Attack Part 1

Currently, teleportation technology is mobilized by Star Labs, founded in honor of the scientists who discovered and studied Zeta Rays, an energy capable of moving matter from point A to point B.With this experiment he brought the Martian J'onn J'onzz to Earth, but died of a heart attack due to the shock of seeing J'onn's appearance. After this incident the study of Zeta Rays became crucial to the development of the Zeta Tubes, which became a means for the Justice League to transit around the globe. But this technology had a small bias, there had to be at least two Zeta tubes for the transition to work, otherwise the device simply did not work, in addition it was limited to one person at a time , making it less viable for other forces such as armies.
However, six months after the arrival of Sunspot, the Brazilian hero began to work on a new way to use the Zeta Rays, using his intellect from the geniuses of a slightly more advanced universe, he had achieved.
Using the designs of the Chronal accelerator developed by the most sympathetic gorilla in video games, Winston, and adapting it with Zeta tube technology, he developed a device he called the Zeta Boom.
It had a format similar to the Chronal accelerator used by the character called Tracer, but instead of the blue energy it emitted the golden Zeta rays, it created something called "Zeta Zone", everyone in that zone would be subject to teleportation to another previously designated area, able to take even large vessels, this project had been financed by the government and now was the time to show results.
The question was the source of energy, because a device of that size to teleport the entire fleet would need enormous amounts of energy, but luckily, they had an unlimited source of clean and renewable energy, and that was the Sunspot.
All the soldiers saw the hero messing with the device and were waiting for the moment of the attack, and when the last minute of the attack timer was gone, they were surrounded by a huge golden dome, and before they realized it, there was no one in the Bay of Guanabara as they were teleported out to sea from Santa Prisca.

The Justice League had issued an emergency meeting at its satellite base, due to the fact that the deadline for the Brazilian attack was running out and the two sides appeared to be willing to slaughter each other.
"So what are our options?" Superman asked the League members who were present at that emergency meeting to discuss the matter.
They were present, Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Red Tornado, Green Arrow, Green Lantern Hal Jordan, Black Canary, Captain Marvel and Aquaman, those who were not present had more pressing matters, less the Martian manhunter who was on a mission secret.
After the Santa Prisca broadcast ended, the Hall of Justice was besieged by an army of reporters wanting to know where the League stood and whether it would interfere, including Lois Lane. This was clearly a sovereign issue for Brazil as per the stated intention of the Brazilian government, but the presence of superhuman criminals allowed for the deployment of the League in accordance with the UN League charter to which Brazil was a signatory. Behind-the-scenes pressure from the US government and its allies was not helping.
"I vote we stay out of this battle and let the Colombian military handle it." Green Arrow spoke, while others looked at him in surprise.
"Don't you think you're being a little drastic?" Dinah asked her husband.
"Hey, for once, I'm on board with what they're doing there! Did you know the street value of coke has skyrocketed 700% in Star City?, drug addicts and gangs are running out of drugs everywhere, and if Brazilians hit the hammer in Santa Prisca, we're looking at the end of a certain criminal profession forever! Tell me, can't you not be okay with this?" He asked as the others considered his point.
"I agree that this is the most logical course of action." Red Tornado spoke.
"Although it has led to much violence between gangs, this is a passing wave and according to my calculations it will soon die out permanently, I suggest that they let the Brazilians deal with the criminals." The scarlet machine finished its speech.
"It's not that simple" Batman said.
"While I agree that this is good from a long-term perspective, it will do a lot of damage in the short term, in the last nine months since Sunspot began its crackdown, drug shipments to the U.S. have dropped by 55% and other places of production such as Mexico, Afghanistan, Bialya or even Qurac can't keep up with excessive demand, criminal groups are getting desperate, data points to over 4,789 criminals killed in clashes with law enforcement in the US alone since this began, if we add that number from all over the world, it goes up to a hundred thousand or more." Batman showed the data on the holographic screen.
"Not to mention the collateral damage and innocents caught in the crossfire, even if we are very capable, we can't be everywhere, and even then we also have to consider that cartels can lash out in desperation, causing massive damage. " Superman pointed as everyone looked at the numbers on their monitors.
"I think we're past that point, Batman, or didn't you see that lunatic call the Brazilian government and Sunspot to war?" Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern currently on Earth, spoke as he brought up Snowflame's speech again.
"Yes, the real reason the US and some other countries are upset is because the Colombian government is using a superhuman as their legal enforcer, and everyone is just jealous of the fact that they didn't think of that first." Wonder Woman pointed, to which Batman nodded.
"If this is successful, we could see countries rushing to build their own national superhuman forces, and we will be looking at a potential superhuman arms race, which is not a good development for an international organization like ours." Batman pointed.
"Perhaps the fact that the League was only filled with US-based heroes gave the impression that we are affiliated only with the United States, despite our mandate in the UN, this may be one reason why the Brazilians took this path." Aquaman speculated, while some were clumsy at the thought.
"Perhaps it was a mistake not to expand the League earlier and bring in more people from all over the world, and now we will have to expand even more after that, if only to pacify the panicked politicians and undermine the eventual superhuman super-arms race that will develop." Superman pointed, while everyone was silent.
"Let's be honest, the real reason the government's nose is so out of place is because they can't deal with the fact that a powerful superhuman who is not American and not in the League is working for another government." Black Canary pointed.
"They're literally watching the Brazilian government use what they've dreamed of for years, and it's giving many members of Congress a serious case of heartburn." Green Arrow agreed.
"Yes, but that doesn't change the question, what are we going to do with Santa Prisca?" Aquaman brought up the questioning.
"We watch, and if things go wrong, we intervene, I've already sent the Martian Manhunter on a spy mission, your powers will be perfect for that." Batman declared, to which there were deep breaths among the table.
"Don't you think it's a little dangerous to send J'onn alone?" Wonder Woman questioned.
"Perhaps, but your skills are the only ones that can handle any scenery, not to mention we couldn't send the Team, not with the situation being so unstable." Batman said, reassuring those who didn't want children involved.
"What if things don't get out of hand?" Hal Jordan asked.
"So we stayed put." Superman replied.
"Many governments, including ours, will not be happy about this." He pointed at Green Arrow, to which Superman shrugged.
"They will learn to deal with it." Everyone but Batman laughed at the good humor.
But then suddenly an emergency call was triggered, Batman immediately answered, it was the Martian Manhunter's communicator.
"J'onn what happened?!" Batman quickly questioned.
"We have a problem." J'onn said as he observed the situation in front of him, he then triggered a camera and the images were reaching the Watch Tower.
"I suspected that. He really was hiding a lot about himself." Batman half whispered, half spoke, even as everyone turned to look at him.
He silently projected his screen to everyone and the entire room went tomb-silent as the magnitude of what they were seeing deepened.
[Santa Prisca : 29/07/2010]
07:02 P.M.
Surrounding the entire island of Santa Prisca was a golden dome of energy, covering the entire circumference of the island, over 200 square miles to be exact, in a perfect sphere.
The sphere was translucent, so everyone could clearly see a battalion of attack helicopters loaded with special forces rushing inland from the island, even as more than two dozen boats raced toward the shore of the island, loaded to the brim with soldiers. Meanwhile, all around them were massive explosions as the Brazilian Air Force and Navy bombed the island with everything they had.
And watching everything hover silently above the dome like a god, pulsing with power, the Sunspot stood alone and still with a smile on its face, daring anyone to approach it. Despite everything, somehow the live stream hadn't been interrupted and it was still going on despite everything.
Within the island's jungle, two men were running for their lives, even though they were being chased by many of the island's mercenaries, if one looked closer, one would see the most curious duo of all, Bane and Sportsmaster.
As they raced ahead and took up positions to flank their pursuing force, they suddenly felt the ground shake and immediately took cover as a massive explosion ripped through the area near them, conveniently tearing their pursuers to pieces.
"What the hell was that?" Sportsmaster asked in a snarl, as he glared at Bane, who looked equally angry.
"Don't ask me buddy, I have no idea what it was either." He growled and turned to look around and cursed.
"Ai Dios Mio! What the hell is going on here?" He asked in a vague tone as he saw a large golden dome enveloping his island, leaving him confused.
"Eyes forward, compadre!" Sportsmaster growled, as he pointed towards the beach from his vantage point, a few helicopters flew over where the factory was.
On the beach, they could see about 20 fast attack boats racing towards the shore, packed to the brim with soldiers, armed with weapons of a model he had never seen before, the reason being because they were assault rifles with multiple weapons and functions such as electric bullets, pulse bullets and conventional bullets.
"They're attacking! Now? But there's still 11 hours to go!" Bane exclaimed in horrified shock, as Sportsmaster laughed.
"I think the government lied." He pointed.
"But… governments don't do that! We are the bad guys! We are the ones who should lie, cheat and create trouble! Not the other way around!" Bane insisted, losing his composure as the Spanish accent came out.
At any other time, coming from a criminal like himself, it would have been comical, even ridiculous, but it was evident that the situation had thrown the poor man a little off balance.
"News, Friend! Governments lie, all of them! That's what they always do! What did you expect them to do? Take your mano-a-mano for a duel like old times? Grow up!" Sportsmaster spoke sharply, while Bane composed himself.
"Si... Si", Bane reminded himself, and berated himself for that poor show of control.
Of course, that crazy Snowflame had openly defied the Brazilian government, that was to be expected, governments always had one rule, no one can publicly humiliate them or all bets are off, clearly, that was the case here, and if so, Santa Prisca was lost, perhaps forever.
"But who the hell could do that kind of thing? Covering an entire island like that is beyond anything! It's like the work of God." Bane muttered, to which Sportsmaster handed over his binoculars and pointed them at the sky.
"That golden asshole just came up the food chain, we thought he was hiding his powers, but this... this shit is something else." Sportsmaster mentioned quietly as he silently watched the Sunspot hovering over the island.
Of course, neither criminal could imagine that the dome was made using hardlight manipulation equipment, another thing that was powered by Sunspot's powers, was capable of forming constructs of solid light similar to Green Lanterns, but it was necessary, more knowledge than imagination to function.
"So, you think he knows we're here?" Bane asked after a moment, to which Sportsmaster looked at him with a look that said, "Are you really asking me something that stupid?"
"The only reason he left us is because he has bigger fish to fry." Sportsmaster pointed, to which Bane nodded in agreement.
"Então, ele pegou um frasco do bolso e jogou para o Sportsmaster, que o pegou surpreso."
Then, he took a flask from his pocket and threw it to the Sportsmaster, who caught him in surprise.
"What? Why ?" Sportsmaster looked at Bane in confusion, the man sighed, Bane had just given up his only bargaining tool, the last vial of Kobra Venom.
"Look... Hermano it's obvious that Santa Prisca is lost, and without Santa Prisca, I have no home and no occupation, so please consider it a sign of good faith to your employers if they have a vacancy for another executor, I wouldn't mind acting as his replacement if that happens." Bane explained dejectedly.
"You know what... Brother, if we get off this rock, this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship." Sportsmaster chuckled jokingly as the two men headed towards another of Bane's hideouts.
'The attack is going well, I could see the figures of Bane and Sportsmaster working together, it was kind of comical, but it also showed the seriousness of the matter, I was altering the timeline in this universe, this should be the moment Aqualad is elected leader of the Team but I destroyed this mission with my intervention.' Sunspot thought as he surveyed the island.
"The radar is detecting anti-aircraft missiles!" A radar technician aboard the ARC frigate Hernan Cortes spoke in an urgent tone.
"I'm picking up the signal, their radar is locked on the helicopters..." The man spoke quickly, as alarms sounded from the ships as the helicopters quickly began to make evasive maneuvers.
"Warning! Warning! Missile launch! I count one...two...ten! Ten anti-aircraft missiles in the air...speed at...six thousand knots and climbing!" The disbelief in the radar operator's tone was palpable . These missiles were moving at a pace only able to be achieved by ballistic missiles.
'From what little I've studied of this world, there was only one man capable of turning a ballistic missile into an anti-aircraft missile, Lex Luthor, so the reinforcements sent by Light were bribed by Snowflame.' Sunspot thought, his hands already glowing with power.
"I'll take care of it." Sunspot said as he quickly flew towards the center of the island in less than a second.
He then flew towards the missiles, his hands were charged with enough power to destroy entire buildings, and he fired surgically aiming at the missiles, hitting them with precision.
"Well fuck..." Sportsmaster spoke silently as he looked at the scene with wide eyes while Bane remained silent.
"I really hope your employers can get us out of this hell, Hermano, because I don't think anyone can." Bane replied dumbfounded as he too looked at the scene above their heads in the sky.
The world looked on in shock as Sunspot quickly and easily destroyed one of the most powerful weapons made by human hands, placing him at the top of the world's most powerful heroes, including Superman and Wonder Woman.
Suddenly, everyone was jolted back as they watched a pillar of fire, burning reddish-white in color enveloping Sunspot completely.
The Pillar of Flame literally reached a height of two kilometers before it went out, and as soon as it was over, they were shocked to see Sunspot alive and without a scratch, and more importantly, to see a man standing in front of him, ready for battlefire.
Snowflame had arrived, and he was practically a star from how bright his flames were.
"You know, I considered you a threat due to your powers seeming to have no limit, but I realize now that it was an unfounded concern, what good is having so much power if you only scratch the surface." Sunspot spoke while dusting off his suit, mocking his opponent.
Snowflame didn't respond, he was at such a high hallucinatory level that it was a surprise to Sunspot that he managed to fight off all things.
"Well, let's see if your flames can burn the sun, it's ironic that the South American continent gives birth to so many Metahumans with pyrokinesis." Sunspot laughed, and soon the battle was on.
