In Kourin's restaurant, Kyoshiro enjoyed a bowl of noodles accompanied by Yukina who couldn't take her eyes off the cyborg's arms. She couldn't help but be absorbed with joy by the complexity of the mechanical limbs.
"You seriously have to stop that, it's creepy and weird." Said Kyoshiro.
"How can I stop? It's so much more advanced than Phoenix could create. Do you still have the sense of touch in your arms?" Asked Yukina.
"In these prostheses yes, after all I wouldn't know how to grab things without breaking them." Kyoshiro continued to eat when all of a sudden Yukina threw the boiling soup of her noodles on the arm of the cyborg who held it in pain. "Are you crazy?! I told you I can still feel my arms!" Said Kyoshiro annoyed.
"I didn't think that pain counted too." Said Yukina innocently.
"Of course it counts pain! I swear that if you weren't so good at mechanics, I would have been finished with you!" Said Kyoshiro before getting up to go to the bathroom.
Kourin, who had been watching the scene, could only laugh at what Yukina had done. "You're really a kid sometimes."
"I don't know what you're talking about." Said Yukina innocently while eating her noodles.
"Anyway, have you heard what the Phoenix soldiers are doing right now?" Asked Kourin.
"No, what are they doing?" Questioned Yukina.
"They've started searching the area for the resistance headquarters." Said Kourin. "The worst thing is that they brought forward the monthly meeting because of a powerful Cyborg. No idea who he is but I say bravo to him."
*Bang*
Surprising the duo, Kyoshiro tapped on the counter with a crooked smile. "What did you just say?"
"That the soldiers have begun to search for the resistance headquarters?" Kourin asked.
"No I'm talking about the meeting!" Said Kyoshiro.
"Oh that! Yeah, according to my informants the leader of Phoenix and his lieutenants will be arriving today for their meeting, that would be because of a cyborg who beat two squads and a general by himself." Said Kourin.
"Where will it happen?" Kyoshiro asked.
"At their headquarters like every month." Answered Kourin.
"That's perfect... absolutely perfect!" Kyoshiro put some money on the counter before running at full speed.
"Oh hey! Wait for me!" Yukina finished her dish at full speed before chasing after Kyoshiro as fast as she could.
In the scrapyard shed, Kyoshiro was preparing a bag filled with the prosthetics he had made with Yukina as the young woman had just entered the shed, tired.
"So... I'm... I'm completely surprised that you can run so fast!" Said Yukina.
"Get ready kid! Today is the day Phoenix will die at my hands!" Said Kyoshiro.
"Are you going to go like that? Without any plan?!" Asked Yukina surprised.
"Why have a plan when I can go and smash them directly using what they stole from me!" Said Kyoshiro.
"You're probably going to get shot just by arriving!" Said Yukina.
"Absolutely not! Knowing my brother, he'll probably roll out the red carpet for me with his cyborg... and I'll have fun breaking them like a child with his toys." Said Kyoshiro.
"Do you want help?" Asked Yukina.
"I don't need a kid's help and anyway what can you do to help me?" Questioned Kyoshiro.
"I know their headquarters inside and out! I know how to sneak around without being spotted!" Said Yukina.
Kyoshiro could only look at Yukina with a look of confusion and exasperation. " ... How?"
"When I'm bored, I spend my time sneaking around there. For a military base armed to the teeth, it is very poorly guarded." Said Yukina with an innocent look.
Kyoshiro was completely confused at Yukina's answer. "...I don't know if I should be mad at you or at Dan."
In a private airport, a jet had just landed. As soon as the door to the jet opened, a woman in business attire ran out as fast as she could, she had short black hair and hazel eyes. Dan stepped off the jet and the woman followed the Phoenix Leader in his footsteps.
"Any news, Danielle?" Dan asked.
"Yes! Jack arrived before the others, waiting in his hotel room. Shiryu and Koto had to take care of some last minute business, they won't arrive until next week and finally everything is ready for the meeting." Said Danielle.
"It's not that bad, I had to talk with Jack anyway." Says Dan. "Tell him to come see me as soon as possible."
"Okay, Mr. Komogawa." Danielle replied. "Anything else?"
"Yes, lower the security for the meeting." Said Dan.
"Excuse me?" Questioned the surprised secretary.
"You heard me right, turn down the security, better don't put any." Said Dan.
"But why?" Danielle asked confused.
"A special guest will arrive... better let him through without making any trouble." Answered Dan in a calm and serene tone.
"Ok... it will be done Mr. Komogawa." Said Danielle.
"And since Shiryu and Koto won't arrive for a while, I need you to prepare something special for me." Said Dan.
Dan and his secretary got into a limousine, which took them away from the airport.
In the afternoon, Kyoshiro and Yukina were in front of the Phoenix headquarters. Kyoshiro had his bag filled on his back contrary to usual, he was wearing only green shorts, a red t-shirt and his torn jacket. He was barefoot and completely showed his prosthesis. Yukina was surprised to see that unlike his left leg, Kyoshiro's mechanical right leg stopped at the knee.
"Which way do we have to go?" Kyoshiro asked.
"Since there is no one near the entrance, we can go through there." Said Yukina. "But it's really strange that there are no guards."
"I don't need to worry about that. The only thing I care about is Dan and the others." Kyoshiro was about to enter the headquarters but Yukina held his arm. "What, again?"
"I feel like this is a trap, we should be careful." Said Yukina.
"If you say so, let's go now or else we will miss them." Said Kyoshiro.
The duo entered the headquarters and after several minutes of sneaking around the premises, Yukina was completely surprised to see that there was absolutely no one present.
"This is so weird." Said Yukina before Kyoshiro walked past her as if nothing had happened. "What are you doing?!"
"There's no one here, we have no reason to hide." Said Kyoshiro. "Do you know where the meeting room is?"
"It's supposed to be on the fiftieth floor, we should take the stairs, the elevator is broken since your last escapade." Answered Yukina.
They entered the stairwell and Yukina was surprised at the number of steps.
"I had completely forgotten how big it was. Said Yukina.
"Go ahead instead of complaining!" Said Kyoshiro.
After a few minutes of walking, they had only climbed about ten floors and Yukina was already tired while Kyoshiro was still full of energy.
"How are you still standing?!" Asked Yukina slumped from exhaustion on some steps. "Aren't you supposed to be super old?"
"First: Yes I am old but not that old. Second: You're tired because you never exercise, seriously I've seen you eat a dozen bowls of noodles in a row and then fall asleep like a hibernating bear." Kyoshiro took Yukina by the collar and lifted her up as if nothing had happened. "Then stand up and walk!"
"Can you carry me on your back?" Yukina asked innocently and childishly.
"What?! No! Absolutely not!" Said Kyoshiro annoyed.
"Please?" Asked Yukina again with puppy dog eyes.
" ... I swear if you weren't so smart, I would have been finished with you already." Said Kyoshiro before putting Yukina on his back. "Now stop complaining! We still have about forty more floors to climb."
"Come on giddy up!" Said Yukina.
"I'm not a horse!" Said Kyoshiro annoyed.
Kyoshiro climbed all the stairs with incredible speed which surprised Yukina who had to hold on with all her strength. After a few minutes, the duo finally arrived at the fiftieth floor.
"Finally arrived! You go down now!" Kyoshiro suddenly let go of Yukina who fell on her butt.
"Ouch! You didn't have to make me fall..." Yukina stood up massaging her back.
"Get up! We need to find that meeting room." Said Kyoshiro.
"It should be down the hall." Said Yukina.
"Let's go!" Said Kyoshiro.
At the end of the hallway, Kyoshiro and Yukina opened the door to the meeting room and saw that Dan and his secretary had just arrived as well. Yukina was stunned by Dan, his presence alone gave her a chill. Dan had a completely cold and inexpressive expression. She looked at Kyoshiro looking for an answer, but she was frightened by his expression filled with hatred and rage.
"I see you came to see me on your own, it will save me time." Dan removed the jacket and tie from his suit and handed them to Danielle. "You can take the rest of the day off." Danielle nodded before leaving.
"You have your own maid now? You're such a jerk." Kyoshiro lifted the table with one hand and threw it out the window.
"You should leave miss Kuroriki, this is not a fight you want to see." Warned Dan, but Yukina was still impressed with the two brothers. "I have to do everything by myself."
In a second Yukina was out of the meeting room, she tried to open the door again, but it was locked. Inside the room, the brothers were looking each other in the eye as belts appeared on them. Dan's belt was completely different from Kyoshiro's, it was blue with a yellow electric pattern and the buckle looked like the mouth of a jackal.
"You'll regret what you did to me." Said Kyoshiro.
"I never regret my decisions. Let's stop talking and start." The leader of Phenix rolled up his sleeves, Kyoshiro pointed the compass needle south, and Dan placed his hand on the jackal's mouth.
"Henshin..." Kyoshiro violently tapped the compass while Dan violently closed the jackal's mouth and its eyes glowed an electric yellow. Two shockwaves came out of the brothers destroying everything around them.
Kyoshiro was in a red jumpsuit with a green electric pattern, he had a pair of black boots and gloves. On top of the suit he was wearing a heavy gray armor with a red and green electric pattern. His helmet was red like the suit. He had two large green eyes, on the sides of the helmet were tips that looked like a small pair of wings and the mouthpiece looked like a row of sharp teeth.
Dan was in a blue jumpsuit with a multiple yellow scar pattern, he had a pair of white boots and gloves. Above the suit he wore a light armor with wear marks and around his neck was a long white cape. His helmet was also blue, he had large white eyes and above them was a knight's visor, the mouth of the helmet had two pipes coming out of it.
"Kamen Rider Reverse... it's time to see the gravity of your actions." Said Kyoshiro.
"Kamen Rider Rebirth... the world will be reborn from my actions." Said Dan.
Suddenly, Reverse raised his cannon towards Rebirth and fired a dozen darts at his face. The Phoenix Leader deflected each one with the back of his hand, but caught the last one.
"Still playing with your toys? You'll never grow up." Said Rebirth before throwing the stinger.
"Whose fault is that?!" Reverse ran at Rebirth and delivered a backhanded kick to his face, but he blocked the blow with one hand.
"You really don't change..." Said Rebirth in a cold tone.
"Shut up!" Miniature reactors opened on Reverse's leg, they propelled him with incredible force the prosthesis which made Rebirth recoil violently.
"I perhaps was mistaken on your case." Said Rebirth while rising from the blow. "You have changed."
"Of course I've changed since the last time, I have my legs and arms back!" Reverse couldn't help but laugh.
"No, you finally created weapons." These words stopped Reverse's laughter. "You said you would never create a weapon and here you are using it to beat me, it's pretty ironic." Said Rebirth still with incredible calm.
Reverse was completely covered with green electricity. He tore off his right arm, took a prosthesis from his bag and attached it. "I will gut you..." His new limb looked like a huge demonic claw, it was completely black while its long sharp claws were transparent.
" Weapons and more weapons, you're such a hypocrite. " Said Rebirth with an icy calm.
In anger and rage, Reverse launched himself at his brother at full speed and delivered a broad blow with his claws, but Rebirth dodged the blow and stole his elder's bag.
"No more toys for you." Rebirth held the bag out the window, but Reverse sneered. "What's so funny."
"Okay, no more toys..." Suddenly Reverse tackled Rebirth and both brothers fell. "But for both of us!"
The two Kamen Rider fell at full speed, but surprising Reverse, Rebirth was not at all surprised or even frightened by the fact that they were going to flatten themselves against the ground. In their rapid descent, Reverse pushed Rebirth and changed his gravity to walk on the walls of the building to break his fall. In an instant and surprising Reverse, Rebirth disappeared for a moment before reappearing at the bottom of the headquarters without any damage or scratches on him.
"Will you stop pissing me off..." Reverse growled annoyed.
"Come on down, I don't have all day." Said Rebirth.
Reverse ran at full speed toward Rebirth before jumping off the walls and propelling himself toward his brother. The gravity manipulator used his huge claws and sliced the Phoenix Leader into several pieces, Reverse could only laugh at his victory.
"Finally! Finally I killed him!" Laughed Reverse. "Only three more to go and I'll be done!"
"You should really get your eyes checked." Reverse turned to see that Rebirth was behind him. "Did you really think it would be that easy." Reverse turned around again to see what he had sliced was a simple soldier.
"Stop with the tricks!" Reverse swung his claws broadly, but Rebirth dodged each blow as if nothing had happened.
"No elegance, the other Kamen Riders gave me more trouble than you." Rebirth gave a powerful back kick, but Reverse blocked the blow with his claws but the attack made him back away violently.
"Is that all you can do?!" Reverse asked arrogantly before he felt something strange, suddenly his right arm exploded into pieces. Reverse could only be surprised at the power of the blow, almost instantly Rebirth was in front of him.
"You shouldn't talk to your superior like that ..." Rebirth gave a powerful uppercut to the belly of Reverse who had the impression to have taken a blow from a canon. The blow was so strong that it sent the gravity manipulator flying into a wall and left its imprint in it. "You should give up ... you can't do anything to me, your cybernetic implants are 40 years old. They can't do anything against mine, which are at the cutting edge of technology."
"Shut up..." Reverse ordered weakly.
"For the last 40 years, I've spent them hunting every Kamen Rider this world could create, but none have been able to beat me... I've fought a god, mythical beings, police officers, doctors, viruses and more. Each fight has made me stronger for one reason... fighting you." Rebirth walked slowly toward Reverse.
"Shut up!" Reverse struggled to his feet as his body was covered in green electricity.
"But what have you been doing all this time? You've spent it lamenting on your fate like an idiot. I bet you didn't train for our fight." Said Rebirth.
"Shut up !" The electricity that ran through Reverse's body redirected to his right shoulder and surprising even Rebirth, his big brother now had a skeletal right arm made completely of electricity. Reverse's row of sharp teeth opened as he roared like an animal. "DIE !" Reverse propelled himself and grabbed Rebirth by the head with his new limb, the gravity manipulator ran towards headquarters and used his little brother as a battering ram. "OVERBURST !" Reverse screamed as even more electricity poured out of his body.
Rebirth could only be amazed at the feat he was seeing when suddenly, a flurry of fists hit him with so much force that he went through several walls before coming to a rest against a thick wall. Reverse was so enraged that he continued his flurry of blows even though some of the attacks missed their target.
The Phoenix Leader finally managed to dodge Reverse's flurry of blows, he was completely surprised by the increase in power his opponent had. The Rebirth armor was covered in scratches and missing parts.
"I'm done playing..." Rebirth pulled out several swords from under his cloak and threw them around. Reverse paid no attention to this and ran towards his brother to finish him off, but suddenly Rebirth grabbed one of the swords and slashed his older brother's left arm. Rebirth began to juggle all the swords and slashed Reverse through and through.
"BASTARD !" Reverse yelled before Rebirth slammed the sword down his throat.
"I'm tired of hearing you talk." Rebirth moved to withdraw his sword, but once again the electricity that covered Reverse replaced the arm he had lost. He used his electric limbs and grabbed the sword by the arm, electrocuting Rebirth with all the strength he had. The electric charge he created was so strong that all the electronic objects around them fried as Rebirth screamed in pain, he felt a strong electric current running through his body. Reverse was not screaming in pain but in hatred, he wanted to fry the Phoenix Leader with everything he had.
" AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH ! " Howled the two brothers as suddenly the electric shock sent them flying. The two brothers were so tired from their fight that they fell unconscious.
When Kyoshiro opened his eyes, he saw that he was in an infirmary bed covered with bandages, he looked at his "arms" and saw that he had a wooden prosthesis that served as a makeshift arm. He looked around a bit more and saw that Yukina was at his bedside and had fallen asleep.
"Idiot..." Said Kyoshiro with a weak voice.
Kyoshiro got up and walked out of the infirmary. He noticed that the place he was in was an old bunker. He continued to search and found himself in a meeting room that looked familiar. In the center of the meeting room was a round table with several chairs, but on one wall was a sheet that hid something. "Where am I?"
"You're in the resistance's lair." With these words Kyoshiro grabbed one of the chairs and threw it towards the source of the voice, but the chair was intercepted by a huge sword that pierced it. Suddenly armed men appeared and threatened Kyoshiro with blades. "No need to be so violent, you are safe here." Kyoshiro looked at the person who was talking to him and saw that it was Kourin.
"What do you want from me?" Kyoshiro asked in a cold tone.
"Calm down a bit, Yukina came to me for help. I didn't think I'd see you fighting against Dan Komogawa himself." Said Kourin in a relaxed tone.
"Tell your men to leave before I gut them..." Said Kyoshiro with a distorted smile.
"Please leave?" Kourin asked calmly to the resistant who left.
"Also the one who launched his toothpick." Said Kyoshiro.
From the shadows of the room, a tall man came out, he had short white hair and sky blue eyes, he wore brown cargo pants, a black tank top, a holster was on his right leg where a revolver was and finally he wore a military jacket.
"I'm staying, whether you like it or not." Said the man.
"Oh really." Kyoshiro approached the man and looked him straight in the eye. "Can I know the name of my next victim?"
"My name is Jay." The man removed the sword from the wall, the weapon was a long thick sword that looked more like a metal ingot than a sword which he tucked behind his back.
"Come on we don't need to fight." Said Kourin. At these words, Jay growled at Kyoshiro before sitting down at the table. "Would you please sit down?" Kyoshiro, still confused by what was going on, sat down without question.
"Can I finally know what I'm doing here?" Kyoshiro asked.
Kourin also sat down at the table and answered with a serious tone. "We need your help, Kamen Rider Reverse."
"My help with what?" Kyoshiro questioned.
"To destroy Phoenix of course." Said Kourin.
"No, Phoenix is my problem, not yours." Said Kyoshiro.
"It's not, old man!" Said Jay. "Phoenix is everyone's problem. No one person should have that much power in their hands."
"Even if I accepted, what do you want me to do?" Kyoshiro asked.
"We know you were a former doctor, and they are becoming increasingly rare to find a doctor who would want to help us." Said Kourin.
"I stopped being a doctor a long time ago, kid." Said Kyoshiro.
"We have wounded soldiers who need care, so stop whining old man." Said Jay.
"I do what I want, kid." Kyoshiro replied.
"We have children who are sick, we really need your help." Said Kourin.
"You better find something that interests me because I'm getting bored." Kyoshiro yawned in boredom.
"You stupid old man!" Jay was annoyed by Kyoshiro's attitude that he was ready to draw his weapon.
"I can help you find the ones you're looking for." Kourin's words gained Kyoshiro's attention.
"Oh really?" Kyoshiro questioned intrigued.
"Our network of informants is worldwide, so we can find them in a few days." Said Kourin.
"I accept!" Said Kyoshiro when suddenly Yukina entered the meeting room and tackled the old man.
"You're finally awake!" Said Yukina with tears in her eyes.
"Let go of me you idiot!" Kyoshiro tried to free himself from Yukina but the girl's strength surpassed his own.
"You super scared of me!" Said Yukina.
"Let go of me I say !" Ordered Kyoshiro annoyed.
"I think we have a deal, Kamen Rider Reverse." Said Kourin.
Kyoshiro finally managed to free himself from Yukina's grip and said, "I'll do my part, don't worry." Surprising Jay and Kourin, in one motion Kyoshiro broke the makeshift prosthesis he had. "Yukina go to my room, I have some special arms I want to show you."
"Oh really!" Said Yukina intrigued.
"Yeah they are under my bed." Said Kyoshiro.
"I'll go get them then!" Said Yukina as she left.
Kyoshiro turned his attention to Kourin and Jay before telling them. "Get me an OR ready for anyone who needs surgery and sterile instruments, the doctor needs to go see his patients."
"It will be done." Said Kourin.
When Kyoshiro left, Kourin stood up and ripped off the sheet that was hiding one of the walls to reveal a grasshopper head logo.
"Did you really need to hide that?" Jay asked.
"It was better, because we know how he would have reacted if he knew it was a bunker that the Kamen Rider had used during their fight with Phoenix." Kourin replied.
"You're right, after all you did start this whole operation by yourself." Said Jay. "I'll be in my quarters if you need me."
Jay left, leaving Kourin pensive as she continued to observe the symbol of peace, the symbol of the Kamen Rider.
