Yo! got a few filler chapters for you all, mostly focusing on Anthony and Bonnie. We're gonna go back to canon after those two...

Now...my plans for the SOL...they're gonna be revealed real soon. For now, enjoy.

Jaden's return was met with much fanfare and celebration of his defeat over Aster. But his time away had brought some changes to the island. One such change was a man joining the teachers. He was called Mr. Ryuga and was brought in by Edgar.

Ryuga was of the same mindset of Edgar. CDA should be making stars and pros without the trash holding back the so called elites. Himself being a minor pro he thought highly of himself.

He wasn't an official teacher YET. Midori, not liking the man eyeing Alexis, Jasmine, Mindy, Fonda or ANY of the girls, gave a stipulation. He had to win fifty duels against teachers AND students.

Well, Ryuga didn't go after the teachers, but he went after the students. After his duels, rumors started on how the man had won the duels but took their rarest cards from his defeated opponents. Since he was not an official teacher, he was not bound by the forbidden Ante rules. Naturally, many of the students were pissed off about it.

None more so then Anthony DePardieu. He had just watched the man duel his forty-ninth duel, winning it. Further, he saw the man kick the duelist, a Slifer Red, in the face. The student had fallen to the ground in shock from the loss. The man wore a smug smile on his face, calling him worthless, how his parents would be ashamed of such a child. Anthony saw nothing but red at that.

"Pardon moi..." He snarled, stepping up. "But you, sir, go too far!"

Ryuga looked up, adjusting his glasses.

"I'm sorry, but I was teaching this Slifer Slime an important life lesson." He said.

"How to be a huge asshole?" Anthony snarled.

He saw the man's face twitch and gain a tick mark. Good. An annoyed duelist was a predictable one.

"You don't seem to understand here, little boy. I am going to be a teacher here...like it or not."

"Well, we will see! You have found your next opponent." Anthony snarled, readying his disk.

Ryuga blinked before smirking.

"Very well." He said, deploying his own disk.

"DUEL!"

Ryuga: 8000/Anthony: 8000

"I will start first." Ryuga said, drawing a card.

The man looked over his hand, Anthony's eyes narrowed. The previous duel was running through his mind. The Slifer couldn't use spell cards for some strange reason. He knew it was not a disk malfunction given that Jaden drilled into their heads to get their disks maintained each and every day. So what else was it?

"I play Pot of Greed to draw two cards. Now I summon Don Turtle in attack mode." Ryuga said, shaking Anthony from his thoughts.

(Don Turtle – LV/***, Attribute/WATER, ATK/1100, DEF/1200, Type/Reptile/Effect.

When this card is Normal Summoned or Flip Summoned, you can Special Summon any number of "Don Turtle"(s) from your hand.)

A tiny monster appeared, an orange shell with two glowing eyes from the front. Ryuga smirked.

"Thanks to my Don's effect, I can summon any number of don turtles from my hand. Here's my second one."

A second shell joined the first, Anthony frowning. Ryuga placed two cards facedown and ended his turn. Drawing, Anthony looked at his hand. He knew something was wrong with spell cards...but what?! He needed to figure it out.

"Alright. I play Pot of Greed!" Anthony said, showing the card.

Only...nothing happened! The card did not appear nor did it seem to activate according to the disk. NOW Anthony was really sure. Ryuga had done something yet he wasn't sure what. Scowling at the man laughing, Anthony took the card and placed it in his grave.

"Now I am sure. Somehow, you are preventing moi duel disk from getting the signal of the Spell cards."

"Whatever makes you say that, worm?" Ryuga sneered. "I'm a teacher, you are a student."

"Perhaps, but I have been trained by Jaden Yuki. Any hopes you have of there being any stars will be crushed by him." Anthony said, a smirk of his own. "But! Enough of that. I play Gem-Knight Alexandrite in attack mode!"

(Gem-Knight Alexandrite – LV/****, Attribute/EARTH, ATK/1800, DEF/1200, Type/Rock/Effect.

You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Gem-Knight" Normal Monster from your Deck.)

Alexandrite appeared in a shower of gems, striking a heroic pose. The armor of the monster was white, various gem pieces covering its elbows, knees, and chest. Anthony smirked, placing two cards facedown.

"Now, I go on the attack! Take out one of zhose Don Turtles!"

The monster roared, charging at one of the turtles. Ryuga snarled, revealing one of his facedown cards.

"Go, Negate attack!"

Anthony scowled, watching his Gem-Knight return to his field. He ended his turn allowing the man to go again. Drawing, he revealed his card to be a spell.

"Ultra Evolution Pill! I tribute one of my Don Turtles and gain the ability to summon any Dinosaur I want."

(Ultra Evolution Pill – Type/Spell/Effect

Tribute 1 Reptile monster; Special Summon 1 Dinosaur monster from your hand.)

One of the turtles vanished in a ball of light, only for that light to morph and shift into a large creature. Anthony scowled, seeing that it was Ultimate Tyranno.

(Ultimate Tyranno – LV/********, Attribute/EARTH, ATK/3000, DEF/2200, Type/Dinosaur/Effect.

This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls, once each. During your Battle Phase, if you control an "Ultimate Tyranno" that can attack, monsters other than "Ultimate Tyranno" cannot attack.)

Ultimate Tyranno was a large dark scaled dinosaur with several spikes jutting out of its head and back. Its teeth gleamed in the sun, the roar deafening around the two. Ryuga smirked.

That smirk vanished when his monster fell into a large hole. Several hands grabbed the dino's legs, dragging it in.

"W-what?!" Ryuga gasped out.

"Zhat is moi Bottomless Trap Hole trap, monsieur." Anthony said, smug. "I can play it when you special summon a monster. It seems you are preventing me from using spells but not zhe traps."

Ryuga snarled, checking his hand. He didn't have another reptile to summon or enough monsters to summon another dinosaur. He ended his turn, Anthony taking over.

Drawing, the blonde saw it was his signature spell. Yet with the way his opponent was making his duel disk act up, he couldn't really use it. Still...he had other means. He needed to get it first.

"I use moi Alexandrite's effect! By tributing it, I can summon from moi deck a Normal Gem-Knight monster." Anthony said calmly. "I choose Gem-Knight Garnet."

(Gem-Knight Garnet – LV/****, Attribute/EARTH, ATK/1900, DEF/0, Type/Pyro.)

Garnet was a a red armor wearing monster, one of its fists ablaze with fire. Ryuga scowled, seeing the attack power of the monster. Anthony smirked, having his Garnet attack the lone Don Turtle. The monster was dispatched easily by a fire ball, Ryuga sneering.

Ryuga: 7200

"Are you done?" He demanded.

"Not by a long shot, monsieur! I reveal moi facedown! Call of zhe Haunted! I bring back moi Alexandrite!"

The gem covered monster returned, making Ryuga scared. Anthony caught the fear and smirked. Ordering his monster to attack, the monster was more then happy to oblige. Ryuga howled from the fist to his face.

Ryuga: 5400

"I set another two cards facedown and end." Anthony said.

Ryuga drew, enraged. He was being shown up. HIM! Looking at the card, he nodded.

"I play Gagagigo in attack mode!"

(Gagagigo – LV/****, Attribute/WATER, ATK/1850, DEF/1000, Type/Reptile.)

A humanoid lizard appeared next to Ryuga, getting into a combat mode. Here, Anthony frowned. He'd only take a mere fifty points if Ryuga attacked. No, he was doing something else. Ryuga caught the look and smirked.

"You're correct that I'm using my Gagagigo for something else. I play another Ultra Pill! Meet my Super Conductor Tyranno!"

(Super Conductor Tyranno – LV/********, Attribute/LIGHT, ATK/3300, DEF/1400, Type/Dinosaur/Effect.

Once per turn: You can Tribute 1 monster; inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. This card cannot declare an attack the turn this effect is activated.)

The monster was a massive dino, covered in metal and spikes. Anthony was reminded of Cyber Dragon's armor when he saw it on the beast. Ryuga smirked, ordering an attack at Alexandrite. Anthony scowled, but readied himself for the blast.

From the dino came a massive thunderbolt, blasting Alexandrite into dust.

Anthony: 6500

"I-" Ryuga began to say

"I activate moi trap card, Brilliant Spark!" Anthony interrupted.

(Brilliant Spark – Type/Trap/Normal.

If a face-up "Gem-Knight" monster(s) you control is destroyed by your opponent's attack or card effect: Target 1 of those destroyed monsters; inflict damage to your opponent equal to its original ATK. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can send 1 "Gem-Knight" card from your hand to the Graveyard; add this card to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Brilliant Spark" per turn.)

"Since you took out moi Alexandrite, I will give you some damage in return!"

Ryuga: 3600

Now Ryuga was pissed! How dare the little brat make another move like that again! Anthony smirked, taunting the man non-verbally. Clenching his hands into a fist, Ryuga ended his turn. Anthony noticed that the man had a tick under his right eye. Good, he was getting under the fool's skin. Drawing, Anthony looked at the card. Seeing it was exactly what he needed, he checked his hand and saw another trap. After he did some quick math in his head, he nodded.

"I activate a trap effect in moi grave. By sending Gem-Knight Lapus to moi grave, I regain zhe trap." Anthony explained, discarding a card. "Next, I switch Garnet to defense and place one monster in facedown defense mode. I end my turn with these two cards facedown."

Ryuga drew, playing the card instantly. It was another Gagagigo, but it didn't stick around.

"I use my Super Conductor Tyranno's effect! I tribute my newly summoned monster to deal a thousand points to you."

The reptile monster became a ball of electricity, the tail of the Tyranno blasting it at Anthony.

Anthony: 5500

"I end my turn, you brat."

"All you did was give moi a chance." Anthony snarled, drawing. "Now...I use moi trap, Jar of Greed to draw a card."

Drawing again, Anthony looked at his hand and smirked.

"You think Spell cards are zhe only way to summon Fusion monsters, no?"

"Yes. They are the only way to preform Fusion summons." Ryuga said, his tone smug.

Anthony scowled. He knew that the man was lecturing him like one would a five year old child. Well, let's see how he liked this move!

"Well...let me prove you wrong then! I reveal moi trap card! Behold, Pyroxene Fusion!"

"WHAT?!" Ryuga shouted, shocked.

(Pyroxene Fusion – Type/Trap/Normal.

Send, from your hand or your side of the field to the Graveyard, the Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a "Gem-Knight" Fusion Monster Card, then Special Summon that Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.)

"This trap allows me to Fusion without the need of moi Fusion Spells! So I send Gem-Knight Tourmaline, Lapis, and finally, Obsidian to moi grave." Anthony said, choosing his three monsters and placing them into his grave. "When Gems cluster, they create zhe most brilliant of shines! I fusion summon...Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Diamond!"

(Lady Brilliant Diamond – LV/**********, Attribute/EARTH, ATK/3400, DEF/2000, Type/Rock/Fusion/Effect.

3 "Gem-Knight" monsters
Must first be Fusion Summoned with the above Fusion Materials. You can only Special Summon "Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Diamond(s)" once per turn. Once per turn: You can send 1 face-up "Gem-Knight" monster you control to the Graveyard, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Gem-Knight" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions.)

Lady Diamond appeared next to Garnet. She wore gray armor, several diamonds on her chest. Two large 'wings' adorned her shoulders, two smaller 'wings' on her neck. A cape flowed behind her and in her hand was a broadsword. She looked at Ryuga, brandishing her sword. Here, Anthony smirked.

"Moi Gem-Knight Obsidian's effect comes into play. I can special summon one level four or lower normal monster in moi grave. I choose my Tourmaline!"

(Gem-Knight Tourmaline – LV/****, Attribute/EARTH, ATK/1600, DEF/1800, Type/Thunder.)

A man in yellow armor appeared next to Anthony, arms crackling with electricity. Anthony smirked.

"Now, I use moi Lady's effect! I send one of moi gem-knights to zhe grave and then summon from my Extra deck a Gem-Knight Fusion monster, ignoring its conditions!"

"WHAT?!" Ryuga screeched again.

Anthony ignored it, placing his Tourmaline back into his grave.

"What is a lady without her lord? I summon from my Extra deck, my second most powerful beast, Gem-Knight Master Diamond!"

(Gem-Knight Master Diamond – LV/*********, Attribute/EARTH, ATK/2900, DEF/2500, Type/Rock/Fusion/Effect.

3 "Gem-Knight" monsters
Must first be Fusion Summoned. This card gains 100 ATK for each "Gem-" monster in your Graveyard. Once per turn: You can banish 1 Level 7 or lower "Gem-Knight" Fusion Monster from your Graveyard; until the End Phase, this card's name becomes that monster's, and replace this effect with that monster's original effects.)

A tall man in platinum armor appeared next to Lady Diamond. It carried a broadsword adorn with seven gems, all of the colors of a rainbow. A long royal cloak fluttered in the breeze as the horned helmet of one of the Leaders of the Gem-Knights looked down at Ryuga.

"Moi Master Diamond gains a hundred points for each Gem-Knight in moi grave. I count four."

Master Diamond – ATK/2900 → 3300

"Next, I shall switch moi Garnet into attack mode. Now, I reveal moi final facedown trap. Royal Decree!"

"NO!" Ryuga all but screamed.

Royal Decree made it so he couldn't use his traps! He would be a sitting duck! Anthony smirked.

"Lady Diamond...deal with zhis fuel's Super Tyranno!"

The female monster nodded, dashing forward and cutting the overgrown lizard to shreds.

Ryuga: 3500

"Garnet, strike!"

A fireball struck Ryuga right in the face, making him stumble back.

Ryuga: 1600

"Now...it iz time for Master Diamond to end this." Anthony said, scowling.

The massive monster raised its broadsword up high, Ryuga staring in shock. Like it was in slow motion, the blade fell downward onto the man. There was a blast of dust and smoke, Ryuga crying out in pain.

Ryuga: 0

"That is that." Anthony said, scowling.

"Well done, Anthony!" A voice said, making the two start.

They turned to see Midori standing there, clapping. Anthony quickly bowed to the woman, only for her to wave him off.

"No need to bow. You played well." She praised, looking at Ryuga, her face morphing into an ugly snarl. "As for you, Ryuga. Don't think I didn't notice your little trick. I looked you up. You were BANNED from the Pro Circuit because you attempted your little cheat that you used in the Minors..."

Ryuga gulped, stating that he had no idea what she was talking about. Here, Midori snatched his hand, holding it up. Anthony saw a ring with a large gem on it. But his keen eye saw that the gem was a fake! Snapping his fingers, Anthony exclaimed in shock.

"ZHAT IS IT! ZHAT IS HOW HE JAMMED MOI SPELLS!"

"Right in one. I was quite suspicious when I got several dozen complaints of duel disks malfunctioning when dueling Ryuga. A quick check showed that they were all in working order...leading me to my research. The League discovered his method when this slimeball dueled Jaden."

The king not being able to summon his signature monsters or play his signature card had made the Pro League suspicious of Ryuga. One quick check revealed the deception. He was banned right then and there.

"But now you seemed to try and join Edgar in his ideas. Sadly for you, but great for us, is that since you lost a single duel...you don't get the job here." Midori said, snapping her fingers.

The DAS showed up then, surrounding Ryuga.

"I expect you to return ALL of the stolen cards before you leave." Midori snarled.

Ryuga just hung his head. He had only been humiliated like this once. Anthony smirked, bowing to Midori again before leaving to go let the rest know what had happened.

Little short, but quite sweet. For those who don't known of Ryuga, he's a manga character that Jaden defeated. Figured he'd be useful cannon fodder.
