Now story time.

It was a sunny afternoon at Amber Beach, nothing unusual had happened yet. But was it about to change as Henry comes running into the Dino Café, holding his phone high in the air.

"No running in the museum." Kendall said as she walked past him.

"Oh, Kendall. This isn't running for me." Henry said with a smirk, "We both know if I was actually running, you wouldn't know."

"It's Ms. Morgan." Kendall said but he ignored her.

Looking for the Rangers, each one doing their job at the Café, he said, "Guys, meeting room in ten minutes." Henry said gesturing to his watch, "Don't be late."

Taking a quick trip to the bathroom, Chase walked into the meeting room, where Kendall and the other Rangers save Henry where already present. It seems none of them knew either why Henry had called them there. It couldn't have been Ranger business, since they would usually do that down in the Command Lab.

"What's going on?" Chase said, being startled when Henry suddenly appeared behind him.

At the exact ten minute mark, Henry comes in, his phone still in one hand as he closes the door behind him.

"I missed you guys." Henry said placing a hand on Chase's shoulder before gesturing to an open chair, "Just wanted to see your smiling faces."

Taking one of the seats, Henry closed the door before turning serious. "And truth be told, I thought we where a little overdue on a little heart-to-heart." Henry said as he began to walk slowly around the table, "A rap session, maybe a little tough love."

"What's that suppose to mean?" Riley said.

"It means that lately, some of you have been, eh, a little out of sorts. Erratic. Unreliable. Downright sloppy." Henry said as he continued to walk while pointing to one of the Rangers, "Not you, Koda. You've been great."

Koda gave a big smile as he gave a thumbs up.

"But the rest of you." Henry said shaking his head while making clicking noises with his tongue as he came to a stop at the head of the table, "It's fair to say that I am disappointed. Got to keep your eye on the ball guys."

He placed his phone down before he placed both hands on the table, "So I want each of you, to cancel your plans for Friday three weeks from now." Henry said, "If you had any plans, anyway. Because I know some of you, not going to state any named, don't have much of a life outside of this museum."

"...I feel that last one was a dig aimed at me." Kendall said annoyed.

"Because it is!" Koda said and Henry nodded at him, "What's so important?"

"Shelby." Henry said as he slid his phone over to her, "Do the honors."

"Uhm..." Shelby said as she picked it up, "Your screen went back on lock."

"Oh, shit." Henry said, taking it from her before unlocking it, "There you go." as he handed it back.

"No way." Shelby said amazed once she looked at the screen, "You got tickets for the midnight premier for 'Arabian Knight 2: The Dark Realm'!? But that has been sold out for months."

"Well, I know guy, who knows a guy, who's friends with the girl who lives next to the uncle of... Anyways, I got enough for tickets for everyone. Thought we deserved something nice." Henry said as he took his phone back, "On to the next thing on the agenda. We all know summer is coming to an end, I know very sad. Not that it's a problem, we live in California, it's always nice weather. So I was planning on a end of summer barbecue at my place."

"At your place?" Shelby said confused, "Thought you didn't had a backyard."

"I don't, got a kickass balcony though." Henry said, pointing at Chase who had his hand raised, "Yes, Chase?"

"Can you make some of your curry?" Chase said noticing the looks he got, "I know, not really barbecue food, but Henry's is great."

"Oh yeah." Tyler said with a smile, "Can we?"

"You two want my curry, you'll get my curry." Henry said, "Anything for my people."

"When did you even eat his food?" Riley said.

"A week ago, when we where watching the game in his office." Tyler said casually, "The food was very good."

"It actually tasted better because the spices had extra time to marinade into the meat." Henry said offendedly, "So can I take that as a yes, to the barbecue."

"Hold up." Shelby said, "What about some of us being erratic, unreliable or downright sloppy?"

"That was just me messing with you." Henry said with a smirk just as he got a call, "Hold on a second."

He picked it up, listening to the caller as he nodded his head. "I'll be right there. Yeah, Kendall is here too, I'll inform her." he said before hanging up, "Okay, there might be a possibility that we're getting robbed. Either that or Zandar has come to take back their treasures."

Rushing down to the exhibit hall, there where indeed men in black suits and sunglasses busy putting the treasures of Zandar into suitcases.

A rather pompous if handsome looking man in a graphite gray suit, though Henry had to admit he had rather nice looking hair, was overlooking the entire thing.

"Excuse me." Kendall said drawing the attention of the man, "I'm the museum director, just what do you think you're doing?"

"I'm taking what belongs to me." the man told her.

"That's impossible." Riley said, "These belong to the Royal Family... Oh." before realization set in.

"Hey..." Henry said suddenly, "Don't I know you?"

"Starting to get the picture are we? Allow me to introduce myself." the man said, "I am Prince Phillip III of Zandar, the real prince unlike the imposters that have been masquerading around here."

As he removed a magazine the a photo on the cover of Tyler and Shelby in their royal disguise, something Phillip noticed as well, "Wait a moment, this is you two isn't it." Prince Phillip said, "It was a wonder anyone mistook you for a prince... Though the speech was decent."

"We mean no..." Koda said, "Disrespect."

"And what would you know about respect?" Phillip scoffed as he looked at the man in blue, "You look filthy, you're shoeless. Were you born in a cave?"

"No, on Mammoth hunt." Koda said quite cheerfully, "Mother could not make it home to cave."

Phillip let out a disgusted noise before he went to personally retrieve the Gold Energem before he left with his entourage carrying the treasures with them in metal suitcases.

"I know he shares the same name as that coin I found, but that can't be it." Henry said as he tried his best to remember, "Seriously. Where do I know him from?"

"Guys." Kendall said suddenly, holding up her communicator to show that several objects entered Earth's atmosphere.

"Well, that's not good." Tyler said.

And what Tyler had said was true, as the moment they arrived at the signal the limo with the crest of Zandar was crashed in a ditch and the black convoy car's where destroyed. Vivix where beating down on Zandar's security force while Fury had pinned Phillip against the car. He was forced to hand over the Gold Energem.

"Finally!" Fury roared in triumph, "After 800 years, the gold Energem is mine!"

"800 years?..." Phillip said surprised, "So you're the monster that attacked Prince Colin 800 years ago."

"Yes, that prince survived." Fury said, raising his blade, "But you won't."

Fortunately before the blade could hit the defenseless prince, Koda managed to tackle Fury to the ground in time. Unmorphed the Ranger's joined in to fight off the Vivix, while Koda evade under Fury's sword before hitting a mighty punch to his chest.

"Koda! Get the prince out of here." Henry said as he slid over the ground, knocking Fury off his feet, "I'll cover you."

"Come!" Koda said dragging the prince with him, "Fury after you."

"I'm at a loss for words..." Phillip said as Koda dragged him into the tree line and away from the battle, "After how I treated you. Why would you risk your life."

"Everyone has good on inside." Koda said, "Even mean prince, like you!"

"...I suppose I deserve that." Phillip admitted.

With no onlookers, Henry smirked at Fury, "Time for a showdown." he said, taking out his morpher, "It's Morphing Time."

Yellow Ranger charged forward as Fury let out a roar of anger and began to attack with his sword with heavy over-handed strikes. But the Yellow Ranger managed to evade just in time, before he evaded by leaping backwards, blasting him with his Dino Blaster.

Yellow Ranger blitzed around Fury, blasting him with a rapid shots from his blaster before he entered Dino Steel mode, knocking Fury off his feet with a powerful blast from the Draco Gun.

"You know, sometimes I wish I had two Draco Gun's, or two blasters." Yellow Ranger said aiming the gun at the downed Fury, "But I can't have it, like you can't have the Gold Energem. So give it to me."

"Never!" Fury shouted, "The Energem is mine!"

The alien roared in pain as energy was drained from the gold Energem into his body, the golden light erupted from Fury's chest. The alien struggled to remain in control, as more and more of the energy escaped from his body as it began to take the shape of a human.

With the help from the Energem, the figure managed to manifest a whole body outside of Fury, keeping only a cord of energy to connect them.

"Let's see if this works." Yellow Ranger said, placing a new Charger in his Draco Gun, when he pulled the trigger it admitted a curved blade made out of yellow energy.

The Yellow Ranger blitzed forward, blade high and with a single stroke as he brought it down, he managed to break the cord connecting Fury with the being, causing a explosion to erupt that not only send him flying, but Fury and the other Rangers who had been fighting nearby as well.

Henry landed painfully on his back, really feeling that he wasn't Morphed anymore.

"Dad?"

He sat up to see that a hopeful Tyler was rushing over to what was once the energy being, now restored to his human form. But when the man turned around, Tyler was disappointed that it wasn't his dad, "Who are you?" he said as they all get back up on their feet.

The man looked around confused for a moment before introducing himself, "I am Sir Ivan, knight of Zandar."

The Rangers where surprised, but Ivan had already turned around to face fury, who was getting back on his feet.

"Leave these beast to me." Ivan said as he Morphed into the Gold Dino Charger Ranger, "I have a score to settle."

But Fury send a group of Vivix on him, before quickly making his escape.

Gold Ranger summoned his Ptera Saber, he then slashed at the Vivix making short work of them, before engaging with a Spikeballs, who attempted to strike him with a club.

The Gold Ranger went on the offence, clashing with the Spikeball. Trading a flurry of sword play before skillfully cutting at the Spikeball's legs, forcing the alien to fall on the knees before with one final strike, making it erupt in a fiery explosion.

With the battle won, the Gold Ranger demorphed into his regular human form, the other Rangers approached him.

"Sir Ivan, hi I'm Shelby." she said with a friendly wave, "Welcome to our century."

"You will like it here." Koda said, patting him on the shoulder, "I show you burgers!"

But Ivan suddenly took a knee and bowed his head low, which was because they where approached by Phillip, who had seen everything. "Sire, I am at your service." Ivan said, before holding the gold Energem up, "This belongs to the Royal Family."

"Do you..." Phillip said taking the Energem, "Do you know me?"

"I know the Royal Blood of Zandar when I see it." Ivan said, "I've spent my entire life faithfully protecting your family."

"So you truly are Sir Ivan, the Knight of Zandar." Phillip said as he gestured for the knight to rise, "And the monster did not destroy you?"

"No, he captured me." Ivan explained as he rose to his feet, "Only when aided by the power of that stone and with some help with the man in yellow could I finally escape it."

"It's... Not just a stone." Shelby said as the Rangers showed their own, "It's an Energem."

"They contain more power then you can ever imagine." Riley explained, "Millions of years ago, 12 Energem's were lost, we found six so far. The stone of Zandar is the seventh."

"I see... Then the Energem is yours." Phillip said handing it back to Ivan, "To use as you will."

"Trust that I will use it to make the kingdom proud." Ivan declared.

The prince nodded before turning to Koda, "I'm humbled by your bravery and courage." he said patting Koda on the shoulder.

"Wait... I do know you!" Henry said suddenly with his phone in hand, "Yeah, spring break, a few years back. We partied hard together, you knew that guy who could score that kick ass pills. We destroyed a tram together, and let's not forget when we went to that Borde..."

"I-I have no recollection of that." Phillip cut him off, denying it a bit too quickly.

"Yeah..." Henry said with a knowing nod, "I have trouble remembering that vacation too."

But luckily for the prince, a new limousine had pulled up, "May you discover the remaining four Energem's safely." he said before taking his leave.

With the prince gone, they turned around to Ivan but the knight was already walking away.

"Hey, where are you going?" Riley said.

"I have been captive for 800 years." Ivan said with a relieved look in his eyes, "It matters not what path I take, so long as it is the path that I have chosen."

"Well, enjoy your freedom." Henry said, handing him a card, "If you need a place to stay, come to this place and ask for Kendall Morgan."

The knight accepted the card, stuffing it in his armor before he walked off, leaving them watching him go.

"So Henry." Chase said after a while, "What made you think you partied with Prince Phillip?"

"Because of this old photo." Henry said, holding up his phone as he looked in the direction Ivan went.

"Uhm... Henry." Shelby said as she look at his phone, "Your screen went back on lock."

"Oh, shit." Henry said, quickly unlocking it to show him an old picture of him and Phillip from a few years ago.

It had been a few day since the reemergence of Ivan, who was now in the Command Lab as Kendall and the other Ranger's where explaining how everything worked. But Tyler sat disappointed at the nearby table, writing something in his journal.

"Hey T." Henry said, taking the seat next to him carrying a pizza box, "What your doing?"

"Nothing, just writing some thoughts down." Tyler said, closing his journal, "What's up?"

"I've got this theory, and I want your opinion on it." Henry said, opening the box and taking a slice of pizza from the box before taking a bite, "So we know for a fact that Fury has been looking for the Energems since at least 800 years. We also know that the Ankylozord is awake and that the Aqua Energem has bonded to someone."

Tyler nodded as Henry continued to tell his theory while eating his pizza, "Fury had shown up at your dad's last dig site, right? Or at least something looking like Fury... See where I'm going with this?"

"You mean..." Tyler said, seeing where he was coming from, "My dad might have found the Aqua Energem and bonded with it?"

"That's the theory, a game... No, I'm not finishing that." he said as he finished his pizza, "So what do you think?"

"It would be a nice thought but..." Tyler said with a sigh, "Why wouldn't he have contacted me? Letting me know he's okay?"

"That's something I don't know." Henry said, closing the box before throwing it like a frissbee right into a trashcan, "But we will find out once we find him."

Tyler gave a nod as the two looked at Ivan, who looked Ivan who was amazed at the technology they had now.

"You know, Ivan is over 800 years old." Tyler said, "How come he speaks modern English?"

"Well, the Morphing Grid reaches beyond time and space. It's possible it gave him the information to speak and understand modern English, or maybe he was aware of the outside world while trapped in Fury... Which isn't the most comforting thought." Henry theorized, "I'm just wondering why he is so nice? If that's the word. Medieval people weren't know for being open minded."

"Ah!" Ivan suddenly shouted as his Energem was whisked out of his hand and floated between the white crystals, "Witchcraft!"

"More what you had expected?" Tyler said.

"No, I already knew that." Henry said with a chuckle, "You should have seen his reaction when I did remove finger trick, hilarious! He's now convinced that I am a witch."

"Well, it was a thoroughly entertaining afternoon." Ivan said, clenching the Energem in his fist, "Perhaps we'll see each other again soon." before he turned to leave.

"Whoa, wait. Where are you going?" Riley said surprised, "You're part of our team now."

"But I have not joined your team. I'm a knight of Zandar, when I pledge my loyalty, it is for life." Ivan pointed out, "I'm sorry, I cannot make such a decision so hastily."

"It's alright, Ivan." Henry said with a wave, "If you change your mind, you know where we hang out."

"Thank you, witch." Ivan said with a nod before turning around and leaving the Command Lab.

"What decision? He doesn't have a choice." Shelby said confused, "He is the Gold Ranger... It doesn't make sense."

"It actually does, from a historical point." Henry said as he was drinking a soda from a cup, noticing them all looking at him.

"Well he is from an era where allegiance to a feudal lord was prime, and as a knight, he'd be bound to Zandar's cause foremost. Asking to join the team isn't just a matter of adding an extra curricular like it for most of us." Henry explained, "And unlike Koda, Zandar is very much still existent in the modern era, so there would naturally be some conflicting loyalties."

It had been another few days since then, and it had been rather quiet around Amber Beach. Aside from the sightings of Ivan, who was acting like a a knight errant, helping people out with their problems. One afternoon, Henry stepped out of the elevator and into the Command Lab, phone in hand.

"Hey Shelby, got your text." Henry called out, "Hope it doesn't take too long, because Tyler, Chase, Koda and Riley should be right back with lunch. So what is the problem..."

But it was anwsered when Koda came running out his cave, wielding a large stick as he screamed in fright, "Mouse!"

Tyler, Chase and Riley jumped back in fright as the four of them panicked as they spotted a tiny little white mouse. The four of them panicked, trying to find a spot higher up in the lab where the small rodent couldn't find them.

"...Okay." Henry said slowly as he joined Shelby and Kendall at her console, "What's going on?"

Shelby explained they had gone to get lunch, where Shelby had ran into Ivan. While she was trying to pursuade him to join them, the guys where attacked by a alien. From what Shelby gathered, it was one called Bones who could reach into your back and remove your back bone, taking your courage.

"Maybe he can give Kendall a funny bone?" Henry said as he leaned against the table, "Too soon?"

"Morgenstern, this is serious." Kendall told him, "If one of Sledge's monsters attack, its only going to be you and Shelby."

An alarm went of at the holographic table, which displayed a map of the city. It seemed Bones was back with some back up. Another dot appeared on the map, representing Ivan was approaching the location of the monster.

"He's going to need some help." Shelby said.

"Sure, let's go." Henry said as he headed to the elevator with Shelby, "Wait... So no lunch?"

"No." Shelby said, much to his disappointment, "Fine. I'll take you to McDonalds on the way back."

Henry let out a happy cheer at that as the two where off.

In an open field, Ivan had taken on Bones and an army of Vivix before becoming overwhelmed by sheer numbers. Being held down a two Vivix, he was forced on his knees as Bones moved behind to remove his backbone.

The alien was about to reach down, only to be met with a white gloved fist to the face, sending him flying into a group of Vivix.

Yellow Ranger begins his beatdown on Bones with a barrage of punches before flinging him through the field. Pink Ranger comes flying in while riding her Dino Cycle, blasting a group of Vivix as she went.

Preforming a backward flip, the Dino Cycle split in two, driving on one wheel as they continue to blast Vivix. Pink Ranger landed in the middle of a group of Vivix, and immediatly began to fight off the aliens.

Angered, Bones charged at the Yellow Ranger, gripping him around the middle as he lifted him from the ground and plowing him through several Vivix before pinning him into the side of the hill, causing earth and dirt to rain down on them.

Yellow Ranger managed to kick Bones off him, he builds up momentum before closing the distance on the alien. Once he did he unleashed a furious volley of punches upon Bones. With only his arms to shield himself.

Pink Ranger used her Dino Saber against the Vivix, until one of the Spikeball comes charging over and brings it club down, forcing her to block it. She struggles to defend as Ivan now Morphed leaps up in the air, kicking the Spikeball straight in the jaw, sending it crashing along the ground.

"Ivan!" Pink Ranger said surprised.

"M'lady, I wish to apologise." Gold Ranger said, "I was too hasty to judge you and the other Rangers."

"It's alright." Pink Ranger said, "We'll be happy for the help."

Yellow Ranger was flung through the air by Bones towards Pink and Gold Ranger, he rolled over the floor and came to a stop just at their feet.

"Henry." Pink Ranger said as she and the other Ranger seized an arm and helped him back to his feet, "You alright?"

"Indeed." Gold Ranger said, "You look tired, witch."

"Not tired... Just hungry." Yellow Ranger said, "Let's finish this."

Bones charged at them, Yellow Ranger blitzed forward transforming into Dino Steel mode, he slid between Bones legs. Right when he was under him, he launched him into the air with a powerful blast from his Draco Gun.

Gold Ranger jumped up, using the Ptera Saber, delivering six sword slashes at it before it was send back to the ground with a strike from Pink Ranger's Tricera Drill. The Ranger's landed on the ground next to each other, Pink added her Tricera Drill on the Draco Gun, forming a short of muzzle around the barrel of the gun.

"Dino Victory Charge!" Yellow and Pink said as the Draco Gun fired a bolt of yellow and pink energy that drilled into Bones.

Gold Ranger send a wave of energy from his sword as he swung it upwards. When the energy of gold came into contact with the yellow and pink, where it exploded upon impact.

The trio of Ranger's turned away as the alien erupted in a fiery orange explosion. At the end of the day, the Rangers had gathered at the Penguin Sniper lounge, this time with Ivan in tow. The destruction of Bones had resulted in their backbones being restored, giving the guys back their courage.

The Rangers where standing at a table, this time they were doing a game of billiards, while they introduced Ivan to the modern age. Henry was leaning against the table, aiming his cue at an odd angle. With a strike, the white ball skipped over Riley's, touching his own as it knocked it into one of the pockets.

"Okay, that was amazing." Riley said impressed, "How did you do that?"

"Witchcraft, obviously." Ivan said wisely, "When did you made your deal with the Devil?"

"During my trip to Los Angeles." Henry said dryly, "She owns a night club there called 'Morning Star'."

"Hold on." Shelby said with a laugh, "The Devil is a chick?"

"She felt like one at least... One with long platinum blonde hair, perfect hips, a nice beautiful behind and a perfect set of tits. She could ride me for hours." Henry said with a laugh before taking a drink, "Or she thought she was the Devil. Who knows?"

A waitress came over and brought them their order. Ivan looked confused at his plate, which contained a simple cheeseburger.

"Go on." Koda said with his big smile, "Try."

"It's a American specialty." Henry said as their new teammate took a bite, "You see, the added piece of dairy is what makes it truly American."

Chewing the food, Ivan eyes widen as he really enjoyed the food.

"Want to get fries?" Koda said and the knight nodded.

"Coming right up." Henry said, putting the order in his phone.

"As I said, a knight's loyalty is forever." Ivan said once he swallowed the bite of meat, bread, sauce, cheese and toppings, "I am honored to be part of your team.", before he continued to eat his burger.
