The woman looked at Mordecai with a somber look on her face while the gang looked at her in disbelief "Margaret!? what are you doing here?" Yu asked stepping forward, Margaret looked at him and smiled "Long time no see Yu..." she replied nodding while she looked at the Investigation Team "Say where's Yukiko?" she asked curiously as she noted her absence.
Yu smiled "She couldn't make it she's overseas on her honeymoon" he replied nodding as Mordecai suddenly cleared his throat "If you're done making idle chit chat... I think its time to activate my machine and combine the worlds together!" he said lifting up his hand in a finger snapping motion while Igor stepped forward looking nervous "Son if you do that surely you know what would happen?" Mordecai smirked as he looked at his father "Yes I do.. the great Demon King Malacai will be freed from his prison!" he replied making them all react with shock.
Igor sighed sadly "It seems my son is truly lost..." Margaret shook her head as she looked at Mordecai "Son please don't do this... you have no idea what that demon is capable of!" Mordecai chuckled darkly as he snapped his fingers and his bat like creatures that were fluttering around him suddenly flew towards the gang and attacked "Baloo!" Ataru yelled making a huge brown bear appear behind him, Baloo started to swing at the bats destroying them with ease.
Mordecai turned to his machinery and smirked "Now its time for Lord Malacai to be reborn!" he said as he held up his hands making the complex looking machinery work faster "Son you alone have the power to stop this!" Igor said as he twirled his staff in fast circles completely destroying the bats coming at him and Margaret while Mordecai looked over at him "Stop I don't want to remember you this weak!" Igor growled "IT IS NOT WEAK TO VALUE LIFE!" he yelled at the top of his lungs.
Mordecai chuckled "I offer you one last chance Father join my side and rule the world as a family!" Igor peered at the gang who just eliminated the rest of the bats "They are my family..." Mordecai sneered "Then you shall die with them KILL THEM!" he ordered as he summoned more bats while turning back to his machinery once more "Fuck these bats are irritating!" Ataru said as Baloo destroyed more of them while he shot the others with his 45 magnum.
Yu looked over at him "Tell me about it!" he yelled as he sliced several of them with his sword "We got to stop Mordecai!" Ren said as he sliced some bats with his sword while moving forward towards Mordecai who had his hands up in the air again "LORD MALACAI I SUMMON YOU FROM YOUR PRISON! COME FORTH AND PLUNGE THIS WORLD INTO ETERNAL DARKNESS!" he yelled at his machines making them move even faster "NO!" Igor yelled as the two worlds started to merge into one.
They all stood there in disbelief as a huge black looking demon started to appear it had three large horns on its head while its eyes glowed red like Mordecai's eyes it had to be at least nine feet tall it smirked darkly as it suddenly took a huge breath which sucked in all the remaining bats and he ate them as if it was a normal meal for him, Mordecai took a knee next to him "Welcome back my lord" he said to the demon who looked at him "Good work my loyal servant you're loyalty will be rewarded" he said in a deep raspy voice that sent shivers down everyone's back.
Mordecai nodded "Thank you my lord" he replied as Ataru leaned over to Akemi "Do you think Mordecai is actually being controlled by that thing?" he asked her so only she could hear it, Akemi nodded "Yeah I do... those eyes aren't natural looking at all even by Metaverse standards" she replied nodding as Ataru scratched his chin "Hmm maybe we can work with that... didn't you once tell us your persona Maid Marian had purifying powers? perhaps she can free Mordecai from his control" Akemi nodded "It's worth a shot but I need to get a bit closer for it to work" she replied looking over at Mordecai.
Ataru smiled "I'll distract them with Baloo while you get in close" he replied while Akemi nodded "Gotcha I'll quickly tell the others" she replied as she walked over to the rest of the gang and relayed the message "Sounds do able maybe if we save Mordecai we can stop Malacai and re-seal him up again" Yu said nodding as Futaba flew down in her persona "I'll distract Malacai from up here while you guys do the same down there!" she said to them.
They all nodded in agreement "Lets do it! BALOO!" Ataru said as they all ran forward "Pathetic ants! you can never defeat me!" Malacai said as he held up his hands and sent waves of pure darkness towards them knocking them backwards while Akemi snuck up from behind them and once she got close enough to Mordecai she said "Maid Marian!" quietly to summon her and Marian started to chant under her breath what sounded like a spell, after a few moments of chanting she held out a hand towards Mordecai.
Ren smirked "Who said anything about defeating you?" he asked Malacai teasingly making him turn his head towards Mordecai in time to see him get hit by Marian's attack "NO!" he yelled angrily as he watched Mordecai grab his head as if in pain and fall to his knees "What's going on... I feel w-weird!" Mordecai gasped as a foul looking black aura left his body and his eyes no longer glowed red but were a pure golden color.
Malacai suddenly looked a bit nervous as Mordecai looked up "Where am I? what's going on?" he asked looking around then saw Malacai looking at him "You... I remember now, when I found that weird looking black book in my Father's library I foolishly opened it and you took over my body!" he said trying to stand up but fell to his knees "Yes and now you're useless to me!" he replied swinging a hand at him and sending him flying into Margaret's open hands she caught him easily but fell on her ass and hugged him tightly "My baby..." she said kissing him on the head.
Mordecai looked at her "Mother... I'm so sorry please forgive me" Margaret shook her head "It's fine I'm just glad you're okay" she replied hugging him even tighter as Igor walked over to them "Son... do you know how to re-seal this demon and return the worlds to normal?" he asked him curiously "Yes you got to destroy the machines it will restore the worlds back to normal and re-seal him up for good!" Igor nodded as he turned to the gang "You heard him go for the machines!" he hollered to them.
Malacai cackled darkly "I'll never allow that! this world is mine!" he held up his hands and sent more waves of darkness towards them they all barely dodged it "We got to get behind him and attack the machines all together!" Ataru said as he sent Baloo after Malacai and the two engaged in a hand to hand fight "Wow Baloo's really holding his own" Akemi said watching them slug it out "That's my Baloo" Ataru replied proudly.
