In the infirmary of the resistance, Kyoshiro was reading the book that the moth Fangire had given him and he was surprised at how much information it was filled with about Koto, so complete that it even had Koto's tastes, opinions, desires and dreams. It was as if the Fangires had spent months or even years with her to have collected so much information, but unfortunately for him Yukina was present bothering him.
"I'm bored!" Said Yukina.
"Don't you have other things to do than bother me?" Asked Kyoshiro.
"No, I finished all the things grandpa wanted me to do. Answered Yukina.
"Don't you have homework to do, then?" Kyoshiro questioned.
"...how old do you think I am?" Yukina retorted.
"I don't know 15, 16?" Kyoshiro asked.
"I'm 20, idiot." Replied Yukina.
"Go bother someone else, dumbass." Said Kyoshiro hiding his face behind the book.
"You're such a Tsundere." Yukina giggled.
Kyoshiro grabbed Yukina by the collar and threw her from the infirmary. "I have no idea what a Tsundere is, but get the hell out of my office before I kick your ass!" He threatened.
"Yeah, he's a Tsundere." Yukina stood up as Kyoshiro slammed the door. "What am I going to do with my day, now?" She asked before leaving.
Dan was in his office drinking and reading a novel as Koto arrived, she was surprised to see Dan even quieter than usual.
"Are you okay?" Koto asked gaining Dan's attention.
"Everything is fine, Sakura passed me her latest manuscript so I'm reading it." Dan put down the novel and his glass. "But since you're here, I'm guessing it's to give me the information you found?" He asked.
"Yeah, unfortunately for you, I only found a little bit of information about the resistance. Even for me it was hard to find, but at least I have more about the Overburst." Said Koto.
"I'm not surprised, tell me what you know?" Asked Dan.
"It's simple, all I know is that the resistance is headed by a woman and her right hand man is one of our former soldiers, even if I forced them to talk, I didn't get anything more. For the Overburst, apparently Shocker had a project called Burst that they had tried to create during their fight against Kamen Rider Ichigou & Niigou. They thought that they could set up a system that could put the implants of a cyborg to the maximum without having a side effect. Fortunately for us, none of their test subjects survived the preliminary test. Other intels tells me that Kyoshiro was spotted in one of the Shocker bunkers we abandoned and if I can make connections, he must have upgraded the Burst system and renamed it Overburst before installing it on himself. That's the best I could come up with." Koto replied.
"It's already better than nothing, I'll give what you just told me to Yosuke to prepare him." Said Dan.
"Why do you want him to fight Kyoshiro? I thought you wanted to do it." Questioned Koto.
"I've already tried three times to take him down and I couldn't get it done. I think it should take someone different and Kyoshiro knows nothing about it." Replied Dan.
"If you say so, in any case I did my job so I'm out of here! Call me if you need me!" Said Koto.
"I won't forget, dear." Sad Dan.
"You're still a weird guy." Said Koto before leaving.
As Koto walked out of the office, Dan continued to read the manuscript in his hand. He couldn't help but have a warm little smile as he read it. Between each chapter he finished, Dan looked at the picture of a young woman on his desk. The woman had pale skin, long snow-white hair, her eyes were sky blue, she was wearing a blue kimono with cherry blossoms and wooden sandals.
Kourin was filling out paperwork in peace, she had almost finished filling them all out but she started to hear loud footsteps. Kourin was confused, when suddenly Kyoshiro kicked door of the office down surprising the leader of the resistance who had to prevent all the forms she had filled to fly away.
"I found a solution to our problem ! Kyoshiro sneered like a mad scientist.
"First: A door is made to be opened, not to be kicked down. Second: What problem?" Kourin asked.
"Koto and his voice." Answered Kyoshiro.
"And what is your solution?" Kourin asked.
"Earplugs." Answered Kyoshiro.
" ... I think a 10 year old child could have found this solution. " Said Kourin.
"But not just any kind of earplugs, dumbass!" Kyoshiro chuckled as he pulled out a pair of metal earplugs. "A pair of ultra-sonic earplugs! Koto's voice sends out several specific types of sound waves that force the person who hears them to do the command she gives, but if we block all types of sound waves from entering the eardrum so that the brain can translate it we'll have no problem beating her."
"So basically we have to make ourselves deaf so that her commands don't affect us?" Kourin asked.
"Basically." Kyoshiro replied.
"Again, a 10 year old could have come up with that." Said Kourin.
"And could a 10 year old have created a pair of these earplugs in less than an hour?" Asked Kyoshiro annoyed by Kourin's attitude.
"I doubt it." Kourin replied. "Do you really think that this is the best solution?"
"Would you rather make your soldiers deaf on purpose?" Kyoshiro asked.
"Touché." Said Kourin.
"Anyway I'm gonna go alone, I want to kill her myself. Said Kyoshiro.
"At least take someone you trust, just in case something happens." Said Kourin as she picked up his paperwork again.
"I said I would go alone, I don't need anyone." Said Kyoshiro.
"Oh really? Did you find the information about Koto by yourself?" Asked Kourin.
" ... don't even start playing this game!" Kyoshiro ordered in a cold tone.
"Then take someone with you." Said Kourin.
"Fine! I'll take the kid! At least I'm sure I won't get screwed with her!" Kyoshiro left, slamming the door.
"I don't know what's wrong with Yukina, but at least it calms him down a bit." Kourin continued her paperwork.
Koto was in her private suite enjoying the rest she could have, but unfortunately for her, someone knocked. She lazily got up and opened the door and had a big smile when she saw that it was Yosuke, she was so happy that she took the young man in her arm and covered one of his cheeks with kisses. Yosuke could not help but blush at this act of affection.
"Hello, Koto." Said Yosuke embarrassed.
"What's my favorite nephew doing here?" Koto asked with a big smile.
"I wanted to ask you some questions, that's all." Said Yosuke.
"Then come inside instead of staying here like an idiot." Koto took Yosuke by the arm and led him inside.
Yosuke sat down on one of the armchairs present while Koto took out some drinks from a mini fridge.
"What do you want to ask me?" Koto passed a drink to Yosuke as he sat down.
"Well I wanted to ask you if you knew anything about Kyoshiro?" Yosuke asked.
"Why do you want to know that?" Koto retorted.
"According to Dan, I'm the only one who can beat him. So I need to know more about the guy." Yosuke replied.
"You're lucky, I know him well, we were childhood friends. What do you want to know about him?" Koto asked.
"What kind of person is he? How does he fight? And why is he so angry with Phoenix?" Yosuke questioned.
"Didn't Dan tell you about him?" Koto retorted in surprise. "Even in the archives you didn't find anything?"
"Everything was under protection that even I could not read them and Dan would not tell me anything." Yosuke answered.
"So I'll tell you everything." Said Koto. "To begin with Kyoshiro is an extremely stubborn person, nothing can stop him when he starts something. The very reason why he became a doctor is because his parents challenged him to become one when he was 8 years old. That's how stubborn that idiot is."
"So he never gives up? Good to know." Said Yosuke.
"You wanted to know how he fights. When we were in high school, Kyoshiro joined his sister's gang and he was known for his boxing skills. Koto explained.
"Wait a second, Dan and Kyoshiro have a sister?" Yosuke asked surprised.
"Yeah, but she did nothing special I guess." Koto replied.
"I guess it's kind of hard to top what her brothers did." Yosuke laughed a little.
"And the reason he's mad at Phoenix is because he thinks we killed his family. After they died, he became a little..." Koto began to search for his words.
"Crazy? Psychotic? Paranoid? Murderer? Chaos incarnate?" Yosuke listed every word that came to mind to describe Kyoshiro.
"You could say that. And during his madness, he tried to kill us, so Dan had to stop him without killing him." Koto explained.
"And how did he do that?" Yosuke questioned.
"He did it by taking away Kyoshiro's arms and legs." Said Koto.
"That explains his cybernetic enhancement." Yosuke thought to himself. "You told me he had boxing skills but during my first fight with him his style didn't look like a boxer's."
"It's a mix between boxing and wrestling." Said Koto.
"Logical." Yosuke finished his drink and stood up, "Thanks for the answers, I have to go train to beat him." Said he with a smile.
"Good luck, but don't forget one thing." Said Koto.
"Which is?" Asked Yosuke confused.
"Don't try to stop him or even capture him, kill Kyoshiro." Koto said in a cold tone which surprised Yosuke.
Yosuke clenched his fists and said. "Alright, if it's for Phoenix, I'm ready to put him down."
Yukina was in Kyoshiro's shed taking apart another of his prostheses, despite the new locks that Kyoshiro had put on his door, Yukina had still managed to pick them. The mechanic really liked to dismantle everything she could find, it occupied her free time, but this time of peace was cut by Kyoshiro who gave a chase in the door.
The mechanic could feel the cyborg's hateful aura. "Uh... hi?" She asked
"You! Me! We're gonna kill someone!" Said Kyoshiro annoyed.
"Huh?" Questioned Yukina confused and surprised.
"You understood me so you come!" Kyoshiro took Yukina by her hips and carried her under his arm.
"Wait a second! Why do you want me to come with you to kill someone?!" Yukina held the door hinges trying to free herself.
"Because you're the only person I can stand so get your ass over here!" Kyoshiro pulled Yukina with one pull that the hinges she was holding broke.
"I don't know how to fight!" Yukina still trying to free herself.
"But you know how to create my prosthetics so you come just in case of some bullshit!" Said Kyoshiro.
"I hate my life!" Said Yukina with tears in her eyes.
"Welcome to the club, kid." Said Kyoshiro.
Kyoshiro went in front of an armored car, opened the back door and threw Yukina into the car before getting behind the wheel.
"Since when do you have a car?" Yukina questioned.
"I stole it from Kourin with other things." Kyoshiro replied.
"What kind of thing?" Yukina sat down normally before seeing next to her was a bag filled with firearms and grenades. "Huh?" Yukina turned pale as she saw the bag. "Help!" She said as she tried to open the car doors to no avail.
Kyoshiro started the car at full speed laughing like crazy as Yukina continued to try to run away from the car.
Yosuke was in his office reading and looking at as much information as he could find about Kyoshiro. He couldn't let himself be beaten by him again, but breaking his concentration, his phone vibrated.
"Hello, who is this?" Yosuke questioned as he answered the call.
"It's Dan." Yosuke was surprised, Dan was calling him directly and not through his secretary. "I'm calling because our satellites just spotted Kyoshiro and he's on the move in an armored vehicle. I think he is going to attack one of us, this call is only to warn you, I am sending you the information of these coordinates. It's up to you to do the rest of the work."
"Yes, sir!" Dan cut the call and directly Yosuke ran out of his office at full speed, ready to test his new implants against Kyoshiro.
