Three hours later, Glinda had received a call from the girls' mothers while the girls sat on the couch watching TV.

"Alright, I'll let the girls know, talk to you later," said Glinda before hanging up.

"Who was that?" asked West.

"Your moms, something came up and they have to go somewhere for the night," said Glinda.

"So, you two will have to stay here till morning," she said.

"But you only have one guest room," said Dorothy.

"You two will just have to share the bed, luckily you both left some clothes you can sleep in," said Glinda before walking away. Later as Dorothy and West were getting ready for bed in the guest room.

"You know I can just take the couch if you're not okay with this," said West.

"That would not be fair to you," said Dorothy as she avoided looking at the witch.

"If you're alright with it then why are you not looking at me, did I do something to upset you or something?" asked West.

"No, it's just because I'm nervous," said Dorothy.

"Of what?" asked West.

"Sharing a room with the girl I like," said Dorothy while finally turning to look at West, revealing that her face was bright red.

"What did you say?" asked West who was shocked.

"I said that I like you, West, and I know this could hurt our friendship but…," said Dorothy before West interrupted.

"I like you too," said West who couldn't help but smile.

"You do?" asked Dorothy.

"Yes, I wanted to tell you sooner but was afraid for the same reason so I had decided to keep quiet and hide my feelings," said West.

"Guess we're both a little silly to not realize it sooner," said Dorothy with a smile.

"Maybe a little," said West as she took a seat next to Dorothy on the edge of the bed. After a minute of silence just looking at each other, the two inched closer until they kissed.

"Whoa," said the two after pulling away from each other.
