A Few Minutes After Weiss Woke Up From Her Fight with Sephiroth…

CRDL sat in their room, deep in thought. "Mmm… so how are we going to be better people? Sure, we've helped a few old ladies cross the street but… you think we could do something more?" Cardin wondered.

"Hmm… like what?" Sky wondered. "Think we could… bake some brownies for some little girls or something?"

"No… something bigger than that." Cardin said. "Something… that wouldn't be easy to do."

The four of them folded their arms, closing their eyes as they were trying to figure out what to do. "…I got nothing." Dove said.

"Me neither." Sky said.

"I'm drawing blanks." Russel sighed.

"…There's one thing I just thought of." Cardin said as the boys turned to him, and he opened his eyes. "We apologize to Velvet for what we did to her."

"Oh! That's a good idea!" Russel said.

"Hold it." Dove spoke up. "There's something that will make it impossible for us to apologize to Velvet."

"Mmm… yeah, I thought of that possibility." Cardin nodded. "Coco…"

"What do you think we should do? That girl's gonna turn us into swiss cheese!" Sky warned.

"…It's a risk I'm willing to take." Cardin said. "I mean… it's either we start apologizing or we never get the chance because of fear." He turned to his team. "So… who's with me?"

Meanwhile, with Whitley…

"Mmm…" Whitley sat on a bench with Ling, looking at the clouds. "It's amazing how far my sister has come."

"Yeah, it's crazy." Ling said. "Winter is part of the Winter Ops, Weiss is practically a goddess at this point, Klein is becoming a doctor, your mother is not only forever sober, but she's also one cool mother, plus I'm still under the belief that she's secretly a badass."

"Yup, that's about right." Whitley chuckled.

"And you… you unlocked your semblance out at the Tundra, and, to be honest, you're getting better at it, not to mention you're getting better with your daggers in our friendly spars." She said, winking at him.

Whitley smiled. "Yeah, you're right about that."

"However… something's been bugging me for a long time."

"What is it?"

"Your clothing." She looked at him. "I mean, you're more relaxed and loosened up… so why continue wearing this prim and proper outfit all the time?"

"Well, it's not like I have much choice." Whitley said. "Ever since our fortune was stolen after the SDC blew up, our money is rather tight. We can only do so much… not to mention that despite coins reappearing in the Golden Plains, not even that is enough."

"Oh… right, I forgot about that." Ling quietly said. "That would explain why the Belladonnas always brings food to your home."

"Exactly… and while we're grateful, it's just that we feel like we're burdens, but Ms. Belladonna always disagrees."

"That's because she's always kind hearted… and so is Mr. Belladonna too." Ling said. "I mean, come on, they're just being neighborly."

"I know." Whitley sighed. "If only our fortune wasn't gone… that way, we'd get some new clothes for all of us."

"That settles it." Ling said as she stood up. "Come on, babe… I'll pay for your clothing."

"Huh?!" Whitley looked at her in surprise. "Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean… it sounds kind of bad that a girl would pay for their guy's own clothing…"

"Not unless their boyfriend is poor and is in need." Ling winked. "Besides, I'm a nurse in training, they've got good pay." She said and took his hand. "Come on, let's go. I think it's time we show the world the new and improved Whitley." She smiled.

Whitley smiled. "Alright, let's do it!"

"Great! To Coconut Mall!" She said and then took off running.

"Whoa!"

Back with CRDL…

"There she is." Cardin said, looking through binoculars as she was out at the Smash Mansion's backyard, helping Olimar with planting flowers.

"Is Coco around?" Sky asked.

"I don't see her… we might have a clear shot at this. Let's move." Cardin took off with the boys behind him.

At the gardens…

"Oh, this flower garden is truly beautiful!" Velvet smiled. "I'm… not sure why we're doing this at this time of year though."

"These special Pik Pik Flowers can survive even the harshest of winters." Olimar explained. "So, I'm very certain that once winter rolls around next month, these flowers will bloom spectacularly in the snow."

"Ooooh! That makes sense." Velvet smiled. "Well, I'm sure it will make some gorgeous scenery."

"Hup too! Hup too! Hup too!"

Velvet turned to see some Pikmin carrying a garden hose as they planted it down. One red Pikmin turned around and gave a few Purple and Yellow Pikmin the thumbs up as they started to run and turn the hose on… and right on cue, the hose sprang to life and started to become a bucking bronco for the Pikmin.

"Waaaaaaah!"

"I got it." Velvet said, taking a hold of it and then started watering the flowers. A few Winged Pikmin came flying by and started sprinking the flowers with tiny buckets of water.

"Hey, bunny! …I mean, Velvet!"

Velvet froze up. "…Oh no…" She groaned as she turned to see CRDL approaching her. "What do you boys want?" She asked in a dismissive tone.

"These the boys that gave you trouble?" Olimar asked as Velvet nodded. "I see." He nodded and then blew into his whistle, as the Pikmin came running over and got into fighting stances.

"Aw, look… how adorable." Russel knelt down. "These guys look so cute when they're angry. They probably won't even-"

"Yaaaaah!"

Several of the Pikmin latched onto him and started attacking him. "Ack! Hey! Get off of me! Ow! Quit pinching me! OW!"

"There's more where that came from." Olimar said.

Cardin sweatdropped. "Yikes…" He whispered. "Look, uh, Velvet… there's something that we-"

"What the HELL are you doing here!" A voice yelled, causing the boys to stiffen as Coco marched over to them.

"Oh… Coco… how… uh… nice to see you!" Cardin said nervously.

"Are you planning on doing something to my Bun Bun again?" Coco said. "Because if you are…" She snarled, bringing out Gianduja. "I WILL turn you into swiss cheese if you even touch a single HAIR on her!" She said. "You have until the count of five to get out of here or so help me…"

Cardin smirked. "You wouldn't. You're bluffing."

BGM: Danger! There's Trouble (Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX)

Coco started revving it up. "Am I?"

Cardin paled. "Oh…" He started sweating. "Uh… this is awkward… look uh, this is all just a biiiiig misunderstanding."

"Five."

"Look, just put the weapon down and we can just talk like civilized human beings." Cardin said.

"Four…"

"Hey look, there's no need to be rash, Coco!"

"Three!"

"Cardin…" Dove whimpered.

"Hey hey hey, there's no need for violence! I'm a changed person. We all are!" Cardin said, getting a little bit desperate.

"TWO…"

"There is NO need for this! Just put the weapon down!" Cardin exclaimed.

"ONE…"

The minigun's barrel started turning as RDL started backing up in fear… while Cardin clenched his teeth.

"So it's come to this…" Cardin whispered.

"ZER-"

Cardin quickly got on his hands and knees. "VELVETWEAPOLOGIZEFOROURBEHAVIOREARLIER!" He yelled quickly.

End BGM

"Huh?!" Velvet and Coco said in surprise, the sheer shock was enough for the Pikmin to stop attacking Russel and Coco dropped her weapon.

"We… we apologize for what we did to you." Cardin said as RDL did the same position as to what Cardin was doing. "I know we were bullies but… we decided to forgo that after a near death experience. We wanted to be heroes just like RWBY and JNPR, but… we were way in over our heads. We thought it'd be better… if we were just better people."

Cardin looked at the two. "I know you probably don't have it in yourselves to forgive us, considering what we've done… and yeah, I did deserve getting a Super Carrot shoved into my mouth a long time ago, but… we humbly apologize."

"…Cardin…" Velvet whispered.

"Rrrgh!" Coco growled. "Apology not accepted! This is probably just some ploy just to get our guards down so you can mess with my girl again! Guess what? I'm not going to-"

"Coco, wait!" Velvet said. "They… they probably are trying to be better people. Don't you hear the humility in their words?"

"Mmm… but… Velvet… they-"

"I know… but people can change. Besides, you remember what Jaune told us."

"…I… I know that!" Coco sighed before wrapping her arms around Velvet. "Look, Bun Bun… they might be apologetic, but I'm worried they might try something funny to hurt you again…"

"You don't think I don't know that? I'm well aware it's them but… perhaps we ought to give them a chance? Please?" Velvet gave her a soft smile

"Ooooh… fine…" Coco sighed. "Velvet, you're too soft sometimes… but that's just what I love about you." She said, causing Velvet to softly giggle, and then Coco pulled away from her and gave CRDL a glare. "Alright… I'm willing to give it a shot, but I'm warning you… try anything funny on my girl and I swear, I will turn you all into swiss cheese."

"You got yourself a deal." Cardin said as they slowly rose. "So… where's Jaune? I'm sure he's around here somewhere."

"Last I heard, he decided to train at Hyrule." Olimar said. "Perhaps you can wait here?"

"I suppose that can be arra-" Suddenly, a shadow loomed over there. "Huh?" Cardin looked up as did the rest of them… and they saw Rayquaza circling above them before slowly coming in for a landing.

"Oh sweet Pik Carrots!" Olimar paled as Coco quickly got in front of Velvet, aiming her weapon at Rayquaza.

"What the hell is this thing doing out and about?" Coco growled as Rayquaza landed on the ground.

"Whoa, easy! Easy!" A female voice called out. "I was just taking this big boy out for a walk!" She said and then a woman jumped off of Rayquaza's head, doing a few flips and landing gracefully. "No need to point your weapons at him."

"Who are you? …And why were you riding on that demonic lizard's back?" Coco demanded.

The woman smiled, before running up to Coco and screeching to a halt. "Cute weapon you got there!" She smiled. "Name's Zinnia, nice to meet ya!" She said, happily shaking Coco's hand.

"Uh… thank you…?"

"Oh! Is that a humanoid Lopunny? I've never seen one before!"

"Um, no, I'm a Faunus…"

"Oooh, okay… not sure what that means but that's cool." Zinnia shrugged and then saw Olimar. "Heeeey, little space dude! How are you!"

"Oh, hello Zinnia…"

"You know her?" Coco asked.

"She tends to visit the Smash Mansion often. She also likes to hang out with Rayquaza."

"Which I still don't get how it's possible!" A voice called out as they saw Fox McCloud approaching them. "This is the same Rayquaza that managed to nearly kill me and Diddy Kong… and threatens to kill anyone who gets close to his lake. And yet, this woman is like… the exception."

"Oh, that's because Ray Ray and I go way back!" Zinnia smiled. "Not to mention that he's just a big ol' teddy bear!" Zinnia smiled as Rayquaza lowered his head. "Isn't that right, cutie? Yes, you're just a big ol' teddy bear! Yes you are! Yes you are!" She giggled, rubbing the bottom of his lower jaw.

"…What am I even looking at?" Coco sweatdropped.

"Uh… wholesomeness… with a killing machine?" Velvet rubbed her head.

CRDL, meanwhile, looked at Rayquaza. "So uh… you think he remembers us throwing smoke bombs into his lake that one time?" Dove whispered.

Rayquaza shifted his gaze to CRDL… and with a snarl, he let out a loud roar.

"Yup, he remembers us!" Cardin paled. "We're gonna take a rain check on apologizing to Jaune! Maybe some other time!" He said as they took off running, screaming in the process.

"Huh, what's their deal?" Zinnia wondered.

"So… are you from Alola or Galar…?" Coco wondered.

Zinnia smiled. "I'm from Hoenn!"

At Coconut Mall…

"Okay, I have to say… this feels strangely… me!"

"Knew you'd love it! Come out and show me your cute self." Ling smiled as Whitley walked out of the changing room.

Whitley was now sporting an icy blue jacket with ivory white fur on the hood and underside of the jacket. He was also wearing a white T-shirt with the Schnee Emblem, a white lether belt with holsters for his daggers, grey fitting denim pants, and white sneakers. He was also wearing silve goggles with blue-tinted lens and wearing a pair of black fingerless gloves.

"I do look rather stylish." Whitley said, but noticed Ling was looking rather perplexed. "What's up?"

"Something's… bugging me. I feel like it's not complete." Ling folded her arms, then looked at his hair. "…Ah, I know what's wrong." She said as she walked over and started to mess his hair up.

"Wah?! Hey! Hey! Stop! My hair's fine as is!"

"Nope, it doesn't go with that outfit." Ling said, as she was finished ruffling his hair. "Ah, there we go… my masterpiece!" She smiled as Whitley looked into a mirror, and found that his hair was more unkempt and messy, similar to Oreki Hotarou from Hyouka.

"Wh-what did you do to my hair?!"

"Made it messy! It's the new you, after all." Ling said. "And besides, I think having messy hair suit your more~" She said in a flirty voice.

Whitley blushed. "Y-you think so, Ling?"

"Yup! Honestly, your new hairstyle kinda makes you look like a newer and better person than you were before. Not to mention that it also looks kinda cute on you as well..."

"Gee… th-thanks…"

"I'll be right back, I'm gonna go pay for it!" Ling said and walked off as Whitley examined himself.

You know, maybe she's right… I guess having messy hair does look better on me more than my old look… He thought as he pulled out his scroll and did a selfie before texting his family.

"Aw, they love it!" Ling smiled, peeking over his shoulder.

"Wah!" Whitley jumped in surprise.

"Now… one more thing." Ling took a picture of him. "I have a buddy who works at the Mushroom City Jail. Your dad is going to have a massive heart attack."

Meanwhile, at the Mushroom City Jail…

"Hmm?" The warden pulled out his scroll. "Oh, it's a message from Ling."

Hey, show this to Jacky Boy. He's gonna flip!

"PFFFT! Oh, that's good!" He laughed, looking at Whitley's new appearance as he walked over to the mess hall where Jacques was busy eating by himself. "Hey, Schnee! You have a text message from your son."

"Whitley? Ah, good, he finally came through and is on his way to get me out of this jungle gym."

"Not even close." He said, showing him the picture message.

Jacques took a sip of his water the moment he saw the picture… and did a spit take. "WHAT THE DEVIL?! NO! THAT BOY IS MAKING A MOCKERY OF ME! GET ME OUT OF HERE! I WANT TO SMACK HIM!"

"Smack the wall for all I care." The warden said and walked off, then texted Ling what Jacques had just said.

Oh! He's taking it better than I thought. Wonderful~!

Back with the two lovebirds…

Ling giggled. "Your father disapproves immensely."

"If this look is gonna give him an ulcer, than that's good enough for me." Whitley said as he walked off with Ling accompanying him.

"So, you want to go show Team RWBY your new look?"

"Sure."

"Then let's go!" Ling smiled as the two walked off together, while at the same time, being smug over Jacques' massive disapproval.

Ah, recently playing ORAS for the first time (And Hoenn in general) really brings out the inspiration. Zinnia's a completely massive dork and I love her. I went "I really oughta bring her into this universe. She's too fun!"

Also, shoutout to DarkRebellion for approaching me and showing me a new look that he had for Whitley. It also inspired me to make a Gaiden out of this, so thanks for the idea, Dark!
