Yo! Hope you all are having a great day today. This and the next chapter are going to be VERY different from canon at least in terms of certain characters. Now, many of you asked if the Vile HEROes are based on the Four Horsemen. Not to sound rude, but duh! As I told one reviewer in EoD, the original Japanese dub had a lot of Judeo-Christan subtext and I am trying to stick with that in terms of Original cards and I figured the Four were perfect for this.
Now, we get to meet the Light Brigade..but like I said, its going to go differently this time then in Canon.
Just north of Domino city, in a mountain range and a cave, a woman sat. At her side was a staff, tags on it. She picked up her staff, clanking the bottom against the ground. There was a swirl of wind and two hooded figures knelt before her.
"My brother has contacted me. The one chosen to stand in his way is arriving at the city soon. Remove his powerbase...make him easier to turn to the Light." The woman said, tossing two cards at the pair.
Wordlessly, they nodded, vanishing once more in swirls of wind. The woman stared at the candle, frowning.
"Frost and Thunder will fail...this I know. I have foreseen this despite my brother's assurances." The woman muttered.
All it was down to now...was a duel.
EODGX
The boat had been traveling for the better part of a day. But it soon docked. Midori, Crowler and Bonaparte were the first off, but as they looked back up, they saw a showdown happening. The SoL were glaring at the resistance, the Slifers. In turn, the Slifers were glaring down the SoL, Jaden at the front.
"So...what do you losers want?" Aster bragged.
"We have something to say to you and your ilk, Ass-ter." Jaden simply replied, Bastion and Chazz joining him.
Sartorius narrowed his eyes, wondering what it was that Jaden wanted to say. He nodded, Jaden smirking.
"We're the Empire of Darkness."
Everyone of the SoL looked at Jaden before they all burst out in laughter. However, two were not laughing. Sartorius and Alexis. Sartorius saw it for what it was.
A declaration. That the Light of Ruins most hated enemy was NOT broken, was NOT beaten down by the taking of his first wife. He was still as stronger as ever. It was a challenge to the Light.
Alexis knew it to be more then just that. This wasn't a challenge.
This was war.
Realizing their master wasn't laughing, the laughter petered out. Soon, all of the SoL looked again at the newly declared Empire of Darkness. Fear gripped their hearts, terror clawed down their spines and apprehension coiled in their stomachs.
A menacing aura was around the Empire, hell, the SoL swore they even saw the words 'Menacingly' appear around the group. Seeing that they were frozen, Jaden stepped down the ramp first, making the newer members of the SoL gasp. Following after him was Chazz, then Bastion, and finally, the rest of the dorm. The last to disembark was Professor Jason. He made to take a step, making Sartorius flinch. Smirking, the professor joined the group.
After a few to regain themselves, Sartorius took the SoL off the boat. Once off, he began the trek to the hotel, saying that they had business. The group followed, arriving at the hotel after fifteen minutes of travel. But...
"Sorry, but only members of the Society can bunk here." Aster crowed smugly.
"WHAT?!" Midori roared, storming up. "That is unacceptable you little shit!"
"Tough luck."
"Midori, its fine." Jason said, frowning. "I set up something."
The woman glared at Aster who was still smug. She huffed, letting Jason lead the group away. Aster looked at two new SoL members and nodded. The pair nodded once, following after the group.
EODGX
The two SoL members jaws were on the ground. Jason had led the group of inferiors to the Domino Grand Hotel! It was the, no THE, best hotel in the whole world! One had to book MONTHS in advance to get a room! They bolted back to the hotel, intent on telling Aster.
With the group, Jason embraced a man who had come out to greet them. He had a tan, black hair and a black beard. He wore a crimson shirt with a painted gold tie with beige pants and dress shoes.
"Jason, you old dog! I see why you convinced Mark not to tell me!"
"Hey Ray! Wanted to be a surprise. Everyone, meet Ray Frazier the owner of Domino Grand. Ray, my students and fellow professors."
One by one, everyone introduced themselves to the man. Another man with orange hair in a ponytail came out, smirking. He wore a white suit with a red tie with black suede shoes.
"Enjoying the surprise, dear?" He asked Ray, Ray nodding.
"Very much so, Mark! Been a while since we saw our best friend."
As the group headed in, Jason explained. Ray and Mark were his best friends from his school days. The three of them had big dreams; Mark wanted to host various parties, Ray had dreams of being a hotel owner, and well, his dreams were obvious. Jasmine noticed the wedding rings on the pair, something Mark caught.
"Yep! I'm married to this man right here." Mark said, placing his hand in Ray's.
"Wow, congrats!" Mindy gushed, Jason chuckling.
One of the students asked Jason how he took it, recalling his professors upbringing.
"It was...a shock to me, but I didn't hate them for it. If anything, I was glad they were honest with themselves and me."
"Jason here invested in our hotel and once he became a big shot in the pro circuit, well, our business went through the roof!" Ray said, excited.
Celebrities, CEOs, other pro duelists began to use their hotel. It got so full they had to implement the months in advance booking. Still, they were happy for all the business. Jason got a nice percentage from the hotel, even when he was a pro.
"We wouldn't be here without our best friend."
"Ray, come off it. You know you'd gotten there soon enough. I just sped up the process." Jason said, smirking.
As they entered, they were greeted to the sight of a large fountain with a mermaid on it, spraying water. The inside was massive, making many think they had stepped into the Great Hall of the Larry Spotter books. Several busboys rushed around, helping several with their luggage. Several business men walked by, giving a nod to the students. Ray handed Jason a key. Directing them to a private elevator, everyone fit in and rode to the top. Upon the doors opening, they were treated to a large penthouse, everyone staring in shock. Ray and Mark both laughed, Jason grinning too.
"Alright, before you all go crazy, let me lay down some ground rules. The suite has multiple rooms, making it one of the top, if not THE, reasons why the Grand Hotel does so well. Girls will bunk to the left and boys on the right. We teachers will bunk with the students so to prevent any activities that are not on the itinerary." Midori said, making many boys rub their heads chuckling.
"Don't go out alone. Go with friends AND a chaperone. That Society won't hesitate to take on more of us. The less we have, the better chances they have to do whatever it is." Jason warned, his best friends looking at him confused.
Telling them he'd explain later, they continued to list off the rules and who was their chaperones. Seeing his best friends expressions, Jason sighed.
"Sorry, Midori, I need to explain everything to Ray and Mark."
Midori nodded, the man leaving the room. Jaden finished putting his things away and joined his group. Chazz, Syrus, Maurice, Hassleberry, Bastion, and Mindy were with him, their chaperone Professor Satyr. Once all the groups were formed, they all headed out of the hotel, Ray and Mark thanking Jason for the heads up.
EODGX
Satyr's group was at a dock, Mindy shocked. It was the area where Joey and Yugi had dueled when Joey was possessed by the Rod. Jaden smiled at Syrus' excitement, same with Chazz and Bastion. It was quite surreal, to be in a place where a legendary duel happened. They left the area, heading down a street. Jaden stopped suddenly, staring. Everyone did the same, looking back at what he was staring at.
It was a building, cream colored walls, a red rooftop, and the words KAME over the door. Everyone's heart raced. This was...
"The Kame Game shop..." Syrus breathed.
"Yugi Muto's home." Bastion gasped.
The door opened revealing a short man with green overalls, a gray beard and hair behind a black bandana. His amethyst eyes showed a youth despite his age.
"Oh hello there! Tourists?" The man asked.
"Very much so, Mister Muto." Satyr said, smiling.
"Oh please, none of that Mister stuff. Call me Solomon. Come on in."
The group entered, looking around in awe. Duel Monster cards lined the shelves, the rarer cards behind glass. Syrus knelt down, gasping in shock. On a single shelf was a Blue-Eyes White Dragon card. Asking if it was real, Solomon nodded, laughing.
"That it is. Kaiba actually requested Pegasus to recreate one to pay for tearing up my copy so long ago. For all his faults, the boy sure has grown."
Everyone nodded. When asked about his grandson, Solomon frowned.
"He's still in hiding from this 'Agent' of Ruin. I saw several teens in white uniforms staring at the shop, but my store was closed then. They part of that?"
Everyone nodded again, this time more subdued. Solomon frowned, rubbing his eyes.
"When will it all end? Burdens like this...placed on the shoulders of the youth." Solomon bemoaned.
"Best thing we can do is meet the challenges head on." Chazz said, smirking.
That got several nods of agreement from the group. After their imprompt tour of the Kame Game shop, Solomon offered to take them to a few other dueling places from Battle City. Everyone took the old man up on his offer.
EODGX
The group arrived a waterway, Solomon explaining that it was here that a Marik possessed Strings dueled Yugi. Jaden's decks flared, the six spirits of divine nature shooting out. Everyone watched in awe, even Solomon was stunned. Avatar, Eraser, Dreadroot, Uria, Hamon, and Raviel, roaring into the skies.
"What?!"
"Jaden, what's going on?!" Bastion called out, the wind whipping up.
"It's not me! They must sense Slifer's energy!" Jaden roared over the winds.
"I see! Slifer's power still lingers after all this time! Your spirits must have sensed it and believed that we were under attack!" Solomon bellowed, holding onto a railing.
Jaden flared his Duel Aura, drawing the attention of the six. He explained to them that they were at a site where Yugi had dueled Slifer. What they were sensing was NOT the actual god, but an echo. The six looked embarrassed, returning to the deck as everyone sighed in relief. Solomon chuckled, looking at the group.
"How about we move onto the next place?"
EODGX
"I know this place!" Mindy squealed in delight. "This is where Yugi faced down Seeker!"
"That's right, young lady! Seeker is the name the media gave him as he only identifed as 'Rare Hunter'." Solomon stated.
Given that Rare Hunter was so broad, it made sense to give the man a monkier. He had cheated by using X-ray contacts and painted said pieces to do so. Jaden snorted, stating that him losing to Yugi was merciful. He should have been destroyed utterly.
"Chances are he's trying to recreate his deck to get back in it." Chazz muttered.
"We'll worry about that when the time comes, Chazz." Bastion said.
Satyr nodded, looking around.
"What? It appears we have lost our guide!"
That threw everyone into a panic. They searched for well over an hour, but didn't find him. What they did find?
Aster standing with a smug expression on his face.
"Lose someone?" Aster taunted, making everyone seethe.
"Ass-ter. Just when I thought you couldn't get any lower. You kidnap innocent civilians just to make us play your sick games!" Maurice snarled, making Aster just laugh.
His laughter was cut off by a swift kick in the nuts by Mindy, who glared hatefully down at the downed pro. She was about to do more, but Satyr pulled her away. Maurice shook his head.
"Come on, we need to find him."
"Agreed!"
Everyone scattered, keeping in pairs.
EODGX
Chazz and Maurice were on top of a building to get a better look of their surroundings. Chazz was the first to spot it. A lone duel disk on the glass roof. He walked over, stopping suddenly.
"Oh I am stupid!" He snarled, making Maurice look at him. "This building...it was where Yugi and Kaiba bested Umbra and Lumis, a pair of rare hunters."
"Then that means-!" Maurice cried out.
"You two walked right into a trap." A voice said, surrounding them.
Both boys stood back to back, looking around. There was a swirl of snow, followed by a clap of thunder. Two men appeared before them. Across from Chazz was a pale-skinned man with blue eyes, short brown hair and a goatee, both with triangular edges, and two silver rings in each ear. The man wore a grey beanie, a black fur-lined jacket over a maroon shirt, brown pants, and black shoes. He had a large smirk on his face, something that reminded Chazz of Jagger.
Across from Maurice, another man showed up. He had amber-colored eyes, purple hair, a dark blue jacket with a light beige shirt underneath, blue jeans with brown shoes. His eyebrows were in the shape of lightning bolts.
"Who the hell are you two?" Maurice demanded.
"We're the Light Brigade. Name's Thunder. That's Frost." Thunder said, gesturing to the other man.
"We're here to duel ya and make ya see the Light, Hombres." Frost said, chuckling.
All that did was made Chazz and Maurice go into a battle ready pose, their duel disks activating. Frost and Thunder did the same.
"Hope you're ready to see the Light." Thunder crowed.
"Fat chance of that happening! We're the Empire of Darkness, trained by the King of the Ring himself, Jaden Yuki!" Maurice snapped.
The new information made Frost and Thunder gasp. The Supreme King of the Ring?! These two were trained by him?! Seeing that the two were now nervous, Chazz nodded.
"Yeah. Be glad he's not the one you're facing. The Society of Losers you're apart of? They got him fightin' mad."
Frost looked at his deck and then at his deck box. Something Chazz noticed. Demanding what the man was looking at, Frost snapped up, sweating. Seeing that he wasn't talking, Chazz just scowled, reaching out his senses. He and the rest had been told about the Vile HEROes, cards that could help tip the scales of the war in their favor. They had an aura of darkness so deep that it was an abyss. Chazz saw a black cloud surrounding Frost's deck box.
An image of a figure in serrated armor appeared, wielding a large broadsword, blood covering the armor.
"You...have a Vile HERO don't you?" Chazz shouted, making Frost panic.
He had been given the card by Sarina, told to not let it fall into the hands of Jaden Yuki. Only the card's loyalty could be won in a duel, something Sarina had made sure was inactive thanks to her knowledge of spellbinding. But if these two won...that binding would be broken.
"S-So what if I do!? You gotta beat me in this tag duel to get it, Amigo!" Frost snarled, drawing.
F&T: 8000/C&M: 8000
Checking over his hand, he grabbed a card and slapped it into his S/T zone.
"I play Side Attack!"
(Side Attack – Type/Spell/Continuous.
Activate only in a Tag-Team Duel by choosing 1 of your opponents. Monsters you control can only attack that player's monsters, and can only be attacked by that player's monsters. That player's monsters can only attack your monsters, and can only be attacked by your monsters. If a player controls no monsters, their opponents can attack them directly.)
"Thanks to this spell, I can attack that blue haired geek. Thunder over there can only attack you, Chazz, was it?"
"Name's Maurice!"Maurice hollered, gritting his teeth.
The two switched their places, Chazz now facing down Thunder with Maurice facing Frost. Frost just scoffed.
"Whatever. I play Ice Knight in attack mode."
(Ice Knight – LV/****, Attribute/WATER, ATK/1300, DEF/1200, Type/Aqua/Effect.
This card gains 400 ATK for each face-up Aqua-Type monster on the field.)
Ice Knight was a blue armor wearing monster with a shield and lance on its arms. It gained a blue aura, getting slightly bulkier.
Ice Knight – ATK/1300 → 1700
"I'll end my turn at that."
"Right, I draw." Maurice sneered, drawing.
Checking over his hand, he pondered his move. He saw that he had two Tuners, but only one non-tuner, two spells, and a trap. However, the trap had his attention.
Starlight Road...this will help me get out my Stardust Dragon! Maurice thought, picking the card and placed it facedown with the other two spells.
"I'll set three cards facedown, then finish my turn with a facedown monster." Maurice said, looking at Chazz. "S'all I can do."
"It's fine, Maurice. I'll help you out anyway I can."
"Yeah right. I draw!" Thunder roared, drawing his card. A quick look, he had his monster chosen.
"I summon Thunder Knight! This works like Ice Knight, only it gains four hundred for each Thunder Type."
(Thunder Knight – LV/****, Attribute/LIGHT, ATK/1300 → 1700, DEF/1200, Type/Thunder/Effect.
This card gains 400 ATK for each face-up Thunder-Type monster on the field.)
Thunder Knight looked just like Ice Knight, only yellow with bolts of electricity sparking around it.
"I got nothing else except a card facedown, so make your move, Chazz."
"I will!" Chazz bellowed drawing.
Looking over his hand, he nodded, placing Ojama Blue facedown.
"I'll just set this card facedown in defense and end."
Frost laughed, drawing.
"If that's all you can do, this duel is as good as won and that Vile HERO card will aide Sartorius!"
Seeing the card he had drawn, he began to laugh aloud.
"And I already got the card that will defeat you! I sacrifice my Ice Knight for my Monarch, Mobius the Frost!"
(Mobius the Frost Monarch – LV/******, Attribute/WATER, ATK/2400, DEF/1000, Type/Aqua/Effect.
When this card is Tribute Summoned: You can target up to 2 Spell/Trap Cards on the field; destroy those targets.)
Mobius was a massive ice golem with white armor and a cape. It's breath crackled each time it exhaled, showing that it was at sub-zero temps. Frost smirked, explaining his monster's effect. When summoned by a tribute, he was allowed to destroy up to two spells and traps.
"And your facedowns are ripe for the picking, Maurice."
Mobius raised its arms, aiming at the three facedowns. Maurice smirked, making Frost panic.
"Not so fast! I chain your monsters effect with a trap, Starlight Road!"
(Starlight Road – Type/Trap/Normal.
When a card or effect is activated that would destroy 2 or more cards you control: Negate the effect, and if you do, destroy that card, then you can Special Summon 1 "Stardust Dragon" from your Extra Deck.)
Mobius rapidly melted as a large road appeared, covered in stardust. Frost and Thunder watched on, Maurice raising one of his hands.
"With this road, I bridge the Earth to the Stars. Descend and deliver your justice...Stardust Dragon!"
The dragon landed next to Maurice, roaring. Frost grunted, not happy at his move being stopped like that. He placed a card facedown and ended his turn. Maurice drew his card, looking at it. It was a spell card, Assault Mode Zero. Looking over his hand, he didn't have the card just yet. Still, he was not going to be on to miss the chance before him.
"I have Stardust attack you directly Frost!"
The dragon roared, letting out a stream of Star Fire at the man. Said man grit his teeth, pushing a button.
"I reveal my trap card, Bit Shoot!"
(Bit Shoot – Type/Trap/Normal.
Special Summon 1 "Reflector Bit" from your hand.)
(Reflector Bit – LV/*, Attribute/LIGHT, ATK/0, DEF/0, Type/Machine/Effect.
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except with "Bit Shoot". The following effects are negated if the Duel is not a Tag-Team Duel: ● This card cannot be destroyed by battle, and it cannot attack. Your partner takes any Battle Damage that you would take from battles involving this card. When you would take damage from your partner's "Reflector Bit", you can inflict 500 damage to your opponent instead.)
A tiny monster appeared next to Frost, opening up its panels. The attack struck the panels, redirecting to Thunder. Chazz and Maurice were appalled at Frost's cold act, not caring that it was pun. Thunder grunted, revealing his own facedown to be another Bit shoot.
Another Reflector Bit appeared, the blast hitting it before it fizzled out. Chazz saw some embers hit him, making him hiss in pain.
C&M: 7500
"Drat, I'm sorry Chazz."
"It's fine. You couldn't have known. Still, good job on getting Stardust out. These guys will have a harder time now."
"Right. I'll set another monster facedown and end my turn."
Thunder drew his card, not bothering to look. He tributed his Thunder Knight making Chazz go tense.
"Meet my own Monarch, Zaborg the Thunder!"
The knight vanished and a large golem appeared, wearing armor that held orbs of light that extended over the head like a crown.
(Zaborg the Thunder Monarch – LV/*****, Attribute/LIGHT, ATK/2400, DEF/1000, Type/Thunder/Effect.
When this card is Tribute Summoned, destroy 1 monster on the field.)
"Due to him summoned with a tribute, I'll take out that Stardust!"
"No you won't! I chain your effect my Dragon's! I sacrifice him to negate your effect and destroy your monster!" Maurice snarled.
His dragon flared out an aura that washed over Zaborg, making it crack and dissipate. The dragon vanished, making Frost laugh.
"Waste of a monster! What a weak effect!"
All Maurice did was smirk. Thunder grunted, ending his turn. Chazz waited as Stardust made his return, making Frost and Thunder gasp.
"That's right. Stardust can revive itself from the grave if its effect is used." Chazz explained, drawing. "Now I know your decks. They are based on the Monarchs; Zaborg, Mobius, Granmarg, Thestalos, and Raiza. Shame that Maurice's deck is the worst kind of deck for you to face off against...same with mine."
Chazz revealed the card he had drawn, Different Dimension Hanger. He placed three Union monsters in them, Y-Dragon Head, Z-Metal Tank, and Heavy-Mech Support Platform in them.
"Now I play X-Head Cannon!"
The machine monster appeared, Y, Z, and Support appearing next to it. Frost and Thunder both cursed at that, Chazz removing the three monsters from play gaining his XYZ-Dragon Cannon.
"Oh, that's not good." Thunder bemoaned.
"Damn straight! I use my XYZ's effect, discarding Ojamagic. Course, that triggers its effect." Chazz explained, taking three cards from his deck and adding them to his hand. "Say good bye to your Bit."
The monster exploded making Thunder curse. Frost gasped, seeing the destroyed monster. XYZ then attacked Thunder directly.
F&T: 5200
"ARGH!" The pair cried out, making Maurice and Chazz smirk.
"I'll throw this facedown and end."
"My draw!" Frost snapped, drawing his card. Looking at it, he saw that it was another card Sarina had given him and Thunder, Mirror of Duality. He placed the card facedown along with a second and ended.
Maurice drew, seeing it was Pot of Greed. He got an extra two cards, one of them had him excited.
"Alright, time to set up your defeat! I play Assault Mode ZERO!"
"Assault Mode Zero?" The other three asked.
(Assault Mode Zero – Type/Spell/Quick-Play.
Tribute 1 Synchro Monster; Special Summon 1 "/Assault Mode" monster from your hand whose name includes the Tributed monster's name. (This is treated as a Special Summon with "Assault Mode Activate".) During your Main Phase: You can banish this card from your GY; Set 1 "Assault Mode Activate" directly from your hand or Deck. It can be activated this turn. You can only use each effect of "Assault Mode Zero" once per turn.)
"I tribute my Stardust Dragon to bring out...Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode in attack mode!"
Nothing really changed on Stardust dragon, other then gaining some armor in the same color as it and a boost in power.
(Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode – LV/**********, Attribute/WIND, ATK/3000, DEF/2500, Type/Dragon/Effect.
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned with "Assault Mode Activate" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways except by its own effect. When a card or effect is activated (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. During the End Phase, if this effect was activated this turn (and was not negated): You can Special Summon this card from your GY. When this card on the field is destroyed: You can target 1 "Stardust Dragon" in your GY; Special Summon that target.)
"Oh man...that is one big dragon..." Frost commented.
"About to get worse! I flip summon my facedown, the Tuner Monster Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice! Following that, I summon Speedroid Panchingo-Kart in attack mode!"
A triangular dice with a single eye appeared followed by a go-kart that resembled a Pinball launcher.
(Speedroid Panchingo-Kart – LV/****, Attribute/WIND, ATK/1800, DEF/1000, Type/Machine/Effect.
Once per turn: You can discard 1 Machine-Type monster, then target 1 monster on the field; destroy it.)
"Now, I discard my Razorfang to use my Kart's effect! Your Bit just got blasted."
A massive silver ball was shot out from the Kart, crashing into the tiny bit. Frost gasped, looking down at his barren field. Here, Maurice smirked.
"Now, I tune my Tri-Dice to my Kart!"
"TUNE?!" Frost and Thunder called out in shock.
3+4=7
Tri became rings as they surrounded Kart, making it turn orange with the stars in it. A shaft of light erupted, a shadow descending from it. Here, Maurice struck a, a hand on his forehead palm out, his other hand was under his chin, the chin resting it as he spread his legs slightly.
"When the winds of change blow, it brings with it the scent of Victory! I synchro summon...STARDUST CRUSADER!"
Stardust Crusader was a tall, well-built man of muscle. Its skin was a hue between purple, blue, green, and small bits of gold, long, flowing hair with a darker shade above its eyes and on the bridge of its nose, blurring the distinction between its hair and head. The spaces under its eyes and on its cheeks and chin are a darker color and divided clearly from the space around its nose and mouth. It wears a cap on its chin, and a metallic headband in three pieces, the central piece of which is shaped as a vertical ellipse. Its lower portion was covered by a loincloth, wore knee-length boots, and had elbow guards on its arms.
(Stardust Crusader – LV/*******, Attribute/WIND, ATK/3000, DEF/2000, Type/Warrior/Synchro/Effect.
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner
This card cannot be summoned except by Synchro Summon. Once per turn, during your opponent's turn, this card can negate 1 attack from your opponent's attacking monster. This card can attack twice a turn.)
"Whoa, that is one beast of a monster." Chazz commented, Maurice nodding.
"Got that right. Crusader! Attack!"
"I activate my trap, Magic Cylinder!" Frost hastily called out.
Crusader flew through one of the cylinders and back at Maurice who yelped.
C&M: 4500
"Shit! Sorry, Chazz!"
"It's fine! We got this still!"
"Yeah, considering my Crusader can attack a SECOND time!"
"WHAT?!" Frost cried out in fear.
The man appeared behind him, holding a large malevolent smile on his face.
"ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA-ORA!" The hologram screamed out, its fists flying at Frost.
F&T: 2200
"S-shit! We'll be on the backfoot...but I need to play it! Thunder, end these guys on your next turn!"
"What's he talking about?!" Chazz demanded.
"I activate Mirror of Duality!"
(Mirror of Duality – Type/Trap/Normal.
Activate only by paying 1000 Life Points when an opponent's monster declares an attack. Destroy all monsters on the field. All players take 500 damage for each monster destroyed, except for you.)
"Stardust, stop your attack! I use your effect!" Maurice called out.
Stardust Dragon/AM roared, vanishing in a swirl of light. The mirror that had appeared cracked before shattering into digital dust. Frost looked on, shocked out of his mind. Maurice explained.
Stardust Dragon/AM was an upgraded version of Stardust Dragon. Unlike the original Stardust, which could only negate destruction effects, Stardust/AM could negate ANY kind of effect. As Maurice ended, Stardust/AM returned, making Thunder curse.
He used Monster reincarnation, discarding his own mirror, now realizing that playing it was useless. He got back his Knight which he placed facedown and ended. Chazz simply drew, using the effect of XYZ, discarding Yellow after apologizing. Knight exploded, Chazz then tributing his facedown Blue for Armed Dragon Level Five.
"Armed Dragon! Attack! Take Thunder's Lifepoints down!"
The dragon roared, releasing a rain of spike missiles on Thunder.
F&T: 2100
"Maurice, want me to wrap this all up? Chances are Jaden and the rest found Solomon." Chazz asked.
"Go right ahead Chazz. Make these losers hurt."
Chazz just nodded, having his XYZ attack. Without a proper defense, the blast struck Thunder HARD. He went flying back, landing close to the edge of the roof.
F&T: 0
Frost roared in rage, clutching his deck box. But his efforts were futile, the card coming out, the spirit of it looking at him.
"YOU HAVE INTERFERED WITH RITES AS OLD AS THE GALAXY~! FOR THAT, YOU AND YOURS WILL BE TRAPPED IN THOSE CARDS GIFTED TO YOU!"
Before Chazz or Maurice could stop the spirit, the Mirror of Duality cards landed in front of Frost and Thunder. They both gave out screams as they were pulled in, trapped in the cards, faces frozen in fear and terror. The HERO turned to Chazz and Maurice, their spirits before him, guarding them.
"Your spirits are to be commended for standing up to the Rider of War. Still, as you have won, you have my card."
"We don't own you...Jaden does." Chazz said.
"Or rather, he will." Maurice said, thinking up a plan.
EODGX
Jaden, Mindy, Syrus, and Satyr found Solomon safe and sound. He had needed to go to the bathroom really bad. Chazz and Maurice came up then, explaining the duel with Frost and Thunder. Here, Chazz held up Vile HERO War for Jaden to see.
"You need to duel us, both of us." Chazz said. "War won't let us just hand him over to you."
"But we have a condition." Maurice blurted, making Jaden look at him. "You MUST use your Forbidden Deck. War's orders."
"What? Wait, I didn't order such a thing! What are you planning, brats?!"
The Vile HERO was ignored, Jaden hiding his smirk. He chose a deck and after thoroughly shuffling it, all three deployed their disks. War popped out, refereeing the duel.
"Whatever you are planning, you won't succeed in it. I declare this duel...ON!"
"And its already over." Jaden said, the star appearing behind him.
Out of it came the arms, legs and torso of Exodia the Forbidden One. War's jaw would have dropped if the helmet had allowed it. Exodia blasted away, Chazz and Maurice covering their faces, but not their large smiles. War looked at Maurice, scowling.
"You sons of-, you planned this!"
"Hey, you said we had to duel Jaden. You didn't say we could encourage him to use a certain deck." Chazz said, the spirits of the two laughing themselves sick.
All War did? He just grumbled as Maurice handed his card over to the King.
Jaden has gotten Vile HERO War. But this isn't over yet. Jaden still needs to find the second one and who knows who has it. Now, this duel wasn't an issue, except on Frost and Thunder's end, hence why it took me so long to write it out. And yes, Frost and Thunder would have lost with Mirror's effect, Frost was just desperate. And we all know what desperation can do to a person's mind.
