Batman and Green Arrow FanFiction: The Bat, The Arrow, And The One-Eyed Merc
To all you readers of my stories, you all know how much I love Batman. However, I feel like I never really became too interested in any of the other heroes of the DC universe and I'm willing to try. And what better way to do that than writing stories about Batman teaming up with the other great heroes of DC Comics. Green Arrow is a pretty interesting character and has lots in common with Batman such as being both rich and using gadgets along with so many people loving the Arrow series. What better antagonist for both Batman and Green Arrow than Deathstroke who is someone they both have a rivalry with. In this story, Oliver Queen comes to Gotham City on important business which is secretly tracking down Slade who has accepted the job of killing Batman by Sofia Falcone who has taken over her father's criminal empire after he dies. Slade has a score to settle with Batman after defeating him during the events of Arkham Origins; plus, he also has a long history with Arrow, and he doesn't need two eyes to take out both his enemies. Nightwing also joins in because of his own personal history with the assassin during his days with the Teen Titans. The story itself is mainly much of the militia story and missions from Arkham Knight, but without the Arkham Knight. I don't own Batman which belongs to DC Comics and was created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. I also don't own Green Arrow which also belongs to DC Comics and was created by Mort Weisinger and George Papp. Batman is in his Arkham City look with the late great Kevin Conroy reprising his role and Deathstroke is in his Arkham Origins look with Mark Rolston reprising his role from the Arkham Games. Enjoy!

Chapter 1: A Legend Dies
The news was all over Gotham City that legendary crime lord, Carmine Falcone was dying from inoperable lung cancer. Falcone was if anything the key factor that turned Gotham from the prosperous and safe place it used to be in the old days to the crime-stricken home for psychotics in costumes that it is today. Carmine was an old-school gangster that didn't need any costume or gimmicks to become a successful criminal. He used to be the top crime boss in the city 20 years ago before that title was lost to Black Mask and then he lost the title to the Joker which is when Gotham really went to Hell. But the one he considered the most responsible for his organization falling apart is the city's protector, Batman. Ever since he made an appearance more than a decade ago, criminals who once felt in control when it was dark, feel safer during the day because the bat had claimed the night. He felt that it was because of the bat that so many psychos with their costumes and obsessive gimmicks had kept popping up constantly and the more respectable time of mobsters had faded away. Because Falcone was the top boss back in the day, Batman was the first one he went after when he made his debut to give citizens hope and make criminals scared shitless. Many people were watching the news story about Falcone's soon-to-be demise such as all the cops in the GCPD, and even Bruce Wayne was watching it all on the TV in his office at the top of Wayne Tower. Vicki Vale was the one reporting the news story just outside Falcone's home. "We are reporting just outside of Carmine Falcone's penthouse now who is currently too ill and unavailable to give any statements. Many residents of Gotham are rejoicing with the fact that someone like Falcone is dying, but there are also some who are paying their respects to the dying crime lord. We'll have more information for you viewers as soon as it becomes available to us. This is Vicki Vale reporting.", Vale said before she went off the air. Bruce wasn't entirely sure what to make of it all. Nearly two years ago, he lost his long-time arch-nemesis who he had an unhealthy connection with. Plus, has had many adventures since then and now one of the first big criminals he faced when he became Batman was dying. Lucius Fox came into Bruce's office holding some papers and walked towards his desk. "Sorry to interrupt, Mr. Wayne. But payroll checks require your signature." Lucius said. "That's fine, Lucius. I'll take care of it. Thank you.", Bruce said as he took the papers from Lucius and began signing them. Lucius turned his eyes to the TV and saw what was being covered. "I see you've seen the story that's circling the city. What do you make of it?", Lucius asked. "There's nothing much to say, I guess. Cancer's a hard thing to fight especially for someone of Falcone's age.", Bruce said honestly. "I would think you of all people would be happy. It would be one less criminal for you to deal with.", Lucius said. "Batman's not about whether or not I want criminals to die, Lucius. Batman's about protecting the innocent and saving Gotham from scum. In case you forget, I'm still not entirely right after Joker died which was almost two years ago.", Bruce said. "I guess you're right about that, sir.", Lucius said. Bruce finished signing the payroll checks and gave them back to his friend. "Here you go.", Bruce said. "Thank you, sir. Take care.", Lucius said as he left and Bruce got back to work. Meanwhile in Falcone's penthouse, the old man himself was laying there expecting to die at any given moment while chocking on his breaths. He was laying there dying silently before one of his men came in and said, "Sorry to intrude, boss; but your daughter's here.". "Send her in.", Falcone said. In came, Carmine's daughter Sofia Falcone came in with tears welling up in her eyes at the sight of her father dying. "Daddy.", Sofia said as she went over to her father's bedside and held his hand. "I'm sorry for you to see me like this, Sofia.", Carmine said. "Are you sure there's nothing more that can be done?", Sofia asked while crying. "The doctors say there's nothing more. I can feel Death coming to take me away any minute now. I only wish your brother was here with us too.", Carmine wheezed. He was referring to his son, Alberto Falcone who was recently killed by Penguin after a long-time rivalry. "But before I go, I ask you to do something.", Falcone said. "Anything, Dad. What is it?", Sofia asked with open ears. "Make this city yours. Take Gotham back from the freaks and psychos and turn it back into the civilized criminal empire it was before that damn Bat came along.", Carmine said. "I promise I will.", Sofia said. "And if you can, take out that pointy-eared pest. He's the reason freaks like that clown came to be in the first place and ruined honorable men like myself.", Carmine said. "I will, Papa. I give you my word.", Sofia promised him. "I knew I could count on you, Sofia. I love you.", Carmine said as he smiled at his daughter. He then gave into the cancer and passed away. The machines he was hooked up to had begun flat lining and beeping signifying death. All his men stood silent and bowed their heads to pay their respects to their boss while Sofia had her face buried in her father's chest while sobbing. She just made him a promise that she will definitely take action into keeping real soon.
