Volume III: Swarm
Note: This will be the twentieth chapter of Volume III, this will introduce the origins of Fritz von Meyer, a german scientist from the 40's who was attacked by a swarm of mutated bees, his fellow scientists had no choice but to imprison him deep within the underground fauna and he remained there for about 78 years, the mutated bees turned him into a supervillain called Swarm. Recently he was freed and wants to exact his vengeance on the people who left him to die by killing off their descendants. Peter, Gwen, along with their classmates are touring Empire State University as graduation day is months away and everyone is looking for colleges and universities to enroll in. Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider, and Kid Arachnid are about to come face to face against a supervillain who's whole body is comprised entirely out of bees he can bend to his will, this supervillain poses a real threat to the whole city and it's people as the bees themselves contains a very deadly venom that can be fatal as many people in New York are attacked and stung by Swarm, the entire city will become ill as many are working tirelessly to treat the infected, the heroes will also enlist the help of Dr. Connors in a solution to save the city from Swarm's bee venom by finding a cure. This chapter will also introduce the new suit for Spider-Man, the Spider-Armor MK II which will come in handy in his fight against Swarm.
78 years earlier
The year is 1946 in Buenos Aires, a number of German scientists has relocated to South America with the help of the newly formed government agency called S.H.I.E.L.D. as part of Operation Paperclip, they've formerly served the Third Reich in creating weapons and have much to offer the U.S. government, particularly their rocket technology that will serve well in the near future, they must remain in hiding and far away from Europe to evade imprisonment until they can get their amnesty for their past affiliations in the Reich, one of the scientist is a man name Fritz von Meyer who seemed displeased with his new living situation out here in Argentina, he was a scientist for the Third Reich and a firm believer in their cause, but now he's been reduced to nothing but being the errand boy for the Americans.
"Ah! How much longer must we stay here? I'm a scientist, not a prisoner, I should be doing research, not staying put doing nothing!" Fritz von Meyer is very displeased.
"You should be very lucky, we all should, if it were up to the Allied Forces back in Europe, we'd all be facing life imprisonment for our actions in the Reich, all of our creations were responsible for a number of deaths."
"I still don't understand why the Americans went through so much trouble to keep us hidden." Fritz von Meyer said.
"Apparently they need us and our talents, some of us have already gotten amnesty and the Americans wants our work in the development of rocket technology."
"The war is over, the Reich is no more. What do they want with our rockets?" Fritz von Meyer said.
"I don't know, they don't tell me anything, typical Americans. But let's just be patient, soon we'll all be relocated to New York very soon where we can start our new lives there."
"Is this what we're reduced to? Being the errand boys of those Americans pig?" Fritz von Meyer has a serious distaste for the Americans.
Their conversation got interrupted when one of the handlers from S.H.I.E.L.D. came by to check on the German scientists staying put in Argentina for almost a year.
"Gentlemen, how are your accommodations?"
"Not good, how much longer must we be down here?! The weather here is too warm for my taste!" Fritz von Meyer said.
"Patience, von Meyer, we're still working on getting each of you amnesties, but that's not why I'm here, there's a situation out here that requires your services for S.H.I.E.L.D., a meteorite has crashed into the Misiones jungle and we want your team of scientists to investigate it."
"A meteorite? For what?" Fritz von Meyer said.
"Those are the orders, I'm just here to deliver the message. So get yourselves rest and ready, cause tomorrow morning, you're all heading into the Misiones jungle."
Fritz von Meyer still isn't pleased being the errand boy for S.H.I.E.L.D., but at least he gets to do something all in the name of science for the first time since he arrived here in Argentina along with fellow German scientists.
(Day Later)
Somewhere in the jungle regions of Misiones, Fritz von Meyer and his fellow scientist are riding on canoes riding up the river, they've passed on by and gazed upon the beautiful waterfalls of this land, eventually they've made it to jungle grounds to find the site of the meteorite, they roamed around the jungles aimlessly trying to find the site until they found an underground opening in the ground, from the looks of it, the cause of it was something big that came down very fast from the atmosphere, they finally found the site.
"This is it, let's take a closer look." Fritz von Meyer said.
The team all carefully went down deep into the tunnel to find the meteorite, they continue to venture deep down only to find an underground fauna deep below the surface that nobody ever knew existed, the place is riddled with plant life and breathable atmosphere, all this caught them by surprise.
"Amazing."
Fritz von Meyer looks around here only to noticed a strange fume forming up here, he walks and follows it to the source, he eventually found the meteorite his team was ordered to find, the fumes are coming from the meteorite itself giving off strange gas emitting a form a radiation affecting the underground life, unknown to him deep ahead is a hive full of bees mutated by the meteor gas.
"I've found it!" Fritz von Meyer calls out to his team.
The rest of the scientist came to Fritz as they gazed upon the meteorite that crashed deep down underground, Fritz got in a little closer to take samples of the meteorite for study, bits of rocks and gas all taken, all of a sudden a mutated bee from the hive came by and stung Fritz.
"Ow!" Fritz von Meyer quickly slapped the bee on his arm, killing it instantly. "There, stupid insect."
Fritz felt relief killing that one small bee, but his relief got cut short as everyone heard a loud buzzing sound coming from deep within the tunnels that made them nervous, one them holds up a flashlight to get a better view, all of a sudden a swarm of mutated bees are coming towards them.
"Run!" Fritz von Meyer yells out.
The team all flee from the fauna as fast as possible to escape from the swarm of mutated bees, Fritz von Meyer is behind the rest of them until he tripped on the rock and fell down, he quickly gets him back up on his feet and runs away as the bees are getting closer to him, the rest of the team made it to the surface, but they see one of their own is still in the tunnel along with the mutated bees. If the bees ever made it outside, they'll kill them all, the scientists had to make a difficult choice.
"Grab the explosives, seal the entrance, quickly!"
A couple of scientists are setting up the explosive to cause a cave in to seal the tunnel and trap the bees inside, Fritz von Meyer has almost made it to the surface along with the swarm, the scientist looked to see one of their own is almost reaching the outside with the bees, one of them holds the detonator to the explosives.
"Forgive us, von Meyer. May god have mercy on you."
The scientist detonated the explosives and cave in the entrance to seal the whole tunnel, Fritz von Meyer almost made it but the whole tunnel collapsed and the way to the outside is completely sealed off, he's trapped inside as the swarm is getting closer to him.
"NO! LET ME OUT! PLEASE, LET ME OUT!" Fritz von Meyer afraid for his life.
The scientists outside had no choice but to trap Fritz von Meyer inside the cave, the man himself turns around to see all the mutated bees swarms upon him together and consuming him, Fritz is screaming out loudly as all the bees stung him together, he felt something strange happening to himself, he felt like he's losing his conscious and the bees are all taking in his human DNA as it's now becoming part of him, Fritz suddenly passed out as his screams has stopped, the scientists outside couldn't hear his screams anymore, they assumed that the swarm of bees has now killed him, he is now presumed dead to them as they left him there to die.
(Present)
78 years later
The day is March 21st in modern day Argentina in the Misiones Region, a team of scientist accompanied by a local Native Argentine indigenous to this region, this guy is covered up by a purple cloak as he's leading them through the jungle to find the possible site of the rumored underground fauna, he lead them to where there used to be a tunnel that was caved in almost 80 years ago, this place has a terrible reputation as the locals believe it to be cursed by some kind of ghost that still dwells within the fauna.
"Is this the place?"
The Native Argentine speaks in a dialect unknown to most people, he's warning them about this place and the dangers that lurks here.
"Does anyone knows what he's saying?"
"He says that this place is cursed, that there are voices roaming around here for decades."
"And you believe that?"
"Doesn't matter if I believe it, the locals do."
"Well, whatever it is, we'll deal with it. Okay, let's start digging."
A team of workers came up to the site of the entrance and started to unearth the rocks that caused the cave in, sealing this place for almost a century, now they're unsealing it stone by stone. About few hours later, they've finally opened up the cave as the scientist approach the tunnel carefully, there's no telling what lurks inside, they pulled out some flashlights to get a better view of the tunnel. They flash their lights around the cave until one got a view of a human skeleton that has been here for the past 78 years.
"Hey, check it out!"
"Whoa, what do you think happened here?"
"Don't know, clear this poor guy died a horrible death."
The scientists examined the skeleton until they heard a buzzing sound coming deep within the tunnel, it made them spooked as all of a sudden a swarm of bees came out and attacked the scientists as they all screamed in horror, stinging them with their stingers all contain a deadly venom as multiple stings are too much for the human body to handle alone, the swarm eventually flew out of the cave and finally made it to the surface for the first time in years since the cave in, the other scientists along with the native guide are all scared by the swarm of bees coming out of the cave and overwhelmed them all, everyone screamed until they couldn't no more.
After the bees are done killing off everyone, the bees flew back to the cave and formed around the skeleton of Fritz von Meyer, the bees forced the skeleton to stand up on it's feet and they all fused themselves together to form a body, this mysterious being is stepping out of the cave and into the sunlight, this being has a consciousness of his own and eyes as he raised his hands up to see what he's become, his whole body is comprised entirely out of bees, he's no longer flesh and blood, he's not even human anymore, but something else all together.
"What? What am I?" Fritz von Meyer's voice.
The swarm of bees somehow has the consciousness of deceased Nazi scientist Fritz von Meyer and the bees are extensions of his will all obeying his command and now part of his new body around his old skeleton, he is presumed dead to the rest of the world unaware that he's been trapped within the underground fauna for the past 78 years and the world has moved on, he still has some scores to settle, getting back at the very people who left him to die in the cave, now he wants vengeance on all of them, he spotted the local native he killed with his bees, he walked up and took his purple cloak as his own. Fritz then puts it on and walks away from the dead corpses on a journey of revenge.
"Fritz von Meyer is dead, now I am... Swarm." Fritz von Meyer became Swarm.
The day is now March 22nd on Friday, the time is 9:30 AM morning time at Empire State University, a school bus is parked in front of the entrance as students from Midtown Science High School lead by Raymond Warren are disembarking from the bus and gazed upon one of the possible schools to enroll in after high school graduation, Peter and Gwen are already familiar with the university since they still got their internship under Dr. Connors, one of the university students there is today's tour guide.
"Welcome students of Midtown High, my name is Richard Rider, I'll be your tour guide for today, let me be the first to welcome you to ESU, I hope that after seeing what this school has to offer, you'll be convinced to enroll here, please follow me." Richard Rider leads the way.
Richard takes the entire class on a tour of the entire university to see if they're impressed in enrolling here, Peter and Gwen are already convinced and made up their minds about this place, Flash on the other hand isn't too sure as to the whole purpose of this tour.
"Remind me again Professor why we have to be here?" Flash asking Raymond Warren.
"Cause graduation is only months away and these college deadline are coming up, it's important to focus on your futures." Raymond Warren explained.
"Are you sure this school is for me, cause I'm not too brainy like Parker and Stacy are, no doubt they'll get accepted without difficulty with their grades and all." Flash said.
"Fret not, Mr. Thompson, this university is also accepting athletes with talent. Who knows? With your talents in football, you might be recruited into their football program and receive a full scholarship." Raymond Warren said.
The tour continues on as Flash is still thinking about his future after high school, he's still not sure if going to college and play football is his goal, he wants to do more than play sports, he wants to make a big difference and help people just like his hero Spider-Man. The tour goes on as everyone got a chance to see the football fields, the gymnasium with a big pool, the library, and the cafeteria. Eventually the tour lead them towards the science department complex where Dr. Connors and his assistant Vincent Stegron are working and doing research, Dr. Connors stopped his work and got up to introduce himself to the students of Midtown High, everyone got to meet the one armed scientist in charge of this department, Peter and Gwen are very familiar with Dr. Connors in his work as a scientist and his past as the Lizard that nobody else is aware.
"Welcome, my name is Dr. Curtis Connors." Dr. Connors noticed them looking at his missing limb. "And yes, in case you're wondering, I am a southpaw."
The whole class giggled and laughed at that joke Dr. Connors made, Peter and Gwen smiled as Dr. Connors still has a sense of humor.
"I'm not crippled, I'm a scientist, and I'm the world's foremost authority on herpetology. That's reptiles, for those of you who don't know. And this is Vincent Stegron, my assistant, we're honor to have you here in our science department, here we study on how to improve human evolution, we're making great discoveries here all in the name of science. Thank you all for coming and please take your time to look around, but don't touch anything, that is all." Dr. Connors said.
Everyone scattered around to look at all the amazing things here, including lizards in terrarium and cutting edge technology used here, Dr. Connors walked up to his two prized interns Peter and Gwen.
"Good to see you both again, I take it you're still thinking about which school to enroll in." Dr. Connors said.
"Not to worry, Doc, I made up my mind, I'm still enrolling here at ESU." Peter said.
"Me too, hopefully we'll both get accepted and become your students." Gwen said.
"I have no doubts you'll both get accepted, you're among the smartest high school students I've ever seen." Dr. Connors said.
Raymond Warren came by to speak with Dr. Connors. "I told you, they're both my prized pupils."
"You were right, they got great passion for science." Dr. Connors said.
Peter and Gwen are complimented by their teachers, both students want to enroll here at ESU after they've graduated high school, they want to stay local in their lives as heroes and hoped to continue studying under Dr. Connors once that day comes, they're only months away until they've finally graduated high school and enrolling to college, a big change is coming for them and their classmates.
Around 10:36 AM out in the bay of New York, a freighter coming in from Argentina is heading for Manhattan as a man in a purple cloak is standing in front of the ship's bow, it's Swarm hiding himself under the cloak gazing upon the city where his fellow scientists were relocated after his apparent demise in that cave 78 years ago, somewhere in the city he plans to exact his revenge on those who left him to die in that cave.
"At last, America, the land of freedom, home of the brave, so this is where my former colleague relocated after my demise. If they think that they can live their lives in peace while mines has been destroyed, then they're in for a surprise, I shall get my vengeance, no matter how many lives I have to kill to get it. Everyone will suffer the same way I've suffered, and Swarm shall deliver it." Swarm said with a hateful voice.
The ship continues to make it's way towards the city where Swarm shall begin his quest for vengeance against the very people who left him to die and made him like this, a being comprised entirely out of bees, now he has the power to make his quest for vengeance a reality.
Later at Midtown Science High School, the school bell rang as many students are leaving school for the day and plan to enjoy their weekend while others are thinking about their plans for college, Peter, Gwen, Mary Jane, and Harry are all walking out together having a conversation about their futures, Peter and Gwen had already made up their minds about ESU, while Mary Jane and Harry are still thinking about what they want out of life after high school.
"So you and Pete are planning to enroll in ESU, right?" Harry said.
"We are, we're quite fond of the school and it's science department." Gwen said.
"How about you, Harry?" Peter said.
"I'm thinking about enrolling into ESU too just like you two, my dad wants me to take up business and science, he said as the son and heir of Norman Osborn, Oscorp is destined to be mine to lead one day." Harry said.
"That might not be so bad, if that's what you want." Peter said.
"I might succeed in business, but science isn't exactly my strong suit." Harry said.
"Well, if we do end up in the same university, I'd be happy to tutor you to help catch up." Peter said.
"Thank Pete, you're a true friend. If I know my dad, he'll probably hook me up with a fancy apartment building near campus, if you like, we could become roommates." Harry said.
"Thanks for the offer, Harry, but me and Gwen decided to do some apartment searching after high school graduation." Peter said.
"Oh, I see! So you two like to have a place to yourselves all alone!" Harry is teasing the couple as he gets the idea.
"Knock it off." Peter smiled feeling embarrassed.
"How about you, MJ?" Harry said.
"Nah, I don't think ESU is for me, I'm actually thinking about enrolling into Juilliard and take up acting." Mary Jane revealed her ambitions.
"Still want to be an actress I see, but can you afford it?" Harry said.
"I'll see if I can get financial aid, if that doesn't work out, I'll get a job, but either way I'm still pursuing my dreams in acting, it's my passion, my bliss." Mary Jane said.
"That's great, MJ, you're definitely destined for fame and fortune, with your blessed beauty you'll be famous." Harry said.
"Me and Peter support you." Gwen said.
"She's right, you can do this." Peter said.
"Thanks for the support." Mary Jane felt appreciative of her friends.
"Okay, me and Gwen are going to leave you both behind, see ya next time." Peter leaves the group.
"Bye." Gwen waves goodbye and follows Peter.
Peter and Gwen are leaving to attend their hero duties as Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider, Harry and Mary Jane are left behind after everyone made up their minds about what schools they want to enroll in for the future.
At the Triskelion, the main headquarters of S.H.I.E.L.D., in the archive room deep below the surface, a janitor with clearance is dusting off the place full of boxes, each containing old records and files dating way before the digital age, after he's done cleaning up he left the room and closed the door behind him, unaware that within the air vent above the room, a swarm of bees came out undetected and formed up into a humanoid being, Swarm managed to infiltrate S.H.I.E.L.D. easily thanks to his new physiology of bees.
"Finally, now to find the records on Operation Paperclip." Swarm said.
Swarm then looks around looking for boxes each dated, he's looking for a specific date, he searches boxes to boxes until he found one from 1945 to 1950, he picked up that box and opens up to see dust inside it as it hasn't been opened up for years, he searches for the Operation Paperclip papers containing the names of the German scientists S.H.I.E.L.D. helped out in exchange for their valuable knowledge in technology, he found one of the papers with his name, it's marks Fritz von Meyer as deceased from a cave in 78 years ago, he got angry that everyone marked him for dead to the world, puts away that paper and picked out more and finally found the names of the scientists who left to die in that cave, he found out that they've been given new names to live out their new lives here in America, unfortunately due to 78 years, those scientists have already passed away from old age.
"So you all have new names, it's a shamed that you're all dead, but at least I'll have the satisfaction of getting my revenge through your descendants, I shall kill them all even I have to kill off the entire city to do it, I swear it." Swarm vows to get vengeance.
After he's done getting the new names of the scientists that relocated here, he dispersed himself into thousands of bees and went back out through the vent, he has everything he needs to find the descendants of those scientists by finding the people of those share those names and killing them off thoroughly.
Around 4:45 PM at the Spider-Cave, Ganke Lee is on the supercomputer monitoring for any sign of trouble in the city, Gwen is practicing Wing Chun on the dummy to keep her skills sharp, and Peter is at the fabrication machine creating a new suit of armor more flexible than the original Spider-Armor he created two years ago, the very same suit that is now resting inside the glass case along with other spider suits he wore before, this new suit is all black with gold at the spider emblem and lens, meanwhile Miles Morales just entered the Spider-Cave to see his friends are busy here, Gwen eventually stopped practicing and spotted her friend Miles here as he looks like he's had a very busy day at school.
"You're late." Gwen said.
"Sorry, I was at a parent teacher meeting to discuss my grades, apparently I've been falling behind in some classes." Miles confessed to his friends.
"Such as?" Gwen said.
"Spanish for one." Miles said.
"Spanish? How could you be failing at Spanish? You're part Puerto Rican from your mother's side." Ganke Lee is stunned.
"Come on, I can do a lot of things but I'm not that great at languages, I could barely speak fluent Spanish." Miles confessed.
"Hey Pete." Gwen speaking in Spanish and got Peter's attention. "Did you know Miles doesn't even speak Spanish?"
"No, then again I'm not sure he enjoys speaking English either." Peter smiled and speak Spanish too.
Peter and Gwen smiled and giggled as Miles felt annoyed by them speaking Spanish very well, but he did understand bits of what they've said.
"Hey! I heard that, just because I don't speak decent Spanish, doesn't mean I can understand bits of it." Miles said.
"Sorry, but seriously you don't feel bad if you're not great at languages, there's no shame in it, Miles. You're still great at what you do in your way." Peter said.
"Thanks, I think... By the way, what's that you're working on over there?" Miles noticed Peter's work.
"This my friend is the new Spider-Armor, I call it MK II." Peter said.
"MK II? Are you seriously taking a page out of Iron Man's playbook?" Gwen said.
"Kinda, the man has a huge number of suits of armor stored in his Hall of Armor." Peter said.
"Wow, that's pretty cool." Ganke Lee said.
"So what's the difference between this one and the other one?" Miles said.
"This one is more lighter and flexible than the original, plus it's bulletproof, I just wonder when I'll get the chance to test it out." Peter said.
"Looks like those chances are very slim, there hasn't been much crime activity in a week, not even the weird ones you're all used to fighting, it's all pretty quiet lately." Ganke Lee said.
"Good, less trouble the better, hopefully the whole city will get to enjoy their lives in peace, as do we." Peter said.
Around 10:59 PM nighttime at a fancy restaurant in Manhattan, the place is packed full of people and a number of waiters are taking orders and delivery food table to table while the cooks are in the kitchen cooking to perfection, among them is a cook of german descent chopping up onions and using the knife to slide them into the bowl, he felt tired out as he looks at the clock in the kitchen to see that the time has now changed to 11 PM, he finished up his worked and waves to his fellow cooks.
"Okay, I'm off, see ya tomorrow."
"Bye!"
This guy checks himself out of work and left through the back, he walks through a dark alleyway heading for his car, he sees a parking ticket on the windshield, he took it and curled it up into a ball, he used his key to unlock the door and enters the vehicle, he tossed the parking ticket aside and locked the doors, he puts on his seat beat and was about to start the engines until he heard a strange buzzing noise nearby and it's very close, all of a sudden out of the car's air vent system a swarm of bees came out and spooked the man as they've overwhelmed him together, this man screamed out in terror as he's being stung by multiple bees simultaneously overwhelming his system full of venom, this man eventually stopped screaming as he expired out and died. The bees all came out of the car and joined up with Swarm looking at one of his victims all devoid of life.
Swarm chuckled. "One down, many more to go."
Swarm walks away from the crime scene as one of his victims is left for dead inside his car, he already got some vengeance and he's just getting started.
It's morning time around 8:15 AM on a Saturday, the day is March 23rd, at the Parker Residence, Peter and Gwen are at the table together looking over the laptop online of which classes to take at ESU once they get accepted, May used the spatula to pick up some wheatcakes and place them into two plates with eggs, she carried them over to Peter and Gwen to serve them breakfast, eventually Peter and Gwen broke off class searching and started to eat their breakfast, May takes a peek at the laptop to see they're searching the ESU website on classes to take in the fall semester.
"Still deciding?" May said.
"We already decided to take biochemistry, but we're still looking other classes to take besides that one." Peter said.
May sighed and smiled. "Only a few months away until graduation and you're both thinking about college, things sure are changing so soon."
Peter smiled. "I know, I can't believe that our time at Midtown High will soon be over."
Peter and Gwen remained quiet as their time at Midtown High will end and their new lives will soon begin, all of a sudden Gwen's phone is ringing as she picks it up to see Ganke Lee is calling.
"It's Ganke." Gwen answered the call and holds the phone to her ear. "Morning Ganke, what's going on?"
"Gwen, you and Peter are needed in the city immediately, there's been a murder from last night and it's not a normal one, this one has the makings of a supervillain it seems. Miles is already on his way, I'll text you the location for you both to join up ." Ganke informed Gwen.
"Okay, we'll be right there." Gwen hangs up the phone and is stunned.
Peter noticed Gwen's expression. "What is, Gwendy?"
"We gotta go, there's been a murder, Ganke thinks that there's a new supervillain in town." Gwen said.
Peter sighed. "So much for a peaceful week in New York, let's go."
Peter and Gwen got up from their chairs and grabbed their backpacks as they head on upstairs to change into their suits.
Later around 8:54 AM, Kid Arachnid is standing on a rooftop near a billboard of "Jameson For Mayor", the hero is looking down at the crime scene where a number of CSI are examining for clues and the medical examiners carrying out the body from the driver seat of the car the victim was in and putting him into the body bag, Captain Watanabe arrived at the scene to investigate this matter personally, meanwhile Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider finally arrived and joined up with Kid Arachnid on the rooftop.
"Hey, glad you both made it." Kid Arachnid said.
"Sure thing, let's take a close look, shall we?" Spider-Man said.
"Ladies first." Ghost-Spider jumped down ahead.
Spider-Man and Kid Arachnid jumped down and joined up with Ghost-Spider down below as Captain Watanabe sees them walking towards her.
"What's the situation, Captain?" Spider-Man said.
"See for yourself." Yuri Watanabe opens up the body bag.
The heroes gazed upon the victims and all got spooked by his appearance as he's got multiple puncture marks on his face and skin, the poor man never had a chance, but they're curious as to what caused this kind of infliction and what he died from.
"Whoa, that's disturbing." Kid Arachnid felt disturbed.
"Who's the victim?' Ghost-Spider said.
"His name is Victor Krieg, a cook, his coworkers found him in his car this morning, apparent he never made it home from work." Yuri Watanabe said.
"Any idea what caused this?" Spider-Man said.
"CSI found what appears to be bite marks all over the victim's face, whatever caused it, must made him gone into anaphylaxis, poor guy never had a chance, the corner will take blood sample and run toxicology, it should tell us what he was injected with. But this is the weird part, the car was locked up tight from the inside, there were no other prints other than the victims, it's hard to explain who or what attacked him, but this definitely has signs of supervillain written all over it." Yuri Watanabe explained.
Spider-Man sighed uncomfortably. "One thing for sure, whoever killed him made him suffer, poor guy."
"I don't get it, why would a supervillain kill off a cook? Doesn't make sense." Ghost-Spider said.
"We don't get it either, this guy doesn't have a criminal record other than unpaid parking tickets, he's clean." Yuri Watanabe said.
Yuri got an alert on her phone and checks out the update, she became shocked.
"What is it, Captain?" Spider-Man said.
Yuri Watanabe sighed. "There another body found, a schoolteacher, female, similar cause of death like this guy."
"A cook and a schoolteacher? Someone is killing off random people, but why?" Ghost-Spider said.
All of a sudden, Yuri's phone got another alert on it, she found out where the next attack is, it's the place she at least expected.
"Oh no!" Yuri Watanabe looked troubled.
"Another one?" Spider-Man said.
"Maybe, and you're never going to believe where it is." Yuri Watanabe said.
(13th Precinct)
The 13th Precinct is under attack as officers lead by the ranking officer Sergeant Jefferson Davis are at the entrance trying to hold back some kind of monster all yellow and purple comprised entirely out of bees, it's Swarm, he's making his move again as one of the officers is his target. Sergeant Davis yells. "Hold him back, don't let him through!", the officers are shooting back at this mysterious monster, the bullets all passed on through his body unable to kill him, Swarm himself felt nothing as he turns back to the officers shooting at him.
"My turn!" Swarm said.
Swarm unleashed his bees and they all scatter around attacking any officers in their path, they stung them with their deadly venom as they all fell down and started to feel ill from the venom as it's doing it's work on them, Sergeant Davis retreated back to the armory and closed the door behind him, he looked to see shotguns along with flare ammunition and got an idea. Back outside many officers are being stung by bees and infected with venom as Swarm is making everyone sick, he looks at one of the officer with the name tag of the last name of one of the scientists. He's about to attack him with his killer bees and kill him off, but Sergeant Davis came out of the armory holding the shotgun all loaded.
"HEY!" Jefferson Davis yells out.
Swarm turns to see an African American male cocking the shotgun and fired off a flare round at Swarm, the supervillain felt the burns of the flares affect his body, causing him pain, Jefferson cocked the shotgun and shoots again, injuring Swarm again, he cocked it again and shoots, each shot fired at Swarm is pushing him back and some of his bees are dying from the heat, Jefferson shoots again and again pushing Swarm even further back, he cocked the shotgun and shoots, but nothing happening, Swarm is attempting to recovers himself back as Jefferson cocks the shotgun and pulls the trigger, he soon learned that he's out of ammo, Swarm is back to full strength as he's angry at the cop who hurt him.
"You'll pay for that!" Swarm is very angry.
Swarm unleashed his bees to attack Jefferson Davis as the cop jumps out of the way and makes a run for it, the bees changed course and flies after Jefferson Davis, the cop kept on running towards the elevator and turns his head to see the bees coming his way. He made it to the elevator controls and pressed the button awaiting the elevator to come down. But he can't wait while the bees are closing in, he pulls out his sidearm and started shooting some bees flying in, he managed to kill of a few bees with his bullets but he can't shoot them all down at once, eventually one of them managed to get close enough and stung Sergeant Davis in the neck.
"AH!" Jefferson Davis hits the bee on his neck, killing it.
Even though the bee is dead, it was too late, Jefferson Davis is infected with the powerful bee venom, he's starting to feel very sick as the venom is spreading throughout his system, he's starting to lose conscious slowly and fell down on the ground as Swarm hovers in the air closer to the cop who managed to injure him, Jefferson Davis is all powerless and defenseless as Swarm is about to initiate the kill.
"Impressive, just know that I'm going to enjoy making you suffer slowly." Swarm threatens Jefferson Davis' life.
Swarm still a firm believer in fascism, he plans to enjoy killing the officer without any regret, Jefferson Davis is all vulnerable as Swarm is about to kill him in that instant, but all of a sudden a mailbox is tossed hard and hits Swarm as he dispersed into thousands of bees, leaving a skeleton to fall down on the ground, coming in from the entrance, Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider, and Kid Arachnid arrived just in time only to find officers down on the floor all ill, including Jefferson Davis, Miles' dad, which made Kid Arachnid worried for his father's life.
"Oh no!" Kid Arachnid is troubled.
Kid Arachnid attempts to rush to help his father down on the ground, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider all followed until all three stopped to see the bees all forming up on the skeleton on the ground, a body comprised entirely out of bees stands back up on his feet and puts back on the purple cloak as all three heroes finally meets a supervillain they've never seen before, Swarm turns around and gazed upon the heroes responsible for that attack against him, this supervillain somehow can manipulate bees at will and uses them to attack anyone he deems his enemies.
"Oh great, so we're fighting the Candyman now, huh." Kid Arachnid made a movie reference.
"I do not know this Candyman, but you all made a serious mistake in crossing me, Americans." Swarm speaks with a German accent.
"Who or what are you?" Spider-Man said.
"I am Fritz von Meyer, scientist for the Third Reich, but you shall address me as Swarm, master of bees." Swarm introduced himself.
"Oh wonderful, a Nazi supervillain, just what we needed, so far I'm not impressed." Ghost-Spider said.
"Do you doubt my powers, Fraulein?!" Swarm felt insulted.
"Look pal, you're not the first Nazi supervillain I've crossed paths with and certain won't be the last, I've stopped them before and I'll do the same to you, Bee Man." Spider-Man said.
Swarm chuckles as he's not afraid. "Just try."
Swarm opens up his mouth and unleashed bees towards the heroes as Spider-Man summoned his web shield to protect himself and his teammates, the bees are unable to penetrate the energy shield as some got around the shield, Ghost-Spider and Kid Arachnid fired off their web shooters to neutralize the bees before any of them are able to sting the heroes, but that won't be enough to hold them back for much longer.
"This isn't working, make a big web!" Spider-Man holding up the web shield.
Spider-Man finally counters back and tossed the web shield at Swarm, the supervillain dispersed into thousands of bees as they're all charging at the heroes, Spider-Man and his team all fired off their web shooters to create a giant web to trap the bees, some of them came into contact with the webbing and got stuck, unable to free themselves, Kid Arachnid sees some of them are trying to break through the web as he takes matter into his own hands, he grip the webbing and unleashed bio-electricity throughout the web and zapped a lot of bees dead, Swarm is troubled by these young beings with remarkable powers, he goes back to his skeleton and forms a body again around it.
"This is over, I'm not done yet!" Swarm is very mad.
Swarm then flies away from the precinct out the window to make his escape, meanwhile the heroes all looked around to see the injured officers laying down on the ground, Kid Arachnid rushed to help his father Jefferson, he picked him up to see that he's not looking too well, he has a mark on his neck from the bee sting, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider looked at the other officers to find the same sting marks on them, they're all infected with bee venom. Captain Watanabe along with her remaining officers came into the precinct to find her men all ill.
"What happened here?" Yuri Watanabe is worried.
"Call the ambulances, these men need immediate medical attention now!" Spider-Man said.
Captain Watanabe got on the radio to call for medical assistances "This is Captain Watanabe, we got multiple officers down, send paramedics to the 13th precinct immediately!"
Kid Arachnid is worried for his dad as he's burning up and getting sicker along with the other infected officers, the heroes are worried that this Swarm guy is capable of infecting people with venom, this supervillain can prove to be a danger to the entire city. Spider-Man walked up to the web he and his friends created, he sees some bees attached to the web as he took one of them to be study, hopefully he'll get his answers to this Swarm guy.
Later around 9:33 AM at Central Park, a number of beehives are hanging from branches of trees as Swarm finally made it here to safety all severely weakened as he lost most of his bees from the attack by Jefferson Davis and the spider heroes, he was barely lucky to escape from them, he spotted the beehives as he sent several of his own bees towards them, Swarm bees each enters a hive and sprayed pheromones from their bodies as it's affecting the other bees and corrupting them, turning them into mutated bees, all the bees from the hives left and joined Swarm as they're now part of the sentient being, Swarm is back to full strength, but now he's got other problems to deal with, the spider heroes themselves will prove to be a problem for him, he must change his strategy.
"All better now, but now I have other problems, those pest thwarted my revenge plan and there are still other targets still out there in the city, I'll have to change my plans to catch this city off balance." Swarm said.
Swarm then reach out his hand and released some bees to disperse.
"Go my children, go and sting anyone in your path, this whole city shall feel the full fury of Swarm." Swarm said.
Swarm unleashed his bees to spread around the whole city as he plans to infect as much of the population as he can, he wants to take it all down bit by bit without any regrets, he switch from his plans of revenge to unleashing genocide on the entire city.
(Harlem)
A taxi driver is driving through the streets until one of the bees stung him in the neck, the cabbie got infected by the venom as he's feeling feverish and can barely keep his focus on the road, he lost consciousness and still has his foot on the gas petal, his cab ran past a red light and crashed into another vehicle, all of sudden a few people got stung and fell down on the ground feeling sick.
(Chinatown)
A lot of people are exiting the restaurant, workers and customers alike all with bee marks on their skin, all feeling ill from the venom as they collapsed on the sidewalk, many more people in Chinatown are being stung by Swarm's bees.
(Central Park)
A couple of female joggers fell down on the ground after being stung by bees, including kids playing baseball out on the fields are feeling ill from the bee venom.
(Dispatch Center)
All the dispatchers are all receiving 911 calls as well as emergency alerts from all over Manhattan, people getting sick and requesting medical assistances, the dispatch commander looked to see phones are ringing off the hook than ever before.
"My god, the whole city is on alert!"
The time is 10:04 AM in a hospital in the city, a number of police officers from the 13th precinct are being brought in and treated for the bee stings, including Sergeant Jefferson Davis who is still feeling ill from the bee sting, Kid Arachnid stood by his dad resting and still sick from the venom, despite the treatments everyone is getting, they're still getting sicker by the minute, the doctors are having a hard time trying to cure them of their infections, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider could tell that none of the injections they're giving the officers are working, Captain Watanabe came in to check on her men still sick from the venom.
"How are they?" Yuri Watanabe said.
"Not good, the doctors can't cure them, none of the treatments are working, the venom the bees infected them with must be more powerful, the doctors said they've only got small amounts of venom, but it's still killing them very slowly, the doctors are doing everything they can to keep them alive and stabilized, but if we don't find a cure to the venom, then none of them will make it through the night." Spider-Man explained the situation.
All of a sudden, Rio Morales came into the hospital and rushed through the crowd to see her husband who was attacked by this Swarm guy, she arrived at the room to find her husband resting and Kid Arachnid in the room, the hero spotted his mom here all worried, Rio came to her husband's side to check up on him, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider are worried for Kid Arachnid as this is father who life is at stake along with everyone else's. But they got other worries as more paramedics are wheeling in more people, the heroes got to see one of them passing by and noticed he's got the same bee mark like the officers, and they're not the only ones.
"What's going on?" Yuri Watanabe said.
Spider-Man noticed the tv in the reception room is playing breaking news as he got closer and tune up the volume for everyone to hear, a lot of people are being taken into hospitals on tv and all suffering from the same infection, people of all ages including kids are ill.
"This just in, hospitals all over Manhattan are maxed out to capacity, people are getting sick caused by the bee stings of this strange monster, scientists are working overtime to find an antidote to the venom, but as this moment there is no cure in sight, police are urging residents to stay indoors until further notice."
"Oh my god." Yuri Watanabe is stunned.
"This is Swarm, he sent those bees to infect anyone they can, he wants to take down the whole city, this is an epidemic." Spider-Man said.
"But you're not going to stand by and let this happen, right? Do you have a plan?" Yuri Watanabe said.
"I got this." Spider-Man holds up one of Swarm's dead bees.
"A bee?" Yuri Watanabe said.
"I took off from the web back at the precinct, hopefully this little critter will provide some answers we need, including how to cure the venom. Let's go, Ghost-Spider." Spider-Man said.
"Where are you going?" Yuri Watanabe said.
"I know someone who can find the cure more faster, it's our only hope." Spider-Man said.
"Okay, go." Yuri Watanabe said.
Kid Arachnid is with his father resting in bed and his mother tending to him until he spotted his teammates Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider leaving the hospital, he left his parents behind and follows after them as he has a feeling they're going after Swarm. Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider walked onto the rooftop as Kid Arachnid finally caught up to them before they could leave.
"Hey wait!" Kid Arachnid said.
Spider-Man turns around. "Kid Arachnid, what are you doing here?"
"If you guys are going after Swarm, count me in." Kid Arachnid said.
"We're not going after Swarm just yet, and you're not coming with us." Spider-Man said.
"Like hell I'm not, this guy almost killed my dad!" Kid Arachnid protests.
"We know and we're sorry, Ghost-Spider and I are going to see an old friend who can help us find a cure to the venom, you need to stay here and be with your family, Miles. I promise you we'll find a cure and we're going to save your dad, he's going to pull through this, trust us." Spider-Man said.
"I do trust you." Kid Arachnid takes a deep breath and calms himself down. "Okay, I'll stay for my dad, but promise me one thing."
"Anything." Spider-Man said.
"If you do find Swarm, promise me you'll take this son of a bitch down." Kid Arachnid said.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider gave Kid Arachnid the thumbs up and took on the promise, both heroes then jumps off the rooftop and swings through the city heading for Empire State University, Kid Arachnid stays behind as he's too emotional when it comes to his father, he needs to stay and be with his family at this moment of crisis, he trusts his teammates to find a cure to save his dad and everyone before they die out, the fate of this city is in their hands.
Later around 12:01 PM at Empire State University, the whole school is closed for the day as there's hardly any students attending classes given the crisis the whole city is facing. At the Science Department, Dr. Curtis Connors is in the lab all alone watching the news about a mysterious bee monster causing an epidemic all over the city and people are getting sick as hospitals are all full and many more are getting infected by bee venom.
"Hospitals here in the city are all currently full, F.E.M.A. are joining in setting up makeshift hospitals in schools and other largely spaced buildings as we speak, paramedics are taking other infected to other hospitals in the Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn. Still no cure in sight and this bee creature is still at large causing chaos to the city."
All of a sudden, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider came into the lab to find Dr. Connors watching the news, the scientist turns off the TV and turns to the spider heroes.
"Dr. Connors, thank god you're here." Ghost-Spider said.
"I heard on the news, it's terrible, if there's anything I can do..." Dr. Connors said.
"Actually, that's why we're here, we need your help." Spider-Man holds up one of Swarm's dead bees.
"Whoa, is that what I think it is?" Dr. Connors said.
"Yes, and we need your help to study it, for everyone's sakes." Spider-Man said.
"I don't know how much help I can provide, I'm an expert in herpetology, not entomology, this is way out of my area of expertise, but I'll try." Dr. Connors said.
(Later)
Minutes later, Dr. Connors is looking at the dissected bee under the microscope and noticed some unusual features in the bee itself.
"Huh, this is interesting." Dr. Connors looking through the microscope.
"What is it, Doc?" Spider-Man said.
"This bee has traces of human DNA in its genetic code which is unlike anything I've ever seen before, it's like this bee is merely a drone, a piece of a single hive." Dr. Connors said.
"Or a person. What about the venom?" Spider-Man said.
Dr. Connor took a syringe and draw out samples of the venom from the bee's sack, after he's done he placed it into the machine to be scanned, the computer is scanning the chemical makeup of the bee venom as Dr. Connors has enough to work with to figure out the solution to the cure.
"This is good, once I isolate the compound, I'll be able to figure out on creating a cure." Dr. Connors said.
"How long?" Spider-Man said.
Dr. Connors sighed. "Couple hours, maybe more, it's hard to say."
"Okay, do what you can, Doc." Spider-Man said.
"I will." Dr. Connors said.
"Ghost-Spider, I need you to wait here with Dr. Connors, once he finds the cure, take it to Stark Industries in Queens, they have the technology to mass produce it for the entire city, we're going to need as much of it as we can." Spider-Man said.
"What are you going to be doing, Spidey?" Ghost-Spider said.
"I'm going to stop the problem at the source, I'm going out to find Swarm and put a stop to this madness." Spider-Man said.
"Spider-Man, you can't, this guy has killer bees with deadly venom, if you get stung, he could kill you!" Ghost-Spider protested.
"Ghost-Spider, you seen what this guy has done to this city, imagine what he could do to the whole country, if we don't stop him soon, this becomes a pandemic." Spider-Man said.
Ghost-Spider sighed. "Alright, but you're going to need some serious protection against those bees."
"I got just the thing... I'm heading out, wish me luck." Spider-Man is leaving the lab.
Ghost-Spider watched Spider-Man leaving. "Good luck."
Later around 1:02 PM at the Spider-Cave, Ganke Lee is watching the news reports on the whole city facing an epidemic by a new deadly bee venom courtesy of Swarm, the number of infected are rising at a steady rate as more people are getting sick and hospitals are getting full, he's more worried for his friend Miles as his father is one of those victims infected by Swarm's venom, all of a sudden Spider-Man came into the headquarters to pick up something he'll need in his fight against Swarm.
"Hey Spidey, I heard about what happened? How's Miles?" Ganke Lee said.
"He's with his dad, he's trying to be strong and prayerful his father makes it through the day." Spider-Man said.
"The news is saying that bees are infecting more people with venom, care to explain what that's about?" Ganke Lee said.
"There's a new supervillain made entirely out of bees, he can command them at will and use them as weapons." Spider-Man said.
"Like the Candyman." Ganke Lee made a movie reference.
Spider-Man sighed. "Yeah, just like the Candyman."
Spider-Man then walks up to the table where his newly designed Spider-Armor lies untested, Ganke looked.
"You're thinking about taking the suit out?" Ganke Lee said.
"I couldn't think of a perfect time to test it out. But that won't do any good if I can't find Swarm." Spider-Man said.
"I might have a theory on how to find him." Ganke Lee has a suggestion.
"I'm all ears." Spider-Man said.
"Bees can't stray away from their hive for far too long, eventually they'll have to go back to their hive to rest up, if these bees work the same way other bees do, then..." Ganke Lee said.
"Then they'll have to go back to Swarm, if I can find one of them and follow it, it'll lead me straight to Swarm. Thanks, Ganke, time for me to suit up." Spider-Man grabs his Spider-Armor and walks away to change into it.
(Hospital)
At the same time back at the hospital where many doctors and nurses are working overtime to help stabilize the many infected, Rio Morales volunteers to do her part in helping people in need of medical attention, Miles is with his dad who is all feverish as his condition is only getting much worse the longer the venom stays in his system, he took off a dried up rag on his father's forehead and replaced it with a wet one, Miles is getting more worried than ever for his dad's life, he prays that his friends find a cure to this venom for everyone's sake including his father's.
Miles sighed. "Come on, Spidey, everyone is counting on you."
(Empire State University)
Back at ESU labs, Ghost-Spider stays here awaiting for Dr. Connors to come up with the cure to the venom, he tested many variations of cure he created and tested it against the blood infected with venom, but so far none of them are a success. Ghost-Spider is getting worried that the people of this city don't have much time left before the venom kills them before the cure could ever be found, including Miles's dad. Dr. Connors test another variant and applies it to the blood as he looks through the microscope, he sees that this variant is fighting the venom and destroying it's properties, the blood is being cure and returns to normal.
Dr. Connors chuckles in success. "I did it, I finally did it, the venom is gone."
"You're saying you've found the cure?" Ghost-Spider said.
"Indeed." Dr. Connors smiled.
Dr. Connors then make another batch of the cure for Ghost-Spider, after's done making it, he hands it to Ghost-Spider.
"Thank you, Dr. Connors, I'm going to head for Stark Industries to start mass production, wish me luck." Ghost-Spider is leaving.
"Good luck, Ghost-Spider, the fate of this city is in your hands now." Dr. Connors said.
Ghost-Spider rushed out the lab and made it outside as she jumps and swings away from the university heading towards Queens at high speed with the cure.
Meanwhile in the middle of Central Park, Swarm is meditating as he's linked to his bee drones spread out throughout the entire city, he smiles as he's happy that everyone in this city is dying very slowly, at this rate the whole city will succumb to a plague he caused. A group of bees are returning back to the park towards their hive called Swarm, coming in swinging and landing down in the ground, Spider-Man managed to trace the bees to Central Park, he is now donned in his Spider-Armor MK II all black with gold lining around it, Swarm opens his bee eyes to gazed upon the hero in his new suit.
Swarm chuckled. "Finally you come before me. Did you come to submit and beg for mercy?"
"No, I'm here to stop you." Spider-Man said.
"You can't stop me, it's already too late, this city has already succumb to my poison and this is just the beginning." Swarm said.
"Too many innocent people are dying, including children!" Spider-Man protested.
"That's not really my problem, I have no love for your Americans. Your country took everything from me and the Fatherland, at least I shall succeed where the Reich has fail, I will destroy this country one city at a time until there nobody left." Swarm revealed his true intentions.
"You're talking about unleashing genocide, I won't let that happen!" Spider-Man protested.
"You're a fool, you're no match for me and you shall die for your incompetence." Swarm threatens Spider-Man.
Swarm unleashed his bees to attack Spider-Man as the armor he's wearing is protecting him from the stingers of the bees, Swarm frowned to see that his bees are unable to penetrate his armor, it's providing him protection. Spider-Man then swings in closer and came in for a drop kick as Swarm dispersed into thousands of bees, even Spidey is having trouble trying to fight his enemy, the bees hover in the air chuckling with Swarm's voice.
"Is that best you got? Pathetic!" Swarm's voice.
The bees all swarmed in and pushed Spider-Man hard against the nearby tree, pinning him down with all their strength, Spidey is having a time trying to move and escape, the bees all together displays incredible strength as they're attempting to find a way around the armor he's wearing, he sees another nearby tree and webbed it up, he pulls the line hard enough that he got pulled away and the bees are getting loose from his armor. Spidey managed to escape but Swarm isn't finished with him yet as his bees are heading his way, Spidey zipped towards another tree making his escape. Swarm picked up his skeleton and chases after Spider-Man as the hero is swinging tree to tree, Swarm is closing in on the hero, he unleashed a powerful bee swarm upon him and knocked him off the air as he came crashing down upon a hot dog cart in the park, the propane tank started to leak and Spidey is covered in wieners, hot dog buns, and the wiener water.
"Ah, great, you turned me into a Frankfurter." Spider-Man shakes off the wieners.
"You mock my hometown! I'm from Frankfurt, you American pig!" Swarm yells.
"Oh, I had no idea, I meant no offense." Spider-Man said.
"For all your efforts, you still couldn't stop me and this city shall die as a result of your failure." Swarm said.
Swarm comes in closer and hovering above the wrecked hot dog cart, Swarm is unaware of the propane gas leaking as he has no sense of smell, Spider-Man is trying to figure out a way to stop Swarm from continuing his plan for genocide on the whole country, he's too dangerous to be loose, he then noticed the hot dog cart is leaking gas and has a way to put an end to all this madness.
"It's over, this city shall burn!" Swarm said.
"You first!" Spider-Man makes his move.
Spider-Man fired a taser web towards the hot dog cart as Swarm looks down below his feet to see the cart has a leak from the propane tank, he panics as the taser spark ignites the gas and blows up the whole tank, unleashing flames all over.
"NOOOOO!" Swarm yells out in flames.
Spider-Man used his arm to cover his eyes as Swarm was consumed by the flames, the screams suddenly stopped as Spidey lets his arm down to get a view of the fire from the hot dog cart, he sees thousands of bees all burned up on the ground as coming out of the fire is the skeleton of Fritz von Meyer falling down onto the ground without any bees to support it. Swarm has died out in that fire, but to Spider-Man, as far as he's concerned, Swarm was just a ghost holding on to the past, at least Swarm won't be able to hurt anymore people. Unknown to the hero, one of Swarm's bees managed to escape from the fire in time, it's very high up in the air flying away from Central Park as fast as it could.
Around 3:21 PM, Ghost-Spider is at Stark Industries in Queens overlooking the mass production of the cure for the Swarm venom, it has already mass produced enough cure for the whole city and putting them in boxes as everyone is loading them up onto trucks to be delivered as soon as possible. Some trucks have already been loaded up and left Stark Industries, they're heading across the bridge into the city, as soon as they've entered Manhattan, they've all split up and head for their respective hospitals. At one of the hospitals, the truck honks it's horns and letting the doctors know that they've finally arrived, the doctors all rushed outside as the truck stopped, everyone started unloading the boxes from the trailer.
Sometime later inside the hospital itself, the doctors opens up the boxes and it's full of the antidote needed to cure the patients of the venom, every doctor got to work using the needles to draw out the antidote and started injecting them into the patients, each of them are starting to feel the effects of the antidote doing it's work and cleansing the system of the venom, they're starting to feel better slowly. Rio Morales still working as a nurse draws out the antidote into the needle and began to inject it into her husband Jefferson all sleeping, Miles looks at his dad and prays that this works, the antidote is coursing throughout Jefferson's system fighting off Swarm venom. Rio and Miles waits to see what will happen, all of a sudden Jefferson is opening up his eyes and finally wakes up, he looks at his wife and son.
"Dad." Miles is happy.
"Jeff, mi amor." Rio tears up smiling.
Jefferson Davis smiles. "Hey honey."
Rio felt happy that her husband made it, she couldn't help but hug him right there in the bed, Miles is happy his father gets to live another day, after Jefferson is done hugging his wife, Miles gave his father a hug and is glad his dad will be okay, he still hugs his dad and looks out the window to see Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider across on a rooftop waving to him, Miles gave them a thumb up as they've saved the entire city including his father.
Ghost-Spider sniffed at something unusual in the air. "Why do you smell like hot dogs?"
"Long story, speaking of which, I should head back to the Spider-Cave, I need a shower. By the way, you did great, thanks to you delivering the antidote in time, the whole city finally has the cure to the Swarm venom." Spider-Man complimented Ghost-Spider.
"Thanks, you're not so bad yourself, at least you've stopped Swarm from infecting more innocent people, things could've taken a turn for the worst." Ghost-Spider complimented Spider-Man back.
"I'll see you guys later, there's one place we need to be later on." Spider-Man jumps off the rooftops.
Spider-Man swings through the city back to the Spider-Cave to get cleaned up, he's not done yet, he and his friends still have one more place to go before the day is over. At least the whole city will get to live another day now that everyone is being treated and cured of the Swarm venom, Miles still has his father, life goes back to normal for everyone.
Around 5:01 PM at Empire State University, Dr. Connors is watching the news on the end of the epidemic as the antidotes delivered by Stark Industries are being dispersed throughout hospitals everywhere and curing the infected, nobody has died, looks like Ghost-Spider was successful in delivering the cure to Stark Industries for mass production of the antidote for the entire city, Dr. Connors felt relief that his contributions in making the cure has saved many live today.
"A day of relief for all has come, just when things seemed to look grim for the patients, a miracle happened as doctors are treating the infected with the antidote delivered to all hospitals courtesy of Stark Industries for mass producing enough of the cure for the whole city, looks like things in New York are getting back to normal soon now that this Swarm has been presumed dead."
Dr. Connors turns off the TV as he turns to see Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider, and Kid Arachnid here in the lab, Spidey looks like he brought something big wrapped in webbing around his back like a cocoon.
"I was watching the news, great job." Dr. Connors said.
"We can't take all the credit, if it wasn't for you, Doc, we may not have found the cure in time, thanks to you everyone in the whole city gets to live another day." Spider-Man said.
Dr. Connors smiled and felt proud. "To be honest, I never imagine that I still have a lot to give to society, given my... past."
"You're still a good man and a great scientist, because of you, a lot of lives were saved, including someone close to me." Kid Arachnid said.
"Thank you... what's that you got on your back?" Dr. Connors noticed something Spider-Man is carrying.
Spider-Man placed the cocoon on the table and opens it up to show off the skeleton of Fritz von Meyer, a bit burned but still intact.
"A skeleton?' Dr. Connors said.
"Not just any skeleton, the skeleton of Fritz von Meyer, Swarm. I brought it here to be studied, now that he's dead, the whole city won't have to worry about Swarm anytime soon." Spider-Man said.
Everyone gazed upon the skeleton of Fritz von Meyer now that the supervillain is declared dead once again, or is he...
(Staten Island)
The Swarm bee that escaped from being burned out is flying over Staten Island and heading towards one of the parks where another bee hive is hanging above a tree, this bee enters the hive as a voice of Swarm is giving out a cackle, everyone thinks he's dead, but they haven't seen the last of Swarm, he'll come back one day.
