First Mission Part 1

09:20 A.M.
It's been a few days since Overwatch was introduced, and its members have already started to gain notoriety, they received immediate public attention due to the novelty factor but they managed to maintain that due to their own skills.
They stopped some crimes and dismantled some criminal groups, but that wasn't Overwatch's only focus, they also focused on stopping environmental crimes, bringing resources to less developed areas, bringing food, repopulating green areas, and bringing basic resources like medical aid and feed. These feats earned him much public approval and thanks to the influences of the governments that funded the group they were not short of resources or influence and the UN could not stop their movement, which means the US could not simply say no their actions on their own sovereign soil, as it would be seen as favoritism towards the Justice League group which is mostly composed of American citizens, even if they don't have much affection for the heroes.
Now Sunspot who was the interim Leader of the organization and its members was looking at the younger members who hadn't participated in any combat missions yet, he looked at Mirage, Aquamaria, Magma and Miguel, the last one had already fought a super criminal and therefore would be the leader of the improvised group.
"My young people, as you have grown, I cannot say how proud I am." Roberto said in an elderly voice, to the girls' amusement and Miguel's annoyance.
"Sir, I believe you have a special mission for the four of us." Miguel asked formally.
"Oh, how cute you are trying to act all serious, but yes you have a mission, in particular you will act in conjunction with an individual outside of Overwatch." As soon as Roberto said that, another individual entered the office, he was tall, he was in shape, he wore a tight red and black suit, with a bow in his hand, a quiver on his back and red hair with a mask covering only the region of his eyes.
"Team, meet Red Arrow, formerly known as Speedy, accuracy archer, expert in espionage, investigations, armed and unarmed combat...although not his area, and also the one who will guide you to your mission." Roberto said smiling at Roy Harper's furrowed brow.
"Yes…I'm not working for you, and I want this to be clear, this is a partnership you requested." Roy said emphasizing their egalitarian relationship.
"Of course, that would never be a way to make your former mentor jealous, but enough about that, let's get back to the serious part of the job." Roberto made a serious expression and took a device and turned on a holographic screen showing an island.
"This is Infinity Island, base of operations for a centuries-old organization known as the League of Shadows, led by the immortal with many quotes on that part, Ra's Al Ghul, a man with seven hundred years of career as an assassin, they are one of the most influential and secret criminal underworld organizations."
"Not so secret after being exposed by Batman is it?" Aquamaria said with a smile.
"In fact, since then they've started recruiting super criminals into their ranks, it's boosted their already great influence and now they have something that can cause real trouble." Roberto said as images of a woman with short blonde hair in glasses and a lab coat appeared.
"Arrow please." Roberto gave the voice to the young hero.
"This is Dr. Rocket, specialist in nanotechnology from MIT, she was kidnapped six months ago by the League of Shadows, they are forcing her to build some kind of weapon." Roy gave his part of the report.
"It's just as our consultant said, and as you may have read in your textbooks, nanotechnology has enormous war potential." Roberto said seriously as the members present nodded in agreement, there was a whole class just about how harmful this kind of science could be harmful.
"Your mission is simple, invade the island, save the Doctor, destroy the data acquired from the Shadows, and then take the Doctor to League." Roberto's last sentence left his subordinates confused.
"For League?, are you sure sir?" Miguel asked with a raised eyebrow.
"It was part of my agreement with Robin Hood's apprentice, though he still doesn't seem to trust us." Roberto said.
"Don't act like there's no reason for this, and otherwise I'm just working with you on resources, but I'm not following orders." Roy stated once more.
"Wow, so many problems with authority, but anyway, that relieves me a little, it means that if you die it's not our responsibility." Roberto said callously, making Roy and the others tense.
"It's going to be alright!!, even though Shadow's members are dangerous, they were trained to assassinate, direct fights were never their forte, now get ready, you're going to leave at night." As soon as he said that he dismissed everyone but Roy.
"You know, of all the League's protégés, you always seemed to give the adult heroes the most trouble." Roberto said as he poured a drink into his glass.
"AND...?" Roy asks irritably.
"But you also seemed to be very promising, there may be a place in Overwatch for you, until then, try to keep yourself together, even with the Broken Arrow." Roberto smiled at the last statement.
[Infinity Island]
08:20 P.M.
Above the island the four young heroes were using one of the newly designed aircraft for stealth missions, they were preparing their equipment while waiting for the landing time. Roy was preparing the special arrows he received, Roberto wouldn't send him there without the best equipment.
Miguel was the leader of his companions, but he had no authority over the Red Arrow, so he had to be careful so that his friends weren't in danger, he was already devising strategies when the warning signs rang in his ears.
"Very well, let's land near the coast where we'll go to the area where Doctor Roquette is trapped, from there we'll take her to the safe zone and then we'll use the Zeta Zone to leave the island." Miguel said as the heroines agreed, and even Roy was satisfied.
"We can't take too long, the island is filled with an army of very, very well trained ninjas, Mirage you will create a barrier around us so we won't be noticed, Aquamaria you will incapacitate their vessels, Magma you will cause a small eruption volcanic rock to attract the most soldiers, giving me and Red Arrow a chance to catch the Doctor." That was the plan Miguel came up with, the three nodded and Red Arrow had no opinions on.
The floodgate opened letting the winds in, the five jumped in without worrying, Red Arrow had received a new design in the form of a belt, it had an Anti-gravity effect and it slowed down his darling, Aquamaria went directly into the water, Magma in the form of lava infiltrated the ground, Spider-Man, Mirage and Red Arrow glided towards the forest.
Aquamaria swam all over the docks, the ones that were in sight and even the ones that were in caves, using her water control she disabled the engines of all the aquatic vehicles, and also filled their systems with small spheres of water, which exploded when she give the order.
Magma on the other hand was doing something much more extravagant, she pulled the lava that was below the island and with effort she pulled a real mini volcano, alerting all possible systems, soon several squadrons were sent to investigate, satisfied she hid, causing tremors in the area she was in.
Meanwhile the three who infiltrated the forest were running at full speed, Mirage had created a psychic barrier that prevented them from being seen, she was not as powerful as Megan, but she knew how to use her powers in a creative way and without a doubt with several effects, this allowed the three to infiltrate the base without further problems.
The three infiltrated the base, passing by several guards who were running in another direction, no doubt due to Magma's distraction, they then arrived at the place where the Doctor was being held and luckily she had nothing holding her. she was not alone.
An elderly man, with long white hair and a beard on his chin, blind eye due to a scar, he was short but well built, with a stern expression on his face, wearing a blood red robe with matching pants with a golden belt.
"You are not welcome." He said looking directly at the three young heroes.
"Spider-Man, he can see us." Mirage said in surprise.
"Your trick of his is creative and very well executed child, but my mind has long ceased to be affected by mere illusions." The Old Man said in his calm but authoritative tone.
"Well...super hero rule number fifteen, never assume the foreground can go smoothly." Spider-Man said as he got into a fighting stance, the others followed suit.
"Wise words young man." The old man said, then a group of ninjas revealed themselves, along with a girl wearing a green kimono and a cat mask, and a man wearing a completely dark spider suit.
"Okay, Sensei, Black Spider and Cheshire, I think we're in good odds here." Miguel said with good humor.
"Only if it's good chances to die you copycat!!" Black Spider said accusingly, Spider Man just shrugged.
"Kill them all." Sensei said, but when he said that he was hit in the face by a kick that sent him backwards hitting the Doctor's data equipment who screamed in fright.
Spider-Man thanked his heavens for being fast, and also for Mirage's skill being so subtle that he distracted the assassins, but now there was no way as they attacked with everything.
'Mirage take Doctor Roquette and take her away, let's get to the meeting point as soon as possible' Spider-Man sent a telepathic message to his companion who waved.
"Okay bitches, who will be the first to get my ass kicked today?!" Spider Man screamed jumping on the ceiling, the answer he got was shurikens flying towards him.
Red Arrow prepared his arrows and fought with Cheshire, the two looked like cat and mouse in their dispute, failing to hit the other, meanwhile Mirage fled with Doctor Roquette, again using her mirage field to hide them.
Sensei got up, recovered slightly from the kick with super strength, but his nose had been broken, but mostly his pride had been hurt and he couldn't let that go unpunished.
