While JIX and Co Were Demolishing the Wreck Train

Yang leaned her hands on the sink and looked at herself in the mirror. "Hmm…" She narrowed her eyes, looking directly at her hair.

With a nod, she grabbed a hair clip and attempted to tie her hair into a ponytail. She flashbacked to when she had her first friendly spar against K. Rool where he accidentally undid her ponytail and she never bothered to fix it back up.

"Ah, going back to the ponytail, are we?" A voice asked as Yang turned her head to see Claude leaning in the doorway.

"Yeah, thought I'd go back to… wait a minute, when'd you get here?"

"Oh, just thought I'd drop by and say hi to my favorite firecracker." He flirted, causing Yang to blush. "That and I knew you were sad, so I dropped everything to come over to cheer you up."

"Aw, that's swee-… wait, how did you know I was sad?"

"Boyfriend intuition."

"Said intuition is basically the sister that sent him a text!" Ruby's voice was heard from the other side.

Yang laughed. "Oh, Rubes…" She shook her head while Claude sheepishly shrugged. "Thanks for dropping by…"

"Ah, don't mention it." Claude said. "Rosebud filled me in on what got you so depressed. Honestly, I don't really blame ya. Sounds pretty rough if you ask me."

"Yeah… it is."

"I don't really blame you for thinking like that. I'd be a bit mad too if that was the reason, not to mention the whole "strong live, weak die" mentality." He then frowned. "However. We've only heard one side of the story… perhaps we ought to hear her side and then make our conclusions there."

"I don't think we'll ever get a straight answer." Yang mumbled quietly. "Besides, I've heard enough from mom… from the sounds of it, it sounds like she didn't get a straight answer either. I don't know why she left… but if she doesn't come back, then that's fine with me."

"I suppose so… but hey, you never know. There might just be an opportunity for you to meet your biological mother. Now I'm not saying you ought to go find answers yourself… but you might cross paths with her one day."

Hopefully notYang thought as she tried to adjust her hair.

"Hmm… ya know, I'm curious about something. I don't think I ever got an explanation on that semblance of yours. All I know is that your hair catches on fire."

"Well, the thing is-"

"Her semblance is basically absorbing kinetic energy from any attack she takes, makes herself more powerful and dishes it back to her opponent." They would turn to see Summer leaning out of the doorway. "Her hair catching fire is part of said semblance. Ruby thinks she draws power from her hair, which is a misconception."

"What? It sounds cooler that way!"

"Oooh… so that's why you get a little touchy when you lose a strand of hair." Claude said. "I thought it was just vanity." He teased.

"Oh you." Yang rolled her eyes.

"Mind if I help ya? You seem to be struggling a bit." Claude said as he tried to help her out with trying to make her hair into a ponytail, but found a little snag. "Uh… babe?"

"Yeah?"

"You ever thought about brushing your hair?"

"I do it all the time. Why?"

"Oh…" He put his hands up in front of the mirror, revealing they're all tangled in the strands of hair. "No reason."

"Oh my…" Yang said, before she started snickering. "Well, that's what you get for touching it!"

"Oh dear… that's a lot of knots." Summer grimaced. "Hang on, I got this." She said, walking over and humming to herself, managing to get Claude's hands free from her hair.

"Whoa… how did you do that?"

Summer giggled. "I've got the motherly touch." She said and then smiled. "Still got it!" She said and then looked at her daughter. "Mind if I fix you up? I know how to fix this."

"Uh… sure." Yang nodded as Summer turned the sink on, and before Yang could say anything, Summer proceeded to dunk her head into the sink. "Ack! Mmmph!"

"Hmmhmhmhm~" Summer hummed, grabbing the shampoo and conditioner as she happily brushed her daughter's hair, while Claude sweatdropped… not to mention looking a bit unnerved.

"Uh… wouldn't it better if you did it in the tub?"

"Oh, this is a lot faster." Summer smiled.

"What's going on in here?" Ruby wondered while having Apollo on her shoulder. "…Uh, mom? Why are you drowning my sister?"

"Fixing her hair!"

"…While drowning her?"

"Please, it's not "drowning", it's more of an "impromptu hair treatment"." Summer smiled sweetly, causing both of them to sweatdrop.

"Pew…?" Apollo tilted his body.

"Your guess is as good as mine, sweetie…" Ruby said as Zwei came walking in out of curiosity.

"Aaaand done~!" Summer smiled, pulling Yang's head out of the sink.

"Haaaah… haaaaaaaah… what the HELL?" Yang spat.

"Oh, but look into the mirror!" Summer smiled as Yang looked up… and saw that her hair was more wavier than usual.

"Whoa!" Yang said in surprise.

"Ah, reminds me of the old days when you only allowed me to mess with your hair when you were just a little girl." Summer smiled. "All the pigtails and ponytails I crafted, ah, memories~!"

"Yeah… I'm suddenly getting nostalgic." Yang smiled… and then heard the sound of scissors snipping as she paled and turned around. "Mom, what are you doing?!"

"I was also the only one who was allowed to cut your hair after that whole "first haircut" incident." Summer said. "Honestly, Yang… I'm surprised your hair isn't dragging across the floor and picking up all kinds of debris along the way."

"I have my… reasons." Yang said. "But I don't think cutting my hair is necessary."

"Oh, how about just a little off the top? Or maybe shorten your hair juuuust a little bit…"

"MOM!" Yang blushed in embarrassment.

"Oh alright, picky picky…" Summer pouted and then put the scissors down. "…I do have an idea though. I did buy these from the store just in case if you wanted to do something different."

"Like what?"

Summer reached into the cabinet and pulled out hair dye. "Hair dye~!"

"Oooooh!" Ruby's eyes sparkled as she looked into the hair dye. "So many options! Red, orange, green… oooh, blue!" She said as she looked at herself in the mirror, then looked at the blue hair dye, picturing herself with blue hair.

Nah, too chaoticShe thought as she put it down while Yang looked at all the coloring and was screaming on the inside.

"Hey, we can turn you into a brunette!" Claude teased.

"Or a red head! We can be twins!" Ruby smiled. "…Although you'd be the more well endowed twin…" She said, causing Claude and Summer to snicker while Yang groaned a bit.

"How about we just have me stay straight blonde? That's reasonable, no? Heheh… great talking with ya!" She said as she tried to get out the door.

Slam!

Yang grimaced, realizing that Zwei had shut the door and much to her horror, Apollo jumped off of Ruby's shoulder and managed to lock said door. "Et tu, you guys?!" She paled as she saw the smirking faces off of her family and boyfriend, causing her to pale. "Eheheh… uh… can we talk about this? I'm warning you, don't come any closer!"

Ruby pulled out her Pokeball and aimed the ball near Yang. "Primrose, use Grass Knot on her arms and legs!" She ordered, calling her out.

"WHAT?!"

"Raaaaaaaaaade!" Primrose said, using Grass Knot on her limbs.

"Mmmph! Traitor…" Yang grimaced at the Roserade.

"Rose Rose." Primrose said with a shrug as Yang then turned to the others who held hair dye in their hands.

Oh crapYang thought as they proceeded to work on her hair and causing her to scream, which made Zwei cover Apollo's non-existent ears.

"Aaaaand done!" Summer smiled as they pulled away as Yang opened one eye.

"Is the horror over…?"

"Take a look!" Summer said as Yang looked at her hair… and saw red and orange highlights.

"Whoa!" Yang said.

"Blonde with a splash of red and orange. Now it's really completing the look!" Summer smiled and then grinned. "One final touch…" She said, reaching into a drawer and pulling out a pin. "Right before I went out on my last mission, I was in the middle of making this for you… and now I finally had the chance of finishing it. Although Claude might have pitched in and threw in an idea himself."

Summer tied Yang's hair into a ponytail, placing the pin in the hair. The pin in question was the Golden Deer symbol, and in the middle of it was a Solgaleo head.

"Whoa…" Yang whispered.

Claude smiled. "You might not go to Garreg Mach, but you'll always be a Golden Deer." He said with a proud smile.

"See? That wasn't so bad." Ruby smiled.

"…Wasn't so bad?" Yang turned to her sister. "Wasn't so bad? This coming from the lady who held me against my will!"

"Oh, it wasn't that bad!"

Yang grabbed the blue hair dye. "Oh really?" She smirked playfully.

Ruby's eyes widened. "Oh uh… look at the time… I uh… COMING PIT!" She yelled and used her semblance to get the heck out of there.

"Hey! You get back here right now!" Yang said, chasing after her while laughing.

"You know…" Claude had his arms folded. "Even if her hair got chopepd off, she could use her magical abilities to say, I dunno… make fiery hair to make her look intimidating?"

"Perhaps, but… I'm not sure how she'd pull that off." Summer said as she walked toward the kitchen. "You want something to eat? I just got done making brownies."

"Sure, I could go for one." Claude said, casually leaning on the wall and looking outside to see Yang chasing Ruby around the yard.

"No! I don't want to look chaotic! And I'm not sure why I feel it'd be chaotic but I still wanna be a red head!"

"Oh, don't be like that. You could go for a streak of blue on your side!"

"Oh please, even if you squeezed the bottle, it wouldn't get very far!"

"I'm well aware."

"…Yang, what are you doing? AAAAH! NO! NOT THE WATER GUN!"

"Yes the water gun!"

"You'll never take me aliiiiiive!"

"Ah… kids." Summer said, putting a pan of brownies down on the table… and then Tai walked in on them holding grocery bags.

"Hey, why is Yang shooting Ruby with a water gun?" Tai asked.

"It's a long story." Both of them said in unison.

"I'll take it." Tai chuckled, grabbing himself a brownie as the three started chatting while Ruby was unfortunate enough to get hair dye on her skin and clothing, but her hair wasn't touched… yet.

"Alright, this calls for the big guns!"

"What, the water pistol wasn't enou- YOU'RE BRINGING OUT THE SUPER SOAKER?!"

"Helps with accuracy!" Yang giggled, hearing Ruby screaming as she took off running while Yang chased after her sister, all the while Claude, Tai and Summer casually ate brownies while avoiding the chaos.

Thought about posting this tomorrow morning so I wouldn't have to worry about stopping in the middle of the chapter and watching Microsoft and Square's E3, but I thought to myself "Eh, i'll go ahead and post it right now." because chances are, i'd forget about it when I wake up and on top of that, i'd more than likely be watching all the trailers over and over again and then before I knew it, it wouldn't get published, ya know?

Also, holy cow, Ubisoft, that was AWESOME. While I don't really care for Far Cry and Rainbow Six Siege, those were some good stuff! (Looking at you, Rainbow Six Extraction...) Especially Mario and Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. Those Luma and Rabbid hybrids are CURSED. I hope we also get Rosalina as a playable character. You can't just drop Rabbid Rosie like that and not bring the cosmic lady in too.

I've also heard some theories that that punk Rabbid might be affiliated with Bowser... one way to find out?

I would say something about Devolver Digital but... I didn't watch it. For those who did... how was it?
