Rose's POV
"Thank you," I told Ivan as he handed me my frozen choco milkshake.
"Anything for you," I smiled.
"Where's mine?" Mason asked. Ivan looked at him and shrugged.
"Go get your own," I laughed as Mason pouted.
"But Ivan, I thought I'm your favourite," He told still pouting.
"Not my favourite, besides I don't want you falling in sick again," Ivan told.
"Anyway, Ivan, can you please call my father and Dimitri here?" I asked him. He nodded and left the room.
"Why?" Mason asked.
"Ya tol'ko choto zakonchil delat' sistemu bezopasnoti v etom osobnyake," I told him. (I just finished making the security system of this mansion.)
He gaped at me.
"What?" He asked.
"Hmm, we have to hurry up Mason, u nas marlo vremeni," I told him, with a serious tone. (we don't have much time.)
"Just give me another 15 minutes, I'll finish this one," Just when he told that Dimitri and my father came inside.
"What's it?" My father asked.
"I finished the security system of this mansion," I told them removing my glasses.
"Within another ten minutes I'm gonna finish the one in the next mansion, and then we'll combine them," Mason told.
"Why are you late?" Dimitri asked him. I can see that he's getting slightly angry.
"He helped me with mine at first," I lied. He raised an eyebrow but nodded.
"What do you need?" my father asked me.
"I'm going to start the warehouse security system here, Is there anything you want me to do about that?" Dimitri nodded.
"There's our Russian code you have to add, to the system just in case," I nodded.
"Here this is the code," Ivan showed me. I nodded, writing it down.
"I'm going to start now," I told them.
After like another 5 minutes Mason called me.
"I finished my part," I nodded and we both combined both security systems.
"Here it is," We put it on the screen.
"As you can see now, they are connected," My father nodded.
"But this isn't the main system, the main system is the one that is connected all, like all of them. You know what I mean, like every mansion, warehouse, shipment place. We have to finish all of them to make the main one," Mason explained.
"Is it possible to finish within two days?" Dimitri asked. I sighed.
"We'll try our best. Even I don't think it'll be possible. Entering data took a lot of time than I thought it would take. But we'll be quick. It'll be a help if you ask some of your trustful men to help us," I told them emphasizing the word trustful.
I'll ask Peter," Dimitri told.
"I don't like the dude. He's grumpy and ughh," Mason mumbled.
"I didn't ask you," Dimitri snapped. I looked at him with a sigh.
I can't understand what this man wants from me. Getting under my pants? Or make me his girlfriend, claim me as his? It is confusing. I'm not a fucking play toy, he can use, it whenever he wants. I will not let that happen. Not after... ugh! whatever!
"Can we please concentrate? I have a life apart from this you know? I have to watch over it too," I told interrupting them. They all looked at me.
"There's always a position for you here kiz," My father told me. I glared at him.
"Whatever," I rolled my eyes and looked at the screen before starting again.
"Anyway, why don't you first finish making all the security systems and then connect them? Wouldn't that be easier?" Uncle Pavel asked.
I stopped and thought about that. I've never done it before.
"Do you think so? I've never done it before, I always did it like this," I told them.
"It'll be easier, so finish them first and then connect them," my father told. I nodded and so did Mason.
...
Next day night
Yesterday, later on, Peter joined us too. It was really helpful. Both the mafias are quite huge. They both are expanded in every continent except for, of course, Antarctica but they have safe hiding places there. Anyway, we managed to finish creating all the security systems within two days. Dimitri and my father helped us create the two security systems in each of their motherlands. I meant, Turkey and Russia. They both have experience in this field but not too much.
So right now, I think it's almost 1 a.m, we are all ready to connect the systems.
"Spasibo, Peter, my by ne smogli zakonchit' eto bez tebya," I told Peter, who was ready to leave. He smiled a little. The dude is nice, not bad but hard head. (Thank you, Peter, we wouldn't have been able to finish it without you,)
"Vesgada," He told us and nodded to all of us before leaving. (Always)
I looked at Mason, he has rested his head on the table. Agh! I forgot that he just got better.
"Mason," He looked up at me after hearing my voice.
"Go sleep, I'll handle this. You just got better, go," I told him. He smiled.
"Are you sure you can stay here alone?" He asked me. I nodded.
He got up and left the room after telling me good night.
I sighed turning around and looking at the table. It was a complete mess. And I'm quite hungry too. So I thought it was better if I go to the kitchen and grab a small snack before I start the connecting.
It was quite chilly outside the room and wearing sleeping shorts made it worse.
As I went down, the first thing I heard even before, I got to the kitchen was loud moaning.
"OH yes, yes right there, right there," I heard a loud screeching voice from a girl.
As I came down, what I saw made me cringe with disgust.
Fucking Dimitri Belikov, was fucking a chick in the bloody kitchen! I mean what the hell? I eat there. I turned around immediately and left hoping they didn't see me.
But from what I saw, something is for sure! He does not feel anything for me except lust!
I've seen this scene so many times in my life here. Not him of course but others. I was only 12 when I first saw this! IT was one of my father's men with his girlfriend and their expression was hilarious after getting caught. But after that incident, I didn't catch anyone for 3 years but when I did again, I understood what was happening. But I really didn't expect to catch anyone this soon after coming here.
After coming back to the room, I decided to arrange the table for a minute in a decent way. After almost 10 minutes I decided it was time to call others.
I rang the bell and waited. After almost 10 minutes I heard a small knocking.
"Come in," I told. I saw Uncle Pavel's head peeping inside after he opened the door.
"Is he asleep?" I asked him smiling softly. He shook his head.
"No, just resting for a bit," I nodded.
"I'm going to connect these. Ask him and Dimitri to come please, no need to wake others," I told him. He nodded and left the room.
Soon, they all come inside except for Leonid. I guess he's sleeping.
"I'm going to connect them all now," I told them and they nodded.
"Where's Mason?" Dimitri asked me. I looked at him.
"Sleeping, I can do this by myself. I just have to click a few buttons and then wait," I told.
"But he should be here," He told. I sighed and leaned back.
"He just got better. One night without sleep will make him weak, and I don't want that there's more work in the future," I told him.
"Anyway here on screen you can see your security system," I told turning to my father and pointing to the projecting screen, which now has the system on it.
"And now I'm going to connect all of them together," I told him before connecting all his systems together.
"And now we have to wait a couple of minutes, so in that one Dimitri it's your system, so I'm going to connect them after they are connected separately, I'm going to connect both yours and yours together," I told turning towards them. They both nodded.
I clicked the button to connect Dimitri's one and then placed my tablet on the table.
"How long will this take?" My father asked.
"You mean connecting both security systems?" I asked him He shook his head.
"No this, connecting ours separately, making the main systems?" He asked.
"Probably 15 to 30 minutes," They nodded.
I sat down on the couch and rested my head on the headrest on the couch, closing my eyes and crossing my arms in front of my chest.
"You need anything?" I heard Dimitri's voice.
"If you can sanitize the entire kitchen, it would be a great help," I told him. I heard my father's light chuckle and so does Dimitri's.
"Will do," He replied. I could feel his smirk.
"By the way, from the day after tomorrow, I'm going back to uni," I told turning my eyes and opening my eyes to look at my father. He has a frown on his forehead. He took a seat in front of me and sat down so does Dimitri while uncle Pavel turn towards the door.
"Where are you going?" I asked him. He smiled and mouthed water. I smiled before turning back to my father.
"Hmm, what's more?" I smiled knowing nothing slips him.
"I told my friends that you're my uncle. I can't tell them that my father is back, it'll give endless questions and we have to lie more and more lies means more risks," I told and he nodded. I placed my legs on the couch to lay on it completely.
"And I haven't told about you at all," I told Dimitri.
"Why not?" He asked me.
"Not now," I told him.
"Anyway, since I'll be living here, I want you to meet my friends, don't worry there isn't much. Mainly you'll meet Lissa, Jill, Mia," I told him and he nodded.
"And Dimitri, how's my book going?" I asked him.
"I thought about starting on it after settling the problems here," He told and I nodded knowing he will do that.
We fell into a small silence, I sighed and closed my eyes hugging the cushion.
Suddenly I remembered something. I turned to my father. "Where is Eddie?" I asked him. He smiled.
"Italy, he's attending university there. He'll be here on week after next," I nodded smiling at the memory of my little brother.
"That's my cousin brother by the way. The closest if I may add," I told Dimitri.
"Is he elder than you?" I shook my head.
"10 months younger," I told him.
I heard a small beep and a door opening. I sighed and went towards my laptop.
"It's done, now I'm combining both of yours," I told them before clicking.
"Now what?" Dimitri asked.
"Now we wait, it'll take more than 15 minutes, and when it's done there'll be a message," I replied before laying on the couch once again.
"Don't touch anything, and wake me if anything bad happens. There's an alarm attached," I told them and closed my eyes.
Soon I felt myself drifting to sleep slowly. Also, I heard someone getting up and also the opening of the door.
Ibrahim's POV
I went out of the room and went to mine. I took two pillows and a blanket. When I came again, I saw Dimitri resting on the chair hands behind his head, and his eyes closed. One look at Rose was enough for me to tell that she was deep asleep. Just when I closed the door behind me ever so silently, Dimitri's eyes snapped open, his hand already on his gun which was placed on his waistband. When he saw me, he visibly relaxed and opened his mouth to ask something but closed it immediately when I placed a finger on my lips to silence him.
I went to Rose and looked at her face clearly. This is the first time in 3 years I'm this close to her. I slowly lifted her head and took the cushion away and place one pillow under her head before slowly placing her head on it. She stirred a little bit but stilled and turned her face burring it in the pillow. Next, I took the other pillow and lifted her arm placing it under her arm so she can cuddle with it. After that, I got up and slowly covered her with the blanket.
Once I'm done I sat down in front of her and stared at her angelic face. I've never done this before to her. Guilt was running through me like a hurricane.
"What did you do to make you feel so damn guilty?" I looked at Dimitri, who was now standing next to me.
"Did you ever consider me as your daughter? Did I ever hold a place in your heart?"
I could hear her words again and again reminding me of what I did.
"I abandoned her," I replied.
" She loved me so much. There's anything I would do in this world to travel back in time and be a good father to her if that's possible," I told.
"But I can't. And it's too late, she's not my little kiz anymore, I broke her," I whispered.
"Even if she denies it, she loves you," He told. "I've seen it, in her eyes every time she sees you, talk to you, her eyes hold pain, the pain of love," He told.
I truly hope so.
