Chapter four: Oh my …you really do care! Rehabilitation.
The truth about Ryoba and her fate were out. Not that it did much harm, my friends still like me, and the other people's opinions are irrelevant, but it is a thing.
Genka Kunahito was suddenly very worried about me and did everything she could to console me. It felt nice, to be cared for. I smiled at her.
The she told me her story with the delinquents. She failed to prevent the bullying, because she could never attain any evidence of the bulling and then the victims of the buying became the delinquents, after they saw Osoro shidesu beat up her enemies and thought that violence is a good solution. She regrets not helping the bulling victims because now they are troublemakers, and in risk of getting expelled. It was only her who prevented them from being expelled and now she has to rehabilitate them, or get fired herself.
Oh no, the headmaster is worse than I thought. Also when she talked to back him that he should not be so harsh towards me, she could not convince him to not threaten me and he even threatened to expel her from Akademi if she ever talked about this subject again. The students council had been convinced to let me alone for long time by now, I had noticed that they would no longer hmm at me, and their stares are not bothering me anyways. I am very grateful for Genka Kunahito´s help, and I don't want her to get punished for protecting my friends! She was the one who prevented the explusion of us! So it is time to repay kindness with kindness!
So went to Gaku Hiktisuri, the one who had warmed up the most to me, and told him of this story. I begged him that we should stop acting like delinquents, and he must know that Genka Kunahito has helped him too, when she finally punished the bullies.
He looked at me shock for a moment and wanted to disagree with me, but then he thought about it fora long moment with a conflicted expression, and then he finally agreed with my assessment.
Then he went to tell his friends about it. It was not easy, but we convinced them all, to care for their future, to get education, and not let Genka´s help get to waste.
First we convinced Hokuto Furukizu, then he convinced his best friend Hayanari Tsumeato and so on…
Even Osoro was convinced eventually , but only thanks to Umeji Kizuguchi. I think the two are falling in love with each other… I have seen both of them make eyes to each other.
Oh and I had convinced Genka Kunahito, , that the bullies will have to attend cleaning time like everyone else, that is only fair, hehe , I know how the rules are supposed to be. So let the bullies be "rehabilitated" too! If that is even possible for them.
Next day we went to school without blonde dyed hair, and all attended our lesson in time and participated in cleaning time, most people were mistrusting us, but some actually returned our smiles back.
Changing our posture to a more straight and polite one was not as easy, and we were still a bit hunched over, but now that we know that there are authority figures out there that do care for us and protect us and want us to be good, it is harder not to behave well. Even if the force of habit is difficult to overcome at first.
I apologized to Oka chan for being a delinquent for a while, and she accepted my apology.
Then Osoro´s bird was stolen by a enemy gang, but we got it back for her. Everything is good, now Osoro can still have her canary. Now Osoro smiled genuinely and did not look like a delinquent anymore.
Time passed, and finally I fell in love with Gaki Hikiutsuri and we confessed to each other and now we are happily enjoying our time in the art club together. I have also invited him over to my home, and introduced him to my new cat, now that Ryoba is gone, I can finally have one at home safely!
Oh and I also showed him the drawings I had made, including the drawings of the bullies as demons, and he found these drawings accurate.
Even Father has gotten better. He has even become friends with the Journalist who failed to get Ryoba Aishi convicted of murder back in 1989.
Oh, and I invited the lovely couple of Umeji Kizuguchi and Osoro shidesu to our hose and we cooked nice dishes together. Father, think whatever you want, but they are my friends and not murderers like Ryoba!
I still have the scar on me forehead, and am still wary of authorities, and am not always polite, but all in all I feel really accepted and in a good place now. Things are looking up, and I think I will live a good life now.
