Volume III: Avenger-Mas
Note: This will be the twelfth chapter of Volume III, this will be a Christmas story involving Spider-Man and his friends teaming up with the Avengers as they're on a mission to rescue Santa Claus who has been kidnapped by the God of Mischief himself Loki who plans to destroy Christmas by taking away the very symbol of Christmas itself, Santa Claus. The elves turn to the Avengers for their help to save Christmas, Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider, and Kid Arachnid joins Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Wasp, Black Widow, Vision, and War Machine as they're all about to travel into Jotunheim to rescue Santa Claus and save Christmas in time. Peter and Gwen have resumed their romantic relationship hoping to enjoy the holidays as a couple as they're fighting to save Christmas and get back to celebrate with the rest of their family.
Happy New Years 2023
It's 1:45 PM at midnight way up in the North Pole at a hidden town cloaked by a force field hiding the town. The whole town is covered in a blizzard, Santa's little helpers, the elves are all working in the factory to build and wrap up many gifts to meet the demands of Christmas in time for the holidays, most of the presents are toys resembling superheroes like Spider-Man and the Avengers, some are also prepping the reindeers and sleigh for the long trip across the world, coming out of the workshop is the big man himself Santa Claus walking out accompanied by his two trusted elves informing him on the progress and see if everything is ready for his global trip to deliver the presents to all the good children across the world.
"How is everything proceeding?" Santa Claus asking his elves.
"Everything is on schedule, Santa, the reindeers are all in good healthy and ready, the sleigh is in tip top shape for flight, and every present will be ready on time for the big delivery, though these days it seem like kids are really into superheroes."
"Not surprising, they pretty much made a big difference in the world. With heroes around, thing are looking to be great for Christmas this year." Santa Claus is pleased everything is working out good.
"I'm afraid not." Loki's voices coming from the blizzard.
Santa and his elves all got startled from that voice nearby, they see someone walking through the blizzard, someone tall and green wielding a staff, he came out of the blizzard and they got a clear good look at the intruder, it's Loki, the God of Mischief who made his way into town, everyone got spooked as they're well aware of who this man is and what he's capable of.
"Oh dear." Santa Claus has a bad feeling about this.
"I take it you know who I am." Loki tells Santa Claus.
"You're Loki, God of Mischievous, enemy of the Avengers." Santa Claus is well aware of Loki.
"I see my reputation here in this realm precedes me well, I'm flattered." Loki smiled with pride.
"How could anyone forget? You tired to take over the whole planet and killed a lot of lives, you're on top of the naughty list." Santa Claus tells Loki.
"I'm already on top of someone's naughty list, I'm still on probation thanks to my father, my adopted father to be precise, I had to promise not to invade Midgard again, and I haven't, but he didn't anything about destabilizing this planet, starting with one time of the year all of Midgard celebrates, Christmas." Loki explained his sinister plan.
"Are you mad? If you do that, then the whole world will fall into chaos, everyone will stop believing in Christmas, it would cease to exist." Santa Claus is shocked to heard this madness.
"Exactly!" Loki smiled sinisterly.
All of a sudden, a squad of elves came out of the workshop and circles around the God of Mischievous, they have him surrounded all holding up candy cane batons ready to take on Loki and protect Santa Claus.
Loki smirked and chuckled. "You can't be serious?!"
"We are, we shall defend Santa Claus with our lives."
"Mm, very well." Loki aims his staff.
Loki fired off a mystical blast and took down each of the elves easily, some tried to fight back against the God of Mischief but it's proven futile as he's too powerful for them to handle by themselves, Loki's new staff is made from the fragment of the Casket of Ancient Winters. Santa is stunned to see all his elves are down for the count as Loki turns his attention to the man himself.
"Looks like your last line of defense is gone, now is time to take you far away from this realm." Loki tells Santa Claus.
All of a sudden, more elves came out of their homes and rushed to help Santa Claus who is now captured by Loki, the God of Mischief then uses his staff to beam himself and Santa Claus away from Midgard and heading back to his homeworld Jotenheim, the elves are all covering their faces as the white blue light is too much for their eyes, all of a sudden it disappeared as the elves walked up to the site of where Loki and Santa were standing, they're long gone from the Earth and they've failed to save Santa Claus, and with him gone, Christmas is doomed.
It's 9:30 AM in the morning back in New York in Queens at the Parker Residence, Peter and Miles just entered the house carrying the Fir Tree together they just bought, using their spider strengths it was very easy, meanwhile May, Gwen, and Mary Jane are all in the kitchen baking sugar and gingerbread cookies as they spotted the boys are back after their morning of tree hunting in Queens and they brought in one great looking tree to put in the living room for Christmas.
"Hey Aunt May, we're back! We've managed to buy up this nice looking fir for Christmas!" Peter telling everyone.
"Oh, it's beautiful, Peter, please put it in the corner near the fireplace." May tells Peter to move the tree to the corner before turning to Gwen. "Gwendolyne dear, care to help them with the decorations?"
"Sure." Gwen stopped doing her kitchen work.
Gwen walks out of the kitchen and heads down the basement to fetch a box of Christmas decorations, meanwhile Peter and Miles are setting up the tree at the corner near the fireplace. Gwen is coming back up from the basement carrying a box to see the tree is held up on the stand, Peter turns back to see his girlfriend Gwen Stacy looking and gave him a cute smile, Peter smiled back as Christmas is their special time of year since the last two Christmases brought them together and now they're a couple for a month, their relationship has gotten stronger than before.
"How'd you like the tree?" Peter asking Gwen for her opinion.
"It's perfect, Pete." Gwen tells Peter.
"Are those the decorations?" Peter asking Gwen.
"Yeah." Gwen pulls out an angel topper and holds it up. "Including this one me and my dad used to put up on top of our tree every year. Is it alright with you?"
"Yeah, you are part this family after all." Peter told Gwen he's okay with it.
"May I?" Gwen holding up the angel topper.
"Sure, go ahead." Peter gave Gwen permission.
Gwen walks up to the tree as she tries stretching her arm up to place the angel topper on top of the tree, but its too tall for her to reach.
"It's too high up, got a ladder or something?" Gwen reaching up her topper.
"Better." Peter got up behind Gwen.
Peter got both his hands on her waist and lifted Gwen up, she smiled as Peter is giving her a boost up as she's reaching up and finally placed the angel on top of the tree.
"There, you can put me down now, Pete." Gwen tells Peter holding her up.
Peter lowers Gwen down on her feet after she finished placing her angel topper on top of the tree, Peter still has his hands on her waists as Gwen placed her arms around his neck as they're so close to each other, Gwen looks back up at the angel on the tree.
"There, she's perfect." Gwen looking at the angel.
"Yes, she is." Peter looks at Gwen and smiles.
Gwen looks back at Peter as they leaned in and kissed each other, Mary Jane is still in the kitchen as she spotted Peter and Gwen kissing together, she isn't too surprised since she already knows that they're back together after witnessing them kissing each other again last month, and she can't do anything since Peter chose Gwen Stacy in the end. Miles coughed getting their attention, Gwen and Peter stopped kissing and turns to Miles looking a bit bothered seeing them in front of his eyes.
"Sorry, got carried away." Peter apologizes to Miles.
"Yeah, me too." Gwen also apologizes to Miles.
"Hey, don't be, I'm very happy for you two, but you don't have to do it in front of me." Miles is okay with their relationship.
"Of course, we'll keep that in mind." Gwen assured Miles.
"So you two have anything special planned for the holidays?" Miles asking the couple.
"Well, we're going to skate around Rockefeller later at 6, then head for Avengers Tower for the Christmas Eve Party held there, every Avenger will be there including me, and I'm allow to bring some guests. You coming to the party too, aren't you Miles?" Peter told Miles.
"Yeah, of course, it be an honor to celebrate the holidays with Earth's Mightiest Heroes." Miles is going to the party.
"How about you, MJ? You coming?" Peter asking Mary Jane from the living room.
"Nah, I'll pass, I'm going to be at F.E.A.S.T. with May celebrating the party there, thanks for asking, Tiger." Mary Jane turned down the invitation.
"Yeah, sure." Peter told Mary Jane.
Gwen could tell that Mary Jane is still affected by this romantic relationship between her and Peter, she can't help but feeling guilt for giving into her feelings for Peter and heartbreaking her best friend in the process.
"Hey, why don't you guys get started on decorating the tree? I'll help you both out soon." Gwen tells Peter and Miles.
"Yeah, sure thing, we got this." Peter tells Gwen.
Gwen walks away as Peter and Miles got started on decorating the tree, Gwen walks into the kitchen as May is pulling out a tray of gingerbread cookies fully baked and hot, Mary Jane has a spatula as she's carefully picks them up and placed them in the basket along with the other gingerbread cookies, Gwen picked up a spatula and helps Mary Jane with the cookies.
"Here, let me help." Gwen offers her help.
"Oh, thanks." Mary Jane is grateful to Gwen.
"Listen... I wanted to ask... are you okay with this? Me and Peter?" Gwen acting shy and asking Mary Jane for her opinion.
"Yeah, I mean, I always knew deep down that you two would end up together at some point, just like last year, it was inevitable. I'm happy for you both, you deserve happiness." Mary Jane told Gwen.
"So do you, Mary Jane, so do you." Gwen is being sincere.
"Maybe one day, I'll find someone to share my happiness with, though I don't know if I'll ever love someone in a way I love Peter, but I'll to learn to let go. Right now, I just want you both to be happy together, you're still my sister, Gwen Stacy, I love you." Mary Jane smiled at Gwen.
"I love you too." Gwen smiled back at Mary Jane.
Gwen and Mary Jane hugged one another as they still a sibling relationship like sisters, May smiled as she's happy things are looking great for Gwen and Mary Jane, last month both girls were feeling conflicted over their love for Peter, but all that got settled after Peter made his choice in who he wants to be with, and he chose Gwen, Mary Jane was a bit heartbroken but she got over it for her friends sakes. Gwen stopped hugging her best friend and made her way back to the living room where Peter and Miles are decorating the tree, she joined and helps with the decorations.
Meanwhile back up at the North Pole, every abled elf is cleaning up the town and tending to the wounded after that incident with Loki last night, but now they got bigger problems to deal with, Santa Claus has been abducted by the God of Mischievous and Christmas is about to start very soon and there's no Santa Claus to deliver the presents all across the globe, Christmas is on the verge of being in danger and soon will cease to exist as everyone will stop believing. A couple of elves are in the workshop devising a solution to save both Santa Claus and Christmas.
"This is very bad, Christmas is in twelve hours and we have no Santa Claus to deliver presents to all the children in the world, Christmas is in real danger!"
"I know, I know, but we don't have a way to find out where that green guy took the big guy, and even if we did, we can't take on this guy, he took us all down easily."
"So what do we do? We can't just do nothing and let Christmas cease to exist!"
"No, we won't, but we need help, and not just any help, we need guys who can take on this strong naughty man and save St. Nick in time."
"But where in the world are we going to find these guys?"
Both elves turns to the workshop table to find the first Avenger action figures set of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain Marvel, and Spider-Man all together, they then got an idea who to turn to.
"Get the reindeers and sleight ready, we're going on a trip to New York City, time to bring in the Avengers."
It's around 6:37 PM night time in New York City, at Rockefeller Center where the largest Christmas tree is shining beautifully, some people down below are skating around on the ice rink, Peter and Gwen are among them as they're skating and enjoying their Christmas date, Gwen is looking all lovely in her white jacket and knit cap as she and Peter are holding hands skating together as a couple. Peter was a bit nervous about this whole ice skating thing, but he getting a hang of this.
"I have to admit, I wasn't sure this ice skating thing was a good idea, I wanted to do something special for you, but this was actually a first time for me, but I think I'm getting the hang of this." Peter skating with Gwen.
"Must be one of the perks having spider equilibrium, helping you maintain your balance. It's quite cute and very brave of you doing this to impress me, Pete." Gwen skating with Peter.
"Anything for my girl." Peter skating with Gwen.
Gwen then pulls Peter's hands as they spin around the ice, Peter and Gwen are liking this dance they're doing on the ice, until Gwen trips off and feel unto Peter and they both fell down onto the ice, Gwen is laying on Peter as he's laying back on the ice, both Peter and Gwen smiles and giggles from this unfortunate accident, Peter and Gwen looked into each other's eyes and kissed on the ice, both got caught in their romantic moment.
Later after ice skating, Peter's is at one of the coffee shops close to the skating rink, the barista poured in hot chocolate into two cups, them added some mini marshmallows, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and crushed candy canes, the barista hands Peter two cups of peppermint hot chocolates. Peter walks out of the coffee shop and walking back to the skating rink as he spotted Gwen leaning her arms on the rail alone looking down, Peter came up next to her and hands her a cup of hot chocolate.
"Here you go, one peppermint hot chocolate for you." Peter holding up a cup.
"Thank you, Pete." Gwen takes the cup and sips hot chocolate down. "Mmm, taste like Christmas in a cup."
"Makes you feeling living in a chocolate house on Christmas, doesn't it?" Peter teased Gwen about the chocolate house.
"You had to bring that up, didn't you?" Gwen felt teased by Peter.
"Not that there's anything wrong with that." Peter makes Gwen feel better.
"Good, cause you're going to have to get used to living in a chocolate house as long as you're with me." Gwen teased Peter back.
Peter smiled and holds up his cup. "Merry Christmas, Gwen."
"Merry Christmas, Peter." Gwen smiles back and holds up her cup.
Peter and Gwen cheered together with their cups and both drank down their hot chocolates, afterwards they kissed each other as each of their lips got the taste of peppermint and chocolate. Unknown to either of them, Miles finally came by with a box of gingerbread cookies Peter's aunt made this morning, he spotted the couple in their romantic moment again, he coughed to get their attention, Peter and Gwen stopped kissing to see their friend Miles here.
"We did it again, didn't we?" Peter tells Miles.
"We didn't expect you to show up so soon." Gwen told Miles.
"Sorry I came earlier, I just left the party at F.E.A.S.T., you aunt gave me these to give to your super friends." Miles holding up the box of gingerbread cookies.
"Nice! I'm sure they'll love them." Gwen told her friends.
"Shall we?" Peter asking Gwen and Miles.
"Of course, let's go." Miles is very eager to go.
All three of them walk out of Rockefeller together and heading towards Avengers Tower for the party.
At the same time in a realm called Jotunheim, home world of the Frost Giants, at the citadel surrounded by more Frost Giants on guards, inside the throne room, Loki is sitting on his throne looking down upon Santa Claus trapped inside ice, except for his head that is the only part of him that isn't frozen, he cannot die since Santa Claus is immortal as long as people still believe in him, but the rest of him is unable to move and he cannot escape, he's trapped here as Loki's prisoner and Christmas is coming soon, it's is about to cease to exist without him in it.. He looks up at the God of Mischief and the whole place surrounded by Frost Giants and Beasts.
"Hope you find my home very accommodating. I know Jotunheim can be very snowy, but that shouldn't be a problem for someone who lived his entire live in a very snowy place." Loki talks to Santa Claus.
"Why? Why are you doing this?" Santa Claus wants to know Loki's motives for this.
"I'm glad you asked, allow me tell you my tale, true story, almost two years ago, my brother, or should I say my adoptive brother Thor was exiled by my adoptive father Odin, in that moment I had the chance to seize the throne of Asgard and be it's true king, everything was going perfect until Thor's path crossed with the man of spiders, or as you midgardians call him Spider-Man, together they were about find Mjolnir and Thor regained his worthiness along with his godhood, he came back to Asgard with the hero and together they defeated and dethroned me, my rule in Asgard came to a short end and I was imprisoned. Months later, I escaped and wanted to exact my revenge on the hero responsible for aiding my brother by attacking his home world of Midgard, and I came so close to bringing it to it's knees, but then he and his merry band of so called heroes, the Avengers, fought back against me and sent my armies back to here and I was locked up in Asgard, again! But now that I have you, I shall exact my vengeance on all of Midgard, by taking away the very thing they all worship, Christmas." Loki told Santa Claus of his tale and his revenge against the Earth.
"But you can't do this, if I don't get back to Earth and deliver the presents to all the children of the world, they'll stop believing in me and Christmas will be gone forever!" Santa Claus explained the consequences.
"Oh, that would be very sad, all those little boys and girls crying unable to receive their presents for Christmas. At least all of Midgard will suffer in the same way I've suffered, this shall be my perfect revenge, it shall be called 'How the God of Mischievous stole Christmas.'" Loki smiled as he knows full well what his actions could bring and he doesn't care.
"You're insane!" Santa Claus tells Loki.
"So they say!" Loki shakes his head in craziness and laughs.
Loki continues to laugh as Santa Claus is powerless to escape, Christmas is on the verge of ceasing to exist as everyone on Earth will stop believing in the holidays and Santa Claus himself will cease to exist along with Christmas. Loki's revenge on the Earth is near as Christmas will go on without Santa Claus.
It's 7:02 PM at Avengers Tower, Peter, Gwen, and Miles enter through the lobby blend among the crowd not to draw too much attention to themselves, they're making their way to the elevator to see a statue of the original Avengers all together consisting of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain Marvel, and Spider-Man. They all made it to the exclusive elevator made for Avengers and authorized personnel only, everyone enters inside, the elevator door closes behind them as Peter place his hand on the palm scanner and facial recognition scans Peter's face as he has the clearance.
"Scanning... identified, Peter Benjamin Parker, Spider-Man, level 10, access granted!"
The elevator is going on up towards the Avengers level floor and playing a Christmas theme.
"That's a pretty impressive statue you got in the lobby, you and the O.G. Avengers all together." Miles likes the statues.
"O.G.s?" Peter is confused by that acronym.
"You know, original gangstas." Miles describes the meaning of acronym.
"Okay?" Peter gets the picture, kind of.
"This building is very impressive." Miles told Peter.
Peter smiled. "Just wait until we get to the top floor."
The elevator stopped as it finally reached it's destination, the doors opens as Peter leads Gwen and Miles onto the Avengers floor to see how amazing this place is, all the Avengers are here celebrating the Christmas party, Miles and Gwen spotted Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Thor, Bruce Banner, Carol Danvers, T'Challa, Natasha Romanoff, Janet Van Dyne, Vision, and Jim Rhodes here along with Happy Hogan, Pepper Potts, Jane Foster, Sharon Carter, and Betty Ross here as their guests, Tony spotted Peter Parker here and broke off from the other to welcome him.
"Glad you could make it, kid." Tony welcomed Peter.
"Tony, good to see you out of rehab." Peter told Tony.
"Still in rehab, kid, they let me out early for the holidays, gotta head back once this is over. I see you brought your friends with you." Tony sees Peter with Gwen and Miles.
"My girlfriend actually, me and Gwen are back together as a couple, and this is our friend Miles Morales." Peter introduced Miles to Tony.
"Let me guess, Kid Arachnid, right?" Tony figured it out.
"Yeah, actually! Oh my god, you're Iron Man!" Miles is actually meeting Iron Man.
"The one and only!" Tony told Miles.
"Tony!" Pepper is waving and calling out to him.
"Gotta go, enjoy the party. Nice seeing you again, kid." Tony told the spiders before heading back to join Pepper.
"You heard him, let's enjoy the party." Peter tells Gwen and Miles.
Peter and Gwen walked together towards Janet and Natasha talking to each other as Miles is heading towards the table where Thor is snacking down on the food, Miles is carrying the box of gingerbread cookies May baked this morning. The party continues on as everyone is celebrating and chatting with one another, Peter and Gwen are chatting with Natasha and Janet about what happened while Gwen was away in London.
"Wow, never thought you'd end up an Avenger." Gwen tells Natasha.
"Neither did I, one minute I was just a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, then I'm fighting alongside Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and now I'm one of the Avengers. Never thought I'd be a hero, given my past as an assassin." Natasha told her story.
"But you are a hero to us, you saved me and Pete's lives back in Russia, neither of us would be here if you didn't step up and became heroic. You helped saved the world from Ultron, I'm sorry I couldn't be there that day, I was far away in London when it happened." Gwen told Natasha.
"We know, Peter told us, you lost someone." Janet told Gwen.
"My father, I heard about your loss too, Janet, I'm sorry about Hank." Gwen told Janet.
Janet has a sad look. "Thanks... excuse me."
Janet walks away from Peter, Gwen, and Natasha as this whole Hank thing is still getting to her, Tony is with Pepper, Happy, and Jim are chatting together.
"So you haven't had any sex for at least 49 days?" Pepper asking Tony.
"That's the whole point of my rehabilitation, to kick my old habits off." Tony told Pepper.
"Wow, that must be a bummer, sex is pretty much your main vice." Happy told Tony.
"Well, with some time and work, you get use to it." Tony told Happy.
"Sound like your rehabilitation is making progress." Pepper told Tony.
"Sure, maybe after I'm done, I might go out and start dating regularly, maybe screw around a bit." Tony told his friends.
"Oh, oh, I think he just relapsed." Jim teased Tony.
Tony and his friends laughed at that joke as he spotted Janet walking away from the party, he broke away from his friends and followed Janet as she walked past Thor and Miles at the table, Thor is eating the gingerbread cookies and chatting with Miles about his electrical power called the venom blast.
"So you can conjure up thunder with your hands?" Thor chewing the gingerbread cookie.
"Something like that, it's more like a bio-eletrokinesis, but I call it the venom blast." Miles explained about his electrical power.
Tony walked past Tony and Miles as he then passed by Carol and Vision chatting near the Christmas tree, Vision doesn't have much experience in Christmas as this is his first time celebrating the holidays.
"Why is it that everyone is so excited about Christmas? What makes this day so special?" Vision is curious.
"It the one time of the year where everyone can get together and celebrate by giving gifts and having a feast, it brings family and friends together." Carol explained about Christmas.
"I see." Vision understands a bit.
"You're one of us, Vision, the Avengers are your friends and your family. Just relax and celebrate the holidays." Carol told Vision.
Vision never though about having a family ever since the day he came into the world, the only thing he had to a father was Ultron who tried to destroy the world, but Vision also came into this world thanks to Shuri who created the body he owns now and to the Avengers who helped give him life and a new purpose, the Avengers are pretty much his only family he's got right now, being with them makes him a bit human.
Tony followed Janet downstairs into another room couple floors down, Tony enters the memorial room where any Avenger who has fallen in battle are honored and remembered, only one has fallen so far, Tony spotted Janet standing before a holographic version of her husband Hank Pym, the Ant-Man and also Yellowjacket, Tony walks up and stands next to Janet looking at Hank's image.
"What are you doing here, Tony?" Janet asking Tony.
"I was going to ask you the same thing, but I think it's pretty obvious." Tony looks at the holo image of Hank Pym and sighed. "I miss him too."
"Is this your attempt to apologize for your role in creating Ultron? Just don't?" Janet told Tony not to try.
"Janet, I still blame myself for my role in creating Ultron, I'm not trying to forget cause I can't. I'm already owning up to my mistake, so that this never happens again." Tony tells Janet.
"You know what I would've liked for Christmas? To have my husband back in my life." Janet tells Tony before walking away.
Tony watched as Janet leaves the room, he still feels the guilt for his role in creating Ultron, his own mistake took Hank Pym away from his wife, he's already forgiven himself for his mistake, but he wanted to have Janet's forgiveness too for closure. Tony then walks away from the room and heads upstair back to the party, he spotted Peter chatting with Steve, T'Challa, and Bruce, he joins in on their conversation as they've noticed Tony and Janet coming from the memorial room.
"How did it go with Janet, Tony?" Steve asking Tony.
"Not so good, every time she sees me, all she can think about is the loss of her husband." Tony told the group.
"Just give her some time to heal, Tony, eventually she'll come to forgive you." Peter tells Tony to be patient.
"I hope so kid... By the way, I've noticed you and Gwen being too comfortable with each other, I take it that you're back together as a couple." Tony suspects Peter and Gwen are together again.
Peter looks to see Gwen chatting up with Carol, Jane, Pepper, Sharon, and Betty Ross, Gwen is chatting until she spotted Peter looking at her, she gave him a warm smile as Peter felt lucky to have Gwen as his girlfriend.
"Having Gwen back in my life as my girlfriend, feels like the best Christmas gift I could ever ask for." Peter smiled at the thought of Gwen.
"Wow, that's sound romantic." Bruce tells Peter.
"Agreed, Bast must be smiling upon you with good luck." T'Challa tells Peter.
"You both deserve each other, son." Steve tells Peter.
"Thanks, guys." Peter tells the group.
Peter felt happy to have Gwen Stacy as the love of his life, their conversation got cut as the tower's proximity alarms went off and got everyone's attention, all the heroes are on alert as something is coming here to the tower.
"F.R.I.D.A.Y., what's coming?" Tony asking his A.I.
"Unknown Mr. Stark, whatever it is, there are multiple life forms airborne approaching the tower!" F.R.I.D.A.Y. informs Tony something is coming.
"Alright Avengers, get ready!" Tony tells the Avengers.
Peter, Gwen, and Miles all have their web shooters ready, Natasha has her pistol tucked in her back, Steve picked up his shield nearby, Carol charged up her photon hands, and Thor extends his hand and summons Mjolnir to it, almost all the Avengers are battle ready and awaiting to face the intruders as something long has landed outside on the snowy helipad, it's dark outside and snowing as they have no idea who or what came, but they see two silhouette walking towards the helipad door, everyone is still waiting to strike until the silhouette disappears as they entered the light and showed themselves to be two elves with their hands raised up as the Avengers all looked like they're ready to attack.
"Don't hurt us, we come in peace!"
"What the?" Carol looked confused.
"Odin's beard, so it is true?" Thor is stunned to see the elves.
"What is true?" Peter asking Thor.
"I heard tales back in Asgard that there are elves here in Midgard, possibly related to the Light Elves of Alfheim, but they do exist." Thor explained about the elves.
"Okay, I'd believe anything, but that begs the question. Why are you here?" Peter asking the elves.
"We came all this way because we need your help, Christmas is in serious danger and Santa Claus has be kidnapped!"
Everyone in the room is shocked to hear that Santa Claus is real and he has been abducted, and with his abduction, Christmas is in real danger of become extinct.
"No way, Santa Claus is for real!" Miles is still shocked to hear this news.
"He won't be for much longer, that is why we're here, we need the Avengers."
"But why us?" Tony asking the elves.
"Cause we don't have the power to save him from the one who took. This is the perpetrator who took the big guy, look familiar?"
One of the elves holds up a Christmas ornament version of Loki, all the original Avengers are shocked to find out that this was Loki, the God of Mischievous, the first enemy of the Avengers.
"Odin's beard, that's Loki." Thor is very shocked.
Peter sighs. "Him again."
"Loki? As in that same Loki who invaded the Earth almost two years ago?" Miles asking the Avengers.
Peter sighs. "The very same."
"I though he was locked up in Asgard?" Tony asking Thor.
"He was, but due to the issue of an overcrowded prison." Thor told his teammates.
"Asgard has an overcrowded prison?" Tony is surprised.
"Yes, Stark, anyway, All-Father Odin has agreed to free him in exchange he vows never to invade the Earth again." Thor explained about Loki's sudden freedom.
"That didn't exactly workout so well, obviously." Tony told Thor.
"Still doesn't explain why he took Santa Claus." Steve is curious as to Loki's motives.
"From what we've learned, he plans to destroy Christmas by taking away the very symbol of the holiday, the big guy himself."
"Loki still hates us along with this world, cause of us, he's been disgraced many times here and back in Asgard, he still wants revenge and he's getting it by destroying Christmas." Peter figured out Loki's motive.
"Wow, this guy has really turned into the Grinch." Tony told everyone.
"Look, this is all amusing and all, but we're really running out of time, Christmas is about to start very soon and there is no Santa to maintain the natural order, if he doesn't deliver the gifts to all the good children of the world, then Christmas will cease to exist, and if that happens so will he. You must save Santa Claus at all cost."
"Okay, we're in, any ideas where Loki could've taken him?" Steve asking the elves.
"We don't know, all we know is that he took Santa into the big beam of blue light and they disappeared."
"If I know my brother, he's in Jotunheim." Thor knows where Loki is.
"Jotunheim?" Gwen is unfamiliar by that name.
"Apparently it's the home world of the Frost Giants, it's where Loki's army came from when they invaded the Earth, but thanks to the original Avengers including myself, we were able to send them back to where they came from." Peter explained about Jotenheim.
"So basically we're about to invade the world full of abominable snowmen in order to rescue St. Nick from Jack Frost? Okay, I'm game!" Tony told his teammates.
"What about Natasha? These Frost Giants will be too tough for her to take on!" Steve is concerned for Natasha's safety.
"I appreciate your concern, Captain, but I can take care of myself." Natasha isn't backing down.
Steve sighed. "Fine, but you'll need something that'll give you an edge against the behemoths."
"Not to worry, Cap, I got something she can use, I planned to give this to the kid as a present, but..." Tony has a solution.
"I'll take it." Natasha will try it out for battle.
"Very well. Avengers, suit up!" Steve ordered his teammates to gear up for the mission.
"In the meantime, we'll need someone to fill in for the big guy to keep Christmas going until the big red guy is back."
"You want to find a replacement for Santa?" Peter tells the elves.
"We need someone who's big enough to fit into the suit and act as an interim Santa."
"So where are you going to find someone like that?" Thor asking the elves.
All of a sudden, everyone here looking straight at Thor as they got a crazy idea, Thor has no idea what's on their minds.
"What? Why are you looking at me?" Thor looks very confused until he got the idea. "Oh, no! No, no, no, NO!"
(Later)
All the Avengers are all suited up in their suits getting ready for their trip into Jotunheim for their rescue mission, meanwhile Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider are on the phone talking to May and Mary Jane explaining their situation and that they'll won't be home sleeping in for Christmas as they'll be too busy saving it from total extinction.
"Whoa, Santa Claus is for real." Mary Jane sounded stunned and surprised.
"He won't be for much longer if we don't save him in time along with Christmas too." Spider-Man told Mary Jane.
"We understand, this is very important, do what you both do best, be heroes. Just make sure you come home together, both of you." May told Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider.
"We will, hopefully we'll be back home in time to open the gifts." Ghost-Spider tells May and Mary Jane.
"Good luck to you both." Mary Jane wished them luck before hanging up.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider are done talking to Mary Jane and May, Kid Arachnid on the other hand is still speaking with his parents.
"I'm sorry I won't be home tonight, I'm going to crash at the school with my best bud Ganke, I'll see you all tomorrow morning, I promise." Kid Arachnid made up an excuse to his parents.
"Well, okay Hijo, we'll see you tomorrow, Merry Christmas." Rio tells her son.
"Merry Christmas, mama." Kid Arachnid told his mother before hanging up and turning to his friends.
"How'd it go?" Spider-man asking Kid Arachnid.
"They seemed okay with it, too bad I can't tell them that I've bailed on them to save Christmas with the Avengers." Kid Arachnid told Spider-Man.
"Yeah, about that, you're not coming to Jotunheim with us." Spider-Man told Kid Arachnid.
"What?!" Kid Arachnid is shocked.
"Don't get worked up, I got a special assignment for you, probably the most important one of all." Spider-Man has something in store for Kid Arachnid.
"And what could be so important than the rescue mission?" Kid Arachnid is curious.
Jane Foster is knocking on the door to Thor's quarters. "Thor, come on out!"
"NO, I AM NEVER COMING OUT DRESSED LIKE THIS!" Thor still inside his quarters.
"Thor... please come out... for me!" Jane pleaded to Thor in her own way.
Thor sighed from the inside as he can't resist Jane. "I'm coming out!"
The door opens as Thor is stepping out wearing a Santa Claus suit with a white santa beard around his face, all his Avengers teammates, including Black Widow who donned on the Iron Spider Armor she'll need for battle, everyone smiled and some smirked at the sight of Thor as Santa Claus, he isn't very amused by his new appearance.
"That's a good look for you, Point Break." Iron Man smiles and holds up his smartphone. "Smile!"
Thor isn't smiling as Iron Man took the picture. "I hate you, Stark."
One of the elves coughed and gave Thor the look.
"Oh right... Ho, ho, ho, I hate you, Stark." Thor acting like Santa Claus.
"Eh, we still need to work on that."
"Not to worry, Kid Arachnid here will be riding shotgun with him." Spider-Man tells the elves.
"So this my special assignment? Be Santa's Little Helper?" Kid Arachnid tells Spider-Man.
"Look, I know you're very eager to fight alongside Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but this is very important too, Christmas needs to survive until the real Santa Claus is back, you and Thor are Christmas's only hope, we're counting on your both to keep the holidays going, please." Spider-Man asking Kid Arachnid to keep Christmas alive.
Kid Arachnid sighed and nodded his head. "Okay, you can count on us."
"Thank you, we'll do everything in our power to bring back Santa Claus in time to save all of Christmas, I promise." Spider-Man tells Kid Arachnid.
"Alright Avengers, let's go save Christmas." Captain America tells his teammates.
All the Avengers are walking out onto the helipad as only Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Wasp, Black Widow, Vision, and War Machine are heading into Jotunheim on a rescue to save Santa Claus in time to save Christmas as only Thor and Kid Arachnid are left behind on Earth to keep the holidays going in Santa's absence. The rescue team are in the middle of the helipad as the reindeers and sleigh have been moved away to give the team open space for the Bifrost ready to transport them into the realm of the Frost Giants.
"Okay, so how does this whole Bifrost thing works?" Iron Man asking Thor.
"Just watch." Thor holds up Mjolnir in the air and reaches out to the Gatekeeper Heimdall. "Heimdall! Send down the Bifrost towards Jotunheim for my friends!"
Thor steps away from the rescue team and joins up next to Kid Arachnid, the team themselves all looked up in the air to see a bright beam of rainbow light descending down through the snowy clouds and consumed the team inside, Kid Arachnid is having a hard time seeing anything by the bright light, the Bifrost suddenly disappears right before their eyes as the Avengers are already gone and on their way to Jotunheim.
"Wow!" Kid Arachnid is amazed witnessing the Bifrost.
"Yes, Boy of Spiders, wow." Thor told Kid Arachnid.
After the Bifrost had transported the Avengers away, the reindeers and sleigh came landing on the pad as Thor and Kid Arachnid have important work of their own to do, keeping the holiday alive by delivering presents to the good children of the world as Santa Claus. The elves got off the sleigh and it's all ready for Thor to take.
"What's with this?" Thor is confused.
"This is the sleigh you'll need to travel across the world."
"I was hoping to fly around with my trusty hammer Mjolnir." Thor holding up Mjolnir.
"That is unacceptable, a Santa needs reindeers and a sleigh to fly."
"Come on, Thor, this is only temporary." Kid Arachnid encourages Thor.
Thor sighed. "I've rode an Asgardian skiff pulled by goats before, how hard can this be?"
Thor climbs on board the sleigh with Kid Arachnid riding shotgun with him, Thor sits down and takes the reins. "Let's go, Hiya!"
The reindeers didn't move a muscle as they're still planted their feet on the helipad, none of them have gone anywhere yet.
"I said hiya!" Thor tells the reindeers to move but they still refuse to go, Thor sighs. "It would've been better with horses with wings."
Kid Arachnid cough and steps in. "Let me try something... On Dasher! On Dancer! On Prancer and Vixen! On Comet!..."
All the reindeers heard their names as they all started moving and pulling the sleigh, Thor is holding on tight as they're flying off the helipad and flying around New York City on a snowy night, Thor and Kid Arachnid are on their mission to preserve the spirit of Christmas, they can only hope their teammates are successful in their rescue mission to save Santa Claus in time and save Christmas.
At the same time the Bifrost is raining down towards Jotunheim, the home world of the Frost Giants, it finally touched down onto it's snowy grounds far away from the citadel, the Bifrost vanishes as the Avengers finally arrived here in Jotunheim, they look around to find nothing but endless snow and ice everywhere, except for the citadel where Loki is based out of, some Avengers were able to survive the experience of traveling through the Bifrost, except for Iron Man and War Machine as they opened up their visors, they coughed and threw up on the ground, others like Black Widow and Wasp are experiencing loss of balance, side effects for any normal being traveling through the Bifrost.
Iron Man coughed after throwing up. "Let's not do that again."
"I'm guessing Thor forgot to mention about the effects of traveling through the Bifrost could be too much for a normal human being to handle." Spider-Man explained to Iron Man.
"Great, now I know." Iron Man isn't amused.
Bruce Banner is shivering in the cold. "It's freezing out here."
"It is the home world of the Frost Giants after all, why wouldn't it be cold?" War Machine tells Bruce.
"Look over there!" Captain Marvel points out towards the citadel. "There some kind of structure up ahead!"
"Then that's where Loki is, we find him, we'll find Santa Claus." Captain America told the Avengers.
"Right, better Hulk out, Bruce." Spider-Man tells Bruce.
Bruce takes off his jacket and shirt. "Okay, stand back."
Everyone near him backed away to give him some space, Bruce tapped into his anger and began to transform himself big and green, Ghost-Spider witnessed Bruce Banner has finally transformed himself into the Incredible Hulk.
"Hey Big Guy, ready to kick some Frost Giants butts?" Spider-Man telling the Hulk.
Hulk bumps his fists together and smiles. "Hulk always ready to smash!"
"Alright, Avengers, let's head to the citadel, under the radar, we'll take them by surprise." Captain America tells the Avengers.
"Let's hope Kris Kringle is still in one piece when we find him, speaking of which, how do you think Santa Thor is doing?" Iron Man asking his teammates.
"I think he's doing alright, I hope, he's got Kid Arachnid with him as backup." Spider-Man tells Iron Man.
The Avengers continue on foot towards the citadel as no one is aware of their presence here in Jotunheim, if everything goes wells, then they'll take Loki in by surprise and save Santa Claus in the process.
Back on Earth, the reindeers and sleigh are flying around with Thor and Kid Arachnid above New Rochelle suburbs looking at all the houses as they're coming in for a landing on one of the houses, they landed on the snowy rooftop safe and sound, no one knows they're here, Thor is unsure what to do as Santa Claus as this is first stop and he's totally clueless in his duties, but luckily Kid Arachnid might have some ideas what to do.
"Okay, this is our stop, now what do I do?" Thor is very clueless.
"Now you take the sack and go down the chimney." Kid Arachnid tells Thor the next step.
"Do what? Does it look like I can fit through the chimney? Look at me!" Thor shows how too big he is.
"The elves said that the suit you're wearing is magic, it'll help transport you through the chimney into the house. Just pretend this is like Santa Clause." Kid Arachnid made a movie reference.
"Aren't I Santa Claus?" Thor is more confused.
"Oh no, not that Santa Claus, the other one, it's a... never mind. Just place your foot over the chimney and the magic will do the rest." Kid Arachnid made an educated guess.
Thor sighs. "Okay."
Thor got off the sleigh and pick up the sack from the back, he approaches the chimney very carefully as not to lose his footing on the snowy rooftop, he finally made it to the chimney and gently placed his foot right over it and waits for something to happen.
"Nothing is happening, this is not working, Boy of Spiders." Thor still has his foot over the chimney.
"Dang, I thought for sure that was going to work." Kid Arachnid sounded disappointed.
All of a sudden, the magic from the suit did it's work and Thor is being sucked in through the chimney screaming, inside the house Thor finally made it inside as smog formed up around the fireplace, Thor is coughing out until he looked around to see that inside someone's house and it's all quiet so far, no one knows he's here, Thor tapped the earpiece, radioing in Kid Arachnid who's outside still on the sleigh.
"I'm inside, now what?" Thor asking Kid Arachnid what's the next step.
"Okay, just find a Christmas Tree, then pull some presents from the sack and place them underneath the tree." Kid Arachnid instructs Thor what to do.
Thor then followed Kid Arachnid's instructions, he holds up the sack and reached inside to find out that this sack is surprisingly full of many presents, at least billions that is possible, he pulled out a few presents and placed them underneath the Christmas Tree for the owners of this house to find in the morning, he got up and was about to head on back to the outside until he spotted glass of milk and plate of chocolate chip cookies, a note is written by a kid saying "For Santa Claus."
"Mmm, cookies." Thor smiled at the thought.
Thor walked up and grab a few cookies from the plate, he eats them all down and picked up the glass of milk, he drinks it all down his throat, he finished off all the cookies and milk, he felt happy that one of the perks of being Santa is the free snacks left for him. He then walks towards the chimney and head on back up to the rooftop, Kid Arachnid spotted Thor coming out of the chimney, he heads back to the sleigh after delivering presents to this house.
"I did it, I've delivered the presents." Thor gave a thumb up in success.
"Good, one stop down, more to go." Kid Arachnid told Thor it's not over yet.
Thor hopes back onto the sleigh as their night isn't over, he still got more presents to deliver to more good children of the world.
Back in Jotunheim, outside the citadel, only a couple of Frost Giants are guarding the place as all of a sudden without warning something big came in jumping in the air and dropped down, Hulk came smashing down onto one of the Giants, the other one got spooked as unknown to him, coming out of the ground, Vision is phasing through and fired off his solar beam, he took down the other easily as it's weak against high level of heat, meanwhile the other Avengers came out of hiding after Hulk and Vision took care of the guards outside.
"That takes care of security, I'd thought there be more of them. F.R.I.D.A.Y., scan for life forms insides!" Iron Man asking his A.I.
"Scanning... only one life form." F.R.I.D.A.Y. informs Iron Man.
"That can't be, only one?" Iron Man is confused.
"The Frost Giants are cold blooded creatures, they don't show the same heat signatures like any other life form." Spider-Man suspected the reason.
"That makes sense." Captain Marvel agrees with that logic.
"So we'll find Santa Claus inside along with Loki himself, anything we need to know about the Frost King?" Ghost-Spider asking about Loki.
"Yeah, expect the unexpected, with Loki, anything can happen, he can be... unpredictable." Spider-Man gave a fair warning about Loki.
"Let head on inside and stay on guard. Vision, scout up ahead first, we're right behind you." Captain America tells Vision to go on ahead.
Vision proceeds ahead of the Avengers and phased deep into the citadel undetected. Deep inside the citadel, only two Giants are guarding the throne room and Santa Claus is all chained up unable to escape, Vision came phasing out of the ground and his phased his arms through the first one and ripped him apart in icy pieces, the other one got startled as Vision fired his solar gem and took down the other easily, he looks around to see that inner security has been taken care of, he radios in his teammates.
"The room is secure, it's safe to come in." Vision informs the Avengers.
The Avengers came into the throne room as they spotted the big red guy himself all chained up and powerless, they carefully approaches Santa Claus to cut him free from his shackles, but his is too easy, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider have their spider senses tingling together as something is not quite right here. Captain Marvel used her photon hands to break the shackles off Santa Claus, Captain America approached him on behalf of the Avengers.
"Are you alright?" Captain America asking Santa Claus.
"Never better." Santa Claus speaking in Loki's voice.
"Cap, it's a trap!" Spider-Man warned Captain America.
The Frost Giants came out of hiding as more came to the throne room along with Frost Beasts, Santa Claus has revealed to be Loki using his illusions to disguise him, the Avengers are all surrounded as a couple of giants are pulling in Santa Claus all strapped to a chair by chains, Loki steps back and joins his subordinates, he's got most of his enemies here on his home turf.
"Of course it's a trap, Midgardians. What? Did you really expect to catch me off guard? Fortune must be smiling upon me, not only do I get to steal away Christmas, but to have the Avengers here on my world is a bonus." Loki feeling quite lucky.
"Somethings never change with you, still holding a grudge on the Earth." Spider-Man tells Loki.
"Your doing, Spider-Man, ever since you came into my life, everything has gone to hell for me. Do you think I could just let it go and let you all enjoy your lives while mines is a mess?" Loki still holds a grudge on Spider-Man.
"You can carry your grudge on us all you want, we just came here for him. Hand him over to us and we'll be on our way." Spider-Man asking for Santa Claus.
"What the big hurry? Since you all came this way, please enjoy all the hospitality my world has to offer you. Giants, make them feel at home!" Loki orders his subordinates.
All the Frost Giants and Beasts have the Avengers surrounded and they're unable to escape, the only way out is through them, the Avengers are bracing themselves for battle against these behemoths.
"There's too many of them!" War Machine tells his teammates.
"Not to worry, Rhodey, we've beaten these snowmen before, we'll beat them again now that there are more of us." Iron Man remains confident.
"Agreed, Avengers, take them down!" Captain America orders the Avengers.
All the Avengers each charged in every direction for battle, the Frost Giants all charged in as well, Captain Marvel came charging in glowing at full speed and takedown any Giants in her path, one of the giant came in swing an ice club at Vision who made himself intangible, the club phased through the android unharmed, Vision then strike back with a strong punch breaking it in pieces. Black Widow used the Iron Spider Armor by activating it's mechanical legs and jumps up in the air, she uses the legs as razor piercing weapons capable of penetrating their icy skin and killing them easily. Black Panther used his razor claws to slice through any Giants in his path, all of a sudden he got hit pretty hard by one of them, his suit absorbed the kinetic energy ready to blast back, one of the giants is approaching Black Panther down until his head got sliced off by the shield as it returns back to Captain America who rushed to Black Panther and extends his hand to help
"You alright, your highness?" Captain America offered to help Black Panther back on his feet.
Black Panther took Captain America's hand and got pulled onto his feet. "Yes, thank you, Captain."
Their conversation got cut short as a group of giants are heading their way, Black Panther's vibranium suit is fully charged and ready to distribute back upon them, he looks to Captain America's shield and got an idea.
"I could use a boost, Captain." Black Panther asking Captain America for his help.
"I can provide you with that." Captain America knows what Black Panther has planned.
The group of giants are charging in for an attack, Captain America came in charging in first with Black Panther following behind, Captain America managed to get close enough and stops as he holds the shield up above his head, Black Panther came in running as he jumped up above and land his feet on the shield, Captain America then used his strength to give Black Panther a boost up in the air as he's above the Frost Giants about to slam his fist down, he dropped down and unleashed his kinetic blast upon all the Giants, blasting them all to pieces. Meanwhile Hulk is smashing down any Giants in his path easily with his godlike strength, all of a sudden a Frost Beast came in charging with his mouth wide open to chomp down on Hulk as the green hero uses his strength to keep the beast from biting down.
"AH, Hulk ain't meant to be eaten, ugly!" Hulk roared out loud.
Hulk picked up the beast with all his strength and slams it down upon some Frost Giants, afterwards he lets go and he slams both his fists down upon the creature, taking it out of play for good. Meanwhile Iron Man used his wrist lasers to slice down a group of Giants in half, War Machine unleashes high caliber bullets and shredding the Giants into pieces, one of the Giant came in swinging at the Wasp who shrinks herself down and flies around zapping around any giants with her bio electro stings, Iron Man stopped his attacks as he sees Wasp taking on the Frost Giants all by herself in her miniature state, he got himself distracted as a Giant took the opportunity to strike back at Iron Man hard, War Machine sees his friend is down.
"TONY!" War Machine yells out.
War Machine got himself distracted too as he too was strike pretty hard and falls down next to Iron Man, Wasp flies up above to see that both Iron Man and War Machine are down, she got very worried for them as they're in immediate danger, she has to do something before it's too late. Iron Man shakes off his pain and spotted his friend is down next to him, one of the Frost Giants came in about to swing down his ice club, Iron Man awaits as his life is about to be taken right before his eyes, but then something unexpected happened, the Giant with the club was grabbed by an even giant hand, Iron Man and War Machine looked up to see the Wasp has now become a Giant-Woman, she too is able to enlarge herself to giant size just like Ant-Man.
"Whoa! Janet, you're a Giant-Woman now!" Iron Man is amazed by her new size.
"You boys alright?" Wasp asking her teammates.
"We are now, thanks!" Iron Man gave a thumb up for Wasp.
Wasp had already lost someone, she couldn't bear to lose anyone else, even Tony Stark, she saved both their lives. Meanwhile Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider managed to slip through the Frost Giants fighting their teammates as they're main mission is to save Santa Claus from Loki himself, the God of Mischief is all that is standing in their way as the two spider heroes knows that the only way to save Santa is to defeat Loki here and now.
"Spider-Man, and the girlfriend I take it." Loki smile at the heroes.
"Give it up, Loki, there's no way you'll win!" Spider-Man gave Loki the chance to stand down.
"You want Santa? Come and take him, if you dare!" Loki is daring the heroes to make their move.
"As you wish!" Ghost-Spider runs and charges in at Loki.
"Ghost-Spider, don't! It's a trick!" Spider-Man warns Ghost-Spider rushing at Loki.
Ghost-Spider charged in and tackles Loki only to phase through him and fell off the ledge, Ghost-Spider quickly fired her web shooter and made a line, she's holding on as she looks to down to see how far is the fall, she's fortunate to managed to cling a webbing to the ledge on time, she realized that she phased through an illusion of Loki.
"Expect the unexpected, good advice Spider-Man." Ghost-Spider tells herself.
Ghost-Spider looks up to see that she's got some climbing to do, back on top Loki and Spider-Man are alone about to face each other again in battle, Loki was the most strongest the last time they fought and he was barely luck to survive against the God of Mischief, but that won't stop Spider-man from fighting.
"Now it's just you and me, Spider-Man." Loki holding up his staff.
"You maybe a god, but that won't make me back down." Spider-Man is fearless.
"Brave, but foolish. Last time we fought, you were barely luck to beat me. Do you honestly believe this will be any different?" Loki tells Spider-Man.
"Let's find out!" Spider-Man dares Loki.
Loki aims his staff and unleashed an energy blast, Spider-Man jumps up in the air and started swinging around as Loki continuously unleashes his magic attacks, Spider-Man also counters by firing some webbing at the God of Mischief, he then uses ice magic to freeze up the webbing before they could ever reach him, Loki looks up as Spider-Man is swinging around, he fired his magical blast at the ceiling as debris is failing down upon the hero and he got hit by some of them, Loki managed to trap him as his immobilize. Meanwhile Ghost-Spider finally reached the top and finds Loki walking towards Spider-Man trapped underneath the debris, Spider-Man is in immediate danger and she has to do something quickly, she looks to see an icy boulder nearby.
"You gave it your best shot and you failed, there's no shame in it. But I'm afraid the end is near for the Avengers, starting with you, Spider-Man." Loki aims his staff at Spider-Man.
Spider-Man is still trapped as his life is about to be taken by Loki, all of a sudden an icy boulder was tossed hard and staggered the God of Mischief off as Spider-Man looks to see Ghost-Spider is still alive and she just save his life. Loki turns around to see the other spider is the one who tossed that boulder at him. Spider-Man manage to get one arm loose from the rumble as Loki plans to attack Ghost-Spider with his magical staff, but Spidey webbed up the staff and holds it as Loki turns to see Spider-Man with his web line attached to his staff, Ghost-Spider then took the opportunity to fire off some webbing as Loki turns back and got webbed up in the face, Spider-Man uses all his strength to break himself free from the rumble, he and Ghost-Spider looked at each other and nodded heads as they agreed to work together. Loki removes the webbing from his face as Ghost-Spider came in run and executed a superman punch, Loki staggered back only to be strike hard with an uppercut to the face, both spiders continues their strikes as they're besting the God of Mischief with their teamwork. Loki then took the opportunity to push kick Spider-Man hard, he then grabbed Ghost-Spider by the neck, Spider-Man gets back up to see Ghost-Spider is in danger, he rushed to save her as Loki tossed her towards Spider-Man, both heroes collided with each other and fell down on the ground, Ghost-Spider is on top of Spider-Man as he looks at her.
"You okay?" Spider-Man asking Ghost-Spider.
"I am, you?" Ghost-Spider asking back.
"Yeah." Spider-Man answered Ghost-Spider.
"How romantic, you both can die together." Loki smiles sinisterly as he aims his staff at them.
Spider-Man took Ghost-Spider in his arms and jumps away as Loki unleashed his magic attack, they manage to dodge them, but they turn to see their teammates being overwhelmed by the Frost Giants as there's way too many of them for them, both Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider can't fight off Loki and help their friends at the same time, Santa Claus is still held prisoner and Christmas will soon end without him there, they need some reinforcements.
"This isn't working, we need the thunder and a bit of lightning too." Spider-Man is suggesting Thor and Kid Arachnid.
"Great, any ideas how to reach them?" Ghost-Spider is wondering.
"I might have one... Heimdall! Gatekeeper of the Bifrost! If you can hear me, we need Thor right now!" Spider-Man trying to reach out to Heimdall.
(Earth)
At the same time back on Earth, Thor and Kid Arachnid are still flying around New York going house to house delivering gifts in Santa's absences, Kid Arachnid is looking at the list of the addresses they've been to and how many left to go.
"How many left on the list, Boy of Spiders?" Thor still has hand on the reins.
"We just stopped at five houses so far, we only have about billions more to go." Kid Arachnid holding the list not being enthusiastic.
Thor moaned in disappointment. "I'm a Bad Santa."
"Thor!" Heimdall communicating from Asgard.
"Heimdall!" Thor heard Heimdall's voice.
"What'd you say?" Kid Arachnid is confused.
Kid Arachnid has no idea who Thor is talking too, he then lands the sleigh down on the ground at the moment he heard Heimdall calling out to him from Asgard, Thor wants to know what this is about.
"Heimdall, what is it?" Thor asking Heimdall.
"The Man of Spiders and his friends are asking for your help, he needs you in Jotunheim now! I'll summon the Bifrost for you!" Heimdall informs Thor his friends need him.
"Got it." Thor received the message.
"Who were you talking to? What's going on?" Kid Arachnid is very confused.
"Change in plan, our friends need our help, care for some action?" Thor asking Kid Arachnid.
"Though you'd never ask!" Kid Arachnid sounds excited for some action.
Thor and Kid Arachnid got off the sleigh and walks away as Thor extends his hand up in the air, calling out to Mjolnir from Avengers Tower, the hammer came out flying at full speed as it finally reached Thor's hand.
"Hold on!" Thor told Kid Arachnid to brace himself.
The Bifrost came down from the sky and upon both Thor and Kid Arachnid as it's transporting them both away from the Earth and heading to Jotunheim.

Back in Jotunheim inside the citadel, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider joined up with the Avengers as they're surrounded at every corner by a huge number of Frost Giants, most of the heroes are too thrashed by battle, Loki steps up to see all his enemies together and defeated, Santa Claus is still chained up as he can't do anything but watch as the Avengers are about face total execution at the hands of the God of Mischief himself.
"So much for Earth's Mightiest Heroes saving Christmas, you all failed spectacularly and the holidays are about to be over soon, permanently." Loki smiled at the defeat of his enemies.
"You really are a mean one, Mr. Loki." Spider-Man told Loki.
"Still the joker even in the face of certain doom, I admire that, Spider-Man." Loki aims his staff at the Avengers all together. "Goodbye Avengers!"
All of a sudden, they heard a strange crackle like thunder, everyone looks up in the sky to see a beam of rainbow light descending down towards the citadel, the Avengers moved at is finally landed down in the middle of the throne room, the Bifrost is shining brightly as Mjolnir came flying around and taking down any Frost Giants in it's path, breaking them into pieces, Mjolnir eventually returned back to Thor's hand as the Bifrost disappear, everyone sees their teammate Thor in his Santa Claus suit holding Mjolnir, Loki is surprised to see Thor in the suit, including Santa Claus.
"Brother... that's quite a look on you." Loki teased Thor about the suit.
"Shut up, brother." Thor holding Mjolnir.
"Don't think just because you're here, don't mean you'll win this time. I can still finish you all off at once!" Loki aims his staff.
Thor along with the Avengers waits as Loki is about to make his move by unleashing a spell upon them all, but all of a sudden he got zapped very hard as the Avengers watched, Loki was shocked with so much voltage as he falls down on the ground unconscious, the Avengers are all confused as to what just happened to Loki, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider has a pretty good idea who is was. Kid Arachnid de-cloaks himself and looks down upon a defeated Loki unconscious.
"What? You didn't see that coming?" Kid Arachnid teased Loki.
All the Frost Giants backed away as their king is down, the Avengers smiled in success, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider both gave him the thumbs up, Loki has been defeated and Santa Claus has been saved, all that's left is to bring Santa Claus back to Earth in time to save Christmas. Kid Arachnid kicked away the staff from Loki and webbed him up for good measure, meanwhile Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider both took off the chains and shackles of Santa Claus, he's finally been freed, they're actually meeting Santa Claus himself in person.
"You okay, Santa?" Spider-Man asking Santa Claus.
"I am, thank you heroes, you all saved my life." Santa Claus is grateful to the Avengers.
"We're happy to help, but right now, we got bigger worries, Christmas needs Santa Claus more urgently." Spider-Man told Santa Claus.
"Oh dear, let's get going then. I don't suppose you have a way back to Earth?" Santa Claus asking the Avengers for a way back.
"Not to worry, Man of Christmas, I can provide you with that." Thor has a solution.
"Okay, time to go, let's head on home." Spider-Man tells the Avengers.
All the Avengers gathered together along with Santa Claus as Thor holds up Mjolnir, the Bifrost came down on top of them and transporting them all away from Jotunheim and heading back to Earth.
(Earth)
At the same time back on Earth, the elves are at the scene where Thor left the sleigh behind but no sign of him anywhere, neither of them are too happy with Thor's sudden absence.
"Maybe this wasn't the best idea having the God of Thunder be Santa Claus."
"What are we going to do now? Where is Santa Claus when we need him the most?"
All of a sudden, the clouds in the sky form up as the Bifrost came down and touched down on the ground, the elves are having a hard time seeing anything in the bright light until it suddenly stops, they see the Avengers are finally back from their rescue mission and they brought Santa Claus back with them.
"Santa? It is you, you're back!"
"Yes, I'm alright, thanks to the Avengers and to Thor who carried on in my place, thank you all for saving Christmas." Santa Claus is very grateful to the Avengers.
"I must admit, it wasn't easy being you, Man of Christmas, but the milk and cookies are a positive perk." Thor told Santa Claus.
"So how many houses have you stopped at?" Santa Claus asking Thor.
"Ah, about five." Thor answered Santa Claus.
"Only five stops? Oh dear, we gotta boogie now and make up the lost time." Santa Claus panics as he rushed to the sleigh.
Santa got onto the sleigh with his elves as they still got work to do delivering the gifts on time and saving Christmas, Santa then looks at the Avengers one last time before he's about to fly off to deliver presents to all the good children of the world.
"Thank you heroes, all of Christmas owes you a debt of gratitude." Santa Claus waves to the Avengers.
"It's been a privilege to save Christmas." Spider-Man waves to Santa Claus.
Santa takes the reins and flies the sleigh away. "Merry Christmas to you all!"
The Avengers down on the ground all waved goodbye to Kris Kringle flying off in his sleigh heading around the world to deliver the gifts on time before Christmas morning.
Later around midnight at Avengers Tower, it's Christmas as the team all just returned after their rescue mission was a success, they've brought back Santa Claus back in time for him to save the holiday by delivering the gifts before morning, everyone is exhausted after fighting off Loki and his army of Frost Giants took too much of their energy, they needed to relax for the night to wake up for Christmas morning, everyone took off their mask to relax and be themselves.
"Well done, Avengers, we've saved Christmas, let's get some rest, morning will be starting soon." Steve tells his teammates to rest.
"I should get going, need to be back at the academy soon." Miles told the Avengers.
"Yeah, we need to get home too." Peter told the Avengers.
"We understand, you all did great." Steve told the younger heroes.
"It's been fun fighting alongside Earth's Mightiest Heroes." Miles told Steve.
"Merry Christmas, Cap." Peter told Steve.
"Merry Christmas to you all." Steve told the younger heroes.
Peter, Gwen, and Miles are leaving the tower about to head on to their homes, Tony steps out of his armor as he walks towards Janet resting herself on the couch, he has much to say to her before he heads on to rest for the night, Janet hasn't slept yet as she's still awake, she gets up from the couch to speak with Tony.
"What is it, Tony?" Janet is wondering what's on his mind.
"I wanted to say thanks for saving my life back there, I wasn't sure you would." Tony told Janet.
"Tony, I'm still a hero at heart, I couldn't bare to have you die no matter how mad I am at you, and I think it's what Hank would've done." Janet told Tony.
"I am sorry for everything, Janet, you carried so much resentment for me and you had every right to be mad at me for my role in creating Ultron." Tony told Janet.
"I did, Tony, I did for so long, I wanted to blame you for bringing Ultron into our lives, I wanted to believe that you were the reason Hank was taken away from me, but right now I'm done blaming you for everything, I don't want to stay mad at you anymore." Janet told Tony.
"Janet... does this mean..." Tony is wondering.
"Yes, I forgive you, Tony." Janet told Tony.
Tony smiles in relief as Janet surprised him with a hug, he hugged her back as she finally forgave him for everything. Jim looked and smiled as he's happy Tony and Janet finally gained some closure in the loss of Hank Pym, but he's got other things on his mind like the fate of Loki who was left behind in Jotunheim, he turns to Thor who is taking off his Santa Claus suit.
"So what's going to happen to your brother now? We just left him behind unpunished." Jim asking Thor about Loki.
"Oh not to worry, he will be, just not by us." Thor smiled in pride as he knows what awaits Loki.
Back in Jotunheim, most of the Frost Giants are cleaning up the place after the long battle with the Avengers, Loki is sitting on his throne in defeat as the Avengers have beaten him once again, he won't take this defeat lightly as he plans to get his revenge on them soon.
"If they think they've seen the last of me, they're in for a surprise, and this time I shall..." Loki's words got interrupted.
Loki along with the Frost Giants look up in the sky to see the Bifrost coming down and touched down in the middle of the throne room, the rainbow bridge suddenly disappears as Odin is riding on his eight legged steed called Sleipnir holding his spear Gungnir accompanied by the Lady Sif, the Valkyrie Bruunhilde, and the Warrior Three, Loki realizes this is very bad for him and he's afraid.
"LOKI!" Odin yelled out in anger toward Loki.
Loki gulped and smiled nervously. "Father, what a surprise."
Odin isn't very happy with what Loki had done, but Loki will soon learn that the hard way as he cowers in fear of Odin and will soon be punished for his actions.
It's now 6:30 AM in the morning at the Parker Residence, May is already awake as she walks down the hallways knocking on each the doors to Peter and Gwen's bedrooms, both doors opens as Peter and Gwen are yawning and rubbing their eyes feeling exhausted from last night's battle in Jotunheim. Later downstairs, May is in the kitchen making breakfast as Peter and Gwen both came downstairs to see that there are presents underneath the tree, they smiled as it's Christmas, Santa was able to deliver all the presents on time before everyone woke up, Christmas is saved thanks to them and the Avengers.
"Good morning, and Merry Christmas." May is happy for Peter and Gwen.
"Merry Christmas, Aunt May." Peter smiled back at May.
"Merry Christmas, Mrs. Parker." Gwen smiled at May.
Peter and Gwen walked towards the living room to open up their gifts, but stopped as they looked above the archway to see the mistletoe above their heads, they looked at one another as its a sign of their love for each other just like the first time.
"Mistletoe!" Peter and Gwen said simultaneously, they smiled and giggled.
"Merry Christmas, Pete." Gwen wished Peter.
"Merry Christmas, Gwendy." Peter wished Gwen.
Peter and Gwen kissed each other under the mistletoe as they felt like they've already gotten the greatest Christmas gift every, their love for each other.
