ROSE'S POV
Next day
"It has been some days, I think we should check the data we found before Robert does something," Eddie told.
"He has a point, with everything happening lately, I almost forgot it," I told them.
"Then tonight?" Dimitri asked.
"What about your classes?" Baba asked me.
"I'll be fine. Let's open it today, but I'm sure we better be brave to face whatever's in that. Robert is a sick bastard, I'm sure it won't be nice," I told them.
"Where can I get your recordings?" Baba asked me.
"What recordings?" Both Dimitri and Xander asked.
"My therapy sessions," I told them.
"Can I join too?" Eddie asked.
"Sure you can, but trust me it's going to be hard," I told them.
"Can I too?" Mason asked me.
"Why?" Dimitri asked before I could.
"Nothing, just curious," He told.
"I don't want you to pity me, 'cause trust after watching it, you'll want to pity me," I told them.
...
Night
"Okay let's see what's inside," I mumbled opening my laptop.
"His records are huge," Mason told looking at the size.
"Well, can't say I'm surprised," I mumbled.
"Okay, there it is, should we connect it to the screen or not?" I asked them.
"Let's connect it," Baba told.
"Should we? I mean we don't know what's in that," Yakov told.
"I believe it's better we check it first and then show it on the screen too, than showing it directly," Dimitri told.
"It's better if they make themselves ready, so I think we should put it on the screen," Papa told.
"Listen, Ibrahim, the question is are you ready to see what's inside, 'cause I'm not," Dimitri told.
"I'm sorry daddy but I agree with Dimitri, even we don't know what's inside," I told him.
"Fine," He told.
We both spent a few seconds along with our IT team to separate his crimes.
"Okay first let's go for human trafficking," I told.
"Sick bastard, there are even small children who aren't even 10 years old," I mumbled looking at the details.
"What are those bold black ones, and red ones," Eddie asked. I read the details.
"Black ones, are the children who were sold at the highest prices. The red ones are the ones who died in the process, and the blue ones are the children, who were sold at higher prices and are still alive with their locations," Mason told and I cringed.
"Kiz," Baba muttered.
"I'm fine. So most of the ones are alive with their locations. Kevin, copy them," I told him.
"On it," He told.
"What's next?" Dimitri asked.
"His targets on children," I told him.
"So are they still not on hostage?" Baba asked me.
"No, these are the dates, they are planning to take them. Most of the children are victims of drug addict parents or abuses, or horrible orphanages," I told them.
"We should inform the police and give them the protection they need," Dimitri told.
"Yes, send us all the details, we will send them to the police and our allies," Dimitri told and baba nodded.
"Done. Next, we have the missed children. The ones they failed to sell," I told them.
"There are only two, and they both are dead," Mason told.
"Okay then next we have two categories, boys who are from 10 to 18, and girls who are from 10 to 18," I told them.
"Let's go for boys," Dimitri told.
"Looking at their ages, most of them are under 16, and there are few over 16 children, they are also categorized in the same way before.
"But from them, there are 5 survivors who are alive and fine, because either they are joined in some kind of force, mafia or because they vanished to thin air," I told them.
"Girls," Papa told.
"My god!" I muttered looking at the list.
"There are hundreds of them," Ivan muttered.
"Get the details, we must save them too," Baba told.
"Survivors," Dimitri told.
When I looked at the list, I felt my entire body freezing, and even Yakov gasped. There was only one name.
"Rosemarie Mazur,"
"You're safe," Baba told. "Go to the next page,"
Like that, we finished reviewing the entire trafficking data which took 5 hours.
"Try to find the survivors and the ones who are alive. Give the data to the police and our allies once you finish reviewing them," Baba instructed our IT team.
"Yes don," Kevin told.
"Divide it into two groups, take my ones too," Dimitri told and Kevin gave a curt nod.
"Should we stop here or should we go further?" I asked them.
"Just a little bit," Dimitri told.
The next part was the mafia members he has killed.
"There are so many," I told them.
"Go to the Turkish mafia first and get the details, then do the same to the Russian mafia. In that way we can get help from the ones we know first," Dimitri told.
"I'll go for Turkish, Mason, Russians?" I asked and he nodded.
"Okay, so from us he has killed like 50," I told looking at the names.
"I know. I have the details of them," Papa told.
"But there are some he killed without our known, like these 10 people," I told him pointing to the scream.
"Those are the ones who left our mafia. Or the ones who betrayed and went to him begging him to save them," Baba told.
"They thought he won't kill them," I muttered.
"Boss, from us he has killed like 5 since you started and 3 from the days your mom ruled and like 25 from the days your father ruled," Mason told.
"Who are the 3 from mama's time? I didn't know about them," Dimitri told.
"Fuck!" Mason muttered looking at the screen.
"What is it?" I asked him not taking my eyes off my laptop.
After like two seconds I realised there was a very cold and silent atmosphere in the room. I looked up and looked at Mason. He has his head hung low.
Baba was gritting his teeth. Ivan looked like he wanted to dig his own grave due to anger, Uncle Pavel looked pale, Eddie has a hand over his mouth, and Dimitri, My god Dimitri looked like the devil!
They all were looking at the screen, I averted my gaze to the screen, and the next moment I felt my blood freezing.
"Olena Belikova, widow of Randall Belikov and mother of Dimitri Alexander Belikov, Victoria Belikova, Karolina Belikova and Sonya Belikova. Tortured and killed on 01. 10. 2015, by Robert Doru."
...
"Just when I thought we solved one problem," Eddie told letting out a sigh.
"It never fucking ends," I mumbled.
"It's why Robert wants Dimitri gone. I'm pretty much sure that Olena didn't let it go easily," Baba mumbled.
"What do you mean?" I asked him.
"Dimitri had nothing over Robert but Robert attacked him. We all thought he did it because he's a sick bastard but apparently, he did have a reason. Olena must have been a real pain in the ass to him. Back then by killing Olena, he must've thought he could take over the Bravata but since Dimitri was there to take over the line," Papa told.
"But since what's with this power craving? He's a psychopath, I'm telling you we must end him before it's too late," I told them.
Baba, Eddie and I are in Baba's study. I didn't want to go further anymore after finding of Dimitri's mother's death. I don't think I'll ever forget the look on his face. He looked like a devil! I felt like that face of him is the one parents warned children to stay away from. Like a nightmare. His face was filled with anger and madness.
And it pained me. It pained me to see him like that. He was the one who always stayed like a rock and seeing it breaking and being something dangerous, made my heart clench with pain. I wanted to be it him but he requested alone time from everyone. I saw him going to the gym, and that was like 1 hour ago.
"It must be so hard. I mean we both have been there but not quite like this," Eddie told.
There was a knock on the door. Baba opened it and I gasped at what I saw.
"Ivan, what the fuck happened?" I asked him.
He was standing there with a broken nose and a blue eye.
"I wanted to stop him but I guess I shouldn't," He told and I gasped.
"He hit you?" Eddie asked him.
"He was going to shoot me if I stayed there even for another second," He told making me breathe hard.
"Where is he?" I asked him clenching my teeth.
"Gym, downstairs. I don't know why but I'm sure that he's going to torture those prisoners after he's done in the gym," Ivan told making me cringe.
"It's not going to be good," Baba mumbled.
"Gym 1 or 2?" I asked him.
"2, the one near the cells, why?" Ivan asked. I nodded getting up.
"Rosemarie, where are you going?" Baba asked me.
"He's not going to be like this," I told walking out of the door but I was stopped.
"No, don't even think about it. It's so fucking dangerous," Ivan told.
"Ivan...," I tried but baba spoke before me.
"Kiz, he's not fine and I think it's better if you give him his time. Besides Ivan's right, he's dangerous right now," He told me. I gritted my teeth.
"He's not a wild animal," I told them.
"It's not what we mean," Eddie told.
"He's not in his right mind. He's beaming with anger. You always want your alone time, whenever you're angry. Just like that, he needs it too. We all do," Baba told.
"Do you think anger is the only thing he's feeling?" I asked him taking my hand away from Ivan.
"He was only a child when he found his father is an abusive, sick liar. He was 21 when his mother died. It's true, he wasn't a child then but imagine the guilt he felt. His mother came back in a body bag while he was training. I think you've been there too daddy. I think you've felt that too, 22 years ago. Is anger the only thing you felt?" I asked him.
His eyes widened. He opened his mouth.
"No right? It's not the only thing you felt. You felt guilty, you felt sad, you felt horrible, but also you wanted to love me. Didn't you? Cause if you hated me you would've killed me. But your anger was all you let in. You let it get your best and no one stopped you. For 18 years no one stopped you, baba," I told him and he stared at me.
"Do you now realise where you were wrong back then? Where all of us were wrong back then? Do you now understand why I don't hate you?" I asked him.
He lowered his head once and looked at me again.
"I don't want that to happen to him. He made me feel comfortable when I was vulnerable. I won't let what happened to you happen to him, baba. Dimitri I know will never hurt," I told him and walked away.
THUD
THUD
THUD
There was this sound I heard when I came to the gym. All the gyms are super luxurious. Usually, at least 10 people are working out here. But this time Dimitri was the only one who was inside.
I hate this gym. This is beside the cells and sometimes you could hear prisoners' screams. There's a glass window so anyone could watch what's happening from up, and I'm sure baba and everyone are watching us.
Dimitri was there punching a punching bag with bare hands. His upper body is completely bare and I could hear his grunts as he hit it with all his strength.
If it was any other moment, I would be gawking at his perfect body but right now I wanted to cry.
Third Person POV
"Is she crazy?" Mason asked as he looked at Rose going inside the gym where his boss is torturing a poor punching bag.
"Why didn't you stop her?" Pavel asked his friend who was looking at the scene with an unreadable look.
"No one can stop her," Ibrahim replied, thousands of thoughts running through his mind.
Rose isn't someone who'd do anything like this without a reason. But he couldn't come up with a reason except for one.
And that reason scared him.
"What if he hurt her? Even accidentally?" Eddie asked worried about his sister. His sister might always seem right but not everyone's perfect. Nobody answered him.
Everyone could feel Dimitri's rage. Even Rose felt it.
"Dimitri?" She called him in a soft voice. Neither he stopped nor turned around.
"Get the fuck away," Her heart clenched at his voice. 10 times deeper than usual, filled with rage. It was growling at her more than telling her.
Everyone who was watching heard it. Eddie and Ivan along with some soldiers immediately went near the door opening it. Their fear was getting larger with every word Dimitri uttered.
"Dimitri, look at me," She told again.
"I SAID LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE," His voice roared around the entire hall as he turned to meet her eyes.
Tears spilt from her eyes as she saw his face. His eyes were blood red! He looked like a bloody demon from hell. But it didn't scare her. She was more scared of losing her Dimitri to this monster.
"No," She told sternly looking at him. He groaned before marching to her and holding her hand in a death grip making Eddie and the others come a little bit closer to them.
"Ostav' Roza. YA ne khochu, chtoby ty byl ryadom so mnoy. YA khochu, chtoby ty ubralsya ot moyey zhizni i nikogda ne vozvrashchalsya! Ostav' menya! Otoydi ot menya," He told dangerously making her cry silently looking at him. (Leave Roza. I don't want you near me. I want you to get the fuck away from my life and never come back! Leave me! Get away from me.)
Every single word was breaking her heart but there was something else she saw.
"Then why are holding me so tight?" She whispered. Making Dimitri look down where his hand was holding her tight.
"Let me go. Take your hand off me and let me go," She told him. But his hand gripped her tight.
Ibrahim watched all this silently not uttering a word. He could feel his assumption coming true but still, he waited. He waited for it not to be true.
"You'll be hurt if you stay with me," Dimitri mumbled, his hand slowly slipping away from hers but it seems like he didn't want to.
Rose suddenly held on to his arm with her other hand. Holding him tightly.
"I choose to be with you," She whispered.
Eddie stepped back in disbelief. Ibrahim let out a breath he didn't know he held.
"Don't," Dimitri whispered his hand tightening again around hers. Millions of thoughts ran through his mind.
Rose closed their distance taking one step near him. His hands went around her waist immediately, holding her tightly closer to him.
She stood on her toes touching her forehead with his. Her hands cupped his face.
Eddie's face fell. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. He should be angry. Or maybe sad but right now all he felt was confusion.
"I never had a mom. I never had parental love. So I can't imagine it, Dimitri. But I can feel it. I will not let you feel it by yourself," She told him.
All were watching them with disbelief. They are together! None of them knew what to think. Whether to be happy, sad or angry!
Rose took a deep breath.
"You're mine, I'm yours. I won't be able to erase the pain but I'll make it disappear. Even for a little time, and again and again," She told him, the same words he uttered to her.
"I don't want to lose you," He whispered.
"You won't," She told closing the remaining gap between them by kissing him.
She kissed him slowly and he kissed him back. Appreciating, and needing her warmth. None of them wanted to hide it anymore.
After their small, yet beautiful kiss they both pulled out and he hugged her.
For Dimitri, he wanted to be in her embrace forever. He wanted to feel his pain with her. He needed her.
For Rose, she didn't want to let him go. Maybe for the entire world, he seemed like a beast but to her, she felt like she was holding a baby.
But Ibrahim realised that she has grown up. She might still call him baba, the way she did when she was young but now seeing her in someone else's arms, he realised he lost 18 precious years in her life and now she's with someone else.
"We should leave them alone," He told.
