I don't own any of the characters. Wonderful Richell Mead does, but the plot is completely mine so don't even think about copying it!

Rose's POV

Beep. Beep. Beep

Ugh. I woke up groaning. If there's a list of things that I hate, the first thing among them would be waking up in the early morning. I mean come on, it's just 6.30. I turned my alarm off and got up from the bed. Yawning and rubbing my eyes slowly I went to the bathroom.

Hmm. A cold shower will help me.

But you'll never be alone

I'll be with you from dusk till dawn

I'll be with you from dusk till dawn

Baby, I'm right here.

I started singing "Dusk till dawn" while showering. Yep. I love singing. After a refreshing shower, I looked at my mirror. Here I am.

Rosemary Nicole Hathaway.

Yes, my name is Rosemary. I'm a 21-year-old university girl. I'm in my last year at the University of LA. I study literature and music. I want to be a writer one day. So many people had a huge problem with my choice. But I love them both. And more than anything I love reading.

I am slightly tan and also I have dark brown hair which falls over my shoulders and reaches my waist. So many people tell me that I'm hot and sexy. Well, that's not a lie. Anyway, let's not talk about it. I have a little group of friends and I don't have a boyfriend. Most of the time I spend alone studying, reading or singing but I do crazy stuff.

Thinking about all of these I got ready. I decided to wear a pink sweater, Black pants and my white sneakers along with my sunglasses.

I applied a little makeup and put my hair into a ponytail. I took my assignment which I finished a week ago, a copy of my book and Pride and Prejudice and put them all in my backpack.

I took my keys and looked around, checking everything before I leave. Making sure that everything is fine I left my house.

Yep, my house. I brought this when I first came to LA. That was about 3 years ago. I was only 18 then. My ex helped me too. This was a broken house so the owner sold it to me without causing a huge problem. Along with some friends I redecorate it. Cost me a fortune but worth it. It is a small house with 2-bed rooms, a kitchen a small bathroom and a very small living room. Even though this is small I love it but it's always messy. It is just a mile away from the university so I always walk. It is my exercise. I usually walk or run, if I want to go somewhere.

Soon enough I arrived at Mandy's Cafe. This is where I always have my meals if I'm not in the mood to make something for myself. Not just that, this is one of the places I work. I work in the evening for 3 hours here.

I work at a library at the weekend. Sometimes I tutor high school students. Just because I study literature doesn't mean I'm not good in any other subjects. I'm good at math, IT and Business. I also know how to speak 3 languages apart from English. French, Turkish and Russian. Told you that I'm a nerd.

"Rose good morning dear! What can I get for you?" That's Mandy. She's in her early 50's and a real sweetheart.

"Good morning Mandy! I'd like to have 3 cheese and bacon sandwiches and a hot chocolate." I told her.

"Sure just wait a minute." She told me.

"Of course," I told her.

"You know I'm opening at his time just because I know that you'll storm in here after having a long night." She told me and laughed.

"Hey come on. It's just 6.45." I told her. She gave me a Yeah-and-that's-early look.

"So how's your book going?" She asked as I sat down.

"I told you I finished it 2 weeks ago and made copies and all I have to do is to find a publisher now. And lucky to me Miss Matthews told me that she knows someone and that she'll send a copy of my book to him. I bet she has done it by now. If he agrees then all is set." I told her.

"That's great. I hope that it'll go smoothly. It has been quite a time since I last read a romance one. By the way, I want to read one of yours before I die soon." I chuckled.

"It isn't a complete romance book Mandy," I told her.

"Yeah yeah, whatever. Tell me what's a book if there's not any romance in it? " She asked her.

"Still a book," I told her and she glared at me. I laughed.

"Anyway don't forget to treat me good if you become famous one day. Who knows maybe I'll see you in a book signing one day." I laughed at her thoughts.

"Baby steps Mandy. Baby steps." I told her.

"Here enjoy." She gave me my meal and my mouth watered as soon as I saw it.

I told her to cut the amount from my payment. I soon finished my breakfast and left the cafe after thanking Mandy. When I reached the university it was 7.30.

"Hey girl" I heard my best friend Emily screaming as soon as I stepped inside. I looked around and saw that she's coming towards me.

Lissa Dragomir. The sweetest, craziest and kindest friend you could ever ask for. Sometimes she acts like we are still in high school. I met her on my first day here and we got along very well even though we are like sun and moon. She has straight blonde hair and pale skin. she's everything I'm not and I'm everything she's not.

"Hey, how you doing?" I asked her as soon as she approached me.

"Great, I met this guy yesterday and we had an amazing night." She told me and I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah what kind of a night?" I asked knowing her reply.

"Oh, you know." She told me wriggling her eyebrows. "I mean he was so great." I laughed.

"Really? So I assume you have his number now?" I asked her.

"Yep, what about you? How was your night?" She asked me.

"Nothing much. I started studying for finals." I told her.

"Of course you did. I mean come on, why don't you try to have some fun."She asked me.

"I will, I will," I told her. She sighed.

"You told me last time too. Come on, let's go clubbing tomorrow night." She whined.

"I don't know Liss..." I didn't get the chance to finish my sentence.

"Don't you dare I don't know Liss me? You and I will go clubbing tomorrow and that's final. You're lucky I'm busy with a family dinner or else you'll be coming with me tonight." She told me and I laughed.

"Fine. Fine, let's go tomorrow night. Now let's go I don't wanna be late for my lecture." We bid goodbye as she went to business and me to literature.

A few moments later. Ending of the lecture.

"Okay everyone that's it. Please handle your assignments before you leave and Miss Hathaway please wait for a minute." Miss Matthews told us and we took our bags and started leaving the hall. I went to her.

"Yes, Miss Matthews?" I asked her.

"Well, you know that I talked to that publishing company and mentioned your book right?" She asked me. I nodded.

"I got to talk to the owner and it seems like he liked it too. So he would like to meet you tomorrow to talk about it." I couldn't believe my ears.

"W..wh.. what?" I asked her.

"Yes, so all you have to do is, go meet him and make a good impression on him. Also, you have to take the original copy of your book. And don't forget to wear something that'll present you in a good way because he is on our investment board." She told me.

"Okay Miss Matthews anything else?" I asked her. She took out a business card and gave it to me.

"Here you go. Now you have the address and You'll be his 4.00 p.m. interview." She told me.

It was a nice card. Olena's Publishing Company.

"It's just one company he owns."She told me.

"Wow," I mumbled.

"Thank you. Thank you so much, Miss Matthews. I will never forget this." I told her.

"I did what I could do. Now others are on your hand."She told me.

"I won't miss this.I promise." I told her.

"Good! Now go to your next lecture. You'll be late for it." She told me.

"Yes, Goodbye and thank you again, Miss Matthews," I told her.

I went out jumping with happiness. Finally! I worked so hard for this book. I really wanna celebrate this. Maybe clubbing tomorrow won't be a bad idea.
