Ianto stared gloomily out the French doors, wishing the rain would stop. It was supposed to be summer, and yet most days the temperature wasn't even reaching sixty-five and he couldn't remember the last time it had been dry enough to get out in the roof garden.

Weeds were growing everywhere, the plants he and Jack had put in three months ago were getting choked, the flower beds and tubs had been reduced to muddy wallows, and the artificial grass of the lawn was awash. You could practically swim on it.

Beside him, Nosy was gazing out equally gloomily. It gave a disconsolate hum.

"I know," Ianto said with a gusty sigh. "Summer's proving to be a bit of a washout, isn't it?"

"Mmm."

"Look on the bright side though." Ianto gazed up at the heavy black clouds overhead. "It can't rain forever; it's got to stop eventually."

"Hm?"

"Well, how much rain can clouds hold? Stands to reason that they'll run out at some point, and then the sun will come out and then everywhere will dry." Ianto looked down at the Fluff. "That won't be happening today though. Oh well, guess we'll have to entertain everybody indoors again."
