Author's Notes: Hi, readers. Here's chapter three of "Just Away." It features the first appearances of the villains. I decided to have Scorpina in this fic because I felt she never has enough appearances in fanfiction. She disappeared without warning after Sabrina Lu could not do another episode with another actress not being found in time. You will see her not getting along with Rito as I feel they would have been at each other's throats constantly if she was in season three of MMPR. Stay tuned for chapter four.

Chapter 3: Making Sense of the Situation
Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa stood on the Lunar Palace's balcony thirty minutes later. She looked through the Repulsascope. She could see Kat talking on the phone with Aisha at the hospital. Goldar, Scorpina, and Rito Revolto stood on the second to last stair. Squatt and Baboo were close to the stairs. Rita groaned in disgust before shaking her head rapidly.
"Look at Katherine talking to Aisha on the phone!" Rita said and pointed her finger down her throat. She made gagging sounds. She took it out. "I hate it! I hate it!"
Zedd and Rita turned around with angry snarls. Squatt and Baboo began shaking quite a bit. In fact, it was so bad that it seemed they would not be able to stop.
"I can't believe she turned on us!" Zedd growled as he glared at Squatt and Baboo. "Who'll be next, you two?"
Squatt and Baboo mumbled inaudible and nervous words. Rito scratched his head before clearing his throat.
"Are you always this mean to Squatt and Baboo, Ed?" Rito asked in much curiosity. "They haven't done anything here."
"That's Zedd, you idiot!" Zedd shouted angrily while shooting a glare toward Rito. "Lord Zedd to you!"
Rito waved him off. "Whatever."
"No whatevers, Rito. You need to show Lord Zedd some respect!" Scorpina snarled and flared her nostrils.
"You need to change your hairstyle. It is way outdated," Rito taunted with a snicker.
Scorpina started to go toward him. "Why you—"
Goldar held out his arm, stopping Scorpina. She emitted a loud growl before narrowing her eyes at Rito, who waved at her while laughing. Rita shot glances at each of them, causing them to become quiet.
"I wonder what happened to that spell, anyway," Rita said as Finster walked in with a scroll. "Finster, I want an answer. I want it now!"
Finster cleared his throat while moving past Squatt and Baboo. He stopped in front of them as they covered their faces with their hands.
"In analyzing my data, I conclude that Katherine's attempt to save Kimberly was a totally selfless deed. The goodness of that act overpowered your evil spell and neutralized it completely," Finster explained.
"Oh, well. Nothing lasts forever," Rita said as Squatt and Baboo uncovered their faces.
"That is true," Scorpina agreed. "Still, it sucks ass. Unlike Tommy, Kat broke the spell on her own. The Sword of Darkness had to be destroyed in order for him to be free."
"Don't remind me, Scorpina," Rita hissed while glaring at her. "I hate hearing about that failure!"
"I was just—" Scorpina started.
"Please, don't anger her any further, Scorpina," Goldar insisted as he growled quietly. "I mean it."
Scorpina held up her hands in surrender. She knew when not to argue with her empress. She hated seeing her lose her temper. At least she could take comfort in the fact that she was never the only one who suffered her wrath and that of her emperor.
"What will you do now, my masters?" Baboo asked in a somewhat nervous voice.
"Yes, what will you do?" Squatt added.
"Katherine may have broken through our spell," Zedd admitted as he walked down the stairs with Rita behind him. They passed Finster, Squatt, and Baboo. They stopped a short distance from them. "Fortunately for us, it was after she accomplished what she was sent to do. By putting the Pink Ranger out of commission before she betrayed us, she doomed not only herself but her newfound friends, the Power Rangers, as well!"
"That is so true," Rita agreed with an evil smile. "For now, we should let her enjoy her freedom."
Scorpina came down the stairs along with Goldar and Rito. They came to Zedd's side. Finster headed out of the throne room. He snapped his fingers while whistling softly.
"Kimberly has always been more than she seems," Scorpina said seriously. She ran her hand over her hair, followed by her face. "She managed to defeat several powerful monsters on her own."
"She also managed to defeat both of us several times by herself. Not even Tommy could do that when he was the Green Ranger, despite he is an exceptional fighter," Goldar pointed out matter-of-factly.
Scorpina groaned irritatingly. "I know. The only time Tommy could do such a thing was when he was under Rita's control and was being fed endless amounts of power by her. I admit he has defeated us and monsters on his own a few times due to his White Ranger powers, but it is nowhere near as much as his girlfriend has. Jason has defeated each of us by himself twice."
"No Power Ranger should have an ability like Kimberly does," Goldar commented as he swung his sword from side to side. He flared his nostrils three times before curling his lip into a snarl. "Powerful warriors like us should have no problem defeating those Power Punks."
Rito cleared his throat and rubbed his chin. "It is almost as if she is from another planet."
"It sure does sound that way," Baboo agreed.
"I remember when Mom gave birth to our baby sister, Rito. She was so beautiful. Mom and Dad decided to name her Kara. They said she would be very powerful one day. Then Mom decided to flee with us not long after Kara's birth. She thought Dad had gone 'mad' with power. His guards retrieved us, but she managed to get away with Kara. She went to Zordon, who helped to hide her. We haven't seen Kara since. She could be dead for all we know. Mom fought alongside Zordon until Goldar killed her during a raid on an Earth village," Rita said, gritting her teeth very tightly. "I will never forgive her for stealing Kara away."
"I never will either," Rito said, his eye sockets flashing red. "Dad is still looking for Kara. He misses her terribly. He wants to find his baby girl and reunite her with his other one."
Zedd became thoughtful. "You don't think Kimberly could be—"
The others looked at Zedd as if he had gone insane. They knew he was talking about the possibility of Kim being Rita and Rito's long-lost sister. Rita and Rito shook their heads so rapidly that they appeared to be blurs. Goldar and Scorpina swallowed hard before taking deep breaths.
"Unh-unh! There is no way in hell that pink pest could be my little sister. She looks nothing like anyone in my family!" Rita snarled in ferocity.
"You got that right, sis!" Rito agreed.
"I was just making a suggestion!" Zedd said in much frustration. "Damn. You didn't have to bite my head off! Kimberly is powerful like your family is. It is a possibility, albeit a very slight one."
"No! I refuse to consider it! Kimberly is not where Rito and I are from!" Rita screeched. "She is from somewhere else! I will not discuss this further. No way, no how!"
Rita stomped out of the room. Everyone stared after her before turning to each other. Rito gave a shrug and let out a soft chuckle. Goldar rubbed the back of his neck.
"Rita has always had a bit of a temper. Mom was similar to her when she was a little girl," Rito said.
"You are quite right, Rito," Zedd agreed and waved his fingers in front of the skeleton's face. "You don't seem to have much of a temper yourself. You are more laid back."
"I got that from Dad," Rito said very proudly. He stroked his chin before letting out a soft snort. "He is pretty laid back, though he does take being evil seriously. He does have a bit of a temper that he can lose if he is pushed too far."
"I do not know want to know how far he can be pushed before he loses his temper," Squatt said in much fear.
"Me neither," Baboo added while whimpering in a soft way. He emitted a quiet gulp before shuddering badly. "Oh, me. Oh, my."
"You two always push Ed to the point where he loses his temper," Rito said, glancing at the duo.
"It's Zedd!" the others yelled in much irritation.
"Oh, whatever," Rito said as he waved the group off. He snorted, disgusting Scorpina badly. "Maybe Ed—"
"It's Lord Zedd, dumbass!" Zedd screamed, his visor flashing very red along with his body. "Z-E-D-D. My name is Lord Zedd!"
"Okay. Calm down," Rito commented while holding up his sword. "I'll just make like a tree and leave."
Rito walked off while snapping his fingers and singing nonsense. Zedd shook his head in disbelief. He turned to the others. He began talking about his and Rita's honeymoon.
