Chapter 14
Third person POV
When everyone covered their eyes from the blinding light, it wasn't long till the three kings heard a voice call out to them to open our eyes, neither of them wanted to but felt like their bodies was doing it automatically like it was obeying a command from that voice within the light, who holds a higher power and authority over the three kings.
When the three kings open their eyes the light around them only seems to dimmer down, as it dimmers enough a female shape appears more visible, as the shape takes place the female being is dressed in a clock that covers her head and body, but looks to be ethereal as it gives off the appearance it has the night sky glistening on it, with stars that sparkle like they would in the sky.
The female being moves closer to the kings a slow pace to not appear threatening but enough to be in talking distance, when the female is close enough she stops while the three kings share the same expression in shock, confusion, but the eyes look to be of wonder.
"I'm not here to harm you but here in peace but with little time to waste" the female being speaks to the three kings. The three kings don't move from where they are stood but say absolutely nothing from worries that if they move or say something they be killed as the female being radiates powerful vibes that the three kings have never felt before in the time they have lived on the planet.
"You can speak I won't harm you as I've said and I'm here in peace" the female being says again hoping to get a response from the three kings, "if you not here to harm us then why are you hear and who and what are you" Aro says while still looking to be worried.
The female being lifts her hands towards her head and slowly removes the hood of her cloak of her head to show her face that looks human, with the cheeks to be rosy red like it has blood running in the body but the eyes gives off the effect that she is of something else entirely as they change colour every few seconds from blood red, to golden yellow, to brown that looks like chocolate colouring.
"A name I can't give you as it's not of this world but a name I can give you will show I am of this world" she tells them in a way that sounds like a riddle." What's that supposed to mean, less riddles and more talking we don't have time for this" Caius angrily shouts and then goes quiet when realizing who he is talking to. "I apologize I've never done this before so I usually talk in a riddle, my name is Isabella, but to save confusion you can just call me Bella" she told them.
All three kings all looked like they been slapped in the face, as the name that the female said was a name they knew but didn't expect to look like this when they was all certain she was still a baby at age of one and in a crib in her room. "Are you sure your name is Isabella as not to seem rude or offend you but the Isabella we know doesn't look like you as she is still a one year old and in her room in a crib asleep, so could you explain how you are Isabella, even if you say to call you Bella to save us confusion" Marcus said in calm tone but still confusion showed on his face as he spoke.
"You do deserve a explaination uncle, the how I'm not certain about myself, as I came to be when Isabella was in her mother, so I've always been there so I've just taken the same name as she did calling myself Isabella, but I know Im not the Isabella you know so I thought I shorten the name and call myself Bella instead, as like I previously said it saves you getting confused I hope anyway. As I was saying as I've been within Isabella I've been like what keeps her safe from harm or any mental intrusions, so you can say I'm like a form of her power or guardian that instead of watches over her above I live within her and able to do more to keep her safe as I'm not sure but I feel like she is ment for more like a higher destiny than I don't know about but feel like I should keep her safe until its time" Bella said
"There has been a few times where I've had to protect her such as with the one called Felix as he attempted to cause her harm or destroy her, which I know is somehow connected to your three's plan to capture him again and kill him for escaping you" Bella continued to say
"That is impossible, you can't be saying that our Isabella isn't human and that what we assumed was her protecting herself with a strong shield, was you that happened six months ago, which I'm guessing it was you behind the changing of her eyes that I saw in Felix memories too" Aro said with shock but also fascination of this information he was hearing.
"That is correct Aro" Bella said with a smirk, "she isn't human but something else, I'm just there to keep her safe till it's time for her to do her part of the destiny that I feel she is going to be in, as I'm not sure how I know this but near the beginning of when Isabella was being born and I was there inside Isabella too, I heard Isabella's mother talking to her and mentioned something that she was told by a old lady that could see into the future, to tell her of a great prophecy, which myself I still yet to work out what it means but hope you three can work it out" Bella said to them all. Bella then went into a state of trance as her eyes seemed to look like they rolled back of the head to appear like a crystal ball but with some white like clouds effect in them like a fortune teller's crystal ball would have.
"The eighteenth birth,Daughter of the night,She will walk again.The ancient long war,Night and shadow will fight.Light will save one,With the other's ending in destruction."
Bella then came out if the state of trance, with her eyes rolled back to the front where they was originally and not crystalized or cloudy, she appeared to lokm like she was waiting for a response from the three kings who seemes to just be standing looking stunned at what they saw. Marcus was the first to make a small cough like he was trying to appear to get his brothers attention, then he looked to Bella "I'm not sure as of yet as I will have to do some research in my library, to see if I have anything that could help as I have a very big collection that I've been collecting ever since before I was changed, but from what I can gather from what you have told us and with the prophecy, I can only guess that when it talks about the eighteenth birth it may be to do with when Isabella turns the age of eighteen, that humans say they are close to adult to be independent. As of the rest of the prophecy I'm still unsure as it just be more guessing until I have some proof to back it up with, hopefully I can get my brothers to aid me with the research and retrieve any books that may be located around the world without any of our enemies knowing this, as we can't let this so called ancient war to continue if we want peace to continue in this world" Marcus said to Bella with a honest sound of his tone of voice.
"Before I forget to mention, I advise you to not continue with your plan that you three spoke about earlier, as the one who helped Felix to escape is powerful and he has been in the castle for some time without your knowing '' Bella said in a flat monotone voice.
Caius started to look like he was gonna boil over with anger "how did you find that out about that, because you have mentioned you live within Isabella's body so please explain how you can hear something like that at such a distance, even when most of the conversation about the plans was down within the dungeons which even we struggle to hear anything from that far down, where it is located" he said shouted angrily.
Bella moved closer to Caius, with what appeared to be the biggest smirk on her face,not just that but it almost looked like it was coming from a cartoon character, "that's easy to answer, uncle I'm seemed to feel to be more powerful that any of you in this room so my hearing is exponentially more stronger, so I can hear anything at a much more and further than a vampire such as yourself, that's not the only thing i've been hearing within this castle, that I know you and your brothers have been talking about which some of you don't know or haven't told each other about" she told Caius rather confidently. " I can tell you all this as it's the most important one I've heard which is, I know for a fact that the same spy who helpwd Felix to escape is working with someone of equal or more powerful than myself from the little bit of power that was radiating from the spy and from felix quite recently,and if I heard correctly and if I got it right the name that they both seem to use sometimes when talking about it, but not to each other but to themselves is the name called Kur Othim" she continued but this time to all three of the kings.
"You don't have to be cocky about it to your uncle even if he did deserve to be knocked down a few pegs, but going back to what you said from what you know of your birth mother did she say anything about Kur Othim or is it the first you have heard of it?" Marcus questioned as the name wasn't one that any of the three kings had heard but from how Marcus asked Bella he was curious as he likes a good challenge, but to increase his already vaste knowledge that he picks up from the books he reads and other vampires he meets.
Bella then turned towards Marcus and shrugged her shoulders, "I've never heard of the name till a few months ago from the spy who I know is called Afton from what Felix said before they escaped together" Marcus seemed to look to be lost in deep thought from what Bella told him, both Aro and Caius who was listening, began to look at each other with a knowing look like they knew that Bella knew what they knew but didn't speak futher about it, which baffled them.
Bella started to look around the room at the others who was in the brightest part of the light she produced when she entered in the room earlier and she seem to be looking at two vampires in particular who looked alike it made her think as to why they felt different to the rest of other vampires who were stationed in the room. As these two vampires looked to be radiating a purple energy waves, which is very powerful compared to the other vampires radiating a grey energy waves, which the average vampire like the rest of them seem to radiate
"Uncles and Aro who are these two here again as if I'm correct then these two are very powerful compared to everyone else here as they are radiating a different and more powerful colour of energy wave which is purple compared to the usual grey colour that everyone else here has" Bella asks them as she points to the twins.
"They are the famous Witch Twins called Jane and Alec, I'm surprised you forgot who they was, with how much you seem to know about everything else in this castle compared to us, is it the waves you say you see, which caused you to question who they was or did you just forget" Caius barked while looking like he was gonna burst a gut with him containing his laughter, Bella just nodded but just continued to stare at the twins.
"These two may have more power in them that they are storing within themselves or they don't realize they are storing it inside themselves, because if they let it out it will cause them to break out their shells to become something powerful known as witch hybrids, I think they will be the first of their kind too but this is just what I'm assuming from these purple waves I'm witnessing" Bella announced to the three kings while still looking at the twins.
"Wait when you say powerful witch hybrids are you saying they may be more powerful than us, and when you say shell is that their vampric she'll or their human looking skin?" Aro asked looking to be curious and looking to be wondering about how he didn't see this.
She just turned to look at the kings, "I'm not sure about which of the shells it will be but yes they be more powerful than you all, anyway I've got to go now as Isabella is gonna awaken soon and I've got to stay and insure her safety, but you may see me again or I'll be talking through my Isabella's body when she is able to talk, until then I hope you figure out the prophecy before it's too late" Isabella said sounding sad like she didn't want to say.
The three kings looked at her "well we like to thank you for what you have told us, we won't be going through with our previous plan but will be on higher guard in future and make sure that you stay safe till you reach your eighteenth birthday and we will do more research to find out more of this prophecy you told us" Aro her looking to be sad to see her go.
Isabella began to blend into the light and vanished, the three kings covered their eyes as the light in the room began to get too bright for them to keep their eyes open again, then room got brighter and brighter and then disappeared, only leaving golden flecks of light falling to the ground.
The three kings began to opened their eyes, they looked around the room and they noticed that it was back to normal, they looked at each other and nodded "everyone open your eyes the light has gone and we have much to discuss" the three kings announced together. As everyone opened their eyes to stare at their kings all mirroring the same facial expression showing confusion and wondering what more the kings are gonna discuss.
Felix POV
All this walking I've been doing with Afton at a human pace is tiring even for a vampire like myself but looking back at Afton every so often while walking he doesn't seem fazed by the pace but at ease like he does it so often its normal for him, I always worry about talking to him or asking him any more questions as I don't want to anger him even if our master said he can't kill me, as knowing Afton he would just remove a few of my upper limbs that I can survive without while still walking if I angered him enough, so I just keep quiet and just look forward to when I see the next one to take over from him, which I'll be looking forward to.
After a hour later, I start to see the end of the tunnel but it looks like it's now night out unlike before where it was day, I decided to take a quick peak at Afton to see what's next or if he say anything but he just stands there a few metres away from me even though I just want to get out of this tunnel and get to where Kur is and hopefully with some answers to my list of questions that I've been collecting while walking on this long tiresome journey with grumpy pants.
"There has been a change if plans unfortunately I can't go back to the Volterra to finish my assignment, instead I've got to be stuck with you awhile longer to take you the rest of the way to where our master is awaiting our arrival" Afton grumbled, "I do hope this idiot is worth this" he mutters under his voice.
He continued to keep walking, even knowing well that Mr Grumpy Pants hates his guts, he knew himself that if he had a choice after knowing this how Afton is really like he would have asked for someone else or something else to take him to where they are heading, as it would have felt much better, instead of having someone like Afton who dispises him, and loving the chance to rip him limb from limb to guide him
The minutes turned to hours and hours turned into feel even longer, where time itself felt like toture on this massive journey where they walked so slow pace for him that he wished he had better company like his old pal demetri who at least wasn't a bore and made long journeys fun, but he knows that he can't have demetri with him as he was with the volturi kings who locked him in a cage because he did what he has always done and killed humans, he just hoped this journey would end soon.
Afton turned around to face him but with no emotion showing on his face at all, "we have just a few more miles to go now, so when we arrive we can have someone sort out your thirst" then Afton's face changed with a small grin began to appear which made he scared as it was creepy image, he wished that Afton would just go back to being emotionless, "but if your too weak to hold on that long you could go for some animals that might be around" Afton began to laugh knowing that the taste of animal blood tasted revoluting to him and wouldn't satisfy him for long either.
He didn't like that Afton was making that joke as it wasn't funny to him and Afton's laugh was worse than his grin as it just sounded wrong, "that isn't funny, I am stronger enough to hold on longer and I will prove it, your just jealous that master likes me more than you to need me" he told Afton, even though he knew it wasn't true about their master needing him more but he knew it brothered afton enough to get him back frommthat cruel joke.
"No more joking now, the quciker we get where were going the better, so let's move" Afton said swiftly and then turned round as swiftly as he spoke the last word, and then continued to walk ahead, while not caring how far behind that he was as well as continue to ignore his presence.
Like he guessed those miles felt loads longer but was great when they was futher enough away to quicken the pace that felt like a weight was taken off as he was able to run at vampric speed so they could make it over mountains and ravines as they was in a snow and ice environment that seemed like it was where he remembers the Romanians to be located, but it seemed to be just empty and flat after passing the rocky mountains and steep ravines.
He did wonder after passing those mountains and ravines why they couldn't go round them instead of running up and over and jumping the ravines, he wasn't sure if it was because that's how Afton wanted to do it that way or if there was a reason behind it but he didn't want to push his luck and kept quiet.
After what he assumed must have been several hours since they passed the mountains and ravines Afton just stopped staring ahead like he was waiting for someone or something to appear in front of him, he then turned around to face me, "we are here" he said with what looked like relief, "what do you mean we are here, there is nothing here but snow, ice and more snow like there has been for several miles now" he said feeling fed up and getting frustrated.
Afton just turned back round and pointed ahead of them, as if just like magic, a massive,tall, black and spooky looking castle was revealed, and standing just a few meters from where Afton pointed. He looked at the castle, but couldn't believe what he saw in front of him, he felt like ranting it to anyone who heard him how he couldn't believe that something that wasn't there a few moments ago, just appears out of thin air and that Afton just doesn't show shocked but like it's normal for him to see, almost like it's an everyday thing that just happens.
The doors of the castle opened with a loud creeking, the sound made his ears feel like they was gonna split open, then it wasn't long till something or someone walked through them, but he couldn't make out who it was, as they was covered in darkness and shadows that hide their appearance, not just that but Afton's arm pulling him round to face him "show your respect and get on your bloody knees now" Afton whispered in a low whispered voice.
He turned back round, as well as doing what Afton told him as he assumed whoever this thing is, it is important to show respect, so as he got down on one knee and bowed his head down to show his respect, he heard a voice "you both made it, and in one piece too." the voice sounded like it was surprised, but gave a light chuckle afterwards. The chuckle made him cringe as it sounded fake but he let it pass as he didn't wanted to mention it without the risk of offending who was speaking, or for Afton to hate him more.
He recognized the voice to be of his master, but didn't move from where he was and waited to be given permission to move as he wanted to show respect to his master, so it would show he can be trusted still. "You both may rise, we have so much to discuss, and so much time so come in" as he rose from his feet to hopefully get a clear look at his master, he saw that there wasn't anyone standing in front of him now, like as soon as his master spoke he either moved too quick to be heard or seen or something he couldn't explain.
While he was standing outside still in the snow atmosphere, he got off his knees, he looked to his side where he knew Afton was bowing earlier like he was previously, when he looked to his side he noticed that Afton had also disappeared from where he was, he assumed that Afton must have gone inside, either to talk to the master to find out more about why the plans changed and whether he would be able to return to his assignment that he left and what happened to Chelsea, or just to avoid being in his presence any longer as they spent a huge amount of time as it was and he knew how much Afton despised him.
He shrugged his shoulders and moved to walk to the doors that appeared to be quite large when standing up close to them, he placed his hands on the doors to see if they was ordinary doors or something else, as when the castle itself appeared out of thin air just made him wonder if the castle itself was the same. While his hands was on the door he felt it give off a weird sensation like they was alive somehow, the sensation from the door changes to an almost stabbing sensation, he took his hands off the door, then looked at the palm of his hands and saw two holes in the palms on both hands like a vampire bite.
He put his hands down on the railing that was near the door to hold himself up as he felt a bit dizzy from that odd vampire bite he got from the door, he tapped his head a few times to try and get it into himself that he shouldn't feel dizzy from touching a door that bit him, and then decided to walk through the open doors, with the thought in his head "how did I get those bite marks on his palms and is the whole castle itself alive or something else." He knew when he finds his master in this castle he hopes he can get the answers to his questions and maybe about the castle itself too as it weirded him out with the possibility of it being alive.
