Volume III: The Astonishing Ant-Man
Note: This will be the nineteenth chapter of Volume III, this will reintroduce Scott Lang who made his first appearance in the "Ant-Man and the Wasp" chapter, Scott is a professional thief who steals the Ant-Man suit from Pym Labs and plans to use it to commit a string of robberies all to help his daughter Cassie suffering from a serious heart condition. This will put him on Wasp's radar as she seeks out Spider-Man and ask to team up to catch this new Ant-Man. Meanwhile, Darren Cross becomes the villain as he built his own version of the Yellowjacket suit, he plans to make use it to exact his revenge on Hank Pym by destroying his legacy, Pym Labs. Scott will soon learn that there's more to life than just being a thief, this will be a first step in him becoming the hero he's destined to be, only time will tell.
It's March 8th, its 10:59 PM nighttime in Jersey City at Pym Lab, chief scientist Dr. Bill Foster is wearing the Goliath suit to test out again in the testing chamber as he's planning to test out it's capabilities once more, the suit is fully charged with Pym Particles as it activates it's function and he starts to grow out to enormous size right and continues to grow, meanwhile Janet Van Dyne, Hank's widow and current owner of Pym Labs steps into the lab to find Bill Foster in the Goliath suit all humongous and is maintaining his appearance. Bill is feeling happy that he's able to maintain being gigantic, that is until his suit's sensors started to beep unexpectedly, Bill is feeling the strains of being gigantic is causing to his body, he has no choice but to shrink back down to normal size, he suddenly collapsed on the ground as Janet rush to help him.
"Bill!" Janet got down and got a hold of Bill Foster. "Bill, are you okay?!"
Bill feeling the strain on his body. "Ah, I thought I had it this time."
Janet helps Bill up on his feet, sometime later Bill got changed into regular clothes as he takes the Goliath suit and stores it inside the glass case next to the Wasp suit along with the Ant-Man suit, Bill finished closing the glass case as he spotted Janet standing in front of the Ant-Man suit that was once wore by her husband the late Hank Pym, everytime she stares at it, she's reminded of her husband who had sacrificed his life saving the world from Ultron, she place her hand on the glass case with a sad expression, Bill opted to speak to make Janet feel better.
"You know, as smart as I am, I'm still not as good with Pym Particles like Hank was." Bill Foster said.
Janet teared up a bit. "I miss him."
"Me too, he was a great man." Bill Foster said.
Janet smiled as she wiped the tears off her eyes. "Okay, enough work for the night, it's getting late."
"Yeah, plus I'm starving, guess using the Pym Particles can take a lot out of you." Bill Foster is feeling famished.
"Lucky for you, I'm in the mood for some Thai, I know a decent Thai restaurant in Jersey City, come, I'm buying." Janet smiled.
Janet and Bill are leaving the lab for the night and shuts off the lights, one of the security guards salute Janet for the night as she and Bill walks out of the building. Janet drives off with Bill in her convertible, the car left the premises as unknown to anyone here, a mysterious figure dressed in black is sneaking through the front gate as it closes, whoever this guy is he's an expert in sneaking around. He hides himself behind some trees and pulls out the binoculars, he scouts out looking for security cameras and the guard's routine, he got eyes the securtiy door and spotted one of the guards typing in the codes to unlock the door, he memorized it and moves out, he slips on through the blindspots undetected without tripping any alarms, he made to the security door and types in the codes he memorized earlier, he unlocks the door and slips inside.
Inside the building itself, the mysterious thief managed to sneak inside avoiding the cameras, he made it to a hallway where they're hardly any security guards patrolling it, this is all too easy, he then switches to using his goggles to scan the hallways and picks up on motion sensors all around, he then moves in slowly and carefully as to not trip the sensors or the whole building will be on alert and lock down. He kept on moving through the sensor fields undetected until he finally reached the other side of the hallway and made it to the entrance to the restricted section of the building. He found the control panel that requires a keycard to access it, he pulls out a card scanner and slide it into the slot, the machine does the rest and scans until it finds the right scan code, the panel accepted and allows access.
The thief enters the restricted section of Pym Labs, he pulls out his flashlight to look around the place to find a terrarium filled with ants, including the winged ones, he then spotted a number of Pym Particles all stored in little containers both colored red and blue, he quickly takes as much as he could as he knows that it's the fuel to power up the suit, after he's done collecting as much as he can carry, he turns his attention towards the suits themselves, he found at least three, one is blue and white labelled still in testing called the Goliath suit, the other one is yellow and black equipped with wings and weapons modeled for a female called the Wasp suit, and last but not least is the red and black suit called the Ant-Man suit.
"There you are."
At the other end of the hallway, one of the security guards disarmed the sensors and made his way towards the lab, the thief heard footsteps coming down the hallway outside the lab, he starts to panic as if he gets spotted he's in serious trouble, he become desperate to find a way out quickly before someone finds him here, he then focuses on the Ant-Man suit and got an idea. The security guard finally arrived outside the door and uses his keycard to access the lab, he enters the lab and pulls out his flashlight to check if there's anything unusual, he sees absolutely nothing here, unknown to this man a flying ant is flying around in the room with someone very small riding on back, they fly out through the door and left the lab, this thief managed to put on the Ant-Man suit and made get use of it.
Meanwhile far outside of Pym Labs is a van with a Latino American man in the driver seat waiting patiently for his partner to come back, he hopes that his partner hasn't run into any kind of trouble or else he'll be locked up, he sighed and said "Come on, Scotty, where are you?", all of a sudden a man in a red suit appeared right before his eyes in front of the van as he screamed like a girl, this guy in the Ant-Man suit took off his helmet and showed off his face, it's his friend Scott Lang, a brown haired male about 36 years of age standing at 6" foot.
"Hey, hey, easy Luis, it's just me, Scott." Scott tries to calm his friend down.
Luis is still in shock. "Scotty? How did you do that?"
"I'll explain everything later, for now let's just get out of here before anyone noticed something is missing." Scott said.
Scott quickly climb in the van as Luis drives off after the heist was a success, Scott Lang now has the Ant-Man suit in his possession along with Pym Particles he'll need to fuel the suit, he takes out his wallet and pulls out a photo of himself with his then wife Peggy and their then 8 year old daughter Cassie Lang, he has a strong motivation for everything he's doing right now, all to help his daughter who needs help desperately.
It's March 9th at midnight around 3:45 PM at a privately funded lab somewhere in Jersey City by a mysterious benefactor, a scientist named Darren Cross is working on a newly recreated version of the Yellowjacket suit somewhat similar to the one worn by the late Hank Pym, the suit is currently being worn by a woman named Rita DeMara, an ex-con who is need of money has agreed to be the test subject for this secret project, Darren Cross is finishing making the final touches to the suit as it's ready to be test for the first time, he's loading up his version of the Pym Particles which is all yellow to be used to fuel the suit and all it's functions.
"Alright, the suit is all loaded and ready, let's begin." Darren Cross said.
Darren Cross took some steps back from Rita in the Yellowjacket for safety as she stays and stands in the middle of the room. Darren is at a safe distance as Rita is activating the Yellowjacket suit and began testing out it's capabilities, she then shrinks right before Darren's eyes and activates it's thrusters to hovers herself in the air in her miniature form, she flies around the room to find a number of objects placed for target practice, she extended the suit's four titanium limbs each equipped with energy stingers and fired off a few bolts to destroy the objects in her path, Darren is watching and is amazed that his own creation is turning out to be a great success, after finishing demonstrating the Yellowjacket's capabilities, Rita enlarged back to normal size.
Rita DeMara takes off the helmet. "How was that Dr. Cross?"
"Perfect, the test is a success, my creation is a masterpiece, even more so than the one me and Hank built together." Darren Cross is proud of his achievements.
"Hank, as in Hank Pym, the CEO of Pym Laboratories who disappeared last year and is now legally dead?" Rita DeMara said.
"The same, he and I worked on the original Yellowjacket together, Hank saw it as a tool to be used for the good of mankind, I on the other hand saw great value in this project, we could've made great money, but he refused and he had me fired, saying that I was too unstable, he had me shunned from the science committee, discredited. But thanks to a little funding from my mysterious benefactor, I was able to create a more powerful and enhanced version of the Yellowjacket that I shall use to exact my revenge on Hank Pym for all he did to me." Darren Cross is speaking with such madness in his voice.
Rita DeMara is stunned by Cross's level of hatred for Hank Pym.
"Alright, enough testing for the day, go and get changed out that suit." Darren Cross said.
Rita DeMara walks away from the testing chamber to go and change out of the Yellowjacket suit, Darren Cross has great plans for the suit itself, he plans to use it for himself to exact his revenge on Hank Pym by destroying his legacy, this technology will help Cross make that possible very soon.
It's morning time around 9:45 AM at a hospital in Jersey City, Scott Lang is making his way through the hallway until he passed by a gift shop, he stopped himself and walks backwards to enter the gift shop, later he came out with a vase full of flowers and a teddy bear. He continues on through the hallway looking room for room for someone particular of great importance to him, he eventually found a room with the name Cassandra Lang, he enters the room to find his daughter 12 year old Cassie Lang resting in the hospital bed, the girl suddenly opens her eye and gazed upon her father who she missed so long.
Cassie smiled with happiness. "Dad"
"Hey Peanut." Scott is happy to see his daughter again after so long. "My goodness, you've grown big a bit. How are you feeling, Cassie?"
"Not well, doctor said that I need to be bedridden until I can get my surgery, they say that my heart isn't doing so good." Cassie said
Scott is saddened but he remains hopeful. "You're going to get better, I promise."
Cassie gazed upon the gifts her father got for her. "Are those for me?"
"Oh yeah! Here!" Scott gave the gifts to his daughter Cassie.
Cassie took her gifts. "These are wonderful, thank you dad."
"I missed you." Scott teared up smiling.
"I missed you too, daddy." Cassie smiled and teared up.
Scott moved in closer as Cassie put aside her gifts, she and her father hugged after being reunited for so long since Scott's incarceration, meanwhile Cassie's mother and Scott's ex-wife Peggy Rae came into the room to see her ex-husband with her daughter, she's clearly not happy to see Scott since he got himself arrested and locked up, but she does her best to keep her feelings in check for her daughter's sake. Cassie then stopped hugging as she sees her mother, Scott turns around and sees his ex-wife again after so long, he knew that she's not happy to see him.
"Mom." Cassie said.
"Hey Sweetheart, I wanted to come and check on you, didn't know you had a visitor." Peggy Rae said.
"Hey Peggy, long time." Scott said.
"It sure has, Scott, excuse me." Peggy Rae said before leaving the room.
Scott could sense that Peggy still carries resentment towards him for his role in becoming a thief and left her to take care of their daughter all alone while he got locked up in prison. Scott then left his daughter behind to rest and he follows after Peggy walking down the hallway.
"Peggy, wait!" Scott said.
Peggy stops and turns around. "You got a lot of nerve coming to see your daughter."
"I have a right, I'm still her father." Scott protested back.
"You lost your right the moment you went to prison for theft, the moment you made Cassie a daughter of a criminal." Peggy Rae said.
"Peggy, what I did back then was to help our daughter, I could barely make a decent amount being an electrical engineer, our daughter needed the money for surgery, I did what I had to do for her survival." Scott defended his actions.
"Look what good that did, you ended up getting caught and sent away to Sing Sing for four years, you left me all alone to provide for our daughter, I had to give it my all to give her a good life. What can you give her now? Even though you're out, you're marked as a criminal, that's something you can never change, Scott." Peggy Rae said.
Scott didn't protest back and remains calm. "How bad is it with Cassie? Please Peggy, tell me?"
"Her condition has only gotten worse, she'll need surgery soon, but it's expensive and all my savings isn't enough to pay for it." Peggy Rae said.
"Peggy, if there's anything I can do..." Scott said.
"Do what? Go back to stealing again? Do you really think that Cassie needs her father to go back to a life of crime again? Is that how you want your daughter to remember you?" Peggy Rae said.
Peggy finished saying everything she needed to say as she walks away from her ex-husband, Scott is still stunned to learned that his daughter doesn't have much time left, it is as he feared, the last thing he wants to do is go back to being a theft, but he needs the money for his daughter's surgery desperately, he now has something that can help him get the money he needs for his daughter.
The time is 10:04 AM at Pym Laboratories, both Janet and Bill came early to see that one of the suits has gone missing, the Ant-Man suit along with Pym Particles, clearly someone was her last night and broke in here to steal valuable tech, her husband's tech, Janet is take this too personally as it once belonged to the late Hank Pym who was the last person to wore the suit before he switched over to the Yellowjacket suit, she'll do anything to get it back where it belongs, Janet and Bill are speaking with one of the security guards who was patrolling here last night to explain everything.
"Are you sure you didn't see anything out of the ordinary? Anything suspicious?" Janet said.
"No, nothing at all ma'am, everything seemed fine."
"Alright, that'll be all, thank you." Janet said.
The security guard walks away leaving Janet and Bill alone to talk about the theft of the Ant-Man suit.
"Clearly the suit didn't just walk out on it's own." Bill Foster said.
"Agreed, this was theft, they knew exactly what to steal, this isn't the first time someone tried to get their hands on this technology." Janet said.
"You think someone attempted to steal it again?" Bill Foster said.
"That's what I'm going to find out, I'll find whoever stole my husband's suit and bring it back where it belongs." Janet said.
"Janet, this guy has the same tech you have, you'll need some help to apprehend this guy. Know any who can help?" Bill Foster said.
"I can think of one." Janet has an idea on someone.
Later around 10:45 AM at an apartment complex, Scott Lang is walking up the stairs until he made it to the floor and made his way through the hallway until he reached the apartment where he's been staying since he got out of prison, Luis is in the middle of making waffles until he spotted his friend coming in with a not-so-good look on his face, Scott is more worried for his daughter since she's in desperate need of surgery but lacks the money to pay for it.
"Hey Scotty, how's your kid?" Luis said.
"She seems to be doing fine, but it's not." Scott said.
"Dang, it's that bad, huh?' Luis said.
"Her condition has gotten worse these past four years, she'll need surgery very soon and I don't have the money to provide it, at least not yet." Scott said.
Scott walked over to the duffel bag and pulls out the Ant-Man suit he stole last night and used very recently, he holds up the helmet as Luis is still unfamiliar with this thing Scott has stolen.
"So what was that you did last night, Scotty? You suddenly appearing right before my eyes." Luis said.
"I shrunk down to the size of an ant thanks to the suit, it has the capability of shrinking or enlarging anyone who wears it." Scott explained of the Ant-Man suit.
"How is it that you know so much about this stuff?" Luis said.
"Last year when I was about to be transferred back to Sing Sing, I met someone who told me stories about this shrinking tech that is beyond anything possible, he told me who made it and where I could find it. At first I thought he was raving mad from the way he looked, that is until I watched the news about a hero who can shrink at will, that's when I realized that this technology actually exists. When I got out, I did my research on Hank Pym and learned that he's an expert in quantum theory, so whatever he did must've made this technology for the Wasp, so I decided to borrow this technology for myself." Scott explained the story.
"Wow, that's amazing, Scott, you can do anything with it, you can sneak into places and take what you want." Luis said.
"That's what I plan to do, for my daughter, I'd do anything to save her life." Scott looking upon the Ant-Man helmet.
Scott plans to use this tech to steal enough money to help pay for his daughter's surgery, as a father, he's willing to do anything to save his daughter from death, even break a few laws, he still needs to familiarize himself with this technology before he can pull of any heists, he only understands the shrinking part and the ant manipulation, but he still needs to understand the suit more better to make full use of it's capabilities.
The time is 12:25 PM at the Spider-Cave, Peter, Gwen, and Miles are all on the mat practicing their combat skills on the bob dummies while Ganke is still on the supercomputer to check for any sign of trouble in case the heroes are needed, Peter strikes with an uppercut, Gwen execute a push kick, and lastly Miles does the one inch punch but only he puts too much strength in his strike that it sent the dummy flying across the room, Peter, Gwen, and Ganke all saw the dummy all banged up from that single strike.
"Miles, remember, don't put too much strength in your strikes, if you face against a normal foe, the full force of your strike will be fatal, understand?" Peter told Miles not to do too much.
"Sorry, guess I got carried away a bit." Miles said.
"Okay, but please don't get carried away again, especially in real life combat." Peter said.
All of a sudden everyone here heard a car honking it's horn, Ganke looked at the screen to see a brunette woman in a convertible just outside of the entrance, Peter, Gwen, and Miles immediately recognizes her as Janet Van Dyne, a member of the Avengers called the Wasp.

Sometime later, Peter came out of the Spider-Cave to meet up with Janet to see what brings her here and what she wants.
"Janet, it's been a while." Peter greeted Janet.
"It sure has Peter." Janet said.
"How'd you find this place?" Peter is curious.
"Tony told me, I asked him where I could find you." Janet said.
"So what brings the Winsome Wasp here to me?" Peter said.
"I need your help." Janet said.
"What kind of help?" Peter said.

Later everyone is inside the Spider-Cave as Janet is sitting and looking around the place where Spider-Man and his friends operate from, this is actually the first time she seen the place, Gwen came and delivers a cup of tea to Janet to take, she's about to explain everything that's happened recently.
"Thank you." Janet takes her cup of tea and takes a sip.
"You said you need my help, with what exactly?" Peter said.
"Very well, I'll get right to the point, just last night someone broke into Pym Labs and stole the Ant-Man suit." Janet said.
"Wait, the Ant-Man suit is gone?" Gwen said.
"What's an Ant-Man." Miles is unfamiliar with that name.
Peter sighed. "Hank Pym was the original Ant-Man before he became Yellowjacket, the one who gave his life to save the world from Ultron."
"That suit is all that is left of Hank, it's his life's work and yet someone managed to steal it from right under our noses." Janet said.
"Not the first time someone tried to get their hands on Hank's tech, do you think that it's was O'Grady and Carson again?" Peter said.
"The though had crossed my mind, but I've already contacted S.H.I.E.L.D., Mitch Carson is still locked up in their prison and Eric O'Grady is still in Ravencroft suffering from the side effects of the Pym Particles, neither of them are involved. But whoever did it knew exactly what they're looking for, besides taking the suit they've even stolen some Pym Particles." Janet said.
"They know those particles are the only things needed to power the suit." Peter said.
"The Ant-Man suit is still a powerful weapon, my husband dedicated his life to keep it from falling into the wrong hands, I need your help to find it, please." Janet asking Peter for his help.
Peter nodded his head. "I'll help you, Janet, Hank was my friend too and we're going to find whoever stole his suit and get it back no matter what."
Janet smiled. "Thank you, Peter."
Peter turns to Gwen and Miles. "You both think you can look after the city in my absence?"
"Of course." Gwen said.
"Don't worry, we got this, go and help your friend." Miles assured Peter.
"Thank you, alright, let's go Janet." Peter said.
Peter takes his backpack with his suit inside it and follows Janet out of the Spider-Man as they're about to team up together to search for the stolen Ant-Man suit and bringing it back to where it belongs.
The time is 1:13 PM at the apartment complex as Luis is climbing up the stairs and finally reached his apartment, he opens it and got spooked to find Scott in the Ant-Man suit sitting down on the floor with his legs crossed surrounded by an army of ants all around in a circle with Scott in the middle, Luis has no idea what's is going on here, Scott is using the helmet to practice manipulate the ants as they can prove useful in his ventures.
"Whoa! What's with the ants, Scotty?" Luis said.
"Relax, these are my new friends, they're quite harmless unless I make them otherwise." Scott said.
Scott used the helmet to command the ants, Luis watched as the ants are scattering away going in separate directions.
"How are you doing that?" Luis is impressed.
"This helmet I'm wearing is able to communicate with the ants and bend them to my will, in words I can make them do what I want as you can see." Scott said.
"Amazing, anyway, I was able to find you a score, there's this small bank downtown where some money is stored inside a vault, the money is insured in case of any robbery, I got the schematics for you to look over, this should be an easy score for you, Scotty." Luis hands Scott the schematics.
Scott looks over the schematics. "This'll do, thanks Luis. I'm not looking to steal a lot, just enough to pay for my daughter's surgery."
"I hope you know what you're getting into, you have a second chance now that you're free, are you sure you still want to go through with this?" Luis said.
"I would take a regular job or two to earn real money without having to break some laws, but my daughter doesn't have much time to wait for me to earn, it's not like the banks are going to give a loan to an ex-con with a criminal record for theft. When it comes to my daughter, I'd be willing to die for her, if I have to face any consequences for my actions, it's a price I'd be willing to pay." Scott said.
"Wow, you're a real John Q, Scotty." Luis said.
"Okay, let's look over the schematics and sees what we're up against." Scott said.
Scott and Luis look over the schematics of a bank here in Jersey City, he found that despite being a small bank, it's loaded with one hell of a security system, he's looking for any possible entry ways as well as blindspots to avoid any security cameras, but he has something in mind for the cameras themselves to keep them blind, they're about to pull of a heist very soon.
It's now 2:11 PM at the private lab Darren Cross occupies, the scientist himself is giving Rita DeMara a brieftcase full of cash for her services in testing the Yellowjacket suit, now that the test was a success, he can use it himself to exact his revenge on Hank Pym for everything he's done to him.
"Here you go, 50,000 dollars in cash as promised." Darren Cross paid Rita DeMara.
"Are you sure you don't need me anymore? I'm kinda getting attached to that suit." Rita DeMara said.
"I'm sure, I can take from here." Darren Cross said.
Rita DeMara took her briefcase full of money. "Well, if you every change your mind, you know how to reach me?"
Rita DeMara walks away with her money as Darren Cross walks and stands before his creation as he has big plans for it.
"Finally, the moment has arrived, now I have the means to exact my revenge on Hank Pym for destroying my life, I shall destroy everything he has built, starting with his precious company, Pym Laboratories. With his company gone, I shall be the only one with the means in creating Pym Particles, or should I say Cross Particles. Once I amassed enough wealth, I shall create my very own company, Cross Technologies does have a nice ring to it." Darren Cross speaking to himself.
Darren Cross took his suit and started to dress himself up in his very own creation, the Yellowjacket suit is being fueled up with enough Pym Particles for a big fight ahead, later he's all finished putting on the suit and became the new Yellowjacket, he checks himself in the mirror to see the suit fits perfectly well and he likes it.
"Now I feel complete, like we were made for each other, look out Pym Laboratories, there's a new Yellowjacket in town." Darren Cross became Yellowjacket.
The time is 2:46 PM in Jersey City, at a convenience store on the corner of the street called Circle Q, Janet is waiting outside standing in front of her car as Peter is already inside, he's filling up the cup full of soda and already got himself a hot dog, after he's done getting everything he needs to eat, he walks up to the register where a fourteen year old teenage employee with the name tag "B. Carrelli" is at the register, Peter placed the items he's about to buy here as Carrelli is typing in the register to get the exact price for all two items together.
"Alright, that'll be 3 dollars and 89 cents for a combo." Bruno Carrelli said.
Peter pulls out his money and gave him five dollars. "Here, keep the change."
"Thanks, come again." Bruno Carrelli said.
Peter is walking out of the store with the snacks he's bought as he passed by a fourteen year old girl of Pakistani descent playing on the arcade nearby and drinking her soda from the straw, Janet is still waiting outside holding up a tablet connected to what appears to be a scanner trying to get a read on something, Peter is coming out drinking soda with a straw and leaned himself against the car door about to eat his hot dog.
Peter is chewing his food and swallowed it. "So what's the plan to finding the suit? I thought that Hank would LoJack his tech after that Black Ant incident."
"He did, but whoever stole the suit disabled the tracker, they knew exactly what they were doing. Fortunately, Hank created another way to trace it, he built this scanner specifically designed to track Pym Particles when it's in use, the moment someone starts using it, we'll know." Janet shows Peter the scanner.
"Genius, Hank always thinks of everything." Peter is impressed.
"He sure does." Janet is saddened by hearing Hank's name and thinks about him.
Peter noticed it. "I'm sorry if I mentioned Hank, I know what this means to you."
"It's okay, Peter... this is why I need to get the suit back, it's all I have left of Hank, he put his heart into making it, it's his crown jewel, I just can't let someone go around wearing it and ruining Hank's legacy, he deserved better." Janet said.
"He does, Hank is one of the bravest men I've ever know, none of us would've been alive if he hadn't make the ultimate sacrifice, thanks to him the world still keeps on spinning and everyone got to live their lives. We're going to do him proud, I promise Janet." Peter said.
Janet smiled. "Who'd ever thought? The Spider and the Wasp working together."
All of a sudden the scanner is beeping as it's picking up Pym Particles being used recently nearby.
"Finally, a lead, and it's nearby here in the city." Janet holding up the tablet.
"Let's go." Peter said.
Peter finished up his hot dog and quickly hopped into the convertible with Janet driving away to follow the signal to the source, they're about to face off against the theft who took the Ant-Man suit.
Later in Downtown Jersey City a van is parked in the alleyway to hide itself from anyone, Luis is inside the van with an earpiece on lookout and in the driver seat in case of a getaway is needed for a quick escape, he's looking at the bank far across at the end of the street, meanwhile Scott Lang is dressed up in the Ant-Man suit and is riding on the flying ant in miniature form, both are flying over the rooftop as he found an air vent to use to infiltrate the bank easily, he and the flying ant flew on through the vent and descent down into the building itself trying to be careful as to avoid the fans inside the vent trying not to get sliced up in pieces.
Deep inside the building a single security guard is patrolling around the hallway where the vault is located, Ant-Man is still in miniature form looking through the vent hiding himself to see one of the bank employees is walking down towards the vault itself and arrived at the control panel to type in the codes to the vault, Ant-Man is watching and memorizing the codes being used, the vault door opens up as the employee enters the vault itself for a routine check, so far nobody noticed that someone is here only very small is hiding nearby, Ant-Man is successful in infiltrating the bank so far unnoticed.
After the employee is done with the routine inspection of the vault, he along with the security guard closed the vault door and walked away, heading back to the main room, Ant-Man spotted the security cameras eyeballing the vault itself, he then uses his helmet to command the ants nearby, a group of ants came out and started to crawl themselves onto the camera lens and blocking the views, the security room monitoring the vault are having trouble seeing anything because of the ants obscuring the view with one of them saying, "Damn ants."
Meanwhile Ant-Man jumps down from the vent and enlarged himself to normal size, he looks to see the ants are doing their jobs in blinding the cameras for a time, but he'll need to move fast before someone comes in to get rid of the bugs. He quickly moves towards the panel and types in the codes he recently memorized from the bank employee, he was successful in opening the vault without difficulty as he gazed upon the money stored here.
"Talk to me, Scotty." Luis said.
"Jackpot." Ant-Man is smiling behind the helmet.
"Okay, take what you can carry and get out fast." Luis said.
Ant-Man sees that each of the bags are too full and too heavy for him to carry all by himself, he pulls out Pym Particles from his belt, red in particular for shrinking, he tossed a few at a few bags and they all shrinks down to smaller size, Ant-Man lowered himself down to pick up the miniature bags of money that are now easier for him to carry, he then heard footsteps coming down the corner of hallway, people are coming his way. He quickly rushed out of the vault and closed it tight, the footsteps are getting more closer, he shrunk himself down to miniature size before anyone came and spotted him, the ants on the cameras all dispersed as the flying ant came down and Ant-Man quickly hopped on and flies away, the security guard came down to see there's nothing unusual going on here, the ants are already gone from the cameras as Ant-Man is flying back through the vents to the outside.
The flying ant carrying Ant-Man finally made it outside, Ant-Man got off the ant and enlarged himself back to normal size with the shrunken bags of money he just stolen recently, now he's got the capital needed to pay for his daughter's surgery, but his escape became more complicated as he turns around to find Spider-Man and Wasp together on the rooftop looking at the new Ant-Man who made use of the suit.
"Oh crap." Ant-Man said.
"What's wrong, Scotty?" Luis said.
"Got company." Ant-Man removes the helmet and introduces himself. "Hi, I'm Scott!"
"Did you just say 'Hi, I'm Scott?'" Luis said.
"Just wanted to say, I'm big fans of you both." Scott being silly.
"Appreciate it, so what's your story? What have you stolen?" Spider-Man said.
"Why do you say that I've stolen something?" Scott said.
"Because we're standing over a bank and you've just used Pym Particles recently, particles that we've traced to here, I'm guessing you've just committed a bank robbery." Spider-Man said.
"Okay, I know what this looks like, but I'm not a criminal." Scott said.
"Really, causing stealing from the bank is technically a crime." Spider-Man said.
"I'm not stealing, merely borrowing the cash, it's for a good cause." Scott said.
"Whatever it is, you can tell it to the judge, but after we take the suit back, so hand it over." Wasp demands the suit back.
"Ah... no, not yet." Scott refused.
"Okay, then we'll just take it back then. Spider-Man, care to do the honor?" Wasp said.
Spider-Man walks up to Scott Lang as the thief puts the helmet back on and became Ant-Man, Spider-Man is reaching his hand out to take back the suit.
"Sorry to have to do this." Ant-Man shrinks himself down.
Spider-Man missed as Ant-Man jumps up and attacks the hero with an uppercut, Spidey got knocked off the ground hard, Wasp is surprised by how much mastery this new Ant-Man has with the suit, she shrinks herself down to fight this new Ant-Man on equal terms, Wasp is flying around with her wings as Ant-Man is attempting to escape while small, Wasp fired off her energy blast right in his escape path, Ant-Man stops to see Wasp hovering in the air.
"Wow, the wings are cool." Ant-Man is impressed.
Wasp aiming her stinger. "Last chance, hand over the suit!"
"Don't think my new friend would agree with you." Ant-Man said.
"Your new friend?" Wasp is confused.
All of a sudden, Wasp got attacked by a flying ant Ant-Man was flying on and is under his command, Wasp is having trouble shaking off this ant.
"Say hello to my little friend, I call him Ant-thony." Ant-Man said.
Wasp is doing her best to hold off Ant-thony while Ant-Man enlarged himself back to normal size, but he got surprised by Spider-Man who tossed in a hook and punched the man back against the wall, Ant-Man quickly attempts to shrink himself down using the button on his gloves, but Spidey webbed up both his hands to keep him from using the Pym Particles, Ant-Man temporarily lost his ability to shrink. Wasp then enlarged herself back up to normal size as she and Spider-Man captured the new Ant-Man.

At the same time just outside of Pym Laboratories, Darren Cross dressed up in the Yellowjacket suit is gazing upon the company he used to work for, the one built by Hank Pym, the man he hated the most, now his moment of revenge has arrived, the place is packed full of people working at the place peacefully, that is until now.
Yellowjacket chuckles. "I hope you're watching from wherever you are, Hank, cause I'm about to destroy everything with your name on it."
Yellowjacket used the suit to enlarge himself to gigantic size as everyone in the area all looked up to see a giant, Yellowjacket chuckles as he pulls out his titanium limbs and began firing upon the ground, making people panic in fear as they scatter away, Yellowjacket still chuckles as to him he sees many people down below as ants for him to crush without care, he fires his laser to destroy all the vehicles in the parking lot causing so much destruction.
Inside the building itself, Dr. Bill Foster is still working in the lab until he heard the alarm has tripped, he stopped his work as to wonder what's going on, he walks out of the lab to see many employees running down the hallway evacuating the building. He heard what appears to be explosions coming from the outside, he rushed over to the computer and tapped into the security system to get a visual on what's happening outside, he looked at live footage of someone dressed in yellow causing destruction outside of the building and terrorizing innocent people. Bill looks around and spotted the Goliath suit store in the glass case, he can't stand by and wait for Wasp to come back, he won't sit back and watch as innocent lives are in immediate danger, he decided to act before it's too late.

Spider-Man and Wasp has apprehended the new Ant-Man who was recently defeated thanks to their teamwork, Wasp took off the Ant-Man helmet to gaze upon the face of the thief who's wearing her husband's suit, Scott could see that she's clearly not too happy with him wearing the suit.
"Okay, you caught me, I'm sorry I borrowed..." Scott said.
"Stole!" Janet corrects the sentence.
"Fine, I'm sorry I stole the suit." Scott said.
"My husband built that suit to be used for the good of mankind, to change the world, you on the other hand only used it to commit thief and stealing money, you're a disgrace to the very name Ant-Man, you don't deserve to wear that suit let alone take up the mantle." Janet said.
"I admit what I did was wrong, but I had my reasons, I needed the money to help someone I love desperately." Scott justified his actions.
"So why not take out a loan instead of stealing?" Spider-Man said.
"It's still a lot of money needed, and I don't have the time to wait." Scott said.
"So you rather steal than earn." Spider-Man said.
"As long as the means justify the ends, I'm good with that." Scott said.
"Look Scott, I get needing money for the right reasons, but not like this. That suit you're wearing was worn by a great man who once gave up his life to save the world from total destruction, he used that power to save so many lives and made a great difference. With that suit, you've been given a great power, you could've been so much more than just a thief, rather than taking from everyone, you've could give." Spider-Man said.
Scott listened to Spider-Man's words, he knows that he made so many mistakes for the right reason and it cost him his freedom and his life beside his daughter Cassie, he was given a second chance to do right, but instead he's still repeating the same mistakes he made before and now he's paying the price for it as he's now at the hands of Spider-Man and Wasp. All of a sudden, Wasp is getting a call from her phone from her utility belt, it's Bill Foster calling her, she answered the call as unknown to either heroes, Scott has a blade hidden in his suit as he's slowly cutting off the webbing from his hands without the heroes noticing it.
"Bill, we've finally caught the thief and got back the suit, everything is..." Wasp said.
"Janet, that's not why I'm calling you, there's a situation here at Pym Labs, something very big is attacking here." Bill Foster sounded troubled.
"What do you mean something very big?" Wasp said.
"It's going to sound crazy, but it's someone large dressed in what appears to be copied version of the Yellowjacket suit. I'm going to go out there and hold him off alone until you get here." Bill Foster said.
"Hold him off how?" Wasp said.
"I'm wearing the Goliath suit, I'm going to fight him on equal terms and size." Bill Foster said.
"Bill no! It's suicide, you're still in recovery, your body may not be able to handle the strains of the Pym Particles again, you could die." Wasp said.
"I don't have a choice, If I do nothing, many people are going to die, I'll do my best to hold him off until everyone is safe, but you better get yourself here as soon as possible." Bill Foster said.
"Okay Bill, we're on our way back." Wasp hangs up.
"What's up?" Spider-Man said.
"Trouble at Pym Labs, someone in a Yellowjacket suit is causing havoc." Wasp said.
"Yellowjacket?" Spider-Man is confused.
"I know, this caught me by surprise too, the last thing I needed is another nutjob taking up my husband's mantle." Wasp said.
All of a sudden, Scott got freed from the webbing and took back the helmet, he puts it back on and surprised the heroes.
"Sorry to bail on you, but I'm needed elsewhere, bye!" Ant-Man pressed the button.
Ant-Man shrinks down and hops onto Ant-thony, Spider-Man and Wasp sees the Ant-Man escaping from them.
"He's getting away!" Spider-Man said.
"Let him go, Spidey, we'll deal with him another time, right now there are people at Pym Labs who needs our help right now." Wasp said.
"Right, let's get going." Spider-Man said.
Spider-Man and Wasp will have to abandon pursuing Ant-Man as they're in a rush to get to Pym Laboratories to help the people over there who are in immediate danger. Meanwhile Ant-Man is flying on Ant-thony heading towards the alley where Luis is still waiting in the van, he enters though the passenger side window and enlarged himself to normal size right before Luis' eyes and scared him, Scott takes off the helmet.
"AH! You really gotta stop doing that, Scotty!" Luis got spooked.
"Sorry, drive!" Scott turns to Luis. "Drive, we gotta go!"
Luis start the engines and drove away from the alley, Scott looked through the pocket to see that he still has the money he stole from the bank, he had a recent confrontation with Spider-Man and Wasp, but he was successful in escaping from their grasp with the suit and the cash, though he was just lucky that the heroes let him escape as they got bigger problems to deal with than him.
At the same time back at Pym Laboratories, Yellowjacket is still causing havoc all around the place as many lives are in immediate danger, everyone rushed back into the building to avoid the chaos, Bill Foster is walking out of the building wearing the Goliath suit about to have a confrontation with this new Yellowjacket even though he still in recovery from recent Pym Particles usage in gigantic form, but none of that is going to stop him from saving lives from this monster. Yellowjacket spotted someone down below him in a hi tech suit just like his, he immediately recognized him as Bill Foster.
"Bill Foster, we meet again." Yellowjacket said.
"That voice. Who are you?" Bill Foster said.
"Don't you remember your old colleague? It's me, Darren Cross." Yellowjacket revealed his identity.
"Cross, I should've known, still a mad scientist as always." Bill Foster said.
"That was all Hank's doing, instead of seeing the value in this research, he chose to keep it to himself. Now I have the power to destroy everything Hank has built, I will destroy his legacy." Yellowjacket said.
Bill Foster puts on the helmet and enlarged himself to gigantic size to match Yellowjacket's current size, now he's as big as Yellowjacket, he has become Goliath.
"Over my dead body, Cross. Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" Goliath said.
"Fine with me." Yellowjacket tossed the first punch.
Goliath got hit in the face but still remains standing as the people inside Pym Labs are watching through the window to see the duel of the giants happening outside, Goliath strikes back with a hook to Yellowjacket's face and knocked him off his feet and fell down on his back creating a huge shake on the ground, Goliath is walking up towards Yellowjacket as he gained the upperhand on him, but Yellowjacket quickly counterattacks with his stingers from his limbs and blasted Goliath back. Goliath is feeling the pain of those stings, but he shakes it off and still remains fight, but he's starting to feel the effects of the Pym Particles doing to his body, Goliath is feeling the pain and the exhaustion, but he still continues fighting Yellowjacket despite it, even Yellowjacket is starting to notice as he get back up on his feet.
"What's the matter? Feeling tired out?" Yellowjacket said.
Goliath is feeling weaken. "Not enough, I still enough energy to kick your ass!"
Yellowjacket is becoming daring. "Bring it!"
Goliath tossed in a punch but Yellowjacket used his arm to block and counterattacks with an uppercut, knocking Goliath back as he's about to crash against the building where a lot of people are taking shelter from the battle, everyone is backing away as Goliath is tumbling this way and crashed the windows, send shards of glass upon the room, everyone inside took cover underneath the desks and tables to cover themselves. Goliath is getting back up on his feet to see the damage his impact caused the building, but luckily nobody inside got killed, but he's starting to feel more weaker than ever before, it's only a matter of time until he loses consciousness and falls down.
"You're out of your league, Goliath. Even with the suit, you're still no match for me, my suit is more advanced in every way." Yellowjacket said.
"I don't care, I'll fight to my last breath to protect everyone, even if it kills me to do it." Goliath showing heroism.
Goliath is feeling tired out but he still remains standing ready to fight to protect the people here, he and Yellowjacket got back into the fight. Far outside of the premise, news reporters and crewmen are recording the event happening at Pym Laboratories, two giants duking it out on their grounds.
(Other Side of Jersey City)
Luis is still driving the van with Scott riding shotgun, they're trying to get as far away as possible with the money Scott has stolen from the bank as to not get caught again this time, he still has a daughter to save, meanwhile the van's radio is playing the news of the events at Pym Laboratories, Scott is listening to everything happening there.
"This is crazy here at Pym Laboratories, we got two giants here trading fists with one another causing so much destruction to the property, it is unknown as to why these events are happening here, but there are a number of civilians trapped inside unable to escape from the chaos, is there any hope for these workers?"
Scott is listening. "Luis, stop the van!"
"What?" Luis is still driving.
"Stop the van right now!" Scott raised his voice.
Luis hits the brakes and stopped the van in it's place as Luis has no idea what's going on with Scott.
"What's wrong, Scotty?" Luis is confused.
Scott had to hear all the dangers the people at Pym Laboratories are currently facing right now, Scott maybe a thief but he still has a conscious and can't bear to walk away while innocent lives are in real danger. He has the suit and the power to help them, but he knows the risk he'll have to take if he goes through with helping them, he'll end up losing his freedom along with his chances of helping Cassie in need of surgery, Scott is feeling conflicted in what to do, but he knows that he needs to follow his heart and do what he feels is right, but what choice will he make.

Everyone is still watching the fight happening outside as Goliath is finally gaining the upperhand against Yellowjacket tossing in hooks and crosses, overwhelming him with powerful strikes that Yellowjacket is unable to counterattack, Goliath punched Yellowjacket so hard in the face that he made the supervillain fall down on his back. Yellowjacket is finally down and vulnerable, this is moment for Goliath to neutralize him, he was about to make his move until he felt his body all tired out, he finally reached his limits. Yellowjacket sees that Goliath is finally all tired out, he took the moment to counterattack with his titanium limbs and unleashed a couple of powerful energy blasts, Goliath got blasted back hard and fell down to the ground, Goliath is about to lose consciousness but not before he shrinks himself back down to normal size, Bill Foster is finally all tired out and sleeps as Yellowjacket is getting back up and still a threat to everyone here.
"Looks like you've reached your limit, I must admit you've lasted longer than before. But now this is where we part ways for go." Yellowjacket raised his foot up above an unconscious Goliath. "Goodbye, old friend."
Yellowjacket thrust his foot down to stomp Goliath like a bug, but a webbing was fired at Goliath and got pulled away right before he got crushed and killed, Yellowjacket missed and sees that Spider-Man is the one who saved Goliath's life in time. Meanwhile Wasp is still flying around behind Yellowjacket's back unnoticed as she attempts to pull the trick she once used against Black Ant, she tries to find an opening in the harness but she couldn't and the metal is titanium. Yellowjacket unleashed his limbs and fired upon Spider-Man, the hero took Goliath and swings away trying to avoid the laser blast.
"Wasp, have you found it yet?" Spider-Man still swing around.
Wasp still in miniature form behind Yellowjacket's back. "Damnit, I can't get through, this thing is made out of solid titanium!"
Yellowjacket chuckles. "Did you really think I leave out any weaknesses to be exploited? I know about your trick against Black Ant, I'm afraid that trump card is useless against me."
"I know that voice... Darren Cross" Wasp said.
"So you remember me, I'm touched." Yellowjacket said.
Spider-Man got Goliath to safety. "You know this guy?"
"His name is Darren Cross, he was one of the designers besides Hank in the Yellowjacket project, until Hank fired him." Wasp said.
"If only that's all he did to me, he had me shunned, discredited, he destroyed my name and reputation." Yellowjacket said.
"You wanted to exploit his life's work for profit, but that wasn't enough for you, I see that you have corrupted his research by building your own version." Wasp said.
"And now I will use it to destroy everything Hank has built, including his company." Yellowjacket said.
"Like hell you are!" Wasp then enlarged herself to gigantic size. "You'll have to go through me!"
Yellowjacket chuckles. "I can do that."
Wasp throws in the first punch as Yellowjacket uses his arms to block, he then counterattacks with his limbs by blasting back Wasp hard, Spider-Man left Goliath behind to go and help Wasp in the fight, he swings up towards Yellowjacket's head as the giant spotted the webslinger coming up his way, he swings his arm to hit the hero, but Spidey is too fast for him in his gigantic state. Wasp fights back with a energy blast of her own and destroyed one of the limbs, he only got three limbs left functional, Spidey crawls around onto Yellowjacket's helmet.
"AH... Get off!" Yellowjacket said.
Yellowjacket's hand is attempting to take Spider-Man off his helmet, but the hero jumped away before he got grabbed, meanwhile Wasp got back up and charged in for a flying knee strike and knocked Yellowjacket off his feet and he fell back down. Spider-Man and Wasp are gaining the upper hand against Yellowjacket, Darren Cross is troubled that a couple of superheroes are getting the best of him, he can't let himself be beaten and lose this opportunity at revenge.
"Surrender Cross, you've lost!" Wasp said.
"NEVER!" Yellowjacket screams out loud.
Yellowjacket unleashed a barrage of energy blast from his limbs upon Wasp as she's getting seriously hurt, Spider-Man is doing his best to evade all the incoming fire but he eventually got hit by one of the energy beams and fell down to the ground. Wasp is still feeling hurt by the laser barrage, she tries to shake off the pain, but Yellowjacket gets back up and strikes back with a knee strike to her stomach, causing more pain to the heroine, then he strikes with an uppercut to her helmet and knocked her on her back, she crashed down on the ground as she shrinks herself down to normal size, Spider-Man is still hurt as he spotted Wasp is down back to regular size, he gets up and rushed to her side to help her. Wasp is waking up in Spider-Man's arms as they heard footsteps and looked up to see Yellowjacket standing tall.
Yellowjacket chuckles. "I just wanted to destroy Hank's company, but to kill his widow is even better. Too bad he isn't here to help you, not to worry, you'll be joining him soon enough, Goodbye, Mrs. Pym."
Yellowjacket raised his foot up about to stomp down on Spider-Man and Wasp for the kill, Spider-Man is still too injured by that blast along with Wasp, both heroes are powerless to escape from Yellowjacket's mercy, they await their inevitable deaths by his hands, everyone inside the building are terrified that both heroes are about to be killed off by this giant. Yellowjacket is about to kill off the heroes until someone behind him is poking his shoulder getting his attention.
"Ah, excuse me!" Ant-Man said.
Yellowjacket turns around and came face to face with Ant-Man who is now Giant-Man.
"Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" Ant-Man tightened his fist.
Giant-Man tossed the first punch and knocked Yellowjacket down to the ground, Spider-Man and Wasp all looked up to see that Scott Lang is here and he just saved both their lives, everyone inside the building spotted a giant man in red outside who just punched the bad guy down to the ground, Giant-Man looked down to see Spider-Man and Wasp are both okay, he was able to save them just in time.
"Are you both alright?" Giant-Man looking down at the heroes.
"Yeah, we're good, thanks for the help." Spider-Man looks up at Giant-Man.
Yellowjacket is moaning in pain from that punch Giant-Man gave him, Spider-Man is getting back up on his feet, but Wasp is still too injured and weaken to continue fighting, Spider-Man and Giant-Man looked to see that they're not done yet, they still got Yellowjacket to deal with.
"We're not done yet, we still have a big bug problem to deal with." Spider-Man said.
"Agreed, care for a team up, Spider-Man?" Giant-Man said.
"With pleasure, Ant-Man." Spider-Man said.
Yellowjacket is getting back up on his feet as Spider-Man and Ant-Man agreed to team up to fight this supervillain, both heroes are surprised that despite the fight with Goliath earlier and the combine might of Spidey and Wasp isn't enough to tire Yellowjacket out from fighting.
"So what's the plan?" Ant-Man said.
"We can't disable his tech, so clearly we keep on hitting him until he's finally down, if his suit works like the others, then it has it's limits, he won't be able to maintain his gigantic form for much longer." Spider-Man said.
"Yeah." Giant-Man yawns out loudly. "Clearly I can't either, so let's make this count."
"Okay, you go on high and I'll go on low until he's down." Spider-Man said.
Spider-Man swings on up ahead getting Yellowjacket's attention as the supervillain is unleashing a barrage of energy blasts, Spidey takes evasive action to avoid every laser blast coming at him, meanwhile Giant-Man came in charging in for a tackle and pushed Yellowjacket back hard, the enemy still remains standing on his feet, Yellowjacket aims his limbs toward Giant-Man, but the hero got his hands on them and grips them very hard, Giant-Man execute a push kick onto Yellowjacket and pushed him back and pulled off a couple of titanium limbs from the harness. Yellowjacket still has one limb left as he's attempting to fire it, but nothing happened.
"What the hell?" Yellowjacket checks his HUD to see that Pym Particles levels are very low. "No, no, no!"
"Spider-Man, I think he's out of fuel." Giant-Man said.
"But he's still big, even without weapons, he could still cause more damage with his hands and feet alone. We have to take him here and now while we still have the chance." Spider-Man said.
"Got any ideas?" Giant-Man said.
Spider-Man looks at Yellowjacket all humongous and looking tired out, but still conscious enough to fight, he focuses his attentions towards the legs and though up of something crazy, but knows from his experience with Fin Fang Foom that it'll work.
"I got one. Get yourself ready, Paul Bunyan." Spider-Man said.
"For what?" Giant-Man said.
"To chop down one very big tree." Spider-Man said.
Yellowjacket is having a hard time focusing as the effects of the Pym Particles are starting to settle in, Spider-Man rushed up and swings ahead until he finally reached Yellowjacket's legs, he fired up a web line at one of the legs and he swings his line around both legs over and over as Giant-Man is starting to get the idea what Spidey has in mind. Yellowjacket shakes his head trying to get his bearings only to see Giant-Man coming his way, Yellowjacket attempt to walks but he felt something tightening up his legs, Spider-Man kept on swing around the legs until he finally got them tied up together.
"Okay Ant-Man, this is it, GO!" Spider-Man said.
Giant-Man is charging up closer to Yellowjacket as Spider-Man jumps out of the way, Yellowjacket is having trouble moving away as his legs are tied up by webbing, everyone including Wasp, Goliath, and Luis are a watching as Giant-Man finally got in closer and tossed in a very strong hook to Yellowjacket's head and knocked him down hard to the ground, Yellowjacket fell down and lost consciousness as he finally reached his limits and passed out. Spider-Man and Giant-Man approached to see that Yellowjacket is finally neutralized and many lives are saved, though Yellowjacket still remains big and unconscious.
"Okay, he's down, so how do we shrink him back?" Spider-Man said.
"Don't worry, Spidey." Giant-Man pulls out a disc. "I got this."
Giant-Man tossed down a red Pym Particle disc upon an unconscious Yellowjacket as it instantly shrinks him back down to normal size, Spider-Man webbed up the supervillain for good measure, Yellowjacket is finally neutralized and captured, Giant-Man then shrinks himself back down to normal size, he's feeling all tired out and could barely maintain himself, Spider-Man rushed up to support him.
"Easy there, I got you." Spider-Man helping Ant-Man stand.
Ant-Man is exhausted. "Do anyone have any orange slices?"
All of a sudden everyone is coming out of the building now that the danger has been neutralized, they all applaud for their savior and yelled out "ANT-MAN! ANT-MAN! ANT-MAN!", Scott couldn't believe it, he's everyone's hero today, he helped saved everyone including the heroes Spider-Man and Wasp from certain death, the reporters and cameramen all recorded the event of this mysterious Ant-Man who helped saved the day and took down the bad guys, Wasp is impressed with the heroic deeds Scott has done today, he's certainly proved himself worthy of taking up the mantle. Luis who was keeping his distance from the fight came by to see that his friend Scott saved a whole lot of lives today, he's impressed and proud of his friend for being the hero.

About an hour later, Damage Control is at the scene assessing the damages done to Pym Laboratories, a number of paramedics are tending to the injured, luckily nobody died in the assault, S.H.I.E.L.D. is taking Darren Cross into custody for his crimes here against Pym Labs and all it's employees. Inside the building itself at the private lab, Bill Foster is resting himself on the cot without his Goliath suit, he's still in recovery from the Pym Particle usage it did to his body, Peter is helping patch up Janet who was injured in the fight against Yellowjacket, the heroes were able to take possession of the Yellowjacket suit Cross was wearing earlier to keep the technology out of the wrong hands.
Peter finished bandaging Janet's arm. "There, that should do it."
"Thanks." Janet is grateful to Peter. "Where's Scott?'
"He said he had somethings to take care of." Peter said.
All of a sudden, Scott Lang came back into the lab carrying the Ant-Man suit and helmet after he's done taking care of somethings.
"I'm all done, I was able to return all the money I took from the bank before anyone noticed it was missing." Scott said.
"Are you sure?" Janet remains a bit distrustful.
"I am, it's all back safe and sound, I promise." Scott assured them.
"Okay, we're going to hold you to that." Janet will take Scott's word.
Scott walked up towards Janet and hands her the Ant-Man suit and helmet. "Here, I believe this belongs to you."
Janet takes it back and holds the suit that once belonged to her husband Hank Pym, it was all that's left of him, but she came to realized that the Ant-Man is needed once again, Scott proved it today when he risked his life and used the suit to save many lives, just like what Hank would've done.
"Thank you, Scott." Janet said.
"I'm sorry for going through so much trouble by taking this, but my daughter was dying and I was scared to lose her, she needed surgery and I needed the money to pay for it." Scott confessed his motives for everything he's done.
Janet is stunned. "I'm sorry, Scott, I had no idea."
"I had the chance to use the money to save her life." Scott said.
"Why didn't you? Why risk yourself to save us?" Peter said.
"I made so many mistakes, made the wrong choices, I thought that with the suit I'd have the power to help her, but someone recently taught me that I could've used the great power the suit gave me to help others, and that's what I did, but most importantly, I wanted my daughter to be proud of me, I wanted to prove to everyone that I could be more than who I was and that her daddy isn't a piece of shit." Scott said.
"What's her name?" Janet said.
"Cassie." Scott said.
Janet smiled. "That's a pretty name."
"Okay, now that the suit is back where it belongs, I'll turn myself in and pay my debt for the thief." Scott said.
"What thief? As far as I'm concerned, there was no robbery report by me and there was no break-in." Janet said.
Scott is stunned by this news. "What? Does this mean..."
"I'm not pressing any charges against you, on the contrary, I want to offer you a job." Janet said.
"A job? Me?" Scott said.
"Do you have any expertises beside in thief?" Janet said.
"Well, I do have a degree in electrical engineering." Scott said.
"We might have in need a man of your particular talents in electrical engineering, but that's only a cover for your actual job." Janet said.
"What actual job?" Scott is confused.
Janet hands Scott back the Ant-Man suit and helmet, Scott is confused as to why she hands them back to him.
"Today, you've proven that you got the heart to wear this suit and to take up the mantle as the next Ant-Man." Janet said.
"Are you serious?" Scott smiled.
"Very, the world still needs an Ant-Man more than ever, and I don't think that Hank would mind if someone takes up the mantle and carries on in his place. As of right now, you're Ant-Man, Scott Lang." Janet said.
"Thank you, I'll do you and Hank proud, I swear it." Scott said.
"Well then." Janet extends her hand to Scott. "Welcome to Pym Labs, Mr. Lang."
Scott takes and shakes Janet's hand. "Thank you, boss."
"And don't worry about your daughter's surgery, I'll take care of it." Janet said.
"For real?" Scott is getting happier. "Thank you."
"No, thank you Scott, you've saved a lot of lives today, including ours, it's the least I can do for you." Janet said.
Scott is so happy that Janet is going to help pay for Cassie's surgery, there's hope for his daughter after all. All of a sudden Bill Foster is starting to wake up from his nap to see that everyone is safe, he still feels weak from the Pym Particle usage.
"Easy Bill, save your strength." Janet said.
"Ah... how is everyone?' Bill Foster said.
"Everyone is safe thanks to you, Goliath. You bought enough time for us to get here in time, you helped protect everyone." Janet is proud of Bill.
"That's good to know, though I'm not sure if I could ever go Goliath ever again." Bill Foster said.
"At least you became Goliath at the right time where it counts the most. You were a hero for a time." Janet said.
Everyone then looks at the damaged Yellowjacket suit created by Darren Cross as they still have concerns about how much of Cross' Pym Particle experiments still remains loose.
"What are you going to do about that?" Scott said.
"Not to worry, Scott, me and Peter will go and check out Cross's last address to see if any of his remaining research is still there, once we're done cleaning up his mess, nobody will be able to replicate the Yellowjacket anytime soon." Janet said.
Around 6:30 PM at the Queens Subsidiary of Advanced Idea Mechanics, Rita DeMara is handing over a flash drive containing important data on the Yellowjacket project over to a man with a egg shaped head named Dr. Elihas Starr, the doctor hands Rita DeMara here payment for her services as he plugs the flash drive into the computer and looked over the schematics on the Yellowjacket technology along with the formula to creating Pym Particles, Elihas Starr is happy to get his hands on valuable research that could change the world, a holographic image of Monica Rappaccini is in the room and is impressed with everything Rita DeMara has accomplished for A.I.M..
"Do we have enough, Dr. Starr?" Monica Rappaccini said.
"Yes, Scientist Supreme, with this, I can continue where Cross has left off." Elihas Starr said.
"I would seem my investment in your talents has paid off, Mr. DeMara. It was smart to have you spy on Cross to make sure I get my investments worth in his research." Monica Rappaccini is pleased.
"I live to impress, Cross is quite paranoid in keeping his work to himself, he has no idea that I've copied everything from his servers without him knowing it." Rita DeMara said.
"And you shall be well rewarded, DeMara, once Dr. Starr has unlocked the secret, the Pym Particles shall serve A.I.M. in our goals for the future, and you shall have the honors of having the first prototype made by A.I.M. itself to serve us well in the new era." Monica Rappaccini said.
"Interesting, I can't wait, I look forward continuing working with you, Scientist Supreme, and you too, Egghead." Rita DeMara got her money and walks away.
Elihas Starr sighed feeling annoyed. "I hate it when everyone calls me that."
The holographic image of Monica Rappaccini disappears as Elihas Starr now has the means to recreate Hank Pym's work on Pym Particles for A.I.M. and Rita DeMara shall play a role in it once Starr recreates a new version of the Yellowjacket suit for her to use as an agent of A.I.M..
It's 7:03 PM at a very decent Thai Restaurant in Jersey City, Peter and Janet are having dinner after their success in taking down Darren Cross and saving Pym Labs along with it's employees thanks to the help of Scott Lang, the new Ant-Man, Peter is having larb as he picks one with the fork and eats it in his mouth, his eyes widen upon the taste.
"So how's the larb? Is it too larby or is it not larby enough?" Janet makes a joke.
Peter smiled and chews. "It's good, you were right about this place."
"Told you." Janet eats her food.
"Too bad Scott couldn't join us, he has no idea what he's missing out on." Peter said.
"I offered, but he had to leave to be there for his daughter who is in surgery right now." Janet said.
"I really hope things turn out great for him and his daughter." Peter said.
"So do I, Peter, so do I. By the way, thanks for all your help." Janet said.
"We Avengers always look out for our own, always." Peter said.
"By the way, I was looking at your suit after the battle." Janet said.
"What's wrong with my suit?" Peter said.
"Nothing, it just seemed old fashioned, the red and blue are a good color combo, but it could use some improvement, if you like, I could design you a new suit, I have some great ideas on the designs." Janet said.
"I appreciate it, Janet, but I seem to be doing fine with the way it is." Peter said.
"Well, if you ever change your mind, let me know." Janet said.
"Thank Janet, I'll keep that in mind." Peter said.
Peter and Janet got back to eating Thai food, Janet offered to design a new suit for Spider-Man whenever he wants it, Peter will remember that favor for the future when the need of a new suit would come in handy, for now they continue to celebrate and eating in peace.
The time is 7:25 PM outside of the hospital as the van came up to the entrance, Luis gave Scott a lift to the hospital as he's anxious to see his daughter Cassie and hopes that the surgery was a success, Luis was impressed with the actions Scott did earlier as the Ant-Man, it impressed Janet enough to pay for the surgery needed to help his daughter, Scott is getting out of the van and turns to thank his friend.
"Okay, thanks for the ride, Luis." Scott said.
"Sure Scotty, I really hope your kid pulls through." Luis said.
"Thanks." Scott appreciates Luis.
Scott got off the van and heads on inside the hospital, at some point later, he got off the elevator and walks up to see his ex-wife Peggy Rae in the hallway, he wants to hear the news on Cassie to know if the surgery is a success or not, he can only pray that Cassie survived the surgery without difficulty.
"Peggy!" Scott calling out to his ex-wife.
"Scott." Peggy Rae turns to see her ex-husband and looked happy with tears. "Cassie made it, she pulled through."
Scott smiled to hear that Cassie survived the surgery, it was a success.
"I had lost hope, but some anonymous donor paid for our daughter's surgery." Peggy Rae is happy.
"Who?" Scott said.
"I don't know, but the important is she's okay, our baby is okay." Peggy Rae said.
Scott is happy to learn that Cassie made it through with the surgery, he walks up to the room to find Cassie resting in the bed and recovering from the surgery, Cassie starts to wake up to see her father in the room, she smiled as she's happy to see her dad.
"Hey Peanut." Scott said.
"Daddy, you came." Cassie said.
"How are you feeling?" Scott said.
"I feel... much better now, mom say my heart is all fixed." Cassie said.
"I knew you'd pulled through, you're a survivor, Cassie, like me." Scott said.
Cassie then looked at the tv in the room to see recent news footage of the Ant-Man in giant form taking down Yellowjacket with the help of Spider-Man, Scott looked to see his recent success in saving the day and being the hero.
"See anything you like?" Scott said.
"The Ant-Man, he's... pretty cool." Cassie said.
Scott smiled. "Yes, he is."
Scott likes that Cassie compliment his actions, not knowing that her father is the Ant-Man, Scott took a chair and sat next to Cassie as they spend quality time together watching the TV, everything worked out for Scott Lang in the end, he was able to save so many innocent lives today and was given a second chance, he found his true calling in being the hero Ant-Man, today is the beginning of his new life as a hero, for now he's just so happy that his daughter gets to live another day and she became his main motivation in his new destiny as the New Ant-Man.
