After school let out for the day Ataru picked up Hikari from her school then took her to LeBlanc where everyone was waiting, Hikari ran over to Shiho who picked her up and kissed her cheek "So are we ready to do this? some of us may not return alive..." Yu said looking over at Ataru who nodded "Hell yeah I know I'm ready..." Ryuji chuckled as he held up a hand "Ooh someone's confident..." he said teasingly which made everyone laugh.
Ren held up his hand which made everyone stop laughing and look at him "Ryuji this is no time for jokes we're about to go into the most dangerous fight of our life we need to be serious..." he said as Ryuji nodded "You're right I'm sorry..." he replied as Ataru looked at Shiho and Hikari "Be good for your Mommy and do what she says alright" he said to Hikari who nods "I will Daddy" Shiho looks at him "Promise me you'll come back to us" Ataru sighed as he looked away.
Shiho puts a hand on his cheek and made him look at her "Promise me" she repeated as Ataru looked into her eyes and smiled "I promise I will return" he replied as he kissed her suddenly in front of everyone while the girls all reacted with awe "They are so cute together..." Akemi whispered to Ann who nodded in agreement and giggled.
Yu smiled "Okay so we know where to go and we have the keywords thanks to both Ataru and King Nose I say we be on our way to Akihabara the faster we get this done the better!" he said as he stood up "Agreed besides I'm kind of curious about this Mordecai dude..." Yosuke said while everyone else stood up "You know something... when Igor mentioned Mordecai's name he seemed rather upset for a brief moment as if there was some form of regret about us doing this" Ataru said looking at everyone who looked surprised.
Futaba sighed "Why do I get the feeling he's not telling us everything?" she asked as she rubbed her forehead "That's definitely an Igor thing to do..." Yu said with a chuckle while Ren shook his head "Not even I can deny that unfortunately... but then again the Igor that talked to me for the longest time was an imposter" Yosuke sighed softly "I don't think we have time to figure that out now if Mordecai fuses the worlds before we get there its hopeless..." he replied nodding.
Ataru rubbed his face before kissing both Shiho and Hikari "I love you both so much" he said to them as they smiled "We love you too hurry home" Shiho replied nodding as she watched them all leave the store and headed for the train station they boarded the train to Akihabara and arrived there thirty minutes later.
They went to an area that wasn't so populated "Okay lets do this!" Ren said as he pulled out his phone and said the keywords a cool female voice suddenly said "Transporting you to Mordecai's Castle!" while the world around them became fuzzy as a giant black castle with thick black fog surrounding it like a moat of darkness appeared before them the drawbridge was lowered as if welcoming them inside "I don't know... I have a feeling going inside is just what he wants" Ataru said looking at the lowered drawbridge.
Ren nodded "I agree but what choice do we have here?" he asked curiously as they all noticed they were in their Metaverse clothes "Well we are already seen as a threat... but that's not surprising" Yusuke said with a chuckle while Yu nodded "I'm kind of jealous we never got fancy threads when he came in here except for Teddie of course.." he replied with a chuckle as he pointed at Teddie in his bear form again.
Ren smiled "Yeah they're pretty awesome looking" he replied while they started walking towards the drawbridge as they did a low dark voice could be heard "Come in honored guests and meet your doom after watching my triumph!" the voice said with a dark sinister cackle "Dare we refuse such a kind invite?" Ryuji asked while Ren held out a hand to stop them moving "Almost forgot to tell the Investigation Team we all have code names in here" Ryuji nodded "Excellent point I'm Skull, Ren's Joker, Ann is Panther, Yusuke is Fox, Morgana is Mona, Futaba is Oracle, Makoto is Queen and Ataru is Bear" he said smiling happily.
Ataru nodded "Yup and Akemi is Angel" he replied as an Angel suddenly popped up behind him "Darling you're back!" she said hugging Ataru from behind as everyone laughed "Hmm I wonder if its possible to change a Persona's name so we don't get confused..." Ataru said looking at the Angel and smiling "Call me whatever you want Darling..." The Angel said blushing softly as everyone snickered "First time I've seen a persona fall in love with its master..." Yu said teasingly which makes Ataru blush crimson.
Akemi smirked a bit "We got a job to do people lets go!" everyone looked at her and nodded as they suddenly started making their way into Mordecai's castle on the ground inside is a long blood red carpet with a gold trim they decided to follow it through long winding corridors filled with skulls, bones and sleeping bats hanging from the ceiling they don't stir as the gang passes by them and just kept sleeping peacefully.
After ten minutes of walking they come to a room that's pitch black aside from small leering red eyes staring at them from across them room which made them jump in fear "Oh creepy!" Chie said shivering and clinging to Yosuke just as a cackle could be heard while two large red eyes opened up in the middle of the others making them all jump again "Thank you for coming to my castle... I trust you had no issues in finding this room?" the dark sinister voice from before asked.
They all swallowed a bit nervously as Ren stepped forward "Show yourself!" he demanded as a cackle was heard "As you wish..." the voice said while the sound of fingers snapping echoed around the room as it suddenly lit up to reveal lots of complex looking machinery which buzzed and whirred gently behind a man who looked like Igor except he had a full head of long platinum blonde hair and golden eyes that had a reddish glow to them he was wearing a dark black suit and shoes, he was surrounded by large bats that had two blood red eyes and large teeth.
The gang reacted with shock as Mordecai smiled darkly "Surprised?" he asked with a cackle but his glee was soon turned to anger when he saw Igor suddenly walk into the room "How good of you to join us... Father!" he said with a growl as everyone turned to look at Igor in shock "This is your son!?" Ataru asked in disbelief while Igor nodded "Yes this is my son" he replied as a woman with platinum blonde hair, pale skin and golden eyes wearing a dark blue outfit, black leotards and dark blue heels walked out from behind Igor suddenly "Mother!" Mordecai gasped as he looked at her in surprise.
