So here is chapter 24 at long last is finally here, I hope it's been worth the wait.

Cathy29jes - yes you're correct he didn't come too soon, yes his grudge is quite deep as he has held onto that grudge mainly towards Aro for all that time where it has burned deeper and deeper, which could cause issues later on if he doesn't try to fix that. Very true a clan leader should always be happy or at least respect that if one of their own is joining a more powerful coven by choice then it's what's best for them, which in turn could benefit them in the long run as it has done so for Demetri.
Yes the long awaited arrival of the great Jasper is here, where I'll be glad to say he gets to meet the one to spend all of eternity with.
Jeoliverio - I'm sorry to have disappointed you for not getting them introduced in the last chapter but I hope this chapter will make it worth it for you to wait that extra chapter. Thank you I always try to make every chapter the best it can be. Well that is something that gets explained in this chapter, so hopefully it will answer whether Demetri knew or not.

Chapter 24
Major/ Jasper POV
It makes me wonder how my life brought me to this moment, as if someone told me that all that I've done in the name of my mistress or that I be waiting outside of royalty doors just not the human kind, I would have thought they was making it all up like a joke that I would never understood, but actually living this life or second life as most of our kind that I've seen calls it I don't think I would change any of the decisions I made despite how bloody or how many innocents I have killed to survive as without that I wouldn't be here.
With all the waiting, most would think I be bored or something, but I find being one who talks when necessary and observe my surroundings is better use to as being with the mistress and fighting in her wars I have learnt that watching and observing my opponents I can work out the best plans and solutions to take them down despite whatever advantage they may have, that may think they will come out the winner, which is why I have lasted pass my newborn year and made one of her's most trust worthy, to make important and tough decisions that benefits the army to win every single battle that we have won, and all that time I have gained a second name as the God of War as my fighting skills is unmatched even when I have my private sparing with Peter and mistress Maria who struggle to beat me in single hand combat.
I stand here standing guard over the mistress I let out my gift to feel all those around myself, sensing many emotions, some that feel positive in nature and some negative which is more of the latter I sense close by from multiple individuals, who are within this large stone building that Demetri called the Volturi castle which stands in the center of Volterra in Italy, which the information didn't seem that of interest except the information he told me more that his mate, and my mistress about his coven and their gifts that they possess as that is information that I found the most interesting and valuable, in the certainty it comes to a fight.
As I broaden my gift to reach further as practice and time I have learnt to not just control it but how to use it to it's full capacity, so I could manipulate emotions and feelings of not just single individuals but multiple individuals at once, I have also able to control the distance I can reach with it yet not knowing how much in measurement as never had the workings out of it to care. As I reach further I sense a three powerful bursts of emotional waves coming from these three individuals, which was very different to the others in this area, but one of those individuals seemed to sing to me completely different to anything I have come across, almost like it was calling to me which I knew if I tried to explain it, it wouldn't make any sense so I knew I had a decision to make about what to do about it.
"Mistress I will feel more comfortable if it's fine with you to do a quick parameter check to ensure it's safe for us both until your mate arrives, not that we can defend ourselves, as I know we both are well trained to fight anyone who attempts to end us" I asked for permission as I was so used to doing when I wanted to do something without being told to do something, "relax Major, your right I can defend myself very well better than most, it's unlikely anyone will try as Demetri did say no one knows that its us that are arriving here, so we should be in the clear, but besides that just do what you think is necessary" Maria said thoughtfully, "just make it snappy" Maria added with a grin, which I knew she was trying not to show to be too kind as she liked to keep me on edge, but with my gift I knew otherwise.
As I ran around the castle picking up the emotions that I felt before changing again, but not knowing what caused it as even with my heightened senses it seemed that the castle must have some safeguards that prevents anyone from eavesdropping on what happens inside which I wasn't sure wheather I should be impressed or annoyed as it prevents me from finding out what is been said inside to see what's keeping Demetri long or anything else that may concern myself or mistress Maria, but as I continue to turn round the back I feel those powerful bursts of emotional waves again but as I'm closer to it even more intensity that when I was further away, as I get as close as I can without making my presence known I see two small vampires wearing black cloaks, one with brown hair and the other short blond hair that at first glance would assume to be male like the other, but yet feels to be female despite the small statue and short hair.
As I look closer I see that the small female is holding what looks to be a small child that has its head turned away as it had its head tucked in the nook of the female's arms, from what I could smell the small child seemed to be human yet something else smelled different that I couldn't describe but only made me want to get closer and ignore all the thoughts telling me not to with the danger of the twins that was with her.
A fight inside my mind battling with either get closer to the small child or returning back to my mistress to inform her of my so called parameter check continues while I stand still just out of sight of the twins who's attention is occupied with the child. As I watched the three of them talking and playing on the grass with all the beautiful flowers surrounding them I saw the female who I think Demetri said was called Jane lift her head up, "Jasper or Major whichever you answer to you may as well come out of the shadows round that corner, we already know you are there as we be told you won't harm any of us but we rather you come out so we can see you face to face than making it seem we are talking to thin air" Jane called out playfully, which definitely didn't sit right with me from what I heard about her, I just stayed where I was not trusting that she is who she is as if she acted different to how I was told about her then I can't trust she won't try to harm me despite how good I am.
"Brother would you mind" Jane asked her brother which he just responded with a small nod, and seemed to sink into the ground without a sound, making me weary of where he disappeared to as this was all new to me as I was told her twin brother could call out a mist from his hands to disarm the senses but actually disappearing into the ground was completely new, definitely something I would have to speak to Demetri and the mistress about, if I make that far, despite how well matched I am in combat.
As I kept my wits about myself and used my gift to see if I could use it to sense where he will appear or is going to appear, it's good thing that I have quicker than most with my reflexes, as I hum numbers in my head "one, two, three", "one two, three", I turn to my left at such a speed it would have broken through the sound barrier, I throw my hands up and catch the one named Alec's throat, but without giving even a single micro second I throw him down to the floor causing a shake to the ground with the ferocity, that I could see the shock on his face not expecting me to be that quick, yet I as I relax again I stop.
I hear clapping behind me and someone who I can only assume be Jane with the child walking towards me, "she said you was good but I didn't expect you to be that good even with what we heard about you from the rumors and observations that's been taking place, not just that you did that all without the knowledge of our new abilities that even our own coven isn't aware of, so you can call us both impressed with that" Jane said with a pleased look on her face, as I help Alec up to his feet, he brushes off all the dirt and dust that was on his cloak, "I agree sister, I didn't expect a normal vampire to have reflexes that quick even with the additional bonuses that being one gives over a normal human being, so I think she was correct with what she told us about him as you said" Alec said while walking over to his twin and the child, even though I still couldn't get a good look at the child to see if it was human or not as its usual for a vampire to be near a human without given in to their thirst or seeing them as something to eat.
"Was this a test or something and if so why?, Another thing you keep saying she told you, who is this she your referring to?, Also how did you know I was here as no one was supposed to know I'm here yet I just came to do a parameter check when I enter a new territory or unknown area" I asked clearly very confused about how they knew so much and I knew so little which I wasn't used to.
They both just looked at me like it was completely obvious to the questions I asked, they both just laughed and gestured for me to come closer, as I stepped closer and closer, the child shuffled in Jane's arms, until I saw that beautiful face, but not just any beautiful face, it was many things I could see as I look at the brown eyes that reminded me of the smoothest of chocolate, which matched her short silky brown hair of the same description, yet the more I looked the harder it was to want to move anywhere but closer, as the feelings I felt intensified like the need to protect and love her, yet I felt a growl escape from myself seeing her in the arms of one of the witch twins, yet that just made them both laugh harder.
"What your feeling is normal when you find a mate it's just that what you have now is just the normal kind as you can see she is too young to do or feel what is normal for a adult or teenage bond that happens when it's comes to the mating bond as you probably have gathered already" Alec explained with a smile, "the growl that you felt towards my twin is normal but remember we are the exception compared to everyone else as we share an unusual bond of our own that we will explain to you in time as we are yet to fully understand it ourselves as the new gifts and additional things that has happened to us that connects us to your mate is way out of this world that is to be kept between us and no one else till we fully know what it is ourselves as you can see from the cracks on our perfect skin that everyone else but ourselves are able to see" Alec finished saying with a frown.
"Would you like to hold your mate, but don't worry you can't harm her despite her human appearance or slight human odour that she gives off, so you should be able to hold her without the feelings you feel with a normal human being, but we will be here just in case anything happens or if you feel you would like to wait till later and see your boss Maria" Jane clarified to me, which the last part shocked me how she knew about my mistress but thought better of it as it was just like how she knew I was here without making myself known before. " No we haven't harmed her if that is what your thinking, no we won't spoil the surprise to our masters even if we are becoming stronger than them and will continue to be" Jane mentioned again with a smirk, but before I even got chance to speak or move, " so are you coming to hold her or would you rather ask permission from your mistress" Alec laughed sarcastically, which I could tell he was poking fun at me to see if it would set me off or not but I remained calm and walked towards them closer.
As I opened my arms to hold my mate, I was expecting her to fragile or to fall apart once she got in my arms but as she cuddled into my arms looking to be even more at ease than she was with Jane, it made me feel like I was now finally complete, not broken or something that is wrong anymore, not just that but I don't want to be away from her now that I have found my other half, I feel two pairs of eyes watching me, "you feel it now even more than you did before, didn't you?" Alec asked, which I could feel his curiosity, but also his certainty that he already knew my answer, I nodded not wanting to take my eyes away from her, "her name is Isabella, she is very special and important to our coven, she does have gifts, not a single gift like most of your kind but many, we not sure how many or what they are but trust me you won't be disappointed when you see them first hand" Jane said gently which I could feel was genuine but for me it still felt weird hearing it said that way from what I've heard about them, almost like they only their true selves around eachother.
"You better go back before your boss wonders where you disappeared or if Demetri and master Marcus returns to see your not there either" Alec said, while holding his arms out for me to pass Isabella over, with some resistance I pass her back to them but not forgetting the feeling as I know I want to hold on to it for as long as I can till I can have her back in my arms again.
As I turn back and walk the way I came I take a quick look back at them with my little mate, staring longer than intended and then I ran quickly to see my mistress waiting with a evil glare at me, which made me feel her anger directed at me, I knew I could manipulate it to calm her but decided against it, as I had a feeling she would calm down eventually once I explained my reasoning.
"So what took you I could have been killed or worse, you was agreed to be here as a bodyguard for me and nothing else and a parameter check shouldn't have taken that long" Maria ranted, then stopped and sniffed, which I knew meant she could smell either the scent of my mate Isabella or one of the twins, either way I couldn't be sure what she was gonna say next as she still felt explosive anger towards me or that she is still waiting on her own mate.
Her explosive anger, started to simmer yet not fully calm, but enough to where she looked to be thinking, "wait a minute is what happened to you, have something to do with what Captain Whitlock mentioned before we left, because if so that must be good yet I'm annoyed that you still left me alone that long, as in still waiting for my own to come back, which I'm not sure what's keeping him either as he said it should be a quick in and out" Maria said thoughtfully yet with some anger hidden behind her words when she spoke.
There could be a numerous of reasons why she was still angry the two biggest ones that come to mind is the smell she smelt from.me, the other is Demetri is still not came back, but I didn't know what could be said that wouldn't change any of those two unless she felt angry for something else, "I'm not sure if it's what I think it is that's made you still angry or not but it doesn't change anything, it just makes things a little more difficult to how we go about anything now, but if it's Demetri that's being the cause then the only thing I can say is we could be sneaky and go in against his decision if that would ease your anger now" I explained being very careful to how I spoke to her as she was still higher rank than I was if we was talking like we would be if we was in the military, not just that but I don't like saying anything when she is this angry. It doesn't mean I'm afraid of her because I'm not but it's definitely not the best time to find that I like to be around her either.
"So should we go and see where your mate is and what's taking him as I know the twins won't mind us doing this" I smirk, as just meeting them in person, alongside my gift I knew that doing what I asked mistress they wouldn't care but probably enjoy the performance as they would call it, "yeah I plan to rip my mate a new one for keeping me waiting and I don't care what pathetic excuse he comes up with to tell me otherwise, as he should know I don't like waiting, even for him" Maria added with a wicked smile that I knew meant trouble will follow.
As jumped we looked about to see anyone watching, seeing no one paying us any attention, we made a huge leap into the air to get up high to one of the tower's ledges to get in hopefully undetected, using my gift to sense anyone nearby, but hearing no movement or my gift couldn't feel anyone coming closer I gave my mistress a nod to continue as she was higher up than I was as I stopped to not just see what I could sense but to get a good look at the view as others would call it.
As we got on top of the tower part of the castle, there seemed to be no guards stationed here which just didn't sit right with me as if we made it to the so called kings of this castle then I'm definitely gonna be having words with them as if they are to stop anyone getting in then, they are doing a pathetic job of it if we could get in so easily so far. "This is too easy and your mate said they have this heavily guarded after what happened to his old coven mate called Felix if that was the correct name, it's annoying to keep track of so many names for each member of their coven" I whispered to her as we continue to make our way inside the castle silently as possible.
Demetri POV
As master Marcus followed me to another room that was far away from the celebration with guests and coven mates in shocked or surprised reactions, we went into a unoccupied room that I don't think is owned by anyone so it was just a empty room with nothing in it apart from stone walls and a closed window, not even lighting but thankfully we didn't need lighting to see with our perfect vision and able to see in the night just as well as the day.
"So I'm assuming this has to do with your mate, god of war, don't be surprised as my brothers may be idiots, not figured it out but you forget my gift to see bonds, meant I could see it from the beginning and all since then that followed, so before you left to go on your mission I saw that it was strained beyond what was possible so I knew there was some hatred towards her, but her army was just a nuisance excuse for your frustrations towards her and yourself that you will never voice outloud or admit to yourself" Marcus explained with annoyance, although being very thorough, without missing a single second or letting me voice opinion or to say anything against what he said, despite it being all true.
"I'm assuming from your silence that I was correct with my explanation of what you requested of me" Marcus pointed out sternly, "I…yes you are correct" I spurted out with a feeling of unease as I hated it when he was right definitely as he was one of the three I actually trusted more, but knew whenever we speak it was hard to keep certain subjects to myself definitely if it was related to my bonds with certain individuals, but I wouldn't be where I am if it wasn't for him either. So as much as I hated him being correct with his correct assumption, it still pained me to admit he was right, as what he assumed was all true, I did go on this side mission originally to not just wipe out the newborn army that Maria created but to wipe her out to just because I couldn't accept that she refused my offer to join me with the Volturi so long ago because, back then being mated was so new and rare that not all of us knew what it was or how strong it was, but not just that she refused to accept and acknowledge that we was mated then as she saw it as a weakness but that also could be that she was still with her two sisters at the time we met. After coming away from that being refused to accept the mate bond or join me I started to grow hatred towards them for it but, as I saw her eyes again it seemed to just disappear, like it wasn't even there and be just love and affection towards her again and it pleased me to see that she was starting to feel the same which brought us to here.
"You know that your bond with her is strong but still has quite some time before it he strengthened to the point where it's unbreakable like mate bonds should be, not just that I will be keeping a close eye on you both to ensure no other problems as I'm surprised that either of you are still mated with the whole distance and strained your bond was so something must have been happening to keep it intact, and that is something I'm gonna investigate to find out" Marcus examined with a look to be pondering his own thoughts on the matter, "what do you mean that the bond should have fallen apart or something?" I asked rashly not liking that the bond should have been destroyed overtime as if I knew that I would have tried harder or something. I just knew it.
"No stop worrying" Marcus put his hand on me to get my attention before he started to speak again, " It's not like that it's just that most bonds work the same but then there are the rare type of bonds that even I'm not fully aware of that are new with different possibilities for why they are as they are, so your bond with Maria if I got the right name, you both might have one of those rare bonds or not only that I will have to find out to tell you the truth but I could be wrong as I have been wrong before when I first became a vampire with this amazing gift of mine" Marcus spoke looking to be very proud to be talking about his gift and what he knows of it.
"I would stop worrying if I didn't have to be weary about my mate definitely as she is currently waiting outside for us to finish so I can invite her to the celebration with additional guest that I promised" I said wearily, as I waited to see if master Marcus would respond or not, he looked to be in shock which is definitely not normal for our kind, "erm master you okay, you look like something has taken you by surprise and put you into shock" I ask while shaking master Marcus's shoulders to get his attention. Then as if nothing happened he just stared at me with a look that told me to step away, "what are you doing shaking me?" Marcus demanded.
"Well you look like you went into shock or something like humans do for some odd reason that I can't understand" I explained hoping that he understands, Marcus just looked disappointed, then looked confused, then his face finally settled on a look of wonder and curiousity if that made any sense, "actually it's not that I went into shock but something did take me by surprise as not just that I felt a new bond but three bonds that are new and it has something to do with your new guest that you brought with you and your mate" Marcus examined with a voice of like it was a astounding discovery that he was very intrigued with yet I knew it meant he he distracted on that instead of continuing our conversation.
"So are we gonna discuss your new discovery with my new guest or continue our conversation as I was gonna ask about if they be safe to come in and everything as Im certain that my guest be safe but my mate Maria is what I'm more concerned about, safety wise" I asked, seemingly to a brick wall as Marcus had a look to be somewhere else entirely like he was having a indepth look at the bonds within his own mind which I've heard he can do when he wants a better view of the bonds, as I've heard several of the guards in the past discuss about it.
As I stood waiting for a response for several minutes, I decided to quickly check if anyone was outside the room, if anything just to have something to do while I wait for master Marcus to finish what he was doing, oddly enough there was no one about but I could hear several raised voices two of them coming from outside the castle which I could only gather could be my mate and the Major, and on the other side of the castle seemed to be raised voices from the throne room still, which means whatever was happening in there before I arrived has either started again or something else, but neither of them seemed to be something I wanted to involve myself in, so I went back in the room with master Marcus.
As I still waited for something to come from my masters bond investigation as I call it I looked out the window to see it is still night time which meant not much time has passed since my arrival here, "ah sorry for the wait, it seems that the new bonds I detected from our new guest, has been quite the interest as his bond with our Isabella is definitely a mating bond of sorts, yet it has some inconsistencies that makes it a completely new kind which is very difficult to describe, yet still fascinating as being that I I thought originally a long time ago that I knew everything there was about my gift, now with these new or unusual types is giving me something new and some enthusiasm that I haven't felt in a long time" Marcus explained giddily, "sorry I'm getting ahead of myself again, as I was saying your guest has mated with Isabella just not in the way we do due to the age difference, but also bonded with the twins in a new bond that I haven't yet identified as it doesn't look like any bond I have seen before but I will get back to you if I can figure out what it is" Marcus explained with a look of being baffled yet still looking to be happy with something new.
"That is all interesting and all but can you at all help me with keeping my mate safe if I bring her in this castle with everyone who's in there" I said feeling slightly irritated with a tapping of my foot to indicate my irritation, while also pointing outside the door, "ah yes I do believe that is what we was originally talking about before we, I mean myself got distracted with talking about" Marcus apologised, "as with your mate I can do what I can for her safety by declaration of your mate bond and that should provide some safety to ease your worried mind, but if not I'm certain that there be others who would be fine with you, and aid in protecting your mate if that is something to remember" Marcus declared with a small smile, hearing that did feel me with some ease now I just had to tell Maria and Major about it.
As I turned round to head out the door leaving master Marcus who was in the room, I thought I head movement coming from somewhere upward, as I walked towards castles doors entrance where Maria and Major should still be waiting I heard a sound from behind me which I turned quickly to see nothing, so I turned back and continue to walk to the door. As I opened the door I felt someone tap my back, which I knew I could do two things either grab that person or turn round to see who it was, I picked the later as something felt different about the one who tapped me, something comfortable, as I turned round I saw Maria, which brought a smile to my face, " don't say a word* she said putting a hand to my face which I wasn't certain if I should be offended with a hand on my face or to laugh because of it.
"First thing I wanna ask and don't speak till I got all this out" Maria said with a devilish look, "what the bleeding hell took you so long if I knew you was gonna be this long I would have brought a snack to keep me occupied, not just that but did you know about Major's bond that he told me about after he did what he told me was a parameter check" my face changed to that of annoyance at finding out that he left my mate unprotected, "don't give me that look, you left me with him remember so the blame should be on you not him even if it still bothers me that he bonded with someone else, which means I could lose him to someone else, he told me it was a child is that even possible for that kind of bond to happen?"Maria ranted never without holding seething venom as she spoke, which surprised me as I would have thought she lose that tone and speak to me more lovingly but I guess what master Marcus said is true that we don't share a normal mating bond which would explain why she still speaks to me like she would to someone else.
"Well I don't know how to explain why it took so long or about Major's bond with the child who is called Isabella, for your information, but I can say that all be fine once you join the celebration and everything can be explained more later on if you can wait as we are already late as it is" I explained, as I would explain it later as promised but I really did want to join the celebration and see my maker and everyone else, "he is right mistress, I can feel the anxiety and many other feelings that everyone in that room is feeling, even if I feel partially incline to see more of my mate and see those twins who I told you about while sneaking in here" Major said calmly, while what seemed that he was giving off a calming wave that made me feel more at ease too, washing away my concerns and worries.
"Fine let's go, but if anyone tries anything I will put them in their place no matter how high they think they rank over me, including the kings of our species" Maria said, throwing her hands in the air showing she was annoyed and just wanted to get this over with. Myself and the Major just smiled, with a small chuckle, and walked towards the throne room which I was ahead of as I knew where to go.
Aro POV
Thirty minutes ago
After taking several moments to relax away from it all in the gardens I decided to go back in, knowing that I would be needed to firstly apologize for my behavior despite what my brothers could be saying to them, before I decided to go in I saw the twins holding little Isabella in Jane's arms, "we heard the commotion and saw fit to see what it was all about before you headed in, as we know fully well that you are not the one to sulk in the gardens for long definitely as we are the ones to stay hidden until we can make our grand appearance" Jane said slyly, I felt no need or want to correct her tone or speaking to me like that, so I just shrugged my shoulders, "well if you not gonna tell us what happened then we are not gonna wait here for you to tell us, but you might as well go back in to fix whatever you did as just looking at you I can tell you feel like it's your mess to clean up not anyone else's" Alec said sounding very straightforward which took me back with how he spoke but like with his twin I felt like I didn't gonna say anything to tell him to stop either.
"I was just gonna head in anyway, I will let you both know when it's time unless something happens that requires yourselves assistance, I'm also not gonna ask why either of you are out here and not in the room you both was occupied in" I said with little care in my voice as I felt like giving up with everything that's happened, the only thing I won't give up on is keeping my promise to protect Isabella. "Well go on then time is ticking" Jane said making a tick, tok sound, which made me smile at that and I then walked back inside.
Throne room
As I got back to the throne room where everyone was in for the supposed celebration we was gonna have, as it felt more like a disaster than anything else which was my doing, which I knew fully well it was, I opened the doors with as much voice as I could as I knew it get everyone's attention fast, without giving time for anyone, including Caius to speak, "everyone I would like to apologize for everything that's happened and all that I caused in the past, I'm hoping that in time fences can be mended and some trust can begin to form in time" I announced in my loudest but clearest tone I could muster, as I finish my announcement I waited for a single response,
As I still got no response, all I did see was that everyone began chatting to themselves about god knows what, but from bit and pieces that I could overhear my name did appear in sentences, I wasn't sure whether I should take that as a good thing or bad, so I went towards my brother Caius to see what he told them and if he was gonna say anything to my announcement. "So did I do anything wrong or is it something else I said, as everyone talking among themselves and not responding back to me has gotten me confused" I queried, "well actually you didn't do anything wrong with your announcement of sorts it's just after what happened when you left is the reason, as Demetri is back with his two guests, Marcus knows something about them which has left us in the dark about it all, which is also why you don't see him here now" Caius explained disappointedly," as with your announcement it just doubled up what I've been talking to them about trying to get them all to understand that with Isabella who they all are yet to still meet due to distractions that we knew would be happening, they are just trying to work out what to do with all that and where their loyalties lie now as trust was already broken with certain individuals but with us trying to change and be better, it's gonna give them time to see us for what we trying to be than what we was when we either destroyed their old covens or taken their coven mates to be part of our own to become guards and a force to not want to go up against" Caius said without taking a moment to stop, which I felt he needed to point out to me just in the time that I think something else entirely.
"That's a fair point, so how many of them from what you can gather will need the more space for them to trust us again and who needs us to be more hands on, so we can try and fix or talk to them to find out what we can do better" I asked,
"Actually it's mainly the nomads and Amun, who requested space, despite me thinking they already had way more space from us anyway, but I have asked them in particular to at least visit once in a while to see how things have been and so they can still spend time with parts of our coven, as we did promise our coven that they could see and interact more with old friends and coven mates, which they all agreed on with a bit of muttering approval from Amun, which his mate pushed him to agree to" Caius answered with a small chuckle at the last bit as he always found it funny when Amun was forced to agree to something for his mate even if he absolutely loathed the idea of it.
Changing the subject I was curious about what he could tell me about Demetri and Marcus, "so what about our brother and Demetri? I asked, Caius face changed to that of uncertainty, "now that I can't tell you much about as not long after you left, no more than probably about a minute or two at most, Demetri arrived" Caius said, while muttering " with a sarcastic response interrupting", " then asked for our brother's assistance which I can only imagine it has something to do with his little side mission and two mystery guests that our brother must he aware of, as he seemed pleased to go with him, to leave me dealing with everyone else which I will say wasn't a easy task I might add" Caius said, "besides that nothing else" I asked curiously, which my brother just nodded his head to tell me there easnt anything else.
"Do you reckon we should get the twins and Isabella out or wait for our brother and Demetri with the two guests?" I asked, as soon as I asked I didn't get chance to hear a response as the doors opened, with Demetri, and his guests, who I recognized them both immediately but with different reactions to them both, turning my head to Caius and it seems I wasn't the only one feeling this way
"Demetri despite how pleased we are to see you are back safe and sound, as I didn't see you earlier unlike everyone else, who told you to bring them, while I'm pleased to see the mighty God of War joining us, the other I'm not so happy to see" I said disappointedly, while also hearing a growl escape Demetri's mouth, which shocked me definitely with how he seemed in the past to want to destroy her as much as the rest of us for creating her newborn army, taking part in the newborn wars over territory which is just stupid reasoning. "Don't you growl at your master, Demetri we may have done quite a few bad things in the past and recently, but it doesn't give you the right to growl at us as we are for all suits and purposes still your kings and masters, so show some respect, before I come over there and pull all body parts apart piece by piece" Caius roared, which I was glad to have him on side, but as he spoke we heard a second and third growl escape Demetri's guests mouths.
Demetri seemed to turn to his guests and spoke very quietly and quickly that I barely heard it myself, "just let me explain to them, don't worry no one will he harmed if they listen" Demetri said to them in a barely whispering tone, "so we are waiting" Caius spoke again looking to barely contain his anger, while everyone else just watched what was happening in complete silence.
"Well this is where it's gonna be difficult for you all to hear including everyone else that has arrived her who isn't part of the coven" Demetri explained, then went into all the details about what happened on his mission and side mission, but also everything else that connected to it which surprised me how I never seen this before when I've used my gift in the past, making me wonder if my gift is failing me.
After the explanation Demetri gave finished, I looked around the room and could tell that Demetri was gonna be answering loads of questions that everyone including myself had, one that he most likely won't want to answer due to being too personal or require Maria and Major/God of War to answer them, which was unlikely to answer being that it's not something they are used to or want to do due to how they are as a person.
"So who wants to ask a question" Demetri asked with a huff as I could tell without needing to read his mind with my gift to know he really didn't want to ask but knew he should ask so it gets it over with as that is what I would do myself in his shoes, but just as one of the male nomads who I couldn't be bothered to remember their name for reasons I never want to repeat, was gonna ask a question the doors from the gardens opened up with Jane, Alec, Marcus walked through with Isabella, while holding what appeared to be a stinky diaper, which I could tell was a fresh one as the smell ripped into the air so much I was glad i could hold my breath unlike our guests who obviously haven't to need to.
I was trying not to laugh as if I did I would have to breathe with the reactions of the guests who had mixed reactions, some looked panicked, while others was trying to find access to fresh air, I saw that our coven was in the same position as myself trying not to laugh while also holding our breathe which we can easily do but not while not laughing, as it becomes quite painful the longer we hold it.
Suddenly a calming wave washed over me, not knowing where it came from but glad of it as I assume that is what everyone else felt as everyone began to look calmer, except Caius and Jane who just had a scowl look on their faces to say they didn't like it, as I stopped holding my breath to speak more comfortable, "so why did you bring that timebomb in here, not that I didn't find it funny but it was kind of ill timed as we was gonna get answers to questions that we had, plus now we got to explain about Isabella early that we was gonna do" I said while trying not to breathe too much with that smell still lingering in the room as Marcus still held the diaper in his hand tangling, "well that's the point of bring this timebomb in as you called it, not just that but they also got bored waiting, so the twins gave me thing to bring in, to break up any tension, but also to get introductions sorted so everyone can know about Isabella instead of delaying it any further" Marcus explained with a strained face as he was the closest to the diaper.
"That's a fair point but can you get rid of it now before anyone regurgitate their lunch as I would like to hold mine in thank you" Caius demanded while his face looked to getting paler by the second, with several nods going around the room in agreement, seeing that did what was asked of him from the twins, Marcus went to dispose of the smelly diaper, while everyone started to open the windows and doors to let some much needed fresh air.
"So now that everyone Is paying attention should we get you all up to date with everything, as I know seeing you all want to know why we have a child here who isn't a immortal child, so we will tell you everything, and hope that you all will understand what we are telling you" Marcus said as he started to walk back into the room again with a smile on his face, while myself and the rest of our coven kept quiet so we could let him explain.
