Fourth day morning at 8.00
Dimitri's POV
"Do I smell jealous?" I heard a snicker from Ivan.
"Shut up," He burst out laughing.
"God, man!" I glared at him.
"Why on earth should I be jealous because of one of my men?" I asked him.
"I don't know, maybe because Rose finds him, 'attractive'," He told air coating attractive.
"You know you shouldn't have told her that on that day," He told me.
"I know," I told him.
"I just can't understand what's there to find him attractive," I took a photo of Mason and stared at him. He was smiling like a Cheshire cat in that photo. He is that fun type of guy who is often found immature.
"Ask her that, but don't do anything to that boy. I love him you know," I looked at Ivan.
"Love him?" He shrugged his shoulders.
We both looked at the door as we heard a knock.
"Come in," As soon as I told that Mazur peeped inside.
"Sorry to bother you but Rose is calling," We both nodded and got up.
When we went to the study, I expected her to be seated and faced toward her lap, but instead, I found her standing next to the window looking at the huge garden of the mansion. I wonder what she can see, I mean it's the nighttime after all.
"I've been here for more than two days, but I'm not given a proper house tour, you know? I mean this place has a gazebo!" She told still staring at the outside.
We chuckled lightly.
"You'll be given a tour soon, sorry about that," Mazur told. She sighed loudly before turning around.
"Yeah, anyway, the reason I called you all is I finally finished entering your data," She told us walking towards the bookshelves.
"Next, are you going to hack his system?" I asked her as she ran her fingers along with the books.
"Nope, I'm not going to hack his system as the next step, actually I'm not planning to hack his system at all," We looked at each other.
"Why not?" Mazur asked her.
She slowly took one book from the shelf, "No need," she told us without looking at us.
"Why not?" Mazur asked her. She opened the book and brought it close to her nose inhaling its scent. Typical book worm behaviour.
"Not now, who knows what he's planning, he might change them. We'll hack it when it is needed," She told.
"But what if it'll get too late?" I asked her.
"It won't. If I or anyone from us hack it he'll know that I'm here. We will not hack his system until we finish making the complete security system and settle down here," She told flipping the pages and then looking at us scowling.
"Why do you have a library here if you're not even taking care of the books?" I sighed at her question.
"Can we please come back to the point?" I asked her. She glared at me but obliged.
"Usually entering data is the hardest part after that It'll only take like a day to make the security system," She told looking at us.
"But?" Ivan asked making her smile.
"But since you combined your mafia, your power and work are expanded and expanding, Robert breaking previous security system, so many new details and areas is nowhere and let's not forget the fact I haven't done this like this for 3 years, it's kind of harder than previous times, that's why it took me 4 days to complete this," She stopped before sitting.
"Again because of all of that, it'll take another two days to make it," She told.
"Two?" Mazur asked her and she nodded.
"Maybe two and a half," Mazur sighed rubbing his temple, even I frowned hearing this.
"Not anytime sooner?" I asked her. She thought for a minute. She shook her head.
Suddenly we heard a knock, as I went and opened the door I met with Mason's smiling face.
"Hey, boss!" I frowned at him.
"Shouldn't you be resting?" I asked him. He grinned widely.
"Yeah but I can handle some work too," He told while coming inside. To my deep upset, his grin widened as he saw Rose and she gave him a small smile too.
"O ty vyglyadish' ustaloy Rose," He told and she extended her hand to him. ( Oh you look tired Rose!)
"Ochen," She told as he kissed her hand. (Very)
The Fuck?
He. Kissed. Her. Hand.
I clenched and again unclenched my hand not wanting anyone to notice.
He shouldn't do that! Not now, not ever!
"Anything I can help?" He asked winking at her and she chuckled at him.
Son of a bitch!
"Yep, but for real are you alright?" She asked.
Fuck this concern!
"I am, so tell me how can I help you?" He told and came beside her. After 20 minutes she finished explaining her plan for the security system to him.
"What do you think?" She asked him. He looked at him and the laptop again.
"ya kogda-nibud' upominal, choto ty potryasayushchiy?" Chloe laughed as he asked. (Have I mentioned that you're amazing?)
Fucking asshole!
"Paru raz"(a couple of times) She told.
"So are you both going to start now?" Mazur asked. Mason nodded.
"Nope," We all looked at Rose.
"I'm more than tired to start now, give me 3 hours I'll be back," She told.
"Of course, take a nap, kiz," Russo told.
"We'll meet again after 4 fours," She told.
"See you later," Mazur told before going to her and giving her a light kiss on the head. She froze but soon recovered. Whatever happened between them, the only thing I can tell now is that it affected her so much and he's more than guilty. He gave me a slight nod before leaving the room.
Mason smiled at her and left the room next, giving me a nod.
"If you need anything just give it a ring," Pavel told referring to the bell before leaving the room and giving me a small nod.
She looked at us and gave a small smile before turning to the table and gathering her things.
I looked at Ivan. He gave me a warning look, silently telling me not to fuck things up, I motioned him to leave. He then smirked.
"See you Later Rose," She waved to him without turning around.
ROSE'S POV
I started humming a song as I packed up my things. A night without sleep was horrible. I have to make sure I'll put in some extra alarms or I won't be up. I turned around to see Dimitri staring at me like a hawk.
I almost had a heart attack.
"God Dimitri!" I told placing a hand on my chest trying to calm down.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked him after a few seconds. He still didn't tell anything. I waited for like five seconds under his sharp gaze but he didn't tell anything.
Okay, I don't have time for this, I'm tired as hell!
"Very well then," I told walking towards the door.
"You shouldn't find him attractive," I stopped and turned around.
"What?" I asked him.
"Mason, you shouldn't find him attractive," I frowned at him.
He walked closer until he was standing in front of me. I took a step back only to find myself leaning toward the door. His stare was making me nervous but I can feel goosebumps appears slightly. I'm glad I'm wearing a long-sleeved blouse.
"Why not?" I asked looking at his eyes directly. He leaned closer to my ears. I pressed my back more to the door.
"You will know why Miss Hathaway. I'll make sure of it," he whispered in a deep voice making my breath hitch.
He then looked at my eyes once more and chuckled slightly.
"Soon," He told and kissed my cheek, and left the room smirking.
I bit my lip and took a deep breath to calm myself.
He kissed me on the cheek!
I guess I shouldn't forget the fact that Dimitri's attracted to me.
That for him I'm not just a working buddy.
