Volume III: Spider-Woman
Note: This will be the third chapter of Volume III, this chapter will introduce Jessica Drew, the daughter of the creator of the super spiders Dr. Jonathan Drew, she's an enhanced individual with the powers of the spider, she enters her journey in being the superhero Spider-Woman. Gwen Stacy is struggling with her life in London as she forced back into her old life as a hero, she crosses paths with Jessica Drew as they team up in saving Jessica's father from HYDRA who plays as the villains of this chapter. Meanwhile Peter is still training Miles Morales as his new sidekick as Mary Jane ask Peter out on a date as a promise she made to Gwen. May Parker will play a vital role in Gwen's future.
It's September 21st and 11:47 PM in London, at the home of Arthur Stacy and his family, everyone is asleep in their own respected rooms until Gwen Stacy is shaking in her sleep having nightmares.
(Flashback)
Five Months Ago in Brooklyn Chinatown where the NYPD was at war with the Inner Demons, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider have been bested by Mister Negative as he's using his powers of corruption on them both, they've done their best to resist but it's too powerful.
"Don't resist, it's pointless. Soon you both shall be working for me." Mister Negative corrupting Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider.
George Stacy rushed with the pipe in his hands while Mister Negative isn't looking, he managed to surprise him by hitting him on the back of the head, he got hit pretty hard as he stopped using his powers on the heroes. George went to check up them to see how they are.
"Are you both alright?" George Stacy asking the heroes.
Mister Negative recovered his strength as he grabs a sword on the ground, George noticed him getting back up, he swings the pipe at Mister Negative but the supervillain supercharged his sword with negative energy and cuts the pipe in half. Mister Negative side kicks George, staggering him as he lost focus. Mister Negative took the opportunity of thrusting the sword through George's body as the two spider heroes watched helplessly.
"NOOOO!!!!" Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider yells out in horror.
(Present)
Gwen Stacy wakes up from her nighttime and looked terrified in sweat, she remembers that night that Mister Negative took the life of her father George Stacy. Gwen is still shaking from that one tragedy that ended her father's life. She gets off the bed and heads towards the closet and pick out some clothes for her to dress in, she puts on track pants and a white hoodie as she puts on a white ski mask. She quietly opens the window and jumps out of her room and heads on out.
Later in London as Big Ben's clock hand reaches twelve as its now September 22nd and the clock tower chimes all around London, Gwen Stacy is running and jumping across rooftops without any web shooters, even though she hasn't been active as a hero in five months, she still has it. She arrived at Piccadilly Square to look down and see that it's still somewhat crowded even in midnight.
"I miss this, going around jumpy rooftop to rooftop." Gwen missed the old life.
"Help!!!"
Gwen heard what appears to be screaming nearby, she decided to go and investigate it. She found an alleyway where a local gang are coming onto a woman frightened by what they have planned for her.
"Get away from me!!!"
"Come on, love, that's not very lady like. Perhaps we should teach you some manners! Shall we, lads!"
The woman is yelling out in fear as the gang attempts to have their way with her, but Gwen landed down in the alleyway still wearing a ski mask to hide her face.
"Hey! Get away from her!!" Gwen yells out to the gang.
The gang all stopped as they turned around to see a mysterious figure in a black hoodie.
"Look love, I don't know who the bloody hell you are, I don't give a damn. So why don't you run back to daddy!"
Gwen felt offended. "What did you say?"
"What? You deaf or don't you have a daddy to run to? What's the matter, did your daddy die? Boohoo, I'm crying!"
Gwen's eyes are filled with rage as they talked about her father like that, Gwen moved in fast as a couple of gang members move in to stop her, but she jumped up and does a hurricanrana on one of them and flips him down on the ground, she then does the back sweep kick on the other, tripping him off his feet and he falls down. The last three gang members are shocked by how she can handle herself in a fight. Two more joined in as Gwen does the Martelo de Negativa kick one and the other came towards her, but she managed to sneak her way behind him and jumps up to perform a reverse frankensteiner, she flips him down to the ground, the last guy sees that she bested four guys without difficulty, she walks towards him as he pulls out his butterfly knife.
"Get away from me, freak!"
"Is that supposed to scare me?!" Gwen isn't afraid.
The guy swings his knife at her, but she quickly strikes his hand with an inner crescent kick and kicked the hand hard as the knife was forced off his hand, he yelled out in pain as he kick broke his hand.
"Ahh!!! My hand!!!"
Gwen then does the push kick and knocked him down on his back, the man is in pain from his broken hand, Gwen looked at the woman she saved from them.
"You should go." Gwen tells her to leave.
The woman is running out of the alleyway as the gang leader is bested by a mysterious girl, Gwen walks towards him with rage as the man is afraid.
"Please, don't! Mercy!"
"Were you going to show mercy to the woman you guys attacked?" Gwen isn't moved.
"Okay, I'm sorry, it won't happen again!"
Gwen grabbed his neck and picked him up in the air as he's at her mercy.
"You're right, it won't!" Gwen holding him up.
"No! No!!!!!"
Gwen has her fist ready to beat up this scumbag with all her rage she felt, but she hesitated as police sirens came from the alley opening.
"You got lucky!" Gwen tells the gang leader.
She tossed him towards the trash cans and he crashed against them, Gwen took the opportunity to make her escape as she jumps on the wall and crawls up to the rooftop. London police came into the alleyway and found five gang members all beaten up and yet still alive, they're all very confused as to who or what did all this.
The next morning back home, the alarm clock rang as Gwen Stacy is still asleep and ignoring the ringing as Jill Stacy came into the room and hits the snooze button.
"There! Hey Gwen, are you still asleep?" Jill telling a sleeping Gwen Stacy.
Gwen is still sleeping as she was awake last night fighting off some criminals in London, Jill shakes Gwen up trying to wake her up again.
"Hey! Wake up! We have school, get up!" Jill shaking Gwen.
Gwen is reluctantly waking up after Jill disturbed her sleep, Gwen stretched her arms up in the air and yawns, she then rubs her eyes as Jill could see that she's still tired.
"Have you been up all night?" Jill asking Gwen.
"Yeah, I had a nightmare and I just couldn't sleep." Gwen told Jill a half truth.
"Well, we can talk about that another time. Come on, we're up on the field trip to Oxford to check out their science department. You're still into that stuff, right?" Jill told Gwen.
"Yeah... just let me brush and get dressed up, I'll meet you in the dining room." Gwen told Jill.
"Okay, I'll be waiting. Take your time." Jill told Gwen before she leaves.
Jill had left the room as Gwen is still tired out from last night, she got back into the action for the first time in five months, she gets off the bed and gets ready for school.
At the home of Jonathan Drew, the professor is having breakfast with his daughter Jessica Drew, she's a 26 year old female with long black hair and green eyes.
"You know what to say at the tour?" Jessica Drew asking her father.
"Not to worry, Jessica, I've made many demonstrations before, even abroad at the Stark Expos." Jonathan Drew is confident.
"And both theses times you've lost two spiders, and one very recently." Jessica Drew told him of his misfortunes.
"Thanks for reminding me, Jessica. Though I do wonder if those heroes who gain the powers of the spider are somehow connected to the ones I'm working on. I remember having an assistant years ago named Julia Carpenter who worked with me on the project who acted strange. Could she been exposed to the experiment that gave her powers too?" Jonathan Drew has a theory.
Jessica Drew is fully aware of her father's experiments on the spider, she can't help but think that his experiments played a vital role in creating Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider.
"Maybe it was just a coincidence." Jessica Drew told her father.
"Yeah, you're probably right. Maybe I was getting my hopes up. Anyway, I should get going, have many potential students to meet. Wish me luck, Jess." Jonathan Drew told his daughter before leaving.
"Good luck." Jessica Drew told her dad before he walked out.
Jessica is left alone as her father had already left, she held up her hand and display a power of bio-electrokinesis glowing yellow.
"Oh father, your work did create those heroes, just like it created me." Jessica Drew told herself.
Jessica Drew is also another spider enhanced individual like Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider, but her powers came with bio-electrokinesis. Her father doesn't know that his experiments on the spiders also gave his daughter powers too.
(Outside)
Jonathan Drew hoped into his car and headed off to his work at Oxford, a car was following after him and keeping his distance, the driver has a ring on his finger with the symbol for HYDRA on it, he uses the car's systems to make a call.
"Status on Dr. Drew?" Arnim Zola asking the operative.
"Zola, I have my eyes on him. He's heading towards the university as we speak."
(HYDRA facility)
At the HYDRA facility hidden in the White Cliffs of Dover, Arnim Zola is personally leading the operation, Crossbones along with HYDRA soldiers are assembled here for a special operation that involves Dr. Jonathan Drew.
"Excellent, keep your eyes on him at all time." Arnim Zola orders the operative.
"Yes, Zola."
"Crossbones, is everything ready for your mission?" Arnim Zola asking Crossbones.
Crossbones walked up. "Yes, my team is armed and ready."
"Then today is the day, our mission to capture Dr. Jonathan Drew, alive." Arnim Zola told their mission.
"Yes, Zola." Crossbones told Arnim Zola.
"Once we have the doctor in our hands, we shall force him to reveal his secrets in creating spider enhanced individuals, imagine it, to be able have an army of warriors that can fight like Spider-Man on our side, HYDRA shall rein supreme. Hail HYDRA!!!" Arnim Zola tells his men.
"Hail HYDRA!" Crossbones yells out.
"Hail HYDRA!!!"
A school bus is driving down the road heading for Oxford University, Gwen is sitting with her cousin Jill as she turns to her other classmates watching the news on their phone concerning an unknown vigilante that made an appearance last night.
"It is unknown who or what intervened, but we did receive CCTV footage of the alleyway where the event happened. Someone managed to face off against five thugs all alone. Scotland Yard has no leads as to who this vigilante, the investigation is ongoing."
"Gwen?" Jill asking Gwen.
"Huh? Sorry, I was distracted." Gwen tells Jill.
"So what are your plans after graduation? Planning to attend universities here or back home?" Jill is curious.
"Not sure, but I might be able to head back home to New York." Gwen tells Jill.
"You don't like it here in England?" Jill is wondering.
"No, I like it here, it just doesn't fell like home. I had hopes that one day I would go back home to New York where I belong." Gwen tells Jill.
"Going back home to him, you mean?" Jill talking about Peter Parker.
"Yes." Gwen admits to Jill.
"Look, I don't want you to get your hopes up, but even if you do go back, there's a decent chance that your old boyfriend might've moved on, most likely found someone new." Jill tells Gwen.
"Believe it or not, I hope he does. I don't want him to end up alone, I wish that he finds someone to share his life with." Gwen tells Jill.
"You really love him so much." Jill could tell how strong their love is.
"I still do, I'll never stop loving him." Gwen admits to Jill.
Gwen looks out the window and thinks about Peter Parker, the love of her life. She wonders if he and Mary Jane are still close as friends or as much more. Gwen asked Mary Jane to stay by his side when she herself couldn't be there for him.
Back home in Queens at Midtown High, everyone is still outside as school hasn't started yet, in the courtyard, Peter is sitting alone thinking about Gwen, his true love. Mary Jane and Harry are sitting with Flash, Liz, and the rest of their classmates.
"So Osborn, did you get them?" Flash asking Harry.
"I did it, I've got the tickets for Coney Island tomorrow, I got enough for everybody." Harry holds up the tickets.
"Thanks man, you're the best." Flash took his ticket.
"Thank you, Harry." Liz took her ticket.
"What she said." Randy took his ticket.
"Guess there are perks to having a rich kid as a friend." Harry shows off his status.
Mary Jane took her ticket, Harry gave her another ticket as she wonders what the extra ticket is for.
"What's the other ticket for?" Mary Jane is wondering.
"For my best bud Pete, I'd figured you should be the one to give it to him." Harry told Mary Jane.
"I don't know if he'll want to go or not, he's been... pretty busy." Mary Jane told Harry.
Harry sighed. "Look, I know things haven't been easy for Pete ever since Gwen moved away. Normally I would ask him to come with us, but I'd figured the only one who can get through to him is you. Please help him out MJ, Pete's is our friend."
Mary Jane sighed. "Okay, I'll ask him after school. No promises though."
"Thanks MJ." Harry told Mary Jane.
The school bell rang as class is about to start, everyone is heading into the school as Mary Jane looked at Peter walking in alone, she has her ticket and Peter's, she wonders if he'll have the time for fun since he's busy being a hero and training a sidekick. She remembers the promise she made to Gwen to be there for Peter, she intends to keep that promise.
At Oxford University, the entire class is walking around campus getting a tour of what the school is like, Gwen and Jill are looking.
"Wow, can you imagine being accept into a school like this?" Jill asking Gwen.
"Yeah, maybe in another life." Gwen told Jill.
Later after the outside tour, the class finally made it inside to their science department, Dr. Jonathan Drew is personally giving out the tour and showing the what their scientists are working on.
"Welcome to the science department, students, here we research everything from small cells to living species, take a look at what my team and I have developed." Jonathan Drew told the class.
The secondary school class all looked the terrarium containing the genetically altered super spiders that Gwen Stacy is very familiar with since they're the very same spiders that gave her and powers and changed their lives forever. Jill take a closer look to see that they're unlike any species of spider seen before.
"Wow! Never seen spiders like these before." Jill is amazed.
"I have, twice." Gwen knows of the spiders too well.
Gwen's spider sense is tingling as danger is nearby, the doors got busted down hard by Crossbones and agents of HYDRA, they threw shots in the air as everyone is scared, Gwen can't do anything since she doesn't have a suit or webshooters with her, she can't compromise her identity with everyone her. Gwen got a good look at one of the agents with an insignia on his shoulder of a red skull with tentacles coming out underneath the mouth, it's the symbol of HYDRA.
"Alright, everyone stay where you are! Don't do anything stupid!" Crossbones tells the civilians.
Jonathan Drew steps forward as a HYDRA agent aims his rifle at him, he puts his hands up without resistance.
"Please don't hurt anyone! What do you want?" Jonathan Drew asking HYDRA.
"You, Dr. Jonathan Drew. We want you!" Crossbones tells of his mission.
"Me? Why?" Jonathan Drew is confused.
"We were just ordered to bring you in alive and unharmed. You will come with us, or watch as we slaughter these innocent people you asked us not to hurt. Make a choice now! One... Two..." Crossbones is counting down until he starts killing.
Gwen is among the hostages as HYDRA is threatening to kill everyone here, she tightened her fists without anyone seeing, she's willing to expose herself to save lives. But Jonathan Drew spoke up before she got the chance to fight.
"Wait!!! I'll go!!!" Jonathan Drew is willing to go with them.
"Wise choice, let's go." Crossbones told Jonathan Drew.
Jonathan Drew is walking towards HYDRA as they took him with them, his actions has saved everyone's lives. Crossbones and HYDRA took Dr. Drew into their custody as Gwen and everyone watched them leave peacefully. Gwen is confused as to why HYDRA wants the scientist so bad that they're willing to kill to get him. HYDRA had left with Jonathan Drew as their valuable hostage, Gwen couldn't do anything to stop them.
(Later)
About three hours later, the police are gathered at Oxford and questioning everyone concerning the abduction of Jonathan Drew, Jill is outside alone.
"How long do you think this is going to take, Gwen?" Jill asking Gwen who isn't here.
Jill looks around to see that Gwen has disappeared from the school group, she wonders where did she go.
(Inside)
Gwen is inside the office of Jonathan Drew, she managed to sneak through the window as she went through the desk to find anything on the missing professor. She found a picture of himself with his deceased wife Miriam and their daughter Jessica who was six years old at the time it was taken.
"Cute family." Gwen admits to the picture.
Seeing the photo reminded Gwen of her parents, she once had a mother who passed away when Gwen was very young, and very recently her father. She got back to searching for clues on Jonathan Drew. She went through the mail that looks like they came from his house, she examined the mailing address and found out where he lives.
"Looks like the professor lives in London, now I know where you live." Gwen got a location.
She then hears footsteps as she puts everything away and quickly leaves the office through the window, the police came in to find the window opened, they went to check it out and looked outside to see nothing, they closed it ignoring that Gwen was clinging above.
"Phew, that was close. Wonder how Spider-Man is doing back home?" Gwen talking to herself.
Hours later back in New York City, at the Spider-Cave, Peter is holding up pads as Miles Morales is punching and kicking them for training. Miles has been trained in the basic strikes of combat as well as using takedowns and acrobatics in his fighting style.
"Alright, again!" Peter holding up the pads.
Miles punches and kicks the pads as his strikes are improving under Peter's training.
"Okay, that's it, we're done for the day. Well done, Miles. Your techniques are improving." Peter told Miles.
"Thanks to your training these past two weeks, I've felt more like a hero than I ever was before." Miles told Peter.
"Okay, let's not get ahead of ourselves. You're doing good, but you're not ready yet. Have some patience, you'll get there when the time is right." Peter told Miles.
Peter takes off the pads as Miles walked up to the bench and took a bottle of water and drank it down. He then looked at the glass case containing the Ghost-Spider suit.
"Peter, do you ever think about Ghost-Spider and what she became of her new life?" Miles asking Peter about Ghost-Spider.
"I still do... everyday." Peter said with a sad look.
Miles noticed it. "She's... more than just your partner, isn't she?"
Peter nodded a bit. "She was my girlfriend, the love of my life."
Miles is shocked to hear. "Wow, I had no idea that your relationship was romantic. What was she like?"
Peter smiled. "She's... pretty smart, like me, very beautiful and kind, she's even very brave. We were quite the pair.
"Sounds like you two were made for each other." Miles told Peter.
"How about you? Got anyone special in your life?" Peter is curious if Miles has a girl.
"No... well, there is this girl I just meet on my first day at Brooklyn Visions Academy. Her name is Anya, she's a freshman like me. There's nothing romantic going on between us right now, we're just friends. Kinda like you and Mary Jane." Miles told Peter.
"Did someone speak my name?" Mary Jane's voice.
Peter and Miles turns around to see Mary Jane Watson here in the Spider-Cave.
"Hey MJ, what brings you by?" Peter asking Mary Jane.
"Me and the others are planning to go to Coney Island tomorrow, Harry bought us the tickets and I got your here if you're interested." Mary Jane holding up the tickets.
"That's sweet, MJ, but I'll have to pass, I have a hero to train and I must remain vigilant in case Spider-Man is needed, thanks for asking anyway." Peter appreciates Mary Jane.
"I see... sorry I wasted your time." Mary Jane told Peter.
"Actually, you've trained me long enough and there hasn't been any crime in the city for the past two weeks. Come on, Peter, you could use a break. Go with her on a date to Coney Island." Miles encouraged Peter.
"Date?" Mary Jane blushed.
"Me and MJ are just friends." Peter blushed too.
"So? Even friends can date too, only platonically. I'm not asking you go with her as her girlfriend, just have some fun every now and then, even heroes need some fun. Come on, don't turn the girl down, please." Miles pleaded with Peter.
Peter smiled and rolled his eyes. "Okay, I guess I use a break tomorrow, but if there's trouble..."
"You'll suit up and save the day, I accept." Mary Jane handed Peter the ticket.
"Thanks, I'll see you tomorrow." Peter took the ticket.
"Sure, tomorrow. See ya Tiger." Mary Jane waved to Peter before she leaves.
Peter watched as Mary Jane walks out of the Spider-Cave, he's got a date with her tomorrow at Coney Island. Miles looked at Peter who looked distracted, Peter turns to look at Miles.
"What are you looking at? Let's get back to training, next is the blocking exercise. Practice on the dummy." Peter told Miles.
Miles walked up to the Wing Chun dummy and started to practice blocking with his arms as Peter supervise Miles's training.
At the Stacy Residence in London, Arthur Stacy is watching the recent news of the event that happened at Oxford concerning Dr. Jonathan Drew being abducted by terrorists, he's got so worried because his daughter and niece were there on a field trip.
"Earlier today at Oxford, a team of armed men stormed the University's science department and abducted Dr. Jonathan Drew who was giving a tour to secondary school students. So far there are no motives as to the professor's abduction, they haven't made any ransom demands."
Gwen and Jill returned home after their trip from school as Arthur turns off the TV and got up from the couch to see that they're both alright.
"Thank god you're both okay! I was so worried!" Arthur Stacy felt relieved their both alive.
"We're okay, dad." Jill told her father.
"I'm glad that none of you were hurt." Arthur Stacy told them.
"Okay, thanks for asking about our safety, I'm going to go upstairs." Gwen told them before leaving them.
"What's that about?" Arthur Stacy asking his daughter.
Gwen headed up the stairs as she enters her bedroom, she closes the door behind her as she opens the closet and finds a white hoodie and ski mask along with web shooters she made here and some cartridges.
Gwen sighed. "Never thought I'd have to be a hero again, but now that HYDRA has the professor, only Ghost-Spider can save him."
Gwen undress herself and began dressing up in a makeshift suit as she becomes Ghost-Spider again, she straps on the web shooters on her wrists and load up the cartridges. She opens the window and jumps out and heads towards the home of Jonathan Drew hoping to find some answers as to why HYDRA wants him so bad.
Meanwhile later at the secret HYDRA facility, Arnim Zola in his robotic body is being escorted by Crossbones and his men as they've reached the detention block and opens the cell door where Dr. Jonathan Drew is a prisoner of HYDRA, he's very confused as to why they've abducted him.
"Dr. Jonathan Drew, my name is Arnim Zola, welcome, I apologize for the cruel means to bring you here, but it's necessary." Arnim Zola meets Jonathan Drew.
"Get to the point, why am I here and what do you want?" Jonathan Drew is curious as to their intentions.
"Very well, straight to the point, I need your knowledge, your research in helping creating super soldiers for our cause." Arnim Zola revealed their plans.
"What?" Jonathan Drew is very confused.
"You heard me, I know that your research created Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider, I want you to give our troops those exact powers for world conquest." Arnim Zola told Jonathan Drew.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Jonathan Drew is even more confused.
"Don't play dumb with us, Professor. We know that you've been to New York more than twice in the past two years, we know about the work you do on the spiders. It's no coincidence that every time you've been in New York, new spider heroes keep emerging. Somehow your work gave them powers beyond imagining." Arnim Zola told Jonathan Drew.
"Even if that were true, I don't know how to give someone powers. Even if I did, I would never help you use my research for world domination. I don't care what you do to me, I'll never help you." Jonathan Drew refused to help HYDRA.
"We'll see, enjoy your stay." Arnim Zola said before leaving the cell.
Both Zola and Crossbones left the professor inside his cell who refused to help HYDRA create spider enhanced soldiers.
"So what's next, Zola? You heard him, he won't help us." Crossbones asking Arnim Zola.
"Of course he will, Rumlow, with the right leverage. Head into London and take your team with you to his home." Arnim Zola has a new mission for Crossbones.
"What for?" Crossbones is curious.
"Bring me the leverage needed to make Dr. Drew do as we ask, his daughter Jessica." Arnim Zola told Crossbones.
Crossbones is walking away as he has a new mission now, capture Jonathan's daughter Jessica Drew.
Later in London at the home of Jonathan and his daughter Jessica, she's watching the news of the incident that happened at Oxford concerning her father.
"Still no word on Jonathan Drew as the search continues, it is still unclear why the professor was abducted."
"Dad." Jessica Drew is very worried.
Jessica then heard a noise coming from outside her window as someone is attempting to open it, Jessica hides herself out of sight as the windows are opened, Ghost-Spider climbs up inside and looks around the home of Jonathan Drew. Jessica is hiding herself as she took a peek to see someone dressed in white invaded her home.
"This is place, I hope there's a clue here about Jonathan Drew." Ghost-Spider telling herself.
Jessica heard this invader mentioning her father's name, she can't help but being curious as to why she's here and what does she want with her father. Ghost-Spider searches the house and finds a cup of tea on the table, she touched it and it felt warm.
"Warm? Someone is here." Ghost-Spider is being vigilant.
Ghost-Spider's spider sense tingles as she jumps up and dodged a black haired woman charging at her at high speed. Jessica missed as she turns and looks up to see the intruder clinging to the ceiling just like she can.
"What the hell?" Jessica is stunned.
"Who are you?" Ghost-Spider asking her attacker.
"I was going to ask you the same thing. What are you doing in my home?" Jessica demanding answers.
"Your home? You live here?" Ghost-Spider is confused.
"I'll ask again! What are you doing here? Talk or I'll make you talk!" Jessica threatens Ghost-Spider.
"Is that a threat?" Ghost-Spider felt threatened.
"If it has to be!" Jessica told Ghost-Spider.
"Fine, just so you know, you started it!" Ghost-Spider told Jessica.
"And I'll finish it!" Jessica tell Ghost-Spider.
Ghost-Spider fired off some webbing but Jessica moved very quickly and dodges the webbing as Ghost-Spider is shocked to find out that she's an enhanced individual. Jessica grabbed a chair and tossed it towards Ghost-Spider who jumps off the ceiling and landed on the floor. Jessica and Ghost-Spider are facing each other waiting for one to make the move. Ghost-Spider fired a webbing as Jessica dodge and rushed towards her and throws in a straight punch, but Ghost-Spider caught her wrist and flips her down on the ground hard. Jessica attempts to get back up until Ghost-Spider wrapped her arm around her neck and holds her in place.
"Give it up, I got you." Ghost-Spider told Jessica.
"Wrong!" Jessica grabbed Ghost-Spider's arm.
Jessica unleashed her venom blast on Ghost-Spider who got shocked by so much voltage that she lets go and Jessica strikes back with a side kick and she crashed against the wall hard. Ghost-Spider fell down as she's temporarily paralyzed from the venom blast, Jessica walks up to Ghost-Spider all defenseless now.
"Now it's time to see who you are underneath the mask." Jessica reached out her hand.
Jessica got a hold of Ghost-Spider's ski mask and pulls it off the face of Gwen Stacy as Jessica sees that she's just a teenage girl, Jessica is now even more confused.
"You're... you're just a kid." Jessica is stunned.
"Obviously." Gwen told Jessica.
Jessica ceased this fight as she offer Gwen her hand to help her up, but Gwen is now aware of Jessica's ability of bio-electrokinesis, she remains careful as to whether or not trust her.
"Relax, I'm not going to hurt you. I just want answers. Okay? Truce?" Jessica tells Gwen.
Gwen still remains vigilant but her spider sense isn't tingle, she took Jessica's hand and got pulled up on her feet as they've agreed not to fight anymore.
"Okay, let's try this again. Who are you?" Jessica asking Gwen.
"Gwen Stacy, also known as Ghost-Spider." Gwen told Jessica.
"Ghost-Spider? What brings you to London? I thought you operated in New York?" Jessica told Gwen.
"It's a long story, and a painful one at that. Okay, now that I've answered your questions, I got a few of my own. Who are you?" Gwen asking Jessica.
"My name is Jessica Drew, why are you looking for my father?" Jessica told Gwen.
"Your father? Jonathan Drew is your father?" Gwen is surprised.
Gwen's spider sense is tingling strongly as danger is nearby, Jessica noticed that Gwen is distracted for some reason.
"What?" Jessica is curious.
"Danger!" Gwen puts her mask on.
The front door got broken down as HYDRA agents are entering the house one by one, Crossbones finally came into the house.
"Find the woman and take her alive!" Crossbones gave the orders.
Agents search around the house until couple of them ended up in the kitchen and Ghost-Spider is above and webbed one up and pulls him towards the ceiling, other agents noticed something is off.
"What the hell is going on here?!" Crossbones being vigilant.
Another agent got kicked hard by someone very strong as they see Jessica Drew coming from the kitchen along with what appears to be Ghost-Spider.
"Jessica Drew, we found you." Crossbones told Jessica.
"Who are you?" Jessica asking who they are.
"They're the same people who took your father." Ghost-Spider told Jessica.
"You took my father?! Where is he?!" Jessica demanded her father.
"Don't worry, you'll see him soon enough. Now if you'll kindly come with us, we'll take you straight to him." Crossbones tells Jessica.
"Don't, it could be a trap." Ghost-Spider tells Jessica.
"Honestly, I don't care what any of you think. She's coming with us, one way or another!" Crossbones is threatening them.
"Just try!" Jessica dared them all.
"Get them!" Crossbones orders his men.
A couple of HYDRA agents moved in with batons as Ghost-Spider dodge backwards and strikes back with an uppercut. Another one came at Jessica as he swings his baton down on her, but she caught it easily and strike back with a venom punch, she hits and shocks the guy at the same time. Crossbones is stunned by what he's witnessing, Jessica has powers too. Jessica is fighting off against more agents as he recognized those moves are very similar to Spider-Man's, she's got the powers of the spider.
"No freaking way!" Crossbones is stunned.
"What is it, Crossbones? Report?" Arnim Zola speaking on the comm.
"You're not going to believe this, patching you the feed." Crossbones informs Zola.
(HYDRA base)
Arnim Zola is watching the live feed of Jessica Drew fighting off against his men with Ghost-Spider using powers similar to that of Spider-Man's, he never imagined that she too has those powers.
"Impressive." Arnim Zola is amazed.
(London)
Meanwhile Ghost-Spider and Jessica are besting the agents without difficulty, Arnim Zola relays orders to Crossbones via earpiece.
"Crossbones, capture her and bring her to me!" Arnim Zola ordered Crossbones.
"Got it!" Crossbones comply with the order.
Crossbones steps in and joins the fight, he charged at the two spiders using his gauntlets as they've split and jumped away before he could land any punch, Ghost-Spider webs up the back of his feet and pulls them off the ground, Jessica got on his chest and has her fist ready with a venom glow.
"Where's my father?! Talk!!!" Jessica threatening Crossbones.
Crossbones chuckled. "Is that supposed to scare me? Do your worse, I'll never talk!"
Crossbones surprised her with a headbutt of her face as Jessica got hurt, he then use his gauntlet to punch her off him, he gets up as Ghost-Spider attempts to stop him, but he tossed down a smoke bomb. Crossbones disappears in the smoke as Ghost-Spider can't see him. Crossbones jumped out of the window and hops onto his motorcycle, Ghost-Spider reached the window but she was too late as Crossbones has escaped. Jessica recovered from her injury as she came to Ghost-Spider.
"Where is he?!" Jessica asking about Crossbones.
"He got away." Ghost-Spider told Jessica.
"Damnit!!! That guy knows where my father is and he got away!" Jessica is disappointed Crossbones escaped.
"Don't worry, we'll find him. But we can't do it here, he knows where you live and they'll come after you again. We have to go and hide for the time being." Ghost-Spider told Jessica.
Jessica sighed. "Fine, let's go."
Ghost-Spider and Jessica left the house as it's not safe anymore now that HYDRA knows where she lives and they'll come after her again at some point, they need to leave to figure out a strategy to find Jessica's father. They've ran down until they reached underground train stop and took a train together.
Back at the HYDRA facility, Arnim Zola is walking down the detention block again and enters the cell where Jonathan Drew is held captive, Jonathan Drew sees the robotic mad scientist again.
"What is it this time?" Jonathan Drew is curious.
"When you said that you didn't know how to give someone powers, you left out a certain detail concerning your daughter." Arnim Zola told Jonathan Drew.
"What are you talking about? What have you done to Jessica?" Jonathan Drew is worried for his daughter.
"It's not what we've done, more like what she's done and what she can do." Arnim Zola told Jonathan Drew.
Arnim Zola used his screen that shows his face to show him a recording of the feed that happened at Jonathan Drew's house, he sees his daughter Jessica fighting together with Ghost-Spider, he's even more surprised to find out that Jessica has powers like a spider.
"What? She has powers too?" Jonathan Drew is stunned and shocked.
"You didn't know? How curious. But this unfortunate event proves my theory is right. Your work on the spiders gave certain beings like your daughter their traits somehow." Arnim Zola told Jonathan Drew.
"Look, I don't know how or why, but I won't help you no matter what you do. I won't let my life's work be used for evil." Jonathan Drew still refused.
"Well, I guess we'll just need to capture your daughter and have her brought her for me to study her physiology, or I could use her as leverage to make you do as we ask, either way we get what we want. Think about it while you're still here, professor." Arnim Zola told Jonathan Drew before leaving.
Zola leaves the cell as Jonathan is very worried for Jessica now more than ever, he had no idea that his own daughter has powers of the spider just like the other spider heroes in New York.
It's nighttime at Waterloo Station, the whole train station is very busy with everyone boarding and exiting trains, some are hanging out at coffee stops, restaurants, and stores. Gwen and Jessica found a place to hide from the people and the CCTV cameras as they need to stay out of sight for now, they both drank some warm coffee.
"Very clever bringing us here in a place where anyone can disappear in plain sight among the crowd." Jessica told Gwen.
"I just hope that HYDRA doesn't find us, after they're failed attempts to capture you, they'll have operatives all over London searching the streets for you. It's best to stay out of sight for now." Gwen told Jessica.
"How do you know these people?" Jessica is curious about HYDRA.
"My friend Spider-Man fought against them in the past, he told me that they're a group of terrorists hell bent on world domination. If they took your father, then they clearly want something from him. If I had to guess, they want to make more of us." Gwen explained to Jessica.
"And by us you mean?" Jessica figures out.
"You, me, Spider-Man, they want to harness the powers of the spider in their army. If a force gains that kind of power, they'll be unstoppable." Gwen told Jessica.
"We can't let that happen. We need to save my father." Jessica told Gwen.
"And we will? But first, I'd like to ask you something. How did you gain your powers?" Gwen is curious of Jessica's origins.
"Very well, it all started when I was seven years old..." Jessica telling her story.
(Flashback)
Nineteen years ago, seven year old Jessica Drew is walking into the basement where her father was conducting his early experiments on the spiders, Jessica approached a terrarium where the proto super spiders are kept, she is amazed by looking at the insects.
"My father just started his work on creating a new breed of spiders, he was fascinated by their unique abilities. And I was amazed by looking at the spiders, but unfortunately one of the spiders was loose and it bit me." Jessica explained her origins.
Seven year old Jessica got bitten by the spider as she squashed it with her hand, but she felt sick from the spider bite, she fell down as he father came down to find his daughter not well.
"My father found me downstairs all feverish, he assumed that I gotten the fever. So he took me to my room to rest, not knowing that the spider bite was changing me." Jessica tells her story.
The next day, Jessica woke up to find herself all better now like brand new. She gotten off the bed as the blanket was stuck to her hand, she attempts to remove it by force as she pulled hard with her new strength. Little Jessica is confused by what just happened as she looked at her hand.
(Present)
"My entire life changed after I got that spider bite, I didn't know what to do, so I decided to keep it a secret from everyone." Jessica told her story.
"Not even your father knew?" Gwen is surprised.
"No, I was just a little girl back then, I wasn't sure how he'd react to me being different, or anyone for that matter. I don't expect you to understand." Jessica told Gwen.
"Believe me, I understand you too well. I didn't tell my father about my secret for two months until I was forced to show him. He wasn't thrill at first that I'd gotten powers and was using them doing hero work. But eventually he came to accept me for who I am, a great hero willing to do what's right." Gwen relates her experience to Jessica.
Jessica smiled. "He sounds like a great father."
Gwen sadden her face. "Yeah, he was."
Jessica's face expression changed. "Oh... I'm sorry, I had no idea."
"It's okay, I'll get over it." Gwen still dealing with her loss.
Gwen's phone is ringing, she pulls it out and finds out that it's her uncle Arthur, she answered the call.
"I better take this." Gwen answered the call. "Hey uncle."
"Gwendolyne Stacy, where are you?! It's dark and you're still out this late." Arthur sounded worried.
"I'm sorry, uncle. I just needed some time alone after everything that happened today. I'll head back home right now. See you soon." Gwen hanging up the phone.
"Gwen, don't..." Arthur Stacy got cut off.
"Sorry, I have to go. I'll be back tomorrow and help you find your father, I promise." Gwen told Jessica before leaving.
"Gwen!" Jessica tells Gwen before she's leaving.
Gwen stops and turns around wondering what Jessica is about to say.
"Thank you." Jessica told Gwen.
Gwen smiled and nodded before she leaves the hideout leaving Jessica behind as she promised to meet her again tomorrow to help save her father.
At the Stacy Residence in London, Gwen Stacy returned home to find her uncle sitting in the couch looking at his watch and not looking too happy with her right now.
"Do you have any idea what time it is?" Arthur Stacy asking Gwen.
"About 10:30, sorry I was out too long. Now if you'll excuse me." Gwen told her uncle before walking towards the stairs.
"Do you think this is funny? You and my daughter were in danger earlier today and you act like you don't care! What's going on with you?" Arthur demanding answers.
"Nothing, uncle. I just needed to be alone, it's not a big deal, okay?" Gwen tries hiding what she's been doing as Ghost-Spider.
"No, its not okay, Gwendolyne Stacy! I promised your father that I'd take care of you when he passed away!" Arthur told Gwen about his promise to her father.
"Please don't go there, uncle." Gwen doesn't want to hear more.
"Gwen, I'm just trying to understand what's going with you?!" Arthur told Gwen.
"Okay, you want to know what's going on with me?! Everything!!!" Gwen let out a voice.
Arthur stayed silent as Gwen spoke up in such a tone and she's not looking too happy with her life.
"My father was all I had left in this world, and now he's gone! Not only did I lost him, but everyone I've loved back in New York! Do you think it's fair that I had to leave my old life behind?!" Gwen told her uncle.
"Gwen, I..." Arthur is being sympathetic.
"You know what? It doesn't matter, I lost everything that really mattered to me, my father, my friends, my home, and my life. We can't change what's been done? My father is gone and my place is now with you and Jill, my only family." Gwen is tearing up.
Gwen walked away as all those feelings of losing her father and the love of her live has gotten to her. Arthur Stacy said nothing as Gwen said all she needed to say to him, he could tell that Gwen had been struggling with her new life.
Gwen finally reached her bedroom and closed her door shut behind her. She jumped on the bed and laid down crying as she gazed at a photo of herself with her father and mother, and another photo of herself with Peter Parker, the love of her life. Gwen is saddened that she lost everything on the day her father passed away, it's been hard on her.
It's 12 AM as all of London can hear Big Ben's loud chimes, at the Stacy Residence, Arthur Stacy is still awake thinking about all the things Gwen said to her about losing her old life, he holds a photo of his brother George Stacy who passed away five months ago.
"I'm sorry, brother, I tried to provide your daughter a better life here and I've failed her, I've failed you. What would you do if you were here? You always knew what's best for your girl. Please tell me what to do? Give me an answer, something, anything." Arthur Stacy talking to George's photo.
Arthur puts the photo on the coffee table as he thinks for a solution to Gwen's situation. He closes his eyes and kept thinking, until he opens them again and thought of something, he picked up a phone and made an international call to the states, calling someone he meet once a while back.
"Hello?" May asking who's calling her.
"Hi Mrs. Parker, this is Arthur Stacy, Gwen's uncle, we've meet months ago at the funeral. Do you remember?" Arthur talking to May.
"Of course, I remember. What can I do for you?" May asking Arthur.
"Listen, can you come over to London to see me in person? We need to talk." Arthur told May.
"Is everything okay with Gwen?" May asking about Gwen.
"That's exactly why I'm calling you. We need to talk about Gwen's future in person. Can you make time for a flight to London? Please, it's very important." Arthur pleaded with May.
May stayed silent until she spoke. "Alright, I'll caught an available flight to London as soon as I can."
"Okay, thank you." Arthur told May.
"See you soon, goodbye." May told Arthur before hanging up.
Arthur puts away the phone as he awaits for May Parker to arrive in London very soon for their conversation about Gwen and her future.
It's 10 PM in Queens at the Parker Residence, May has printed out her ticket for a flight to London tomorrow at 12 PM, she packing up her suitcase as Peter came by the door and noticed that she's packing.
"Going on a trip?" Peter is curious.
"Something like that, Arthur asked me to come to London to speak in person, I have flight to London tomorrow at 12 AM." May told Peter.
"Is everything okay with Gwen?" Peter is worried about Gwen.
"I don't know, I'll find out when I get there?" May told Peter.
"I see. Do you need me to go with you?" Peter is wondering.
"No, no, I'll be fine on my own. Besides, don't you have a date with Mary Jane at Coney Island tomorrow?" May reminded Peter.
"Oh, you know." Peter told May.
"Anna Watson told me, it's great that you're going out with Mary Jane, you need to have some fun in your life." May told Peter.
"So everyone keeps telling me. Are you sure you don't need me on this trip?" Peter asking May again.
"I'll be fine, go with Mary Jane tomorrow and have some fun, you need it." May encouraged Peter.
Peter smiled. "Okay, I will. Just be careful on your trip."
"I will, promise." May smiled at Peter.
Peter agreed to go to Mary Jane on their date to Coney Island tomorrow while May will be heading for London at that time too, both will be busy tomorrow.
The next day in London, at Waterloo Station, Jessica is all dressed up in her new clothes, she dressed in a red jacket with black sleeves and is wearing yellow shades. Gwen Stacy returned to see Jessica Drew dressed in her new looks.
"Gone shopping?" Gwen is wondering.
"Don't worry, I've been discreet in hiding my face, used cash to buy them, no credit card, promise. So what's the next step in finding my father?" Jessica is wondering about the plan.
"I've made contact with an intelligence agency back in the states, they're on their way here to help us. I have an idea on how to find HYDRA lair, it's risky but it's our only option. Are you sure you're up for it? There's no guarantees that it'll work and things could go wrong if it does." Gwen asking Jessica if she's up for it.
"My father is my only family I have left, I've already lost my mother, I won't lose him too. For my father, I'll risk my life." Jessica is willing to go through with it.
"Okay, here's what we'll do, listen carefully..." Gwen is explaining to Jessica the plan.
It's 11:30 AM at LaGuardia Airport, Peter is dropping off May at the airport entrance as she's getting her suitcase out of the car that she lend to Peter now that he's got a driver's license.
"Okay, that's everything. Thank you for the ride. Saved me the trouble of calling a taxi." May told Peter.
"It's no problem, it helps having a nephew who's a driver's license driving you around. Have a safe flight to London, Aunt May." Peter told May.
Peter and May gave each other a hug before she enters the airport, Peter waved to her goodbye as she waved back and goes inside. Peter gets back into the car and drives away from the lane.

Sometime later, the airplane takes off from the runway and is flying across the sea towards London as May is sitting in coach looking out at the air as it's her first time taking a plane.
Meanwhile at the secret HYDRA facility, Arnim Zola is in the monitoring room as every agent is hacking the CCTV looking for Jessica Drew who has evade them for too long, until now.
"Got it, facial recognition has got a hit. She's at the London Bridge!"
"Finally! Contact Crossbones immediately, give him the location." Arnim Zola orders his agents.
(London Bridge)
Jessica Drew waits all alone at the bridge hoping for HYDRA to find her, all of a sudden dark SUVs came up and mens with guns all took aim at Jessica Drew, Crossbones came on his motorcycle as he leads this operation.
"Don't even think about making a move, my men will kill you if you try. Luckily Zola wants you alive, but then again I don't think he'll mind if we bring back your carcass for him to exam. The choice is yours, you can come with us peacefully or in a body bag, choose now." Crossbones tells Jessica.
"That won't be necessary, as long as you take me to my father, I'll come peacefully." Jessica is willing to go with them.
"Wise choice. Where's your partner?" Crossbones asking about Ghost-Spider.
"She doesn't know I'm here, she wouldn't agree with me turning myself in for my father." Jessica told Crossbones.
"No matter, it's just you we want. Bind her!" Crossbones orders his men.
A couple of agents came up with shackles as they've restrained Jessica Drew who isn't putting up much resistance. Unknown to them, Ghost-Spider is far away wearing her regular clothes sitting on a scooter looking through the binoculars. She watched as HYDRA has taken Jessica as their prisoner and are mobilizing, heading back to base. She follows after them keeping her distance as she also has a tracker on Jessica, they'll lead her straight to their hideout and to Jessica's father.
It's about 2:30 PM back in New York at Coney Island Luna Park, Mary Jane is waiting outside for Peter Parker to arrive on their date, she checked the watched to see that he's late, probably had second thoughts or busy being Spider-Man.
Mary Jane sighed. "Peter isn't coming, go figure."
"Did someone say my name?" Peter's voice coming from behind.
Mary Jane turns around to see Peter Parker is finally here, she was worried that he was going to skip out on their date due to his double life as Spider-Man.
"Tiger, you're finally here. I was getting worried that you'd never come. What took so long?" Mary Jane tells Peter.
"I had to drop Aunt May at the airport and left Miles at the Spider-Cave to practice alone. Sorry I took so long, MJ." Peter told Mary Jane.
"Don't worry, I'm just glad you're here. Shall we?" Mary Jane smiled at Peter.
"Ladies first." Peter smiled back.
Peter and Mary Jane both walked inside Coney Island together, they've first played the water balloon game using water guns aiming at the clown's mouths making the balloons grown in size, Peter made his pop first. Mary Jane noticed as she sprayed water onto Peter's face. Peter got wet hair as he turns his water gun towards her direction and fired some water upon her, they both smiled in excitement.
Sometime later they're both sitting together on a ride called the Cyclone as they're going up along with others, Mary Jane is looking nervous being on the ride as Peter isn't unfazed.
"Do you remember when we were 12?!" Mary Jane asking Peter.
"Yeah, you made me ride the Cyclone and I threw up!" Peter told Mary Jane.
"This isn't payback, is it?!" Mary Jane tells Peter.
"Now why would I do that?!" Peter smiled as he's having fun.
Mary Jane smiled back as their car has finally reached high enough as they're going down and screamed in excitement, Peter and Mary Jane are enjoying the ride along with everyone else, going up and down in every way. Peter is finally having some fun for the first time in a while since Gwen thanks to Mary Jane.
Back in England, Gwen Stacy is still tailing after the SUVs that took Jessica as their prisoner, she's keeping her distance very far as not to be spotted, the tracer she gave to Jessica is still homing a signal for her to follow. They've arrived at the White Cliffs of Dover as Gwen is parking behind some trees and taking a peek to see that they've just stopped.
"Okay, what's next?" Gwen is curious.
Something is happening as the ground is creating an opening and a lift formed up as the vehicles all drove onto the lift, Gwen is still watching and found what appears to be a hidden HYDRA base here in England.
"Hiding their base in the middle of nowhere, very clever. Better let S.H.I.E.L.D. know." Gwen tells herself.
Gwen is making a call to S.H.I.E.L.D. as the lift is taking the vehicle down inside the base, Jessica is still held captive as she looks out the window and sees a base hidden in the White Cliffs of Dover. They've reached the bottom as everyone exits the vehicles, Arnim Zola was waiting as Crossbones has finally brought Jessica Drew to him.
"You've done well, Crossbones." Arnim Zola is pleased.
"You asked for Jessica Drew, I brought her to you." Crossbones takes pride in his accomplishment.
"So you did." Arnim Zola turns to Jessica. "Jessica Drew, welcome, I am Arnim Zola."
"I don't care who you are, where's my father?" Jessica demands her father.
"Oh don't worry, he's still alive. I'm sure he'll be very pleased to see you." Arnim Zola told Jessica.
"Take me to him." Jessica demands to see her father.
"As you wish." Arnim Zola leads the way.
Zola and Crossbones are walking with their agents with Jessica Drew as their prisoner. Unknown to anyone, Ghost-Spider has managed to sneak her way inside through the surface entrance undetected.
They've finally reached the cell and opened it, Jessica finds her father again still alive, Jonathan is stunned to find his daughter is here right in front of his eyes.
"Jessica!" Jonathan Drew is stunned.
"Dad!" Jessica is also stunned.
Jessica and Jonathan came up and hugged each other as they're glad to see each other again.
"Never thought I'd see you again." Jessica told her father.
"Same." Jonathan Drew felt the same as his daughter.
Crossbones is disturbed. "Alright, break it up before you make me feel all weepy."
"Now that you've both been reunited, now can we discuss our terms, Dr. Drew." Arnim Zola negotiate with Jonathan Drew.
"What terms?" Jessica wants to know what's going on.
"Your father has been reluctant in helping us, we know for a fact that his research is responsible for giving certain individuals the powers of the spider, individuals like you Ms. Drew. But now that we have you as leverage, I'm sure that your father will reconsider his decision. If not, then we can simply cut you up and study your physiology, learn what makes you tick. Unless your father has a change of heart. So what it's going to be?" Arnim Zola giving Jonathan Drew an ultimatum.
"How about third choice?!" Ghost-Spider's voice.
Zola and Crossbones came out of the cell to find Ghost-Spider here in the flesh, they're both shocked to learn how she found their hideout.
"Ghost-Spider?! What is she doing here?!" Crossbones is surprised.
"Should've known capturing Ms. Drew was too easy. She wanted to go with you so that Ghost-Spider would follow you, and you lead them straight here!" Arnim Zola deducted their plan.
"Got that right!" Jessica supercharged her hands.
Jessica used her venom blast on both Zola and Crossbones who got distracted by Ghost-Spider's unexpected intrusion, meanwhile Ghost-Spider webbed up two agents that were escorting Zola and Crossbones as they're all trapped and powerless, Ghost-Spider and Jessica took care of them.
"Hope I wasn't late?" Ghost-Spider told Jessica.
"On the contrary, your timing was perfect. Come on, let's get out of here!" Jessica took her dad.
The three run down the detention block as both Zola and Crossbones recovered and sees them escaping with their prize, Zola then activated the alarm. Ghost-Spider and Jessica kept on running as they've noticed the alarms has been tripped, the whole base is on lockdown.
"Great, now the whole base is on alert. Hope you got an escape plan?!" Jessica kept running.
"There's seems to be a hangar on the cliff, I'd figured that we steal one of their transport to escape." Ghost-Spider is also running.
The three made it to the hangar only to find more HYDRA troops blocking their escape and aiming their guns at them, there's too many for them to take as they turn around the other way, but there are more troops coming, they're trapped at all angles.
Ghost-Spider sighed. "So much for my escape plan."
Arnim Zola walked up with Crossbones who's wielding a chain gun and aiming at those three.
"Leaving so soon?" Arnim Zola tells them.
"Don't move or you all die!" Crossbones threatening them.
"I must admit, I am impressed that you've managed to find us and break into our lair. But now we got two spiders in our possession, we still need the daughter alive, the other one not so much. Perhaps after we've killed you Ghost-Spider, we'll do an autopsy on your corpse for study, and with Dr. Drew here, we'll unlock the secret on your powers. This is the end for you, Ghost-Spider." Arnim Zola told Ghost-Spider.
"You're right, it is the end, but not mines." Ghost-Spider isn't showing fear in her eyes.
There was a rumble coming from the outside as everyone is curious as to what's going on, suddenly the ceiling collapsed as S.H.I.E.L.D. agents came crashing and rappelling down.
"Shit, S.H.I.E.L.D.!" Crossbones aims his chain gun.
Ghost-Spider webbed up the chain gun and pulls it off his hand, she then execute a side kick and kicked the weapon back to Crossbones who got hit by his own weapon. Jessica took her father to safety as S.H.I.E.L.D. agents started to fire at HYDRA troops, HYDRA responded back with gunfire. Jessica took her father to safety.
"Stay here, I gotta go help Ghost-Spider." Jessica tells her father.
"Be careful, Jessica." Jonathan Drew tells his daughter.
Jessica smiled as she went back to join the fight, Arnim Zola noticed Jessica Drew heading to help Ghost-Spider, he picked up a down HYDRA agent's assault rifle and started firing at her, Jessica jumps up high and performs a barrel roll dodging all the bullets. Zola kept on missing her as she landed behind him and strike back with a venom punch. Zola got staggered as he still kept his footing and turns around facing Jessica Drew.
"That was for taking my father." Jessica is angry at Zola.
"I've worried too hard on this operation to let it all end, I will get what I want, even if I have to study your dead body when this is over!" Arnim Zola threatens Jessica.
"Just try!" Jessica is facing off against Zola.
Meanwhile Crossbones uses his gauntlets to fight off Ghost-Spider who is using bob and weave maneuvers to avoid Crossbones's punches, the supervillain is having a hard time landing a punch due to Ghost-Spider's quickness.
"Come on!" Crossbones growled in anger.
Crossbones kept on punching as Ghost-Spider bobs and weaves his strikes, he managed to strike back with a double punch as she fell back down. Crossbones walked up to her as he finally gains the upper hand.
"This is payback for your friend, Spider-Man." Crossbones's gauntlet pulls out a blade.
Crossbones thrust his blade down as Ghost-Spider rolls and flips back up, she webbed up his right gauntlet and pulls hard as it slips off Crossbones's arm. Crossbones has only gauntlet left as he pulls another blade and starts swinging, Ghost-Spider is still quick as she dodged it and managed to strike back with a spinning heel kick and knocked Crossbones off his feet.
At the same time, Zola is fighting off against Jessica Drew who is managing to avoid his strikes with her quickness, Jessica took the opportunity to strike back with her venom punch to the camera head on his body and knocked it off the neck.
"Ahh!!! I can't see!!!!" Arnim Zola lost his ability to see.
Crossbones turns back to see his boss is in trouble, S.H.I.E.L.D. is overwhelming HYDRA, he realizes that they're fighting a losing battle. He retracted the blade back into the gauntlet and tossed a flash bang as its blows up and blinded Ghost-Spider's sensed. He gets back up and runs towards Jessica Drew and used his remaining gauntlet to punch her hard off the ground. He went to check up on his boss who lost his camera head.
"Boss, are you alright?" Crossbones asking Zola.
"I can't see, Rumlow, get me out of here!!!" Arnim Zola ordered Crossbones.
"I got you!" Crossbones helps Zola up.
Crossbones takes Zola with him as they're both boarding one of their craft, Zola sat down as Crossbones takes the cockpit and pilots the craft. Ghost-Spider is recovering her senses as she sees a craft taking off from the hangar inside the cliff, she rushed to catch it but unfortunately she was too late as it left the hangar with Crossbones and Zola on board, they've escaped. Ghost-Spider couldn't do anything to stop their escape as she watched the craft fly far away from the cliff, Jessica ran up to her.
"Are you okay?" Jessica asking Ghost-Spider.
"Yeah, but they got away." Ghost-Spider told Jessica.
"Don't worry, at least they didn't get what they wanted thanks to you." Jessica told Ghost-Spider.
"Thanks, you're not so bad yourself. You definitely have the makings of a hero in you. Where's your dad?" Ghost-Spider says to Jessica.
Jessica snapped back as she forgotten about her father, she walked past the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who are rounding up the remaining HYDRA troops left. Jonathan Drew came out of hiding to see the battle is over and his daughter is alive.
"Dad!" Jessica felt relieved.
"Jessica!" Jonathan Drew is also relieved.
Jonathan and Jessica hugged each other as Ghost-Spider watched, she felt happy that she got to help save someone's father from danger.
(Later)
It's nighttime outside the White Cliffs of Dover as S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are taking HYDRA goons aboard the quinjet as their prisoner. Phil Coulson is with Ghost-Spider and the Drews.
"Thank you Ghost-Spider, it's very fortunate that you were here to help stop HYDRA from gaining total power for themselves." Coulson told Ghost-Spider.
"Thanks, I just wished I could've stopped Crossbones and Zola from escaping." Ghost-Spider told Coulson.
"Don't beat yourself up, we'll catch them one day, they can't run forever." Coulson told Ghost-Spider.
"What's going to happen to us now?" Jessica is wondering what's next.
"Unfortunately HYDRA knows about you and how valuable you both are. You'll have to go into hiding and create a new life for yourselves." Coulson told the Drews.
"What? Leave everything I've built behind? My career? My whole life?" Jonathan Drew is shocked.
"It's the only way to keep HYDRA from coming after you again, I'm sorry." Coulson told them it's their only option.
Jonathan Drew sighed. "I understand, I don't want my work to be used for evil."
"It hasn't, what your work has done is some good for the whole world. It's made Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider the heroes they are now, it's made me who I am now." Jessica told her father.
Jonathan Drew smiled. "So I've noticed."
"Dad, I'm sorry that I've never told you about my secret. I was afraid that you'd see me differently." Jessica told her father.
"To me, you'll always be my Jessica, powers or no powers. I'm so proud of you, I know that your mother would be too." Jonathan Drew accepts Jessica for who she is.
Jessica smiled in tears. "Thank you."
"I'm glad that you're both together again, my work is now done. I have somewhere to be, it's been great working with you, Jessica Drew." Ghost-Spider told Jessica.
"Likewise, I hope that our paths cross again someday." Jessica told Ghost-Spider.
"Me too, it's good to know there's another spider hero here In England. When I said that you have the makings of a hero, I meant it. You could do some real good with your powers." Ghost-Spider told Jessica.
"Thanks, never thought of being one. Do I need a cool costume?" Jessica asking Ghost-Spider.
"And a cool codename. Any thoughts?" Ghost-Spider told Jessica.
"Hmm? How about... Spider-Woman?" Jessica calls herself Spider-Woman.
"I always wanted to be called Spider-Woman, but Madame Web told me that someone else will assume that name. I'm guessing she meant you. Till next time, Spider-Woman." Ghost-Spider called her Spider-Woman.
"Till next time, Ghost-Spider." Spider-Woman told Ghost-Spider.
Ghost-Spider left the scene and hopped onto the scooter she hid behind some trees, she heads back home to London. Jessica Drew assumed the mantle of Spider-Woman as her life is about to change forever.
Back in London at the Stacy Residence, Arthur Stacy is in the living room speaking with a woman about Gwen's future, Gwen Stacy just returned home after successfully helping Jessica Drew save her father.
"Uncle Arthur, I'm home. So I'm out so late, was taking Jill's scooter for a drive." Gwen walks to the living room.
Gwen then gets a surprise from someone she never expected to see again, a woman got up from the chair and reveals to be May Parker.
"Oh my god, Mrs. Parker!" Gwen smiled in amazement.
"Hello Gwendolyne Stacy, it's been a long time." May smiled back at Gwen.
Gwen approached and hugs May as she's glad to see her again for the first time in months since she left New York with her uncle.
"I never thought I'd see you again! What brings you to England?" Gwen asking May about her visit.
"I called her here because we some things to discuss about you." Arthur told Gwen.
"Listen, uncle... I'm sorry about the way I reacted towards you, I know that you promised to take care of me for my father. I should've been more understanding towards you, I am truly sorry." Gwen apologizes to Arthur.
"Thank you, Gwen, I accept your apology. And I'm sorry too, I was wrong to take you away from New York and separating your from your friends. I didn't fully understand what it was like for you to leave your life behind. I just wanted what was best for you, and I still do." Arthur told Gwen.
"What do you mean by that?" Gwen is wondering.
"You have two choices, I'll still take care of you and provide you a good life here in England if that's what you want, but if you miss New York, then say the word and I'll sign over custody papers, turning your guardianship over to May Parker, you'll move in and live with her in New York until you reach 18." Arthur explained what he's willing to do for Gwen.
"Wait? Does this mean that..." Gwen knows what this could mean.
"It's means that you can come back home to New York." May told Gwen.
"If you feel like your place is in New York, then that's where you belong. Just say the word, Gwen." Arthur told Gwen.
Gwen smiled in tears. "Yes... yes, thank you!"
Gwen gave May a hug as Arthur is happy that Gwen gets to return home to New York where she belongs.
"Thank you so much, Mrs. Parker." Gwen hugs May.
"I'm happy to have you back, and please call me May. I know that Peter will be very happy to see you again after so long." May hugs Gwen.
"Well then, it's settled. Tomorrow I'll call my lawyer and sign the custody papers, after that you'll be moving back to New York with her." Arthur smiled at Gwen.
Gwen turns to her uncle. "Thank you, Uncle Arthur."
"Like I said, I wanted what's best for you, and your place is in New York with the people you love." Arthur smiled at Gwen.
Gwen then hugs her uncle for giving her a chance to return home to New York where all her friends are, including the love of her life Peter Parker, she'll be very happy to see him again after being separated for so long.
Back in New York, it's 9:30 PM at night as Peter and Mary Jane are walking back to their homes in Forest Hills after having so much fun at Coney Island, they've arrived outside the Watson house.
Peter laughed. "I have to say, I haven't had this much fun in a while. Thanks MJ for everything."
"It was a pleasure, I'm glad that you had fun." Mary Jane smiled at Peter.
"You were amazing... I'm lucky to gone out with a great girl like you." Peter said to Mary Jane with sincerity.
Mary Jane looked at Peter's eyes as she felt something more strongly than ever before. She leaned in closer and fully kisses Peter who was surprised by the kiss she just gave him, he didn't resist and he just kissed her back with passion. They kept on kissing until Mary Jane opens her eyes and broke it off after realizing what she done.
"Sorry... I promised to keep things platonic between us, I don't know what came over me." Mary Jane told Peter.
"It's okay, MJ... I'll... see you tomorrow." Peter felt awkward.
"Sure... see ya tomorrow." Mary Jane is also awkward.
"Okay then... Goodnight MJ." Peter smiled before walking towards his house.
"Goodnight Tiger." Mary Jane told Peter before heading inside.
Mary Jane closed the door behind her as she puts her fingers on her lips, she fully kissed Peter, last year Peter was the one who kissed her first when he was wearing the symbiote, this time Mary Jane was the one who made her move and kissed him with passion. Mary Jane smiled as he heart beats, what she felt for Peter before is still there, there is something between her and Peter that goes beyond simple friendship.
It's 10:45 PM at Brooklyn Visions Academy as Ganke just got out of the bathroom wearing his pajamas and he looks up to see Miles in his top bunk working on his sketchbook.
"So how was training today?" Ganke asking Miles.
"It was not bad, making some improvements on my own today, I've finally figured out how to turn invisible without going scared." Miles told Ganke.
"What're working on up there?" Ganke asking Miles about his sketchbook.
"Just drawing up a new design for my suit." Miles told Ganke.
"Okay then, I'll look at it tomorrow when you're down. Goodnight Miles." Ganke told Miles before getting on his bunk.
"Night Ganke." Miles told Ganke.
Ganke Lee is asleep in his bunk as Miles is staying up later drawing up a design on a new suit for himself, it resembles Spider-Man's suit but made some modifications to make it more himself than Peter.
