-Manhattan, S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy, the next day-

Spider-Man, Scarlet, and Agent Venom watched over the Academy students as they went over drills.

"They're doing good," Spidey praised.

"The punks still have a lot to learn," Scarlet scoffed.

"I don't know they're doing good from where I'm standing," Agent Venom argued.

The students had progressed much since they first began their training. MJ really worked as one with her symbiotic: snatching, slashing, and slamming all the training bots that came at her. Mysterio used her cunning inherited from her father and her own adapted style of strategy to trick and incapacitate her targets.

(Sometimes I still get chills of the fights I had with her dad. But maybe this will all set that to rest...I hope.)

Harry took on the role of the wild man in battle. His Iron Patriot armor beings used in a way that obviously took notes from Iron Man himself: unpredictable, calculated, and flamboyant. The two who one would think would be at a terrible disadvantage proved to adapt to change very well. Alex and Adrian had helped design and create suits of armor reflecting their former mutations and namesakes. Alex's Rhino armor was the obvious muscle and tank of the team, every bit as durable and strong as he was beforehand. Adrian's Vulture armor was swift and deadly as it was also engineered by Falcon himself, with a few changes to Adrian's choosing.

"Yeah, they've all come a long way," Spidey said.

"Ok...the punks are doing good," Scarlet admitted.

Spidey chuckled, throwing an arm around his friend.

"See, was that so hard?" Spidey giggled.

Scarlet grumbled as he suddenly had the arm in a painful lock. Spidey gasped.

"Wanna say that again?" Scarlet chuckled.

"No! No, I'm good," Spidey whimpered.

Scarlet released him. Spidey rubbed his arm, grumbling a bit.

"So, what was that thing with that...magic...uh...mystic...signal..thing?" Agent Venom asked, struggling to find the words.

"Oh...Strange said some kind of spell or something is being cast...like a bridge is being made or something. He said he doesn't like the feel of it," Spidey answered.

"Magic, gives me a headache sometimes," Agent Venom groaned.

"Yeah, I used to think it wasn't real...boy was I wrong," Spidey replied.

"Ha! I don't hear you say that very often," Scarlet laughed.

"That's because I'm almost always right," Spidey chuckled.

"Except when you're not," Scarlet said.

Spidey's eyes narrowed in annoyance.

"Regardless, I got a bad feeling about this," Agent Venom said.

"Jock's right, I don't like this either," Scarlet agreed.

"I agree with you guys, but we can't go jumping at every shadow we see," Spidey said.

"Never said that...but we gotta be careful...seen too much stuff of the cosmic and other lately...magic's just another ball game," Agent Venom sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Also, Strange revealed that this...knight order in the style of the Templars is hanging about, one found Strange when he wanted solitude to meditate," Spidey said.

"Think Fury knows something?" Agent Venom asked.

"It's Fury, of course he knows something," Scarlet answered.

"I have a feeling we'll found out soon enough...question is: under what circumstances" Spidey asked, letting that question hang.

-MK Dimension, Japan, Tokyo Imperial Palace, the next day-

Two women walk along the grounds, one wearing a white and light blue kimono and the other modern clothing. People walk by, some staring at the two women. The second women giggled. Around them stood a group of guards.

"(They're all staring at you)," she chuckled in Japanese.

"(Well let them, they don't get to see a mature beauty too often)," the first laughed.

The two women laughed at this.

"(Yuki, you really drive me crazy sometimes," the second said, a smile on her face.

"(Don't act like you don't like it, Hana. And they were staring at you, you're the princess,)" Yuki chuckled, returning the smile.

"(True, but sometimes one doesn't usually see the niece of the Crowned Family either,)" Hana replied.

The cousins laughed again. They continued their walk for a bit until they were approached by a Chinese monk. One of the guards halted him.

"(It's ok,)" Hanna said.

The guard nodded and let the monk pass.

"(My ladies,)" he greeted in Japanese, bowing.

The two women smiled and bowed back then all three stood up.

"(Do we know you?)" Hana asked.

"(No, your highness,)" the monk answered.

"(Oh...than why did you approach us...other than the obvious?)" Hana asked.

"(I'm afraid we shouldn't talk about this in public,)" the monk suggested.

Yuki took a step in front of her cousin protectively. The guards reached for their weapons.

"(Explain,)" she demanded.

"(I am no threat to either of you...but I come with news of a threat,)" the monk said, holding his hands up.

Yuki looked to Hana, who nodded. They moved to a more remote part of the grounds, the guards standing watch as the women talked privately with the monk.

"(What threat?)" Hana asked.

"(Well that's...that's hard to explain...)" The monk replied.

"(We can imagine more than you could believe,)" Yuki said.

"(That's why I'm here...my lord has sent me to seek your aid against an otherworldly threat,)" the monk replied.

The two women looked at each other and at him with surprise.

"(Ok, I wasn't expecting that,)" Yuki admitted.

"(Apologies, my ladies. This is a very real threat,)" the monk continued.

"(And how do you plan to stop this threat?)" Hana asked.

"(With the strength and skill of those determined to protect the world,)" the monk answered.

The two women looked at one another, considering his words.

"(You power and drive, Lady Yuki, is needed,)" the monk informed.

Yuki and Hana looked at one another with surprise.

"(H-How do you know-?)" Hana gasped.

"(My lord...he is more than a man, who is absolute in his resolve to protect the world and its people. He only seeks those he truly believes who are truly capable of being warriors and saviors,)" the monk explained.

Yuki and Hana shared a look with one another.

"(Go save the world, cousin,)" Hana said, a sad yet supportive smile on her face.

Yuki smiled and nodded. The two hugged one another before releasing each other.

"(So, how where to?)" Yuki asked.

The monk smiled. He closed his eyes and pressed his hands together.

"(My lord, she has agreed,)" the monk whispered in Chinese.

Suddenly a bolt of lightning appeared and light filled the area around them. When it was gone, so were the Yuki and the monk. But there was no scorch mark where the lightning had landed. Hana looked in shock. She was about to scream in fear for her cousin. But a calm wind blew and the sound of one might be say was whispering calmed the princess.

"(Good luck, cousin,)" Hana said.

From the lightning, Yuki and the monk appeared in a temple.

"(W-Where?...Where are we?)" Yuki gasped.

The monk turned and bowed.

"(Lord Raiden,)" the monk said.

Yuki turned to see a man emerge from the darkness, lightning crackling as it emerged and danced around his eyes. Yuki stood in awe and shock. Raiden bowed to the monk who then left the room. He then turned to the woman.

"(Yuki Onna, thank you for coming,)" Raiden said in Japanese, bowing to her.

Yuki could barely move. Raiden stood up. Two young Chinese men walked into the room.

"(There is much you need to know,)" Raiden added.
