Hello all. Really sorry for taking so long on this. The struggle came on how to execute the duel between a Manga only antagonist and the main hero. This was further complicated by the Manga only character's deck. Finally, and I know the Big Saturn's IRL effect, but I altered it to make it more like an overpowered Anime card just for this purpose. Hope you all enjoy!

A quick intermission had everyone going to the bathroom. As the Central Main walked, Syrus asked a very important question.

"Why didn't Chazz become a Son of a Light?" The tiny bluette asked.

Everyone stopped and looked at him, confused. He elaborated. Every time someone had dueled either Sartorius or a member of the SoL, they became 'enlightened' so to speak. Everyone looked at Chazz, realizing that Syrus was right.

Chazz himself was confused as well. He had lost, yet...still felt the same. Salome shockingly spoke up then.

"He's conserving his strength." Salome stated flatly, making everyone look at her.

Sartorius was conserving his power, no doubt for the final showdown against Jaden. A lot of older members, ie her, Miles, Ronald, and Ant, had begun to have doubts later on in the tournament. That meant whatever hold and power the Light had over them had weakened, no doubt from spreading itself out. The only exceptions to the rule were Amelia, Ian, and Jerome. Sartorius probably didn't want to waste power corrupting others now that he is in the final stretch.

"She's right," Alexis stated, eyes cold. "Before, I could feel Sartorius and the Light. I don't now, but I still get phantom feelings from time to time."

"Right, why waste power on a useless pawn when he can take out a knight or even a Queen?" Chazz said, using chess analogy.

"Apt analogy, Chazz." Bastion said, crossing his arms frowning. "Still, what is the endgame?"

They knew it had to do with the SORA satellite, but Jaden had taken that out of play with the destruction of the key. The question now though was how was Sartorius gonna accomplish his goal?

The lack of an answer made them all nervous.

EODGX

Everyone returned to the arena, taking their seats. Jaden was already down there, arms crossed. Across from him in the Red Corner was David. The cocky man blew a kiss to each girl he saw, but then sent some...gestures to Alexis, Mindy, Jasmine, and Fonda.

Jaden clamped down on his rage, seeing the man smirking up a storm. He wanted him mad. Mad meant making mistakes. Sadly for David, Jaden knew how to keep his anger in check.

The Ref ascended to his spot, looking at the pair. He instructed them to the center, handing over the decks. The pair wordlessly did so, shuffling. David had that cocky smile on his face, but Jaden just ignored it. Done shuffling, they returned the decks to their owners.

Both walked away, slotting their decks in. Both disks deployed and the ref raised his flag. He spouted off the rules, raising his flag to David first.

"Red corner, are you ready?!"

"Ready to kick ass and take names!" David said, blowing a kiss at a group of girls who cheered.

"Blue corner, are you ready?!"

"Yes." Jaden simply said, readying.

The ref dropped the flag, one word escaping and echoing.

"DUEL!"

David: 8000/Jaden: 8000

The pair drew their opening hands. David looked over his hand when he heard Jaden speak.

"You can go first, David."

David looked shocked, but just smirked. Clearly the king knew talent when he saw it! He drew his card, checking over his hand.

His hand comprised of several low level machine type monsters and a spell. He smirked.

"I'll start by playing Gold Gadget in attack mode!"

(Gold Gadget – LV/****, Attribute/LIGHT, ATK/1700, DEF/800, Type/Machine/Effect.

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 Machine monster from your hand. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 "Gadget" monster from your Deck, except "Gold Gadget". You can only use 1 "Gold Gadget" effect per turn, and only once that turn.)

A tiny gold monster made entirely of gears appeared, posing. Another monster, a red one, appeared next to it.

"Thanks to Gold, I can summon Red Gadget from my hand."

(Red Gadget – LV/****, Attribute/EARTH, ATK/1300, DEF/1500, Type/Machine/Effect.

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Yellow Gadget" from your Deck to your hand.)

David took a card from his deck, revealing the spell card.

"I reveal the continuous spell card, Rapid Production!"

(Rapid Production – Type/Spell/Continuous.

If you control at least 2 Machine-Type monsters, special summon 1 level 6 or lower Machine-Type monster from your deck. That card cannot attack on the turn it is summoned. Destroy this card after the 3rd turn.)

"I use my spell to bring out Gear Soldier in defense mode!"

(Gear Soldier – LV/******, Attribute/FIRE, ATK/1800, DEF/2000, Type/Machine/Normal.

A rust-free machine warrior born to battle.)

A shiny armor wearing man appeared, a large gear on his right shoulder. It knelt down, lowering its rocket launcher. David smirked, ending his turn.

Jaden drew. He too looked over his hand. He had Uria, Elemental HEROes Necroshade and Bladedge, Evil HEROes Malicious Edge and Infernal Prodigy, and a spell that he drew, Dark Fusion. He smirked.

"I'll start with Prodigy being special summoned. Next, I tribute him for Malicious Edge."

The monster appeared and then vanished, being replaced by Edge. Jaden then revealed Dark Fusion, fusing the two elemental heroes.

"Arise! Evil HERO Baneblade!"

(Evil HERO Baneblade – LV/********, Attribute/EARTH, ATK/2500, DEF/3000, Type/Fiend/Fusion/Effect.

"Elemental HERO Necroshade" + 1 "Elemental HERO" monster

Must be Special Summoned with "Dark Fusion". If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage. When this card destroys a monster in battle, draw two cards.)

Baneblade looked like Necroshade, but wearing Bladedge's armor over its body. It looked at the monsters, both chuckling evilly. David felt sweat on his brow. This was not good. While Jaden had two monsters, one could deal pierce damage and who knows what the other one could do.

"Edge, attack the Soldier first."

The monster nodded, charging. The blades cut through the monster like hot knives through butter. They sailed through, slicing into him.

David: 7400

"Bane, attack that Red Gadget. Can't let him get the others out." Jaden ordered.

Bane nodded, charging and spinning like a twister. The blades easily destroyed Red, David crying out in pain.

David: 6200

Bane glowed suddenly, Jaden drawing two cards from his deck. He saw that one of them was Pot of Greed and played it. Drawing another two, he looked at his hand and nodded.

"I end my turn." Jaden said, drawing one more card thanks to Prodigy.

David drew, seeing it was his ace. The trick now was to get it out onto the field. He checked his hand, but dismayed. The cards he needed were too few. With a false glum expression, he summoned out yellow gadget.

(Yellow Gadget – LV/****, Attribute/EARTH, ATK/1200, DEF/1200, Type/Machine/Effect.

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Green Gadget" from your Deck to your hand.)

Yellow Gadget was a tiny machine monster colored yellow with a big gear on its back. Thanks to its effect, David added his Green Gadget monster to his hand. He used his Rapid Production to summon it out in defense.

(Green Gadget – LV/****, Attribute/EARTH, ATK/1400, DEF/600, Type/Machine/Effect.

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Red Gadget" from your Deck to your hand.)

Like Yellow, Green Gadget was a tiny machine with a gear for a body. It knelt down, its one optic staring. David add his second Red Gadget to his hand. He revealed a spell card.

"Nightmare's Steelcage!"

(Nightmare's Steelcage – Type/Spell/Normal

This card remains on the field for 2 of your opponent's turns. While this card is face-up on the field, no monsters can attack.)

A cage appeared around Jaden and David. Jaden frowned, watching David end his turn. The King drew, looking over his hand. He had no means to take out that Steelcage at this moment. So he simply set a monster card in facedown defense mode. He ended his turn.

David drew, his Rapid blowing up. But that was fine. He had what he needed.

"I tribute my Gold and Yellow gadget to bring forth my ace. Meet the Big Saturn!"

(The Big Saturn – LV/********, Attribute/DARK, ATK/2800, DEF/2200, Type/Machine/Effect.

Cannot be Special Summoned from the hand or Deck. Once per turn: You can discard 1 card and pay 1000 Life Points; this card gains 1000 ATK. When this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent's card effect or by battle and sent to your Graveyard: Both players take damage equal to this card's ATK in the Graveyard.)

The Big Saturn was a spheroid monster with two rockets on its back, a ring of pure energy around it. Two arms floated at its side. Pegasus bit his bottom lip, groaning.

"Oh, I should have adjusted that card's effect and had Kaiba Boy adjust the computer..." He moaned.

Everyone turned to look at the creator of Duel Monsters. At seeing this, Pegasus swiftly explained. The Big Saturn could gain a thousand points of attack a discard effect and then pay a thousand life points. The problem was that David could do it over the course of turns, making it one of the most powerful planet cards.

Mindy gasped.

"What are the odds that David has a card combo that can either replenish his deck or his life points?"

That had everyone turn. David activated the effect of his Big Saturn, discarding a card.

Saturn – ATK/2800 + 1000 → 3800

David: 5200

No sooner had it entered the Grave, it began to glow. David smirked. From his grave came a strange mummy. It was a woman, but seemed like a beauty then a corpse.

"Meet my helper, Queen Cleo."

(Queen Cleo the Undying – LV/******, Attribute/DARK, ATK/2100, DEF/2900, Type/Zombie/Effect.

This card's effect activates when it has been discarded by a Card Effect. As long as this card is in the Graveyard, increase your Life Points by this card's ATK points during each Standby Phase. At the End Phase of each turn, return cards from the GY to the deck (Except this card) equal to the number of cards on the field. Shuffle the deck.)

"I end my turn, activating my Cleo's effect."

A haze appeared around all three of Jaden's monsters, another appearing around Nightmare and Green Gadget. Five cards slid out of the grave. David returning the five to his deck, smirking as he shuffled.

Jaden drew, now seeing the strategy. Queen Cleo was a potent rare card, limited in circulation. Thanks to her power, not only would David keep his deck fresh, but regain life points too. He looked at his hand, playing E – Emergency Call and gaining a HERO for later. He placed a card facedown and ended his turn, the cage finally vanishing.

David drew, a blue aura appearing around him.

David: 7300

"I use my Saturn's effect again!" David said, discarding a card and paying the cost.

David: 6300

Saturn – ATK/3800 → 4800

"Now, Saturn, attack his Edge!"

From the machine, a beam of white energy shot out from its hands, crashing into the Evil HERO. Jaden covered his face from the explosion and debris, his points dropping.

Jaden: 5800

"I'll set this card facedown and end my turn." David said, returning cards from his grave to his deck.

Jaden frowned, drawing his card. The Big Saturn...one of nine cards called the planet series. He himself had two or three; Terra Firma, Pluto, and finally the Sun. He looked at his hand, seeing he had drawn Avatar. He hadn't even sensed her power. Either that or she masked it at the last second to surprise him.

Checking over his hand, he nodded. He revealed Dark De-fusion, regaining Bladedge and Necroshade. Once the two Elemental HEROes hit the floor, he revealed Hero's Bond.

(Hero's Bond – Type/Spell/Normal.

If there is a face-up "HERO" monster on the field: Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower "Elemental HERO" monsters from your hand.)

"Why play that when you split them up? You could have used it with Bane!" David demanded.

"Because thanks to this spell, I bring out Elemental HEROes Spark and Clayman. But now...I tribute them along with Necroshade!"

"One of the Wicked Gods?!" David yelp, horrified at the prospect to face down one of the Divine Beasts.

Jaden nodded, crossing his arms.

"Mighty Beast born from Darkness moste Dark, strike terror into my enemies heart! Consume this land and its light, secure my victory in this fight! I beseech thee, as King Supreme, grace our game! Now I summon you by your name! WICKED AVATAR!"

The orb of Darkness appeared, rapidly taking on the form of the Big Saturn. David snarled, knowing that this was Jaden's strongest. Everyone of the EoD cheered, but that stopped when Jaden placed a card face down and ended his turn.

"Huh? Why didn't he attack?" Mindy asked.

"I betcha The Big Saturn has another effect, one that's bad news for Jaden." Alexis pointed out.

"Indeed." Professor Sweet said, crossing his arms. "The Big Saturn, if its destroyed, preforms a Kamikaze that takes out Life points Equal to its attack points."

"That means-!" Miles gasped.

"Jaden can't attack, but David might to end the duel in a draw."

David drew his card, smirking, his life points jumping.

David: 8400

"There's an idea! I get paid either way, so long as you don't progress to the finals!" David cackled manically. "I'll use Big Saturn's effect! I'll discard this card and then attack!"

David: 7400

Big Saturn – ATK/4800 → 5800

Once more, the Saturn gathered energy ready to attack Wicked. The energy lanced out. Jaden smirked.

"Go, Magic Cylinder."

(Magic Cylinder – Type/Trap/Effect.

When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Target the attacking monster; negate the attack, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to its ATK.)

Two cylinders appeared next to Avatar. The energy surged into one and then flew out the other, striking David. He hissed, watching his counter go down.

David: 1600

"Nice~! Jaden knew what David was gonna try and prepared!" Hassleberry stated.

"Don't count that fool out yet. Next turn he can still attack and draw the duel." Jason said, scowling.

David placed a card facedown and ended, furious with himself for falling for such a cheap ploy.

Jaden drew his card, looking over his hand. He then eyed the trap he had drawn and slid it into his disk.

"I place one card facedown and then summon forth Elemental HERO Stratos. Thanks to his effect, I add Evil HERO Adjusted Gold to my hand. Only now I use his effect."

(Evil HERO Adjusted Gold – LV/****, Attribute/DARK, ATK/2100, DEF/800, Type/Fiend/Effect.

You can discard this card; add 1 "Dark Fusion", or 1 card that mentions it, from your Deck to your hand, except "Evil HERO Adusted Gold". You can only use this effect of "Evil HERO Adusted Gold" once per turn. Cannot attack unless you control a Fusion Monster.)

Jaden added another card from his hand, playing it right away. It was Dark Fusion. He revealed in his hand Valkyrion the Magna warrior and Evil HERO Malicious Edge.

"I fuse these two monsters together to make Evil HERO Dark Gaia!"

(Evil HERO Dark Gaia – LV/********, Attribute/EARTH, ATK/?, DEF/0, Type/Fiend/Fusion/Effect.

1 Fiend monster + 1 Rock monster
Must be Special Summoned with "Dark Fusion". The original ATK of this card becomes the combined original ATK of the materials used for its Fusion Summon. When this card declares an attack: You can change all Defense Position monsters your opponent controls to face-up Attack Position. (Flip effects are not activated at this time.)

Gaia was a large fiend covered in molten rock and pumice. It's eyes flashed red, landing next to his King. The spirits of Valkyrion and Edge appeared, entering Dark Gaia.

Dark Gaia – ATK/? → 6100

"But why do that?" David demanded.

Jaden didn't answer, simply ending his turn. David drew, Cleo appearing.

David: 3300

"Oh man, does this guy ever quit?!" Syrus moaned.

"I discard and pay again!"

David: 2300

Saturn – ATK/5800 → 6800

"Now its stronger..." Alexis whispered.

"SATURN! ATTACK AVATAR! END THIS DUEL IN A DRAW!"

The monster roared, firing a beam at Avatar. But Jaden smirked. Something appeared underneath Saturn before it was suddenly launched away. David gasped.

"What?!"

"You triggered my trap, Compulsory Evacuation Device!"

(Compulsory Evacuation Device – Type/Trap/Normal.

Target 1 monster on the field; return that target to the hand.)

Saturn had been returned to David's hand. Bastion smiled.

"That didn't trigger Saturn's self destruct!"

"And all of David's spells and traps that can help him get it back out are all gone!" Syrus pointed out.

David stared at his hand, shocked. He couldn't believe it! He had the perfect strategy! He had the means and knowledge but...his best was still bested! He stared blankly, the timer running out for him.

At the buzzing noise, Jaden drew his card. He simply looked to Dark Gaia who nodded. The large monster summoned a meteor to his hand before throwing it at David.

The burning rock slammed into the man, making him fall flat on his ass.

David: 0

Jaden smirked, walking away from the arena. He saw Professor Sweet walking by and gave a nod.

"Good luck."

"I'll need it. I'm against Aster." Jason said, walking to the arena.

Jaden hurried to his seat. He did not want to miss the duel.

EODGX

Jaden and everyone watched the duel commence. Professor Jason had started off strong, using Red-Eyes fusion to make Black Comet. He had then used its effect and Inferno to dole out some hard damage to Aster.

But Aster turned it around with a new spell card, Greater Polymerization.

(Greater Polymerization – Type/Spell/Normal.

Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using 3 or more monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Material, and if you do, it gains these effects.
●This card cannot be destroyed by card effects.
●If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage.)

"I use my Destiny HEROes Diamond Dude, Doom Lord and Captain Tenacious to make a new HERO! Meet my Fate HERO Rapture!"

(Fate HERO Rapture – LV/**********, Attribute/LIGHT, ATK/4000, DEF/4000, Type/Warrior/Fusion/Effect.

3 "Destiny HERO" Monsters

Can only be summoned by Fusion Summon. This card cannot attack directly. Once per turn, you can remove 1 "Destiny HERO" monster from your GY; select 1 monster on the field and destroy it. Then Special Summon to your side of the Field 1 "Destiny HERO" whose level is equal to the destroyed monster, ignoring any Summoning Conditions. This card cannot be destroyed by battle. At the End Phase of your turn, reduce your opponent's Life points by half. During each of your Standby Phases, select 1 removed from play "Destiny HERO" and return it to the bottom of your deck.

Effects from Great Polymerization:

This card cannot be destroyed by card effects.
●If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage.)

Rapture was a winged woman with three faces wearing a tunic. In her hand was a staff of gold with wings on it. But Aster wasn't idle. He activated Rapture's effect. By banishing one Destiny HERO in his grave, he could destroy Comet. The monster blew apart, Jason covering his face. From Aster's deck came a familiar monster.

"Destiny HERO Dogma! Now, I declare a direct attack on you with Dogma!"

Jason: 4600

"I'll end my turn with this card facedown." Aster said smugly.

Jason drew, only for an aura to appear around him from both Dogma and Rapture.

Jason: 2300 (Dogma) → 1150 (Rapture)

"I'll activate my trap, Red-Eyes Spirit! Come back Red-Eyes!"

The fabled dragon appeared, but Aster was ready.

"Reveal facedown trap! False Destiny!"

(False Destiny – Type/Trap/Normal.

Activate when your opponent summons a monster. Select 1 'Destiny HERO' OR 'Fate HERO'. Destroy it and then inflict damage equal to Half of the summoned monsters original ATK.)

Dogma shattered into several pieces, the pieces becoming a ghostly image of Red-Eyes. Jason's eyes went wide before sighing.

"Fine, you win and the card is yours...but you and your master are still going to fail." Jason said, taking the damage.

Jason: 1150 → 0

Aster laughed arrogantly, taking the Plasma card from the man. All Jason did was glare and walk away. Sheppard stood up.

"That concludes the Sweet Sixteen! Tomorrow will begin the Quarter Finals!"

Everyone left, all getting annoyed with how persistent the Light was being right now.

Ouch. Talk about a rough loss for the professor. But Jaden overcame the challenge of my version of The Big Saturn. But what awaits him in the Eight? Stay tuned~!
