Volume III: The Prowler
Note: This will be the fifteenth chapter of Volume III, this will bring Miles's uncle Aaron Davis as the Kingpin will force Aaron to leave his new life behind and embrace his old life as a criminal, he finally becomes the supervillain called the Prowler, he will undertake jobs for Fisk as he makes the preparations for his son Richard to carry on in his place while he's still in the process of being freed from prison, Richard Fisk becomes the crimelord called the Rose, he will use the Prowler to muscle in on the gangs of New York City. Prowler will cross paths with the three spider heroes as Kid Arachnid finally confronts him and learns the terrible truth, this will put him into conflict with his friends as he lets his family ties blind him and he attempts to reason with Aaron before it's too late.
It's January 17th around 3:45 PM daytime at Rikers Prison as a limousine is driving up past the front gate and making it across the bridge towards the island itself, it finally arrived at the island ground as it finally stopped, the chauffeur got out and walked towards the back of the limo to open the back door, a young sandy blonde man in a white suit with a purple tie with a rose on his left breast pocket, his name is Richard Fisk, son of Wilson Fisk and the late Vanessa, he's 25 years old as he and his bodyguards made their way into the prison. Meanwhile inside the prison itself, Wilson Fisk is in the courtyard surrounded by men he trusts, inmates and prison guards alike who are in his pocket, the man himself is lifting weights without difficulty as he's still exceptionally strong for a guy of his size, he continues to lift weights as his personal assistant James Welsey is walking through the courtyard towards his boss, he finally arrived as Fisk stopped lifting weights and got up.
"Sir, your son is here." James Wesley informed his employer.
Wilson Fisk gets off and stands on his feet as he walks away from the courtyard escorted by Welsey along with his men for protection, though not many inmates are that stupid enough to mess with the Kingpin, even locked up inside he still holds power and resources for both inside the prison and outside beyond these walls, thought his power is limited due to most of his assets being frozen since his conviction and incarceration. He finally made it to the visiting room to see his son Richard finally here in the flesh after being apart for two years due to him studying abroad, his son gets up from his chair and walks up to hug his father, Fisk is happy to see his son again.
"Richard, you finally came." Wilson Fisk still hugs his son until he stopped..
"Sorry I couldn't be here, father. But you advised me to stay way for a time since you got arrested, I couldn't even be there for my mother's funeral." Richard Fisk felt bad about his mother's death.
"I tried to save your mother, son, I really did, it broke her heart once she found out the truth about who I really am, but still she meant everything to me, she was the love of my life. Do you blame me for her death?" Wilson Fisk missed his wife Vanessa.
"No, I've never blamed you nor judged you, dad, I've always known about your life as the Kingpin of Crime since I was 15, I didn't have the heart to tell her the truth, I knew that she wouldn't understand. But I know that you're not the reason she was killed learning the truth, there were others who were responsible for bring shame to the Fisk name, that kid Peter Parker and your former associate Owlsley." Richard Fisk said.
"You don't have to worry about Owlsley, son, I've already took care of that traitor, he paid for his betrayal with his life. Now to the other matter, I take it that you've regained control of the company?" Wilson Fisk said.
"Yes father, after much time, the government still sees Fisk Industries as a legitimate company with subsidiaries all over the world, since you've been incarcerated and I'm your only heir, the board finally agreed and handed me control of the company." Richard Fisk said.
"My empire was always meant to be yours one day, not just the company, but as the next Kingpin of Crime, you're a Fisk, son, and it is your destiny to rule with intimidation and fear, starting with New York." Wilson Fisk said.
"I shall make you proud, father, I will take this city and rule the criminal underworld." Richard Fisk said.
"If you're to take the city, son, then you must rally up every gang under your banner by any means necessary, however, you still have an obstacle to overcome that can present a problem to your rise to power, several obstacles in fact." Wilson Fisk warned his son of the potential threats to him.
"You mean Spider-Man and his friends? I've heard of them, Spider-Man was the one responsible for putting you in here, father. He'll pay for all the suffering he caused our family, because of him my mother is dead, killing him will be justice for her." Richard Fisk wants revenge on Spider-Man.
"I'm please to hear you say that, my son, but this is a different world than the one I used to rule as the Kingpin, this is a world full of people with powers, good or bad, if you're to take this city and kill Spider-Man, then you'll need someone with power to aid you." Wilson Fisk said.
"Know where I can find one?" Richard Fisk said.
"There's a man who used to create weapons for me back when I was still the Kingpin, he created something extraordinary that can prove useful against Spider-Man, and I have the right guy to use it, this guy is still in my debt, now is the time to collect. But first, I must call my old associate to deliver the suit to him." Wilson Fisk said.
Fisk pulls out a phone and makes a call to his associate Phineas Mason AKA the Tinkerer who worked for him in the past, Mason had created something powerful to be used against Spider-Man and his friends, and at the same time, help Richard rise to power by taking out any oppositions to his rule as the new Kingpin of Crime. Fisk also knows the right guy to call to use this powerful weapon, someone who still owes a debt to Fisk, someone who was just freed months ago.
It's 8:30 PM nighttime in Brooklyn at the apartment where Aaron Davis has been living since he got out of prison, he's been staying with his friend Hobie Brown who lend him his SUV and helped gave him a job, right now he's in the living room with his nephew Miles Morales watching a movie Bad Boys II, the movie is at the end where Marcus and Mike are flowing in the water singing the song after the pool accident.
"Bad Boys, Bad Boys! What you gonna do? What you gonna do when we come for you?" Mike and Marcus singing together.
"Still an interesting movie, Uncle Aaron." Miles said.
"Wanna see the next movie?" Aaron holding up Bad Boys for Life.
"Maybe next time, I gotta back to school, homework and stuff. How are things with you adjusting to civilian life?" Miles said.
"It's doing great, working as an Uber is great, just drive around the neighborhood making easy money, and I don't have to break any laws." Aaron said.
"I'm proud of you, Uncle Aaron." Miles said as he grabs his backpack.
Aaron smiled. "Thanks... You should get going, gotta be back in school before curfew, and be careful out there."
"I will, bye Uncle Aaron." Miles waves to Aaron as he walks out the door.
Miles left the apartment after finishing watching the movie, Aaron is smiling as he felt great to turn his life around after all these months out of prison, he's working a legit job driving around for people and delivery food, he's starting to embrace this life as new man. All of a sudden his phone is ringing, he pulls out to see that it's an unknown number, he has a bad feeling about this as he has some suspicions who it could be, the one man he hoped he never had to hear from again.
Aaron answered the call and held the phone to his ear. "Hello?"
"Aaron Davis, remember me?" Wilson Fisk said.
"What do you want, Fisk?" Aaron said.
"Remember that debt you owe me? Now is the time to collect, I have a job for you, several jobs in fact." Wilson Fisk said.
"Look, I don't know what you want from me, and honestly I don't care, I'm done working for you, Fisk." Aaron said.
"Do you have any idea who you're talking to and what I'm capable of?" Wilson Fisk said.
"My brother is a cop, it'll be foolish of you to mess with my family." Aaron said.
"Ah yes, your brother, Sergeant Jefferson Davis of the 13th precinct, is that correct? Married to Rio Morales, a nurse who volunteers at the homeless shelter in Chinatown called F.E.A.S.T., only child is Miles Morales, your nephew, freshman at Brooklyn Visions Academy. Is my description of your family accurate? You have a nice family, it'll be a shame that something terrible happens to them because of you, Aaron Davis." Wilson Fisk is threatening Aaron's family.
"Don't you dare threaten my family, Fisk!" Aaron felt his nerves being touched.
"What happens to them is up to you, don't think that just because your brother is a cop that he's safe from me, no one is, I had cops killed before including their families, women and children, if you don't want anything terrible to happen to them, then you'll do as I ask. So tell me Mr. Davis, are you in or are you out?" Wilson Fisk is willing to kill off Aaron's family if he refuses to play ball.
Aaron sighed as he's feeling conflicted until he reluctantly gave his answer to Fisk. "Yeah... I'm in."
"Perfect, I'm sending you a text of the address for you to head to." Wilson Fisk said.
"Why? Where am I going?" Aaron is curious.
"I have an associate who will provide you with what you'll need for the jobs I'll be sending you to. Go, and remember what will happen to you and your loved ones if you defy me, starting with your nephew." Wilson Fisk gave a stern warning before hanging up.
Aaron puts away his phone after Fisk hangs up the call, he can't believe that he's forced to go back into the life of crime again, he was embracing this new life free of crime all these months he's been out of prison, now Kingpin is forcing him to go back to being a criminal again, if he refuses his demands, Miles and his parents will pay the price for his actions, he knows that Kingpin is willing to kill those he loves, even if one of them is a couple, and the others are a woman and a teenager. Meanwhile Hobie Brown just returned home with a bag of groceries, he then spotted his friend Aaron looking all froze up by something.
"What's wrong, Aaron?" Hobie worried for his friend.
"It's Fisk, he called me." Aaron said.
"Damn, I never thought you'd have to hear from the Big Man again, what did he say?" Hobie asking his friend.
"He said that he some jobs for me to do on his behalf, or else." Aaron said.
"Or else what?" Hobie is curious.
"Or else he'll kill those I love, starting with Miles." Aaron confessed what Kingpin will do.
"Jesus... I can't believe this is happening." Hobie is shocked by this news.
"Neither did I, I was just starting to embrace this new life free of crime working a legit job, even my nephew is proud of me for changing my life, now I'm being forced to go back to that old life again. I don't what to do, Hobie." Aaron is feeling conflicted with everything.
"Hey man, I respect that you turned your life and you're going straight, I really do, but Wilson Fisk isn't the kind of guy you say no to, this man once lead an attack on a school couple years ago, he even killed off an entire family of someone who betrayed him, this man is ruthless and is capable of anything to get what he wants. I'm sorry that this is happening to you, but you may not have a choice but to do as he ask, for your family's sake." Hobie said.
Aaron hates this, he wanted to put this life of a criminal behind him and live a normal life, now he's being forced to go back as Wilson Fisk is threatening everyone he loves, especially Miles who believed in him, but he's aware of the consequences if he defies the Kingpin, his family will pay the price for him, Kingpin has no problem threatening or killing off anyone to get what he wants, including women or children. Like it or not, Aaron will have no choice but to comply with Kingpin's demand and do as he ask for his family's safety, Aaron's phone got a text as he pulls it out to see where to go, to meet up with the Tinkerer and get what he'll need for these jobs.
It's 11:14 PM at a warehouse in the Bronx, an SUV came by and parked right outside as Aaron Davis steps out and looks at the place where Kingpin told him to go, he heads towards the door left open for him exactly as it said on the text, Aaron went inside to see that there's a hidden workshop here filled with many amazing tech, at the workbench is Phones Mason, the Tinkerer who stopped his work to see that Aaron Davis has finally arrived here at the workshop exactly as Wilson Fisk said.
"Ah, you must be Mr. Davis, I've been expecting you." Tinkerer said.
"So you're the Tinkerer I've heard so much about, the guy who made those all those tech for Fisk, Herman once told me that you made those awesome gauntlets of his, pretty cutting edge stuff." Aaron heard about the Tinkerer.
"And now you shall awesome tech of your own, what I've made is so much better." Tinkerer said.
Tinkerer picked up a case and placed it upon the table for Aaron, he opens it up to show him what's inside, Aaron's eyes gazed upon it as he finally realized what's in store for him is much more than the old life as the criminal he used to be, he needed to become something much more to handle the jobs Kingpin will assign him, something that will put him at odd with the heroes of New York and will enable him to face them head on, he'll need to become a supervillain.
Today is January 18th around 2:45 PM at Brooklyn Visions Academy as the school bell rang and classes ended for the day, everyone is walking out of classrooms including Miles with his best friend Ganke Lee who has been introduced to the team couple months ago, he sometimes aid them with his expertise in computers, he and Miles are walking through the hallways as Miles is anxious to go out and join his friends on patrol as Kid Arachnid.
"I should get going, my friends might need me out there. You coming?" Miles said.
"Sorry Miles, I got some studying to do, I'm going to stay behind and do some reading, but if you need a guy in a chair, I'm just a phone call away." Ganke said.
"Okay, I guess I'll see you later. Bye Ganke." Miles said before walking away.
"Bye!" Ganke said.
Miles is leaving the school to join up with his friends as Kid Arachnid while Ganke Lee elected to stay behind to do his homework, but he'll remain available just in case his friends need him for his help, all he needs is a computer and he'll assist them anyway he can from here.
Later around 3:55 PM at the Spider-Cave, Peter is already dressed up in his Spider-Man suit as he's at his workbench working on something new, a crate labelled Stark Industries was open as Peter is tinkering with his web shooters adding an energy shield emitter to it, the very same technology Captain America used recently when his shield was in repairs, Peter was amazed by this technology that he wanted to combine it with his web shooter to create something new to be used in the future. Meanwhile the screen on the supercomputer is showing live news of Richard Fisk taking up leadership in his father's company.
"We're here at Fisk Industries where it has been announced that Richard Fisk, son of Wilson Fisk, will be taking control of the company and promises to lead it into a brighter future than it ever did under his father's control. As many New Yorkers are fully aware of Wilson Fisk's actions as the Kingpin of Crime, couple years ago he was exposed to the public for his role in the attack on Midtown Science High School, afterward the NYPD finally gained the evidence needed to arrest him for all his crimes as the Kingpin, he escaped the authorites for a time until he was finally arrested for his crimes and convinced at trial. It is unknown what Richard's ambitions for the company, even though it still a legitimate company, it has been used as a front for Kingpin's criminal activities for the city as well as the world, the board can only hope that he doesn't follow in his father's footsteps once he gain control, only time will tell."
Peter is listening to everything the news had to say about Richard Fisk and his father, he remembers what the Kingpin had done couple years ago, he came after his girlfriend and almost killed her, then he tried to kill him along with Gwen and Mary Jane, it was a hard road for him to finally bring Wilson Fisk to justice, but still he can't help but wonder if Richard will follow in the same footsteps as his father, only time will tell. But he more focused on completing the modified web shooters, he puts away the tools after tinkering and types the laptop to modify how the shield will appear when summoned. Meanwhile Miles and Gwen entered the Spider-Cave wearing their suits to see Peter working on something new.
"Hey Pete, what are you doing?" Gwen said.
"Oh, hey Gwen, I was working on something new with my web shooters. Come and check this out." Peter said.
Peter strapped on one of the web shooters to his left wrist as he holds it up, Miles and Gwen noticed something new about it, some kind of emitter, Peter then tests out the new modifications in hopes that it will work, the emitter on the web shooter is powering up as it formed up an energy shield made entirely out of solid light, it's glowing white and displays kinda like Captain America's version, but Spider-Man's version showing off webs and the symbol of the spider in the middle, Miles and Gwen are amazed by this new feature.
"Whoa, that so cool!" Miles likes it.
"It's amazing, what is it?" Gwen is curious.
"It's called an energy shield, Stark made one for Cap when his shield needed repairs, it's just as durable as his old one, but it's still experimental and requires power to maintain it. But now I've combined it with my web shooters and created my own version I like to call the web shield." Peter showing off the web shield.
"Web Shield, that's catchy, but impressive." Miles likes it.
"Hopefully I'll get the chance to use it for defense. So where's Ganke?" Peter said.
"He's studying back at the school, but he'll help us if we need it." Miles said.
"Good, let's get going, got a call from Captain Watanabe, she has something for us." Peter said.
"Okay." Gwen puts on her mask and becomes Ghost-Spider. "Shall we?"
"Ladies first." Peter smiled and flirted as he puts on his mask.
"Let's go." Miles puts his mask on.
All three heroes are heading out on patrol to keep the city safe from criminals and to rescue anyone in serious danger, Spider-Man hopes that his new web shield will come in handy for defensive purposes for himself and anyone he'll protect.
Around the same time at Fisk Industries, Richard Fisk enters the office that once belonged to his father during his time as CEO and as the Kingpin of Crime, he walks towards the window to get a better view of the city from far up, he could see the entire city that his father once control through intimidation and fear before he lost it all at the hands of Spider-Man, now it's his turn to take up his father's mantle and rule New York with an iron fist. All of a sudden, something appeared out of thin air, it's a man dressed in a black, green, and purple battle suit equipped with cutting edge technology and weapons, Richard turns back to see the man who will help him with his rise to power, this man is now a supervillain.
"From the way you're dressed up, you're the guy my father sent, got a name for yourself?" Richard asking this mysterious supervillain.
"I do, call me the Prowler. What do you need me to do?" Prowler said.
"Very well, let's get down to business, as you're well aware, my father's criminal empire has fallen after his arrest and created a power vacuum, many crime lords have claimed pieces of territory to own, right now there are four crime syndicates that have risen in power, in Brooklyn we have the Tracksuit Mafia, even though their boss Ivan is dead and most of their members are arrested, they've managed to regroup and grown back up under the leadership of Kazi Kazimierczak, alias the Clown, in Queens, we got the drug ring controlled by the Lobo Brothers, in the lower half of Manhattan, there's the Maggia controlled by Billy Russo, alias Jigsaw, and last but not least, in the upper half is another drug ring controlled by Cornell Stokes, alias Cottonmouth, all four control an essential piece of New York and have an uneasy truce to stay out of each other's business. But my father's sources tells me that they're about to have a private summit around 6 PM, this will be the perfect opportunity to cut off the heads of the snakes and show everyone left who's in charge." Richard Fisk explained about the crime bosses.
"Dang, I knew your father was ruthless, I never expected his son to be the same, so now you're Kingpin Junior." Prowler said.
"No, if I am to become a crime lord over the entire city, then I'll need a name that doesn't connect me to the Kingpin to avoid suspicion, from now on I shall become the Rose." Richard Fisk becomes the Rose.
Richard Fisk decided to become a crime lord just like his father, but he took on another name, he became the Rose and with the Prowler at his side, he has the weapon he needs to take on anyone who stands in his way, starting with the crime bosses who will oppose his rule, he now tasked Prowler to eliminate them at this private summit.
Later at the 13th precinct, Captain Yuri Watanabe is waiting alone on the rooftop for the heroes to arrive, she has some information to share concerning something happening later with the crime bosses, she drinks a cup of coffee until she spotted them swinging through the city and heading here. Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider, and Kid Arachnid swing onto the rooftop and finally arrived here.
"We're here, Captain Watanabe." Spider-Man said.
"Thank you for coming." Yuri Watanabe said.
"You got something for us?" Ghost-Spider said.
"Yes, I'll get straight to it, there's a private meeting happening at a warehouse in Queens, five crime bosses are gathering together in secret to discuss business, I have a U.C. within the Lobo crime organization, he's the one who's providing us with valuable intel." Yuri Watanabe said.
"Are you worried that something bad will happening at that meeting?" Spider-Man said.
"I hope not, but when it comes to criminals, anything could happen. This is what I need from you, make sure that my guy stays alive should he be in serious danger." Yuri Watanabe asking them for their help.
"Sure thing, Captain, we're on it." Spider-Man agrees to help.
"Thank you, you all should get going, it's about to start in 30 minutes." Yuri Watanabe said.
Spider-Man and his friends all left the rooftop and started swinging towards Queens to attend that summit to keep things from getting out of hand and to keep the undercover cop within safe from harm.
It's 6 PM at the warehouse in Queens, many cars are parked outside as all five crime bosses are gathered inside, including the undercover cop who infiltrated the Lobos, his name is Vin Gonzales and he's accompanying the two Lobo brothers Carlos and Eduardo, two Mexican American criminals part of a drug cartel that started in Mexico and expands to New York, the Maggia are an Italian mafia based out of Sicily with a charter here in New York, their boss is a man name Billy Russo AKA Jigsaw, a man with a deformed face full of scars like that of a jigsaw, then theres the Tracksuit Mafia, a crime syndicate from Brooklyn that has trouble with the law very recently with many of their members arrested and the loss of their former leader Ivan, but they've grown back under the leadership of Kazi Kazimierczak, the Clown, he painted his face white to resemble that of a clown, and last but not least is Cottonmouth, another crime boss with a drug ring based out of Harlem, all five are together to discuss recent events concerning Richard Fisk.
"I assume you all heard the news, Richard Fisk is taking control of his father's company, the very same company Kingpin used as his base of operation for his criminal empire." Jigsaw said.
"I don't see why we all have concern ourselves with Fisk's son, he's nothing but a spoiled brat in a suit trying to live up to daddy's name." Cottonmouth said.
"We all have to be worried, even thought his father is in prison, he still has much pull on the outside, we all took a piece of territory once Fisk was incarcerated, now that his son is in charge of his company, what's to keep him from taking back what his father lost?" Clown said.
"I don't want to end up dead just like my cousin Black Mariah, rest her soul." Cottonmouth praying to his cousin resting in peace.
"We won't give up what we've work so hard to build just because the prince has taken the castle, if he wants our territory, then he can have it over our dead bodies." Carlos Lobo said.
All of a sudden the lightbulbs hanging above everyone's head sudden blown up as the whole room has gone dark, everyone got spooked as they all pulled out their guns on alert, they suspect that someone is here uninvited in their private meeting, the thugs are aiming their guns trying to find the intruder, all of a sudden a figure came out of nowhere and started to attack the thugs using his gauntlets to unleashed a pulse blast and took them down one by one as the bosses are witnessing something green and purple attacking their men without difficulty, this guy even has plasma claws to cut through almost anything, whoever he is, he's proven to be very dangerous for them to handle together, this guy is the supervillain called the Prowler.
"What the hell is that?" Jigsaw said aiming his gun.
Jigsaw started shooting at the assailant who suddenly disappears into thin air, they have no idea where he go, they all looked around until suddenly he appeared right behind them and used his pulse blast to attack Jigsaw, hurting him and knocking him out unconscious, the Lobos Brothers both started shooting at the attackers, the bullets are ineffective as the suit is made out of protective material that can resist gunfire and other things, Prowler charged in switching to his plasma claws to cut the guns into pieces, he then strikes with a couple of kicks to the brothers, Clown tries to stop him by swinging a pipe but Prowler used his claws to cut it in half, Prowler then headbutt Clown in the face, knocking him down unconscious. Prowler looks around to see that he neutralize four crime bosses and their men all by himself, only Cottonmouth is left standing as his orders are to take out all five crime bosses, hidden nearby is the undercover cop Vin Gonzales who is holding up the gun ready to strike back to see that Prowler is about to take out Cottonmouth.
"Who are you?" Cottonmouth is afraid.
"The name's Prowler, it's nothing personal, time for you to join your cousin in the afterlife." Prowler aims his gauntlet at Cottonmouth.
Cottonmouth closes his eyes as he's afraid that his life is about to be taken right before his eyes, Vin Gonzales came out of hiding and started shooting at the Prowler who took the hits, but his battlesuit protected him and he turns to see the man who shot at him, he turns his gauntlet and fired off his pulse blast, knocked Vin off the ground all injured, he approaches the man who shot him as he can't have anymore interference, he aims his gauntlet to deliver the final blow to finish off the man once and for all, Prowler is a bit hesitant as he hasn't killed anyone yet, this is actually the first time for him.
"Sorry... I'll make this quick and painless." Prowler aims his gauntlet.
Prowler's gauntlet is powering up about to kill off the thug who is actually an undercover cop that he doesn't know, he doesn't feel comfortable in taking a life but he knows what's at stake here, his family's lives, all of a sudden the window ceiling was broken down as Spider-Man came in down for a land and webbed up Prowler's gauntlet, knocking the trajectory of his pulse blast and saving Vin's life in the process, Spider-Man landed down along with Ghost-Spider and Kid Arachnid, Prowler removes the webbing from his gauntlet to see three spider heroes here right before his eyes, Vin is happy to see that they've saved his life, all of a sudden Jigsaw along with Clown and the Lobo Brothers are recovering and making their escape with Cottonmouth. Prowler sees that his mission has been compromised thanks to the intervention of the heroes, he'll need to make a tactical retreat but the heroes won't let that happen, they see a new supervillain in a purple and green battlesuit.
"Don't think we've met, pal." Spider-Man said.
"Damn, I didn't expect you guys to show up so soon and ruining everything." Prowler is disappointed in their sudden appearance.
"Who are you and why are you targeting the crime bosses?" Ghost-Spider said.
"Sorry, I can't chat, I got a job to do." Prowler said.
"We can't let you leave." Spider-Man said.
"I don't want to fight you all." Prowler said.
"Then surrender peacefully and come with us." Kid Arachnid said.
"Can't do that." Prowler said.
Prowler then uses his gauntlets to fire off his pulse blasts at the heroes, they've split up and went in separate directions to confuse him, Spider-Man came in for a drop kick, Prowler used his boots to give him a boost, he jumps up in the air and punched Spider-Man hard with all his strength, Ghost-Spider and Kid Arachnid sees that this guy managed to punch Spider-Man up in the air and knocked him down, the Prowler suit enhances the users physical abilities, giving him enough strength to take on a superhuman. Ghost-Spider fired off a web line towards Prowler, the villain grabbed the line and pulled Ghost-Spider in with all his strength, he then punched her hard in the face, he picked her up and tossed her towards Spider-Man getting back up, they've collided with each other, Prowler took the opportunity to take them both out by unleashing a powerful pulse blast upon them, Spider-Man quickly acted and activated the web shield to protect them both together, the shield took the blast, Prowler failed to destroy them both as the shield protected them, he then blasted the ceiling as debris came falling down upon them, Spider-Man held the web shield up above them as the debris trapped them underneath, Prowler make his escape as Kid Arachnid is left standing to stop him.
"I got him." Kid Arachnid tells his teammates.
Prowler fired off a grappling hook towards the top of the ceiling as Kid Arachnid is running towards him, he got pulled up before the hero could ever reach him, Prowler finally made it through the broken window ceiling to the rooftop, Kid Arachnid fired off a line and swings up after him, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider both worked together to push off the debris, the web shield proved useful in saving them from the debris, though they are still recovering from their injuries as they attempt to get back up on their feet. Meanwhile Prowler is jumping around rooftops trying to get away from everyone until he got punched hard all of a sudden, Kid Arachnid de-cloaks himself and Prowler sees that he's the one who punched him out.
"Nice hook, kid, but pointless." Prowler suddenly disappears right before Kid Arachnid's eyes.
Kid Arachnid lost sight of the Prowler, this guy has the ability to turn himself invisible just like him, he looks around trying to get a sense of the Prowler, his spider senses tingles too late as he got kicked from behind, he got back up to try to fight back but he got punched hard in the face and fell back down again, Kid Arachnid isn't used to fighting someone with invisibility, he'll need to take a page from Spider-Man's playbook, he closes his eyes and rely on his spider sense to track him, he waits for Prowler to make the first move. Kid Arachnid remains patient as his spider sense tingles, he then clinched his fist and strikes back at the direction Prowler is coming in, he managed to Prowler hard in the chest and sent him down on the ground. Prowler de-cloaks from the shock of the venom punch, he attempts to get back up on his feet but Kid Arachnid manage to stop him by holding him down.
"Now it's time to see who's behind this mask." Kid Arachnid said.
Kid Arachnid grabbed the Prowler's mask and takes it off his head, showing his face as Kid Arachnid is shocked to see the face behind it, it's his Uncle Aaron, he's shocked to find out that his uncle is the Prowler.
"You?" Kid Arachnid is still stunned by this revelation.
Aaron could see the hero is hesitating for some reason, he took the opportunity to punch Kid Arachnid in the face while he lets his guard down, he got loose and grabs his mask, he puts it back on and makes his escape as Kid Arachnid quickly webs up one of Prowler's gauntlet and pulls it off hard his arm, Prowler lost one of his gauntlets but doesn't care as he cloaks himself again to escape. Kid Arachnid lost sight of the Prowler but managed to retrieve one of his gauntlets, but he's more confused as to why his uncle is a supervillain and why he's targeting crime bosses, none of this makes any sense to him as his uncle has turned his life around, there's no reason for him to go back to this life, meanwhile Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider managed to catch up to their teammate but no sign of the supervillain.
"Hey, sorry we took so long, are you alright?" said Spider-Man.
"Yeah... I'm fine, but I'm sorry to say that he got away." said Kid Arachnid.
"It's alright, don't take it personally." said Spider-Man.
"What's that you're holding?" said Ghost-Spider.
Kid Arachnid holding Prowler's gauntlet in his hand. "Oh this? I've managed to snag this off from the guy before he escaped."
"Did you get a good look at him, any clues as to who this guy is?" Spider-Man asking Kid Arachnid.
"No, he still had his mask on the entire time." Kid Arachnid lied to them.
Ghost-Spider takes the gauntlet. "No worries, hopefully we can use this as a clue to find him."
"Right, we should head back to the crime scene to investigate." said Spider-Man.
"Ah, you both go on without me, I have to go." said Kid Arachnid.
"You're not coming with us?" said Ghost-Spider.
"Can't, I have to get back to school, got homework to do, sorry to bail out at a time like this." Kid Arachnid lies to them again.
"Don't worry, go, me and Ghost-Spider got this." said Spider-Man.
"Thanks, see you both tomorrow." said Kid Arachnid.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider waved to Kid Arachnid before they left him behind and heads back to the crime scene to investigate this incident, Kid Arachnid couldn't believe that he had to lie to his friends and withhold the truth that his uncle is the supervillain they fought earlier, Kid Arachnid needs to find out why Aaron has gone back to the life of crime all of a sudden and just when his life was turned around. Kid Arachnid is heading back to Brooklyn to investigate this on his own without his friends getting in the way, this choice of his could drive a wedge between, but he wants to convince Aaron to stop this before he destroys his life.
It's 7:05 PM as Kid Arachnid is swinging around the neighborhood heading towards Brooklyn Visions Academy, he made and cling to the walls, he started climbing up towards his dorm room until he made it to his window to see Ganke Lee is studying in his dorm room while his laptop is playing live news of the recent attack in Queens where five crime bosses where attacked by a new supervillain called the Prowler, this guy managed to overpower the three superheroes and is still on the loose as Ganke is listening while reading.
"Around 6:03 PM, an event took place here in a warehouse in Queens where five crime bosses were gathered for a private summit, we still don't have the identities of who they are, but police did share that they were all attacked by a assailant dressed in some kind of battle suit who took down an entire group of criminals alone within a matter of minutes, he even managed to best three superheroes who intervened to stop him, police still don't know the identity of the man underneath the mask, but they told us that he goes by the name Prowler, residents in New York are advised to stay alert as he is considered to be very dangerous, police are working to find this villain before he strikes again."
Ganke listened to the news about this Prowler guy being a challenge for the three spider heroes to handle together, he then heard the window opening and turns to see Kid Arachnid climbing inside the dorm room, he closes the computer as Miles takes off his mask, he needed to speak with Ganke about what he had found out about the Prowler.
"Miles, thank god that you're okay, I heard on the news that you guys got your butts kicked by this Prowler guy." said Ganke.
"Prowler?" said Miles.
"That's what they're calling him on the news, I thought that you'd be out there with your friends looking for the guy, trying to find out who he is." said Ganke.
"Ganke... I already know who he is." said Miles.
"What? Who is he?" said Ganke.
"But first you have to promise me that you won't tell anyone." said Miles.
"Okay, I promise." said Ganke.
Miles sighs as he works up the courage to tell the truth. "Okay... it's Uncle Aaron."
Ganke looked very surprised. "Whoa, no way, your Uncle is a supervillain."
"Yeah." said Miles.
"That's so cool." Ganke said until Miles gave him the look. "I mean, that's bad."
"Of course it's bad, I just don't understand why he's doing this." said Miles.
"I'm guessing your friends must've been just as shocked as you are." said Ganke.
"Yeah... about that... I haven't told them." said Miles.
"What? You didn't tell them that your uncle is the Prowler?" said Ganke.
"No, and I don't want them to know, this is family thing, Ganke, I just want to find out what's going on with my uncle without them getting in the way." said Miles.
"I can't believe that you're hiding this from your friends just to protect your uncle." said Ganke.
"I don't like this either, Ganke, but he's my family, I just want to find out why he's the Prowler and I need your help for this." said Miles.
"I still think this is a mistake keeping your friends out of the loop." said Ganke.
"Are you going to help me or not?" said Miles.
Ganke sighed. "Okay, I just hope you know what you're doing."
"Thank you, now I need you to find out where he's at, can you track his phone?" said Miles.
"Do you even gotta ask?" said Ganke.
Ganke crunches his fingers and opens up his laptop, he then attempts to track down Aaron's phone to get a read on where he's currently is, he got a read on the phone's signal, it's in Brooklyn.
"Got it, he's in Brooklyn, check it out." Ganke shows Miles the screen.
Miles got a look. "I know this place, Aaron lives there, he's back home. Thanks Ganke."
"Where are you going?" said Ganke.
"To see my uncle." Miles is walking away.
Miles just left the dorm room about to head to confront his uncle about his recent activities, he wants to find out why Aaron is the Prowler and wants to talk him out of this mess, Ganke is worried that Miles is overdoing it by keeping his friends out of it, if they find out that Miles is withholding this from them, this won't end well as they'll lose their trust in him.
At the same time in the Spider-Cave, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider are still investigating into finding the Prowler before he strikes again, Spidey is at the table examining the gauntlet that Kid Arachnid manage to take from the supervillain before his escape, meanwhile Ghost-Spider is having some suspicions that Kid Arachnid is acting strange since she and Spidey caught up to him, like he's hiding something from them, Spider-Man used the magnifying glass to take a closer look at the gauntlet and noticed something familiar about the design, like it was made by someone he knew before.
"Huh? This is interesting." said Spider-Man.
"What is?" said Ghost-Spider.
"This design is remarkably similar to the ones I've found in tech made by Phineas Mason." said Spider-Man.
"The Tinkerer guy you defeated couple years ago, the one who used to own this place." said Ghost-Spider.
"The same, without a doubt, this is definitely his work, looks like we got a lead to follow on." Spider-Man looked at Ghost-Spider who looks like she got something else on her mind. "What is it, Gwendy?"
"It's about Miles, have you noticed that he's been acting very strange recently?" said Ghost-Spider.
"Meaning?" said Spider-Man.
"Like he's hiding something from us." said Ghost-Spider.
"Nah, there's no way that Miles is keeping secrets from us, I trust him." said Spider-Man.
"Yeah, you're probably right, maybe I'm just being superstitious. Let's go find this Tinkerer and get our answers." said Ghost-Spider.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider grabbed their masks and put them on as they're about to leave the Spider-Cave to go find the Tinkerer and get some answers into the identity of the Prowler. They hopped onto their Spider-Cycles and rode off through the tunnel and made it outside.
It's 7:35 PM as Aaron Davis is back at the apartment all dressed up in his normal attire, he checks on the Prowler Battlesuit to see that one of the gauntlets has been removed, he was barely lucky to made it out of there after a confrontation with the heroes, thanks to the suit's capabilities he was able to face them head on and survived, but he failed in his mission to eliminate the crime bosses that would present a problem towards Rose's rise to power. Aaron is feeling conflicted in what he's doing, he never wanted to go back to the life of crime, let alone take a life, but he knows that Kingpin is willing to go so far as to threaten his loved ones if he refuses to obey his wishes.
Aaron Davis sighs. "Aaron, what the hell are you doing, man?"
All of a sudden the doorbell rang, he panicked as he took the suit and hid it underneath the bed to keep anyone from finding out that he's the Prowler, after he hid the suit he walked out of the bedroom and headed towards the front door, he took a peek through the door eye hole to see his nephew Miles outside, he's confused as to why he's here, but regardless he opens up the door for his nephew.
"Miles?" said Aaron.
"Hey Uncle Aaron, may I come in?" said Miles.
"This... really isn't a good time." said Aaron.
"How come? You're going somewhere?" said Miles.
Aaron Davis sighs and allows him inside. "Come in."
Miles enters the apartment and got the sense that his uncle is feeling agitated, he already knows why since he knows that his uncle is the Prowler, but he still doesn't know why he's a supervillain just when his life was turned around, he's only lucky that Aaron doesn't know that he's Kid Arachnid, the same hero he fought against earlier.
"So what brings you by, Miles?" said Aaron.
"I was just thinking maybe we can watch that movie tonight, you know Bad Boys for Life." said Miles.
"Sorry, maybe another time." said Aaron.
"Uncle Aaron, are you okay? You've been acting strange, even for you." said Miles.
"I don't know what you're talking about?" Aaron trying to hide his transgressions.
"Aaron, please look at me and tell me that you haven't been committing any crimes." Miles asking Aaron to tell the truth.
Aaron said nothing and remained quiet as he doesn't want to involve Miles into any of this for his own protection, but Miles already knows what Aaron has been doing lately as the Prowler.
"I can't believe this, you're doing it again, aren't you? Why Uncle Aaron? You have a job, you don't have to be a criminal!" Miles is disappointed.
"I'm not doing this to pay phone bills, Miles... I owe people, very dangerous people who are capable of anything to get what they want." Aaron explained why he's doing this.
"Who?" said Miles.
"I can't tell you, it's for your own protection." Aaron wants to keep Miles safe.
"Please tell me who's threatening you, my dad can help you." Miles suggested asking his father for help.
"He can't help me, no one can, you have no idea what he's capable." Aaron is talking about the Kingpin.
"Who's he?" Miles found out that it's a man.
"Miles, for your own good, stay of it, okay?! You really need to go and leave this alone!" Aaron is scared for Miles.
"Uncle Aaron..." said Miles.
"Miles! Just go!" Aaron tells his nephew to leave.
Miles said nothing more as he walks away feeling all disappointed for him, Aaron closed the door as he starting to tear up and feeling hurt inside for pushing away his nephew, he hates what's he doing, going back to the life of crime, even though it wasn't his choice to do so. He never wanted to be the criminal again until Kingpin started threatening Aaron by hurting the ones he loves, he wanted to protect them even at the cost of his new life. All of a sudden his phone rang, he wipes off his tears and pulls it out to see that it's a blocked number, he knows who it is.
Aaron answered the call and held the phone to his ear. "Aaron here."
"I heard about your recent failure in eliminating my son's rivals, how disappointing, I asked you to do one thing and you've screwed it up." said Kingpin.
"That wasn't my fault, I was so close until the heroes intervened and ruined everything." said Aaron.
"Unfortunate, but not surprising, everywhere there's trouble, they always come to stop it. You've should've killed them instead of running away like a coward." said Kingpin.
"Go to hell, Fisk! My life is turned upside down because of you!" Aaron is angry and insults Kingpin.
"Watch your tongue, have you forgotten who you're talking to and what I'm capable of?" said Kingpin.
"I don't care, I'm done working for you, so stay out of my life!" Aaron quits working for Kingpin.
"Very well, as you wish, but I can't promise the same thing for your family. So if you still want to quit, go ahead and let your family face the consequences." Kingpin gave Aaron an ultimatum.
Aaron calms himself down and sighs. "What do you want from me?"
"That's a good boy, you still have a job to do, I want those crime bosses dead even if you have to do one by one, if those heroes get in the way again, all the better, kill them too, especially Spider-Man." Kingpin instructs Aaron.
"Very well, consider it done." Aaron accepts the job.
"Do not fail me again, or else you know what will happen." Kingpin then hangs up the call.
Aaron still feels conflicted and afraid, he knows that Kingpin doesn't bluff when it comes to his threats, he walks back to the bedroom to fetch the suit he hid underneath the bed, he began to suit up. He picked up a case and picked up another gauntlet to replace the one he lose, he became the Prowler again as he's heading out of the apartment through the fire escape, he hopped onto the motorcycle and rides out of the alley, unknown to him Kid Arachnid is on the rooftop watching as he spotted the Prowler riding away, he jumps out and swings after him through the neighborhood.
It's 8:01 PM in the Bronx at a warehouse where Phineas Mason has set up his new workshop, he's now currently doing business with criminals looking for illegal hi tech weaponry to buy for their criminal activities, Mason has a lot of weapons to demonstrate, he picked up one of them, a vibro shock rifle that fires off a blast similar to that of Shocker's gauntlets, he holds it up in the air to show the criminals he's selling to. Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider made it to find the hidden workshop, they quietly opens up the window ceiling to sneak inside to surprise everyone doing business, Spider-Man sees that Tinkerer is back to his old tricks in selling hi tech weapons to criminals again.
"I assume that you're all familiar with the criminal known as the Shocker? This rifle here fires off vibro shock blast capable of causing maximum damage to anything, if any of you are interested, let's talk price." said Tinkerer.
"How about 25 to life?" Spider-Man's voice coming from above.
Tinkerer and the criminals all looked up above to see Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider clinging above the ceiling until they dropped down and landed down on the ground together, the thugs started to pull out their weapons but the heroes responded quickly and strikes first by firing off webbing to neutralize their guns, Tinkerer panicked and drops the rifle as he knows from personal experience that he's no match for Spider-Man, let's alone two of them together, Spider-Man wrapped his legs upon one thug and does the hurricanrana, Ghost-Spider strikes one with a martelo de negativa kick, Tinkerer started to make his escape while he still can as Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider defeated the last of the thugs, they spotted Tinkerer making his escape, he made it outside until he got webbed and pulled up towards the rooftop yelling in fear, he finally arrive as Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider holds him up again the edge.
"Hey Mason, miss me?" said Spider-Man.
"Spider-Man, what a surprise." said Tinkerer looking nervous.
"I see that you're back to your old exploits, selling dangerous weapons to criminals, somethings never change." said Spider-Man.
"How did you find me?" said Tinkerer.
"Wasn't easy, we had to shake some trees until we got our answer, heard where you've set up shop." said Spider-Man.
"Wish I could go back to my old hideout, but found out it has already been occupied. You wouldn't happen to know anything about that, would you?" said Tinkerer.
"That's not important, this is." Spider-Man holds up a gauntlet. "I believe this is your work."
"Sorry, never seen that before." Tinkerer lied to them.
Spider-Man pulls Tinkerer in and holds the gauntlet closer to his face.
"Take a closer look." Spider-Man intimidating Tinkerer.
"Okay, okay, take it easy, yes, I did made it." Tinkerer confessed.
"Who did you make it for? We want a name?" Spider-Man interrogates Tinkerer.
Tinkerer remains quiet as he doesn't want to say the Kingpin's name or else, Spider-Man could tell that he's hiding something, he holds him against the ledge loosening his fingers, threatening to drop Tinkerer down to the ground, he got very scared.
"Name! NOW!" Spider-Man intimidates Tinkerer.
Tinkerer is scared as he finally speaks up. "Davis! Aaron Davis!"
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider finally got a name of the Prowler''s true identity, he then left Tinkerer on the rooftop for the cops to find, he and Ghost-Spider walked away from Tinkerer to talk in private without him listening in about the clue they've gotten.
"Davis? Why does that name sound so familiar?" said Ghost-Spider.
"I don't know, but we're going to find out, I have an idea." said Spider-Man.
Spider-Man pulls out his phone and accesses the Stark network that is connected to every federal and law enforcement agencies on the planet, as an Avenger he has full access, he types in Aaron Davis and searches the criminal database in hopes that this guy has a criminal record, they got a result, his full name, criminal rap sheets, and next of kin.
"Got it, Aaron Davis, 35 years old, says here he's been arrested for armed robbery and grand theft auto, spent four years in Rikers Prison, got out five months ago." Spider-Man reads Aaron's criminal record.
"Anything else to lead on? A hangout or something?" said Ghost-Spider.
"No known hangouts, but he does have family, a brother, Jefferson Davis." said Spider-Man.
"Jefferson Davis? Wait, isn't that Miles's dad? Then that means that..." said Ghost-Spider.
"The Prowler is Miles's uncle..." Spider-Man is stunned by this news.
Ghost-Spider suddenly has a revelation. "Then that means that..."
"He knew, he knew that his uncle is a supervillain and didn't tell us." said Spider-Man.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider figured out that their friend knew the whole time that his uncle is the Prowler and kept it to himself, they felt betrayed by him for keeping something this important from his friends, their trust in him is now broke as they know what to do.

Back at the school, Ganke Lee is relaxing and listening to music on his phone with his eyes close, all of a sudden his earbuds rang loudly as he snaps out of his break and got up from his bed, he then answered the call to find out who is calling him.
"Hello?" said Ganke Lee.
"Ganke, where's Miles?" said Spider-Man.
"Miles?" said Ganke Lee.
"Drop the act, Ganke, we know that his uncle is the Prowler and he's being keeping it from us, we know everything. Where is he?" said Spider-Man.
Ganke Lee is stunned to find out that Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider knows that Miles's uncle is the supervillain Prowler and that he's been hiding the truth from them, he was afraid this would happen, he remains quiets as to whether or not to help them find Kid Arachnid, but he can't keep it quiet anymore, he picked up the laptop and works his magic, he's tracking his friends phone signal to Brooklyn, which means he's following the Prowler.
It's 8:45 PM in Brooklyn at the new hideout of the Tracksuit Mafia as Kid Arachnid is observing from the building across the street waiting for Prowler to make his first move, he found the bike his uncle was riding but no sign of the Prowler yet as he figures out that he's cloaked, meanwhile he looks at the window to see the Clown and his men are all arming up preparing for a fight after the Prowler made an assassination attempt against him and the other crime bosses. So far nothing big has happened, Kid Arachnid hopes to stop the Prowler from doing something regrettable, just maybe he could convince him to quit before he loses everything.
"Where are you Uncle Aaron?" said Kid Arachnid.
All of a sudden from the inside, gunshots were popping off as Kid Arachnid figured out that Prowler is making his move against the Tracksuit Mafia, he jumps off and swings across the building, inside the hideout the thugs are shooting off bullets at the Prowler who is protected by his suit, he uses his claws to slice off any guns to disarm his attackers, he then switches to using his gauntlets to fire off a pulse blast to neutralize the thugs without killing them as he still doesn't have it in him to take a life just yet, but he'll have to once he comes across Clown. Kid Arachnid turns himself invisible in order to surprise the Prowler and get the upper hand against him, he sneaks inside the building while the battle is happening and nobody is aware of his presence yet.
Back inside, Prowler finished neutralizes all the thugs as Clown is the only one left standing, he aims his 50 cal revolver and started shooting at Prowler, he got grazed in the shoulder as the bullet is armored piercing round, he turns himself invisible and disappears. Clown lost sight of Prowler as he aims his revolver around hoping to find and kill him, he tries to remain calm as he has no idea when and where he'll strike, he heard footsteps nearby as he fired off a round at that direction hoping to get him, but he missed. Clown steps backwards unaware that Prowler de-cloaks himself and appears from behind, his eyes widen as he quickly turns around to shoot, but Prowler used his claws to cut the revolver, he then side kick Clown hard as he gained the upper hand, Kid Arachnid is still cloaking himself to see Prowler walking towards Clown and has his claws ready to kill.
"You got balls coming after me, I'll give you that. Don't think that this act won't go unpunished." said Clown.
"Sorry, it's nothing personal, I just have a job to do." said Prowler.
Clown closes his eyes awaiting his death as Prowler swings his claws until he got kicked pretty hard by something invisible, Kid Arachnid suddenly appears out of nowhere, Prowler sees that he's the one who stopped him from killing Clown, the crime boss sees that he was just saved, he gets up and makes his escape, Prowler gets back up about to face off against Kid Arachnid who has other plans for him.
"Why did you stop me?" said Prowler not looking too happy.
"Cause I had to, do you realize what you were going to do?" said Kid Arachnid.
"Why do you care so much about me?" Prowler is confused.
"Cause you have a family who loves you, a nephew who looks up to you, do you really want to disappoint those you love by taking a person's life?" said Kid Arachnid.
"I don't want to kill anyone, but I have no choice." said Prowler.
"There's always a choice." said Kid Arachnid.
"Not always, not to me, my family's lives are at stake, I have a job to finish, and if you get in my way, I won't hesitate to do what needs to be done." Prowler aims his gauntlet.
"If that's how it has to be." said Kid Arachnid.
Kid Arachnid failed to convince Prowler to stop for the sake of his family, he can't believe that he'll have to fight against his uncle to stop him, Prowler fired off a pulse blast as Kid Arachnid jumps up and fires off some webbing, Prowler uses his claws to slice them before they could ever reach him, Prowler uses his boots to give him a boost up in the air and delivers a strong uppercut to Kid Arachnid who felt the pain, Prowler grabbed him and tossed him down towards the ground very hard. Kid Arachnid is lying on the ground in pain as he sees Prowler dropping down for a claw attack, Kid Arachnid suddenly turns invisible as Prowler's claws hits the ground, he miss his target. Prowler pulls his claw out the ground and looks around awaiting for Kid Arachnid to make his attack.
"Very clever, kid, but don't think your invisibility will be enough." said Prowler.
"I don't want to fight you!" said Kid Arachnid still invisible.
"I have no desire to fight you either, so leave now while you still can." said Prowler
"I can't do that, I'm sorry." said Kid Arachnid still invisible.
Prowler then switches to thermal, he's looking around to pick up a heat signature, he found one nearby, he figures that it's Kid Arachnid, he can hide his appearance but not his heat signature.
"So am I." Prowler aims his gauntlet.
Prowler fired off a pulse blast at Kid Arachnid who then jumps up and dodges the attack, somehow Prowler is able to find him, his invisibility is now useless against him, Prowler kept on firing off at Kid Arachnid swinging around the air to dodge his attack until one of them managed to hit him in the air, he fell down to the ground very hard all injured to get back up, Prowler managed to get the upper hand against Kid Arachnid who had bested him earlier today, but now the tables have turned, he walks up to the injured hero about to finish him off for interfering in his job for the Kingpin, Kid Arachnid tries to get back up but he's too injured and weak as Prowler is standing in front of him.
"You should've walked away while you still had a chance." said Prowler with his claws out.
"Don't do this, please." said Kid Arachnid.
"Sorry kid." Prowler felt bad for what he's about to do.
Prowler has his claws ready to kill Kid Arachnid right on the spot, Kid Arachnid failed to convince his uncle to turn his life around and now he's about to die by his hand, Prowler swings his claws down until his claws got webbed up all of a sudden, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider arrived just in the nick of time to save their teammate, Kid Arachnid is fortunate that his friends came to his rescue in time, Prowler removed the webbing from his claws as he's about to face off against two more spider heroes.
"You two again, big deal, I've beaten you both before and I can do it again just as easily." said Prowler.
"Don't count on it, Prowler, or should I say Aaron Davis." said Spider-Man.
Kid Arachnid is shocked to find out that Spider-Man knows that his Uncle Aaron is the Prowler, this is very bad for him as he kept this from them, but right now Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider are about to face off against Prowler as the supervillain fires off his pulse blast at the two heroes who then split up, Ghost-Spider swings around firing off webbing at the Prowler who then turned himself invisible, she missed her target. Spider-Man is on alert trying to get a read on Prowler's movements using his spider sense, all of a sudden Prowler sudden appears and charged at Spider-Man using his claws, Spidey summoned the web shield and protected himself against the plasma claw attack, Spider-Man then used the web shield to tackle Prowler back so hard, but the supervillain still remains standing on his feet despite Spider-Man's efforts. Prowler then switches to using his gauntlets to unleash a barrage of pulse blast as Spider-Man protects himself again with the web shield.
"That shield can't protect you forever." said Prowler.
"Good thing it doesn't have to." said Spider-Man.
Spider-Man then tossed the web shield hard like a projectile in the same fashion as Captain America, the shield hits Prowler so hard that it knocked him off his feet and he crashed his back against the wall hard, he lost consciousness upon impact as Ghost-Spider joined up next to Spider-Man, they webbed up Prowler together for good measure, the supervillain has finally been defeated and captured. Kid Arachnid gets back up on his feet to see that his uncle has been captured, but right now he's got other worries concerning his friends.
"Neat trick." said Ghost-Spider.
"Thanks, courtesy of my friend Captain America." said Spider-Man.
"Listen guys, I..." said Kid Arachnid.
"Not now, later." said Spider-Man.
Kid Arachnid noticed disappointment in Spider-Man's voice, Ghost-Spider still remains quiet as he could tell that neither of them are too happy with him since he kept the truth from them, Spider-Man walked up closer and removes Prowler's mask, everyone got to see the face of Aaron Davis behind it, Kid Arachnid is sadden that he had to be ones of the heroes responsible for bringing Aaron to justice for the crimes he's done.

The NYPD are outside the building arresting few members of the Tracksuit Mafia except for The Clown who had escaped earlier during the fight, Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider, and Kid Arachnid are on the rooftop from the other building, they see a squad car pulling up as Jefferson Davis climbs out to see officers bringing out his brother Aaron in handcuffs, he found out that his brother is the Prowler, Aaron looked across to see his brother looking at him all disappointed in him for his actions as the Prowler. Aaron failed his entire family for getting back into the criminal life when they believed in him, gave him a second chance and welcomed him back with open arms. Officers took Aaron to the squad car and put him in the back as he's under arrest for his crimes as the Prowler, Kid Arachnid is most affected by this as his uncle is going back to prison, his whole family is now broken.
In the underwater base, Doctor Octopus is looking deformed by his illness, he's already lost function to his legs, only his hands and arms are working for now, including his mechanical tentacles he uses to type the keyboard and control, he's been studying the footages of the Prowler in action against Spider-Man and his friends, he sees a potential candidate for his new team of supervillains, meanwhile Phineas Mason walked in to the lair as Doctor Octopus turns around looking disappointed in him due to a recent complication with the police which could've presented a bigger problem for him and his plans.
"So you got yourself caught, again." said Doctor Octopus.
"My apologies, Dr. Octavius." Tinkerer apologies to Doctor Octopus.
Doctor Octopus used his tentacle to grabbed Tinkerer by the neck and lift him up in the air, threatening his life.
"You're so lucky that Chameleon was able to disguise himself as a cop to bail you out of your problems. Do you have any ideas what could've happened if Spider-Man started digging into your life? He would've discover that your association with me and that would cause a huge complication in my master plan. If you get yourself into a situation like this ever again, then I will finish you off myself, is that clear?!" Doctor Octopus threatening Tinkerer.
"Yes..." Tinkerer is being choked.
Doctor Octopus then lets go of Tinkerer's neck and drops him down on the floor, he cough and breathing in air, Doctor Octopus then looked back to the screen as he has something else on his mind, the screens now shows Peter Parker, the photographer of the Daily Bugle who takes photos of Spider-Man, he now looks up his life as Tinkerer is confused as to why he's wants to know so much about a teenage photographer.
"What's your fascination with this Peter Parker?" said Tinkerer.
"Call it a hunch." said Doctor Octopus.
Doctor Octopus knows that Peter Parker has been knowns as the only photographer of Spider-Man and has been spotted at the sights where Spider-Man suddenly appears afterwards, but he's starting to suspect that there's more to it that everyone realized, he's started to connect the dots to everything related to Spider-Man, he's getting more closer to finding out the real truth of Peter Parker.
At Fisk Tower high up in the office occupied by the new CEO, Richard Fisk is on the phone speaking with his father concerning the recent failures Prowler couldn't complete against the crime bosses and now is in jail thanks to Spider-Man and his friends, he's now forced to cease his moves against them for the time being.
"I'm sorry father, Prowler couldn't follow through with the mission." said Richard Fisk.
"Relax my son, this is only a temporary setback, don't let this bring you down. If you are to be a powerful crime boss, start building up your empire from scratch, gain influence and form connections, in time you shall become the next Kingpin of Crime, don't ever give up, son." said Wilson Fisk.
"I won't fail you, father." said Richard Fisk.
Richard hangs up the phone and looks upon the city that his father once ruled with an iron fist as the Kingpin of Crime, now it's his turn to carry on what his father had started, he'll need to build up his empire very small and rise up in the shadows until he is powerful enough to rival or even surpass any rival syndicates, he takes on the name The Rose.
It's 10:40 PM at the Spider-Cave as Miles is walking down the tunnel, Peter and Gwen are chatting together talking about their broken trust in their friend who had withheld important information about the Prowler's true identity, he let his family ties blind him and pushed away his friends, they know what they need to do with Miles and it's a hard choice they made together. Peter and Gwen finally stopped talking as Miles finally arrived here in their headquarters, Miles has a lot of explaining to do as neither of them are too happy with him in what he did.
"You guys wanted to see me... Look, you both probably figured it out, I lied, I knew that Aaron was the Prowler the moment I saw his face and I didn't know what to do, I thought that I could handle this myself, try to give him a second chance, but I failed." said Miles.
"You should've told us, Miles." said Gwen.
"I know and I messed up, I'm sorry." said Miles.
"Good... but you off the team." Peter told Miles he's no longer part of their team.
"What? You can't be serious!" Miles couldn't believe it.
"We are, Miles, we can't work with you anymore." said Gwen.
"Look, I know that I screwed up, but this doesn't have to be like this." Miles trying to defend his actions.
"You violated our trust, Miles, you should've told us that your uncle is the Prowler and we would've understand, but you locked me and Gwen out. We can't work with someone who doesn't trust us, so like or not, you no longer part of this team." Peter made his decision before walking away from Miles.
"Hey, this doesn't have to end like this... HEY, I'M STILL TALKING TO YOU!" Miles raised his voice at Peter.
Peter turns around and walks back to Miles. "Right now, you're off the team! So leave your suit here and get out!"
Miles got angry as he pulled his suit from his backpack and tossed down on the ground.
"I don't need any of this, I don't any of you... I quit." Miles is mad at both Peter and Gwen.
Miles walked away from Peter and Gwen as he's been kicked off the team and stopped being Kid Arachnid, Miles lost their trust in him and he's now no longer part of their team, he's a hero no more, Peter and Gwen will have to continue their mission without him as they don't trust him anymore, the team is now broken up thanks to Miles's actions.
