This guy is... trouble.
As I studied the situation, I couldn't help but feel that this was one of the 'heavy-hitter' that Grim had once mentioned. Entities within the afterlife that were on par to him, the personification of Death itself. Yet, this wasn't... Grim- it wasn't like him.
Grim's spirit was 'depressing', it drained and it saddened those that were looking into it. Meanwhile this guy, Marceline's father, was... Well, he was unnerving. He was 'weird' in terms of what a 'rational' entity should be, and merely looking at him had me shivering.
Then again, I was also running on adrenaline as I was still spent from my fight with Diego. And since this didn't look like an easier brawl, I wasn't planning to stay here for long.
"I believe we should be leaving, sir," I remarked dryly, causing the tall demon to snort.
"Not with my daughter, little guy. Let me put it black on white- Just because you smell friendly, that doesn't mean you get a freebie."
"I wasn't asking," I pushed back, growling as Marceline happily squeezed at my hand as I offered her to hold mine. "Marcy doesn't deserve this suffering."
"Oh? And you think you can just go around and call the shots? Actually, how did you even get here, little human?"
"My name is Arthur-"
"Hunson. Hunson Abadeer, little Arthur," He interrupted. "But that's not the answer to questions, isn't it?"
The pressure doubled, but I didn't budge. "I don't have to tell you anything, Hunson."
"Fair- No wait, you are in my house and trying to kidnap my daughter."
"Kidnapping is a strong and wrong word."
"Oh? And what should it be?!" Hunson pressed, sounding irritated.
"Rescuing her from bad parenting."
He looked ready to jump me, his eyes narrowed, his posture preparing for the pounce but-
"Why should I come at you, when you two need to come through me?"
His question made my smirk fall. I had tried to get a rise out of him- if I had him make the mistake to attack us, I would have had that window of opportunity we needed to get to the portal.
"A-Artie, you don't need to… you know, help me. You could just leave and- Uh?" I patted her head, turning to greet her with a smile.
"I got this, worrywart," I promised, turning and gesturing to her to get on my back. "Hop on."
Marceline blinked and her eyes widened in awe at my confidence, then she smiled as she followed my request as she and Hambo got where I needed them to be for the time being.
I couldn't be distracted in whatever move I planned to engage, holding her hands or keeping track of her presence beside me- it would be an extra hindrance for what we needed to do.
"You know, boy, if I wasn't aware you have some tricks, I would say you have gone insane. And that would have been strange since you haven't seen the worst this place has to offer," Hunson commented mirthfully. "So, what are you up to?"
I smiled. "Well, that's simple. I took notice of your legs."
"Hm?" Hunson leaned down to check his red boots. "My legs? What about them?"
"You don't exercise much,"
He nodded, appearing sheepish. "Yeaaaah, I just don't see the point of- oh?"
I didn't let him finish, turning to the side and bolting towards the nearby window. As I rushed towards the only way out of the house, trying to expand my 'field' some more, I kept an eye on Hunson for any surprises- anything that would suggest he was actually really fast or… worse.
In a single blink of an eye, I saw the demon was no longer in front of the portal and-
"Up ahead!" Marcy squeaked in fright, and Hunson was indeed there.
「Second Chance」 took over my legs by supporting his on mine and pushed us all back. A bit too late as I got a sharp claw wound on my left leg, forcing me to falter momentarily before keeping my Stand's own leg over mine to reinforce it some more.
"Almost got you, little boy. I suppose there's a reason to check the Nightosphere beyond losing your mind. After all, no human like you would have survived there."
Well, ain't that sweet?
I sighed, calming down my mind as I considered what to do next. Was there no other option beyond clashing with Hunson and, hopefully, drawing a solution while at it?
I was already tired, my body was still injured, and I had to consider Marceline was still on my back as I felt her shake a little and whisper a 'are you okay?' as I considered what to do next. Nodding, I then shifted my attention around for anything but-
"There's no way for you two to run. You can just give up and give Marceline back. She will be punished some more for this but… you will be spared~."
"I will not give up on Marcy!"
I tried to think of anything I could use with 「Second Chance」 in terms of abilities. I could try to hit him with a differently-shaped Spin through the odd things around but… would that actually work? I was dealing with too many unknowns at the same time. But then, as I contemplated ways to get to the portal quickly, I remembered something.
During the battle with Diego, he used the Spin against the android. Can we, like, copy his teleporting ability?
I can't say for sure-cha. But I think we could do that if we use it with the Spin, boss.
This suggestion floored me momentarily.
It was huge as this changed the rules of engagement entirely. I just needed to get Hunson distracted for long enough for this to actually work- and I had a rather bold idea on how to get that out of the way.
A smile crept on my face as I put all in this gamble to survive the encounter.
"Hm? Are you going to give u-uh?!"
I rushed towards Hunson, my left hand mustered to produce three rapid-fired Spin attacks. The air was wrapped in those spheres, propelled swiftly against my target as Hunson frowned at my approach.
"Rushing forward like a moron," He mumbled, sounding disappointed as he readied himself to punch me away. "Didn't peg you for that kind of… oh?"
Right before his punch could connect, both Marcy and I shifted out of sight and… were replaced by the air ball I sent soaring towards the portal, with the two of us hurled through it.
Hunson tried to catch up with us, but the portal created an interesting situation: as we jumped through, we were hurled into an aimless path that went through a different lane than the one Hunson took.
At first, I was unsure of where we were going, but then I saw familiar locations- We were in Megaville and… once we were out of the portal, we landed on what appeared to be-
"The school's rooftop?" I asked owlishly, surprised that we could have ended up here. But as I tried to take a step forward, I felt my injured leg wobble as I feel on one knee. "Dang it…"
"You're hurt," Marcy mumbled, getting off my back. "We need to get you fixed up!"
"Well, we could stop by my house for a while, maybe get something for you to eat before we go check your mama."
She smiled and nodded. "Yes!"
Another insane day gone by and… poop, I hate being hurt like this.

Diego Brando was unsure of what to do next, hence why he had been led by his newest companion into a 'random shopping spree'.
To be fair, he could have refused this, but Diego needed one thing that this little break from action was granting him- time to recover his stamina. And to collect his thoughts after what happened with that Stand, 「Wonder of U」.
This seemingly 'omnipotent' Stand was behind [Misfortune], a factor that someone like him found to be most perplexing. As the heir to Dio Brando, the idea that something could defy [Fate] and [Heaven] was quite absurd, yet he could tell this new factor was indeed above anything his mind could comprehend.
The mere idea that something so immense could exist and be mostly unbeatable made his mouth water. It was power that would allow him to change things in this world in a perfect realm fit of his name and mind.
But, as of recently, his interest to dominate the world had suffered a major setback- if not an entire rework of what he thought would have been a most glorious plan to [Heaven].
What Bell did, someone he thought of as a little sister, left him shocked that such a treachery could unfold. The fact that Diego could tell this was due to her father's own plans… Yes, this was infuriating!
He thought he could treat her with loyalty, but she deemed it more 'right' to just ditch him like a waste. Like Samantha!
A growl came from his lips, an unconscious reaction but-
"I am almost done, brother. No need to whine about it," The petulant response brought him out of his annoyed look and… back to what had been occupying his time for now.
After all, he was without a faction- but that didn't stop him from doing what father would do in his situation: adapt and overcome the hurdles while getting himself his own minions.
Except this one felt less than a minion and more of a second-in-command. Glancing to the changing room right as she walked out of it, the pink-haired gum-human that stood before him gave him a pose.
"Tah-dah~!" Bonnibel cheered giddily and Diego nodded calmly, causing her to pout. "You could also give me more than just a nod!"
"I am not good in terms of feminine clothes. But you look nice."
"Gee, you are not fun," She huffed, then smiled. "So, where do we go next?"
It was difficult keeping mad with Bonnie, the girl having been his 'priority' for roughly three hours now, starting from when he had to rescue her from the secret laboratory he found her being 'experimented upon'.
She was a humanoid made of gum- her body and hair was gum, all so pink but of different shades of that color. Also, her mind- it was… precious.
It was what Diego needed to start a proper cult like DIO's, and thus he made sure she was given the best options by 'browsing' the clothing shop they found. The shopkeeper was on the ground, unconscious, with the cameras and the control section at the entrance disabled in this little 'heist in the name of fashion'.
"We will go find a new base."
"That's neat! Can I pick? Please, I am good at this game."
"It's not a game- not when our safety depends on this," Diego admitted sternly, but then softened a bit as he saw her deflate a bit. "But I will let you pick from the options I found best for us."
"Yay!"
Diego Brando smiled, for this was, without a doubt, the most ambitious New Plan to control [Fortune] itself!
