Chapter 77
[Silence]
"Right here." Ochako answered the question. "Tsu said she had something she wanted to tell everyone."
The six teens looked to Asui, who spoke to them rather softly right now. "You guys know I'm pretty straight forward, and always speak what's on my mind. But sometimes...I don't know. I'm at a loss. Remember what I said back at the hospital, when you were talking about the rescue?"
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST Feeling of Paring]
Izuku, Ejiro, Tenya and Shoto knew what she was talking about, while Momo and Sora had an idea, based on how well they knew Tsuyu. They knew that she would have mentioned that rescuing Sora and Katsuki would technically break the rules, something that she was against. "Yeah, every word." Midoriya answered.
"My heart was hurting..." Asui's was unable to hide her sadness, avoiding eye contact and looking down. "...and the things I said must have upset you."
Uraraka put her hand on her friend's shoulder. "It's okay, Tsu."
"Despite my warning, you still went and saved Bakugo and Sora. I didn't know that until this morning. I thought I stopped you, but it turns out I was worthless." Tsuyu told them. "And on top of that, when I saw those videos last night...of Sora getting tortured, molested and beaten to near death, which was happening while I was sitting at my home, acting like nothing was wrong, like a complete failure. And suddenly I had no idea what to say." Her voice began to crack. "I didn't think I deserved to joke around and have fun with everyone like usual...but..." She finally looked back at them again, but she had tears in her eyes, on the verge of sobbing at the overwhelming guilt she had inside her. "It made me...so sad to be without you. That's why I wanted to talk to you, even if I'm still not sure how I'm supposed to be feeling. I wanted you to know so we could hang out and talk and have a good time again...ribbit." She tried not to burst into tears.
[Silence]
The Keyblade wielder approached her and asked her just one thing. "You're the one who convinced the rest of the class to not go after me?"
The other students were unsure of how this was going to go. On one hand, Sora is the most kindhearted person that they have ever met, so they know that he wouldn't hurt anyone without a really good reason. On the other hand, the boy also deeply treasured his friends and would go to hell and back to ensure their safety, rules be damned. One would think that he would expect the same loyalty on the other end.
[Play KH3 OST From Chains to Bonds]
Sora then got into Asui's personal space and hugged her, shocking the frog girl as well as the other students present. "You may think that what you did was a bad thing..." The boy began, having a comforting tone in his voice. "...but because you did that, I'm almost certain that you saved a few of our classmates' lives because of it."
"Wh...what do you..." Tsuyu didn't know what she meant.
"When the five of them came for us, two of them weren't able to get away from the villains after the others got Katsuki. I was lucky enough to reach them and get them to safety, but if there were more people there, I wouldn't have been able to help them with their escape." The other five knew what he was talking about, as he continued to comfort Asui. "Because of you stopping the rest of the class, I was able to keep Vanitas from killing any of you in front of me, something that would have killed me on the inside." He hugged her a little tighter, making sure that she could feel his appreciation and gratitude. "Thank you, for looking out for the others when I couldn't. You're a true friend, Tsu."
At this point, Tsuyu physically couldn't stop herself anymore. She let the tears flow out before crying on the Keyblade wielder's shoulder. She wasn't expecting Sora to not only forgive her so easily, but to also thank her for actions that, while following the rules, made her unable to do anything. "I'm...I'm so glad that you're not angry with me." She managed to say mid sob.
Sora gave her a warm smile, before turning to the rest of the students, seeing that most of them were close to breaking as well. He gestured for them to join him and make this a group hug. "Come on guys. Bring it in."
"Tsu!" Kirishima was the first to step up, joining in on the hug. "I'm sorry! Thanks for telling us how you feel!"
"It's okay!" Yaoyorozu joined in as well.
"I apologize!" Iida hugged her too.
"You shouldn't feel bad." Todoroki assured her, although he only placed a hand on her head, instead of fully hugging her with the group, but Sora accepted that for now.
"Asui...Tsu." The One For All user called her by her nickname, before hugging her as well.
"Listen. I won't make you sad again." Ejiro assured her while hugging her.
"Me either!" Momo said while hugging her as well.
"We promise!" Tenya told her while hugging her as well.
Tsuyu couldn't handle the overwhelming affection given to her as she let out her tears. Meanwhile, Izuku wiped away some of his, before looking to Sora, who looked back to him with a determined glare in his eye. The Keyblade wielder knew why he had to get stronger. It was to protect the things that mattered to him, and to make sure that he would always come back to them unharmed. He didn't need to say it out loud, but the Keyblade wielder made that silent promise, and would be sure to keep it, no matter what.
[Silence]
Once the group finally broke from their hug, Sora spoke up. "Go clean yourself up, Tsu. I'm going to start making dinner."
"Oh yeah." She remembered. "You were going to do that, weren't you?"
"I'll see you at dinner." The Keyblade wielder said. Asui nodded before she, Uraraka, Midoriya, Iida and Kirishima went inside with her. There were only two left outside with him. "I know Momo wanted to talk to me. I'm going to guess that you probably have stuff to say to me too, Shoto?"
The two of them were silent for a moment, before the Ice user spoke to him. "I just need to know why."
"Why what?" Sora replied.
"Why you let yourself get injured so badly by Vanitas." Todoroki clarified. "I know you had to get us out of the picture, but I don't understand why you couldn't have just ran back to All Might, or found the other Pro Heroes that were in the area for backup."
"The only reason I was able to even escape in the first place, was because he was focused on you two." The Keyblade wielder stated. "With no one else there to get in his way, he could keep me in one place and stop me from running away easily."
"Did you...know that that was how it was going to go?" Momo asked him.
"It would have either been that, or he would have gone for you two and did what he did to me and then some." Sora answered. "I couldn't bear to let you two or anyone else endure Vanitas' power."
"What about us?! What about our perspective?!" Yaoyorozu loudly pointed out. "You think that just because you can survive the horrible things he did to you, that means that you can just take it and expect us not to feel guilt, or grief, or shame!?"
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST Loneliness]
She looked at him with tears in her eyes. "We're not all like you, Sora! Not all of us can just put a smile on our face and move on with our lives after something like that! I watched you get butchered, then saw the video of you getting molested. And you expect me to just smile and act like those horrible things that happened to a friend that I tried and FAILED TO SAVE, don't affect me?! How can you expect us to act like nothing's wrong when you find yourself in the center of the danger and get hurt from it?! You were beaten up badly after jumping head first into the second wave at U.S.J., you got hurt encountering the hero Killer Stain at Hosu, you were almost killed during the forest training camp attack, and then what I said earlier happened!"
"Momo, I know..." Sora couldn't finish that sentence, because he had felt her open hand strike his cheek, as she slapped him across it.
"No! You don't know!" She yelled at him. "You never let any of your friends get hurt, so how could you know, when you don't see them get hurt!?"
"Yaoyorozu!" Shoto spoke up, not wanting this to continue.
The Keyblade wielder was silent for a while, before he looked directly at her with an expression that showed that he had been through the worst of it. "I watched the heartless destroy my home and take my parents away from me. I watched my friend Riku get possessed by a villain and try to kill me. I've watched...I've watched people who I grew to become friends with...die to protect me. I've seen a friend lose her will to go on. I watched Kairi almost get killed by the Organization because I wasn't fast enough. And even though they were Villains, I still killed people who either didn't know what they were doing, or were forced into being that way. All of that, while regularly defending myself from monsters on almost a daily basis, before I came here." The girl had her hands on her mouth, stunned at how much he had gone through. "The reason I put myself in the middle of the danger, is because I will never, EVER let anyone I care about get hurt again. I'll survive. I may get beaten to a pulp and drained, but I'll come back better and stronger. If you want to help me, or just don't want to see me get hurt, then get stronger with me, and don't let anything, no matter how bad it is, drag you down."
[Silence]
Both recommendation students were at a loss for words. They had no response to what they had just heard. Todoroki had some knowledge of Sora's past trauma, because of the scars and stories behind some of them, but he only knew about the physical trauma, not the psychological trauma.
The Keyblade wielder sighed before speaking again. "Look. I'm sorry that I put you through that, Momo. I shouldn't expect everyone to just get over it like I can. And Shoto, if you feel the same, I'm sorry that I put you through that too."
"You don't need to apologize to me, Sora." The flame user told him. "I felt horrible after seeing what had happened to you, yes. But I feel that I partially made up for it after donating some of my blood to help you recover. And now, after what you said, I know that the best way to make up for my failure is to get stronger. Strong enough to fight alongside you, and to protect you just as you've protected me."
[Play KH3 OST Marluxia's Demise -cutscene-]
Sora smiled and nodded to that, happy that Todoroki understood, accepted and was willing to move on from what had happened. He then looked back to Yaoyorozu, who looked conflicted, but then the Keyblade wielder reminded her of something "I don't need to tell you about all of the things you already accomplished alongside me again, do I?"
She knew what he was talking about. All the moments that he had previously mentioned to her that she did before the practical exams. But now she had even more accomplishments on top of those. She had defeated a data replica of Marluxia, a former member of the Villain Organization that Sora had fought in the past. She helped fight their way up a 200 story tower. She gave her fellow students gas masks when the villains attacked, and placed a tracker on the Nomu back at the forest training camp. And she provided the means to help rescue Bakugo and Sora from the villains. "No, you don't." She replied.
"Then you should know that I have faith that you have what it takes to get stronger with me, Momo." He offered a hand to her.
Yaoyorozu didn't take his hand. Instead she approached and hugged him. "Of course." Sora accepted the hug and returned it. Once that was said and done, the boy gestured for the two to follow him inside. But the girl had one more thing for him. "Hey, Sora." The boy turned around and then felt something else press against the cheek that was earlier slapped on. He felt Momo's lips press against it, before she pulled back and gave a genuine smile. "To make up for the slap." She then headed inside. "Now let's go make some dinner. I'll help you with the cooking as well."
Sora and Shoto looked at eachother, both seeming a bit surprised that she kissed him of all things, but then the pair followed her inside the dormitory.
[Silence]
Meanwhile, just outside of the perimeter of the 1-A dormitory, a blond haired boy that was not part of this class, sporting a rather devious smile on his face that screamed superiority was slowly approaching the building.
As Sora and Yaoyorozu made their way to the kitchen, Todoroki decided to stay in the lounge area with most of the other classmates, who were all talking to one another about something. The ice user personally didn't care, and was really only here to wait for the Keyblade wielder's cooking. It would just be more convenient than waiting in his room on the top floor.
Sora and Momo then reached the kitchen, where Rikido was waiting. He had agreed to help Sora with the cooking as well, and after the pair washed their hands, they began their session.
[Play KH Melody of Memory OST Dearly Beloved]
Thanks to Sato prepping the ingredients while Sora was outside with the others, the three of them could immediately get to work on making the foods. Sora worked on the Mushroom Terrines, Scallop Poêlés, and Ratatouilles, while Yaoyorozu worked on the Lobster Mousses and Caprese Salads. Rikido assisted wherever he could, but couldn't do much, considering that he was more experienced with making desserts than he was with full blown dinners, but that didn't deter Sato from helping the other two with getting their ingredients set up and preparing the ingredients that would be used for the other dishes.
Once the starters were nearly finished, Sora instructed Momo on how to make the soups, trusting in her to handle those, while he tackled making the fish based dishes, and Rikido would assist them if either required an extra set of hands. While Yaoyorozu made the Cold Tomato Soups and worked on the Consommés, Pumpkin Veloutés, Carrot Potages and Crab Bisques, Sora had properly removed the starters and told Sato which dish tray to place them on and how to place them, while working on the Sole Meunières, Eel Matelotes, Bouillabaisses, Sea Bass en Papillotes, Sea Bass Poêlés and Seafood Tartares.
Momo ended up finishing before Sora, due to the process of making and preparing different soups being easier than cooking multiple different fish based foods. After she placed them on the assigned dish tray, she and Rikido worked together to start prepping the other meat based foods. Once the Keyblade wielder finished up with the fish and placed them on the dish tray he assigned for them, he took over for Sato in helping Yaoyorozu with the meats, while letting the boy who knew how to make desserts begin prepping said desserts.
As the Keyblade wielder and Momo made the Sweetbread Poêlés, Beef Sautés, Beef Bourguignons, Stuffed Quails and Filet Mignon Poêlés, he verbally instructed Rikido on how to make the desserts, letting him make the Chocolate Mousses, Fresh Fruit Compotes, Crêpes Suzettes, Berries au Fromages, Warm Banana Soufflés, Fruit Gelées, and of course, the Tarte aux Fruits.
As the three of them finished making everything and placing the rest of the dishes onto the assigned trays, the trio washed their hands once more, before they each took a tray and began heading out to the dining area with the starters and soups.
Meanwhile, most of the students were in the dining area, chatting amongst themselves or just silently waiting for the food to arrive. The group could smell the delectables from where they were, so they knew that they would be arriving soon. Their suspicions were correct when Sora came out first, with a tray full of various starter dishes. "Who's hungry?" He asked, already knowing the answer. Momo and Rikido came out with him, holding more starter dishes and soups. After the three of them placed the trays on a countertop next to some plates, utensils and condiments that were set up by Izuku, Tenya, Ejiro and Shoto, who all felt like this was the least they could do, the classmates each took a plate and utensils, and began to grab whatever starters and soups they thought they would like the most.
Sora, Sato and Yaoyorozu took their choices of starters and soups as well, before heading back to the kitchen to get the other foods. As the three of them did that, most of the students were already diggin into their starters, while others were taking it slow. All of them were equally enjoying the food that they were given, but some weren't eating yet. Mezo and Tsuyu wished to wait until they had everything available, so they could pick what they would think would be the best combination of dishes for them. Todoroki didn't start because he was taught to wait until all the food was presented. Kirishima didn't, because he wanted to wait for the chefs to get their pick of food first, since they went through the trouble of cooking it for them. Iida wanted everyone else to get their food first, and let them grab what they wanted before he chose from what was left. Ochako was still processing the fact that she was being served food that is normally made at fancy restaurants, and because of that she hadn't taken a bite yet. And Yuga didn't take anything yet.
Once Sora Momo and Rikido returned with more trays, containing various fish, meats and deserts, the full course meals were ready to be made and the students each got their five dishes of choice. Yaoyorozu got her things and sat alongside Kyouka and Toru. Sato took his meal and sat between Mashirao and Denki, while Sora chose his dishes and sat with Midoriya and Uraraka. The class then dug in, each person having varied positive reactions to the food, however Aoyama hadn't touched his food yet and the Keyblade wielder noticed. "Hey Yuga, you plan on eating?" he questioned.
"Well...I want to, but...are you sure that this is okay?" The French boy asked, looking unsure.
"Of course it is. I made it for the whole class. Besides, you wanted to have some of this stuff, and I already planned on making you some after you didn't switch partners with Minoru back at the camp anyway. Think of this as a thanks for that and then some." The Keyblade wielder stated. "Also, since you know how this food is supposed to taste, I feel like I need your opinion on it anyway."
"Je comprends Sora." Aoyama said, before picking up his fork and knife, cutting up a piece of his Ratatouille and taking a bite. After chewing on it for a bit and getting the full flavor, he swallowed the food and his eyes almost beamed from the taste. "Délicieux! Sora, this is parfait! And this is just the entrée. If the rest are as good, then I might drown in the saveur incroyable."
Though Sora didn't completely understand what Yuga said, he could tell that the French boy enjoyed his meal, which made him let out a laugh that a few others joined in on, before they all continued to eat their meals together, enjoying what was honestly the first group activity that they chose to partake in, that would not get interrupted by a Villain attack, or any drama.
[Silence]
When everyone was finished with their meals, the dishes were piled up and Sora took it upon himself to deal with them. Tenya assisted him with this, as well as Rikido, and the three of them washed the dishes together, while Momo worked on packaging the leftover dishes. As the four of them were doing that, the other students started to do their own things. Mineta, Tokoyami, Shoji, Hanta and Koji, decided to take their baths and Ejiro was thinking of doing the same for himself. Shoto and Izuku were helping clean up the table in the dinner area. Kaminari and Ojiro were talking to each other in one of the common rooms, until they and the ones in the dining room and kitchen heard Hagakure scream and yell out "Peeping tom!"
The scream alone got Sora's attention, but when he heard that he stopped what he was doing and already had a feeling. "Minoru, I swear, if this is you..." He went to figure out what was going on, with Sato following behind him.
Denki and Mashirao got to Toru's location first. "Hang on, isn't Mineta in the bath?" The electric student recalled.
"Not Mineta!" The invisible girl stated. "It was just for a sec, but I saw this creepy smiling face outside of the window!"
"What's up, guys?" Kirishima had heard the commotion and checked to see what was going on.
Soon after, Iida, Midoriya, Shoto, Rikido and Sora also came in, asking the same thing. After a brief explanation, the group was a little concerned. Everyone in Class 1-A was already here and inside. If someone was peeping from outside right now, it wasn't any of them. "We should contact Mister Aizawa immediately." The class rep suggested, but before that could happen, a series of sharp knocks on their front door were heard. The group all exchanged glances at each other before slowly surrounding the doorway, with Sora and Tenya both at the door. "Who is it?"
There was no answer, and the Keyblade wielder had one hand on the knob, with his free hand summoning Oathkeeper into it. "Should I open it?" He asked. After receiving a few fearful nods, the boy turned the knob, opened the door and everyone present was in their attack stances, ready to repel the potential threat.
"Huhh? A guest shows up on your doorstep, and you treat him like a common Villain needing to be fought off?" A very familiar and not so pleasant voice spoke to them. "Not very heroic of you, Class 1-A. Ha ha ha ha!"
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST An Abdominal Investigation]
Sora sighed and unsummoned his blade. "Neito, you didn't say it was you at the front door after we asked."
"Hang on, was it you peeping through the window earlier, Monama?" Hagakure questioned.
"Now that's just unwarranted slander." Neito belittled her. "I was just checking to see if anyone was home."
"Then you admit to being our peeping tom?" Iida pointed out, but Monama ignored that.
"How about...you just tell us why you're here?" Izuku asked him, knowing it was a waste to argue.
"Am I not allowed to drop by without a reason?" The 1-B student replied.
"You never come to us without a reason, Neito." Sora pointed out.
"And what about you? What prompted you to come to our dorm earlier?" Monama retorted.
"To tell my friends in your class, in person, that I am still here and still myself, even after what happened to me." The Keyblade wielder told him up front. "I didn't see all of you, and didn't want to bother anyone who was still unpacking, so I just talked to the people hanging out in the front."
"Hmph." The 1-B student couldn't make a snarky comment about that, so he moved on. "Well I came to inspect, if you must know. I was wondering, perhaps, if our dorm rooms differ in any way."
"...What?" Sora was confused at that dumb logic.
"Course they're not different." Kaminari spoke up. "All the dorms got built exactly the same, man."
"Hah, have any of you even been to the other dorms?" Monama questioned. "And for those who have, did you actually look at the rooms and not just the common areas?" The 1-A students shook their heads, unfortunately giving him something to work with. "Then how can you declare such a thing with such confidence?"
"Admittedly...we cannot." Tenya conceded.
"In that case!" The 1-B student seized the opportunity. "You'll have to let me check, just to be sure! Right? Right?"
Sora head palmed before putting on a friendly face and gestured their 'guest' to enter. "Please, come in, Neito."
"At least one of you knows some proper etiquette." Monama commented.
How does 1-B deal with this kid?
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST Among Kosei]
Monama entered and after a very brief look around the common area he persisted in checking the individual rooms. At this point the students agreed, just so he could leave sooner. However he always had a derogatory comment about the rooms he saw. Like with Midoriya's room. "Utter, fanboy." He said.
"Sure, that's fair." Izuku knew that was coming.
As well as Aoyama's room. "My eyes! They're blinded!" The 1-B student exclaimed.
"Merci." Yuga replied.
The 1-B student couldn't inspect the rooms of those who were bathing, so he soon moved down the halls, looking very bored. "Just about what I expected, and therefore dull."
"Dull you say?" Tenya responded. "Why must dorm rooms be so interesting? They ought to be places equipped with practical necessities and nothing more."
"Nonsense." Neito rebutted. "One's room is the ultimate representation of personal taste and style. The room reveals your true nature, for all to see."
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but that is actually a good point." Sora begrudgingly agreed with him.
"See? Even your star student knows something so simple." Monama said.
"Don't push it, Neito." The Keyblade wielder told him.
"Then it is my nature to be sparkling, oui?" Aoyama pointed out. "You were not wrong."
"So deep down...I'm just a fanboy?" Midoriya said to himself.
The group moved on to the next available room. "Check mine out!" Denki showed his room off.
The 1-B student took it in and looked disgusted "Ugh. Such an unsightly mishmash! It's exhausting on the eyes! There's plenty to appreciate, but no cohesive theme."
After that brutal comment, next was Iida's room. "Too stuffy and serious."
Then Mashirao's. "...A room this plain...It almost loops back around to being impressive."
"Is that what everyone thinks of me? Seriously?" Ojiro was not too happy about how 'plain' he is viewed by people around him.
Next came Kirishima, who let him see his room. "I kind of doubt a dude like you would get it, but this room is totally manly!" Neito looked at it, then took out his phone and showed him a picture of a room that looked the same. "When did you snap a pic of my pad...?"
"This is Tetsutetsu's." Monama blankly told the red head.
"Are you kidding me!?" Ejiro exclaimed. "We even have the same freaking room!?"
"Take a closer look." Neito pointed out. "Notice that the curtains in his room are made of an especially heavy metal."
"The dude is working on those gains every time he opens the curtains even?" Kirishima was actually shocked by that and ironically cursed himself for not thinking the same thing.
"We in class 1-B are always putting in the extra effort behind the scenes!" Monama bragged. "Still, I can't say that I'm surprised that Class 1-A is resting on its laurels, thinking of these dorm rooms as a place to kick back and take a load off."
"Can we move on, please!?" Sora was getting really tired of his berating of the class.
"Very well. Show me your room, Sora." The 1-B student decided to move on.
As the Keyblade wielder let him inspect the room, he heard his 'inspector's' opinion. "What is this, a daycare center? I expect a toddler to come wandering out somewhere, if you don't already qualify as one."
"Hooo, you are so lucky that you are a guest, Neito." Sora said.
"And if I wasn't?" Monama pried on as he left the room. "Such hostility. So undisciplined! Before you know it, Class 1-B will be doing laps around y..."
[Silence]
"The only one who will be doing laps, is you, as a punishment." A familiar female voice was heard, before Itsuka Kendo reached her troublesome classmate, and chopped the back of his neck, taking him down. Tetsutetsu and Pony were with her.
"What's the big idea, Monama?" The steel student asked.
"I was very shocked when Monama said that he would visit class 1-A tonight." Tsunotori said, basically saying that she told these two, before they came over to get him.
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST Professor Aizawa Theme]
The students went back to the ground floor and Itsuka spoke for her classmates, while forcing Neito's head to bow. "For the hundredth time, we're really sorry about Monama."
"Don't interfere, Kendo." Neito said to her. "I was scouting for weaknesses to exploit."
"Scouting?" Sora repeated. "You said you were inspecting before."
"Hmph." The Class 1-B troublemaker changed his reasoning again. "I dropped by to hang out, and you people didn't even bring out refreshments. Class 1-A just keeps showing its true colors."
"Oh now it's 'HaNgInG oUt'." The Keyblade wielder was getting even more frustrated with this dude. "You're not helping your case."
Momo, who was responsible for letting the other 1-B students in the dorm, put a hand on his shoulder. "Okay, Sora. Let's take a step back. Besides, he did bring up something that we should do."
Sora took a deep breath before calming down and knowing what she meant. He followed her to the dining area. "Are they already packaged?"
"Yes, but not put away quite yet." Yaoyorozu confirmed.
Meanwhile, Ejiro and Tetsutetsu were talking about their similar rooms. "Dude, I love how you incorporated curtains into your routine! Should have figured!" The red head complimented.
"And your punching bag looks like it's taken a beating over the years, Kirishima!" Tetsutetsu replied. "I knew I had you pegged as a man's man for good reason!" The two of them bumped fists.
Soon after, Sora, Momo and Rikido came back with the leftover dishes that were cooked earlier, all neatly packaged in containers and still warm for now. "Sora had prepared enough meals for everyone in our class and then some."
"There's a lot to choose from. I can't pronounce most of the names for the life of me, but they're freshly made." The Keyblade wielder opened some containers having the starters and meats.
"Whoa!" Tetsutetsu's eyes went wide. "You seriously made all that, Sora?"
"It looks so yummy!" Tsunotori was about to drool from just looking at the dishes.
Itsuka had a pained look on her face though. "You really shouldn't have. Especially after Monama barged his way in here."
"Nonsense." Momo replied. "You're our very first guests here, so this is no more than what should be expected. Please, enjoy."
"Really?" Kendo was unsure, but didn't want to be rude. "Well, if you insist." She picked a Caprese Salad, while Tetsutetsu took a Lobster Mousse, and Pony chose a Scallop Poêlé. Each one took a bite of their starters and all had a similar reaction. "Mmm! That tastes great!" The class 1-B rep exclaimed.
"Damn! This is a good lobster!" Tetsutetsu said as he scarfed his food down.
"Hmm. Sho good." Pony said while she had some in her mouth, savoring the flavor.
While those three were enjoying the food, Neito was given the option to pick his starter, and he went for the Ratatouille. After tasting it, he literally couldn't find anything bad to say about it. "There was hardly a reason to go all out like this..."
"So, Sora's cooking has got you beat, huh?" Denki took advantage of this.
"Why should I care about what you think, given your taste in interior decorating." Monama shot back.
"You sure talk big, when we haven't even seen your room." Kaminari snapped back. "If it turns out to be super lame, then I'll never let you hear the end of it."
"Oh?" The 1-B troublemaker took that as a challenge. "And if it isn't?"
"Then Sora can cook for you guys the same stuff he cooked for us." The electric student offered.
The boy he spoke of was within ear range of that. "I'm right here, you know!" He sounded annoyed. "Ask me before you make me the prize, Denki!"
"Oh, come on. This guy is all talk." Kaminari stated.
[Silence]
"Here. My room." Neito showed them a picture of his room.
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST I'll Become a Hero]
Toru and a few others took a peek as well and she said what most people were thinking. "So totally stylish! Seriously cute!"
The room had pastel walls, complemented with white antique furniture, all perfectly placed in a way that it showed a sense of unity. It looked a bit French, with that alone getting some brownie points from Yuga.
"You've done a lovely job with your room, I must admit." Momo said while handing the boy a Consommé, to let him eat as Tetsutetsu had a Crab Bisque, Pony had a Carrot Potage, and Itsuka had Pumpkin Velouté.
Sora looked at Kaminari, who couldn't find any faults with the room. Then Neito spoke up. "I look forward to my class and I receiving some more of your cooking. Lord knows, we deserve it more than they do."
The Keyblade wielder glanced at Monama, before looking back to the electric student that got him involved in this. "You're paying for all of the ingredients, Denki."
"Huh?! Wha? Wait...why?" Kaminari questioned.
"One, I used up all of my money to get the ingredients for today and don't have enough to buy another set. Two, this whole thing was your idea to start with. Three, this is the SECOND TIME you have made me the prize without asking me, and I am not letting you get off scot free." Sora listed off all of his very valid reasons to make Denki pay for the food.
"Such bravado, and he can't even back up his end of the deal. How pathetic can you..." He once again got interrupted by a chop from Kendo.
"That's enough out of you." She sternly told him before finishing her soup and choosing her next dish, that being a Sea Bass Poêlé.
"Hey, hey. What's your room like, Kendo?" Hagakure wondered.
"M-Mine?" Itsuka stammered from that.
Tsunotori ended up answering for her after she finished her soup and chose to have a Sole Meunière next. "Her room is really cool! She has an old wooden table and black steel furniture! She also has a picture of a motorcycle!"
"I ain't even ashamed to admit that her room might be even manlier than mine." Tetsutetsu stated.
"That bad, huh?" The Class 1-B rep replied. "Cutesy decorations just don't make me feel at home, I guess."
"You never really came off as cutesy to me." Sora pointed out. "Besides, that's not a bad thing. It means you're different and that's usually a good thing."
"Oh. Well, I never thought of it like that." Itsuka admitted. "Thanks."
"How about your room, Tsunotori?" Momo wondered.
"My room?" She sounded a bit embarrassed, but the American foreign student pulled out her phone and showed a picture. "Looks like this." Her room was literally covered with Japanese anime posters and figures on every surface. "I really like Japanese anime. Actually, Japanese culture is just the best."
"I see you're a fan of one of my faves. 'Cutie Ninja Shinobi'." Toru noticed.
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST Wild Wild Pussycats]
"You like that too?!" Pony was excited to talk about it. "When I was little, I used to pretend to be a shinobi all the time. 'Sneaky stealthy shinobi GO!' " She struck a dynamic looking pose while quoting that.
"'Sneaking into your heart'!" Hagakure quoted on cue.
"'Cutie Ninja Shinobi is on the scene! Nin-nin-ninja!'" Tsunotori finished the quote.
As the two of them were doing that, Izuku had noticed something on the screen and his eyes were almost bulging out of his head. Tenya noticed this. "What on earth is the matter, Midoriya? Why are you staring so intently?"
"You'll hurt your eyes doing that." Shoto pointed out.
"That. There, in the picture." The One For All user pointed at something that caught his interest. "Is that really the limited edition Cowboy All Might Figure that was never released in Japan?!"
"Oh. Yes, it is." Pony confirmed. "I love All Might too!"
"Too awesome!" Izuku exclaimed. "I knew that they were selling those overseas, but I could never get my hands on one! Oh, um...could I stop by at some point to uh...take some pictures?"
"Of course you can!" Tsunotori was more than willing to let him do that.
Midoriya excitedly exclaimed "Thanks a million!"
As Neito finished his soup and noticed the group getting along a little too much, he stood up. "Come on. Time to go. Wouldn't want to overstay our welcome."
"You guys haven't even had a full meal yet." Sora pointed out.
"Why should we scavenge Class 1-A's leftovers, when you're going to make our own fresh batch of food?" He went for the door, but Denki and Mashirao stopped him.
[Silence]
"Whoa. You stomp around here like you own the place, criticize our rooms, eat our food, and now you want to go home?" Kaminari listed off all the stuff that the 1-B troublemaker did. "Nah. You had your way, but I think it's our turn now. Right, Ojiro?"
"Right." The large tailed boy agreed. "We haven't forgotten all the stuff you said."
"No no no. That wasn't criticism. I was just stating things objectively." Neito replied.
"Stating the facts, huh? That's a funny way of saying you were insulting us even worse." Denki didn't let this go.
"What's so wrong with being plain?!" Mashirao pointed out. "Everything that's plain and ordinary provides a standard to work off of!"
Monama decided to bite. "Huhh? What do you propose we do about this? You won't let me leave, so you must have something in mind, right? A competition of sorts? A way to separate wheat from chaff? To determine once and for all which class is superior?"
"A contest? Sure. Assuming you're not a chicken." Kaminari poked the bear.
"Why would the inevitable winner be chicken, pray tell?" Neito replied.
"Will the two of you behave yourselves, please!" Tenya got in the middle of this. "Surely you realize we aren't allowed to compete inside the dormitory?"
Monama then did what he does best. "You're the Class rep of 1-A, so don't tell me you've forgotten what school you're at. This is U.A., friend. That Plus Ultra mentality is all about overcoming obstacles in our path, yes?"
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST Heroic Fighting Battle Song]
"Hm?...You mean to say...that we should engender that spirit of constant improvement, even in our residence halls?" Iida was caught in the trap. "That healthy competition will help propel us to greater heights?...Yes, of course! I understand!"
Sora and Itsuka both head palmed before saying in unison. "Why is he like that?" Both of them referring to and showing disappointment in their respective classmates.
Neito then turned back to the pair that instigated this. "So what contest shall it be? I'm ready for any challenge you decide to bring."
"Do none of you remember what happened the last time you competed with each other?" Sora reminded them. "You made us lose our meat eating privileges at the training camp!"
"Rest assured, we won't make the same mistake twice." Monama assured him. "That being said, arm wrestling is out of the picture, as a grudge match from the training camp would be utterly uninspired."
"Okay." Mashirao replied. "How about Sumo?"
"Swapping one sort of wrestling for another? Bah!" Neito declined. "Besides, do I look like a muscle bound brute to you?"
"Didn't you say any challenge?" Denki repeated.
"Let's try something that won't risk us getting in trouble." Sora suggested. "Why not just compete in a board game or something?"
"Not grandiose enough." Monama declined that boring option.
[Silence]
"Hmm." Shoto then remembered something and then gasped softly.
"Huh? What is it, Todoroki?" Tenya asked.
"If it's a competition we need, then I might have just the thing." The ice user then left to get what he thought would work as a suitable competition for the group that shouldn't escalate into anything crazy. After a brief moment of waiting, Shoto returned with a metal barrel with multiple toy swords in a bag, meant for the empty slots around it. Sora recognized that specific device and was silent.
Kaminari though was not silent. "Hey! The good old Pirate Panic game, huh?"
"I wouldn't expect you to have such a thing, Todoroki." Momo was surprised.
"Someone gave it to me." Shoto replied, leaving it at that.
"Was the pirate in a barrel game always so big though?" Mashirao noticed how the barrel was about as large as a basketball, compared to the normal size, being as small as a soft ball.
"Must be a deluxe edition." Denki guessed. "And the perfect way to settle our score, yeah?"
"Yes." Neito accepted this. "The time has come to see if fate will side with Class 1-A or 1-B."
While everyone else was getting a bit pumped up, the Keyblade wielder leaned towards Todoroki and quietly asked him. "Shoto, that's the thing that Mei gave you earlier today, right?"
"Yes." Todoroki confirmed.
"...I don't know if this is a good idea." Sora replied.
"It's the only thing they've agreed on, and I want to get this over with." Shoto said.
The Keyblade wielder had a bad feeling about this, as he knew Hatsume's babies can vary from a bit extreme to too extreme, but he decided to go against his better judgment, and let events unfold.
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST We Are Fu#king Superstar]
The rules were soon set. The classmates of 1-A and present classmates of 1-B would alternate between inserting the toy swords into the barrel. Just like the game normally goes, if the Pirate pops out of the barrel, then the class who did it loses. As Class 1-B only had two boys and two girls, Class 1-A made a team of four with the same idea in mind. So it was Tetsutetsu, Neito, Itsuka and Pony, vs Denki, Mashirao, Mina and Toru, while the rest would watch the game unfold. Sora had also given the 1-B students the meats and desserts of their choosings, suspecting that they were probably going to need them after whatever is going to happen here.
After a quick round of rock paper scissors, Monama was first to go, but not before gloating his victory over who went first. "As expected. Lady luck is on Class 1-B's side today."
"Hurry up and choose, you!" Ashido told him, eager to get started.
[Silence]
"In that case, I will take a stab at drawing first blood." Neito picked up a sword, chose a slot, and inserted it into a spot. The sound of a mechanism was heard inside the barrel, and then a violent buzzing sound was heard before the unlucky boy who inserted the sword took the full force of a strong electric shock. The boy fell forward, letting out a voiceless scream before hitting the table and twitching from what just happened.
The students were stunned silent, until Tetsutetsu spoke up, pulling his classmate up. "Monama! You okay man?! Speak to me! Stay with us!"
"Don't plan on my funeral just yet..." Neito muttered before he managed to turn to Denki. "A sneaky zap attack? Well played, you...I didn't think Class 1-A could get any bolder, but here we are."
"Hang on! I didn't do anything!" Denki stammered. "You all were watching, right? Vouch for me!"
"No, he's right." Ojiro defended his classmate. "That shock came from the barrel itself."
"Ugh...Mei, what did you give us?" Sora spoke up, catching the group's attention.
"Wait, Mei? Who's Mei?" Kendo asked.
"He's talking about that Hatsume girl from the support course." Todoroki clarified. "She gave us this after we helped her earlier today. She wanted it to be played and to give her feedback or something."
"Whaat?!" Izuku remembered Mei.
"Come again!?" Tenya also remembered Hatsume.
Those who knew of that crazy support course student, knew just how extreme her inventions could get. And those who didn't meet her, at least knew of her reputation of having extreme inventions. Sora sighed. "I knew that this was a bad idea. We should stop before anything else happens."
"I am in complete agreement!" Iida was onboard. "Far better to quit while we're ahead!"
"This is Hatsume, we are talking about. It would be best." Midoriya also agreed to that.
"True enough." Kendo was on board. "No reason to purposefully put ourselves in harm's way. How about we put our competition on hold."
"Huhh?" Monama struggled and pushed himself up. "Ridiculous! One shocking development...isn't enough to make me turn tail..."
"Uh, you're not looking so hot though." Itsuka pointed out.
Neito didn't care and smoothed out his messed up hair as best as he could before turning to the 1-A team. "Unless you're ready to throw in the towel? Is a child's game too much for Class 1-A to handle? Sorry for not realizing it sooner. It didn't occur to me that underneath all that bravado, you were quaking in your boots! But go ahead. Slink up to your rooms and cry about it in bed, like the losers you are!"
"If you weren't so messed up right now, I'd slam my Keyblade on your neck so hard that Itsuka's chop would feel like a tap to you." Sora told him.
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST U.A. Corridors]
"As if! We're gonna keep playing!" Denki took the challenge head on and grabbed another toy sword. "We're still in this. Right, Ojiro?"
"Um...right." Mashirao was concerned, but wasn't going to back down now. "But you girls don't have to if you don't want to."
"What are you talking about, Ojiro?" Hagakure didn't back down. "We've gotta see this through to the end."
"And I actually kind of love torture games like this." Ashido admitted.
"You're a great couple of gals!" Kaminari was glad to hear his team's willingness to continue.
Pony clenched her fist and gave her answer. "I'll play too! I saw this game in an anime! I always wanted to play it!"
Only the Class 1-B rep was left to give her answer. "Count me in too then. Wouldn't want to leave you guys one player short."
Tetsutetsu was moved by this enthusiasm and had his hand on Monama's shoulders, jostling him about for a moment. "Look at that! We got ourselves two full teams of willing contenders, for a true blue bout!"
Neito shook himself off grabbed another toy sword and pointed it at team 1-A. "Your turn to feel the pain! Who's the next victim?"
"Me!" Denki stepped up.
"You eat voltage for breakfast!" Monama pointed out. "How is that fair?"
"Hey. Nothing I can do about the quirk I was born with." Kaminari answered, although he knew that it was somewhat unfair, but considering all the stuff he and the class had to put up with, he welcomed an easy win for himself as well as his team. He inserted the sword and another mechanism clicked, but instead of a shock, something else happened.
Part of the barrel transformed into binders that locked the electric student's arms in place, before a pair of robotic fingers came out and smacked him hard across his wrists, causing the blonde boy to scream from the sudden strong sting, before the binders let go and the barrel reverted back with the sword locked in it.
While Denki was busy dealing with that, Sato recognized what happened. "That was like...shippe, right? That smack on the wrist for monks who get distracted when meditating?"
Izuku then spoke up, deducing what the barrel was all about. "Electrocution, shippe, both common punishments in these kinds of torture games. I guess Hatsume designed this so that each sword triggers some sort of painful response. Maybe a different one for each slot?"
"That would sound like something Mei would do." Sora agreed. "She loves going way over the top, and just one punishment would be too boring for her."
"We're seriously gonna get brutalized in a different way, every turn?!" Kaminari realized, trying not to cry from the pain on his wrists.
"That's probably why she had to make the barrel so much bigger." Mashirao understood.
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST Obstacle Course]
This did not dissuade them however. "Bring it on, torture barrel! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Tetsutetsu stuck a sword in, and two robotic limbs came out with a large rubber band, quickly stretched it out, and released it towards him. The steel student was ready though, and managed to activate his quirk in time, letting the band hit his metal head with a loud plink. He smirked at his victory.
"Hey! Talk about unfair!" Denki yelped.
"I seem to remember someone explaining how there's nothing unfair about the quirks we're born with." Neito gave that valid point, making Kaminari shut up.
"My turn now...I guess." Ojiro stuck a sword in, and a rod popped out with a slim strip of something.
"Duck tape?" Izuku was confused. "How would that inflict pain?"
His question was answered when the rod quickly slapped the tape on the hair of Ojiro's tail. "Oh no! Hang on! Don't!" The tape was very quickly yanked off, along with a large chunk of fur. "AUUUUGH!"
"It must go for leg hair, usually." Midoriya guessed.
"I'm next..." Itsuka inserted a sword, and her torture was delayed. She was confused and leaned towards the barrel, but then a gas was puffed right in her face. "Augh! Eugh! Yeesh! That reeks!" She activated her Big Fist quirk to fan the gas away from her, but that ended up gassing up the room, making everyone smell the horrible stench.
"Ugh! Open a window!" Rikido pleaded.
"Ack! Sorry guys!" Kendo apologized.
Some windows were opened and with some well placed Aero spells on Sora's part, the stench was taken outside, then Toru stepped up. "My turn!" She stuck her sword in and her arm was locked in by binders, before two arms with feathers on the tips of all their fingers came out and began aggressively tickling her. "Wha? HAhahahahahahah! Oh nohohohohoh! Ah! Stahahahahahap! AHAHAHAHAHAH! AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" Her invisible body moved and reacted to the aggressive tickling with multiple spasms, as seen by her shirt and shorts moving around showing that to be the case.
For some reason Sora had a memory of Sir Nighteye, and remembered one time where Bubble Girl commented about avoiding getting into trouble with him by practicing her humor. "Why do I get the feeling that this is what she meant by that."
"Now it's my turn..." Pony went next, and when she stuck her sword in, a rod with a spoonful of a green substance came out and shoved the green stuff in her mouth. After a few seconds, her eyes started watering and she clamped her hands over her nose "Nose!...Burning!"
"That must have been Wasabi." Yaoyorozu noted.
"Oh! So that's the...famous Wasabi!" Tsunotori replied, kind of glad that she got to taste that, but also still feeling very unpleasant.
Mina stuck her sword in next and she was greeted with a robot arm holding a piece of ice, and a robot arm that pulled back her tucked in shirt, before the ice was dropped back there. "EEEK! That's cold!"
"Incredible!" Midoriya was blown away by the creativity. "This torture game doesn't just do physical pain, but it also incorporates smell, taste and other sensations, with every punishment being different compared to the last one, so we never know what's coming. I wonder what will happen to the loser of the game..."
Everyone else just realized that and were now extremely anxious. If these are the safe spots, what brutal torture awaits the loser? Denki was the first to challenge the other team. "Feel free to cry uncle now, Monama."
Although slightly hesitant, Neito did not falter. "Hah. Funny. Projecting much?" He then took another sword and stuck it in a slot. His second treatment of pain was delivered via a robot arm coming out, moving to his head and flicking him hard. "Gah!...Well at least it isn't shock therapy."
"Here we go!" Kaminari slid another sword in, and he received his next dose of hurt via a few acupuncture needles pricking him in just the right places to cause some strong stings without piercing his skin. "Augh! Why needles?!"
"Bring it on, Barrel! HAAAAAAAAA!" Tetsutetsu stuck another sword in and a frying pan came out, and quickly went towards his face. The steel student barely managed to turn his quirk on in time to clash his metal against that metal, making a dent in the pan. "Hooo that was close!"
"Oh jeez. Please don't rip off more of my hair." Mashirao stuck another sword in and received the torture of his nipple getting punched and twisted. "OWWWW!"
"Oooh! A purple nurple." Pony knew what that was.
"Here we go again." Itsuka stuck her second sword in and a spray can of sorts came out, before spraying a glittery substance into her face, before she could close her mouth in time. "Agh! It's in my mouth! Bleugh! Eugh!"
"Let's go!" Toru stuck another sword in and a cream pie came out and was splashed in her face, before most of it fell to the floor, leaving the white stuff all over her face.
"Huh. So that's what her face is shaped like." A few of the students noted, as they were a bit curious about her looks before, but now had at least a basic outline of her face.
"Can I get a towel please!?" Hagakure asked, which Momo provided via her creation quirk.
"Up next!" Tsunotori went up and stuck another sword in, for a pair of balloons to come out and quickly pop right in between her head, "Yikes!" She was startled by the loud pops in her ears.
"Here I go!" Ashido stuck her other sword in and received the torture of being grabbed by a robotic arm and flung around for about five seconds. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" She shrieked before being dropped.
As she fell, she was caught by Sora, who used his flowmotion to get to her. "You okay, Mina?"
"Yeah." She replied. "It kind of felt like our dance back when we went shopping together."
"We didn't flip around that much." The Keyblade wielder said before setting her down on one of the couches.
[Silence]
And then there was one final slot. The pirate was still in the barrel, and only one sword was left.
[Play Boku no Hero Academia OST Threat Incoming]
Neito had the last sword in his hands, but was very hesitant. "Class 1-A's gonna win this!" Denki cheered. "Unless you're scared?"
"So petty and cruel." Monama commented. "Is that any way for a future Hero to act? Our loss is set in stone. Isn't that enough? What a bully. Are you sure your career path isn't leading you to villainy instead? Look at this! A wolf in sheep's clothing! A Villain in the making!"
"Yeah yeah. You're just scared of taking your lumps." Kaminari replied.
"You've been anything but sportsmanlike, so this change in attitude isn't fooling anyone." Mashirao pointed out.
"You're seriously gonna make me do this?" Neito was legitimately nervous right now, considering that compared to what came before, this might be leagues worse of a torture, or maybe even all of the previous ones done in quick succession? It wasn't known yet. "How about an apology instead?"
"Dooo it. Dooo it. Dooo it. Dooo it." Sora began to chant, basically telling the 1-B troublemaker that they were well past the point of apologies.
The other members soon joined in on Sora's chant as well. "Dooo it. Dooo it. Dooo it. Dooo it. Dooo it. Dooo it. Dooo it. Dooo it. Dooo it. Dooo it. Dooo it. Dooo it. Dooo it. Dooo it. Dooo it. Dooo it." They weren't stopping, in spite of Monama's silent pleas. "Dooo it! Dooo it! Dooo it! Dooo it! Dooo it! Dooo it! Dooo it! Dooo it! Dooo it! Dooo it! Dooo it! Dooo it!"
Neito was sweating like a waterfall now from the increasing pressure, until he finally snapped. "NO!" He dropped the sword.
[Silence]
"Not manly at all, Monama! Fine, ya wuss! I'll do it for you!" Tetsutetsu volunteered, as he picked up the sword.
"You will!?" The troublemaker realized.
"Yeah! Because a man's word is his bond!" The steel student said, moving his fellow manly man Ejiro to near tears. "Here I go!" He said resolutely before stabbing the final sword into the barrel. Mechanisms were whirring inside the barrel, and everyone was watching, reluctantly waiting for the final event to happen.
[Play KH3 OST Bounce-O-Rama]
After a few seconds, the pirate popped out with a bunch of colorful confetti and a recording of Mei's voice saying "Congratulations!"
Everyone was dumbfounded before Izuku realized what happened and spoke up. "Hatsume designed it so that whoever made the pirate pop out is the winner! Actually, I think that's how the original game was supposed to be played, before they put it on the market."
Upon hearing that, the group fell into a rage. "Hang on! So who's the winner?"
"Why Class 1-B of course!" Monama boasted. "Tetsutetsu got the pirate to pop out!"
"No freaking way!" Kaminari argued. "We decided at the start that whoever made the pirate pop out would lose!"
"And we just had to take all that...horrible punishment...in the meantime..." Itsuka slowly realized what everyone else was thinking and dreading. If they have to do a rematch, then they'll go crazy.
"No. Yeah. We're going home." Neito conceded, allowing Class 1-A this one, as he and the other 1-B students were done for the night. They stumbled their way towards the entrance, but not before Sora gave them the rest of the leftover food he had cooked as compensation for what they just put themselves through.
After the four of them left, Kirishima spoke up. "Block parties can be hell."
"Just Monama." Ojiro pointed out. "The rest of them aren't so bad."
"Well, if it's all the same to you guys, I think it's time we call it a night." Sora suggested, with everyone else agreeing to that.
[Silence]
After a much needed bath and a change of clothes, Sora was in his room and ready to go to bed, but before he could, he heard someone knocking on his door. The Keyblade wielder opened the door and saw Tokoyami and Shoji. "Huh? Hey. What's up?"
"Sora. Can we talk to you for a minute?" Mezo asked.
"Uh...sure." The brown haired boy replied, stepping outside of his room. "What's on you guys' minds?"
"It's about what happened at the training camp." Fumikage said. "About...what I did to you."
"Oh. I guess we would need to talk about that sooner or later, huh?" Sora realized.
"Though this will not make up for what I did, I want to apologize, Sora." Tokoyami stated. "I am truly, deeply sorry for my actions. For maiming you to the point of almost killing you. As an aspiring Hero, I'm supposed to ensure the safety of my comrades, not endanger their lives."
"I wanted to apologize too." Shoji spoke up next. "I should have stayed to help you, instead of leaving to go after Bakugo. Maybe then, we could have calmed Dark Shadow down and still reached him and Todoroki in time."
Sora saw them both bow to him in an apologetic manner and awaited his response. "Fumikage, can you summon Dark Shadow for me?"
"What?" Tokayami replied.
"Please?" The Keyblade wielder requested.
After a moment of hesitation, the bird boy called out. "Dark Shadow." The quirk manifested, but acted timid when in front of the person that it had wounded not too long ago.
[Play KH3 OST Lives on in our Hearts -cutscene-]
The Keyblade wielder looked at the two birds and then lightly bopped both of them on their heads. "I'll say that makes us even."
"...What?!" Both of them were justifiably confused.
"Fumikage, you know me." Sora reminded him. "I'm not mad at you. And I know that what happened was an accident. Besides..." He pointed to the bird boy. "You didn't want to do it." He then pointed to the quirk. "You didn't mean to do it." He then pointed to Mezo. "And I told you to leave and go after Katsuki. Plus you had a super beat up Izuku on your back, which would have weighed you down anyway."
"But that doesn't excuse the fact that I almost killed you." Tokoyami said.
"Look. Don't beat yourself up over what happened." The Keyblade wielder recommended. "Hey, just think of it as a learning experience, and an example of why you're training Dark Shadow in the first place. So that you don't do that when you become a Pro, right?"
Fumikage was silent, as he took a moment to let that advice sink in. He looked Sora in the eyes before speaking to him again. "Absolutely. I will never allow anyone else who isn't deserving, feel the wrath of Dark Shadow's claws."
Sora smiled before turning to Shoji. "And for you Mezo. Apology accepted, though like I said before, I was the one who told you to leave in the first place, so that was really on me."
"Either way, I still wished to apologize." The dupli armed student said. "At the very least to clear my conscience."
"Well, is it clear now?" The Keyblade wielder wondered.
"Yes, it is." Shoji answered.
"That's good." Sora replied, before turning to Tokoyami. "How about you, 'your majesty'?"
"Ugh...You are never going to stop bringing that up, are you?" The bird boy responded, sounding not as down as before.
The Keyblade wielder smirked before saying "Nope. That will forever be in my memory, and I will make sure you never forget it either. It's too funny."
"It's embarrassing." Fumikage said.
"Still funny." Sora said before letting out a chuckle. "So, is there anything else you guys wanted to talk to me about?"
"No." Both of them said at the same time.
"Well then, if it's all the same to you guys..." The Keyblade wielder then yawned. "I think I'm going to go to bed."
"Very well. Good night Sora." Tokoyami said.
"May you have pleasant dreams." Mezo said.
"I will." Sora said before stepping back into his room. "Good night, you two." He then closed the door, turned off the light to his room, climbed onto his bed, put his covers over him, and laid there comfortably, until he soon felt himself dozing off into slumber.
Finally got back into an MHA mood. The KH mood was there, but the MHA mood was lacking, and this chapter kind of required me to be in an MHA mood to do, as it involved the last bit of the episode that I was on, and the third part of School Briefs Volume 3. But enough about that. The chapter is out now, and this one was all about going back to acting like normal students again, or in Sora's case, helping his friends and classmates move on from what had happened to him. Now that he's had his heart to hearts and has helped everyone out, the next chapter, if you MHA fans all remember, will of course cover the Ultimate Moves. Ohhhh, I've had some ideas for this and now, with the KH 4 trailer giving me even more ideas, I am excited to cover that, but until then, I hope you enjoyed this chapter and until I decide to upload again. ;)
P.S. To those who go to my other fics and ask me to update this one, please refrain from doing that. If you're going to post a review on my other fics, then talk about the fic you are reviewing and not about how you want me to write the next chapter on this one. I know this is my popular story, but I will write chapters for this one whenever I am in the mood to, and no sooner than that.
