Hello folks. The name of the game in this chapter is…drum roll please…*Insert literal drum rolling across the stage*…World Building. Also, I'm sure a few of you are wondering where Weiss, Blake, and Yang are and what they are doing right now.

Also, in the last chapter I didn't quite explain Wotan's maidenly eating habit as I intended, so I'm going to take care of it in this chapter.

Chapter 6 – It's a BIG World

Mechanic, Crescent Rose

"So let me get this straight", Crescent began as she cut up the sausages for her breakfast. "Not only can you not eat before I do, but you are restricted to only eating things I am eating?"

"Yes and no." Wotan replied as if it were no big deal, "More specifically, I can only eat the meal I've seen you eat most recently. If there was any leftover soup from last night, I could eat that."

"Now if you would please take a bite of the sausage, I would like to try it."

Crescent quickly took a bite and Wotan did the same.

"Why didn't you say that last night?"

"It wasn't important, I did say it was related to my maidenly eating habit, and for the rest, I got distracted by Tinker's story." She said drawing both women's eyes on the man who had thus far remained silent and was doing his best to immolate her dad when she and her sister were arguing about 'girl stuff', as he called it, by hiding behind his newspaper that a tamed monster had brought…apparently(?)

Turning back to her Embryo…"You should have told me regardless."

"It hasn't been a problem thus far, has it?"

"Well…no, but if there's some restriction on you eating, then I should know."

"You do know this only applies to food, right? Things like medicines and potions, which are NOT considered food and beverage, are fair game." Wotan explained calmly having clearly seen the true worry in her Master's line of thought.

Crescent blinked, "Okay, then I guess I-"

"-shouldn't have worried like your big sister that time she mistook that you muttering while reading weapon magazines under the blanket for you reading porn?" Wotan deadpanned as Crescent let out an atomic blush as Tinker did an equally epic spit take.

"WWWOOOOOTTTTTTTAAAAAANNNNNN!"

Outside Vandelheim, Dryfe Imperium

To say the Clock Tower headquarters was huge would be an understatement.

She had seen documentaries on the facilities Altas used to assemble continent-crossing airships, and this seemed even bigger.

"Pretty cool, right?" Tinker said as he walked around the impressive front door to a side of the building with literally nothing on it. It was just a plain wall…until he pressed his hand against it and a voice spoke in a monotone "Clan Member Identified, Welcome Tinker." And a hidden door opened up with him gesturing for her to follow.

Blinking, the Master and Maiden, still carrying Salamander, did so.

Before Crescent could ask as the door closed behind them, "The clan owner, despite appearances, isn't a fool. We've had several stealth and surveillance specialized Masters trying to sneak in to get a peek at our latest inventions and ideas, so technically we have two clans. The low-level crafters who are still protected by several safety precautions that performing basic mass production, and the secret R&D team that is used to create the stuff the first group makes."

"Um…"

"After getting the MG-250 to work after not even being logged in a day gets you the chance to work in R&D. I'm currently taking you to the magic item we use to grant R&D members access to the secret doors."

"Haah." She exhaled.

"Have more faith in yourself. As far as newbies go you've done more in a few days than most could hope to in the first month of play. I wouldn't be surprised if you ended up getting a UBM special reward soon enough."

"UBM?"

"That stands for Unique Boss Monster. They're rare boss monsters that have mutated and become far stronger than they would normally be. In addition, the MVP (Most Valuable Player) who defeated it gets a drop item customized to their needs. This can range from the complete remains of the monster, to something that needs to be processed by a production class job into an item, or simply a customized item that possesses the ability of the UBM that fits into your play style."

"When you beat a UBM, you get a custom one-of-a-kind weapon?"

He nodded.

"That. Is. So. COOL!"

"It is. Also, the item cannot be transferred, stolen, or used by others."

"Why isn't everyone out hunting them right now?"

"Some people spend their time in Dendro doing nothing else. Great Huntsmen Portobello is famous for having the highest number of UBM special rewards in ID."

"However, not everyone can hunt UBMs. They are ranked from weakest to strongest as Epic, Legendary, Ancient Legendary, Mythical, and an unofficial rank of Irregular. That we know of." (1)

"Epics vary wildly in terms of difficulty and can take an entire party of high-rank jobs to take down."

"Legendary ranks typically require a Pre-Superior (someone with a Superior Job and an Embryo in the 6th form) to take down, but even then, there are some that could still beat even a Superior if they have bad compatibility." (2)

"And they only get stronger from there." He said rather solemnly. "I've seen people quit playing Infinite Dendrogram after being killed by a UBM too many times."

"So since I'm low level, I don't have any chance of beating one?"

"I wouldn't say that for two reasons." He held up a finger, "First, UBMs can appear at any level, some supposedly in the single digits or low double digits (2)." He held up a second finger, "Second, Maiden Type Embryos are unique in that they have abilities that follow the theme of 'giant killing' meaning they excel at punching above their weight class. Albeit yours seems a little more reckless than others I've heard of."

"Yeah", Crescent rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment, "When you put it like that, it makes me think I might be copying my sister." Which caused Wotan to beam and puff out her chest for some reason.

Please don't let me have accidentally made my Embryo my sister, please!

'Master, I am not your sister. I come from you and while I do share some traits with her, they are traits you also embody or desire for yourself.'

'You are you Master. And not even Yang can do that.' Her Embryo comforted her.

She really did have the best Embryo out there.

When she saw Tinker's unasked question, "She's a boxer IRL and tends to spar with guys a lot bigger than herself."

"That reminds me, Wotan mentioned you have a sister, is she in Dendro as well?"

"Yeah, but I only went to Dryfe because my sister tricked me by telling me she was here."

He awkwardly scratched his cheek, "Please don't be offended, but I am rather happy she tricked you given that it means our clan gets someone so talented."

"You're not wrong." She reluctantly admitted. "I just wish I knew what country she was in at least."

"If she's anything like you, I imagine she's a great asset to her country."

"Yeah…probably." She quietly trailed off.

Amneal, Legendaria

Within the capital of Legendaria, nestled below the giant Irregularity that was the tree-shaped monster Amneal in a fantasy-like setting with a medieval-isk picturesque setting, a massive tournament was being held. A battle royal for one of the most coveted prizes in the entire country of Legendaria; a commemorative ticket to the lead idol of Legendaria, Titania.

Taking the name of her Special Superior Job, she was a beauty that many in her country Master and Tian alike worshipped her for her immense beauty.

As a result, the battle between those in the tournament, which happened to have a 1,000,000,000 lir buy-in, was quickly becoming known as the single bloodiest conflict in all of Legendaria's history. Even though the blood of Masters disappeared after their death, and did not even actually die due to the arena's safety features, and that it was all taking place in an arena that was shielded to prevent any unintentional damage.

When all was said and done, nearly two thousand Masters and tians (who also did not die due to the arena's safety features) six remained.

We Dort Winkley, the hero of the bird-man tribe and the sole tian among them. The wielder of the Superior Job, The Wing, he was considered the best flyer and fastest in all of Legendaria. Additionally, he possessed the most combat experience of the group having made it well into his 40s despite having such a hard life. The Ancient Legendary Spear he wielded was proof of his tenacity and skill. (3)

Thorne Bane, a Master with a beard like a lion's mane that no sane person would wear, looked like the poster boy for steroid abuse. His Type: Another Rule Embryo Antaeus drew in Resources from the surroundings to continuously buff his STR, END, and AGI. On top of that, he was 2nd in the Duel Rankings with only his high-rank job and his sixth form Embryo. In terms of a battle of attrition, he was the worst kind of opponent. He had thus far been hiding low in the conflict and that had allowed him to get his stats well over what he could have done normally.

Scarlet Queen, a white-haired woman in a red dress with wolf-headed gauntlets that had a high AGI status correction removing the biggest weakness of her Mage-type Superior Job, Glacier Princess. She was considered the most difficult to deal with due to her ability to attack with spells from a distance that dealt the [Cold] and [Freezing] debuffs and her Embryo allowing her to move at supersonic speeds to get in close and use her gauntlets to drain the target of their body heat.

Icy Queen, a red-haired woman in a white dress, and Scarlet's sister. The area below her turned into the night sky, complete with stars that rose only to become mediums for her to perform a mass summoning as a small army of Animated Armors, Pure Dragon Serpents, and even a King Lich appeared. Like Thorne Bane, she was normally the type who favored battles of attrition, with each felled opponent she would have been able to absorb the resources and gain more powerful mediums for summoning…normally. Since no one actually died in the arena, she hadn't collected any new resources. Though thankfully, per her sister's advice, she had been grinding monsters so hard to stock up that she was now 5th in the Kill Rankings and had plenty of Resources left.

Sweet T. a Master, and the only one without a Superior Job, with a strange Embryo known as Muffin Man that allowed him to animate and reinforce desert-based sweet constructs, such as the two gingerbread dragons guarding him with the strength on par with pure dragon class monsters. He was by far the weirdest of the group, but in no way was he to be underestimated, surviving a two thousand-way battle royal to the last six was proof enough despite his main job being the high-rank Chef job, Patissier. Rather than an individual battle type, or even a large-scale destruction type, he was a combination of a large-scale suppression type and an individual survival type. Between his job and embryo, he could defend against and capture just about anyone. Usually performing either with super reinforced frosting.

And last, but certainly not least, was Sol BlawnD Dragon, the 2nd place in the Kill Rankings behind Titania herself, holder of the Superior Job Sacred Blazer, and the only Superior.

Her hair is like black silken threads smoothed to perfection entwined with specks of gold that radiated like the sun itself. It was tied into a ponytail with a black and gold dragon head acting like a hair tie. Her attire was a risqué yellow and gold Mistralian cheongsam stylized with a golden serpentine Mistralian dragon on it with a short skirt with slits on the sides up to the middle of her hips, metal greaves over thigh-high stockings, a spaulder on her left shoulder and a metal gauntlet up her right arm to just under the shoulders.

The dress accentuated her feminine form that seemed to be both soft as well as graceful. Like that of a professional dancer.

She drew her second adamantine sword for the day, the first…melted.

"Well it's been real and it's been fun, but the only royale I like is crown royal." She joked causing Master and tian alike to groan in unison.

"I thought we were supposed to be resistant to mental attacks." Sweet T. complained.

"Maybe it's her Embryo's ability?" Scarlet added earning a laugh from everyone.

"Ha. Ha. Ha. We all know that I'll be the one wearing the crown today."

"Oh, and how will you do that?" Scarlet asked, taking a fighting stance again as the air around her began to frost and crackle.

"This- "▉▉▉▉ ▉▉▉▉ ▉▉▉▉▉▉▉▉ ▉▉▉ ▉▉▉▉▉▉▉▉ ▉▉▉▉ ▉▉▉▉ ▉▉▉ ▉▉▉ - ▉▉▉▉▉▉▉▉!"

The barriers containing the battle and all other participants were incinerated in a massive column of golden flames that were seen from the Royal Capital Altea in the Kingdom of Altar.

Great Merchant, Pygmy Amami

The tian who had been hosting the tournament, a gray rabbit woman, was on her back, knocked down due to the burst of power, looking on in abject horror at what she had seen. The arena, which had held some of the most powerful clashes in recorded history, was now scorched and blackened, the ten layers of barriers used had been reduced to seven by the time there were six remaining, but even so…all seven barriers and the other participants were…burned away.

Thankfully, no one actually died…but still…

She had merely meant this as a get rich quick scheme between her and We Dort Winkley. It was so simple, she would host a tournament with the last ticket being the prize, rake in the lir, and Winkley would win and they would attend the concert together, maybe go on a few dates afterward, possibly get married, have a few kids…at least that was the plan.

She had heard Superior Masters were monsters in human form, but this was beyond anything she had ever imagined. This was beyond reason.

A Master, Schrodinger Cat, was once one of the Peerless Three 600 years ago. Supposedly, he had a Superior Embryo. Did that mean ALL Masters with Superior Embryos were THAT powerful?!

And then, she stood before her. She had no idea when that…monster, had moved. But she was now in front of her, her previously gold-streaked black hair was a golden flame that moved as though it was solidified fire.

"I won didn't I?" she asked casually.

Pygmy had never intended to part with the ticket, but now…"H-H-H-ere Y-ou g-g-g-go." She could barely contain her shaking.

She took the ticket with a bright and warm sisterly smile, "Thanks cutie, I better hop to it if I want to get ready for the concert tomorrow."

When the Master noticed she was still trembling and didn't respond. "Huh? Why does no one get good wordplay? I mean that was pun golden." She said gesturing to her hair before it returned to normal.

Was it shorter?

Pygmy simply couldn't process all that happened and passed out while foaming from the mouth.

Mechanic, Crescent Rose

After touching the device that registered her as a member of the Clock Tower, Tinker proceeded to give her the grand tour.

Despite already being the biggest building she had ever seen, it turned out that the interior was several times bigger than the exterior. If that was even possible. It had something to do with the same principles used in inventories.

And while the R&D division was separate from what visitors saw, there were plenty of places where the two interacted.

There were rooms for debating designs, a lot of them were needed by the sheer number of them, a playground, a library for reading, a room devoted to the design of a comic book about the robots they were making, and of course, a cafeteria that was manned by someone named BillMe who had the Superior Job Star Chef.

His food was SO GOOD!

According to Tinker, it wasn't uncommon for people to pig out in the cafeteria or to request snacks or meals be delivered to their workstations.

"This is the BEST CLAN EVER!" Crescent shouted when she saw they had an actual waterpark and rollercoasters inside their clan building.

Complete with complementary swimsuits and vomit bags.

"Are all clans this awesome?" Crescent asked before noticing Wotan was now holding more than Sal. She was also holding a little mechanical duck with a golden gear rotation in its head giving it the appearance of having a mohawk, a pale teal alien-like with big black eyes and a matching mouth the size of a small child, and a little mechanical chameleon-like creature with a strange arrow-shaped head.

The two stared at Wotan for a few moments, neither sure of when or why she had started to carry so many small creatures or even where she got them from.

"The new ones are Sol, Doppel, and Pun." She said smiling as she hugged them dearly.

Crescent looked at Tinker with a fair bit of fear in her eyes, "I'm not going to get kicked out of the clan for my Embryo kidnapping other Embryos…am I?"

"As long as she releases them when their Masters come looking for them and they are here of their own free will?" to that unasked question the creatures in Wotan's embrace all nodded, "Then it should be fine. It isn't uncommon to see Embryos wandering around the clan headquarters."

"It's not like we're the White Fang or anything."

"The White Fang!" Crescent almost jumped out of her skin hearing the name of a terrorist group.

"A-are they in Dendro?"

"The admins don't seem to want to interfere with people's 'freedom' and allow groups like that the same freedom to play as anyone else. Sadly, they've taken root in Tenchi as their 1st ranked clan and have been preaching faunus supremacy ever since." He sighed, "As a result, most human Masters in Tenchi have either fled, stopped logging in, or devoted themselves to PK'ing as many White Fang members as possible." He said, his eyes seeming to hold in a lot more than what was said.

"My wife and daughter are faunus, and while things didn't quite work out, I love them both with my whole heart. So I can't understand their desire for such derision."

"But why Tenchi?"

"Tenchi is both an isolated island country due to geography, but it is also the country with the highest number of faunus in Infinite Dendrogram." (4)

"Thankfully they're on the other side of the continent and they picked the one country full of battle-happy Masters and perpetual tian civil war."

"Let us hope it stays that way."

/-/

Shadow, Ninja_of_Love

Within the land of Tenchi, among the numerous warring clans, and under the Daimyo The Conquest General, there existed four feudal lords. Each possesses a long-standing history within the country itself as well as incredible military power from both tian and Masters alike.

Each governed a different cardinal direction with the city of Dao Ducheng, the starting city for all Master in Tenchi, right in the middle. They were the Hokugen'in in the northeast, Xibaitajia in the west, Nanzhumen in the south, and Toseiden in the southeast.

The north is governed by the Kurobane Family. Not one of the Four Lords, but large enough to maintain their own territory. (5)

Except for Dao Ducheng, which was considered a ceasefire zone and starting point for all Masters in Tenchi, the entire country was embroiled in war and conflict.

Standing at the top of the highest tower in Dao Ducheng, a cat faunus with dark purple hair down to her waist wearing a skintight purple leotard with detached fishnet sleeves and silver tracery down her legs ending at silver high heels with a katana slung over her back.

Any resemblance to a figure of a certain R-rated ninja franchise was simply a coincidence.

It was also just a coincidence that her legs were more shapely than they may or may not have been IRL. Just a coincidence.

The communication cuff in her left cat ear activated and her contact began speaking to her, 'NOL looks like you were right, the White Fang is working with the Nanzhumen and their smuggling wood from the Kamui Forest and plan on leaving some in the Hokugen'in to plant evidence.'

That certainly wasn't good. The Hokugen'in was not only the clan she and Iris Helix belonged to, but it was also the clan the most opposed to the White Fang.

Tapping her ear cuff, 'I'll be there in twenty minutes. I'm in the capital right now.'

'Are you brooding over the tallest building in the city again, hoping that the White Fang will just start causing trouble like cliché movie villains?'

'Nooo, of course not. I'm…in the library.'

'If you say so.'

/-/

Kamui Forest, Tenchi

As one might expect from a fantasy world, the trees were gigantic. Some players have even estimated that if placed in Mantle, the trees would be able to reach near the top of Atlas.

It is said that the best bows and staves are made from the wood found in the Kamui Forest, however, because it took hundreds of years to grow even a single tree, harvesting the wood was heavily regulated and anyone caught illegally taking even a small twig could be heavily punished.

Concealing herself behind a large tree, she observed two of the White Fang members talking. She knew they were White Fang for two reasons, firstly, they had the White Fang red logo on their backs complete with Grimm masks, and second, they looked like anthropomorphic animals.

When more members of the White Fang started showing up, someone spread the idea of 'embracing their faunus identities', somehow that translated into making their avatars anthropomorphic animals.

Sadly, this caused Tenchi to be known as the land of strife…and furries.

"So did you see that hot fox last night?" A beaver man asked looking far too smug for his own good.

"yeah?"

"I banged her last night."

"Dude, you know that's a guy right?"

"What, it doesn't matter online."

"No, online, he's a dude too."

"What no, she's a chick…right?"

"Did you only do it in the back?"

"Well yeah, but that was because she likes it…oh crap I slept with a guy!"

Yeah, just going to end this now.

Before either of them could realize what had happened, they had received the death penalty.

Waste of my time.

Her high-rank job, Shadow, was from the Onmitsu job grouping specialized in stealth and concealment, which allowed her to PK at least thirty of their numbers before a retaliatory force appeared. Thankfully most members focused on pure combat-oriented jobs rather than anything with any kind of reconnaissance or detection ability.

"Got you bitch!" an anthropomorphic badger screamed stabbing his katana into NOL's body…only for it to explode instantly killing him and a dozen of his fellow White Fang members.

Unfortunately, for them, most of them, this meant they didn't have the skills needed to detect her, and with clever usage of Glamour, Disguise, and Illusion Alias from her Illusionist job. and a half dozen gems enchanted with explosive fire magic she got them to PK themselves.

You would think that after the tenth time she did that to them, they would stop falling for it, but that makes at least the thirtieth time by her count.

As they managed to surround her, she briefly melted into shadow before appearing on a high branch overlooking them.

"Brothers and sisters of the White Fang, why are you doing this? Why must you bring conflict to this world? We should be using this as a chance to show humans and faunus can live in peace."

"It's a game you dumb bitch, if we want to go around killing humans, we're gonna do it!" one of them shouted.

"It's not like it IRL!" another, an owl woman, shouted.

A third, a humanoid rabbit, proclaimed, "This is the only place a faunus can get ahead!"

"I met my wife here." A fourth added…for some reason.

"Stop right there, you White Fang scum!" someone else yelled, causing everyone's eyes to turn toward the newcomer.

He was a tall muscular man, shirtless and dressed like something out of a Tarzan movie complete with a thick beard. But unlike the king of apes, he had pants, and his arms were wrapped in serpentine chains.

He was one of Tenchi's few Superiors, The Cage, General Iron.

"I'm sending all of you to Gaol!"

"Starting with you." He said pointing to NOL.

Rather than shocked as some of them had predicted, she instead looked tired, "It's me you idiot, you've seen me interfering with the WF several times now!"

"It doesn't matter, you are trespassing and violating the law."

"How does stopping a terrorist organization count as violating the law."

He just gestured to the crater where one of the giant trees had been rooted to the ground.

"Oh, well…casualty of war?" she offered rather sheepishly.

"Nice try, you will be put on the wanted list and sent to Gaol."

Gaol was a separate space, some thought it was an entirely separate server, where those who got the death penalty after their rights to use a country's save points were revoked by being put on that country's wanted list.

Sure if you had a save point in another country you would respawn there, but you have to register that point first. And that required going to that country first.

If someone got the death penalty before then, or worse was on the wanted list in every country they would be sent to Gaol for sure.

"You don't have the authority to do that!" someone in the crowd shouted having turned from a pitched battle to a bunch of people yelling at each other.

"No, but the Kurobane Family will put you on the wanted list in their territory after I PK you."

"Aren't you also trespassing?"

"OF course not." He replied only as a large group of men quickly appeared. Given that none of them had a crest, it was safe to say they were tians.

"I would beg to differ. You have neither permission nor are you a guest of ours and therefore you are ALL trespassing on our lands."

How could this get any worse?

*CRASH* a giant bear claw smashed a White Fang member before revealing a titanic bear with the title of Ursine God, Kim-un-Kamuy above its head.

Stuck between a clan of tians each at least level 300, a group of terrorist gamers, a tight ass of a Superior, and a Mythical UBM…and all I have is a fourth form Embryo and a high-rank job.

Shit.

Mechanic, Crescent Rose

Crescent silently worked on crafting an air compressor system for the Marshall II. Thankfully the Clock Tower had the recipe card handy. It also helped that her Auto-Fabricate skill helped her auto-craft the item. The skill was still low level so there were more than a few failures, but as she finished her sixth one, she received her much-desired reward.

Quest 'Complete Experimental Marshall II Air Compressor System' Complete

She opened her window and saw the juicy EXP rolling in. She was now level 48.

"Just two more and I'll max out my first job."

"That's great Master." Wotan cheered from behind her. "To celebrate, maybe you could let me-"

"Not until you stop abducting people's Embryos." Crescent replied coldly as she turned to see her Embryo tied up in a kneeling position, her arms tied behind her back, and a sign tied to her chest that read "Repenting for stealing Embryos and children".

While touring the Clock Tower Headquarters Crescent learned two things; one, her Embryo liked picking up small Guardian Type Embryos and carrying them around while giving them simplified names, and two, she can't tell the difference between an Embryo… and a small child in a costume who was accompanying his mother to one of the monthly giant mech shows the clan hosted.

That mom was more terrifying than the Crimson Rockbird. Crescent shivered as she went to work on her next quest to max out her job class and to grind some skills. The max level of skills for low-rank jobs was five, most of hers were two or three.

Even so, this felt a little dull compared to having to fight giant monsters. "I bet Superiors don't have to grind like this."

Hermine, Caldina

Venom Princess, Empress Cryoconite

In her luxury suite apartments at the penthouse of the tallest building in the city, sat a woman working at a desk.

She was tall statues woman with a more than slightly endowed chest wrapped only in bandages inscribed with some type of Huang He-ish marking on them. A stark contrast to her Lilith, petite, and loath as she was to admit it, below average chest size that she had IRL.

Her face was a stoic porcelain mask with piercing ice-blue eyes below long black hair that flowed into a galaxy of purples, blues, and dots of white to show stars tied in a flowing ponytail. On her head, as much to hide her identity as to give a middle finger to her father, were a pair of matching cat ears.

She wore a white and icy blue jacket that hung off her shoulders featuring a design like peacock feathers. Her pants were jet black leading into red and black boots whose heels made it look like she was walking on fangs.

On her left arm was a goldish-red and black gauntlet and around her neck was a spiked dog collar. In short, she looked like a mix of Vaccuan and Mistrilian thug.

Next to the desk were hundreds of inventories, all of which she had filled with poison. She had only recently obtained the Superior Job, Venom Princess after…relieving the King of Venom of the weight of such a lofty title.

She found it amusing how some Superior Jobs changed names depending on the gender of who had it. Of course, jobs like Great Chief Carpenter or God Beast didn't due to their names, but she still felt it amusing to think about.

She had to distract herself sometimes. Otherwise, she would go insane at the repetitiveness of crafting poison, oddly enough.

So she thought about her experience in Infinite Dendrogram.

Starting in Caldina had been a good move. It was the center of the continent and thus the center of trade and trade meant items, quests that went to every country, and LOTS of materials.

Why some chose less pragmatic locations she would never know. Granted she would avoid Dryfe even if it meant going to Tenchi and those…animals.

She didn't hate, faunus specifically, she adored cat ears, but when a group literally makes themselves look like furries and has vowed to kill you and everyone you know and love, it's hard to be sympathetic.

Sighing, she returned to her work. Her Superior Job didn't attack with poison like a Pyromancer attacked with fire but focused on creating and manipulating the poison they created. But that required her to make the poison first.

Even the Poisonmancer, her low-rank job, used a tenth of an inventory of poison for its most basic skill, Poison Bullet.

Sighing again, despite her Superior Embryo having skills to help in crafting, she still had a long night in front of her. Inventories couldn't be put into inventories, no they were so she could refill her Legendary UBM Reward Scarlet Gauntlet, Drag-Blood. It was a special reward she got from beating the Legendary UBM Scarlet Dragon King, Drag-Blood, that allowed her to absorb, amplify, and release poisons.

Looking at her itinerary, she just needed…436 more inventories worth of poison.

Crap.

At least this game has coffee.

(1) For some timeline context, the first SUBM hasn't dropped yet. So, they don't know about them, yet.

(2) it's confirmed canon that Logan Goddhart, as a Superior whose level was over 500, tried and failed to take down the Legendary UBM Great Miasmic Hobgoblin, Gardranda, whose level was less than level 24, due to its ability to continuously poison and debuff his summons.

(3) He is a cannon tian from Infinite Dendrogram. I don't know if he had any special rewards, but given the environment, it's possible. Also, I got his name from Google Translate, so you've been warned.

(4) It is canon for beast men to exist in Tenchi and Huang He, it also wouldn't be that much of a stretch for the Control A.I.'s to have manipulated people into breeding specifically to get faunus in the world of ID. I mean they destroyed their ancient civilization, caused massive death and destruction, and then rewrote their cultures, beliefs, and even their landscapes. Compared to that, making sure there are faunus in ID is honestly not that far of a stretch for them.

(5) I got all of this from the Japanese fan site and had to rely on Google Translate, please forgive me if I got anything wrong.

For the who's who…

Great Huntsmen Portobello = Peter Port. I tried making the name sound as corny as the genuine article. I hope I succeeded.

Thorn Bane = Bram Thornmance. I made a pun on Bram Thornmane's last name and Bane (the Batman villain) as well as a reference to the effect of his Embryo.

Scarlet & Icy Queen = Miltia and Melanie Malachite. The real question is, which is which?

Sweet T. = T. Cornetto. I don't expect anyone to guess who this guy is. If you don't know who that is, he was an Atlas soldier who was responsible for transporting Tyrian after he was captured, but presumed to have been killed by Salem and her Grimm. Since his last name is a type of sweet and we only know his first initial, I dubbed him Sweet T. and made his Embryo sweets related. I still can't believe I went with The Muffin Man.

Sol BlawnD Dragon = Yang Xiao Long. If you didn't already get this, now you know. In season 1 Yang had some abandonment issues due to her mom leaving and this partially manifested in her avatar's design. As for her name, well Yang's name means 'Sun Dragon' so that's where 'Sol Dragon' comes from, and 'BlawnD' is a reference to her voice actor's old Rooster Teeth username, Twitter handle, and current Xbox Gamertag, "BlawnD".

BillMe = Bill. Bill was an employee of the Atlesian Command Center that appeared in "Strings". He had a habit of bringing coffee to his work area, despite there being a rule against food and drinks in central command and his co-workers always reminded him about it. I figured that since he likes to bring a drink, and possibly food, to the workplace, let's make him a Chef. I'll be honest, I didn't put much thought into this one, but I figured the guy needed a win in at least some universe.

Ninja_Of_Love = Blake Belladonna. Apparently, neither the internet nor I can picture Blake as anything other than a ninja. Nor can we expect her to not have a hangup about the White Fang. I might have made her character design based on a certain ninja hentai franchise due to Blake's *ahem* reading habits. I also left her in that situation for one simple reason; she doesn't think things through at all. she runs away and goes to a Huntsmen academy with her disguise only being a literal piece of fabric. She didn't change her name or her outfit (sans the bow), and her plan was what exactly? When she fights with her team, she runs away, trusts a random faunus she only just met, and jumps headfirst into a battle royal with Vale's top criminal and a squad of terrorists with only Sun as backup.

In season 1 Blake did not think things through too well.

Iris Helix = Ilia Amitola. You know she'd follow Blake into a game.

General Iron = General Ironwood. This time the lack of creativity was on purpose. He's not the most creative guy and what does a military general with an obsessive personality (semblance that makes him a sociopath) do when he's got downtime? The answer is to fight terrorists in an online game.

Empress Cryoconite = Wiess Schnee. Yeah, as Weiss said, she went with the whole 'middle finger to daddy' angle on this one. Got rid of the white hair, picked up a more Winter-like body, and remove any trace of the Schnee heiress with a thug-like appearance. I also gave her an Embryo that helps with crafting due in part to her pride in her family heritage, despite her father. Though her daddy issues will come up later as to the nature of her Embryo and its name.
