AN: Alright, so this has been baking in my head for a while. This will most likely become my longest fanfiction, considering that I plan on following the Adventure Time timeline, but there will be major changes at the start. Romance will take a back seat for a while and will be more focused on action. Constructive criticism is welcome, but if you came here to flame, then forget it.

"Talking"

'Thinking'

Summary: Finn had lived out his entire life and was ready to pass on. He had seen it all and been there and done that. While he had many great memories, he also had many regrets, each one bigger than the last. If only he can go back in time and fix things, but time is immovable…

At least that's what he thought at first.

The True King of Ooo

"Alarm, you have been chosen to have your wish granted by the "Absolute"! Congrats :) *clap clap clap*

"…"

"Your mind and consciousness have gone back in time to January 1, 3010!"

Throughout the many things that he encountered in his life, it still surprised Finn that he could find something new. And a blue screen in front of his face when he woke up was not the first thing Finn was expecting.

'What? 3010? That's the year when…' The figure sat up straight from his bed in shock as the revelation hit him like a truck. "WAIT, WHAT!?"

As soon as he did that, he got a good look at the room he was in. There was no way he could mistake it: he was back in the treehouse. The place that he called home for most of his entire childhood, the place that was destroyed during the Gum War, was now completely intact, not a single thing out of place from his time here. He was almost overcome with the urge to cry from the whole thing.

However, he didn't account that his scream would awaken the other occupant in the room. Jumping out of the make-shift bed from a cabinet shelf, a yellow mass screamed at the sudden sound. As soon as it reached the peak of its jump, gravity decided to take hold, causing the mass to fall on the ground face-first. If Finn wasn't overcome with emotions, he would have chuckled at the sight. However, the only emotion that Finn was feeling at the moment was shock and hope.

"Uuuugh, my head." A gruff voice came from the figure now at the side of Finn's bed. "Finn, are you having a nightmare? You scared me half to death with that scream."

"J-jake…?" Finn meekly said, his voice cracking.

Realizing the change of tone, Jake became concerned.

"Yeah Finn, it's me. I'm here for you." The figure now known as Jake said, placing his hand on Finn's shoulder in reassurance. However, for some reason the magic dog couldn't understand, this only made Finn start to tear up. Before he could take his hand off, he felt arms wrap around him, pulling him closer to his brother in all but blood. With a head on his shoulder, a wet spot formed as the dog realized that Finn was crying, bawling his eyes out as tears, snot and spittle was now coating the fur on his shoulder. On any other occasion, Jake probably would have been grossed out by it, but he knew that whatever his brother went through, he definitely needs this.

"So… you ready to talk about your dream?" Jake said. After Finn's breakdown, the duo went to get cleaned up. Afterwards, they both went downstairs to eat breakfast, with Jake cooking the duo's food while Finn sat down. It wasn't until Jake had brought their food on the table that he popped up the question.

"O-oh… Um… I just had a bad dream. The last thing that I remember was seeing you go into a grave, accepting your death. No matter how much I tried to dig out, it was meaningless. I know it was a dream, but it felt too real to be one… like it actually happened." Finn said, his throat a bit hoarse from his earlier bawling.

"Oh…" Jake said tentatively. "Did…" he paused, nervous about what he was going to say before pushing forward. "Did the Cosmic Owl appear in your dream in any way?

"N-no… it was just a really vivid dream, you know.

"Ah…" the magic dog said, a breath being released that he didn't know he was holding. Relief washed over his face as he looked at his brother in reassurance. "Well, it was just a nightmare then. After all, I got a ton of life left in me, and I don't plan on dying anytime soon. So I wouldn't worry about it. Now come on, eat your breakfast and get ready for the day."

"Heh… alright."

"It is imperative that you don't tell anyone about these messages. Or what you know."

That was what the blue pop-up in front of his face had read. Before coming down stairs, Finn was exposed to this message that only he could see. It was weird to say the least, but being accustomed to a lifetime's worth of what the world of Ooo had to offer, this was completely tame in comparison.

After eating breakfast, Finn went outside for a walk in the chilly winter air. While Jake did say to get ready for the day, unless anything was urgent or if they got a call from the various princesses in need, the pair were basically left to their own devices, usually playing games with BMO. Seeing as how most of the monsters were in hibernation, Finn took this as an opportunity to "clear his head".

'So I basically have a voice in my head that isn't my consciousness. This can only go well…'

"You know, sarcasm isn't really your strong suit. And besides, you've been given a second chance at life."

'And it can hear my thoughts. Alright, who or what exactly are you?'

"As stated earlier, you've had your wish granted by the "Absolute."

'And who is this "Absolute" exactly?'

"Remember when Prismo said that he had a boss? And that he would get upset if the Lich had crossed over into every universe?"

'Yes, but what does that have to do with me now? Me and Jake already stopped it.'

"Not entirely…" Finn did a double take. "A piece of the Lich did fall into the portal, causing that piece to spread into every universe. While most of them were taken care of, it did cause a massive crossover event. Many Auditors had their hands full just trying to find what universes already killed it. As you can imagine, the process was a complete trial to get through."

'I fail to see how this is still tied to me though…"

"Because it was you that made the wish." Completely flabbergasted, Finn let another blue screen replace the old one. "Look, you know of Prismo the Wishmaker, so you know that whoever makes it into his domain gets one wish. Naturally you aren't the first person to get a wish from him, but you have been the first in a long time to make a selfless wish.

"But it was Jake who wished for the Lich to bring us back home. Jake ended up saving the day. I didn't do anything." He couldn't help but say out loud.

"Actually, you did make a wish to prevent the Lich from existing. However, even with your best intentions, it still existed for a period of time and caused a version of you to create the portal. It was a monkey's paw that Prismo developed when he kept meeting people with selfish desires. That shouldn't have happened, but it did. And yes while Jake did wish for a better ending, Prismo still had to help him, otherwise he would have wasted his wish on a sandwich of all things. Another selfish wish that would have been the biggest regret for the rest of his life. He'd have to go back to a universe without you. And a world of Ooo without Finn takes disastrous turns."

Finn paused dead in his tracks when he read that last bit of information.

"T-that can't be possible." He muttered out loud.

"Then see for yourself."

With that little cryptic message, Finn felt a jolt of electricity surge through his body. It was as if he was experiencing the biggest headache he had in his life. He saw a vision of what happened after the Lich made his original wish, what he himself wished for as a result, and Jake and Prismo's talk. He wasn't sure when he ended up on the ground, but he immediately got up to spit out the dirt that landed in his mouth. After recollecting himself, he gave out a grunt of frustration.

"So that's how it happened… I need to process this.

"Take your time. Afterall, you have a second chance at life."

"With that last pop up, Finn began walking back towards the treehouse, stewing on all the new information given to him.

It was about a day later that Finn found himself on the outskirts of the Candy Kingdom. He had no real reason to even walk here, just sightseeing really. Coming across many of the Candy citizens, he waved and greeted them as they went about their daily lives. He soon found himself at the entrance of the Candy Tavern, the place that was run by Dirt Beer Guy.

'Wait, Dirt Beer Guy is still a telemarketer, and he hasn't died yet, so he goes by Root Beer Guy." Finn realized, sighing to himself. Entering the tavern, he sat at his favorite seat at the bar. Without even a word, the bartender, Charles as Finn recalled, slid a root beer over to the young hero. Taking the cup, he sipped the contents while listening to the band playing on the stage. He failed to recall the name of the song, but it was catchy. Taking another sip, he still couldn't get the information from yesterday out of his head. If what everything that popup said happened was true, then this was his second chance at life, and not just an overly long fever dream. He truly went back in time to the point where he was just starting his adventures.

"Oh Glob…" Finn could only lament. This was going to be a hassle trying to remember all the things that happened in the previous life. Between the monsters, abominations, and all other sorts of magical entities he encounters on a near daily basis, it was going to be near impossible to remember everything since he tried to take it in stride. For now, he would try to stick to the things he could remember. The most immediate problem being the Ice King, or Simon. He never could find a way to get the crown from making him go insane without turning off the magic. Problem is that without the magic, Simon would wither and die, and Marceline would be heartbroken by such a thing. Speaking of Marceline, he needed to do something about it when she eventually came over to kick them out of the house… twice. But in order to do anything about getting on her good graces at the first impression, he would need to do something completely obvious, like getting Simon back to normal without getting him killed.

"*Sigh*This would be so much easier if I had the Enchiridion right now. There might have been something in there that could help me." Finn grumbled. If there was one thing that he definitely wanted to change, it would be his use of that book, or rather lack of using it. While he did read the other universe's Enchiridion, it didn't show much about the crown. Different universes would have different versions of the same thing. Thinking back on it, while Finn did get the Enchiridion in his earliest start to adventuring (about a couple of months from now), he still felt impatient about it. It's not like he can go to Mount Cragdor and get it now…

'Wait a minute…' Finn thought, no longer sipping on his soda, lest he accidentally spit take. 'It couldn't be that easy, could it? I already know where it is now and I know what will be awaiting me there. I could just grab it now.'

It was like a spark had struck him. A spark that only flickered the lightbulb in his head. However, that spark soon turned into a massive surge of electricity lighting up the bulb, and every other lightbulb in the vicinity for that matter. Ideas that he didn't think were possible began rushing forth in his head. A smile began to form on his face as he formulated his plan.

"What was it that other humans called it when they wanted to beat a game in the fastest time possible… Was it speedrunning? Yeah.. That's it. I could speedrun my way through most of these problems, and it could start with the Enchiridion.

"New Quest Unlocked: Find the Enchiridion!"

'You are about to embark on a hero's journey. However, there are many trials ahead of you, each one more dangerous than the last. Fortunately, there exists a tome capable of leading you on your path to become a great hero: The Enchiridion. Throughout the ages, since its creation, many heroes have learned and added their own notes into it from their own adventures. Many tips and tricks in the book can be applied to the world of Ooo. Passed down through the ages, there are many secrets that can be obtained about the universe around you.'

Finn could only blink in shock at the popup that appeared before him before groaning.

'Since when did my life suddenly become a video game?' In a bit of irony, no popup showed up to that thought. Finishing up the rest of his drink, he paid the bartender some gold and began walking home. He knew that in order for this plan to work, he would need Jake.

"So you want us to go to Mount Cragdor for what exactly?" Jake couldn't help but ask. When Jake heard Finn return home from whatever, he was more than happy to tag along to help him with whatever he needed. However, when Finn talked about how he heard something exciting at Mount Cragdor, he was more than a bit skeptical. After all, it was a bit too specific for a location that, as far as he knew, only Mannish Man lived there. Sure he was a hero, but he wasn't Billy levels of awesome. Something had to have excited Finn this much to get him to go to a remote place of little interest to both of them.

"Because Jake, I heard that there was a legendary artifact that is being guarded by Mannish Man." That perked up Jake's attention. "We got to go, dude. Before someone else gets there."

"Eeehhh… I don't know Finn. No offense, but it's only getting colder outside. You're sure you don't want to wait until spring rolls around?"

"Positive!"

"Well~, okay. Let's pack warmly before we head out." Jake relented, sighing at how his baby brother in all but blood was acting. He only got this hyperactive when something really excited him, like when he first started fighting bad guys. Turning around to reach for his jacket, he couldn't help but say, "You're positive something is there to find?"

"Absolutely! Now come on, Mount Cragdor isn't going to be exploring itself."

"Heheh, okay, okay." Jake relented, moving to the door and waited for Finn to hop on him. He didn't have to wait long as the young hero immediately got on the magic dog's back. Stretching his arms and legs, Jake made quick work of the distance between the treehouse and the entrance to Mount Cragdor. Upon placing Finn down, the duo were greeted to a peculiar sight. It was a short and tubby old man with yellow skin wearing a baby blue robe. That wasn't interesting on its own as both he and Finn had come across way crazier looking people. What did stick out was the fact that his hat was in the shape of a backwards F, forming a key of some sort. As soon as the old man saw them, he began talking.

"Greetings… Uh, who are you?" the old man said, puzzled at the new arrivals, and a bit cautious. Finn realized that Princess Bubblegum must have given them a heads up on him arriving the first go around.

"I am Finn the Human and this here is Jake!" the young hero said in an enthusiastic tone.

"Hey." Jake said nonchalantly.

"We're here because we heard that the Enchiridion is here!" Finn said in the same enthusiastic tone.

"Ahh yes… Well then, my name is Key-per and I am- woah!" was all the old man got out before without warning, Finn had walked up to him, picked him up and jammed his head into the giant keyhole in the doors that locked out people from Mount Cragdor, then proceeded to turn the old man until an audible *CL-THUNK* was heard, followed by the turning of gears inside the doors. Pulling out the old man, Finn gently placed him back on his feet. The old man nevertheless took this in stride as he congratulated the young hero for solving the puzzle so easily.

"I just thought you looked funny with your head in there." Finn said honestly.

"Ah yes, that's how most people get in…" the old man couldn't help but ponder out loud. The large doors behind them began to open revealing a path towards the rest of the mountain. With no hesitation, the young hero grabbed Jake by the hand and ran into the entrance, barely heeding the words of warning that the old man was saying.

The next 10 or so minutes were becoming more of a bizarre series of events for Jake. With the old man, that was somewhat understandable, but then he watched as he and Finn walked by a trio of gnomes in a burning pit. Nothing seemed wrong about that, but it was when the gnomes revealed their true colors did Jake truly get a sense of caution from Finn of all people. As soon as one of the gnomes made a movement to zap the old lady they were flying above, Finn, in an act of high dexterity and accuracy, threw a dagger between the lady and the gnome's laser blast. The laser hit the blade, causing the beam of magical power to ricochet right back at its user, nearly taking off his head in the process, instead leaving a burning hole in his little orange hat. Before any of them could process what just happened, Finn was right next to them. Jumping to do a spin kick at the would be old lady killers, they were hit with enough force to knock them right back into the burning lava pit. However, after the gnomes were crying out for help again, Finn strangely pulled them out. Thinking that the person before them was dumb, they were about to zap him when the young hero said something that made them freeze in their tracks.

"Don't mistake my mercy for weakness, because the next time, I won't feel so merciful to leave you burning. I'll just rip your heads off with my hands. Let's see you beg for help then."

Jake was having a hard time picking his jaw from the floor when he heard his baby brother utter those words. While he knew Finn was prone to violence, to hear him say such a threat was jarring, and the tone of his voice when he said it sent chills down his spine, like he had a lifetime's worth of killing intent, and he wasn't even the target of said hatred. Said targets however, were so stunned that they stopped moving their wings, causing them to fall on their butts, making them feel all the more smaller when staring up in fear at Finn's absolute zero demeanor. The color had already drained from their face as they tried and failed to get back up. It was like a demon was staring at their very souls, saw all it wanted to know, and was disgusted by them by their mere presence.

"Do you now understand?" the demon asked them, not once taking his eyes of the targets of his ire. Unable to speak, the trio of gnomes could only nod their heads, fearful that they might have made him angrier.

Fortunately for them, as soon as they nodded, the pressure of killing intent faded as quick as it had appeared. The gnomes began gasping for air, now realizing that they had been holding their breath throughout the entire ordeal.

"Good," the face of Finn changed back to its original upbeat look. "Now get out of here. Unless you want another demonstration."

The gnomes didn't even bother listening to the last sentence, as they turned tail to fly as fast as they could away from him. Jake could only stare in shock as the trio of gnomes fled, still amazed at what he witnessed.

"Wow Finn, I didn't know you had that in you. Where did that even come from?"

"I guess it was instinctual. My body moved and acted before I knew what I was doing."

"Well, hopefully those instincts of yours help us get through this fast." He said. Finn glanced to see about the old lady, only to blink as she was nowhere to be found. Guess Jake was right about the whole thing being a trial. Speaking of which, Finn turned his head back in front, seeing his friend walking in front of him, only to be held back and thrown backwards as a giant mouth had occupied the space the magic dog had previously occupied.

"Careful Jake, you almost walked into that one."

"Woah! That was too close. Thanks for the save."

"HEY!" A loud voice came from the giant that tried to eat Jake. "You got in the way of my meal. So I'll eat you instead!"

Looking back up at the source of the loud voice, he saw a giant ogre, fat in appearance and bald. Despite the cold weather, the ogre's only article of clothing was the same ripped pants. At first, Finn was intimidated by the sheer size of it. The first time Finn met the ogre, he was too emotional with anger to be scared by its stature. Now, though, he realized that his full height didn't even reach the giant's knee. However, he didn't let that deter him, plus he had a secret weapon of his own.

"JAKE! DISTRACT IT!" Finn yelled as he charged at the giant. The magic dog wasted no time to grow big and began grappling the ogre, much to its surprise. Now tangled in makeshift sumo wrestling, the giant could only focus on not getting pushed down. This gave Finn ample time and opportunity to climb up the giant's right leg and reach its pocket. Hooking his arm into the back pocket and taking out the giant's wallet, he found the same dollar that he took before. Now using the dollar like a small hang-glider, he began to travel high in the air due to the cold winds carrying him up..

"HEY!" Came the giant's shrill voice, now more angry than ever. However, he couldn't give chase to the object of his ire because he was still being held up by Jake. This only served to make him angrier. "GIVE ME BACK MY DOLLAR, YOU THIEF!"

"Alright… HERE'S YOUR DOLLAR!"

With that, Finn flew up into the air before letting go of one end of the dollar, causing him to fall right at the fighting giant duo using the height to gain speed on his descent. Jake noticed that Finn had one of his legs stretched out, preparing for a missile drop kick. Opening up a hole in his chest, Finn fell right through the magic dog, giving him the opportunity to hit the ogre's groin at terminal velocity. Now the giant, once angry, had nearly doubled over in pain. Unfortunately before, it could even process the pain, this gave Jake the chance he needed to push the orge, making it fall flat on its back. The initial pain finally settled in, causing the giant to throw up on the ground, a puddle forming around the giant's head.

This gave Finn a chance to grab onto the other end of the dollar, letting the winds carry him again. Signaling to Jake, the dog shrunk down and grabbed onto Finn's leg, the duo now escaping from the giant. The duo saw the various traps and obstacles on the path to the top of the summit, both thankful that they were capable of skipping them. Reaching near the summit of Mount Cragdor, they saw the stone castle at the near top of the mountain, the entrance being an open doorway. Amidst all the trees, it really stuck out, especially since the wood that was adorning the castle was made in a way that seemed as if it was grown in a symmetrical pattern. With a bit of maneuverability, the duo landed at the entrance to it. As soon as they landed however, Finn was folding the dollar bill into a paper airplane. As soon as they heard the giant's weeping at the loss of his money. However, his pleas were heard as he saw the same dollar fly right back towards him. Grabbing it out of midair, he cried in joy at the revelation of the dollar being back in his hand.

"You know what that was… That was righteous." Jake praised.

"Thanks man. Now let's get inside shall we?" Finn blushed.

"Yeah, Oh!" Jake picked up his nose, smelling something peculiar. "I think I can smell the book now, it's just through this entrance. Entering the doorway, Finn and Jake soon came across a double door entryway. Opening one of the doors revealed a long corridor that was mostly empty, with the only things in the corridor were the tree-like half columns that were at the walls. The most peculiar sight of these columns were the stitched-together puppet arms that stuck out of most of the left tree holes, each arm holding a dagger in its hand. exactly as Finn remembered it in his previous life. On the other side of the chamber were two pots that were slowly emitting out a purple smoke. "Cool~!" The magic dog exclaimed.

"We must be getting close." Finn said.

"Congratulations Finn the Human…" A raspy voice called out to them on the other side of the hallway, The two pots had started emitting the purple smoke at a faster rate. A shadowy figure then appeared in the smoke. "You must have been truly righteous to make it this far…" The figure said, stepping out of the fog to reveal itself to be the Dark Magician.

"Oh, um… thanks." the aforementioned righteous person said, wondering if this will play out a second time around.

"Now enter my brain world… And I will show you some aspect of yourself… That you're not entirely aware of…"

"That happened faster than I thought." Jake pondered aloud. Finn, for all intents and purposes, had been in a dream-like trance for about half a minute before running up to the Dark Magician, who had now adopted a look of pure panic, before kicking the evil wizard in the crotch, causing him to disintegrate into smoke. "What happened in there?"

"Not much, just slayed an evil beast. Then the wizard wanted me to slay a neutral ant, so I slayed him instead." Finn said nonchalantly.

"Oh, cool."

The door on the other side opened up to reveal a clearing on top of Mount Cragdor, with more mountains being seen in the distance.

"Congratulations, Finn the Human…" a figure walked in front of the door and inside the hallway to reveal the same old guy, Key-per from the entrance, but this time he was wearing pajamas that made him look like a devil. Finn still felt like punching him, but knew that was just the adrenaline still pumping in his blood. Taking deep breaths, he eventually calmed down to hear what the old man had to say. "Now you have truly reached the end of the trials and have proven yourself to be a true hero. Follow me to claim your-"

"Finn! Jake! You made it!" a loud, gruff voice exclaimed out, cutting off the old man. The ground slightly shook with each step, signaling the approach of someone, who turned out to be none other than Mannish Man. Finn couldn't help but be reminded of how he grew up to be as buff as him.

'I need to work out more.' "So I take it that you're Mannish Man."

"Heheheh! That's me alright!" The Minotaur said, flexing his muscles in a way that Finn couldn't help but think he was showing off. "Anyway, I've been watching the two of you and I can say with complete confidence that you two are worthy of being called heroes. I couldn't take my eyes off of you when you saved those gnomes, only to unrepentently kick them back into the lava pit. But when you pulled them out just to intimidate them, the Key-per nearly fainted." he laughed heartily at that last part.

"It's true!" the old man confirmed.

"So… Does that mean that we can check out the Enchiridion? Can we?" Finn said in a childish desperation.

"Heh, of course, we can check out together. Follow me. Let's go check it out." Mannish Man said, gesturing to them to tag along.

"Wooohooo!" Jake exclaimed.

He finally had it.

After that intense bout of adrenaline-pumping action, Finn had acquired the Enchiridion, and in a faster time than he had previously had gotten it. As soon as he was done talking with Mannish Man and Key-per (and the old ladies, one of whom he met before), the human and dog duo returned home. Jake went to take a nap while Finn decided to continue researching the book. However, he wanted to do better in keeping the book and using it for good, he eventually remembered why he didn't bother with it in the first place. When it comes to anything regarding book smarts, he was an idiot. He always learned things through experience and combat rather than research and books as that was Princess Bubblegum's forte. However, the worst part of it all was that despite all of its knowledge, there was little mention of the Ice Crown, and what it did mention was not really much to go on. Just that the last person to where it threw it in the waters of a place called Scandinavia, which if Finn remembered correctly, was where Simon got it from.

'This is going to be harder than I thought. I know this isn't the answer to all my problems, but it surely would help. Now I just need to figure out how to unlock dimensional travel without destroying it. I could go to Princess Bubblegum, but she might freak out that I managed to find this before she mentioned it to me. Well, if anything else, I can at least try to make cyclops tears from whatever this recipe is. A combination of echinacea, chicken soup, toad potion, apple juice, celery soda, ginseng, rocks, and marshmallow mold. If I can figure out what needs to be done with those, I wouldn't have to fret over my missing arm again. If only I could get smarter faster than in an instant.'

This was going to be much more of a challenge than he thought. Information could only get him so far, and it was only a matter of time before he became stumped. He was more used to thinking on the fly than actually sitting down and planning.

"Through the use of thinking like a nerd, you have acquired +1 to your wisdom."

And then there were the popups. Ever since he walked out of Mount Cragdor with the Enchiridion on hand, they started showing up again. Something about new skills being learned. He didn't pay attention to it before, but since he was stumped with this, he figured he might as well check them out now.

"New Skill Learned: Intimidation - By focusing your killing intent, you have a chance to make your targets give up fighting. Increases with your reputation."

"New Skill Learned: Mental Lock - Attacks on the mind have a lower chance of affecting you. Increased resistance with each instance of surviving a Psychic attack."

Finn's eyebrows perked up at that. It seems that when he does a specific thing, he can gain a skill for it. When he goes up against a specific element, he can gain resistance towards it. Pretty useful in terms of everyday life on Ooo. Although he couldn't help but feel a bit ticked off at the nerd comment.

"Hmph, whatever." Finn grumbled out, rolling his eyes at the comment. So what if it was an insult, his old life showed him that nerds can be amazing and you never know who might have the specific abilities you were looking for. Although, now that he thought about it, the word stuck out to him like gum, like there was something familiar about it. But couldn't place his finger on it.

'Nerd… Nerd… I know that something's off, but what is it? There's something about that word that is sticking out to me for some reason, but I don't know why.'

"Finn…" a small voice interrupted the young hero's train of thought. Looking down at the source of the voice, he saw a sentient robot console staring back at him with the screen showing two dots for eyes and a line representing its mouth. It was none other than BMO and somehow, those dots and the line was all the little robot needed to express a face of concern. "Are you okay, you look like you're going through something."

"Oh… Hey BMO. It's nothing, I just thought of something I remember, but make out what it is exactly, kind of like trying to recollect an exact memory."

"Oh, maybe I can help with that. I have an excellent memory."

"I doubt it, it's something that you wouldn't know cause you haven't seen it yet.

"Oh…" the tiny robot said despondently. "Well, when Jake tends to overthink things, he usually tries to play video games to take his mind off. Says he doesn't want to force something out if it isn't clicking, it will come on its own time."

"Yeah, that sounds like something Jake would say. Alright, let's play some games."

Picking up BMO, Finn placed him on the table and began scrolling through the list of 2D 8 Bit games. Finn was reminded of all the other games that he used to play when the human's arrived. BMO's games didn't become more advanced until the humans came back to Ooo and gave the little robot a serious software update, but that wouldn't happen until he went to Founder's Island to convince the humans to come to Ooo, and even then it would take about a couple of months afterwards. Shaking his head from those thoughts, he decided to select a random game, which just so happened to select Guardians of Sunshine. Finn remembered how much he struggled with this game in his previous life, and what the feeling of death was like when he died in BMO's Main-Brain-Game-Frame. The young hero had to suppress a shudder at that thought. He did not want to experience that again, thank you very much.

"Say BMO, where did you get this game from again?" He couldn't help but ask.

"Oh, I made it myself." the small robot finished at that, unnoticing of Finn's increased nervousness.

"Uh huuuh... are all these games made by you?"

"Actually no, some of these games came from Jake, who said he got them from Loose Shoes... or someone like that. I don't exactly remember the name. But I'm sure it's-" BMO stopped saying, seeing the face of Finn, who's eyes had nearly double in size and his jaw was as far down as it could go, as if what he heard from the small robot was a mind-boggling revelation. Unknowingly to BMO, the ironic thing is that it was in a sense.

'Loose Shoes... No, that's definitely Choose Goose, and I remember now. He had something called the Glasses of Nerdicon. If I can get my hands on it, solving this would be a breeze.'

"New Quest Unlocked: Obtain the Glasses of Nerdicon"

'Don't let the childish sounding name fool you. If it's intelligence and wisdom that you seek, then these spectacles will do more than that. Not many know of its true origin, and even fewer have ever used it. However, if you think that it would be a walk in the park to use them, then you're dead wrong. Those who have used it tend to go mad from the uncontrollable intellect, or suffer a brain hemorrhage from the information overload. Do you wish to proceed?'

Without even a moment's notice, the young hero was already out the door in search of the market. Though he couldn't help but think to himself, 'This is going to be a thing, isn't it?'

"Deal with it."

Somehow, Finn could only laugh when he read that.

AN: Probably going to be my longest running story. When I was watching Adventure Time, when it first came out, a lot of things stuck out that could be very useful for Finn, but most of the time it was stuff that only appeared in one episode, like the Glasses of Nerdicon or the Ninjas of the Ice: The Art of Fridjitzu book. Even the Dungeon Train was something that was never explored past its debut. This will be a story about Finn remembering these things from his past life and using them to his advantage in his next life. Honestly, I got the inspiration to do this from Manwha's like Glitch: Solo Bug Player, The World's Greatest Estate Developer, and Trash of the Count's Family (I would have also included Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, but I never read it.)
