Invasion Part 1
[Gotham : 2010]
In the United States there was a city, one of the oldest, famous for its architecture and sciences, but behind the scenes everyone knew the real fame, this was the city of crime, Gotham.
And a covered figure was jumping over the buildings of this city, jumps that any human would be incapable, he jumped and fell on the road, bumping into a car, the woman driving him ended up losing control and was going to crash.
A luminous green hand stopped the accident, a man in a green and white suit with a ring on his finger saved her, he got her to safety, parking the car in a safe place.
"But a job well done, and one more beauty safe in the world." The man said while smiling, he flew towards the dark figure.
On a train two boys, brothers were watching a video, it was the black figure jumping and capturing a person, the younger one looked scared while the older one was interested.
{Reports point to suspicions for the urban legend of the city known as Batman, the disappearances keep happening.} The woman who broke the news reported.
"Cool!!" The eldest said while replaying the video.
"Stop it Tommy, I'm scared." Said the youngest.
"Relax Bruce, they can't get us, and if he comes I'm sure I'll punch him." The boy said bravely, his mother just gave a half smile.
But they screamed when the train passing over the city suffered a tremor, the rail system was contributed by Wayne Industries, on top of the wagon was the black figure, but he was not the only one, for behind him was a man, a man dressed as a bat.
It was Batman, and he wasn't happy, he pulled out a device and fired a grappling hook, the stainless metal rope caught on the creature's heel, it screamed in pain and then wings appeared.
The two began to fly, passing in front of the moon, which illuminated them, they continued flying until a wall of luminous green bricks, the man with the ring, was before them.
The creature screamed and from its mouth it shot fire, destroying the wall and pushing the Lantern away, Batman who had fallen fired another hook and returned to the tall buildings, running in pursuit of the stranger.
"Wow!!, Batman, I didn't expect to find urban legends, Gotham is going to be mad!!" He then flies towards the watcher.
"So… any clues as to who would be his friend?" the man asked as he flew close to Batman.
"They've been kidnapping people for two weeks, when the police found him he spit fire out of his mouth." Batman spoke in a cold voice.
"Well, don't worry Green Lantern can handle that." Lanter said arrogantly.
"I've heard of it, as well as the collateral damage you cause." Batman commented, Lantern lost a bit of face with this.
They chased the creature down to the sewer, fleeing when the police found them, they were now walking through Gotham's sewer, not something most would choose to do.
"Wow, you are very different from what I imagined, I was expecting a terrible bloodsucking monster, but in the end you were just a guy dressed as a bat." Lantern said mockingly, only for Batman to take his ring and examine it curiously.
The aviator suit was revealed and so was his face, Lantern looked shocked.
"A fascinating piece of technology, I don't see any buttons or controls, maybe it works with concentration." Batman analyzed the most powerful weapon in the universe.
"How…you won't do that again!!" The ring returned to Lanter's furious finger.
"Unless I need to, I don't want to get involved in some pointless argument, you're useful, so I'll put up with you for now." Batman said, just to stop the Lanter from floating.
"What's up?!, want to fight!" He threatened, Batman signaled silence, he understood and they started to walk, they saw the creature putting what looked like a device, a box to be more precise.
"By Darkseid!!" He screamed as he looked at them and exploded.
[Attilan]
POV : Maximus
Sigh, hell I've been at this for months, and I still haven't found a pattern to this energy signature, but the strange thing was the creature that Gorgon brought, was prowling the borders of Attilan and so it must die.
I didn't understand my fellow Inhumans, I know our safety comes first, but sometimes they see shadows where none exist, but who am I to question, I'm just a scientist, even if I'm the brightest mind in this nation.
I needed a new hobby, my brother suggested painting, maybe I could give it a try, all this work has finally reached my limit, I need a break to think better.
The data won't get away from me if I take a little nap. When I was about to close my eyes my computers go crazy.
"Oh shit...What in the name of the gods are these readings!!?" It was beyond anything I've ever seen, and most importantly finally a trace of Zeta Rays!!
"I need to warn my brother!!" I then ran, bumping into everything I could find, only to hear the invasion alert, someone had breached Attilan's barriers, and that was unprecedented.
"Well...we're in trouble." Looking out the window, Attilan's sky was covered with the creatures the Gorgon had brought in weeks before.
POV : Gorgon
"You bugs can't come!!" I crushed hundreds of these worms that dared to invade glorious Attilan, I don't know how they passed the shield, but I don't need to worry about that now.
One of the beasts was bigger than the others, obviously a heavy scout, he roared and flew towards me, I smiled and ran too. When we were close I kicked my left leg through the thing's solar plexus.
"Ew!, get out of here!!" I spun around and slammed his body against another of these insects, I covered the ground with this green blood.
"Who else wants to face the great Gorgon!!" Hundreds of them roar and come towards me.
POV : Karnak
Maximus had failed, his arrogance in believing in his machines would be his undoing, everything has weaknesses, everything, even our King, even if not necessarily physical, but he will have his moment.
I landed hundreds of blows, all aimed at vital points, they all fell, they were formidable, not for their individual power but for their sheer quantity, the arsonists were already doing as much as they could in an area so full of buildings.
But we don't need to do much more, as all the invaders were stopped, a blue aura over their bodies, and in the sky our King had joined the battle, he simply made a squeezing gesture and they were all crushed.
In fact, perhaps the King was the only one without physical weaknesses in his body.
