Mass Effect the Immortal Series Part 1: Flight of the Normandy.
Chapter 31: Dragon In the City
NORTH YORKSHIRE, ENGLAND
Major Carl Reynolds was enjoying his time with his family after so long at sea with the Normandy Crew. He was an old major on the verge of retiring when he was trapped on the elusive alien vessel. He was with his wife along with his three children and their grandchildren. They were there over the summer and he was enjoying their company after spending it alone with others under the ocean. The warm sun caressing his face was a huge changer to the dark cold ocean depths or the metallic walls of the Normandy.
He sat there on his chair overlooking the artificial lake that he had built on his property. It wasn't a large one, only a few hundred feet long, and less than half that wide, but it made up for it with peace and beauty. He was enjoying himself as his grandchildren wanted to hear stories of his adventures to outer space on an alien vessel.
Just as he went to listen to the radio the news began to spread about China and the monster there wreaking havoc. There was a lot of things going on in the world and today Major Reynolds is just going to relax and have fun.
Until his omni-tool came to life.
"Major Kowalsky, Major Reynolds you have been reactivated," the very familiar voice of EDI came over the intercom. And Major Reynolds cursed as he looked at the holographic thing on his left arm.
"EDI love, why the hell would you bother me when I am enjoying my semi-retirement here with my family?" Major Reynolds said in a sing song voice.
"The creature that is terrorizing Shanghai is Martha," EDI replied, making Major Reynolds jump as EDI relayed images to him of the attack that she had captured from news media, phone footage and traffic cameras.
"My God!" he said, noticing that the creature burned through army tanks like butter.
"I need you and your team to meet with Major Kowalsky in Australia. I have already arranged transport and you should prepare to depart immediately," EDI said to him.
"Now hang on a minute! Don't you go rushing me off to some mission without honest answers EDI, like what the fuck do you mean that the creature there is Martha?" he said to his glowing arm. The device was in full view of his family now. They all stopped what they were doing to watch him arguing with a voice on the other end, annoyance clearly on his face.
"DNA analysis confirmed to match Martha." was the reply and Major Reynolds cursed his luck.
"What happened to her?" was the question that came from his mouth.
"I believe Alexandria Wilcox accelerated her mutation by almost a hundred percent. Therefore she has fully mutated into the monster from my homeworld." EDI replied her voice sounded worried. Major Reynolds cursed when he heard this.
"You are fucken shitting me!" he said to her.
"I have already alerted the other members of the Normandy security team along with some new teammates that you would find accommodating. I have sent the Hammerhead to pick you up at your coordinates and should arrive within two Earth hours." EDI said to him, leaving him wondering what the AI was thinking.
Just as he was thinking about hanging up another signal came in, this one came from his good friend Major Kowalski.
"Kowalski? Is that you?" said Major Reynolds. His voice sounded happy to hear from his American friend.
"Yeah man, I'm here. Just got picked up with the Kodiak and holy shit it was something. So is the Hammerhead heading your way?" Major Kowalski asked. His voice sounded uncertain as Reynolds felt. A simple affirmative was all he could give to his partner. But what EDI said about newcomers was all news to him. Something must have happened when he and Major Kowalsky returned to their homes.
"I don't know about you mate, but EDI's briefing on Martha is out of some sort of science fiction movie. I mean little Martha transformed into some sort of monster. What the fuck is the world coming to," said Major Reynolds, his voice disbelieving at what Martha was doing in China.
Just as he said this, his wife came rushing out to him just as the sound of engines could be heard. He looked up to see the familiar sight of the Hammerhead coming down from the sky.
"Well, it looks like EDI was off about the timing. The Hammerhead is here," Major Reynolds said to his colleague. And he could hear Major Kowalski laughing in his ear as the Hammerhead landed in front of him, and the doors opened automatically.
"Can I at least say goodbye to my family before I head off into action again, EDI?" Major Reynolds said to the A.I. and only a brief affirmative was said before he looked at his wife in sadness.
"I am sorry honey, but when you are bound to an alien vessel, its word is my command," he said to her sarcastically. His wife looked at him sadly before she gave him a hug.
"I know dear I wish...I wish we had more time together," she said her voice hitched as if ready to cry. She had just gotten him back and now he has to leave again.
"Your husband will be alright Mrs. Reynolds. If you wish I can patch the camera feed from his omni-tool to you so you can see him," said EDI from Major Reynold's wrist.
"I don't like violence, EDI, was it?" she said to her.
"I apologize on behalf of myself. I am still learning about human behaviors. It would take me some time to understand the complex human familiar structure." EDI replied to her. The woman blushed when she realized that EDI can hear her.
"Don't worry Sarah, EDI is harmless. In fact she maybe a computer but she can hack into anything. So if you have questions you could always ask." Major Reynolds said to her.
"Ok...but what will I tell the children?" she said indicating the group of children behind her.
"Oh leave that to me lass," Major Reynolds said to her before addressing the rest of the family.
"Sorry Kids, Grandpa has to go help his alien friends out again," he said to them. One of the children stepped forward a little girl about five. He picked her up and held her as other watched.
"Will we get to meet an alien grandpa?" she said to him and he sighed. "Maybe one day sweetie, maybe one day." Major Reynolds said to her as he made his way into the house to get changed. When he emerged in a skin tight suit one that looked a bit out of place in modern society. The symbol on the side was that of the Normandy with the earth behind it. Martha had designed it as a prototype and the image seemed to fit the ship maybe with a few tweaks it can be an awesome symbol of the ship and crew.
Major Reynolds remembered it well when she presented it back at the hospital. He never knew that they managed to make it into uniforms.
"Alright lets get this shit going!" he said to the group of men awaiting him in the vessel. They saluted him as he took one last look at his family. His wife and his children and grandchildren waved at him before he disappeared into the craft. They watched as the Hammerhead slowly lifted off the ground, all three of its turbines roaring to life as it rose. The wind pushing everything back as Major Reynolds looks outside the window to see his family below him. He waves at them one last time before shooting off into the sky.
SHANGHAI, CHINA
The city burned as dark wings flew overhead. Fire was everywhere and Wei Kexing and his husband were being held by two very strange people. In fact they looked like they had been in prison for some time.
That is until one of them came out of the shadows of the building. Zhou Wangji a close second behind him. But then, another scream was heard, and they turned just in time to see Wen Cheng and Jiang Ziyuan come to a stop just in front of them. Both of them had a baby each in their slings to keep them safe, and both children were unsettled.
A roar ripped through the skies, letting them know that the creature overhead was still there.
"Quickly inside," said the large alien as they were ushered inside. Scared and covered in ash, both husbands checked on their friends.
"What the fuck is going on here?" said Wen Cheng noticing that the room is full of people. Wei Kexing finally noticed for the first time. They were not all human from their appearance and from the rising panic outside they were not alone.
They were interrupted by a roar overhead. Hastily Zhou Wangji grabbed his husband, "We have to go," he said to him.
"Wait," said a voice and they turned to see the largest monster they had ever seen walk to them. "Come with us we can lead you to safety," he said to them. The four of them looked at each other trying to understand how this strange creature can speak Mandarin, but that was before the explosion hit above them.
"We gotta move NOW!" said Jiang Zixuan as she started to run with a baby strapped to her. Her husband followed following the soldiers. Kexing and Wangji both looked towards the skies and the growing fire approaching. How the creature consumed those that tried to escape, leaving both men scared. But it was once again Wangji that pulled his husband after the fleeing crowd.
When they entered the building the group stopped to take a breath only for the roof to start collapsing above them. The sounds of claws scratching the roof became something that scared all of them as the creature decided to go after them now. The roar that it made was enough to scare them, but it was the caving in of the roof that had them moving. The screams of the millions of people being eaten or burned alive was brought into their memories.
"We need to do something," said the Prothean.
The others looked at him all with the same conclusion. "We need to give the men more time to prepare. I just got word from headquarters that help is on the way," said Manea the Asari.
"Good," said Liu as he looked at the group of humans with them. "We need to get these civilians to safety," he said.
"Now hold on a minute! Who the fuck are you people? Are you really aliens?" he said his mouth was going at a million miles a minute trying to get as much information as possible. The Krogan held up his hand for the man to be silent.
"First off who the hell are you?" he said looking at Kexing. It was Wangji that answered, "He is Dr. Wei Kexing of the University of Beijing. And I am his husband Zhou Wangji we both study Xenobiology and Xenophysics," he said to them it was the Asari who nodded to them.
"Very well I am Liu Dong of the Hong Kong Clan. This is Manea Dionissia an Asari Commando of the Asari Nation our friend over there is a Prothean that I didn't get his name yet. But we are trying. We have a friend that we need to get to the water immediately," he said to them. Wei Kexing felt for him as they neared the truck where the creature was. All he saw was a fish tail and several people putting wet towels and cloth on him. Someone even had him trying to drink from a hose.
"He is a Serena he needs to get to water now," said Manea.
Wei Kexing and Zhou Wangji looked at each other before Wen Cheng spoke up.
"I know a place where he can be safe. Let me drive," he said and they all got in.
SOMETIME LATER
When they got to the docks at record speed, the fires in the city could be seen for miles as the night sky was lit up with the red flames of death. Wen Cheng quickly got out of the van.
"Quickly, this way my family has a boat, we can load him in and get him out to sea. The waters here are too polluted for him," he said, and they rushed to get him into a boat which was a decent size.
"Cheng, I did not know you had this?" said Kexing as they loaded everyone in there.
"Of course not! you spent all your time at work and not enough with your family like I have," he said as he started the engine. Jiang Ziyuan held her two children together as they got out. The men they had all loaded onto the boat with them. As he pushed the boat out to sea, the Chinese Navy was already set out to stop them.
"Shit!" said Wen Cheng.
"Well, this is just great," said Wei Kexing. He did not look pleased at all.
"No, this is bad," said Wen Cheng as he slowed the boat to a stop.
"He needs to get into the water now!" said Liu noticing that their water pumps had run out and their Serena friend was starting to suffocate.
"We should be clear of the polluted waters in about five seconds," he said and just as he said it the dark dirty waters of the Shanghai bay had been gradually clearing out till finally they were free of the dirt.
"Throw him in NOW!" said Wen Cheng and Liu Dong and the Prothean with them managed to throw the Serena into the water. There was a course of bubbles for a bit before the merman came close to the boat. He bowed to them before making signs with his hands.
"What does he say?" asked Jiang Ziyuan she was fascinated by the merman.
"He says that he can get past the boats. He is too small for them to notice him. And more important he can dive deep. He will rally up whatever forces he can to go after Alexandria if she is anywhere along the coast. If he can get up the riverways, then he will get to her there," said the Prothean as he signed back to him. The Serena gave the ok sign before diving down into the dark depths of the ocean, disappearing from view.
"Alright let's head back," said Wen Cheng.
SOMEWHERE OVER INDIA
Two streaks came crashing through the skies as they crossed the Indian airways towards the east. Within an hour, both the Kodiak and the Hammerhead had crossed many countries into India. Both Major Reynolds and Major Kowalski were in the back as others on their team were flying the machines. All of them looked armed and all of them had experience with alien technology.
"Alright listen up people. What we are about to face is one of our own. According to EDI's intelligence, the monster we are facing is Martha." Major Kowalski said to them. Instantly heads began to pick up. They were well aware of the pilot and what happened not too long ago.
"So here is the deal. We are going to try and capture her alive and bring her back to the Normandy. Hopefully we can get her under control," Major Kowalski said to them.
"And if we can't?" asked on the officers his voice sounded like a wounded child.
"Then we don't have any other options but to kill her. But that is a last resort and only a last resort," Major Kowalski said.
"I won't be the one to put down the lass. She has been through too much already. According to EDI's reports she is attacking the city of Shanghai in Eastern China. So be prepared for a LOT of civilian casualties. She pretty much caught the PLA by surprise when she lit the place up, understood," Major Reynolds said to them and they all nodded.
"Alright suit up. We will be there in about an hour and fifteen minutes." said Major Kowalski as he ordered his team to get ready for battle.
SHANGHAI, CHINA
"Sir we just lost it in the clouds," said the Prothean. Liu cursed as he seen it being chased by some jets from the PLA. Minutes later, those same jets came crashing down. As they did the monster came right at them with mouth and flames fully open. Cursing he leaped out of the way as the stream of fire melted several cars and roasted whoever was in charge.
"Sir, we need to do something!" shouted a human that stood behind them. He looked worse for wear and was holding up another man that looked injured.
"We need to contain that monster!" said another, this one an Asari.
"Then we need a plan," said Liu and just as he said it the building that they were in started to crumble as a pair of claws made contact. The creature had found them and as they ran out of the building fire could be seen from the building as it breathed concrete-melting flame into it. He could hear the screams of the ones who did not make it. Right beside him were the scientists and their families. The monster spread its wings and roared to the heavens.
But that roar was cut short when out of the skies, fire came down on it. This time the creature screamed in pain. It turned towards the approaching object and breathed flame at it. Then it spread its wings to pursue it.
As if things hadn't gotten baffling enough, another object approached them, this one from the ground. It looked like a high-tech hover craft with a cannon on top of it. As it approached, it slowed to a stop before the doors opened.
Several people in strange suits came out, all of them armed. When they pointed their guns at Liu and the rest it was Wei Kexing who stopped them. He ran to them and started yelling.
"STOP DON'T SHOOT!" he said trying to test his faith.
The men in the vehicle aimed at the man until a voice intervened, "Lower your weapons, they are not our enemy." then out of the ship came Major Reynolds. He was in full battle gear, ready to fight. It was then that they all lowered their guns, even Liu's men who had gotten theirs from the fallen PLA soldiers.
"I am Major Reynolds, chief security officer of the Normandy. We come in peace and wish to help," he said in English, looking at the sleuth of aliens gathered. He was impressed by the reports that EDI has provided on the way over.
"The Normandy? Is that the name of this vessel?" asked Wei Kexing before forgetting his manners. "Sorry my name is Wei Kexing I am a Xenobiologist and this is my husband Zhou Wangji and my good friends Wen Cheng and his wife Jiang Ziyuan and the aliens are friends. They helped us get away from that creature," Wei Kexing said to him. It was then that Major Reynolds noticed the two babies strapped to both scientists.
"Jesus Christ you just had to have done it. You, EDI tells me that you are trust worthy," Major Reynolds said pointing to Liu. "What's your name?" he asked.
"I am Liu Dong of the Krogan. This is Manea Dionissia of the Asari; my second in Command; and these are our people. As much as we like to talk, that machine of yours can do some damage. I saw what it did to that creature up there. Think we can use it to kill it?" Liu asked this time in English.
"We are not here to kill that creature. That creature is the pilot of the Normandy," said one of the soldiers and Major Reynolds sent a glare to the man who quickly shut up.
"The pilot of the Normandy? That thing is the pilot?" said Wei Kexing. His voice rose several octives making several people wince.
"You mean to tell me that the creature we had been avoiding was once human," said the Asari Manea.
"Martha used to be human until Alexandria Wilcox did her experiments," a new voice said and everyone who did not know it looked around confused.
"What the fuck was that?" said Liu who by now was ready for a fight. Major Reynolds laughed as he took off his helmet, "That is EDI our resident artificial intelligence. She is the Normandy's main computer system. She helped us track down and find you. She said you can help since you know the area." Major Reynolds replied to them.
"To clarify, I said that the scientists could help. Liu is not originally from this area and neither are the others. However his combat expertise could help us in capturing Martha and bringing her back to the Normandy for treatment. Also, if you prove yourself worthy I can ask Emiko to allow you to become one of our security officers," EDI replied to him. Liu thought about it, "This Normandy is a ship?" he said.
"Yeah, it is the alien vessel that was once on the bottom of the ocean," Major Reynolds told him. The four scientists eyes went wide when it was mentioned. However their conversation was ruined when a loud roar was heard and a stream of flame followed by lightning lit up the skies. It was then that Major Reynolds took action.
"Alright Mr. Dong, Ms. Dionissia if you both would lead your squad onto the hammerhead we can get you to safety and then capture that creature." Major Reynolds said to him but everyone shook their heads.
"If this Martha is the one causing all the harm why hasn't she come to her senses?" asked Wen Cheng and it was Liu who translated. Thankfully EDI was there to reply for the lost look on Major Reynolds.
"Martha's cognitive thought is gone. Instead, it is replaced by instinct. We have to capture her and hopefully wake her in order to return her back to her normal self," the AI as they all sat down and strapped in. It was extremely cramped in there as there were several soldiers as well as civilians on the vessel as Major Reynolds gave the signal to take off. As they rose from the ground the people in the ship barely felt a thing.
"How is that possible? Is this alien tech?" asked Zhou Wangji. Major Reynolds smirked, "The Hammerhead and it's sister ship the Kodiak were onboard the Normandy when we activated the ship. It is what we used to get back the Ocean Odyssey." The other's eyes went wide as they felt something. When they looked behind them there was a massive explosion. Fire spread throughout the skies as the city burned.
"Alright folks, I want cannons on full power we need to get her attention and bring her down," Major Reynolds said to them.
"So if that is the pilot and she was once human Alexandria must have done some horrid things to her?" asked Jiang Ziyuan. Her eyes held curiosity as well as fear. She held her children to her for protection and comfort. Major Reynolds nodded grimly, "I'm afraid what she has done was accelerate the inevitable. We need to do something, but what, I don't know," he said. By then the Kodiak came into view it hovered beside the Hammerhead.
"Hey Reynolds, you there?" said Major Kowalski. Major Reynolds tapped his ear, "Yeah I'm here, what you got?" he said to him.
"I think I have a way to bring her down. Don't biotics have a weakness?" he said. Major Reynolds is no biotic but Manea is.
"They have, and that is when they overuse their biotics they have to discharge the electricity and recharge. She is eating massive amounts of food to sustain herself, but in order to discharge, she needs to be somewhere that can handle her discharge. What are you thinking?" she asked Major Kowalski.
"Well, I was thinking we can trap her someplace where they can release her energy and at he same time prevent her from getting anymore fuel. She would be cranky, but she would be weak and we can catch her at the same time. But in order to do that we have to bring the facility to her. Major cables to discharge her build up and one solid hit to the chest or wings to immobilize her." Major Kowalski said to her.
"Sounds like a plan but how are we going to get the cables on?" asked Major Reynolds. It was then his screen lit up and he saw the tanks and the army there.
"We have the people who can do it? Um, do any of you speak Mandarin?" he asked and Liu laughed, "I do I can translate," he said to them. "Alright sounds like a plan mate. How do we go about this?" Major Reynolds said to them.
LATER
They managed to chase the dragon towards the waiting army of PLA soldiers. They all stood there with nets ready made from last minute cables, and jets flying over the city. When they spotted the beast, it was wreaking havoc over the other people around them. As they did so jets flew overhead alongside the Kodiak and the Hammerhead. They flew in formation while the dragon itself was burning another part of the city.
As it looked ahead of them they spotted it flying in circles. A single jet was there trying to dogfight it before it was taken down.
"Alright Liu, translate for us will ya. Tell them I want Red and Gold groups to a strafing run on the west while Blue and Silver go from the east. The Hammerhead will come from the North while the Kodiak will come from the south. Both East and South groups will drive her north towards Red and Gold and that is where the Hammerhead will strike. Each strike to the wing closest to the muscle is her weak point," Major Kowalski said to them. The image in front of him lit up and showed a display. This display showed Martha's full body form and potential weaknesses.
"But that all depends if we can get her biotics to a point where it is weak enough to penetrate. That means denying her the chance to feed got that?" he said to them. They all nodded as they started their run.
By then the dragon was already angry as it went after them. But they were ready. Major Reynolds was surprised when Martha let loose a pulse of energy which deactivated a lot of aircraft in the area. Airplanes and helicopters both began to fall save for the older machines.
Of course there was also the Kodiak and the Hammerhead.
"Ah fuck! She has biotics as well as fire breath, go shoot me a new asshole," said the pilot but Major Reynolds thought about something. It was something he had read as a kid. Then it clicked turning rapidly he saw Liu there looking anxious.
"Liu was it?" he said to the Krogan the Krogan nodded. "I need you to get to the cannon. If you can get to the cannon you can manually aim for the wing junction just like the other team is doing. We are going to need a team effort to incapacitate her." Major Reynolds said. Liu nodded in agreement before climbing into the area where the cannon is located. When he sat in the seat he was shocked at the controls.
"Wow, now this is high tech shit!" he said to himself out loud.
All the while Wei Kexing was fidgeting with his finger. Surrounded by tech he had never seen before this seemed to capture the notice of both is husband and Major Reynolds.
"I know you are used to laboratories, doctors, but this is not your jurisdiction." said Major Reynolds but Wei Kexing looked down at his feet knowing he wants to do something but he can't. It was another Krogan who translated what he was saying to Mandarin for him.
"Perhaps you can help in other ways," EDI's voice came over the intercom. Her metallic voice spoke in perfect mandarin which shocked Wei Kexing and the others. Major Reynolds understood her perfectly thanks to his omni-tool's translator.
"Um, how can I help?" Wei Kexing asked her, looking around for a speaker. In fact he was looking for a camera and didn't find one.
"You have information into the experiments that Martha was subjected too. Though not directly involved you could perhaps explain a bit about your research. After all you are no longer employed with your employer, who just so happens to be the most wanted criminal in the world." EDI replied. That got the group of scientists attention.
"Criminal? We were working for criminals?" said Wen Cheng. His voice was high-pitched as he clutched his wife close to him. The newborns began to sniffle, indicating they are going to express their fear when their mother started shushing them.
"If there is any indication of criminal activity on your part they had been erased, for you were not involved directly with her. However, the research you have done on our pilot could prove valuable to the nature of her change. Perhaps if we can find this out we can locate the other person which has gone missing." EDI informed them as the cannons began to go off above them.
Suddenly, something slammed into them and alarms began to blare. The newborns started to cry, showing their fear. However, thanks to everyone being strapped in and the inertial dampeners turned on, the impact felt like it was only minimum.
"Is everyone alright?" Major Reynolds asked them EDI quickly translated for them. When everyone said they were alright Major Reynolds turned towards the pilot.
"Son, let me get a seat, I want to fly this bird," he said to the person in the chair.
The pilot quickly moved out allowing him to get in and take control. Switching controls to him, he was thankful for the autopilot so that way the transition was smooth. Strapped in, he put on the headpiece which gave him a heads-up display of the target.
Martha was busy chasing the Kodiak which managed to fly interference but for how long it could hold up.
"Hey Carl is that you?" Major Kowalski's voice said over the comm unit.
"Yeah it's me mate, listen I got an idea how we can bring her down. Have you ever seen that American film Pearl Harbor?" he said his idea came to him suddenly but it was there.
"Wait? I did see that with the wife just before I left for Afghanistan. Are you talking about the chicken scene?" Major Kowalski said to him Major Reynolds replied, "Yeah the same one lad. Bring her to me and I will take care of the rest." he said to him.
"Fuck man you sound like Matthew McConaughey when he brought down that dragon in Reign of fire!" Major Kowalski said excitedly. Major Reynolds could hear him pounding his fist on the dash of the ship.
"Alright Liu did you hear that?" Major Reynolds said to the Krogan in the cannon seat.
"Loud and clear," Liu said on the other end.
"Alright ladies and gentlemen, I suggest remain seated as we bring this bitch down," he said as he pushed the stick forward. The ship started moving forward rapidly with Liu on the cannon and himself watching the guns. As he started to engage he saw that the Kodiak was hit with a massive fireball.
"Alright Liu, when I give the signal, open fire," he said and Liu did as he was told. When Martha the monster came closer to them fire breath in hand to flame the Kodiak again both Major Reynolds and Major Kowalski timed it as they came closer and closer.
As they were doing that the four civilian passengers and their fellow passengers all held onto each other or to something as the monster seemed to shoot right at them.
"LIGHT HER UP!" Major Reynolds called out and Liu opened fire on the underbelly of the monster as it flew past them. Martha sent one last blast at them before falling towards the ground. They could see her bones sticking out from where they were broken. The hole that was shot open in her belly clearly seen from able. The Hammerhead did a U-turn as it swung around and made a landing right next to the dragon where it lay.
The monster was moaning in agony giving off the occasional shrill cry. When the Hammerhead turned its fans horizontal and landed, the hatch was already opened. Armed troops came pouring out alongside their alien comrades. The Kodiak followed suit, though it looked worse for wear. Martha stared at them with eyes full of pain as she seemed to be hacking something.
"Everyone get back!" Major Kowalski said to them as they expected another fireball at them. Instead what came up was a human body.
A fully intact and still alive human body. Both Major Reynolds and Major Kowalski confirmed it when they approached and when they flipped the body over to their shock it was a familiar face.
It was Dr. Alenkov.

A/n: Holy shit this chapter was hard to write. I had to play ME2 and still had writer's block. Not only that I am now working 14 to 15 hours a week because they fired my two coworkers leaving me as the sole full timer at work. So trying to get the energy to write was very difficult. Thankfully I had some new inspiration thanks to getting a cold and watching some Netflix for inspiration. Found it in Gundam Unicorn. So I was able to write this chapter and finish it. Surprised by the cliffhanger?
