Happy 2022 everyone! I admit, its been some time since my last update. Sorry about that. A game I was waiting for came out and have been playing that non-stop. What game you ask? Security Breach. For all its bugs and glitches, it is actually fun! But enough of that. You want the chapter to start. Well, here ya go!
The two days passed in a blur. During that time, the schools of North, South, East, and West Duel Academies arrived. Sheppard introduced the four's top duelists.
Jesse Anderson for North. Axel Brodie for West. Jim Crocodile Cook for East. Adrian Gecko, David Rabb, and Reggie MacKenzie for South Academy.
The four schools used their yachts for lodging, the six top meeting Jaden. Said King was rather annoyed with David, pestering Mindy and Jasmine for a date. Reggie annoyed him even more with her constant flirting with him much to the ire of his girlfriends, save Alexis.
Axel, Adrian, Jim, and Jessie were polite, three of the four being shocked at seeing the King of the Ring at a school of all things. Jaden didn't tell them why he was there, only that Kaiba asked him to continue to help out.
While they were fresh in everyone's minds, the rules were posted to remind them. The SoL was not happy to say the least. They had avoided dueling the Empire of Darkness for a long time, preventing them from saving their enlightened. But now thanks to the GenX tournament, they had to duel the Empire of Darkness. Sartorius calmly explained that this was the high risk for their high reward.
Converting pros was the reward. Dueling the Empire? The risk. Many of the SoL had made slight adjustments to their decks, believing them to be perfect. But the Empire wasn't idle like they had hoped. Decks were rebuilt from the ground up for many of the Empire's best. They were prepping for war.
The Professional Duelists came by mid-afternoon of the second day. Among them was a yacht bearing a royal crest on its hull. Inside the yacht, a purple haired man wearing a crown, in a white suit with gold edges and a crimson ascot sat. Across from him was a woman, a suitcase on her lap. The woman wore a salmon pink business suit with black edges. The case was attached to her wrist by a cuff.
"I have to say, this is big of Kaiba." The man said, a royally cool voice.
"Quite. There's rumors that the King of the Ring is there as well." The woman said. "But, Sire, trying to obtain those cards from the King...well, may I be blunt?"
The Prince nodded.
"Sire, there are easier and less painful ways to commit career suicide. Do not forget that this is the very same boy who put his own sperm donor and egg donor in prison because of his treatment. He is ruthless."
"I am aware of that Linda. Besides, I'm not even going to try to take those Wicked God Cards or the Sacred Beast Cards he owns. No, I merely want to see them in action for myself."
"Prince Ojin, you are really odd." Linda said, a small smirk on her face.
"So I've been told."
EODGX
The yacht came to the docks of Central, everyone gathered. Ojin stepped out, Linda at his side. Sheppard smiled, stepping forward.
"Prince Ojin, its wonderful to see you. How did your country's rocket fare?" Sheppard asked, shaking the Prince's hand.
"The launch was a massive success, Chancellor Sheppard. The world can sleep easier now that our SORA can take out any rouge asteroids or large space debris before it impacts." Ojin said, smiling widely.
Jaden looked confused. SORA Satellite? Syrus nodded. The country of Misgarth had launched a satellite, their first, into orbit. The idea behind it was to deal with any kind of extra-terrestrial threat, asteroids, meteors and/or any chunk of large space debris from previous space races. The satellite was equipped with a powerful super laser. That made Jaden's heart freeze. A few seconds later, Syrus' face had a look realization too.
"The LIGHT!" They whispered to one another.
The whisper got looks from the rest of the Empire, the pair quickly explaining. Chazz, Bastion, Atticus, Jasmine, Mindy, Maurice, Fiona, and Bonnie's faces all gained horror.
"That's it's plan! You said the Light of Ruin destroys stuff. Well, that laser could take out whole cities!" Chazz frantically whispered.
"Shit! That's all we need. We have to stop any member of the Light from dueling Ojin!" Bastion snarled.
"Easier said then done, hon." Bonnie griped. "The rules both work fer and against us. His majesty won't be able to decline the duel if its the big man himself duelin'."
"Bonnie's right." Maurice said, frowning. "Duel gets underway, we can't stop it."
"Everyone, keep your heads. One thing at a time. For now, we have to limit Sartorius' power base. Take out his members one by one and he'll be surrounded on all sides." Fiona stated, making Jaden nod.
During this, the rest of the body began to move to the school's grounds. Seeing this, they began to move as well. Both the SoL and Empire walked with the pros and the four academies between them. Syrus looked up and saw his older brother, the sadistic smirk still on his face. Clenching his fist, he promised to beat Zane back to his senses...or render him further senseless, one of the two.
Sheppard walked up to the podium that was set up. Looking out at the assembled, he gave a mega watt smile.
"PROFESSIONAL DUELISTS, STUDENTS OF NORTH, SOUTH, EAST, AND WEST ACADEMIES. WELCOME TO CENTRAL. THIS TOURNAMENT WAS CREATED TO SHOW OFF THE NEXT GENERATION OF DUELISTS AND TO TEACH THEM HOW ROUGH BEING A PRO DUELIST REALLY IS. I HAVE SAID ENOUGH AS IT IS, SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, LET THE GenX TOURNAMENT BEGIN!"
Fireworks went off making everyone cheer.
The tournament was on.
EODGX
All of the participants of the tournament had scattered all over the island. Fiona was currently facing down a rat faced boy in a white blazer. She had twenty-six hundred life points with Recon, Bravo, and Beat on her field. Rat-face had fifteen hundred. He had just ended his turn, placing his Millennium Shield on the field in defense mode.
"Soon, you will be mine, Fiona!" He wheezed, making the girl scowl.
"Sorry, but my heart belongs to Miles and only Miles!" Fiona snapped, drawing.
She played Filo, Messenger Fur Hire.
(Filo, Messenger Fur Hire – LV/*, Attribute/WIND, ATK/0 → 500, DEF/0 → 500, Type/Winged-Beast/Effect.
During your Main Phase: You can Special Summon 1 monster "Fur Hire" from your hand, except "Filo, Messenger Fur Hire". If a monster "Fur Hire" is Special Summoned to your field while you control this monster (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 monster "Fur Hire" in your GY; Special Summon it in Defense Position, but place it on the bottom of the Deck if it leaves the field. You can only use each effect of "Filo, Messenger Fur Hire" once per turn.)
A tiny yellow bird carrying a scroll sped out onto the field, tripping over her own feet. Rat-face laughed, but Fiona just smirked.
"Filo may look weak, but her ability more then makes up for it. First, she allows to special Summon one of my aces. Rise up, Rafale, Champion Fur Hire!"
(Rafale, Champion Fur Hire – LV/********, Attribute/LIGHT, ATK/2800 → 3300, DEF/2200 → 2700, Type/Dragon/Effect.
If this card is Special Summoned: You can excavate the top cards of your Deck, equal to the number of monsters "Fur Hire" you control with different names, except "Rafale, Champion Fur Hire", and if you do, add 1 of them to your hand, also shuffle the rest back into the Deck. When your opponent activates a monster effect (Quick Effect): You can discard 1 card "Fur Hire"; negate the activation. You can only use each effect of "Rafale, Champion Fur Hire" once per turn.)
Rafale was a sword carrying dragon who roared. Fiona excavated several cards, choosing one and adding it to her hand. She revealed it to be Polymerization.
"I fuse Milo with Recon! With the merge of these Furs, a new merc is hired in! Rise up! Kit Tech Fur Hire!"
(Kit, Tech Fur Hire – LV/********, Attribute/FIRE, ATK/2500 → 3000, DEF/2000 → 2500, Type/Beast-Warrior/Fusion/Effect.
2 "Fur Hire" Monsters.
Must be Special Summoned by Fusion Summon. When this card is Special Summoned, add 1 "Fur Hire" monster from your GY to your deck and shuffle it. If there is another "Fur Hire" monster, select 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field. Switch its battle position. When your opponent activates a card or Monster Effect (Quick Effect): You can discard 1 "Fur Hire"; negate its activation and destroy it. Then remove all cards of the same name from play. If "Vix, Merc Fur Hire" is in play, this card cannot be targeted by Card Effects. You can only use each effect of "Kit, Tech Fur Hire" once per turn.)
Kit was a canary yellow fox with nine bushy tails behind him. He wore black cargo pants, a brown bandana and and yellow goggles on his head. Around his arms and legs were several wrappings. On his right hand was a gauntlet with a screen on it. The kitsune pushed a few buttons on his gauntlet, the shield floating.
"W-w-w-what?! Why is my Shield in Attack mode?!"
"Its my Kit's effect. If there are other Fur Hire monsters, he can switch the position of a monster. Rafale, attack!"
Rafale nodded, slashing his sword through the shield. It shattered, Rat-Face being pelted by the debris.
"NO! MY DREAM GIRL IS A NIGHTMARE!"
"Damn right." Fiona said, taking the medal.

On another part of the island, Syrus was engaged not with a SoL member, but a student of West academy. The young man was one of the many duelists Syrus had actually faced in the duel gauntlet to get the Techno-Mages. Now, the kid was pissed that he lost and wanted those one of a kind cards.
WS had a Spell Canceller in play with twenty-five hundred life points. Syrus still had all of his life points, two facedowns, and Techno-Mage Solaris out. With Spell in play, most of Syrus' deck was locked out. Most, not all. Syrus drew, seeing it was DMG.
"Alright, I reveal one of my facedowns! My trap card, Forbidden Techno Tome!"
(Forbidden Techno Tome – Type/Trap/Normal.
Select 1 "Techno-Tome" Spell card in your GY. Remove it from play. This card's effect becomes the removed from play's card effect.)
"I'll remove my second copy of Techno-Tome – Velocity. Now, I'll use its power!"
"W-what?! HOW!?" WS demanded.
"Simple. Forbidden Techno Tome gains the effect of the removed Techno – Tome. So, I'll play another Techno-Mage Solaris. But I'm not finished yet. Here's my other facedown. Techno Tome – Devastation!"
(Techno Tome – Devastation – Type/Trap/Normal.
Send 1 "Techno Mage" monster from your deck or hand to the GY. Then destroy all cards on the field.)
"Techno Tome Devastation is one of the rare Trap Tomes of the Techno-Mages. But unlike the others, this one destroys everything in its path. I discard my Techno-Mage Freya."
Both Solaris exploded. Spell Cancellor followed right after. WS's eyes went wide.
"You...you destroyed your own monsters?!" WS exclaimed.
"Yep. So I can do this. I play Techno Tome – Supernatural along with my final copy of Techno Tome - Velocity!"
"Shit..."
"Alright...thanks to Supernatural, I can do this! Come on out DMG!"
The Dark Magician Girl appeared with a laugh, smiling. WS's eyes gained hearts, but Syrus glared at him. Thanks to his two Solaris' within his GY, DMG had twenty-six hundred points. That made WS shout in dismay.
"No! You can't!"
"I can. DMG, attack!"
The woman chuckled, sending a scepter blast at the WS. He went flying back from the blast, his counter hitting a big fat zero. Syrus took the medal, smiling as he walked off. The WS was about to attack him when his back was turned, only to be stopped by someone knocking them out.
As Syrus walked away, he didn't see his older brother dropping the West Student, staring after his little brother.

Chazz sighed, his XYZ Cannon blasting another monster to slag. The Pros were tough, he'd give them that, but Jaden's training was intense. This duel wasn't long, but it was intense. The Pro, called The Maestro, handed over his medal with a smile.
"Well played, Mister Princeton. Jaden has trained you all well."
"Thanks. Jaden's not one for slouches."
"Oh I know. That is one duelist that I don't want to face."
Chazz pocketed the medal, just as the Wicked Eraser appeared in a geyser of black fire. Seeing the monster made Chazz and the Maestro jump. The explosion rocked the entire island, making the pair grab onto some nearby trees. Once the shaking stopped, Chazz carefully let go.
"Well, that happened."
"Indeed. Wonder who pissed him off enough to summon that ungodly beast."
"Who knows...their career is donzo."
EODGX
Jaden grit his teeth. Several low rank members of the SoL had attacked him one right after the other. The last one he had to summon Eraser. On the upside, he had plenty of medals now and the group were freed. What's more, they were pissed off at the SoL. The downside? He was no where near the prince and Sartorius was well and truly gone.
Taking off again, Jaden managed to catch up to the pair. Only to groan. They were dueling alright. Jaden sat down, sighing. He knew that this was going to be bad. He settled down to watch the duel.
Ojin and Sartorius deployed their disks, drawing their opening hand. Ojin started the duel off, drawing. The Prince stated that he was rather busy and would defeat Sartorius in an instant. Sartorius smiled, nodding and stating the same thing.
Jaden tensed up. He knew of a Arcana Force combo that could enact a ZTK, a Zero Turn Kill. But no one, not even he, had managed to pull it off.
Ojin chuckled, amused at Sartorius' proclamation. Looking over his hand, he revealed a card. Pot of Greed. The prince drew two cards, looking over his hand. In his hand was Cost Down, Satellite Cannon, Card of Sanctity, Charge, Mischief of the Time Goddess, Limiter Removal and finally, Satellite Base.
Playing Cost Down facedown along with Change, Mischief and Limiter, he played Card of Sanctity, gaining five cards while Sartorius drew one. The five new cards was another Charge card, another Satellite cannon, Rivalry of Warlords and two trap cards. He revealed Cost Down discarding the Warlords, summoning Cannon to the field.
(Satellie Cannon – LV/***** → ***, Attribute/LIGHT, ATK/0, DEF/0, Type/Machine/Effect.
This card cannot be destroyed in battle by a Level 7 or lower monster. During each of your End Phases, this card gains 1000 ATK. If this card attacks, its ATK is returned to 0, after damage calculation.)
High above the planet, a hologram of the newly played monster appeared. Sartorius smirked, stating the card represented the country of Misgarth well. It's elegance and power. Ojin nodded, thanking the man.
"But flattery won't get you an easy victory. I play Charge!"
(Charge – Type/Spell/Normal.
All face-up "Satellite Cannons" you control gain 2000 ATK.)
Satellite – ATK/0 → 2000
"Impressive...but you still cannot attack." Sartorius pointed out.
"Oh, I have a way around that." Ojin said, smug, playing his second Charge card.
Cannon – ATK/2000 → 4000
" Now, here's the work around! Reveal facedown spell, Mischief of the Time Goddess!"
Jaden frowned. Sartorius wasn't worried at all. Shit, could he actually have it? The Card combo for a ZTK?! The sound of another spell card being revealed and played brought Jaden back to the duel. The card in question was Limiter Removal and had doubled Cannon's attack power.
Satellite Cannon – ATK/4000 x 2 → 8000
"Cannon! Attack!"
High above, the Satellite in orbit adjusted the orbit. It was now directly looking at Sartorius in its computer eye. The tail of it began to glow brightly, energy rapidly building up. A tiny orb formed at the very tip, exploding out in a single beam.
Above, the light shone and made every duelist look up. Sartorius looked up as well, smiling. The blast came down on him, but Jaden knew it wasn't game over.
He was right and hated it.
The blast swept away, a shield protecting Sartorius. The shield was cast by a monster with maize and black colors. Arcana Force XIV – Temperence. It could be discarded to nullify any battle damage the controller took. Realizing what happened, Ojin played Satellite Base in defense mode.
(Satellite Base – LV/****, Attribute/LIGHT, ATK/0, DEF/0, Type/Machine/Effect.
This card cannot be destroyed by battle with a Level 5 or lower monster. During each of your End Phases, this card gains 1000 DEF. If an opponent's monster attacks this card, this card's DEF becomes 0 after damage calculation.)
"I activate my Spell card, Intervention of Fate." Sartorius cut in.
"What?!"
(Intervention of Fate – Type/Spell/Normal.
When your opponent Summons a monster, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to activate 1 Normal Spell Card from your hand.)
"This spell allows me to play one normal spell from my hand, provided I send this card to the grave. I play Ace of Sword."
(Ace of Sword – Type/Normal/Spell.
Select 1 face-up monster on the field. A hologram of this card will spin over the controller's head. Your opponent must shout 'Stop' and depending on where it ends up, apply the proper effect:
●Right Side Up: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the selected monster's ATK.
●Upside Down: You take damage equal to the selected monster's ATK.)
An image of the card appeared, slowly spinning above Sartorius. Ojin listened to the explanation given to him. He frowned, keeping an eye on the card. When it hit a certain point, he shouted.
"STOP!"
The card slowed down...and landed right-side up. Jaden's eyes went wide. Sartorius...had done it. He won without taking a single turn. The fabled ZTK had been preformed. A sword shot out of the card, piercing the Prince. His eyes went wide, staring as his life counter plummeted to zero.
Ojin: 8000 → 0
"I lost..." Ojin muttered.
Instantly, Linda grew defensive about the case, but the prince got up, taking it.
"Linda, I gave my word."
"But your majesty-!"
Ojin shook his head, taking the case. He handed it to a grinning Sartorius. The man then left, several members of the Light coming out from behind the trees and joining him. Jaden clenched his fist.
"This...just got complicated." He muttered aloud.
No shit, Jaden! Looks like Sartorius has the SORA controls in his hands! Well, I decided to repurpose the SORA Satellite from both the original and English Dub. In the original, Ojin proclaimed that SORA was a weapon whereas in the Dub, he claimed to have brainwashing technology. I opted to go with the Japanese Dub version but add a twist.
I had it be created for a more Earth Friendly idea. Space Junk is a REALLY big problem that no one seems to have a solution so that was where the idea for the repurpose came into play. Hope you all enjoyed!
