Hey there, Its certainly been a hot minute, So I think I owe anyone who is taking the time to read this some candid information.
I know I am not exactly the most efficient author on this site, far from it, however I do at least like to keep you updated on how things are going, and as of now I am attempting to start the next chapter in Bloodmoon, things have been difficult to say the least. Between my mental health being not the best the past few months, and changes to both my work and personal lives pulling my attention into different directions. I have not made much progress in finding the words to start the next chapter. Now I have most of it thought out. the tricky part is filling in the spaces. I do plan on going into more of an original direction with the plot as opposed to following canon (full transparency I havent actually watched the show since...season 3 due to a number of factors.) And I know that might make a few more dedicated fans of the show a little upset but that is just the situation I am in. Originally Bloodmoon was a project I started to help improve my writing skills and character and plot work. and I have over the past 7 years of writing this noticed a distinct change in how I write and what I find enjoyable in stories.
Im sure anyone who reads the story from start to what has been published will notice the gaps in how character's act and behave. I know I have noticed it and I think it is due to me as a creator growing along with this project. I dont want to publish anything I would not want to read myself. And mind you I have no intentions of calling it quits on Bloodmoon right now. I am still very invested in the story I want to tell, however I will put it on the record now that If I ever do decide to hang up my keyboard and put it to rest I will publish a full summary of how the story would progress and ultimately end, I know how annoying dead fics can be and I dont want Bloodmoon to end up that way.
Moving onto what is coming in the future, the current arc with the man in the pin-stripped suit, is set to last around 2-3 chapters at most. it was originally meant to be longer but when i was going over the plot I found it would take a lot longer to feasibly cover. Bloodmoon by nature is a slow burn, and I do have plans for the chapters to be longer. It is possible that I cut the chapters into pieces so that way I am not publishing once a year.
After the current mini-arc. I will be blending the events of season 2 and 3 with the direction Bloodmoon will be going into.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this update, I understand that not many people read these but I appreciate the time out of all your days to read this.
