This chapter will take a very sharp turn from the actual series and is inspired by various action films.

Chapter 3- A New Alliance
Unknown location
Jackson groaned as his shoulder flared in pain. Seong Gi-Hun, the man who had saved his life in the first Game, rubbed his shoulder, easing the swollen muscle.
"You need to be more careful." Gi-Hun warned.
"Yeah no s***," Jackson replied in perfect Korean. "What do you think I'm trying to do?"
Gi-Hun tilted his head in curiosity. "You speak Korean, but your accent is foreign."
"Yeah, I lived in the United States of America for most of my life." Jackson replied, sitting up as his back pressed against a solid cold metal wall.
"Ah, you're American." Gi-Hun nodded in recognition.
"Yeah, I just moved back here when well…this happened." Jackson finished, gesturing to the room they were in.
Gi-Hun snorted. "Yeah, this wasn't what I was expecting."
"I don't think anyone was expecting this." Jackson muttered.
Gi-Hun perked up, hearing some kind of rattling in the vents above.
"You hear that?" he asked Jackson.
"Hear what?" Jackson frowned.
The rattling grew louder and Jackson looked up now.
The vent swung wide open and a small black object dropped onto the ground, before the vent closed back up again.
"Is this a phone?" Gi-Hun asked, picking it up and inspecting it.
"A burner phone, yes." Jackson confirmed. Suddenly, it began ringing, the vibrations spreading up his arm.
"Who is it?" Gi-Hun asked with narrowed eyes.
"Unknown number." Jackson replied quickly, answering it.
"Hello?"
"Jackson Lee," a cold voice said. "It is pleasure to finally speak to you."
"Who is this?" Jackson demanded.
"Someone with a lot of power and influence. Someone who truly wants to hurt you." The person replied.
"What do you want?" Jackson snarled.
"Nothing. But I do have someone with me who wants to say hi to you," the person said. "Isn't that right, Juni."
A female scream rang out and Jackson's blood went ice cold.
"Jackson don't!" Juni screamed through the phone. "It's a trap!"
"And that's enough of your good ol' sister!" the person replied, taking the phone back. "Now that you're in the Games, you'll never be able to get your sister. Enjoy what little time you have left."
With that, the phone line went dead.
"F***!" Jackson screamed, throwing the phone. Gi-Hun remained silent the entire time, his face pale with worry.
Jackson sank to the floor, putting his face in his hands.
"What am I going to do now?" he muttered.
"You're going to rescue your sister," Gi-Hun said firmly. "And you won't be alone this time. I'll help you."
"You will?" Jackson was surprised. "We barely know each other."
"I have a daughter," Gi-Hun confessed. "If she was kidnapped, I know you'd do the same for me."
Jackson smiled in appreciation and gripped Gi-Hun's hand.
And in that moment, a new alliance was formed.
"How are we going to do this?" Gi-Hun asked Jackson as they, along with all the players who survived the previous game waited in an arena.
"Leave the rest to me." Jackson said confidently.
A guard approached Jackson and he tensed, waiting for the right moment.
"And…now."
Jumping up, Jackson landed a solid punch to the guard's face. Without waiting another moment, he spun and delivered a kick that completely knocked the guard to the ground.
"Everyone run! Now!" Jackson roared. Nobody needed more encouragement than that.
Gi-Hun grabbed the nearest guard and punched him hard. As a guard aimed his gun at Jackson, a woman leapt and did a spin kick, sending him down.
Jackson stared, surprised, his jaw nearly unhinged.
"You welcome. Now let's go." The woman said.
Needing no more instructions, Jackson, Gi-Hun and the woman raced towards the exit, Jackson using various kicks and sweeps to take down any guards that attacked them.
"Keep moving!" Jackson shouted. "Don't stop!"
Gi-Hun shoulder barged the door, knocking it down as they rushed out.
Worry flooded Jackson's mind like a monsoon. He needed to rescue his sister.
No matter what.
And done. So now Jackson knows that Juni has been kidnapped and he and Gi-Hun are going to rescue her.
They'll also be joined by a few others.
