Bullet Spider, donned in his black attire, crawled out of a sewer and zipped ontop of a light pole. Scratching his head he just sighed. "Where the fuck could that thing have gone? Harry said he could sense it... but I can't? Какая куча дерьма."
A buzzing was heard as he pulled out his flip phone from... somewhere, and answered it. "Yuh huh?"
["Did you find him yet?"]
"It. And no, still haven't found him, too much ground to cover and too little spaces I can fit in.", Bullet Spider said as he jumped off the light pole and swung through the city, pointing his fingers out to unleash a black strand of webbing now. "What about you guys?"
["Its... awful, we have a crew recovering the car it threw into the Hudson and now I have to break the news to their families. So you can imagine how that's gonna go."]
"Yikes."
["The forensics team managed to identify the skeleton properly, weirdly enough his teeth are sharper, some of his bones are missing too."]
"Oh word?", Bullet Spider tilted his head as he casually swung through the streets, it felt... different to him. As if the suit was assisting the swinging now. "I'm gonna have to call you back Yuri."
["Thats fine, I need to get back to work anyways."]
Bullet Spider hung up the phone as he hollered through the streets, black film covered his under arms and thighs as he glides through the air at high speeds. "I'll admit, the fuckers working at Oscorp are a genius for making this suit. I'm not only stronger and faster but now I got regenerative healing AND organic webbing, that's gonna save me the trip."
Landing on the fire escape to Maya's apartment, Bullet Spider formed a small tendril that slithered underneath the crack to her living room window and lifted it open. "Hey MJ!", his voice caused her to shriek in fright, throwing a cup at him that a tendril effortlessly caught.
"What. The. FUCK!", Maya exclaimed as she grabbed the counter, taking deep breaths as the black substance retracted away from his face. "What in the world is that?"
"Oh, ifs a suit I yanked from Harry.", Jonah says as he says as he pulled on the suit before it slapped back against his skin. "Cool new threads, or at least I think so. Even though I don't like spandex, this one is cool."
"You look great, honestly. Black really suits you.", Maya comments as she has sufficiently calmed down enough to maintain a conversation. "Also, I heard you got stabbed in the fucking neck by some red monster down in Brooklyn."
"How did you know that?"
"Literally everyone records everything, what do you think?"
"Eh, fair point.", Jonah shrugs as the black substance around his neck began to disperse, showing the single scar that was still there but nothing else. "Fully healed, almost like it never happened in the first place."
Maya nodded as she walked over and inspected his neck, circling the area that she saw was stabbed through. "Wow, there's actually nothing there. Neat, now go change. Shoo.", she nudged him forward as he chuckled.
"Okay okay I'm going. Sheesh.", Jonah says as he walked to the bathroom and locked the door the moment he got in. "Now how do I- oh?", the suit began to deform, morph and twist around his body, peeling away from him and leaving Jonah in a black compression shirt and shorts, the black suit now in his hand. "Y'know, this new suit is quite the time saver."
He felt his regular phone buzz to life, quickly picking it out of his pocket he lifted it to his ear. "What's up, Hobie?"
["How're you doing man? You were gone when I went back to the grid."]
"Yeah, Carnage escaped and now I can't seem to find it. It might be dead considering it needed to eat people to survive.", Jonah says with a shrug as he sat on the toilet seat.
["Wishful thinking ain't it?"]
"I'll wish until it comes true.", Jonah commented as the black suit formed around his wrist. "I feel brand new. This suit is awesome, you gotta try it out."
["I'll pass, but thanks for the offer. Try to bring me a sample, I want to figure out what that thing is."]
"Oh, uh-" "Not his call to make.", Jonah was confused as he heard his own internal voice go through his head instantly. "Hmm... uh, I'll try to get you one. No promises though."
["Eh that's fine. Anyways, I'm off for the night, try to rest up as best as you can."]
"I'll attempt to, anyways. See ya.", the red eyed young man yawns as he suddenly felt exhaustion hit him like a tidal wave. He ended the call and exited the bathroom, throwing the suit into Maya's room as he popped neck.
"Wow, took you less time than usual. That suit is a time saver."
"That's what I said!"
Jonah exited the apartment building that he had taken up residency in for a while thanks to Maya, he saw her father walking up to the entrance. "Hey there, Herman.", he waved as he held the door for him.
"Thanks, Jonah.", Herman nodded as he walked past him. "Maya still asleep?"
"Yeah, just taking a stroll for a little bit. Now go, I'm not gonna bore you with small talk.", Jonah waved him off as Herman let out a sigh of relief as he walked to the elevator.
The red eyed spider-human tugged on the black jacket he wore, layering it cover a white hoodie, dark grey jeans and black sneakers. Black tendrils briefly appeared from the sleeves before melting back into the clothing. "Saves me a lot on dry cleaning as well."
"Whatever this suit is, it's perfect actually. It not only improves on what I've got but gives me the ability to actually use tendrils, glide around and make webbing on command.", Jonah mentally notes aa he shoves his hand into the pockets of his clothing.
Walking into a diner labeled Mick's, Jonah was immediately greeted to a television. ["Last night the brutal creature that was said to be known as Carnage was revealed to be renowned Biochemist Conrad Magnus. NYPD Captain, Yuri Wantanabe credits the Spider-Man for revealing this creature and linking it back to the attack at Oscorp. Stay tuned for more updates at 11."]
Jonah sat down a seat away from a man that looked.. familiar. "If you've experienced it up close, you'd know the guy isn't that great the job.", the man said in a gruff voice, smelling of alcohol.
"Really? Why's that?"
Drinking a coffee, he placed the mug down gently. "The guy isn't really good at the heroism stuff, but criminals fear him enough to keep low and not act out. Lest it explodes with crime."
"Interesting theory.", Jonah nodded as he took note of this. "And you know him?"
"Sort of. But I'm trying to accept what happened, start over fresh.", the man said as he rubbed his eyes. "Or at least that's why I write in my journal, my therapist said that'll help... eventually."
Jonah smiled as he rested his head in his hands. "Talking things out helps too, friend. As it turns out, I happen to be a good listener."
"Nah, you'd probably think I'm crazy too.", the man says with a frown.
"Try me."
The man looked at him with bright blue eyes that Jonah swore he saw before. "A couple of months ago my wife woke me up, she showed me that something had happened to her. Whatever Oscorp had her use turned her to this big body of sand, it was still my wife, I wouldn't be afraid of her. I wanted to help her... that was until the Prowler showed up, had my son Brennan in his arms and talked about wanting her to come with him. See, I was going to let her go, just because it lets our son live... until the spider came in and chased her out."
Jonah's eyes widened as the man continued. "So then, when the police called I was arrested. For around a month I was in prison because my wife had disappeared, for a psychic evaluation because people thought I had went insane. Because there wasn't any evidence, I was set free... my son however was a different story. My sister and brother in law managed to get complete custody, so I came out a free man but I wasn't allowed to visit my son. No matter what I did I was always shot down. Lost my house of course, now I'm living in some shitty apartment in Astoria."
"Wow... that's uh, heavy man.", Jonah says as the older man looked at him. "What's your name again?"
"Oscar.", the decrepit Oscar says with a sigh. "Sorry if I seem a bit off, can't really say I'm in the best condition for conversations."
"No no, that's fine.", Jonah comments with a nervous smile. "I can see why people would think you're nuts, because it sounds insane. Then again, past few months of my life weren't exactly normal either."
"Heh, really now.", Oscar smirked amused before standing up, pulling out his wallet and leaving a few dollars under the mug. "Nice talkin with you kid, be seeing you around probably."
Exiting the diner, Jonah looked over to see an elderly man walk up to him. "Jonah, my boy. How are ya?"
"I'm doin fine Stan.", Jonah says as Stan had handed him a plate of sausages, hashbrowns and eggs. "Didn't even order yet."
"Yeah, but you order the same thing whenever you stop by for breakfast anyways.", Stan shrugged as he went back into the kitchen. "I'm feeling generous, so it's on the house for today."
"Thanks.", Jonah says as he used a small black tendril to grab a fork from afar and twirled it between his fingers. "Welp, now I feel awful." "Eh I better eat up and hit that discontinued subway station down at Broadway... maybe I'll actually attend school instead of doing online work."
Olivia Octavius strolled through the halls of another Alchemax facility, the location remains unknown as she rubbed her hands in excitement. "Ma'am, it's in here.", Cindy says nervously as Olivia skipped over. "We lost a few security to the thing but after figuring out it's weakness to electricity, we managed to bring it back for study."
"A contained environment utilizing controlled shocks to keep it under control.", Olivia nodded as she lightly patted Cindy on the back. "Nice job, really."
Within a giant tank with metal bars layering over glass, the red suit in its gelatinous form swam around slowly and patiently within the green liquid. "Before we caught it, it attempted to take the form of its original host. Maybe we could-", Cindy was silenced as Olivia lifted a hand.
"Bring in our lead geneticist, it's a job for her as well. We need to stabilize this creature into an actual controllable bio armor.", Doc Ock says with a shrug as she walked over to the glass and tapped on it, only to receive the creature violently thrusting itself into the glass only for it to bounce off. "We can partner with Rhykers once we get it stabilized, for now though, I have... another initiative I need to act on."
"Uh... there's been rumors about the Spider-"
"Bullet Spider.", Olivia calmly corrects. "He dislikes the name Spider-Man, mainly because it's used very negatively."
Cindy just nodded. "Uh, Bullet Spider was seen wearing this new suit. There's also a video of him using it as well, looks like a stable version of the Red Suit."
"Oh really? What amazing timing, I'll have to peel it off his bones when I see him again.", Olivia says with a smile as she walked out of the holding facility, rubbing her shoulders as she shivered with excitement.
