Hey everyone! Quick AN, I'm so sorry this took like, I think a month to get up. I completely forgot to post the last chapter and then this current one, chapter 6, took me forever to write do to being sick. But, MASS update for my fics, so yay!

Zero found out, very quickly, that he hated paperwork.

Most importantly, he found out he hated paperwork he didn't know how to do.

"How does this work? It doesn't make sense! Do these mini-heroes even read?" Izuku groaned in frustration from his desk. He heard Nedzu chuckle from his own room, and for the fourth time that hour stormed in there.

"It's so stupid! This Nomi Naoaki kid cannot read!" He exclaimed, throwing himself into a chair. "First you wanna apply for two heroes, and when you are questioned for how you are going to manage it, you say 'they'll just have to work around me'? No sir, you are not All Might. And even then!"

"Now you see why I needed an assistant, Zero! These students clearly don't respect my time."

"So they can disrespect mine now?" Zero asked with a half-hearted glare.

"Of course! Now, quit your complaining. You've got Construction and Design today."

Zero said nothing as he walked to his office once more, papers in hand now seeming like his saviour. Construction and Design. "Lovely."

"I heard that, Zero!" Nedzu chirped from his room. Zero just flipped off the rotating camera.

He was not prepared for his next class.

"Quiet, class," Majima said from his pedal stool. Zero stood awkwardly in front of the class, curious eyes following his every move. As long as they weren't as hectic as Class 1A, he would survive, but from what Nedzu had told him, he wasn't expecting different results. "Introduce yourself, kid."

"Right, uh, I'm Zero Nedzu, nice to meet you, I hope we can enjoy these next years together." There, that was fine and dandy. Simple.

"NEDZU!" A girl with bright pink hair screamed, practically zooming towards him. Unable to counteract the grinning girl, and not really wanting to, he let his face be grabbed and inspected. "I know you! My old man made your hero costume!"

"Wait- what?"

"Hatsume, go sit down." Majima let out an exhausted sigh. "Look, class, I know you are all itching to continue working on your inventions, so that's exactly what we'll do." He looked around this class, nodding at a boy with red hair. "Matsui, you're in charge. I'm going to get me some water." The large man exited the classroom, his hand covering his face. Poor guy.

"Come on, come on! Come sit with me!"

"I'd rather just work on some stuff-"

"Nonsense! You're like family now! My dad won't shut up about what he created you know, so you're like, my cousin or something!"

"That is not how that works-"

"Rika! Scootch over, let Zero have a seat!" A girl with blue hair rolled her eyes but scooted over just enough to another girl, likely her sister with how similar they looked, so that Zero could have a place to sit down.

"Alright, I'll introduce myself first! I'm Hatsume Mei! Wonderful to meet you, Cus!" Zero just nodded. "I have pink hair and yellow eyes, my quirk is Zoom which lets me-"

"He has eyes, Mei." The boy with red hair said, giving the pink-haired girl a soft smile. Zero stared at the boy, physically having to restrain himself from gaping. He was stunning! In a "why are you at U.A. and not modelling?" type of way. Zero was caught off guard. Said boy stuck his hand out, and Zero shook it.

"I'm Matsui Ori, class president of 1H. It's wonderful to meet you."

"He's also known as 'the prince of U.A." Snickered the pair of girls next to him. They didn't have a traditional classroom setting here, instead, there were four circular tables in the middle room, seating about five to six people each. The classroom walls were also lined with rectangular tables, filled with stacks of items, papers, and chords.

"I'm Yoshiya Rikako, but call me Rika."

"I'm Yoshiya Rukoko, but call me Koko." She emphasised. Zero said hello to both of them, giving the pair small smiles. The two girls would have been identical if not for their hair. One was sleek and smooth, tied back in a tight ponytail, and the other had short, wild curls, much like Zero's own.

"Kusomoto Yajirobei, nice to meet you." Said the last boy left. His chestnut hair was pulled back, but two front pieces were left hanging in front of his face. He seemed chill enough, if a little quiet.

"Don't let him fool you, Zero, once he gets to know you, he won't ever shut up," Hatsume said with a grin.

"Don't be mean, Mei!" Kusomoto whined. Mei just laughed before getting up and stretching.

"Come on, Zero! Let's get you some materials! So what are we thinking about building? A flame thrower, a teleportation device, ooooh a rocket launcher?"

"I have never made anything in my life." Zero deadpanned, stopping the girl in her tracks.

"Wha-? Then how did you get in here?!"

"Ne- my dad wanted me to learn the basics and stuff. I prefer to work on like, firewall stuff than actual invention-making. If that makes sense."

"Oh! Yeah, I totally get that! I'll start you on the basics then! You get to help me! Now, let me go get my box of stuff and we'll start working on it!"

"Working on what-" Zero tried to ask, but the pink-haired girl had already run away. He laughed softly, covering his face in his hands.

"Yeah, she's pretty charismatic. Never stays in one place for too long either." A voice said from behind him. Zero turned, seeing it was Matsui.

"I can see that, it's nice though. Reminds me of Class 1A."

"Really? Well, that's good to know." Matsui chuckled. "Well, on behalf of class 1H, I welcome you. You probably won't meet everyone today, as most of the class sticks to their own little groups, but you'll meet us all eventually." Zero did a survey of the room, and Matsui was right. The other tables did seem to be completely immersed in their own work, or the work of their seat partner. No one, besides Hatsume's group, had noticed him. Perfect. Maybe he would like this class.

"Oh, Zero~" He turned. He barely held in a groan, but Matsui just snorted and patted his shoulder.

"Welcome to the team."

For the rest of class, Zero mindlessly worked behind "Call me Mei!" Hatsume. She told him specifics about wires, plugs, and even screens. If Zero didn't have the ability to write without paying attention to his hands, he probably would have forgotten everything. Mei was fast enough to keep his attention but slow enough to give him time to ask questions if need be. He didn't, because that's awkward and he didn't wanna do that, but he could have if he wanted to.

She also told him about his new 'friend groups' quirks.

Matsui's quirk was Hare Ears, and although he didn't have the actual shape of rabbit ears, he could hear pretty damn well, and always knew when people were talking shit about someone else.

Rika and Koko and quirks that went hand in hand with each other, Fortify and Crush. Rika could strengthen any solid material she put her hand on, and Koko could crush most solid metal down. Koko wasn't strong enough to crush hardy metals like titanium or diamond, but it was something she was working on.

Kusumoto's quirk was called Digestion. He could eat any item, edible or not, and it would be completely digested. He could also eat a lot of anything and not gain weight, but he just puts that to a fast metabolism instead of a quirk perk.

"And this little baby here is what I call my STBM, or my skeletal stabilizer," Mei announced proudly. "It can be stuck to an actual person of course, and can help paralytics begin to walk again, and really just help people move in general. From hero work to hospital beds."

"Wow Mei," Zero said, genuinely impressed. "Why isn't this everywhere? This is amazing!"

"I can't stop it from blowing up."

"Oh."

"How is my little ward doing, Majima?" Nedzu asked, sitting across from the 1H teacher in the teacher's lounge. Izuku had been attending both the hero and inventing class for almost two weeks now, and he seemed more relaxed coming back from 1H.

"He's become friends with Hatsume and Kusumoto. I can't get them to stop inventing."

"Zero is inventing?" Nedzu questioned, intrigued. Majima rubbed the back of his neck.

"Not necessarily. He won't pick up any tools unless he's passing them to one of his classmates, but he has helped with some of the technological stuff students struggled with. Even helped a girl get an expensive ad blocker for free. Not that I condone that of course, but almost 1500 yen a week for a basic pleasure.." Majima shook his head. "All in all, he may not be inventing, but he is conversing with his classmates."

"Good. You know, he may never invent anything, Majima, but if he truly excels in technology you'll keep him in your class, won't you?"

"Of course, Nedzu. The kid has a good head on his shoulders." Nedzu nodded and hopped up from his chair, heading back to his office.

'I'm proud of him,' thought Nedzu. 'And what an odd feeling that is.
