Yo! Sorry for taking so long. Skyrim dragged me back in. Yes, I have a new laptop, but I use it strictly for gaming. Anyways, Sartorius continues to distract Jaden with pros. But now, we get to see one return. Enjoy!
Mikey was in a foul mood. Ever since he had dueled Bonnie and lost, he had remained on the island. His reasoning? To try and convince her to leave Anthony and get back with him. He ended up camping out in the woods, using his survivalist training to get through the weeks. Due to his lucrative business of being a Hit Duelist, he had money to spare for at least a decade before he needed to get more money. So getting the camping equipment air dropped to him along with supplies wasn't that big of an issue.
He woke to the fourth week of him living in the woods. He was still no closer to figuring out how to make Bonnie listen to him. As he prepped his breakfast, his phone went off. Sighing, he looked at the number and answered it.
"Yes?"
"Mister Dillo. I am Sartorius, Manager of Aster Phoenix."
"Phoenix? What's the manager of a washed up duelist want with me?"
On the other end, Sartorius grit his teeth at hearing Aster be called a washed up, but he held his fury in check. He wanted to hire Mikey to duel someone. Hearing that, Mikey sat up some more. Listening to the details, Mikey nodded.
"Alright, you got it...need me to win?"
"While that is preferable, I don't believe you will win. You will be paid, win or lose. I just need you to distract the target."
"That I can do...the target is-?"
"Jaden Yuki."
Mikey was a lot of things; greedy, egotistical, even a criminal given how he attacked many of his opponents.
Stupid? That was something he was not.
"Attacking the Supreme King...you gotta be kidding me."
"I assure you I am not. I am well aware that you will lose. But this will be your chance to get to miss Bonnie."
Mikey stilled at that. The thought wormed itself into his brain and took root. After a few minutes, he made his choice.
"I'm in."

Mikey had tracked Jaden down easily enough...but getting him alone was another matter. The boy never went any where without an escort of some kind. The Blonde, Redhead, or Black haired girls being around him the most. Mikey briefly wondered if the King was playing all three, but disregarded such a thought. He saw the members Sartorius mentioned.
They were a group of seven boys, all large and muscle. Mikey gave a signal to them and they nodded. Everyone waited as the three ladies went past, the seven boys getting into Jaden's path. The three girls turned when they saw that Jaden wasn't with them.
"Hey, what's the big idea!?" The red head snapped.
"Jasmine, calm down." The black haired one said, glaring at the backs. "Jay's got this."
"Mindy's right, Jasmine."
"Easy for you to say, Alexis! Bad enough that Anthony and Miles are part of this...whatever the fuck this is!" Jasmine snapped.
Mikey perked up at that. Anthony was part of Sartorius's crew? That meant Bonnie...
"Mikey Dillo..." Jaden's voice cut through his thoughts. "Bonnie warned me about you."
"Oh she did did she? What'd she say?"
"That you're a spineless worm who would rather not face challenges like a real man and attack your opponent's when they aren't looking."
Mikey winced, seeing the smug smirk on Jaden's face. Now royally mad, Mikey activated his disk and slotted his deck. Jaden did the same, picking a random deck from his deck boxes. The two activated their disks, a single cry echoing.
"DUEL!"
Mikey: 8000/Jaden: 8000
"I'll start first." Mikey said, drawing a card.
Looking over it and his hand, he revealed the drawn card.
"Graceful Charity. I draw three while tossing out two cards." Mikey said, drawing his three cards.
Checking them over, he chose two and placed them in his graveyard. Jaden's eyes narrowed, seeing that they were both Quillbolt Hedgehogs. That could only mean one thing. He had a tuner or two in his hand. Mikey revealed Double Summon, smirking.
"I'll play my Jerry Beans Man in attack mode."
(Jerry Beans Man – LV/***, Attribute/EARTH, ATK/1750, DEF/0, Type/Plant.)
A colorful little being appeared. It was a humanoid jellybean with a small cloak, carrying a small sword and shield. Mikey played another card, Demotion.

Jerry Beans Man – LV/*** → *
"I'll place this facedown and end." Mikey said, a single card appearing behind his monster.
"I'll draw then." Jaden said, taking a card.
Looking over his hand, he chose a card, revealing it.
"Polymerization?! Not Dark Fusion?!" Mikey yelped.
"That's right. I use it to fuse my Elemental HEROES Avian and Burstinatrix together. Meet my Elemental HERO Flame Wingman."

Flame Wingman was a large one-winged being with green skin on the right and red on the left, a dragon's tail with a large dragon's head on for his left hand. Twin red eyes glared at the monster.
"I attack with Flame Wingman."
The hero charged at the tiny monster, Mikey smirking.
"I reveal my facedown, Scrap-Iron Scarecrow."
The tiny pile of scrap metal appeared, absorbing Flame's Dragon Fire. Jaden frowned, playing two cards facedown before ending. Mikey drew, not bothering to look at the card. He played Junk Synchron, gaining one of his Quillbots. He summoned the other one by its own effect, placing it just next to Jerry Beans.
"Now...I tune my level three Junk Synchron to my level two Quillbolt that I summoned with its effect. Let's blaze a path to victory...Junk Warrior!"
The three rings surrounded the tiny hedgehog, two stars joining it. There was a shaft of light and a glare of red.

Junk Warrior is a blue armored monster, its right arm larger then its left, a white scarf around its neck. Twin red eyes glared at Flame Wingman. Twin jet engines roared to life, Mikey smirking.
"Junk Warrior gains the total attack power of all level two or lower monsters I control...I have two."
"Wait, Jerry Beans is a level three." Mindy pointed out.
"Not with Demotion in play!" Alexis cried out.
Junk Warrior – ATK/2300 + 1750 + 800 → 4850
"Huh...not bad. You actually thought ahead with your Demotion Spell." Jaden said, impressed.
"Whatever. Junk! Attack his Flame Wingman!"
The monster's jets roared to life, soaring at the Hero. Jaden frowned, revealing his facedown.
"Hero Barrier!"
(Hero Barrier – Type/Trap/Normal.
Negate 1 attack from an opponent's monster. You must control a face-up "Elemental HERO" monster to resolve this effect.)
A fan appeared before the fist, blocking the attack from striking. Junk Warrior returned to Mikey's side, the boy glaring.
"Course you'd have that..." He muttered, placing a card facedown.
"Always do." Jaden said, drawing.
Seeing the card, he played it right away.
"Fusion Sage. This allows me to gain another Polymerization from my deck." Jaden said, taking the card.
Playing the gained card, he chose Flame Wingman and his Sparkman. The two heroes jumped into the vortex, a bright shining light coming from it. Mikey covered his eyes, watching with a scowl.
"Meet Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman!"

Shining Flare was a man covered in silver armor that glowed like the sun. A pair of razor metal wings were spread out. The helmet of the new HERO had a single red optic on it, glowing faintly. Jaden smirked.
"Flare here gains an additional three hundred points for each Elemental HERO in my grave. I count four. Avian, Burst, Flame, and Spark."
Flare Wingman – ATK/2500 + 1200 → 3700
Mikey frowned. The monster was still too weak. Jaden smirked, revealing another HERO, Elemental HERO Prisma. The monster appeared, roaring. Jaden then used its effect, revealing Mudballman. He sent Bubbleman to the grave, Mikey scowling as Flare gained another three hundred points.
"Still not strong enough to take on my Junk..." Mikey pointed out.
"So you think. Now, I play R – Righteous Justice and use it to take out your facedowns! Now that means no more Scrap-Iron Scarecrow."
Mikey frowned, watching the card blow up.
"Flare! ATTACK!"
Mikey was dumbfounded. Why would Jaden attack!? He got his answer when Jaden revealed a quick-play spell card.
"Meet my Fast Stack spell. What this does is allows me to rearrange my deck."
(Fast Stack – Type/Spell/Quick-Play.
Choose 5 cards from your deck and place them in any order on the top of your deck.)
Jaden pulled his deck out and selected five cards. He placed them them on the top of his deck and slid it back in. Confused, Mikey just scoffed.
"Junk Warrior! Attack and destroy that Flare!"
"Not so fast! I play Destruction of Destiny!"
Mikey's eyes went wide. Destruction of Destiny would allow Jaden to send the top five cards of his deck to the grave...
"Fast Stack! You-!"
"Choose the cards I'll lose." Jaden said, smirking placing the five cards into his grave.
Elemental HERO Poison Rose. Elemental HERO Ocean. Knospe. Heat. And Lady Heat.
Mikey swore at seeing the five heroes. That meant Flare gained another fifteen hundred! Their spirits joined Flare, the monster glowing brighter.
Flare Wingman – ATK/4000 + 1500 → 5500
Mikey watched as Flare tore right through Junk Warrior.
Mikey: 7350
"Then there's Flare Wingman's power. When he destroys a monster, you take damage equal to that monster's attack."
"SHIT!" Mikey swore, seeing Flare prepare a orb of fire.
The orb crashed into Mikey, burning him in holy white fire. Said boy hissed, covering his face from the attack.
Mikey: 2500
"Crap! Gotta take out that monster, FAST." Mikey panted, watching as Jaden placed two more cards facedown.
Mikey drew, looking at the card. Seeing it was a Monster Reborn card, he played it instantly.
"I regain my Junk Warrior in attack mode."
Jaden quirked an eyebrow. Flare was stronger then that monster...why play it? Another Junk Synchron appeared next to the warrior, but no other monster came out. Instead, it revved its engine and flew around Jerry Beans Man.
"I tune level three Junk Synchron to level one Jerry Beans Man. Meet...Armory Arm!"

An arm with red claws and black armor appeared next to Junk Warrior. Mikey activated its effect. Rockets came to life and the arm soared through the air. Junk Warrior roared up as well, its smaller arm extended out. The Arm monster attached itself, making the Synchro monster look more intimidating.
Junk Warrior – ATK/2300 + 1000 → 3300
"Warrior, attack his Prisma!" Mikey shouted, the monster charging.
The new arm easily sliced through the diamond monster, Jaden covering his face.
Jaden: 6400
"Armory Arm is the Synchro version of your Flame Wingman and Shining Flare. When a monster equipped with it destroys a monster, you take the attack power as damage."
"What?!" The three girls cried out in shock.
From Armory Arm, several sparks shot out and crashed into Jaden making him hiss.
Jaden: 4700
"I'll wrap this up with a facedown." Mikey said, playing another Scrap-Iron.
Jaden drew, only to reveal one of the facedowns. The card was a twister with brown feathers.
"Dust Tornado!?"
"Yep. With this, I take out your facedown." Jaden snarled, making Mikey groan.
The trap picked up the facedown and it was revealed to be another scrap-iron scarecrow. Sucked up into the vortex, Mikey grimaced. He had lost.
"Shining Flare! Attack and end this!"
The Hero charged at the Junk Warrior, easily slicing through it. Mikey howled in pain as the winds cut through him.
Mikey: 0
"S-shit!" Mikey hissed, dropping to a knee.
The gathered SoL members quickly scattered, Jaden glaring down at Mikey. Without a word, he walked away, rejoining the three. Mikey didn't watch them go, but pulled out his phone. Dialing a number, he let it ring. On the other end, Sartorius's voice came.
"You distracted him?"
"I did. I lost, but as you said, that was expected."
"Quite. I've forwarded the amount. Thank you, Mikey and good-bye."
Hanging up himself, Mikey smirked. He may have lost...but he got one over Jaden Yuki.

Salome fell on her knees, gasping and panting. Before her stood Jerome, smirking.
"I...see it! I see it all!" Salome said in excitement. "Jerome, thank you!"
"Soon, all will see the light, Sally. Come..."
Salome got up, following Jerome. Everything was coming together for the SoL.
