Volume I: The Mighty Thor
Note: This will be the nineteenth chapter of Volume I, this will introduce Thor Odinson, the Prince of Asgard and God of Thunder as the main character of this chapter. He will cross paths with Spider-Man as they work together to find his hammer, Mjolnir. This chapter will also bring Jane Foster, Heimdall, and Odin as supporting characters. Loki and the Wrecking Crew will play as the antagonists of this chapter.
It's April 3rd, Spider-Man is engaged in a battle in a construction site where a building is being developed, he faces against a team of villains who calls themselves the Wrecking Crew. The villain team consists of four men, their leader Wrecker, Bulldozer, Piledriver, and Thunderball.
Spider-Man jumped up as Thunderball swings his ball with the chain. Spider-Man was able to avoid the attack.
"Great, I was supposed to be enjoying spring break with my friends, but instead I'm too busy taking on these clowns." Spider-Man says in his thoughts.
Bulldozer came in charging in with his head at high speed. Spider-Man cartwheels out of the way, he stopped and aimed his webshooters at Bulldozer's legs, he pulled the line as Bulldozer falls down.
"Have a nice trip!" Spider-Man makes a joke.
His spider sense tingle as Piledriver is coming in from the air and is about to slam down on Spider-Man. Spidey quickly webs the nearby wall and zipped out of the way before Piledriver smashed him. Spider-Man could see that these individuals are enhanced, very strong.
"Why attack a building?" Spider-Man is curious about their motive.
"Nothing personal, it's just business. See we were hired to tear down certain buildings for money. We're just doing our job, and we love our job." Wrecker explained to Spider-Man.
"Well so do I." Spider-Man says to the Wrecking Crew.
Wrecker pulls out his personal crowbar to be used as a melee weapon, Thunderball, Piledriver, and Bulldozer.
"Then I guess we'll have to get rid of you for free. Can't have you getting in our way." Wrecker standing with his crew.
"Bring it." Spider-Man dared them.
"So be it, get him!" Wrecker orders his crew.
The Wrecking Crew came charging in at Spider-Man, the webslinger did the same. Bulldozer came charging in first as Spider-Man jump on top of Bulldozer's head and then jumped some more, pushing Bulldozer down hard.
Spider-Man landed in a three point stance as Thunderball tossed his ball at Spider-Man, but Spider-Man dodged and grabbed the ball, he pulled the ball along with the chain, Thunderball got dragged around too as Piledriver is charging in for an attack. Spider-Man swings Thunderball at Piledriver, both villains collided with each other.
Wrecker came in swinging his crowbar at Spider-Man, but the webslingers flips back as Wrecker kept on swing his crowbar. Spider-Man stopped and counters with a webbing to the crowbar, he yanked it off Wrecker's hand.
"My crowbar!" Wrecker is pissed.
"Time to finish this." Spider-Man dropped the crowbar.
Spider-Man webbed up Wrecker and pulled him in for Spidey to execute a flying knee, the strike is successful as Wrecker was defeated.
Unknown to Spider-Man, Bulldozer got himself up to see his teammates are down and they need to make an escape. He spotted a tower crane nearby and has an idea. He charges in and tackled the tower crane hard as it's starting to lose its footing.
Spider-Man see that the crane is about to fall down soon as an apartment building is nearby full of innocent people.
"Choose Spider-Man! Us or the people, your choice?!" Bulldozer gave Spider-Man an choice.
He sees that the remaining members are recovering and getting back up, but the tower crane is going to crash down onto an apartment, killing a lot of lives. He chose to save the people rather then deal with the criminals.
Spider-Man jumped up and swings to the crane as the Wrecking Crew got up and see Spider-Man trying to stop the crane.
"This is our chance, retreat!" Wrecker tells his teammates.
The Wrecking Crew are bailing out as Spider-Man is busy stopping the crane from falling. Spider-Man quickly lands on the building nearby as he fires off multiple web lines at the crane, he connects the line from the crane to the building, he too uses all his strength to pull the tower crane.
"Come on Spidey! Use all your strength!" Spider-Man is still pulling.
Spider-Man uses his strength to stop the crane from falling down, he pulls it some more closer to the building for the webbing to hold. He jumped down to check the footing, he see that Bulldozer made a dent in it. He grabbed some metal beams nearby as he tries to replace the dented steel for the more stable ones. He webs them together as it holds until the experts can come by to fix the crane.
"There, that should hold it until it's fixed." Spider-Man says to himself.
Spider-Man looks around to see that the Wrecking Crew is long gone from the scene.
"The Wrecking Crew is gone. They took advantage of the chaos to escape, at least no one got hurt, that's still a big win." Spider-Man says in his thoughts.
Spider-Man then got a call on his phone, he see that his girlfriend Liz Allan is calling him.
Spider-Man answered the call. "Hey Liz, how's the head cheerleader?"
"Just enjoying my spring break, how's the hot nerd?" Liz flirts over the phone.
"I love it when you call me hot nerd. Everything is fine, managed to get some photos, so I'll expect to get paid very soon." Spider-Man explained to Liz.
"That's nice, though that's not why I called you. Flash and some of our classmates are hanging out at Central Park for some fun, I was wondering if you like to be there with me?" Liz asking Peter.
"Well, sure. I just need to stop by the Bugle to drop off the photos and pick up my check. I'll meet you at Central Park as soon as I'm done." Spider-Man says to Liz.
"Okay, see you there Petey." Liz says to Peter.
"You too, Lizzie." Spider-Man hangs up.
Spider-Man's spirits are cheered up thanks to Liz Allan, he jumps and picks up the camera he placed before the fight, he got decent shots of himself fighting the Wrecking Crew.
He jumps and swings away from the scene, he continues to swing through the city.
"Looks like things are finally starting to go my way, I get a paycheck from JJ, and I get to date the prettiest cheerleader, what can go wrong?" Spider-Man says in his thoughts.
Spider-Man kept on swing through the city as he hopes that nothing else goes wrong.
In a realm far away from the Earth, in a place called Asgard, home to the Asgardians, a race of extradimensional beings with similar appearance to humans though with abilities stronger than humans.
At the Royal Palace in the throne room, Odin, King of Asgard is waiting along with his wife Frigga and his other son Loki.
The palace door opens as his son and heir, Thor, the God of Thunder, is being escorted by the Asgardians warriors. Thor is the Prince of Asgard with long blonde hair and beard, he's got blue eyes, he stands at 6' 6" with a very muscular appearance. Thor carries his personal weapon, his hammer Mjolnir.
Thor could see his father isn't too happy with him, given that he disobeyed his wishes and went up against the Frost Giants despite knowing that they've made an attempt to attack Asgard and broke into the vault. Thor now stands in front of his father Odin.
"Thor, my son, do you know why you stand before me?" Odin isn't too happy.
"I know that you told me not to go to Jotunheim and I've disobeyed you. But father, they've invaded Asgard and spilled Asgardian blood, they tried to steal from you and you've done nothing but sit behind your throne." Thor tries to justify his actions.
"Have you learned nothing! A wise king does not seek out war, but must be always ready for it! Instead of preparing for war, you rushed into it! You risked the lives of your fellow Asgardians for the thrill of battle! You've disappoint me greatly, my son! Which is why you must face the consequences of your actions!" Odin says to Thor.
(The Bifrost)
Later everyone is at the Bifrost gate guarded by Heimdall, the gatekeeper and wielder of the Bifrost Sword. Odin stands with his wife Frigga and his other son Loki as Thor is about to face his punishment for his transgression.
"My son, as of this moment, you are heathy exiled from Asgard and stripped of your title, and I shall hereby take away your powers." Odin uses his power on Thor.
Odin took away Mjolnir from Thor's hand, then he uses his power to strip Thor of his godlike powers, leaving him mortal.
"As of right now, you're unworthy!" Odin yelled out.
Odin used his power to open the Bifrost, a rainbow bridge used to travel to other realms only accessible by the Bifrost Sword and Odin himself.
"And now, I cast you out!" Odin used his power to send Thor through the Bifrost.
Everyone watched as Thor went through the Bifrost, exiled from Asgard. Odin holds Mjolnir and transfers the powers of Thor into the hammer and speaks the chant.
"Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." Odin speaks the chant into the hammer.
Odin tossed Mjolnir through the Bifrost, it along with Thor are being sent to Midgard, which is called Earth by the Midgardians. Frigga couldn't believe that her son is now gone, Loki on the other hand smiled as he's glad that his brother is gone from Asgard and out of the way.
Frigga could see that Odin strained himself from using all his powers, she went to her husband's side.
"Dear, you must rest. Your time for your Odinsleep is near." Frigga helps her husband.
Frigga escorts her husband back to the palace so that he'll be placed in his Odinsleep to rest and recharged himself. Loki is happy as the current prince of Asgard, with Thor exiled and Odin placed to rest, Loki has the opportunity to take control of the throne as he always wanted.
Back on Earth, in New York at Central Park, everyone is hanging around for spring break, including the students of Midtown High.
Peter is all dressed in his regular clothes as he looks around to find some of his classmates playing with water guns, some are barbecuing the grill, and others talking while the music is being played.
"Petey!" Liz is calling out.
Peter sees his girlfriend Liz with the cheerleading squad, she walks up to Peter, she's all dressed in a pink tube top and skirt.
"Glad that you could make it. How do I look?" Liz shows herself to Peter.
"You look... amazing." Peter smiled at Liz.
"Thanks, you're not so bad yourself." Liz flirt with Peter.
Peter and Liz kissed each other until they got interrupted.
"Are we interrupting?" Harry coming with Mary Jane as his date.
"Not at all, Harry. Glad that you and MJ are here." Peter smiled at Harry and Mary Jane.
"A week of no school, and plenty of fun. What's the worst thing that could happen?" Harry says to them.
Everyone sees something happening in the sky as the clouds are acting strange, they're turning dark and making a sound. Some people are using their smartphones to record the event.
"You had to ask?" Mary Jane says to Harry.
They see someone coming down hard from the clouds as a beam of light came crashing down hard, every panicked as some stayed and are having a hard time seeing due to the bright light.
The beam of light stopped as everyone sees something through the dust, they sees a man inside standing where the beam of light once stood. The man gets up and looks up at the skies.
"Hammer! Hammer!" Thor calling out to Mjolnir.
"Yeah, we can see that you're hammered." Flash says to Thor.
"Whoa, check out the ground." Randy says to everyone.
The beam of light left an unusual mark on the ground as the blonde man walks around looking up.
"Father! Heimdall! I know you can hear me! Open the Bifrost!" Thor tries to call out.
Thor is feeling a bit hazy from the Bifrost travel since his powers were stripped away from him, leaving him mortal. He looks around to see the midgardians here, one in particular, he see Peter Parker who he immediately recognized as the Midgard's champion.
"Man of Spiders!" Thor says to Peter.
Peter is confused as to why this guy called him Man of Spiders. Thor is walking up to Peter being hazy in the head as he's starting to lose consciousness.
"Man of Spiders." Thor said before he passed out.
Peter caught him as he fell, the guy is passed out. Peter is wondering why this guy called him the Man of Spiders, could he know that he's Spider-Man.
Peter sighed. "So much for a peaceful vacation."
Later, Peter with the help of Flash and Randy helped the unconscious Thor onto the back of the pickup truck that Flash's dad owns.
"We should get him to the hospital." Peter walks to the front passenger side door.
"My thoughts exactly." Flash took the driver seat and turns on the truck.
Flash and Peter drives away from the park with an unconscious Thor resting.
Meanwhile in the sky, something came falling down in a different direction far away from Manhattan.
Sometime later at Metro General Hospital, Thor is resting on the hospital bed after his travel from the Bifrost, he woke up to see a woman before him, a brown haired woman wearing a doctor's coat, for a Midgardian she sure is pretty in the eyes of Thor.
"Where... where am I?" Thor is wondering.
"Ah, you're awake. Good, you've been passed out for the past two hours." Jane Foster explained to Thor.
"I was? Who are you?" Thor is curious about the woman.
"My name is Doctor Jane Foster, I've been sent to examine you. You don't seem to have any injuries on you, just like the kids who found you said to me." Jane Foster says to Thor.
"Kids?" Thor says to Jane Foster.
"Two teenagers brought you here after you passed out at Central Park, they said that you were rambling when they found you. Are you a homeless person?" Jane Foster asking Thor a question.
"Homeless?" Thor is confused.
"They didn't catch you name and didn't find any identification on you. I just assumed that you're one of the homeless who finds shelter in the park at night. Are you homeless?" Jane Foster ask again.
"Yeah, you could say that." Thor has been exiled from his home Asgard.
"Did you lose you home or were you kicked out?" Jane Foster says to Thor.
"Both, it's... complicated." Thor says to Jane Foster.
"How is complicated?" Jane Foster says to Thor.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Thor says to Jane Foster.
"Try me." Jane Foster is interested in hearing Thor.
"Very well, I am from Asgard, a realm far from your own, home of an eternal race, the Asgardians." Thor explained to Jane Foster.
"Is that like in Europe? Are you European?" Jane Foster is curious.
"I do not know this Europe, healer woman. I told you that you wouldn't believe me." Thor says to Jane Foster.
Jane seems to think that this man might be a deranged individual who might need to be sent to a psychiatric hospital.
(Waiting Room)
Peter and Flash both waited in the waiting room after they've dropped off Thor. Flash's phone got a text saying that he's needed back home.
"Shit. Listen Parker, I have to go home. Sorry to ditch you like this." Flash gets up from the seat.
"Don't worry, I'll wait until he wakes up. Thanks for the ride, Flash." Peter thanked Flash for his help.
"Sure thing, good luck Parker." Flash said before he leaves the hospital.
Peter still remained seated alone in the waiting room until he stopped Jane Foster coming out of the hall.
Peter gets up. "Doctor Foster, how is he?"
"Physically, he's fine. Mentally, he's kinda out of it." Jane Foster describe his condition.
"What do you mean?" Peter is curious.
"He doesn't have any ID, he's currently homeless and seems to have a breakdown of some kind. I'd recommend that he get some help from a professional. I'll see if Ravencroft has a vacant room available for him, hopefully he'll get all the help he needs." Jane Foster explained to Peter.
"I see. Could I see himself?" Peter says to Jane Foster.
"Sure, but tread carefully. He seems to be ranting about realms and stuff." Jane Foster says to Peter.
Jane Foster walks away as Peter walks down the hallway to visit the unknown man.
Peter found the room and sees that Thor is looking out the window.
"Hi, I wanted to see if you're alright." Peter says to Thor.
Thor still remained quiet as he is now mortal and living among the Midgardians.
"I guess I should be going." Peter says before leaving.
"I know who you are, boy." Thor speaks his word.
"What?" Peter stopped as he talks to Thor.
"I need your help to get me out of here, and for me to return home." Thor still looking at the window.
"And why would I do that?" Peter is wondering.
"Because..." Thor turns around to see Peter. "You're the Man of Spiders."
Peter became shocked to find out that this guy knows his secret, he got inside and closed the door as to have some privacy and not let listen to their conversation about Spider-Man.
"Who are you?" Peter is wondering his identity.
"I am Thor, Son of Odin, God of Thunder, Prince of Asgard." Thor introduced himself to Peter.
"Asgard?" Peter is confused.
"The realm eternal, very far away from Midgard." Thor says to Peter.
"Midgard?" Peter is still confused.
"The realm that we are in, the one that you mortals seem to call Earth. It is an honor to finally meet the Man of Spiders." Thor says to Peter.
"Why do you keep calling me that?" Peter is wondering.
"Because that's who you are, the Man of Spiders, champion of Midgard. I've heard so much about you." Thor knows who Peter is.
"How?" Peter is curious.
"For thousands of years, Asgard has watched over the nine realms, including yours. We've been watching your realm for years, seeing you mortals develop from riding horses to flying strange craft. We've believed that Midgard would still remain uninterested until very recently Heimdall, the gatekeeper of the Bifrost, has told us tales of a boy who wields the power of the spider. Word of your exploits has reached Asgard." Thor explained to Peter.
"Really? Because the Bugle says otherwise, some people think that I'm a menace." Peter says to Thor.
"That's not true. From what the tales Heimdall told me, you're a warrior who fights the villains and save lives, even the people of your world believes you to be their champion." Thor described Peter's tale.
"I wish that were so." Peter says to Thor.
Peter phone rang, it's Aunt May calling him.
"Hang on." Peter picked up his phone and answered it. "Hey Aunt May."
"Peter, it's almost 11 o'clock, where are you?" May is worried.
"I'm at the hospital in the city." Peter says to May.
"Are you alright?" May is curious.
"Yeah, it's not me. I had to drop somebody off. I'll be home as soon as possible." Peter says to May.
"Okay, be careful." May says to Peter.
"I will, promise," Peter hangs up the phone as he turns to Thor. "Sorry, I have to go."
"No worries, Man of Spiders. I know that you have somewhere to be. I hope that we can meet up again, I might need your help returning home." Thor needs Peter's help
"I'll think about it." Peter says before he leaves the room.
Peter left the room as he's has a lot to think about. The bright light that fell from the sky and this Thor guy knowing that he's Spider-Man, it sounds crazy but he seen all sorts of crazy during his time as Spider-Man. Something in his heart tells him that Thor could be telling the truth and that he is who he claims to be.
Back in Asgard, Frigga is looking at her husband Odin resting in his bed, he is now in his Odinsleep, using too much of his powers put a strain on his body and he needs to rest and recharge himself for a time.
Loki came by to see his father resting in his bed as Asgard still needs leadership during Odin's absence.
"How is he?" Loki is curious about Odin's condition.
"He's in his Odinsleep. He'll be resting for a while. Using his powers to strip away Thor's put a strain on him." Frigga explained Odin's condition.
"What will happen to Asgard without the king? Father cannot lead in his condition." Loki is curious.
"Then you'll have to step up and take your place as Prince, you'll have to take the throne until your father is back on his feet. Will that be a problem for you, my son?" Frigga asking Loki,
"No, of course not. It'll be my pleasure." Loki accept the responsibility.
Loki smiled as he finally has the opportunity to claim the throne.
(Throne Room)
Loki came to the throne room where he sits down on his father's seat and assumed control of the throne as interim King, he smiled as he finally gain the throne he always dream of, he hopes to keep it that way without his father Odin or his brother Thor to get in the way of that.
The next day in Forest Hills at the Parker Residence, Peter Parker is doing some research on what he learned from the mysterious Thor. He typed in the word 'Thor' on the search engine and got some results.
"Huh? Looks like you got some hits, let's see." Peter types into the computer.
He found a page on the internet about Norse mythology where Thor is the son of Odin and the God of Thunder, exactly like Thor said. He found some results of his family including one of Loki, the God of Mischievous. He continues to see the weapon of Thor, Mjolnir and a rainbow bridge called the Bifrost.
He then switched to the social media of his classmates who recorded the event that happened in Central Park yesterday, he found the video of the beam of light summoned from the sky. He heard the door knock as he's curious as to who it is.
"Who is it?" Peter is asking whoever is outside his door.
"It's me Tiger." Mary Jane says outside the door.
"Come in." Peter invites Mary Jane inside.
Mary Jane came inside to see Peter sitting at his desk looking at the computer.
"Hey Tiger, I was getting worried about yesterday since you found that stranger." Mary Jane says to Peter.
"Well that stranger happens to know my secret, he called me Man of Spiders." Peter says to Mary Jane.
"Man of Spiders? Hold on, are you telling me that he knows that you're Spider-Man?" Mary Jane is shocked that someone else knows.
"Yes." Peter confirmed it.
"How?" Mary Jane is curious.
"He just does, he says that he's a god." Peter says to Mary Jane.
"A god? That's crazy." Mary Jane says to Peter.
"Well I have met a Spider-Woman who can see into the future, an alien dragon that can talk, a big green guy who is extremely strong, and a blonde woman who is half-alien who can fly and glow. In my life as Spider-Man, I've seen all sorts of crazy." Peter says to Mary Jane.
"You got a good point." Mary Jane says to Peter.
Peter shows Mary Jane footage of the beam of light that landed in Central Park yesterday.
"What do you think it is?" Mary Jane is curious.
"Thor seemed to call it the Bifrost, a rainbow bridge. It certain has the characteristics of an Einstein-Rosen bridge." Peter says to Mary Jane.
"A what?" Mary Jane is confused by what he said.
"An Einstein-Rosen bridge is a theoretical connection between tow different points of space." Peter explained to Mary Jane.
"In English, Tiger?" Mary Jane still doesn't understand.
"It's a wormhole, that's what it is." Peter used a simple term for Mary Jane.
"A wormhole, okay, that I could understand." Mary Jane seemed to get it.
Peter still kept examining the footage from the video as he watched the Bifrost still shining down until he noticed something in the light. He paused and rewind the footage to see a silhouette in the shape of a man.
"Oh my god." Peter is stunned.
"What is it?" Mary Jane is curious.
"Look closely at the footage. I'll zoom in." Peter is moving the mouse.
Peter zoom the video as he show Mary Jane a silhouette in the light, she sees some kind of man in the light traveling down.
"Oh my god." Mary Jane is stunned as she used Peter's words.
Peter gets up from the chair. "I think that I left something at the hospital."
Peter is leaving his room as Mary Jane follows after him, Peter needs to see Thor again as the man knows his secret and has asked for his help.
Somewhere in the Catskills, there is a party happening near the lake by some college students on Spring Break playing loud music and swimming around in swimsuits.
A couple of boys venture far from the party as they explore the forest while drinking alcohol.
"You gotta love spring break, Bruh."
They continue to walk until they see a crater in the middle to the forest.
"Whoa!"
"Dang, what caused all this?"
They took a closer look at the crater as they see an object of some kind lodged into the ground, a hammer of unusual design.
"What is this?"
"Don't know, but I wonder how much we get this on EBay? Grab it."
"Okay."
One of the guys came in closer as his hand reached the handle, he attempted to lift the hammer of the ground but no success, it didn't even budge.
"Damn it!"
"What's wrong?"
"I can't lift this thing! This son of a bitch is heavy!"
"Bro, you need to workout some more. I bet you're losing some muscles."
"Okay Wise Ass! Let's see if you can lift it!"
"Sure, step aside."
The other guy stepped in to show how it's done. He grabbed the handle as he attempts to pulls it, but no luck as it's still on the ground.
"Damn, it is heavy."
"Told you!"
The guy tries to uses both hands to pull the hammer, but still no luck.
"Shit! Give me a hand."
The other guy came to help and they both have their hands on the handle.
"Ready? One, two, three!!!"
They both pulled together but still the hammer wouldn't budge as both their strength isn't enough to lift the hammer. They kept on trying until they gave up as the hammer can't be lifted by them both.
"What is this thing made out of?"
"Don't know, but we should take a picture and send it to some of our friends."
One of the guys pulled out his smartphone to take a photo of the hammer stuck in the crater.
Back in the city at Metro General, Thor is still in his hospital room until Dr. Jane Foster came to check on him.
"Good morning, Mister... Thor, is it?" Jane Foster greeted Thor.
"It is. Thank you for everything. Jane Foster, is it?" Thor says to Jane Foster.
"It is. No need to thank me, it's my job." Jane Foster says to Thor.
"Paging Doctor Foster, you're needed in the ICU!"
"I should get going, excuse me." Jane Foster walks out of the room.
Thor watched as Jane Foster walks out, he can't deny that he's fond of her, despite her being a Midgardian, he's attracted to her by her beauty as a mortal as well as her job as a healer.
Thor knows that he can't stay in the hospital for too long as he's got a mission to return to Asgard, but that task will be impossible for him as he is now exiled from his home, but he needs to try.
Thor sneaks out of his room as he looks both sides to see the coast is clear. He quietly sneaks around the hallways until he stumped onto the locker room.
He opened a locker belonging to one Donald Blake, he quickly grabbed what he can from the locker, he started to change into regular clothes, including a Doctor coat with the name Dr. Donald Blake.
Thor is now in disguise as he sneaks out of the hospital pretending to be a doctor as no one noticed that he's escaping.
(Outside the Hospital)
Peter and Mary Jane arrived to meet with Thor as Peter is starting to believe that what Thor told him is the truth.
"Okay, here we are. Now all we to do is find Thor." Peter says to Mary Jane.
"I don't think we need to look that far." Mary Jane points at the entrance.
Peter and Mary Jane sees Thor walking out of the hospital wearing a doctors coat and regular clothes. Thor spotted the Man of Spiders with a red haired girl.
"Man of Spiders, I was wondering when I would see you." Thor says to Peter.
"Could you not call me the Man of Spiders when I'm just a plain teenager. My name is Peter Parker." Peter says to Thor.
"Very well, Parker." Thor says to Peter.
"So what are you doing out here, Dr. Donald Blake?" Peter reads the coat.
"Oh, this is just a disguise. I couldn't stay in there for too long. I see that you brought a friend." Thor sees Mary Jane with Peter.
"She's Mary Jane, my best friend and confidant, she knows my secret." Peter says to Thor.
Thor's stomach growled as he hasn't eaten much since his arrival on Earth.
"Is there a place where I get my morsel?" Thor is wondering.
"I might know a place." Peter has a thought.
Back in Asgard, Loki has managed to assume control of the throne and wielded Gungnir, Odin's spear. He finally got everything he ever wanted now that his father is resting and his brother Thor now in exile without his powers.
But something kept troubling him, he remembers that Mjolnir was also sent to Midgard along with brother, the hammer housed Thor's powers for those who are worthy. He hoped that Thor will still remained unworthy and stays in his exile, but Loki doesn't want to risk it.
(Bifrost)
Loki came to the Bifrost where Heimdall still remained on guard, watching the nine realms.
"What brings your presence here, my prince?" Heimdall is curious.
"I want to know that status of my brother, what became of him since his exile." Loki is curious about Thor.
"I can see into Midgard, Thor has found himself in the company of the Man of Spiders, Midgard's champion." Heimdall says to Loki.
"The Man of Spiders? That same Man of Spiders you've told me and Thor? He's with him?" Loki is surprised by the news.
"The very same. Must be fate that they cross paths. Who knows, maybe your brother can learn a lot from him. Through the Man of Spiders, he might learn what it means to be worthy." Heimdall says to Loki.
"I see. Leave the chamber." Loki orders Heimdall.
"Prince?" Heimdall is surprised.
"You are relieved of your duties, temporary. Now go." Loki orders Heimdall.
Heimdall complied with the order and left the Bifrost gate unguarded, Loki stayed behind as he's starting to worry, he heard the tales of the Man of Spiders from Heimdall.
Loki doesn't like that his brother is now in the company of the Man of Spiders. The young hero has shown heroism to the people of Midgard and gave them hope. He worries that through the Man of Spiders, Thor might learn what it means to be worthy enough to lift Mjolnir and regain his powers, Thor could potentially find a way to return home. Loki cannot risk everything he worked so hard to accomplish be undone by his brother's return to the throne.
Loki will have to deal with this matter personally before his brother ruins everything, he opens the Bifrost to Midgard and enters the bridge, leaving Asgard.
Back on Earth, at a diner called Stan's, Peter and Mary Jane watched as Thor is eating breakfast, they're very surprised by how much Thor can eat. The waiters brought another stack of pancakes to Thor, he continues to eat.
"How can you eat an entire stack of pancakes and still be this hungry?" Mary Jane is curious.
Thor drank a whole cup of coffee so quickly as he enjoyed it.
"This drink, I like it." Thor holding the mug.
"I'm glad." Peter says to Thor.
"Another!" Thor smashed the mug down.
Everyone looked at Thor as he broke the mug, Peter and Mary Jane went to pick up the pieces.
"Sorry about that, little accident." Peter finished cleaning as he looked at Thor. "What was that?"
"It was delicious, I want another." Thor says to Peter.
"You could've just said so." Peter says to Thor.
"I just did." Thor smiled at Peter.
"No, I meant ask nicely." Peter says to Thor.
"I meant no disrespect." Thor says to Peter.
"Alright, no more smashing, deal?" Peter says to Thor.
"You have my word." Thor gave his word.
"Good." Peter says to Thor.
A couple of college students came into the diner as they heard the news about something in the Catskills concerning a strange object. They sit down close where Peter and Thor can listen.
"Can you believe that no one can lift the bad boy. Whatever it is made a huge crater in the middle of the forest."
"What did they say that it is?"
"I don't know, but they say that it's very heavy that no one can lift it."
Thor is shocked to hear the news, from what they're describing it sounds like Mjolnir.
"This thing, what was it?" Thor asking the college students.
"We're not sure, but all we have is a photo."
"Can you show it to us?" Peter asking for the photo.
"Hold on."
The student searches through the phone and found a picture of the hammer in the crater.
"Here it is."
Thor sees the picture and immediately recognized the hammer is Mjolnir, his own weapon.
"Odin's beard." Thor is shocked to see Mjolnir again.
"Say again." Peter is confused.
"Where is this crater?" Thor is demanding answers.
"It's in the Catskills."
Thor walks out of the diner as Peter and Mary Jane left the money on the table, the follow after Thor.
"Hey! Where are you going?" Peter asking Thor.
"To get what belongs to me." Thor is walking.
"And that is?" Peter is curious.
"My hammer Mjolnir." Thor says to Peter.
"What Mew-mew?" Peter said it incorrectly.
"Mjolnir! A might weapon made from Uru, an enchanted metal forged from the heart of a dying star. I must go and retrieve it." Thor continues to walk.
"So you're just going to walk all the way to get what's yours?" Peter says to Thor.
"Yes. If what I suspect is true, then I might be regain my power and get more closer to retuning home more than ever." Thor explained his mission.
"Well, if you're going to go so far, I might know a quicker way to get there." Peter has an idea.
"I'm listening." Thor wants to hear his idea.
Meanwhile in New Jersey, in the middle of a parking lot, the Bifrost came crashing down hard, everyone is shocked to see a bright beam of light. The Bifrost stopped as Loki has finally made it to Earth.
Loki looks around to see a supermarket along with cars and people who are still shocked by what they saw. A security guard came by to see someone wearing a green and gold costume.
"Hey pal, this isn't the renaissance faire, you can't be out here dressed like that."
"Silence you mortal, do you have any idea who you are speaking to? I was just magically transported here to this realm. What is this place?" Loki is looking around his surroundings.
"You just got magically transported here?"
"Do you think that this is joke? I am Loki, the rightful King of Asgard!" Loki introduced himself.
"Okay, that's it. I'm calling the cops."
"Wait! Tell me something, is this Midgard?" Loki is curious about his current location.
"Buddy, you're in Jersey."
Loki is confused as to this 'Jersey' place, but he must be on Midgard.
Somewhere in New York, the Wrecking Crew are hanging at their hideout and laying low after their encounter with Spider-Man and their job got botched.
"Forget it! You were supposed to do your job right and you screwed it up."
"It wasn't our fault that Spider-Man was going to show up." Wrecker telling the client.
"Some professionals you all are. You can't handle a simple guy in a leotard. You can forget getting paid since you failed your job miserably."
"Hey, we did a lot of leg work!" Wrecker got cut off. "Hello? Hello?! Damn it!"
"So no money." Piledriver says to Wrecker.
"Damn that Spider-Man, getting in the way of our business, now we have no money from the job." Bulldozer is pissed at Spider-Man.
"So what do we do now?" Thunderball asking the crew.
Loki came to the Wrecking Crew hideout and surprised them.
"I might have a suggestion." Loki says to the Wrecking Crew.
"Who the hell are you?" Wrecker asking Loki.
"I am Loki, God of Mischievous, the rightful King of Asgard, kneel before me!" Loki demanded they kneel.
"Like hell we'll kneel to an ass clown in a green suit." Piledriver is pissed.
"Yeah, no one tells us what to do!" Bulldozer says to Loki.
"Then it pleases me to be the first." Loki says to Bulldozer.
Bulldozer charges in with all his speed and strength at Loki, he reached Loki but he ended up going through him, he crashed into a wall.
Loki came out of hiding as the illusion of himself has disappeared.
"Now that you're done getting it out of your system, let's talk business." Loki says to the Wrecking Crew.
"What do you want?" Wrecker is curious.
"There is a man here on your realm from mines, his name is Thor." Loki shows a picture of Thor to the Wrecking Crew.
"What is he to you?" Bulldozer recovered from the wall crash.
"He's my brother and he's a threat to the power I now hold. I want you to find him and kill him for me." Loki revealed his intentions.
"Say that we do as you ask. What's in it for us?" Wrecker is curious as they gain form this job.
Loki smiled as he pulled something out of his coat, he shows off some Asgardian gold that peaked their interest.
"Whoa!" Thunderball is amazed by the gold.
"You can say that again." Piledriver smiled as he gazed on the gold.
"Consider this portion your down payment. You'll have more of it, lots of it only if you complete the task I sent you." Loki pays them the gold as down payment.
"So where do we find your brother?" Wrecker is curious as to how to find Thor.
"He'll be heading up north in the company of the Man of Spiders, as you mortals seem to call him Spider-Man." Loki gave the details.
"Spider-Man? We know who he is. We have a bone to pick with him, he ruined our last job and is responsible for ruining our reputation. We'll gladly kill him for free, but it won't be easy. He's already bested us once." Wrecker explained their history with Spider-Man.
"Not to worry, I can provide each of you with the solution. Stay still." Loki raises Gungnir at the Wrecking Crew.
The Wrecking Crew are getting nervous as to what Loki has planned, he unleashed a wave of magical energy at the weapons of the Wrecking Crew, Wrecker's crowbar, Thunderball's ball with chain, Piledriver's gloves and boots, and Bulldozer's armor, all their tools are enchanted by Loki's magic, strengthening them with power. The Wrecking Crew have seen their tools are now more stronger than ever.
"What the...?" Wrecker is amazed by the enhancements.
"I've enchanted each of your tools for greater power, this will give you an edge against Spider-Man when you do run into him again. Do what you must with him, but remember that my brother Thor must die." Loki reminded them of their deal.
"Loki... we have a deal." Wrecker and his crew accepted the job.
Two hours later, a train is traveling through upstate New York as Peter and Thor are still sitting down.
"How long is this trip?" Thor is curious.
"It's been two hours, we're almost there. I just hope this trip is worth it. MJ stayed behind to cover me, I just hope that May hasn't noticed that I've traveled so far upstate." Peter says to Thor.
"Thank you for helping me, it means so much." Thor is grateful to Peter.
"It's the right thing to do." Peter says to Thor.
"So how is it that you, a simple boy has the powers of the spider?" Thor is curious about his story.
"I got it by accident, or at least that's what I thought." Peter says to Thor.
"What do you mean?" Thor says to Peter.
"A blind woman told me that I was chosen to become a hero unlike any other, that I am destined to restore balance in this world." Peter explained his destiny.
"Apparently she is right. Your realm hasn't had a hero in a century, the last one was a soldier with extraordinary feats who died out saving the world in a world war." Thor refers to a certain super solider.
"This world still need heroes willing to do what's right." Peter says to Thor.
"I bet that you must've enjoyed the life of a hero, beating the bad guys abs saving life, must be thrilling." Thor envy Spider-Man's adventures.
"I don't do this for the thrill. I do this because it's my responsibility, not for fame or fortune." Peter explained to Thor.
"You're definitely not like the tales I've heard from Heimdall. Some think that you're in it for the glory, but I could see now that they were wrong. I envy you, you use your gifts for selfless reasons. Not like me, I always craved battle and adventure, I only thought about myself. I went to Jotunheim behind my father's back and hoped that I could end a war before it starts, instead I might've started it. My father was greatly disappointed in me, he took away my powers, stripped me of my title, and exiled me to your realm. I've made mistakes and ended up losing everything." Thor explained how he ended up on Earth.
"I've made mistakes too, before Spider-Man, I thought that I could use my gifts to make money, I let it get to my head and didn't care what happens to anything around me. I ignored my responsibilities and it came with unintended consequences, it took someone I love away from me. Since then I swore that I would never let that happen ever again. Believe me Thor, I understand how you feel. But the point is that we can still change and be better than we were. You have a chance to be a better person Thor." Peter said his story to Thor.
Thor actually admire Spider-Man, he's definitely more than what everyone thought of him as. He has his flaws but chose to overcome them and be better than he ever was before. He's starting to learn what it truly means to be a hero, he hopes that he could be just like Spider-Man and do what's right.
"We are now arriving at the Catskills, please be seated as we will arrive shortly!"
"We're here." Peter says to Thor.
Later after they arrived in the Catskills, they followed the directions to the site where the crater is located. They passed by the spring break party that the college students was throwing but they still remained focused on their mission.
They left the party as they kept looking for the crater somewhere in the forest.
"Okay, according to the info we got, it should be right around here somewhere." Peter kept on looking around.
"I see it." Thor points in the direction.
Peter and Thor went to find a huge crater with a hammer still pinned down to the ground. Peter can see that Mjolnir is very real.
"Is that..." Peter is wondering.
"Mjolnir, my old hammer." Thor says to Peter.
Peter went inside the crater as Thor followed for a closer look.
"Gotta say, this is definitely not like anything I've ever seen before." Peter is looking at Mjolnir.
"It is not of this world." Thor says to Peter.
Peter sees some strange writing etched onto the hammer.
"I see some strange writing on it, it looked gibberish." Peter can't read it.
"It's not gibberish, it's Asgardian." Thor corrects him.
"What does it say?" Peter is curious as to the writing.
"It's says 'Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.'" Thor translates for Peter.
Thor is amazed that Mjolnir is in front of him, he never thought he would see it again after his exile.
"At last Mjolnir, we are together again." Thor reached his hand out.
Thor gripped the handle and pulls the hammer, but no luck as the hammer won't lift for him.
"Come on, don't do this." Thor is still pulling.
Thor uses both his hands to try to pull the hammer off the ground but he never could, the hammer refuses to lift for him, he's still unworthy.
"What's wrong?" Peter is curious.
"I can't lift this hammer, I'm unworthy." Thor gave up lifting.
"Let me see." Peter wants to try lifting it.
Thor stepped aside for Peter as he watched the Man of Spiders grab the hammer, he tries to pull it with every ounce of his strength, but even with his super strength he's still couldn't lift the hammer, Peter gave up.
"This hammer is definitely more heavy even for me." Peter is still surprised.
"It's enchanted, only those who are worthy can lift the hammer. The hammer chooses who is worthy of it." Thor explained the rules of the hammer.
"Like the Sword in the Stone." Peter says to Thor.
"The what?" Thor is confused as to the meaning.
"The Sword in the Stone, it's a story about a boy who lifts the sword from the Stone and became King." Peter explained the meaning of the term.
"Yes, it's like the Sword in the Stone." Thor agreed with Peter.
Peter's spider sense is tingling as danger is nearby, Thor noticed the expression on his face.
"What's wrong?" Thor is worried.
"We got trouble." Peter says to Thor.
Peter and Thor climbs out of the crater and took a peek, they sees four men here searching around the area, Thor and Peter remained hidden.
"It's them." Peter recognized the four men.
"Who's them?" Thor says to Peter.
"It's the Wrecking Crew, if they're here, that means trouble. I have to go and change." Peter pulled his backpack.
"You're going to face them alone?" Thor says to Peter.
"I have to, you don't have your powers, you'll be vulnerable. Wait here." Peter says to Thor.
Thor listened to Peter's advice since he doesn't have his powers. Peter found a place nearby to change into his suit.
The Wrecking Crew kept on looking around the forest to find this Thor guy, and they hope to find Spider-Man along the way.
"He said that they be here. Where is Spider-Man?" Thunderball still itching for revenge.
They heard a noise as Spider-Man came in swing for a drop kick to Thunderball's head, pushing him down to the ground. Spider-Man landed in front of them.
"Spider-Man! Finally you show yourself to us! He told us that you would be here." Wrecker says to Spider-Man.
"He who?" Spider-Man is curious.
"Some god who calls himself Loki, he sent us to kill his brother Thor, but when we found out that you were with him, we do it for chance for revenge." Wrecker gave the details.
Thor is hidden in the crater as he listened and is shocked to hear that his brother Loki sent them to kill him and the Man of Spiders.
"You've humiliated us in our last encounter. This time we came prepared. Wrecking Crew, get him!" Wrecker orders his crew.
Bulldozer came in charging in as Spider-Man jumped over him but was surprised by the ball being swung at him, it hit him and Spider-Man got hit pretty hard by the ball, he crashed against a tree.
"What the..." Spider-Man is surprised by their new powers.
"A little gift Loki gave us, our weapons are more powerful than ever." Wrecker says to Spider-Man.
"Powerful or not, that's not going to stop me. I'll find a way to stop you!" Spider-Man won't give up.
"Don't be so sure." Wrecker smiled in confidence.
Piledriver came in fast as Spider-Man does what he can to avoid the incoming hits Piledriver is throwing at him. Spidey does his best to dodge the hits but one kick to the gut hurts him. The Wrecking Crew is getting the best of Spider-Man with their enhanced weapons.
Piledriver chuckled. "You're no match for us, Spider-Man."
Piledriver picked Spider-Man up and tossed him at Bulldozer to catch, Bulldozer has the Web-Slinger trapped as the Wrecking Crew gained the advantage.
"This is for all the humiliations you gave us." Piledriver throws the first punch.
Spider-Man got punched hard as Thor watched, next Thuderball came up and punched Spider-Man in the gut while Bulldozer still has him trapped. Thor could see that Spider-Man is getting punched again and again, they're killing him.
"I can't stand by and let him die for me!" Thor can't bear to watch.
Thunderball and Piledriver stopped punching Spider-Man as Wrecker has his crowbar in hand.
"At last, the Mighty Spider-Man has fallen. But don't worry, I shall give you a quick death." Wrecker is threatening to kill Spider-Man.
Wrecker has his crowbar ready as he's about to swing to deliver the final blow to Spider-Man's head.
"No... NOOO!!!!" Thor came out running and yelling.
Wrecker sees Thor running towards them, but he ignored him as he's about to swing his crowbar hard at Spider-Man.
"Please Allfathers, Give me strength!" Thor reached his hand out to Spider-Man.
Unknown to everyone, Mjolnir in the crater is sparking lightning and lifting itself of the ground.
"Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." Odin's words.
Mjolnir lifted off the ground and came to Thor in his time of need, it saw that Thor is finally worthy.
Thor could see that Mjolnir came to his hand as he still sees Wrecker is about to kill Spider-Man with the crowbar. Thor tossed the hammer hard towards Wrecker as he swings his crowbar at Spider-Man, the hammer came in flying hard at high speed, it finally hit Wrecker before he could finish the blow, saving Spider-Man's life.
"What the hell?!" Piledriver is shocked.
Mjolnir returned back to Thor's hand, Spider-Man is still trapped but he sees Thor finally wields the hammer in his hand. The Wrecking Crew is still stunned by what just happened, including their boss who got back up after getting hit by the hammer.
"You!" Wrecker is angry at Thor.
"My turn." Thor raised the hammer up in the air.
Clouds in the sky form up above the area as a single lightning strike rain down onto Thor, the light became so bright as everyone is blinded by the bright light. Thor's armor is materializing itself around him as Spider-Man is witnessing something truly amazing.
"Oh... my... god." Spider-Man is stunned by what he's seeing.
The bolt of lightning stopped as everyone see Thor in his Asgardian armor and red cape, holding his hammer Mjolnir. The Wrecking Crew is stunned by what they saw. Spider-Man could see that they're distracted as he he headbutt backwards Bulldozer who got distracted, Bulldozer got hit hard as his grip on Spider-Man loosens, Spider-Man fired off some webbing at the crews eyes, blinding them.
He went to join Thor who regained his godhood after finally proving himself worthy to Mjolnir.
"Thor... you really are a god!" Spider-Man is still surprised by Thor's new appearance.
"I've told you so." Thor smiled at Spider-Man.
The Wrecking Crew removed the webbing from their faces as they see Spider-Man and Thor working together, the heroes see them recovery.
Spider-Man laughed. "You guys are so screwed now!"
"Let's finish this!" Thor challenges the Wrecking Crew.
Thor runs towards them with his hammer in hand, the Wrecking Crew charged at him too. Thor jumped up high in the air as he charges up his hammer, he then dives down with hammer swinging down, the hammer slammed down unleashing a wave of lightning around, he took down the whole Wrecking Crew with a single hit.
"Whoa! Gotta get me one of those!" Spider-Man is amazed by his powers.
The Wrecking Crew are getting bested by a god, they realize that even with their enhanced weapons, they're still no match for a god.
"Want to dance?" Thor says to the Wrecking Crew.
"Let's get out of here!" Wrecker orders his crew to retreat.
The Wrecking Crew ran away from the scene as the God of Thunder is too much for them, especially with Spider-Man at his side.
"I guess they're not as tough as they claim to be. By the way, thanks for saving my life." Spider-Man is grateful to Thor.
"It was my pleasure, Man of Spiders." Thor smiled at Spider-Man.
(Asgard)
Loki is in the throne room as he watched as his brother Thor finally regained his powers, thanks to Spider-Man showing him what it truly means to be a hero.
"This is not good." Loki is starting to panic.
(Earth)
"So now what?" Spider-Man asking Thor.
"Now we take the fight to Loki. He has a lot of answer for. Heimdall!" Thor calling out to Heimdall.
(Asgard)
Heimdall returned to his post guarding the Bifrost, he then heard Thor's voice from Midgard. Heimdall was watching as Loki took actions against Thor in his exile. He decided to go against the word of the king and activate the Bifrost.
(Earth)
Spider-Man and Thor look to the skies to see that clouds are forming up, Thor could tell that the Bifrost is coming.
"It's coming. Care to join me in his fight?" Thor says to Spider-Man.
"Glady, but first things first." Spider-Man webbed up his backpack and pulled it to him. "Can't leave it lying around."
Thor sense the Bifrost is coming as they hear a crack sound in the sky.
"Hang on tight." Thor says to Spider-Man.
"To what?" Spider-Man is curious.
The Bifrost came down onto Spider-Man and Thor as it transports them both away from the Earth.
Spider-Man is surprised by what is happening to him, he's traveling through a space bridge seeing too much.
(Asgard)
Spider-Man and Thor both arrived at the Bifrost Gate as Spider-Man is still shaking off by everything he just saw, but how he looks around to see that he's no long on Earth anymore.
"Am I in heaven?" Spider-Man is wondering.
"Depends on your definition of heaven." Thor says to Spider-Man.
Spider-Man looked beyond the gate to see a civilization unlike any he's ever seen before in his entire life, it's beautiful.
"Whoa!" Spider-Man is amazed by the beauty of the place.
Spider-Man then sees a man standing with a sword looking at him.
"Man of Spiders, welcome to Asgard." Heimdall smiled at Spider-Man.
Meanwhile in the throne room, Loki is starting panic after Thor had his powers returned to him.
"Guards, make sure that no one get inside the palace. I mean no one, understood?" Loki orders the guards.
The guards comply with Loki's orders as his mother Frigga is coming and noticed that the palace guards are on alert.
"My son, what's going on?" Frigga is concerned.
"Nothing to worry about, mother." Loki assured Frigga.
The palace door made a huge pound as Loki and Frigga heard it coming from outside.
"What was that?" Frigga is wondering what's outside the palace door.
The door opened as Loki and Frigga sees Thor has returned to Asgard in the company of Spider-Man and Heimdall.
"Thor?" Frigga smiled in joy.
"It's me, mother. I've come back home." Thor smiled as his mother.
Frigga ran up to hug her son who just returned from his exile, Loki is starting to worry as Thor's presence here can be a threat to him.
"Brother! It's so good to see you again!" Loki pretending to be happy for his brother Thor.
"Are you, brother? That's not what I've heard from the Wrecking Crew. They said that you sent them to kill me." Thor isn't too happy with Loki.
Frigga is shocked to hear that Loki is behind the assassination attempt on his own brother.
"Son, is this true?" Frigga asking Loki.
"Of course not, why would I kill my brother?" Loki denies his involvement.
"What you committed against me is treason!" Thor still unconvinced of Loki's words.
"I've committed treason?! You, who disobeyed our father, who exiled you from Asgard for your transgressions, to make matter worse, you've come back with a mortal who doesn't belong in our realm!" Loki says to Thor.
"What about this?" Spider-Man holding an Asgardian gold coin.
"Where did you get that?" Frigga is curious about the coin.
"Got it from one of the Wrecking Crew when he wasn't looking." Spider-Man holding the coin.
"The coin is of Asgard. You have anything to say now brother?!" Thor still accusing Loki.
Everyone now knows that Loki has committed treason against the royal family by trying to kill Thor.
"Ah brother, you never should've come back. But no, you had to ruin everything." Loki says to Thor.
"Guards! Arrest him!" Thor gave the orders.
The palace guards has Loki surrounded as they attempted to arrest Loki for treason, but they were all fooled as the Loki standing in front of them is an illusion.
"An illusion! He's got away!" Thor is disappointed.
"Where would he go?" Spider-Man is wondering.
"I can see him, he's heading for the Bifrost." Heimdall can see everything.
"He's trying to escape Asgard." Spider-Man says to Thor.
"He won't. Let's go!" Thor says to Spider-Man.
Thor got Spider-Man to hold on to him as he spins the hammer around and sends it flying along with them.
(Bifrost)
Loki has a head start as his illusion bought him some time to escape. He almost reached the Bifrost gate until he see Thor and Spider-Man passing by him and landed between Loki and the Bifrost gate.
"It's over brother, no more running. The only way to the Bifrost is through us." Thor standing in the way.
"I had hoped that the Wrecking Crew would make quick work of you both, but I see now that they're nothing but a joke. But as you say in your realm, Man of Spiders, if you want something done right, do it yourself." Loki challenge both Thor and Spider-Man.
Loki still wields Gungnir as he uses it to fire of a beam of energy at them, Spider-Man dodge the beam as Thor jumped to fight his brother, Thor swings his hammer as Loki blocks with the spear.
(Odin's Bed Chamber)
Odin is still asleep in his bed until he sensed conflict happening in his realm, he woke up prematurely from his Odinsleep.
(Bifrost)
Loki gain the upper hand by using the spear to swing around for a drop kick to Thor, dropping him down onto the floor. Loki points the spear at Thor for the finishing blow until Spider-Man fired off a web line at the spear and tries to pull it. Loki grabbed the web line and pulled it along with Spider-Man. Spider-Man is coming in the air as he unleashes a volley of webbing at Loki, but the God of Mischievous block the incoming webs.
Loki counters by tossing some knives at Spider-Man but the Web-Slinger can predict the incoming knives as he uses his spider sense to dodge every one of them. Loki is shocked that the mortal Spider-Man is able to avoid all his knives.
"Impossible." Loki is surprised.
Spider-Man does the flying punch to Loki's face and strike him hard. Spider-Man landed on his feet and throws in some punches, hurting Loki until Loki caught Spider-Man's fist and started to crush it slowly, Spider-Man felt the pain.
"You dare strike a god!" Loki isn't too happy.
Loki continues to crush the fist some more making Spider-Man flinch in pain. Thor sees the Man of Spiders is in trouble as he tossed the hammer at his brother, Loki got hit and was forced to release Spider-Man. Thor ran to help the Man of Spiders up.
"Are you alright?" Thor said concerned.
"Yeah, thanks." Spider-Man is grateful to Thor.
Loki got up and shine some light, Thor and Spider-Man were blinded briefly until they see illusions of Loki walking towards them.
"There's too many! How can we tell which is which?!" Thor trying to find the real Loki.
"I got this." Spider-Man closes his eyes.
He's been in this same situation before with Mysterio as he plans to uses his spider sense to navigate through Loki's illusion trick. The illusions of Loki each pointed their spears at them as Spider-Man can sees where the danger is coming from, he managed to lock onto the real Loki.
"Thor, strike there!" Spider-Man points towards the real Loki.
Thor tossed Mjolnir at the real Loki as it hits him effectively, the illusions of Loki has disappeared after Loki got hit. Loki is still on the ground as he reach for Gungnir on the floor, but Spider-Man was able to web and pull it to him. Thor is in front of Loki laying on his back, he placed Mjolnir onto Loki to keep him trapped. Loki struggles to get free but is unable to with Mjolnir pinning him down. Spider-Man and Thor stand to see Loki trapped and defeated.
"Like I said, it's over, brother." Thor says to Loki still trapped.
"I couldn't agree with you more, my son." Odin is awake.
Thor and Spider-Man sees the King of Asgard Odin standing before them.
"Father." Thor says to his father.
"Thor, my son, you've got your powers back, it shows that you're worthy." Odin sees Thor regained his godhood.
"Yes father, it wasn't easy, but I've managed to lift the hammer. I'm no longer that same son you've exiled, I've changed thanks to the help of a friend." Thor referring to the Man of Spiders.
"I see." Odin says to Thor.
"Father, he defied you by returning to Asgard, and not only that, he brought a mortal into our realm. This treachery cannot be ignored." Loki tries to persuade Odin.
"After you tried to have me kill, brother. But I must admit that if you hadn't tried to kill me and the Man of Spiders, I might not have found what it means to be worthy of Mjolnir, but more than that, I finally learned what it means to be a hero, just like the Man of Spiders." Thor says to Loki.
"So you've tried to have your brother killed? That is something that cannot be tolerated. Loki Odinson, you are hereby charged of crimes against the royal family of Asgard. You shall be sentenced to be locked up for your crimes. Guards, take him away." Odin orders the palace guards.
Thor summoned Mjolnir to his hand as the guards picked Loki up to be arrested for his crimes. They cuffed him and took him away.
"I shall get you both for this! I swear it! Payback, you hear me?!" Loki yelled out in anger.
Loki is taken away as Odin looks at Thor.
"Thor..." Odin says to his son.
"Father, I know that I have disappointed you in the past and I still have a long way to go before you welcome me back home. But I shall do what I can to make you proud of me." Thor says to Odin.
"My son... I already am. You truly have changed, and I can see that this young mortal might be responsible for this change of yours. But for now, welcome back home, my son." Odin welcome Thor home.
Thor smiled as he finally welcomed back home from his exile.
"Now as for you... what your name?" Odin looking at Spider-Man.
"Peter Parker." Spider-Man took of his mask.
"I'll take that back now." Odin reached his hand and summoned Gungnir to him. "Now kneel."
Spider-Man has no idea what Odin has planned for him but Thor encouraged Spider-Man to do so, he kneeled before Odin.
"Peter of Midgard, for your actions of helping my son, bringing him home, and helping take down Loki, you are hereby declared as a true friend of Asgard and shall be recognized as such." Odin knighted Spider-Man. "Rise."
Spider-Man rise up on his feet. "Thank you, King Odin."
"We're planning to throw a feast for my son's return, we would be honored if you would join us." Odin invited Spider-Man.
"I be honored, but I've been away from home for a time. I really like to get back home." Spider-Man expressed his desire to go home.
"Very well, Heimdall can open the Bifrost to your realm for you. Goodbye Man of Spiders, May the Allfathers look upon you." Odin says his goodbye.
"This way if you'll please." Heimdall escort Spider-Man to the Bifrost.
Later at the Bifrost gate, Heimdall placed the sword in the chamber and activates the Bifrost to Earth. Spider-Man picked up the backpack he left at the gate.
"Do you think that you can send me back so close to home? I really hate to travel back so far from home." Spider-Man
"Not to worry, Man of Spiders." Heimdall assured Spider-Man.
"Wait!" Thor came as quickly as he can.
Spider-Man sees Thor coming towards them.
"Thor, what are you doing here?" Spider-Man is wondering.
"Are you sure that you won't stick around? I'm sure there are Asgardians who would love to hear your tales." Thor says to Spider-Man.
"I'm sure, I'm needed back home. Someone still need to look out for the little guy." Spider-Man said his reasons to return home.
"Are you sure that you're not Asgardian? You could be the God of Spiders." Thor says to Spider-Man.
"Yeah, I'm sure." Spider-Man smiled at Thor.
The Bifrost is opened to Earth as they see the bridge.
"I guess this it." Spider-Man says to Thor.
"It is. Thank you for all your help, I can see now that Midgard is lucky to have a hero like you. I hope that our paths cross again someday." Thor extends his hand
Spider-Man took it and shakes hands with Thor.
"Always remember, Man of Spiders, that you have a friend here in Asgard, don't ever forget." Thor says to Spider-Man.
"I won't forget, and thank you for showing me Asgard." Spider-Man says to Thor.
"Goodbye Man of Spiders, it's been an honor." Thor says his goodbyes.
Spider-Man walks to the Bifrost as he stops and waves Thor goodbye, Thor smiled and waved back. Spider-Man enters the Bifrost and is sent back home to Earth.
"Good luck." Thor looking at the stars.
Back on Earth as it's nighttime, at Central Park, some people are walking and hanging out at the park until they see a bright light coming down from the sky. Everyone is blinded by the light until it stops. They see Spider-Man here in the park as they're freaked out by what just happened.
"Ah, it's good to be back home. Good news is that I help got Thor home and we've stopped Loki together. At least I won't have to think about Loki anytime soon." Spider-Man says to himself.
Time Skip
Three Months Later
A couple of Asgardian prison guards are down as a cell door is opened and Loki is now loose.
"If you think that you won't have to worry about me, Man of Spiders, think again." Loki smiled mischievously.
