I don't own The Sound of Music. I just write for fun and not profit. Not sure if I will leave it as is or add another chapter, if time permits. Was trying to get this up in time for the proboard advent calendar, but I'm a teacher and wasn't quick enough to get it typed up, but here it is anyways. Hope you all enjoy and Merry Christmas!

Sometimes all we need is a second chance

Georg discovers that snowflakes are one of his favourite things.

Maria sat alone, waiting for him. The villa was frighteningly quiet; Maria was terrified; her mind held terrible thoughts. What had happened? Read and find out what it meant for everyone.

Christmas is upon the von Trapp household and the children have a plan to make it the best Christmas ever.

A few weeks into their unbearably chaste engagement, Georg gets an idea from one of the children's pranks.

This is a story that I have been thinking about for a while. Not too AU just changed a little of the story line. Maria does go back to the abbey because of Elsa. The Captain and Elsa do not get engaged. What happens while she is gone? And what happens when she return?

A short one shot. Maria says her bedtime prayers in the midst of her anxieties about the children's well-being, her fear of caring too much for the Captain, and her certain uncertainty of being able to serve the Lord like she had originally promised herself.

Set in 1941. As the von Trapps prepare for their first winter in Vermont, the obtain wool socks in a surprising way. Kurt, now 15, worries that wearing the socks will make him a sissy.

"Well, none of these will do," Maria muttered to herself, eye brows furrowing as she cast a curious glance over her shoulder at the Baroness standing in her doorway. A slight A/U!

What if Herr Zeller told the Captain that he would be recruited by the Nazi Navy the day of the Party? Maria and Elsa have very different reactions to this alarming news and the Captain has to decide who he can trust with planning an escape while pretending that everything in his aristocratic life is fine.
