Injustice League Part 1
[HQ B08 : 09/09/2010]
03:23 P.M.
At the main base of Overwatch all members were gathered, the reason was the transmission made by a group of individuals who called themselves the League of Injustice, they threatened the world with super giant plants capable of high destruction, they were scattered around the world and would do huge damage.
"Something is very wrong." Anansi said as he scratched his chin.
"What gives you that impression?" Vixen asked her mate.
"See, I'm kind of an expert in illusions and deception, so I can smell when something is being covered up, and this group sounds exactly like that." Anansi said looking at the members.
"Joker, Atomic Skull, Ultra-Humanite, Poison Ivy, Count Vertigo, Wotan and Major Force, really just heavy hitters." Fire said as she scanned the members.
"And without a doubt they will cause enormous damage, we need to get in touch with the League to coordinate a joint operation, lives could be lost in this confrontation." Red Guardian said with a certain accent.
"I don't know if they're going to like it, but in the current situation, I don't think they have much choice." 08 He said in his robotic voice.
"Well, everyone has great points, I've already contacted the League, they believe it's a secret society that has coordinated some of the most complex criminal operations today, anyway, they're already aware that we're going to act." Sunspot said ending the dialogue.
"Overwatch, you have been a new symbol of security and prosperity, with both combat and humanitarian missions, you are my ideal vision of a super group, but today we will fight to prevent death, together with some of the most powerful heroes of the world, so I need you to keep your full focus." Sunspot said igniting their hearts.
"Miguel, you, Mirage, Aquamaria, Magma and Flora Man will work together with the League's Team of young heroes, don't ask unnecessary questions, just work well together." After that, the referred members left to carry out their mission.
"As for the rest of you!, we have multiple cities to protect, these bastards have spread to many places, luckily the greatest concentration of them is in the United States." Sunspot said with a sly smile.
"Here are your delegations, Overwatch!! Forward!" After that the teams split up.
[Beijing]
03:40 P.M.
The huge plants crossed hundreds of meters of ground, creating a huge chaos, people were running away while trying not to be hit by the wreckage of the buildings hit. A child ended up tripping and would be crushed by one of the roots bigger than trucks, she closed her eyes filled with tears, just waiting for her end.
But the sound of something cutting the air filled her ears, opening her eyes she saw an energy arrow making a huge hole in the root, saving her from certain death, Sky Archer just blinked as he left for major fight.
0-8 being a sophisticated machine with millennia of experience managed to save civilians efficiently, destroying incoming debris and roots, he left the fighting to his comrades. His primary objective would always be to take care of civilians, this came from his creation when his "Father" instilled this feeling in him.
Red Guardian was definitely the most destructive member of the group, his energy blasts wreaked havoc on the huge plant. He still remembers when the strangest thing this world had was himself, he had a mission anyway, and he wouldn't fail, it was time to end the plans of petty criminals.
[Port-au-Prince]
04:03 A.M.
The capital of Haiti was quite pleasant, even more so after the investments made by Brazil and Overwatch, the country suffered a huge development boom but they would have to do a huge renovation after that day because the plants were doing a revisionism in civil construction.
An orange trail was picking people up close, taking them away, Vixen was using the powers of a Leopard to pull people away from the combat. Anansi wasn't that fast, but he summoned thousands of copies of himself to guide people away, his biggest flaw was that his illusions had no physical effect on the world. Meanwhile the sky itself darkened, lightning began to cross the sky like serpents.
Storm, looking like a Goddess flew over the skies of the capital, bringing a real storm to suppress the giant plants, lightning hit the huge monstrosities, setting the plants on fire, then hailstones in the form of thorns descended, when they hit they froze everything, but the plants were cured with considerable speed, this battle would not end quickly.
[Gotham City]
04:20 A.M.
Sunspot was surprised, something that happened very infrequently these days, unfortunately the surprise came from the smell and taste of the gothic city air, it was simply hell with every breath, Sunspot seriously thought about charring the city to rid the world of such a smell.But that was a thought for later, he was busy pulling the huge plant out of the ground, as he saw Fire charred the roots still attached, no doubt he wouldn't partner with her on purpose, it was merely a coincidence.
"You know!!, it wasn't exactly my idea of a date when you asked me to partner you!!" She screamed as she dodged a killer vine, Harry Potter fans were no doubt freaking out.
"Neither did mine, this city probably wouldn't be anyone's idea of a date!! unfortunately...!!" He made one more effort, plucking up the blueprint larger than a twenty-story building and lifting it over her head.
"We were out of options!!, Batman I'm taking this thing into space!!" He wouldn't say he stole the idea from Captain Marvel, he would never admit it.
"Roger that, we're almost done here." Batman said in the same monotone voice as him.
"What a cool guy." Fire said landing on a building.
"That's Batman for you." He then launched with all his might, sending the plant off the planet.
"So...how about dinner after this?" Sunspot asked his partner.
Fire just smiled, and said that he would pay, Sunspot laughed as he agreed, but in parallel he was still worried about the younger members.
[Rio de Janeiro]
04:25 P.M.
"The Gringos seem incapable of thinking of any other city in Brazil than beautiful Rio de Janeiro!! , but I think that makes them predictable!! , so keep it up." El Gaucho said to Ya'Wara as he did a backflip.
"I couldn't agree more, let's end this monster anyway!!" El Gaúcho took out two revolvers, soon a whole battalion joined them.
The battle would last for some time, they were not the most powerful members but they were experienced and without a doubt with the help of the armed forces they would continue to win.
However, while the adults fought and won, being from Overwatch or the Justice League, the young heroes were going through some hardship, after all, even with heavyweight allies, they were still going against heavyweight super villains and it would not be easy to deal with them.
Author is going to finish the first season in a few more chapters, so the speed, as for the little focus on the team, that's why Author wanted to focus more on Overwatch.
