It had been a few days since Kyoshiro and Yukina had managed to capture Koto. In the corridors of the resistance base, Kourin was in her office filling out his paperwork before someone came knocking on her door.
"Come in." At Koto's command, a Soldier entered. The soldier was white as snow and shaking. "What is it?" She asked
"K-K-K-Kyoshiro is asking for you..." Said the Soldier. "Apparently he has something to tell you."
"I'll be right there then." Kourin stood up from her desk and was about to leave her office, but the Soldier grabbed her arm.
"Chief... this man, he's a raging lunatic. We shouldn't be allied with him." Said the Soldier.
"I know exactly what he's capable of and that's why we need him. Koto replied before leaving.
Koto arrived at the base's cells and all she could hear were screams of pain and blood-curdling laughter, but this did not disturb her natural calm. The resistance leader continued her way and arrived in front of Koto's cell where she saw Kyoshiro having "fun" with the prisoner.
Next to the Cyborg was a cart filled with torture instruments on it. Koto was tied to a chair and was covered with bruises, cuts and her own blood. Most of her nails had been forcibly removed leaving her flesh exposed to the air.
"Time to move on to something more... interesting!" Kyoshiro took a pair of pliers in his hand and grabbed one of Koto's fingers. "And..."
*Crack*
Kyoshiro broke Koto's finger in several places as the prisoner screamed in pain, he was about to break another finger but stopped when he saw Kourin. "Oh you're here already, you've ruined my fun."
"What do you want?" Kourin questioned.
"Simple, Koto finally told me where Shiryu could be. Said Kyoshiro.
"Already? I thought she would have lasted longer." Said Kourin.
"Me too..." Said Kyoshiro in a saddened tone.
"Where are these places?" Kourin asked.
"Only Phoenix bases with extremely high security levels that only those four assholes can enter without any problems. Kyoshiro replied, "From what I understand, he changes bases every three days with an escort of elite soldiers and armored vehicles."
"Can't hack the security?" Kourin asked.
"No, according to her, Shiryu has coded his own security and it would be almost impossible to crack and that's after several days of hacking. But even that will be useless because he updates it every 12 hours." Said Kyoshiro.
"And attacking during the night won't help either? Kourin asked.
"The guy doesn't need to sleep since he got his implants. He asked me to replace his heart with a perpetual energy core of his own design. No need to sleep, eat or any other natural need and since he doesn't need that anymore, more time for his experiments or other research." Said Kyoshiro.
"The way you present it to me, it looks like an automaton." Said Kourin.
"He has always been like that, long before we founded Phoenix. As long as he's working on his research, he won't stop until he gets concrete answers. He'll even forget to sleep or eat to the point of fainting." Said Kyoshiro.
"How will we get to him then?" Questioned Kourin.
"Simple, we'll use my prosthetics as bait, but we need something unique to get his attention. What I usually do won't interest him." Said Kyoshiro.
"How long will it take you to create this?" Kourin asked.
"I don't know, it depends on many factors. Maybe the kid could help me with that." Kyoshiro replied.
"Do that, meanwhile I have some questions for our prisoner." Kourin took a scalpel from the cart.
"Okay, but leave her alive. I'm not done with her." Said Kyoshiro.
As Kyoshiro walked out of the cell, he could hear Koto screaming in pain which gave him a huge distorted smile.
Kyoshiro entered his room and as usual he saw Yukina going through his things. The mechanic looked at the cyborg like a cat that had been caught doing something stupid, she tried to run away but Kyoshiro grabbed her by the collar.
"Where are you running to?" Kyoshiro asked.
"...nowhere." Said Yukina embarrassed.
"Well then, I need you to create a new pair of prosthetics." Said Kyoshiro.
"Really?!" Asked Yukina happily.
"Yep, now get your brain working, we're going to be here for a long time." Replied Kyoshiro.
"But grandpa needs me at the scrapyard!" Yukina retorted
"Sorry but I need you to-" Kyoshiro noticed that Yukina had broken out of his grip and was running away in the distance. "Get your ass back here before I kick it!" Yukina began to run even faster as she saw that Kyoshiro was at her heels.
For several minutes Kyoshiro ran after Yukina, but despite his speed he could not catch up with Yukina. After an intense race, the cyborg and the mechanic stopped out of breath and drops of sweat ran from their foreheads, Kyoshiro was surprised by the fact that Yukina managed to escape him.
"How... is it... that you are so fast?!" Kyoshiro questioned surprised.
"I've had to run... away from nasty assholes... since I was a kid. I have the legs for it!" Said Yukina proudly.
Kyoshiro caught his breath before asking. "So I can't catch you and you know I'm not going to stop until you help me, what do you want in return?"
Yukina thought for a moment before saying. "I want you to tell me more about Koto and the relationship you had with her!"
"...why?" Kyoshiro questioned confused.
"I'm just curious, that's all!" Said Yukina with a big smile.
"You're really weird as a kid, you know that?" Yukina stuck her tongue out at him as an answer. "I'll tell you about it while we work." Said Kyoshiro.
"Yeah !" Yukina followed Kyoshiro with a big smile towards the shed.
As soon as they entered the shed, both of them took out their toolboxes and started to work meticulously. A few minutes into their work Yukina opened her mouth to ask. "So how was it with you and her?"
"Wow, you really don't have any tact, right to the point." Kyoshiro replied.
"Come on tell me!" Yukina ordered like a child.
"Okay, okay, no need to get upset. Me and Koto are childhood friends, our parents were friends so we know each other since we were in diapers." Explained Kyoshiro, "We were like siblings, I was there when someone messed with her and I would smash them, and she would take care of my bruises. I think the reason she even became a doctor was to take care of my bruises and other injuries like my own little personal nurse."
"And you became a doctor for what reason?" Yukina asked.
"My mother told me that I would never make it when I was 7 years old, I proved her wrong." Kyoshiro laughed.
"Well damn, you can hold a grudge." Said Yukina.
"You're not the first one to tell me." Said Kyoshiro.
"But then you know why she wanted to treat you with such determination?" Yukina asked.
"Yeah, I found out long after what they did to me. From the best I could figure out, It seems i was the center of her obsession since elementary school, she has been completely focused on me to the point of taking rather disturbing notes on me." Explained Kyoshiro.
"Oh she's a Yandere!" Yukina realized.
"A Yande-what?" Kyoshiro retorted confused.
"OK so a Yandere, is a person who is completely absorbed by someone on a love level to the point that they are willing to do anything to end up with that person. They are willing to kill, torture, emotionally manipulate, destroy any potential rival and other more... visceral means." Yukina explained.
"That describes it well." Said Kyoshiro.
"But didn't she try to ask you to be her boyfriend?" Questioned Yukina.
At these words Kyoshiro turned white and embarrassed.

A long time ago, a teenage Koto was bandaging the wound of a teenage Kyoshiro who had just fought against a group of delinquents.
"They didn't go easy on me." Kyoshiro spat out a blood filled mollard.
"Thank you." Said Koto.
"Don't worry, I'm used to it. It's not the first time I've been hit." Said Kyoshiro.
"Yeah, but this time they were after me, not you." Koto retorted.
"Hey! You're my best friend! If they're picking on you, they're picking on me! The next time there's a jerk who wants to mess with you, you come to me!" These words made Koto blush. "Are you okay?" He asked.
"Yes..." Koto blushed even more before asking. "Can I ask you a question?"
"Yeah sure, what's on your mind?" Kyoshiro questioned.
"I wanted to know... if you wanted us to be together?" Koto asked embarrassed as hell.
Koto trembled with fear as Kyoshiro answered. "But of course!" The teenage girl had a big smile, but unfortunately for her Kyoshiro continued his sentence to say. "We will always be together, we are best friends. We're almost like sibling."
Yukina couldn't help but laugh at this, she was rolling around on the floor unable to stop.
"Stop laughing you idiot!" Said Kyoshiro embarrassed.
"No you're the idiot in this case! How can you be as dense as that?!" Asked Yukina between her laughter.
"Shut up!" Said Kyoshiro, red with embarrassment.
"You're as dense as a tree trunk!" Yukina sneered.
"Shut the fuck up!" Said Kyoshiro.
"But really that was the only time she asked you that?" Kyoshiro turned completely red at this question. "Oh... my... god... you're really that stupid!" Yukina resumed her laughter as loud as before.
"Shut up !" Kyoshiro ordered embarrassed and annoyed
Late at night, Kourin was still with Koto torturing her, the floor and walls were covered with the prisoner's blood. Kourin had on a brown leather apron and gloves, in her hand she had a pair of thick pliers and her eyes were completely blank.
"Why aren't you talking?" Kourin asked in a cold tone.
Koto spat out blood before saying. "I have... nothing to say to you."
"You'll talk eventually... just have to find the right way to do it." Kourin lifted the pliers in her hand before lowering them at full speed onto one of Koto's knees which made him scream in pain. "So are you going to talk?" Koto remained silent as tears streamed down her cheeks. "Maybe it takes a little more." She began to hit Koto's knees repeatedly with all her might.
The Phoenix lieutenant's screams echoed throughout the resistance cells. Kourin continued to torture Koto for a good ten minutes. She stopped only when Koto stopped screaming.
"Are you finally going to talk?" Kourin asked.
" ...yes... " Koto said.
"Well... tell me why?" Kourin asked.
"Why what?" Koto asked confused.
Kourin grabbed Koto by the mouth before saying annoyed. "You know exactly what I'm talking about, you bitch!" Kourin took a knife that was in the cart next to her and stabbed it into Koto's thigh. "You were supposed to raise me! You were supposed to teach me to cook, to be feminine, and to be there when I was sad! But no you preferred to leave me with servants who were threatened with death and afraid of me the second I arrived in the same room as them!" Kourin began to turn the knife in the wound. "YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE MY MOTHER!"
A silence filled the prison with resistance to this news, unfortunately for Kourin who thought he was alone, Jay had just arrived in the prison with a plate in his hands.
