."
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST Datte Atashi no Hero]
"Like Night Vision goggles!" Minoru spoke up, earning him a glare from Sora.
"Guys. Since we're off tomorrow and we just finished exams, I have the best idea!" Toru exclaimed. "Why doesn't class 1-A go shopping together?"
Everyone except two in the class perked up at that idea. "Hey, yeah!" Denki agreed. "We've never hung out as a class before."
"Bakugo." Kirishima turned to him. "See you there right?"
"I can't think of anything more annoying." Katsuki bluntly said as he walked out of the classroom.
"Will you come, Todoroki?" Izuku asked.
"I visit my mom on days off." Shoto told him.
"YOU PARTY POOPERS!" Mineta shouted. "Don't you ever get tired of being so serious!?"
As it was decided that 19 of the 21 members of class 1-A would go on a group shopping trip to a place called Kiyashi Ward Shopping Mall, they all went home to prepare for the trip. When Sora mentioned at dinner that he'll only go to hang out, due to him not having any money to spend. Inko gave him enough money to buy essentials like a bathing suit, extra outdoor clothing, and some extra for if Sora got hungry and wanted lunch during his shopping trip.
As the next day came, Sora and Midoriya had their breakfast, got dressed in some casual clothing and went to meet with their classmates. The pair got there about the same time as everyone else did and Mina spoke up. "Oh man, do I love this place. It's got a ton of different stores to shop at and they're all super cool and hip. The Kiyashi Ward Shopping Mall!"
"They carry designs for all body types, and have a range of gear for everyone from teens to seniors. The logistics of..." Izuku went on, going into another muttering spree.
"You're going to scare the children." Fumikage told Midoriya. "Stop."
"Aw. Did the Bird Prince of Darkness get a soft spot for kids back at Zoo Dreamland?" Sora teased, causing Denki and Tenya to hold in their laughter, while the other 1-A students looked confused and slightly amused at the nickname.
"DON'T CALL ME THAT!" Tokoyami loudly grunted through his teeth, clearly embarrassed by that nickname.
Suddenly, many pedestrians in the mall looked towards the group and recognized the group of students. "Whoa! Are those U.A. students?" "1-A!" "I saw them on TV!" "The Sports Festival was SOOOO GOOD!"
Sora smiled and waved at them while Uraraka commented "I can't believe they still remember that."
As each classmate was figuring out what they needed and wanted to get for the training camp, the class began to split off and go shopping with any classmates that were looking for the same thing that they were looking for. Kyouka and Momo went to go find duffel bags. Hagakure and Kaminari decided to go look for outdoorsy shoes together. Mineta went for some...questionable items. And so on and so forth.
[Silence]
The class agreed to meet back up at around 3:00. As everyone split, all that was left was Izuku, Sora, and Ochako. "Looks like it's just us three left." Midoriya noted.
"Yeah." Uraraka agreed.
"Yep." Sora also agreed.
"So, what are you gonna shop for today?" The green haired boy asked Ochako. "I want to find a few heavier wrist weights so I can up my training."
"I mostly just need bug spray." The girl told Izuku, then she turned to Sora. "What about you Sora?"
"I need a few things." The Keyblade wielder began to list off his stuff. "Some outdoor clothes that won't rip up instantly during training. A bathing suit. I'll probably get bug spray too while I'm at it." The boy then looked around. "But first, I need to find a map of this place. I've never been here before."
"Wait, seriously?" Uraraka questioned.
"I grew up by beaches. Okay?" Sora explained. "They don't have malls for tropical areas."
"I've been here a few times before." The bubbly girl stated as she grabbed Sora by the wrist and began excitedly moving forward "Let's go get that bug spray and then I'll help you find your other stuff!"
"Gah!...Okay!" Sora replied as he was quickly pulled by his female friend in the direction that they needed to go.
As those two were caught up in that moment, Midoriya was accidentally left behind as the two almost instantly blended into the crowd. "Um...ok." The green haired boy thought aloud "We came together as a class, but here I am all by myself."
"Oh. It's someone from U.A. Nice. I want an autograph." A hooded pedestrian with a hoarse voice said as he walked up to the green haired boy and wrapped an arm around his shoulder. "You're the one who got beat to hell at the Sports Festival, right?"
Izuku was a bit uncomfortable with how up close this person was, but played it off as cool as he could with a small chuckle and replied "Uh...yeah."
"Aren't you one of the students who ran into the Hero Killer in the Hosu incident too?" The pedestrian added. "You're practically famous."
"You sure do know a lot." Midoriya commented, still trying to play it cool.
"What can I say, I'm just a big fan of you and that spiky brown haired friend of yours. Is he here too."
"Uh...yeah. You just missed him." Izuku answered.
"Aw, that's too bad. I wanted to talk to him too, but you'll do just fine." The pedestrian said. "I can't believe I'm running into you again."

That last comment made Midoriya pause, changing his expression from one of discomfort, to one of small shock. "It makes me think that it might not be a coincidence." The pedestrian continued to speak as he seamlessly wrapped his hand around the boy's throat and gripped it with all but his middle finger. "No. No. This feels like it's destiny." Izuku's expression now changed again to one of dread as he had a very bad feeling he knew who this was. "Oh right. From your point of view, we haven't met since the attack on U.A." The two glanced towards each other and made eye contact. "Why don't we spend some time catching up, Izuku Midoriya."
"...Tomura...Shigaraki..." The One For All user uttered out, knowing full well what situation he was in.
[Silence]
"Act natural. Don't make a scene." Tomura told him. "I'm just an old friend that you ran into at the mall. Calm down and wipe that look off your face. I think we should have a conversation is all. A friendly chat. Oh, and of course if you try to run or fight me in any way..." he moved his middle finger closer to the boy's throat. "Well it'll be fast, and since you're friends with Sora, you've seen the damage that happens when all five of my fingers touch something. Only in your case, you don't have a barrier to slow it down. So in seconds, you'll be nothing more than dust and powdered bones."
"If you do that here with so many people...a Hero will come and catch you in no time." quietly Midoriya pointed out. "You couldn't escape."
"I don't doubt that. And with Sora somewhere here, he'd probably keep me here until then." Shigaraki commented. "But just look at these sheep. Any one of them could use their quirk and start a massacre whenever they wanted. And yet they're all here...smiling. They think that laws and rules will protect them, because they assume that everyone has their same morals. They're convinced nothing bad will ever happen to them." He then mentioned a very likely hypothetical scenario. "After you, I could kill ten, maybe even twenty more people before Sora comes to try and stop me, and with the rules put in place, when Sora does that and a pro shows up, your death and the others will be on his hands."
Izuku conceded. "I get it...let's talk."
Tomura let out a light chuckle as he leaned on the boy. "This is nice. A real moment. Let's go grab a seat and get comfortable why don't we."
Elsewhere on the second level of the store, Uraraka and Sora were at a store that sold camping equipment. The girl had finally let go of Sora's wrist once the pair reached their destination and said "Here we are. This place is bound to have some bug spray and some other stuff on your list."
"Huh. Sweet." The Keyblade wielder replied. "And I thought Izuku here was the..." the boy turned towards the direction they came from to see that Midoriya wasn't in his sight. "Um..."
"What is it?" Ochako asked.
"I think we accidentally ditched Izuku." Sora told her.
The girl looked in the same direction Sora was looking and also noticed a lack of Midoriya's presence. "Wait. Deku didn't keep up?"
"Well, to be fair. This is a big place, and there's people everywhere." The Keyblade wielder commented.
"True." Uraraka agreed. "Maye he got lost in the crowd trying to catch up to us?"
"Well, regardless of how we got separated…" Sora said as he began walking back the way they came. "I'm gonna go back for him. This is supposed to be group shopping. Izuku being alone kind of defeats the purpose of that."
Ochako also agreed with that logic and followed him, replying "Yeah, and besides. There's a shop that we passed on the way here that sells those wrist weights that Deku was talking about." And with that, the pair began to backtrack to go get their green haired friend and make sure he wasn't left out.
Back on the first floor of the mall, Shigaraki and Midoriya found a place to just sit and talk. The Villain still had his hand on Izuku's throat, but aside from that, it was rather calm as Tomura began to speak. "When it comes down to it, I hate basically everything. But the Hero Killer pisses me off the most right now."
"Isn't he one of your guys?" Midoriya questioned.
"Not technically, but that's what the media made it look like." Shigaraki stated. "And that's what my problem is. It's like everyone's suddenly obsessed with that stupid Hero Killer."

The white haired Villain then listed off his actions as he continued to talk about his dilemma. "The attack on U.A. The Nomu's and Heartless I released at Hosu. He upstaged all of it. No one's even giving me a second thought. Why is that? Despite what he claims to believe, all he really did was try to get rid of things he didn't like." He then turned to Izuku. "What do you think the difference is between us, Midoriya?"
[Silence]
Back with Sora and Uraraka, the pair had backtracked to where they accidentally split from Izuku, to find that he wasn't there. "Uh oh. Looks like he might have gone off on his own." Ochako said.
"Well that's not gonna do." Sora said as he pulled out his phone and looked for Midoriya's number. "I'll call him and ask him where he is."
"Huh? Wait. You don't need to do that." Uraraka stopped him.
"Why not?" The Keyblade wielder asked.
"There's no way that Deku went far." The girl pointed out. "If we just walk around here, we'll spot him in no time."
"I don't know." Sora replied. "There's a lot of people here."
"There aren't many people with messy green hair and bright yellow backpack walking around." Ochako said.
"I guess that's a good point. He would stick out in a crowd." The Keyblade wielder saw her point. "Alright, fine. We'll play it your way." He put his phone back in his pocket and walked around the area with Uraraka, keeping an eye out for their friend.
Speaking of said friend, Izuku answered Tomura's question. "What's the difference? I don't understand you. Your goals, and your Villains. I don't agree with anything you do."
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST The Power of Endeavor]
He then began to talk about Stain. "I don't agree with the Hero Killer either, but I can understand him. At least sort of. Because the Hero Killer and I have something in common. We're inspired by All Might. That night, he even saved me from the flying Nomu. He's a maniac, but he doesn't destroy things just because it sounds fun. And when things were looking bad for him, he didn't abandon his mission like you did. Even if the way he acted was wrong, he held true to his beliefs. That's the difference."
Midoriya looked at Shigaraki, and noticed a spark in the Villain's eyes that made the boy feel almost as petrified as he was when Stain said his speech. "Ah. It's like a weight off my chest." The Villain said. "I see it now. All the dots connected. Why he makes me so angry. Why you irritate me so much. Everything memes sense." He had a devilishly excited grin on his face as he found his conviction, his goal in life. "It's him. The problem is All Might. Yeah yeah, that's it. That's the most rational explanation. Haha. I didn't see it even though it was right in front of me the whole time. What was I worrying about so much? It's simple. He's why these morons are able to smile so thoughtlessly." He pressed the four fingers already on Izuku's throat further on it as he had his epiphany. "They feel so safe because that garbage pro is thoughtlessly smiling too. As if there NO ONE IN THE WHOLE WORLD he can't possibly save. Oh I'm glad we had this chat. I feel better. I can't thank you enough, Midoriya. I don't need to change my ways after all." The pressure Tomura was putting on the boy's through made him involuntarily raise his hands towards it, because his neck was being crushed, choking him as the Villain had his moment of clarity, but Shigaraki noticed that. "Woops, don't struggle now. Unless you want to die. You want all these people here to crumble as well?" Izuku stopped himself from moving his arms up any further, while holding what little bit of breath he had in him as Tomura began to think to himself about what he just discovered. That is until…
[Silence]
"Deku?" Ochako's voice rang into his ears, and it made him open his eyes to see both her and Sora, just a few feet in front of him and Shigaraki.
The Keyblade wielder stayed absolutely still, making sure to not look directly at who Midoriya was with. Because he knew who that was. Thanks to Sir teaching him deductive skills back at the internships, Sora could pick up on some more subtle things that Uraraka did not immediately see. First off, the dry skinned hand around Izuku's throat in a very specific way. Secondly, the messy strands of white hair poking out of the hood of said person. Thirdly, the wrinkly smile that was partially obscured by the hair and the fact that he wasn't looking directly at the pair. And Lastly, the fact that Midoriya was in distress, but most likely couldn't do anything about it.
"Is that a friend?...No...that can't be right." Ochako said, becoming more concerned as she looked at the hooded person, who then glanced at her with his creepily enlightened face. "Hey..." She began, but got interrupted.
"It's fine, Ochako. I know him." Sora spoke up, faking a friendly tone as he spoke to the creepy fellow. "I haven't seen you since the beginning of school. You haven't changed a bit."
He took his hand off of Izuku's throat and raised them up, acting friendly as well. "Hey! Sora! It really has been a while hasn't it. You don't look so different yourself."
"Yeah, well. Looks can be deceiving. Right?" Sora stated.
"Very." The dry skinned boy agreed as he got up and spoke quietly to Izuku. "If you try following me, I'll get angry." He then walked away from him.
As soon as he passed Sora and Uraraka, the girl went to check on Midoriya as he was coughing from having been nearly choked out. And the Keyblade wielder put himself between them and the Villain walking away. "So what brings you here, Tomura Shigaraki?" He asked as Ochako heard that and looked at the hooded Villain.
"Shigaraki?" Uraraka repeated.
Izuku then caught his breath and then spoke, albeit aggressively. "I have a question too. What is All For One after?"
Tomura shrugged and responded "Who knows really. But here's a little word of advice, 'friend'. Be careful. The next time we meet, I'll likely have to kill you."
"Like I'd ever let that happen." Sora retorted.
"Oh don't worry. You won't be left out." Shigaraki assured him. "We've got something very special planned for you, when the time is right." He then walked into a crowd and away from the three. As soon as that happened, Sora took out his phone and called Naomasa, to inform him of what just happened.
[Play KH 358/2 Days OST Xemnus]
As soon as Sora had gotten off the phone, he went to Izuku to see if he was okay. The Keyblade wielder knew that trying to follow Tomura would be a very dangerous action in a place this public. He couldn't risk people getting killed.
In a few minutes, the mall security stall all around the area had begun locking the place down, starting with the entrances to the place and working their way inside. About fifteen minutes later, multiple police cars and Pro Heroes arrived and entered the scene, conducting a massive sweep of the area, but they couldn't find the Villain at all. The police found the three with the rest of their class all grouped together and began questioning them. Midoriya told the cops of his encounter and Sora confirmed that he was the caller who contacted Tsukauchi and the two of them were taken to the Kiyashi police station to be interviewed by him.
The detective arrived shortly after them and he interviewed both at the same time. Izuku told him everything that he could, from appearance, to what they talked about, and Sora told his side from when he saw his friend being held by the Villain and how he did his best to get some information, only for one word that slightly concerned him came up. 'We' It was concerning because he doubted it meant that Kurogiri guy.
[Silence]
As everything was given to Naomasa, he then put what he could together. "It sounds like they're not a monolithic organization. And it sounds like his desire to defeat All Might hasn't changed a bit. Anyway, thanks for the reports you two. This helps."
"Oh. Sure." Izuku responded.
"I'm sorry that we couldn't give you more to work with." Sora apologized. "Or even catch him."
"Don't worry about it." Tsukauchi told them. "You both did a great job holding it together when so many lives were on the line. Most people would have panicked and lost their cool in that situation. No one got hurt today because the two of you were able to remain calm and keep the situation from escalating."
By the time that the interview was over, it was nightfall. Naomasa personally escorted the two boys out of the police station through the side and the three then heard a familiar voice. "Young Midoriya, Young Sora, Tsukauchi." It was Toshinori as he walked towards the three.
"Yagi?" The Keyblade wielder said.
"But, how?" Izuku questioned.
"I needed to talk to him anyway." Naomasa said as the three went to him.
Toshinori put his hands on Sora Midoriya's forehead "What a relief. I'm so glad you're okay. I'm sorry I couldn't be there to protect you two and the others."
"...It's fine." Izuku told him. Then there was a brief moment of silence before he spoke again. "Um… All Might?"
"Yeah? What is it?" Yagi replied.
"Do you ever have times...where you can't save all the people you want to?" The green haired boy wondered.
Toshinori took a moment before he replied "Yes I do. And often."
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST Surpassing You]
Yagi looked up to the sky as he continued to talk. "Someone could be injured and calling for my help anywhere in the world right now, and I would never know about it. I know it's frustrating, but we're only human. There are always gonna be people beyond our reach that we can't protect...But that's all the more reason to stand tall and smile. So that the symbol of justice is always there. Even when I can't be. A flicker in people's hearts, whether they be a Hero or a Villain."
While Izuku was a bit surprised with that answer, Tsukauchi wasn't. He then spoke up. "The kid's worried about what Shigaraki said, but that was likely the Villain's resentment talking." He turned to the boys. "All Might here has never failed to save someone after arriving at an emergency." The detective then noticed someone being escorted to them by a cat headed police officer, but continued to speak to the boys. "I think we've got everything we need, so you're both good. We're all done here."
"Izuku? Sora?" A familiar female voice was heard by the boys looked to see who it was.
"Mom?" Midoriya said.
"Inko?" Sora said right after.
The worried mother rushed over to the pair and took their hands, with tears in her eyes. "Izuku! My baby. Sora...I can't do this anymore. I don't think my heart can handle another scare." She began to cry but both boys comforted her at that moment.
"I'm sorry." Izuku apologized. "Everything's fine mom. We're okay mom."
"I'm sorry too." Sora spoke next. "Please don't cry. The Heroes and police took really good care of us all night."
Naomasa then turned to the cat headed police officer and spoke to him. "Sansa. Make sure they get home safe."
Sansa saluted and replied "Sir!" before escorting the three of them to a police car, and using that to drive the Midoriyas and Sora to their home.
As the car left, Toshinori and Tsukauchi watched it go. "This time at least, it appears to have been a coincidental meeting." The detective pointed out. "But it's certain that Sora will be targeted in the future, and a pretty big possibility that Midoriya or another student will be as well. Of course we'll continue to be on high alert here. But the school should be ready to take drastic measures. The stronger the light shines, the greater the darkness." He turned to Yagi. "I think that for the good of the students, you should consider leaving U.A. All Might."
"But I've barely gotten started." Toshinori said. "I mean, it's only been three months of teaching."
"Heh. I told you before that you weren't cut out for it." Naomasa commented, causing Yagi to grunt in frustration. The detective then went back to the previous subject. "All For One again...This time we have to capture him."
Toshinori nodded to that and stated. "One more fight. I'm counting on you for that, Tsukauchi."
"Yeah." Naomasa replied.

Tomura entered the bar and saw the Figure and Kurogiri there, but nobody else. He closed the door and then spoke up. "Where're the others?"
"The three of them left a while ago." The Figure told him. "But not before Giran took his finders fee."
"May I ask why you were at the Kiyashi Ward Shopping mall earlier today?" Kurogiri questioned.
"Finding my 'conviction'." Shigaraki answered. "Call Giran and tell him to bring those two back here. They're in."
This caused the Figure to actually turn their head towards the League leader, making sure they heard that right. "They are?"
"Yes." Tomura turned around and faced the Figure. "They're goals happen to match up with mine, so it's best that we all work together to achieve them."
The Figure's face wasn't seen, but when a small dark chuckle was heard from under it, Shigaraki knew that his anonymous ally was happy under it. "Well. You heard him, Kurogiri. Let's bring them into the fold."
"Of course." The void Villain complied with the order and began to contact Giran.
"Did anything else happen while I was gone, or did you just sit and stare at nothing all day as usual?" Shigaraki questioned his black hooded ally.
"I had the two League member hopefuls fight me in one of my 'training grounds'. " The Figure informed him.
"Tell me how they fared against you." Tomura requested.
"Himiko lasted three and a half minutes and almost cut me. Key word being 'almost'." The Figure stated. "Dabi turned the area into a blue burning wasteland with his power, and lasted four minutes."
"Hmm...I have a new assignment for you." The hand faced Villain relayed to the Figure. "For any and every person that attempts to join this League to get in, they have to fight you and earn your blessing, as well as have a goal that matches enough to mine."
The Figure let out another dark laugh before saying "Deal."
I bet you all thought that the 2v1 fights were over after the practicals. Not quite. Unlike in the OG story, The Figure is there to personally test each member's skillset and see just what they're capable of. Should they last long enough in a fight, then they're in. If not, then they're gone. That means that before we get into the Summer Camp ark, we're gonna have a few more "Practical Exams" done by the Figure. That aside. Chapter 51 is out. I've seen people ask about the fanart and where they can see it, so I'll put a link to it in my author's description/homepage/whatever the heck it's called. I also noticed that people were commenting on Save the World with Love, which will be put in before I do the movie, but not immediately. The next chapter is going to be something else before we get into that. Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and until I decide to upload again. ;)
