Invasion Part 4
Metrópolis : 2010
07:12 P.M.
POV : Third
All the heroes saw, the giant that came out of the portal, almost four meters tall, armor covering his body, a large golden Ω(omega) on his chest, and eyes that only contained the purest evil.
"I, am death, I am entropy, I... am Darkseid." His voice was heavy, like metal hitting metal, but everyone could understand.
Diana never felt so many negative feelings coming from a living being, Batman never felt so small, Lantern for the first time felt fear, Flash thought that no matter how fast he runs he can't run from it, Superman found someone who seemed to be more powerful than him, Cyborg was in despair.
As for Blackagar, he saw a threat , not only to his people, but to all sentient and non - sentient life, he saw something that simply could not exist in this world, he walked towards the giant, the beasts roared towards the sky and flew towards the heroes.
"Damn!!, we need to fix these guys fast!!" Lantern said lifting his ring.
Blackagar became distant from the group.
"Who leads your group brilliant man!?, we need to organize." Diana said with a serious look.
"So you're not looking back." Batman said in a neutral voice.
"Oh please!!, listen beautiful, I can do anything with this ring, Flash here moves faster than anything, Superman juggles trucks, we don't need a supposed Metahuman leading us, and what? does your quiet friend do?" Lantern declared placing himself in front of the Amazon, Diana only raised her eyebrow.
Blackagar who was closest to the raft just looked at the beasts coming, he didn't need to prove anything, but at this point he needed to let everyone know he wouldn't be a burden.
"Die." He whispered, the wave of sonic energy mixed with electrons swept all the beasts of existence, splitting the sea in two, and shook the structure where humans were taken, drawing the attention of Darkseid who narrowed his eyes.
Blackagar turned around and looked at his allies in that battle, everyone had impressed looks except Batman who just narrowed his eyes.
"I think…that was an answer Hal." Flash said with his jaw dropped, ignoring that he spoke his friend's name.
"Amazing!!, I knew you were hiding a great powerful power!!, I just didn't imagine it would be something like that, but why don't you use it often?" Diana asked confused, she was always proud of her powers, never feeling ashamed to show them.
"He can't, can he?" Batman stated and asked, Blackagar nodded in confirmation and used sign language.
'My powers have given my voice a destructive force, but I simply cannot control the potency, so I remain silent." Blackagar explained.
"I see, well we need to make a perimeter, I have already contacted local forces, the government will keep these monsters away from the center of the country, but other countries are also being invaded." Batman started to lead.
"Guys..." Flash called, everyone looked at him, the speedster pointed at Darkseid and his arms glowing, everyone knew this wouldn't be good, the giant alien clapped his hands, and a shock wave destroyed everything in front of him.
The heroes would have been engulfed had it not been for the force field that Lantern and Blackagar made, but the rest of Metropolis' coast was not so lucky.
"By Hera..." Diana declared seeing the destruction caused by that single attack.
"Can anyone… can anyone get up?" Batman questioned as he emerged from the rubble.
Flash and Superman got up faster, but the problem was that Darkseid was already on the shore, floating, as if touching the same ground as they were something below him, he looked at the two heroes standing, his eyes shining.
"Um...hey Sup, I think I better start running!!" Flash said when he saw in slow motion two energy beams coming towards them, he wasted no time and ran, pushing the Kryptonian who was still processing everything.
Superman soon began to fly as his thoughts sorted themselves out, but to the shock of both energy beams curving and seeming to be locked on them, even when they were both measly blurs of speed, the attack didn't stop.
The two separated, but in the end Superman was hit, being knocked out, and being taken away by ParaDemon, Flash managed to dodge making the beam that was chasing him hit a Parademon, but he ended up getting tired.
Blackagar realized they were scattered, he knew his allies were powerful in their own right, but they didn't seem used to following a command, he looked to the most dangerous of them, the only common human.
Batman seemed to understand the situation and nodded and went in search of the one who could be most useful, meanwhile he decided that he would distract the leader of this invasion.
Darkseid was stoic, floating on this piece of earth and mud in the universe, he had no doubt that this world would fall as the Kryptonian had fallen, just like everyone else, but the figure's voice came back to his memory.
"It's not the Kryptonian you should be worried about." He didn't think there was an earthling that could compare to the Kryptonian, his race was the closest to matching the New Gods, even if it was very far from his level.
But something caught his eye, the human with the voice capable of wiping out a squad of his Parademons, he narrowed his eyes, the human's arrogance was foreign to Darkseid, hadn't he seen his latest show of strength?
"You are either very brave or foolish if you think you can against me mortal." Darkseid declared, but only silence was his response.
"You so-called heroes are only delaying the inevitable, but I feel merciful, bow down and die peaceful deaths, or face me and die that ravaged your souls until the afterlife." Blackagar stood before Darkseid, looking into his eyes.
"So, little mortal, what's your answer?" Darkseid asked, not seeing what this little being could do to him.
Blackagar just sucked in air, he recalled some memories from the past, when his father was still alive and he was still trapped in his glorified cage.
"I want you to mark something on your mind Blackagar, you are my heir, and as such you will be the future King of all our people, so you must remember, a King is someone you don't trust, someone who is always in firstline, and above all a real King doesn't bow, no matter the situation!" He said this as he put Blackagar through a shock test to avoid screaming in pain.
'Father, even if you don't deserve my love, you were right about something, as a King I can't bow down, not to such an unholy being, I'll give him my answer and that my allies will surely agree.' Blackagar thought.
"NOOOOOOOO!!" He screamed, with force, and without hesitation, the energy blast forced Darkseid to put his hands in front, his armor being shattered and his body suffering cuts from the force of pressure.
One of the results of so much power released was electrons shattering in the air, causing a massive explosion, killing all the Parademons around and causing the ground to go flat.
The damage was high, so much so that even Blackagar was affected, his robes ripping, he looked around, his reflexes saving him from being grabbed by a huge hand coming out of the smoke, red eyes bulging.
Blackagar backed away as far as he could, slightly surprised that anyone could resist a scream from him, but he didn't let that affect him, he saw the figure of Darkseid, with half of his torso exposed and blood coming out of a few light cuts, but he didn't look very hurt, except for his pride, for his expression was one of fury.
How could Darkseid not be on a rampage? is he a God being brought to that state by a mere mortal? No, he underestimated his opponent, something he shouldn't do, he was warned and would now take this threat seriously.
"By Hera!!" But he was taken out of his mind by a sword coming towards his neck, he just threw a slap that hit the Amazon's stomach, sending her away, a green light covering the sky and a giant hand came to her face, a punch was more than enough to rip apart the dog construct of the supposed Guardians of the Universe.
Darkseid now knew, this world wasn't like the others, this world had something he, apart from, hated.This world and its people had hope, hope to win.
