It's been a year since my younger brother Maximus found me, since then he has become a very pleasant constant in my everyday life, Maximus was to say the least...weird, he seemed to love science and everything related to it, but he was quite wrong and sometimes a little rash.

This usually ends up with him relying too much on the results of his inventions, which usually end up exploding or just not caring, but none of this stops or frustrates him in any way, he keeps pushing and improving his invention to the point where it would be better than it was. planned.

This is how Maximus worked, in addition to his eccentricities, he was a kind eleven year old boy who dreamed of seeing the outside world, this caught my intention and seeing my interest he excitedly and very enthusiastically explained what it was all about.

Basically Attilan was much bigger than this underground base , even though I have information about things I never really see them , but my brother 's stories covered that feeling, he explained how the city understood itself for hundreds of thousands of miles, so much for the mines below, as well as to the skies with their huge skyscrapers.

But there was one thing that he recounted with great excitement and it was what was outside the invisible walls of Attilan, but specifically what they separated, there was a whole world out there, different cultures, peoples or even nations. I knew was that they called themselves humans and the older Inhumans "affectionately" call them evolved primates.

There was a lot of prejudice from the elders towards humans, I didn't know why but I felt I should know about it, Maximus then explained what is taught in academies, about the atrocities of humans, how they killed and enslaved each other for merely pieces of land and a little wealth.

They portrayed humanity as an equivalent with plagues and would eventually self-destruct, this gave me a lot to think about, the Inhumans seemed to develop a dislike for men, but they themselves were just as human as the rest, at least until awakening.

"But I wouldn't much believe the elders if I were you brother, while I respect your wisdom, when it comes to the outside world they couldn't be more wrong."

My brother said, today he came later due to being involved in a new project, he said that it would definitely impress me, ''if you prepare my brother, it will take a reaction from your eternal stoic face!!'' he said a few weeks ago, I simply tilted my head in doubt.

"See brother, I'm just too smart to accept what others tell me without any doubts, so I started my own investigation, and in a non-consensual way I infiltrated the ancient chambers where past knowledge is stored."

My brother began to narrate how he went to some ancient tomb where the Inhumans considered "immortal" due to their long longevity, the youngest being at least a thousand years old, they are usually assigned to write all history and guard the halls, ancients of knowledge, there Maximus read everything in the archives of mankind. Now why did he go there knowing the prejudice against humans? because the hall keepers are uniformly apathetic and completely neutral, as well as the facts they write they are impartial and unbiased.

There Maximus learned all he could about the outside world , humans and their tendencies, there his desire to explore grew higher and higher, he wanted so badly to get out and breathe the air outside the icy mountains, he wanted to touch the grass in the green fields, not the artificial copies made by the Inhumans' powers for convenience.

"It was just amazing brother!!, not only the files about humanity, but about every kind of event that Earth has passed since the creation of the Inhumans to generations ago !!, and the world was so different ! , even humans didn't having our powers or technology evolved in a completely different way, machines that I have never seen and concepts that we have never learned because we find them useless, they use everything they can to survive and today they have practically become the dominant species on the planet!!"

Ah I really like that gleam in his eyes , they are so full of hope and naivety, but I knew better, there was always a little bit of truth in every fact, no doubt humans are all Maximus talked about, but there must be some reason why the Inhumans hate them and at some point fear the humans, hate and fear always come from somewhere, but I wouldn't tell my brother that, he deserved a normal childhood where he could dream and have big plans.

This freedom unfortunately would not come to me anytime soon, using my limited telepath skills that I developed with great difficulty in the last year I felt presences coming, I immediately knocked on the glass indicating for Maximus to go according to the pattern, he immediately understood me and left using a kind of gliding gear built into his shoes and flying up to where he came out, through the vent pipes he pulled out before anyone arrived.

They were my father, and two of the scientists who worked here, I didn't give them even a hint of emotion, and unlike when I was with my brother it was on purpose this time, they got closer but I felt something was wrong, that's because out of nowhere a girl with the most beautiful hair I've ever seen suddenly appeared.

"Hello Blackagar, I see it remains the same, but see after long deliberation the council and I have decided that you have reached the age to have a suitor." lives forever.

But it was to be expected that coming from him, I just narrowed my eyes, but immediately stopped when I saw that the girl who looked about my age had walked away, I didn't want to scare her, she was absolutely not to blame for what happened, I took it. my glance at my father to show my displeasure.

"Don't look at me like that boy, regardless of your will it would happen, thank your mother that this beautiful young woman was chosen, not just any noble but one of the ancient lineage of our ancient colonies, this is Medusalith Amaquelin- Boltagon, she will be your bride until second order, are we understood?"

I would not give importance to this with an answer, I just turned around and didn't answer him, if it were up to me I would simply answer using my voice, but unfortunately as always he had someone who shouldn't die accompanied, but one day I would leave from here.I heard him huff as he withdrew, the scientists went to his king after copying some data into the computers, but I could still feel an energy signature, I turned around and found Medusalith still there. She wore a full body outfit with different shades of purple, her red hair fell like a river down to her waist, she had beautiful features and a structural frame for her age, obviously she was trained in combat.I eagerly approached the glass, that invisible barrier separating us, looked into her beautiful green eyes and she looked into my deep dark blue eyes.

POV : Medusalith

When my sister informed me that I would be engaged to the king's eldest son, I first found it strange, to begin with, everyone knew Maximus, and as he was not only young, he was quite eccentric, but I was soon informed by my father, one of the most renowned scientists, that he would not be Maximus.

Immediately I was in doubt , did Your Majesty have another child ? , where has he been all this time? why didn't he have to attend all those boring meetings and all? I could admit I was intrigued, my curiosity overcoming my fear and apprehension.

Soon my father informed me that today he would take me to one of the most secure and well guarded places in the kingdom, where no one could invade undetected, (not counting Maximus and his intellect). He said it was of paramount importance to swear to never even think about this place too much so I promised, it wasn't like I had anyone to talk to.

We soon arrived at a base so deep in the ground that I could say we are almost at the same depths as the mines in the city, soon we met King Agon himself, my father and I bowed immediately, everyone knew the King's rigidity and humor, it would be foolish to challenge him, there were other scientists but he didn't matter so much.

We walked down a long corridor, all the technology was cutting edge and without a doubt there was only the most modern and updated, without a doubt something that only the royal palace could finance, then we went through a huge door and there it was.

A full-body outfit common among the Inhumans, in black colors with pure platinum white accents, he was tall, with tight muscles, his hair was as black as the dark sky and his dark blue eyes were mesmerizing.

The similarities with the King were very visible, especially the emotionless face, I was immediately scared when, after the King announced our marriage, he frowned, he was very intimidating, the King then explained that it was inevitable and left, my father and the another scientist going together.

But I waited, I wanted to know more about him, especially why the King would lock his own son in a catacomb so deeply and inside a cage, I knew the King was severe, but what did the prince do to deserve to be there?

He turned around, as if he knew I was still here, he slowly approached the glass, we were both separated by this invisible barrier, I gently placed my hand on the glass, he was surprised and gradually too because his own, in the same place as mine.

"Why... why did you do to stay here?"

I questioned, frowning in confusion, the prince seemed very normal to me, of course aside from his qualities, he just looked like a normal young man, just like me.

'I think because I was born different.'

Shocked I looked at him, it was like I could just understand him, even without words! this...I remember my mother talking about how sometimes the Inhumans when they fall in love can even communicate without words.

"How...how different?"

I questioned and immediately her expressionless eyes nearly popped out of their sockets, I smiled as I tried to hide my flushed face from the memory of my mother's words, she couldn't have fallen in love so easily, the world wasn't a fairy tale, she knew from that.
