Chapter 3
"That is… Magiranger!" Levy blurted out after checking her book, and the scene once again faded to black with the mysterious young man being the last thing that they saw.
"Hey! You can't just end there!" Natsu protested before he looked over to Cana, telling her in an impatient tone "Cana, bring the next one up! I want to see what happen next!"
"I believe that Natsu has spoken up for everyone." Makarov chuckled in amusement, making Natsu grin while the other members of Fairy Tail nod their heads to them in agreement "If my assumption is correct, Magiranger must be a magic theme sentai."
"Yes, master." Levy wholeheartedly agreed before pointing out "During a scene of the legendary war, the Magiranger also activated casted their magic to fight the force of Zangyack."
"And if the rangers have a habit of wearing clothing with their signature colors, then I believe that young man in black cloak just now is the red magi ranger. He must be their leader as well." Lucy gave her two cents before looking over to Natsu, who got a whole lot more excited with what his best friend said next. "And he must be a fire mage as well."
"Hell yeah!" Natsu bumped his fist in the air, showing his enthusiasm.
"Alright, all of you return to your seats! The next recording is ready!" Cana announced, making the whole guild cheer excitedly.
Once that everyone had settled down, Cana activated the third recording, showing the black flag with the symbol of the Gokaiger on the scene. Soon, the camera zoomed out, showing the majestic Gokai Galeon, which appeared to be flying on the sky above a jungle with Luka sitting in the crow nest, turning her head around as if she was searching for something.
"See anything, Luka?" Doc's voice was heard from Luka's transformation device, which she was holding against her ear.
"Interesting, so that device is not just used to transform, switch between sentai form, and call the Gokai Galeon." Levy said before noting it down in her notebook.
"Nope… the fog's gotten kinda thick all of sudden." Luka replied, looking slightly annoyed as she continued to look around. Inside the ship, Ahim and Joe watched Doc as he worked on the control panel of the main monitor, which was flickering rapidly as it appeared to have lost signal.
"This is so frustrating…" The green ranger said as he tried to fix the signal "If I don't get this thing fixed soon, we're not gonna get anywhere…"
"So they are looking for something." Erza pointed out.
"The treasure?"
"Possibly." Laxus answered Mria's assumption with a nod of his head, as the rest of the guild did the same while whispering to one another in agreement with him "They might have gotten a new clue from that fortune teller bird Navi and is out looking for it again."
"And from the vibe that I am getting, it seems that Doc is the mechanic of the group." Gray stated, with many agreeing with him "To be honest, with his name I thought he was the doctor or something."
"Juvia thought the same, Gray-sama." Juvia replied with a smile.
"No wonder why he's not very good at fighting." Natsu laughed.
"Sure he can beat you in a fair fight, flame brain."
"Not a chance, ice princess."
The fire dragon slayer continued with a wide grin. Even though they had all seen the green Gokaiger in action, the mages of Fairy Tail had to admit that compare to the others, even a ladylike and soft spoke girl like Ahim, Doc was easily the weakest fighter of the space pirate crew. He was effective in combat, but at the same time, he was also relatively clumsy and somewhat of a coward, choosing to run from the fight most if not all the time..
"That's because we are just flying in random direction." Navi the bird said, making Ahim and Joe turn around to look at him.
"And we're doing that because your navigation was off mark." Joe spoke to him, looking just as annoyed as Luka, who was still up in the crow nest.
"What?! It's my fault?" Navi asked in disbelief, but the Gokaiger chose to ignore him in favor of turning his attention back to the screen in front of them.
"I wonder what's wrong. It's never glitched out on us like this before…" Doc said, looking more and more worried.
"Outside interfering?" Erza asked, looking over to the master and seeing him nodding his head slowly in agreement. "Friendly?"
"Possibly not." Makarov answered in a serious tone, making the atmosphere in the hall grow tense. However, some members, like Natsu, was excited that they would be able to see some more actions earlier than how they did in the last recording.
"It did occur quite unexpectedly, I must say…" Ahim turned to Doc and spoke to him, looking just as worried as the mechanic. "I wonder if the Zangyack is behind this."
"I think they might have better thing to do with their time." Marvelous, who was in the cockpit, replied while resting his hands on the helm. The captain of the Gokaiger was donning his full suit, and judging by the tone of his voice, it was quite clearly that he was hoping that what he said was the truth, despite believing otherwise.
"Ah... I give up! I can't see a thing!" Luka exclaimed in annoyance; her field of view being completely obscured by the fog around the Gokai Galleon.
Before she could say anything else to her crewmate through her transforming device, a sudden engine noise that got louder and closer to her with every second made Luka widen her eyes in surprise.
"Could it be… that they are being pursued by a Zangyack spaceship?" Gajeel asked in a serious tone.
"Something's coming." She said, before snapping her head around to look toward the direction of the noise. The source of the noise then emerged from the thick fog, revealing itself to be none other than a Zangyack spaceship, which then rammed into the Gokai Galleon, knocking Luka off balance.
"Oh shit, it's really them!" Natsu exclaimed in shock alongside with Happy, throwing their hands into the air in a dramatic manner.
"This can't be good." Makarov stated seriously before "The last time, the Zangyack didn't seem to care too much about the Gokaiger but now, they are actively going after them. I think that they have started to view Marvelous and his crew as a serious threat to their empire."
"This also means they will start sending more powerful enemies after them." Laxus nodded his head "I have the feeling victories for the Gokaiger are not going to come so easily anymore."
As the yellow ranger fell down inside the crow nest, in the living room the other Gokaiger was also shocked by the sudden occurrence, having difficulty staying on their feet and having to hold onto the furniture to keep themselves from falling flat on their face.
"What is going on?"
"It's a Zangyack spaceship!" Luka yelled as she ran down the stairs, her hand gripping the railing tightly to prevent herself from falling as the ship continued to shake violently.
"What did you say?!" Marvelous asked in surprise, but the captain wasted no time to spring into action, turning the helm hard to drive his ship to the side to avoid a barrage of laser blasts from the Zangyack spaceship.
As the Gokaiger sped away, the Zangyack immediately did the same, pursuing them while firing their cannons repeatedly at their ship. Marvelous soon returned fired with his own armory, but there was only so much that he could do as the Zangyack maintained a perfect distance behind him and his ship to avoid all the incoming fires.
Eventually, the firepower coming from the Zangyack battleship became too much for the Gokai Galleon to handle, and after another series of laser blasts, the red ship was brought down and crashed hard into the ground.
The mage of Fairy Tail looked on worriedly. None of the five rangers looked like they were seriously hurt, but it was their first time seeing the Gokaiger being so soundly defeated in a battle after they had convincingly won the previous two.
Soon, the space pirates, with the exception of Marvelous, emerged from the spaceship, entering a clear area with Doc soon falling onto his knees and exhaling longingly in relief. Ahim was right behind him, looking at the blond worriedly, while Joe and Luka both looked relatively calm as they walked a good distance behind the pink and green rangers with their arms crossing over their chests.
"Oh wow!" Erza exclaimed in amazement as she looked between the Gokaiger and the crash site of the Gokai Galleon behind them. "I mean… aside from Doc just being Doc, I guess they took that fall relatively well. That was hella scary, falling out of the sky and crashing into the ground like that."
"Must not be an unfamiliar experience for them… or at least, for Luka and Joe." Mira replied with a soft giggle, feeling relief that the Gokaiger was alright after that nasty fall.
"Where the hell is Marvelous anyway?" Natsu asked in curiosity. If there was anyone who would be perfectly fine after that fall, it would no doubt be Marvelous, who had his ranger suit on the whole time.
"Man, that came out of nowhere."
"Are you alright?" Ahim asked softly, offering the Doc her hand and pulling him back up on his feet when he took it.
"The Zangyack must be really mad…" Doc stated as he looked at the crashed site "Well, at least the Gokai Galleon seems to be in one piece. Maybe we should just play nice and get out of here before they…"
But Doc never got the chance to finish what he was saying, as several spots on the ground around the group exploded, causing them to duck their heads down and raise their hands to protect their faces. Looking up, Joe was immediately on high alert when he saw a group of Zangyack Gormin soldiers approaching them, being led by a captain whose right side of the body looked like it was covered in red vines.
"This guy looks strong!" Natsu blurted out, making his teammates look at him "I mean… the other two captains look funny, but this one is definitely strong."
"How dare you get in our way!" He asked angrily.
"Get in their way?" Makarov asked, furrowing his eyebrows thoughtfully for a moment before coming to the realization.
"This means the Zangyack were not even going after them. Their goal was never Marvelous and crew, but something else. The Gokaiger was just in their way." Having come to the conclusion herself,
Mira said with her eyes widening slightly, making Makarov look at her and nod his head in confirmation.
"But what are they after? Could it be that they are also after the treasure itself?" Lucy wondered her thought aloud.
"It could be…" Erza said "If it is the greatest treasure in the universe, then without a doubt an empire like the Zangyack would want to have it for themselves, increasing their powers even more so than they are now."
"Or it could be something else entirely." Makarov shook his head and said "I believe we will see soon enough."
"Screw you, you are the one who rammed into us!" Joe scoffed at him, with his crewmates hardening their gazes at the troop of Zangyack soldiers.
"Yeah, we are not the ones picking the fight here!" Luka agreed before Marvelous emerged from his ship, jumping off the hull an impressive distance before landing gracefully near his crew.
"I don't know what this is about, but if you want a fight, you just found it." The captain said as the other Gokaiger brought out their keys and transformation devices, quickly putting on their battle suits before bringing out their weapons.
After shooting the two soldiers standing near the Zangyack captains, Marvelous then led his crew into battle, clashing with the Gormin.
"Yeah! Kick their asses!" Natsu cheered as he and the rest of Fairy Tail watched the Gokaiger fight, being impressed by their skills as always.
The fight went on relatively well for the Gokaiger, with Marvelous and the Joe dominating their opponents as always while making a show of it, with the Gokai blue casually fighting with one hand behind his back.
Ahim and Luka also did well on their own, using the high ground to their advantage, but Doc was soon knocked down on his ass. Although he had no problem pushing back the soldiers who tried to take advantage of him being on the ground with his gun, the captain soon joined the battle and hit him away with a backhand.
Before he could fully get back up on his feet, the captain charged at him and hit his leg with a swipe, knocking the Gokai green backwards. However, as he fell back, his feet shot up and kicked the captain in his face, knocking him into the air before falling down and landing on Doc's feet.
"Oh, that worked out nicely!" The Gokai green blurted out in relief before he bounced the commander up and then kicked him away, sending him stumbling much to the shock and surprise of all those who were watching, including the members of Fairy Tail, several of whom could not control themselves and burst out laughing.
"This guy…" Gray said while shaking his head and trying his best to hold his laughter in.
"To be fair… it works, right?" Makarov asked with an amused grin. "He might not be good at fighting, but he certainly has his own way of holding his own in battle and providing for the crew. That is the most important."
"Certainly, master." Mira agreed with a soft laugh.
Soon, the rest of the Gokaiger gathered themselves around Doc, appearing to have taken care of the rest of the Gormin soldiers, leaving the captain to be the only one left. "Not bad, Doc! Doubt it will catch on, though." Luka said as she skipped forward and pushed the Doc playfully on his shoulder.
"What's that supposed to mean?" The Doc couldn't help but ask, but the other Gokaiger just snorted.
"Fine!" The Zangyack captain shouted angrily as he got back up on his feet "Enough playing around!" With that said, he turned around and extended the silver cord on the left side of his body forward, causing it to enlarge and length until it was able to imbed into the ground.
Fairy Tail grew tense as they watched, realizing that the captain did not do it for no reason.
"This is bad! He's up to something!" Doc said just as the entire area started shaking, with the ground between the Gokaiger and the Zangyack captain emitting an orange glow.
"Now be good and be gone!" The captain exclaimed victoriously, and the ground behind him split up to send out tremendous fire blasts, blowing up everything on their paths, including the Gokaiger themselves.
"What the f…" Natsu murmured in shock, as the rest of Fairy Tail could watch on in horror as the five rangers were swallowed entirely in the generated fire while letting out cries of pain, signifying the fact that they were severely hurt in the process.
"Nah, they will be fine." Gray said, despite the fact that he did not sound too sure himself.
Before anyone could say anything else, an exclamation from the recording stopped them, with the scene turning to that of the Gigant Horse spaceship as it flew in space with a massive fleet of Zangyack battleships.
"How long must I curse their name!" A bird like, white armored alien with glowing blue eyes said in barely contained anger, looking like he was about to explode at any moment "Why!? Why is it always them!?"
"Wait, who the hell is this guy?" Gray asked in surprise.
"This could be the leader of the Zangyack Empire." Makarov answered, making the whole guild widen their eyes while looking at him. "If it runs on a hierarchy system, then this could even be a member of the royal family."
"Heh, I wonder if he's strong." Natsu said excitedly with his fists bursting into flame.
"Calm yourself, prince." Another alien who looked like he was cladded in majestic red and gold armor said, reaching his hand out toward the prince as he tried to calm him down.
"Silence!"
"So he's the prince." Makarov acknowledged with a nod of his head.
"Wait… so if this is the prince, then there got to be a king, right?" Romeo asked, making the other member of Fairy Tail nod their heads to him in agreement. "So… where's the king right now?"
"That… is probably an answer that we will find out as we proceed, Romeo." Makarov answered him. While the prince of the Zangyack Empire was looking like a child throwing tantrum, he had the feeling that the king was not the same.
After all, who had the power and such authority to create an empire that had most of the universe and looked as powerful as the Zangyack?
"We were supposed to ignite all this planet's volcanoes and make these humans suffer!" The prince continued angrily as he walked around the ship until he was stopped by the one eyed, robotic commander, who lowered his head respectfully to him before informing.
"Boss, our warship may have been destroyed… but its force commander, Salamandan, is unharmed."
The female, green cladded commander said with one hand on her own control panel, "According to the report, the plan can continue on schedule if…"
"No, I shan't forgive this!" The prince interrupted with one hand swiping out to the side "Inform him that he is to hunt down those pirates first!"
"Now the Zangyack are onto them for sure." Erza said. "And from the look of it, it seems that they have escaped!"
Mira nodded her head in agreement before she continued, "We can only hope that they will be ready for what is about to come at them."
The scene then changed once again, turning to that of Doc, who was lying unconscious on the ground inside the forest. Although his transformation was gone, the green Gokaiger was unscratched, allowing several members of Fairy Tail to sigh in relief.
"Hey, wake up, Doc!" Marvelous said as he arrived in the scene, causing Doc to start stirring before he started to slowly push himself up, joining Marvelous in looking around and scanning their surroundings. It appeared that in the explosion, they had been knocked away and landed inside the forest that they had flown over earlier.
"Did that explosion fling us this far?" Doc asked as he followed behind his captain.
"Yeah." Marvelous answered as he kept looking cautiously around him.
"I guess you weren't ready for the Zangyack, huh?"
An unfamiliar voice suddenly rang out, causing Marvelous and Doc to turn their heads toward its direction, looking up to see a cloaked figure walking slowly on the cliff above them.
"Who's there?"
Marvelous asked, as the mage of Fairy Tail held their breaths as they focused their attention on the black cloaked figure.
Of all the super sentai that they had seen so far, the Magiranger was without a doubt the one that they were all most excited for, as their powers were magic. To say that they wanted to see how magic worked in another world would be an understatement.
"I'm just a wizard who has lost his magic." The black cloaked figure introduced. Slowly, he lowered his hood down, revealing his face to the Gokaiger and himself to be the same person that had gazed after their ship in the previous recording.
"Wait… a wizard who has lost his magic?" Gray repeated in surprise before widening his eyes in realization "Wait, does that mean…"
"He must have lost his magic, when he sacrificed his power to save his world." Makarov breathed in amazement, causing Fairy Tail to gasp in shock before turning back to look at the Red Magiranger in admiration.
To sacrifice their own magic… it was an unthinkable thing to do, even for them.
"Huh?" The two Gokaigers asked, confused. However, Doc soon took notice of his appearance and remembered Navi's prediction, making him blurt out in surprise after putting the two details together.
"Wait, do you know where the greatest treasure in the universe is?" The green Gokaiger asked as he stepped forward
"Yeah, I know."
"Are you serious?" Marvelous asked, beaming radiantly.
"Yes, I'm serious." The young man said before jumping off the cliff to land in front of the two. "But as you guys are right now, you won't find the treasure."
"What?" Marvelous asked in confusion, furrowing his brows as his gaze turned into a glare toward the red Magiranger.
"You've still yet to tap into the greater part of your super sentai power, after all." The young man answered as he looked away.
"As expected." Laxus said.
"Yeah, having the powers doesn't mean having utter control and mastery over it." Erza nodded her head in agreement as she continued what Laxus had said "I think that Gokaiger has only been using the powers that come with the forms that they change to so far, and not the skills or the experiences, or the fighting styles as well as the natural powers that their predecessors possess."
"So you are saying these guys are not even fighting at full powers?" Natsu asked with a huge grin, his mind registering the information he had just had and come to the conclusion "Cool!"
"I have to agree… them training to fully master their powers will be a cool thing to see." Gray grinned in response.
"I will tell you, if you can catch me. But…" The red Magiranger then said while grinning mysteriously "You are not allowed to transform."
"Ohhh! This is gonna be good!" The mage of Fairy Tail cheered excitedly, looking forward to see a sentai of the past in action despite knowing that he would not be able to transform or use his powers.
With that said, the red Magiranger pulled his hood up to cover his face once again before running off.
Marvelous, who seemed to be up to the challenge, said with a huge grin "Sounds good to me…"
But before he could go anywhere, Doc shot forward and grabbed his shoulder, stopping him with a pleading smile.
"Wait! This could be some kind of Zangyack trap!" The blond reasoned "I think we should look into him, and be sure we know what we are doing before we make any rash decisions…"
"Oh come on, don't be such a killjoy, Doc!" Natsu complained in annoyance, but Erza seemed to have a different idea.
"To be fair, he does have a point. They don't know who the other guy is, unlike us."
"Yeah, it's smart to be cautious." Makarov said with an amused chuckle "Although, I have a feeling that Marvelous got this covered. He might seem reckless most of the time, but he seems to know exactly what he's doing."
"Unlike someone." Gray chuckled, making Natsu scoff and glare at him while the whole guild roar in laughter.
"I see your point." Marvelous nodded his head in understanding before patting Doc on his shoulder, making the blond smile in relief until Marvelous suddenly smiled at himself and then ran off after the cloaked man. "Bye then!"
"AHAHAHAHA!" The mages of Fairy Tail once again roared in laughter, this time at the excitement that the captain of the Gokaiger had on his face as he chased after his target.
"This guy…!" Natsu said as he joined with the rest of the guild, liking Marvelous more and more.
"Wha-! Wait for me!" Doc shouted, following him after calling the other crewmates with his transforming the device. The trio, who was excited that they had found the black cloaked figure and found a hint of the treasure that they had been looking for, promised to meet up with them soon as they faced off against a small group of Gormin soldiers, using their rangers keys to turn into 3 black rangers to fight them more effectively.
As Doc chased after Marvelous and the mysterious young man, who proved himself to be incredibly quick on his feet, seemingly having no problem maneuvering himself on difficult terrains unlike the two Gokaiger, he soon started losing his breath. Fortunately for him, the red magi suddenly came to a stop at clearing and turned around to face them with his arms outstretched out to the side, summoning some kind of massive, fiery and red figure behind him that then flew toward them and created a ring of fire around the two, preventing them from moving onwards.
"HOLY SHIT!" Natsu and Happy cried out dramatically upon seeing the display of the red magiranger's magic. At the same time, the other members of Fairy Tail also could not contain their surprise, gasping visibly and dropping their jaws in utter shock as they gazed at the fiery figure that then flew back to his summoner.
"That is so cool!" Romeo exclaimed in excitement, having never seen anyone who could use fire magic in such a manner before. Being a mage with fire magic himself, the young man was incredibly excited to learn that the leader of a sentai group also had the same magic as him and his idol.
"So he didn't lose all of his powers?" Mira couldn't help but ask as she looked over to Makarov, who was having a thoughtful expression on his face.
"Maybe not all, or maybe he had relearnt his magic." The guild master said, making Mira nod her head to him in understanding before they both turned back to the scene, which had changed into the inside of the ring of fire.
"Guess we're trapped." Marvelous said after studying the ring carefully, sounding and also looking surprisingly calm who was trapped inside a ring of fire that was burning intensely…
… unlike Doc.
"Now what do we do?" Doc asked worriedly, grabbing Marvelous' wrist "There's no way out of here!"
"I have got a plan!" Marvelous answered him after spending a few more seconds looking around. Before Doc could ask what it was, his captain suddenly shrugged his arm off of him and then pushed him back before continuing with a massive grin on his face "We just power our way through!"
"Yeah! Great plan!" Gray snickered as Fairy Tail laughed. Even with his ice magic and a strong resistance to fire, he would not consider 'powering' his way through a ring of fire burning so strongly his top and foremost option.
"N-N-Now just hold on a second!" Doc pleaded as he held Marvelous back with all of his might, making the Captain stop before turning over to look at him "Power isn't really my thing…"
"Yeahhh, we can totally see that." Gray snickered.
"What's gotten you so scared?" Marvelous asked.
"I just can't do this…" Doc said as he looked down "I'm so good at calculating and planning things, but… When I have to act on the spur of the moment, I get so afraid… I just lose my courage."
The mages of Fairy Tail remained silent as they listened to the green Gokaiger's confession, many of whom were even able to see their past-self in him. It reminded them of the fact that even though he had his moments of cowardice, he still fought alongside his crewmates when the situation called for it. Even Natsu had to start seeing the Doc in new light.
Once again, Marvelous nodded his head to Doc in understanding before suddenly shooting his hand to grab the collar of his jacket. "Just believe… in me." with his other hand grabbing the belt of his pants, Marvelous then spun around and threw Doc over his head, tossing him out of the ring of fire before charging out himself.
For a moment, the hall of Fairy Tail was dead silent. No one knew what to say, or to think about what had just happened… each and every single member of the strongest magic guild in Fiore could only stare at the scene before them in shock and amazement, watching as Marvelous helped Doc back on his feet before the two continued to chase after the cloaked young man.
And then, simultaneously, as the scene changed briefly to the fight between the other three Gokaiger against the Zangyack force, they all roared in laughter.
"Way to gooooo, Marvelous! You are awesome!" Natsu cheered, being the loudest of them all with his cat as he rolled on the floor laughing while holding his stomach.
"Well, that was… unexpected." Mira chuckled softly with a small sigh. She had expected the Captain of the Gokaiger to comfort his crewmate, to say something nice and wise to him like how he did in the previous recording with the kid who had stolen his Shinkenger key.
However, it appeared that she had expected too much… not that she had a problem with it. Much like the many other members of Fairy Tail, she had come to somewhat admire the captain of the space pirate group for his leadership and… unorthodox methods.
The chase continued, with Doc trying his best to catch up to Marvelous as he ran after the red magiranger. Eventually, they were taken to a dark cave. As the two Gokaiger stopped for a moment to locate where they were and where their target had run to, Marvelous and Doc widened their eyes in surprise when they heard the sound of something massive destroying its way toward them, and gasped when they saw a gigantic boulder appearing from behind a corner, taking a sharp turn to roll toward them as if someone was controlling it.
"It's gonna catch us!" Doc screamed in fear as he ran off as fast as he could, with Marvelous running closely behind him.
"Interesting idea." Makarov said with a musing smile, making his guild, especially those who had not finished the S-class trial just yet or seen firsthand what kind of challenges that he had in store for them at Tenrou island, look at him on high alert.
"You don't think he's gonna add the rolling boulder in a narrowed cave as a challenge in the upcoming promotion test, do you?" Lucy asked Levy with a forced smile, and the solid script mage could only laugh nervously in response.
"Heh, bring it on!" Natsu, obviously, was the only one excited to face such a challenge.
"Stop!" Marvelous shouted as he grabbed Doc, stopping him from running. "We've just gotta dive right into it!"
"Wait, what? Dive?" was the only thing that Doc could ask before Marvelous brought out his sword and threw it down, letting it stab diagonally into the ground before throwing himself and Doc down as close to the sword as possible. As the boulder continued to travel toward them, it then hit the sword and changed direction, rolling over their heads before landing behind them to continue going to the end of the tunnel.
"Well, that is one way to do it!" Lucy said as several cheers went off for the two Gokaiger, but of course mostly to Marvelous while Doc just sat on the ground and held his head in fear, obviously not wanting to chase anymore.
Back to the battle the other three Gokaiger were fighting, it appeared that the trio was losing against Salamandan, who squatted Luka away with a casual backhand. The other two then grouped up around her, and together they changed into other sentai forms that were all white in color. The new powers allowed them to regain the upper hand against the Force Commander, who then retreated by spinning around and drilling into the ground.
"Oi! Stay and fight, you coward!" Natsu shouted tauntingly.
"Oh well, at least we know that the other three are doing fine on their own." Lucy said with a soft laugh, making many members of Fairy nod their heads to her in agreement.
The scene then changed once again, with Marvelous and Doc finishing chasing the cloaked young man to a cliff near the ocean.
"We have got you now!"
"True." The red Magiranger said amusedly before stepping forward, revealing that he was standing on a different cliff that was a good distance away from the one that Marvelous and Doc was standing on "But you've still got to get over here first."
"Don't tell me he's gonna jump now." Gray said with a deadpan expression "How did that guy even get over there to begin with? That is quite a distance for human."
"From what we have seen so far, I have a feeling that it is exactly what Marvelous is gonna do." Mira replied to him while giggling in amusement.
"Piece of cake, right?" Marvelous asked his crewmate, who widened his eyes in fear before peaking down, which made him even more worried than before. "The gap between us and him are about fifteen meters, which is more than doable."
He said, and with a smirk, Marvelous back off from the cliff, gaining some distance before immediately charging forward.
"Holy hell, I have seen all kinds of recklessness, but does this guy even have fear?"
One of the older members of Fairy Tail asked in shock as they all sat up and watched as Marvelous took a gigantic leap over to the other cliff, the momentum he had gained propelling him several feet into the air before gravity dragging him back down about halfway through. He would have made it, if it were not for Salamandan, who busted out from the ground and grabbed Marvelous in midair.
"Oh shit!" The sudden turn of event caused the members of Fairy Tail to audibly gasp in surprise and wariness, but Marvelous did not have much problem handling the situation, using his sword to hit the alien commander away before stabbing it into the cliff to stop himself from falling down, leaving Salamandan to continue falling down and hitting the ocean with a giant splash.
"Phew, that was so close!" Levy said as she and many members breathed out a sigh of relief.
"You think that will be the end of that guy?" Jet asked.
"Highly doubt it." Gajeel scoffed in a low tone, with Lily nodding his head in agreement.
"Marvelous!" Doc shouted as he got up and looked at his captain, his hand holding the large rock next to him to stop himself from being dragged over the cliff by the strong wind.
"I'm fine! Just hurry up and catch him already, will you?!" Marvelous said as he held onto his sword.
"What!? You want me to-"
"Just do like I did and you will be fine." The captain interrupted him in annoyance as he looked up at the cloaked young man, who was watching them closely in interest.
"Easier said than done, Marvelous." Makarov said with an amused chuckle, however, he could see what the Captain of the Gokaiger was trying to do.
"I can't do it…" The green Gokaiger said weakly as he looked down at his feet "I just don't have your courage."
"Then find it!" Marvelous replied "This is for the greatest treasure in the universe!"
Doc looked back hesitantly, and lost all of his will when he looked down once again and saw the waves of ocean down below as they crashed violently against the rocks, which would certainly kill him if he looked down. When he looked back up at Marvelous, his eyes then widened when he noticed a spot above his captain started to crack, realizing that a boulder would certainly hit his captain when it broke out and hit him.
"Marvelous!"
Without even a moment of hesitation, Doc rushed away and quickly located a bamboo tree, using his sword to cut it before picking it up to run as quickly as he could back toward the edge. With a cry, the blond used the tree as a pole vault and launched himself over the edge, which gave him the angle to fire several shots at the falling boulder directly above Marvelous, destroying it before it could hit his captain.
"YEAH!"
"Way to go, Doc!" Natsu cheered along with the rest of Fairy Tail, but their moment was cut short and everyone became quite when they saw that the green Gokaiger did not make it to the other side and fall down. Fortunately for him, the red Magiranger shot forward and grabbed his wrist, saving him from a deadly fall much to the relief of those who were watching.
"You guys are pretty bad pirate, you know?" He asked with a chuckle before he began to slowly pull Doc up, patting him on his back once he had safely stood next to him "Find your courage not to pursue treasure, but for a friend in danger… I was right to test you."
"Eh?"
"Courage… that was the true power of those who used magic, the Magiranger."
"Woahh…" The mage of Fairy Tail gasped in amazement, knowing that the words that Magi red had just said held true in a manner even to them. Makarov, meanwhile, smiled as he looked around. It seemed that Magi Red did not just give Marvelous and Doc a test, but he had also given his guild an invaluable lesson about courage and magic.
"Now that you have found your courage, you can now draw out the immense power of the Magiranger." Magi Red finished with a nod of his head.
"Courage… becomes power…?" The Doc asked in confusion, but Magi Red just nod at him with a grin before he continued.
"Anyway, I will keep my promise, I will tell you about the treasure." He said, leading the Doc away from the cliff "If you can tap into the entirety of the power wielded by the thirty four super sentai… then you will find the greatest treasure in the universe."
"I see… interesting…" Makarov said with a small smile while rubbing his chin a thoughtful manner while the other members of Fairy Tail just look on in amazement and excitement for the treasure. With that piece of information alone, and the test of courage that Magi Red had just given the two Gokaiger to help them tap into the true potential of his old sentai power with their courage, the source of his magic, he could already vaguely guest what the treasure was going to be, and the journey the Gokaiger would have to overcome to obtain it.
"Keep you waiting, huh?"
Before Doc could ask him anything else, Marvelous' voice caused him to stop and turn around to look at his Captain. Feeling relief that he was okay, the Green Gokaiger then turned back, but gasped in surprise when the red Magiranger had already disappeared as if he was never there, leaving the two to stand by themselves on the cliff looking at the ocean before them.
"Doc!"
"Captain!"
"Soon, the other three Gokaiger arrived and joined them, looking around the two as if they were expecting them to have caught the man in the black cloak. Before Doc could start telling them about the test that they had had to do, Salamandan revealed himself to be still alive and arrived before the five with an angry snarl.
"You sure are a pain."
"I mean, he's not wrong there." Gray said with a snort "This guy is like a cockroach!"
"Alright! Enough chit chatting! Kick his ass, Gokaiger!" Natsu cheered, and watched alongside his guildmates as Marvelous and Doc transformed to join their other crewmates in an all-out, five man assault on Salamandan, who was knocked around until he decided to summon his minions to his side, three armor cladded captains who came to aid him in battle.
However, even with them, the Force Commander of the Zangyack Empire proved himself to be no match against the Gokaiger, whose skills in combat were superior to his. Deciding to use his trump card once again, the captain inserted his cord into the ground and sent out another explosion, but the Gokaiger was much more prepared this time and dodged to the side to avoid being hit directly by the resulting blast.
"Nice!" The mages of Fairy Tail cheered when they saw that their battle suits were still intact, and the Gokaiger was able to quickly get up to bring out their Mahou Sentai Magiranger keys.
With a shout of Gokai Change, the five switched their forms and turned into that of their magic predecessors. Bringing out the sentai's signature transforming device, the pirates casted a spell that sent out a large glowing rope that wrapped around the body of the Force Captain, keeping him immobilized, preventing him from using his signature explosion technique and leaving him vulnerable to their magical attacks.
"Such wonderous magic." Makarov said with a warm smile as his whole guild erupted in cheers and shouts with each and every spell that the Gokaiger casted in their Magiranger forms. From what they could all see, each member of the Magiranger wielded a specific element within their magic, with the Magi Yellow being lightning, Magi Green being nature, Magi Pink being winds, and Magi blue being water.
And from the look of it, each spell that they casted was also incredibly powerful.
"Let's finish him off!"
"Okay!" Everyone agreed to Doc's suggestion, changing back to their Gokaiger forms and inserting their keys into the slot on their guns.
"Gokai Blast." Marvelous said calmly, before he and his crew fired their weapons at Salamandan, destroying him in an explosion that was far greater than that he could produce.
"Well, that was easy." Erza said as Fairy Tail cheered and clapped their hands for another victory that the Gokaiger was able to achieve "He isn't really that powerful if they take away his ability to use that explosion technique of his."
"True… but why do I have the feeling it's not over just yet?" Makarov said, and just as he said that, a giant beam descended from the sky and enlarged Salamandan along with his three captains to a tremendous size. "Just as I thought."
"It seems this will be a trend for them from now on. The Zangyack is not gonna let the fight really end until their soldiers are nothing left." Laxus said as the Gokaiger summoned their ships, which then combined itself into Gokai-Oh.
As the Gokaiger prepared to engage their enemies in a combat, Salamandan suddenly shouted as his three captains stepped forward "Sgomin! Show them your new functionality!" With that, the three Sgormin transformed into spaceships, which flew over Gokai-Oh and bombarded them with laser beams.
"That doesn't look good." Gray said. Although Gokai-Oh was unscratched after the bombardment, there was no way that they could hit something that was moving so fast in the air.
"I have no idea that they could do that now." Ahim said as Marvelous braced their giant mech against another assault, but then suddenly something that was flickering a rainbow glow flew out of their pockets and landed in their hands, revealing themselves to be the Magiranger keys.
"Oh! Is this gonna be a new powerup?" Natsu asked with barely contained excitement as he and the rest of Fairy Tail watched the Gokaiger inserted their keys into their respective helms, causing their Gattai to start glowing brightly.
"So this is the power that Magi Red has said." Makarov said as the body of Gokai-oh opened up to reveal dragon wings, claws and head from its chest, shoulders and legs, causing the dragon slayers of the guild to look at it in amazement, with Natsu being the one who cheered the loudest.
"MAGIGOKAIOH, READY!" With that said, MagiGokaiOh then took off into the air, using the winds on their shoulders to fly and engage the three spaceships Sgormin in areal combat, maneuvering through the air at blinding speed.
"Take them on, MagiDragon!" Doc said and pressed a button on his helm, causing the MagiGokaiOh to release the MagiDragon from its body.
The dragon then flew at an even greater speed than that of the Gokai-Oh, taking out all three Sgormin enemies in quick succession before descending down to cast the a spell around Salamandan, with the dragon flying around the Force Commander to create three magic circles bearing the symbols of the Magiranger to bind him.
Once that Salamandan had become completely immobilized, MagiDragon then returned Gokai-Oh, as the magic circles around Salamandan glowed brightly, engulfing him in a column of rainbow colored magical energy that resulted in an explosion, destroying Salamandan one final time for good.
"YEAHHH!" Fairy Tail erupted once again in cheers and cries of excitement.
"Amazing! So this is the immense power of the Magiranger…" Doc said in amazement as he held up his own green Magiranger key, his voice bearing a newfound admiration for his predecessors.
Back on the ground, Magi Red stood watching the fight with a smile on his face. The red, fiery figure that he had summoned earlier then flew up to float beside him, making the young man look at him in appreciation before saying.
"Fagel… thank you for helping me out!" He said, and the figure, Fagel, bowed his head to him respectfully before flying away, disappearing into the clouds above "The power is probably better off in their hands, for now."
"For now indeed." Makarov said with a smile.
"Wait, does that mean that they can take it away if they want to?" Natsu couldn't help but ask.
"I mean… if they can give it, then for sure they can take it back. A random kid in the previous recording was able to transform with a key and the transformation device, remember?" Erza reminded him, making Natsu nod his head in understanding.
"We can only hope that it will not come to that, and in time, the Gokaiger will prove themselves worthy of wielding the powers of their predecessors." Makarov said with a smile.
Before anyone could say anything else, the same distortion in space that Tsukasa had walked into and disappeared suddenly materialized beside them, causing many members of Fairy Tail to leave their seats and stare in wonder and expectation. The person who stepped out of it wearing a familiar black cloak with a hood that concealed his face, however, was not someone that they had expected, but did not have any trouble recognizing.
"How do you do, Fairy Tail?" The person asked, before smiling radiantly before pulling back his hood to show his face to Fairy Tail, revealing himself to be none other than Magi Red, Kai Ozu.
